HELLO
i am having top surgery less than 3 weeks from today (January 22, 2024.) this is as sudden to me as it is to you!
Earlier this week I tried talking to my insurance company about what I am going to pay for surgery. you may recall that at the end of 2023 they refused to give me a dollar amount. Unfortunately they refused again to tell me the number. Truly BCBS is the gift that continues to take and take and take. So I have no idea if I have enough saved to cover the cost of surgery (could be right on the money! could be less than I anticipated! could be twice as much! world's most nerve-wracking gashapon machine.)
I also just had my pre-operative appointment this morning and confirmed with my surgeon what I need in recovery. here is my beautiful amazon wishlist for post-op. if you think i will need something that is not on this list reach out to me, I might have bought it offline or I might not know.
IF you don't want to buy me something from amazon but you still want to help me get through this financially, you can send me a ko-fi to help cushion whatever cost i may not have anticipated, as well as the several days I will be without pay* post-surgery BEFORE my built-up time off can be used.
*my workplace's time off policy works in strange ways it's all kind of silly
my third and final request is for simple recipes. I need these because I'm not a very creative cook, and I need to meal prep the weekend of January 20 so that I don't starve and wither to nothing and blow away in the winds leaving nothing but dust. send me a resippy! tell me how to cook! tell me how to make something that's tasty or at least palatable. i don't like pork and struggle with beef but i'll gladly eat chicken and fish. and fruits and vegetables.
so basically that's it, but also thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support over the past few months especially. this site has its ups and downs and good and bad but i think basically there's a lot of good kind people in the world and some of them are you.
if you can share this please do! I appreciate it a lot.

G-ROSSO Super Sentai stage show guide (7/2023)
Theatre G-Rosso is located within the theme park Tokyo Dome City. The theme park had a long history of Hero Shows running back to the 70s. The theatre was established in 2009 as a permanent indoor stage. There are 4 seasons each year with showings on weekends and holidays. Suidobashi station is a little closer than Korakuen/Kasuga subway. I visited it for the first time in July 2023.

TICKETING
G-rosso ticketing depends on which seasons really. Tickets should be plentiful for the first two seasons, especially S2/August when they show every day. S3 and S4 with the face actors might be harder but the show runs for 3 months too so it should be possible.
ticket types + availibility / show schedule
There are three classes of G-rosso tickets (single adult admission) :
Premium (¥2500): first 3 rows + special gift
General (¥1900): rest of the theatre
Free Seating (¥1500): same-day showings for the last 5 rows at the end of the theatre. cash only, vending machine at the door.
You can of course book online through a proxy (bypassing japanse phone verification) but I think you can save that fee especially if you're staying for more than a week in Japan. For S2, I was able to buy the last Premium ticket for the next day (Saturday), and there were enough general seats available. Can't say for sure the same applies to S3/4 with face actors. As a foreigner, the most convenient way is to buy a ticket is from the convenience store Family Mart. Find any store with the photocopier-looking machine and follow the instructions to choose the show times and pricing, pay with cash at the counter and the staff will print you a paper ticket. same go for photo ops and handshake.
(Free Seating vending machine, photo ops ticket)

CHOOSING A SEAT
The theatre is two stories high and you can see the seating plan here. I was in the third row mid-right. What surprised me was how close to the stage the first rows are, barely an arm's distance. At one point Kuwagata Ohger leaned on the railing of the first row. The actors would also walk up to interact with the audience.
I think if you want to enjoy the whole stage and not aiming at the special gift, you can skip the Premium ticket and get a few rows further back. Another recommended seat is Row L just between the two blocks. That's where Spider Kumonos descends UPSIDE DOWN from the sky right in front of your eyes.
If for some reason you g-rosso on a whim / sneaked it into the schedule, the free entry ticket is available only at the vending machine on-site with cash. It's designated to the last rows but staff aren't strict on you moving if the theatre is not crowded.

PHOTO OPS & HANDSHAKE
as you'd've seen in commercials, you can pay extra to take a photo (with red only!) (¥1100) and shake hands (with all six) of the heroes (¥600) after the show. The tickets for those are available prior online and in convenience stores too, but if you ask the staff, they'll let you buy one with cash on an old-fashioned vending machine. Since it's my first time attending G-rosso, I did the whole package with birthday perks (no id checked).
A new backstage tour is available since August. Lottery ticketing required.

MERCH
The most iconic G-rosso exclusive merch is probably the hero hand light. I didn't really see a lot of kids holding it so I kinda forgot about it in the rush. the other true exclusive is a wooden plaque gashapon machine (¥300). There were booths for name badges for kids and you can get a bromide for ¥440. There was a cart selling DX toys and plushies. The special stuff is some toei online store acrylic stands, the muffler towel, cup and plate. Outside you'd find the food stall with collab items like popcorns and drinks with an original coaster.

REVIEW
As a kid's show the japanese won't be too difficult but I was so captivated by the action I wasn't really listening to the words. The plot is easy enough to follow though, and the website says an English pamphlet is available for borrowing (but I forgot to ask). It feels so professional compared to park stage shows but so tangible compared to tv. They make good use of the space with an under-stage pit/trampoline and the high ceiling with platforms and wires. my eyes were busy darting when the action was in one corner and then next. childhood wonder!!
leaving the theatre is a row of gashapon machines and a kids' play area with all the DX toys (:( no adults) and when you go up the escalator, on the side of the theatre entrance is a wall of pass hero show posters!
(i barely have any coherent notes about this) the plot is there's a cicada MOTW and he is brainwashed to make the earth's temperature rise and make evil clones of the team. Rita, raised in the land of snow, is bad at heat and went to sit in a corner and covered their head with the mantle. When facing their/Gira's evil clone, they said 'i'll just cut down both of them'. My notes said 'someday Rita is even gonna plead innocence for the bugs'. six of them roll call together with jeramie!! i was watching papillon-sama's fight style the whole time. and there were trampolines and flips and cartwheels and white spider man falling from the sky while the digital background zooms in and out and legit tears when we started cheering for the heroes. it's an experience okay.
(outside the theatre)

(purupurupuru) (purupurupuru) (gocha!) (coo!) (coo!)
Happy Jolly Monday, minna-san! I hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather is getting chillier so stay warm, drink plenty of warm fluids, and stay healthy. The flu is getting around lately. Stay in top shape. With that said, let’s get on with this week’s news. We have loads of stuff to share with you so you know the drill. First off, last week’s chapter is filled with new mysterious characters. We start off w/ Ussop, Franky, & Robin enjoying Sanji’s soba. It’s been a while since they had his cooking, and many customers are lined up. Just as everyone is eager to eat his delish soba, three goons from Kyoshiro’s clan name Kaku, Kuni, & Suke showed up to shut down Sanji’s soba stand. They tell Sanji that he’s gotta pay up if he wants to keep his shop safe from hooligans, but he refused. A little girl was about to enjoy her soba until Suke knock it off from her hands and cried. They then knocked over his soba stand. Seeing this enraged Sanji. The customers then ran off. The handsome cooked demand they eat the soba from the floor, but refused to do it. That answer was wroooonnng! So Sanji knocked that cahoots out of Kuni. Franky then took care of Suke with a new technique he learned from Senor Pink: Iron Suplex. Nice one, dude. Some spectators were shocked to see the guys defeat the jerks. The little girl whose soba got spilled came back with a smile hoping to eat the soba was excited to have. She approached and Sanji was able to give her some leftover. She tells the gang that she was late for work, but waited all day in line to eat the tasty soba. Her face glowed with excitement. So the girl’s name is Toko, but if says if you add O in front of her name, her whole is O-toko which means man in Japanese. The gang laughed at her name, and Toko laugh along telling them that her name is means “man”, but she is a girl. Ha ha ha ha ha! What a cutie!, She then finished eating and was about to leave saying that she’ll be back in the same streets since her job is an escort for a famous courtesan, and that many beautiful women will come by. At the end, the old lady that trained Robin to be a geisha came looking for her saying that she has been summoned to be at the shogun’s palace and that a famous geisha name Komurasaki will be presented at the castle as she is the no.1 famous geisha in all of Wano kingdom. The boy got excited to hear such rumor. So the parade begins as Komurasaki passes by with many praised coming from everywhere and Toko made just in time, and it seems she is the younger sister of the famous geisha. Back at Kyoshiro’s hideout, his goons informed him of Sanji’s rebel, and ordered to send out assassins to kill him. Suddenly, a shadow nine dragon figure appears from behind that happens to be the infamous Lord Orochi. Who is this mysterious villain that everyone speaks of? What is the role of this famous geisha? Is she a friend? Or a foe? GAH! So many questions! No chapter this week so it’s another two week break so be patient. Next, this past weekend’s episode is turning chaotic. Luffy continues to struggle to land a hit on Katakuri, but is trying to stay clam so he can also see his attacks coming. Back at the sea, Big Mom shows up in flames and in rage demanding for the wedding cake that the gang is hiding. She starts tearing apart Sunny as Jinbei jumps to defend. He tell her that that cake is not with them, but ignores his truth saying that he believes Perospero’s words. She says she would kill him if he lied, but believed in him. She starts attacking. Jinbei was suddenly knocked off from the ship. Nami and the others try their best to fend off Big Mom, but she was continuing tearing the ship. Just as things were getting worse, Jinbei shows up again and knocked her off from the ship, and Nami lay the finishing blow with her lighting attack. At the end, Luffy continues his struggle with the fight as Katakuri is attacking one step ahead. Next time, Luffy tries his best to see Katakuri’s attack with the wise words and training he learned from Rayleigh as his help and the rotten young sister, Flampe, makes her appearance. Don’t miss it! Now on with the goods! First off, figurines! figurines! Loads of it. Jump Fest is getting near, and Megahouse will be displaying 4 new POP figurines at the event. Next year, they’ll release this awesome POP Maximum of Luffy in gear 4th Snakeman mode, limited ed. of Hina, Maximum figurine of Zoro 3 thousand world attack, and bikini figurine of Nami with a beer. Online order is a possibility, but unsure. No worries, we will ask at the event and get back to you on it. Next, guess whose birthday is approaching next month? Yup! You all know him. He’s the hottest pirate with a feisty, but well-manner attitude. Give it up for Ace! YAY! YAY! The stores will be selling his birthday button, and his acrylic figurine. If you spend over 1000 yen, you’ll get his free mini poster. Now that’s hot! Tower will announce bday goods of him soon. Next, NEW YAKARA BUTTONS! YOLO! Also, Bandai stand will be giving away free spicy cheese puff snack that comes with surprised face of Eneru and the ASL bros. HA HA HA HA! Such unusual reaction from Ace & Sabo. Last, but not least, OP game app, Thousand Storm, will have a short campaign where you can now use Capt. Kuro & Jango as playable characters. Just earn enough points and you’ll get them for free. Also, the other game app, Treasure Cruise, is having a short campaign to celebrate the 100 million downloads from everyone. Oda-sensei was kind enough to draw Luffy to give thanks to all the fans. They’ll have short campaigns where you can earn loads of free points, get more free characters, and much more. Phew! I think we covered everything. Also, we like to remind that the crew and I will attend Jump Fest, but we won’t be able to stay for the Super Stage to see the Straw Hat voice actors as we have a flight to catch in the evening. Not to worry, our secret undercover nakama, Kinmaro, will be on the lookout for it. New Year is approaching and many surprises will be announced at the event. We’re done. Tune in next week for more news and a goods. Job well done, boys. Let’s call it a night. Also, check out the official YOUTUBE channel of OP. Oda-sensei drew an awesome head banner for it. Nighty-night!

That moment as a toy collector when it gets out of hand and suddenly you’re writing up plans for a small resale op and talking to your buddy whose collection is also out of hand about going in on it with you. Anyway, got a small storage unit. Working out logistics, ordering packaging, drawing up articles of incorporation. Finally moving my excess of Nerf guns and Marvel Legends off to greener pastures. Filling some market gaps for figure accessories. Planning the inevitable eBay shop and booth at one of those vendor-stall style flea markets. Stretch-goal? The booth having a gashapon machine. Right now though, it’s mostly spreadsheets.

January 1st, 2019 - The 2018 Recap:
This year for me was playing a lot more online mutliplayer games than I have for the past ten years combined! But of course that means I had more unbeatable time sinks than I did last year. So I ended up beating 39 games across 8 systems. Not a bad spread but I am hoping to do better next year. Maybe I’ll play some Saturn and Gameboy color games, the latter of which I haven’t touched in a couple years. But the fact that I put so many hours into 13″unbeatable” games this year is surprising to me. Games as a service is a real thing and just goes to show where the times are. Hopefully next year I can put more time into shorter and simpler more story driven games to counter act those numbers. I do really want to see 52 games beaten. But with that said this year was a success. I technically count those 13 games (of which I definitely sank over 10 hours into each of them) as games that are part of my completed games list. So I did it! I averaged a game beaten a week this year! Two years in a row!
Also holy shit did I start a lot of games this year! And I’m definitely missing a few on that list Q.Q

Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] and fundamental failure
Tumblr media
How do you judge a free-to-play mobile RPG? The kind with stamina timers, premium currency, and a "gashapon" that randomly dispenses characters and weapons? If you expect hours of uninterrupted play requiring dextrous, precise inputs, you're better off with a console game. But not even most portable console games can give you a satisfying play session within a lunch break, and most every mobile game can.
Although they're all intimately tied to a predatory monetization model, there's something special about a perpetual game on your phone. I hold fond memories of when Terra Battle or Tales of the Rays supplemented my life with structured play and planted a hobbyistic fervor in my mind with their clever, streamlined battle systems. There were post-launch story chapters and limited time events to frequently test my mettle, and when I just wanted to unwind, I was able to grind with easy content that didn't require my full attention. Despite some bursts of compulsive play and frustration with unlucky pulls, I felt I had mutualistic relationships with them.
My time spent with Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] on Android, however, was largely parasitic. It neither provides stimulating enough combat to fully engross nor allows for the relaxing, hands-off play of an idle game. So, KHUX fails to provide the base pleasures of free-to-play mobile RPGs.
Tumblr media
This game was first known as Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] on browser and originally for mobile as Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, changing to its current name with a new co-op mode so unremarkable I neglect to mention it elsewhere in this review.
Battles are turn-based, and each of your attacks is derived from a medal (the primary gashapon item) slotted into your keyblade. You can tap on the screen to attack a single target, swipe the screen for a weaker attack that hits all foes, or swipe a medal to activate its special attack (they're officially named special attacks) requiring the use of a resource gauge called... "gauge." These always deal damage and may heal, grant buffs and debuffs, restore gauge, or grant ailments. Whenever you attack, the current medal rotates out to the next one until you've used each once.
Now, streamlining gets a bad rap. It's often associated with dumbing down instead of refinement. But there are so many mobile games that take advantage of their simplicity to make accessible depth. Just look at Puzzle & Dragon, the mobile puzzle RPG that requires thought and skill surpassing many of its pure action puzzler peers. In its case, shrinking the game board and allowing the free movement of pieces makes it easier to read a board WHILE offering superior board manipulation than the average match 3 (meaning more combos that you meant to make and less that come by chance). That's successful streamlining.
Tumblr media
The medal system, unfortunately, doesn't use its simplicity for such an end. Each of your 3-7 medals must be activated one after the other in clockwise order starting with the first; your sequence of attacks is predetermined for every fight once you enter a stage. There's no dexterity or timing required for inputs. Ailments (largely useless) and enemy attack patterns are the only sources of randomization within combat, so there is no risk/reward dynamic.... and no choice. You either have enough gauge for a special attack or you don't. You either came with enough damage and healing to last or you didn't.
Though there's something resembling insight in the 1 Turn Triumph mechanic. You normally regain gauge piecemeal from damage dealt, but a 1 Turn Triumphs allow you to gain back multiple counts of gauge as long as you defeat enemies in a single turn. This requires consideration of enemy and medal attributes (red beats green beats blue) and damage distribution (single target or AoE). Clearing all enemies in a single turn is the most common requirement for objectives, optional achievements that grant currencies for character progression and the gashapon. Normally, you regain enough gauge to use special attacks at every opportunity, so you have to get a feel for how much damage you need to take out enemy formations in 1 turn, which will help you grind up enough gauge to defeat the stage boss.
Tumblr media
Sometimes, the same objective is repeated... within the same mission. Why?
The battle design is self aware of where mobile RPGs most disappoint; they can't make stages significantly challenging to complete without seeming to have a paywall, but if it's too easy, hardcore players will become disinterested. The game attempts to address this by assigning three objectives to each stage. These might require you to defeat all enemies in 1 turn, defeat bosses in a certain number of turns, or restrict which medals you may use to on attribute. So, allowing bad players to clear stages effortlessly while offering optional objectives accommodates everyone! Hooray! The game is designed, even at high levels, around players arranging their medals in the correct sequence before stages start instead of expecting them to think turn-by-turn. I find this to be a legitimate design decision for mobile (and console RPGs like Final Fantasy XII, for that matter). I hate it, but I respect it; it lets you take a laid-back approach to character management before battle and enjoy the results of your fine-tuned set-up.
Unfortunately, the game doesn't let you play effortlessly thanks to the lack of a true auto-battle. There's an auto setting that uses special abilities for you, of course, but it doesn't move you throughout the stage. You must navigate environments and encounter foes by laboriously sliding your finger across the screen—not with a virtual joystick, but across your entire screen.
There are mobile games that get away without auto-battle. For example, Fate Grand Order doesn't have basic attacks, and its skills are cooldown based or can expend variable amounts of meter for increased damage. A simple auto-battle routine couldn't easily tell whether you want to charge limit breaks, gain critical stars, burst down enemies, or activate unique character skills; the game is too complicated for it. Puzzle & Dragon wouldn't make sense with one in the same way an auto-play option wouldn't make sense for Bejeweled. But these two games are much more demanding, one for optimal order sequencing and the other with its puzzle board. You know, actively, traditionally-for-a-video-game engaging.
There's so little to this game's combat in the first place that I find it excruciating to manually navigate through its environments. They're expertly illustrated. Beautiful, even! But they work against the mindless, chill grind the battle system is meant to facilitate. The novelty of their beauty fades as you're forced to balance your phone in one hand and scrub dramatically across your entire widescreen phone to go from left to right and back again (how I wish it had a virtual joystick so I could play with one hand!). By the way, you have to touch and hold at the far edges of the screen to reach full speed. There’s an option to tap at a location, but the player character will vary its running speed depending on the distance away. It’s always a pain to perform movement, which doesn’t even factor into combat itself and often takes up more time than battle within a stage.
Tumblr media
Keep in mind you have to scrub through this entire map dozens of stages in a row to clear the most common objective (defeat all enemies in 1 turn) at this scale:
Tumblr media
If you're not used to playing mobile games, this might sound like a ridiculous complaint. But when the core combat is just an excuse to grind and make numbers go up, a shallow vessel to deliver the Good Chemical, it wears you down. Like, imagine if Cookie Clicker lacked store items that automatically produced cookies. KHUX is that kind of contradiction, a game designed to be passive that demands your attention in irritating, frequent pulses, an inconvenient hand cramp of a game.
There are more ways to play, extra mechanics, a baffling pet system... I won't go into everything the game has to offer, but know that they provide no depth to combat or medal management, merely complication. But I want to go over the main means of progression in the game: Guilt.
You level up medals to increase their power. You level up medals by fusing them together, losing all medals used to level the other. Their maximum level increases as their rarity increases. You can increases their rarity rank with materials you can grind for in daily objectives. I'll assume you understand how this kind of system works. Yet the game won't settle for this tried-and-true progression loop. It introduced the Guilt system.
So, every time you fuse identical medals together, the remaining one gets an orb (yes, it's just called an orb). The medals MUST be identical in both name and rarity. If the medal has any orbs, those are transferred to the base medal. If a 6* rarity medal (the rarest and most powerful rarity) gets all its orbs filled plus one, it rolls for a Guilt value. The Guilt value bestows a random percent bonus to damage up to 150%. Guilt value on the rarest of medals can range from 70% to 150%. What happens if you're unlucky and roll a 70%? Well, better go to the gashapon and pray for a copy! Even then, you might get a 71% and wasted a powerful medal. Good job!
The community encourages players to Guilt medals that drop freely through the story. This is the optimal sequencing of medal fusion to Guilt one of these medals:
Tumblr media
You need to, at minimum, 39 medals of the same name at different quantities for each rarity, AND all of the medals required to increase their rarity, AND all of the medals to level them up. If you don't do it in this exact sequence, you're wasting dozens of material medals and hours of time. It's absolutely absurd.
The game, of course, severely limits the amount of medals you can carry unless you pay with the premium currency. Even the joy of 10x gashapon rolls were tainted by the hidden tax of inventory expansion. Collecting medals should be fun. Collecting medals is what makes you want to spend money. Collecting and arranging medals is all the game is, really. And it's always accompanied with grueling, tedious inventory management that does nothing but stress me out!
I haven't even gotten to the power balance of medals. In short: it's whackadoodle. After making so much effort to Guilt my common 1* Stitch medals, I got lucky as a F2P player and rolled Illustrated Xion (EX). A single use of the medal buffs your damage with itself and all other medals by over 200% for multiple turns, refills more gauges than it takes to spend, and consequently breaks the majority of content over its knee. I never once, ONCE, in the entirety of the main story, had to manually choose which special abilities to activate to conserve gauge. And I had to manually move my character all the while, find an enemy, wait for the elaborate attack animations to cease, and start again. I stopped caring about clearing objectives; I was powerful enough to clear all of the story's content without bothering.
Other games use cost systems to prevent the abuse of rare medals at early player level, only allowing the use of one or two of the rarest kind of character or weapon. Due to a variety of factors involving the pace of progression, this did not factor in at all. Even without using all of my most powerful medals at once, Illustrated Xion (EX) was enough to utterly break what was meant to be a pacey, early-player experience. I ruined the game by getting a favorable gashapon roll. This is a fundamental failure in the design of randomized collectibles in a game I haven’t seen since the early days of mobile gaming. This has been solved for years.
Tumblr media
By the way: I only started playing to see where the story would go. The community has reached a consensus that the plot only begins to develop significantly after stage 350, months and months after release. I would say it actually picks up in the early 300s, but by the time I got to the good parts, I was too bored out of my gourd to continue despite being greatly intrigued.
The game has built its entire postgame around the use of medals like Illustrated Xion (EX) that make all previous game content trivial. Half a year after introducing the first medal of this type, Illustrated Kairi (EX), there is now a permanent budget gashapon that has a paltry chances to drop these buff medals as a way to allow the unluckiest of players access to postgame. But I'll tell you: the postgame isn't worth it. It's a skilless test of how lucky you are or how irresponsibly you spend money. And if you can access it, your medals are too strong to enjoy any other content. There are no objectives asking you to bringing low-rarity medals to otherwise increase challenge. There is a Proud Mode variant for many story stages, but these have such strict restrictions that I could barely clear any of them (the most common of which restricts special attack use to medals that have been Guilted AND have a Guilt value exceeding a certain amount, which isn't nearly as hard as it is expensive). Even verifiable trash like Fire Emblem clone Phantom of the Kill has objectives requiring low-rarity characters to provide some bracing challenges.
In conclusion, Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] fails to provide what I seek from a mobile game on a basic level: relaxation or engagement. It fails to relax me thanks to its hand-cramping map navigation and the oppressive inventory management. It fails to engage with its battle system because it's designed to be largely effortless and relaxing. It is a frustrating waste of time as a time waster.

So, a few months ago, during culinary class, my friend Brandon pointed me in the direction of this... thing...
(credit to Carlos Obregon for uploading this)
It’s a trailer for an un-aired American Gundam series called Doozy Bots.
Admittedly, I don’t know too much about the Gundam franchise. I’ve watched the original Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and heard great things about Iron Blooded Orphans, but that’s as far as my experience with the franchise goes as of now. I mean, it’s been around since the 70′s and it’s still going strong. But thanks to the Gundam Wiki, I managed to get some information about this series. From what I’ve gathered, this seems to be a heavily 90′s American attempt to create a robot series. It was based on SD Gundam and was an attempt to bring the series over to Western audiences. But enough about that, let’s check out the plot.
Matt (he’s the only name I could make out from the ass audio for what I assume would’ve been the theme song) and his friends go to the lab of a mad scientist named Professor Doozy. He has a monkey and a hot daughter/assistant. Matt is the captain of his school’s football team, the blonde girl’s a cheerleader and I assume his girlfriend (or at least love interest), the fat kid’s a hockey player, the surfer dude has no real personality to speak of (though to be fair, none of them really do) and the black guy is a cripple. Doozy, because he’s a fuck up, accidentally let some of his robots go ape-shit and so commissions these athletes/token cripple to go beat them up and stop them from robbing the world of fun. (No I did not make that up. Also, if this sounds like the plot of Mega Man 1, then I should point out that Doozy looks like Dr. Wily.) The misguided robots are led by this yellow robot (if you get mad at me for not using its proper model name, remember that I have little experience with Gundam and only wanted to talk about this because of how weird it was), who rides on the back of a giant turkey which supposedly lays eggs to create their army. To this end, they steal electricity from a power plant, but fortunately the Doozy Bots show up to stop them just in time (at least, that’s what I think Matt says, despite them clearly showing up several hours later). The Doozy Bots use all kinds of wacky weapons, including lassos, bubblegum shots, and tar bombs on the robots. After the battle, the black guy (who by the way is the only one without the ability to fly) scoops them all up in a giant gashapon shell and dumps them into a river. The scientist and shows up with a serum, before his hot daughter throws it without even considering what it does (along with the narrator calling the series “beautifully animated”, which gave me a nice chuckle), and as a result nearly kills one of the token dweeb sidekicks (one of whom is the black guy’s brother, who is literally named Tag-along). Needless to say, this series never saw the light of day ever again... which is a shame to be honest, because I’m genuinely curious to see where this series would’ve gone. Would we get some seriously awesome/stupid memes? What would this series’s Char archetype be like, if there would even be one? Did the voice actors get paid to do this?
These are questions I want answers to.
If you reblog this, I want you to write scripts/synopses for episodes for this series using all Gundam lore up to the early 90′s. Do me a favor and spread the word about this enigma. Shout it out from upon the rooftops! More people need to know about this! Please, I beg you! I do this not for attention, but to spread the will of Professor Doozy and his Spec Ops team known as the Doozy Bots! You owe it to yourself as a fan of Gundam to unlock the hidden secrets of this series! One cannot just simply allow an eclipse to pass them by, and the same must be said for this series!

Rider Gashat: Mighty Brothers XX
Tumblr media
Mighty Brothers XX Gashat (マイティブラザーズXXガシャット / Maiti Burazāzu Daburu Ekkusu Gashatto)
Tumblr media
The game Mighty Brothers XX is unique in that it is not based on a pre-existing game - it is an entirely new game created from Ex-Aid, based on a heroic duo he'd created as a child. As the name and artwork imply, it's meant to be a co-op version of Mighty Action X, with green and orange versions of the titular Mighty character.
Tumblr media
The Gashapon series of Rider Gashats released an exclusive version of Mighty Brothers XX, which are two separate Gashats. This is due to the fact that the regular Rider Gashats are broken into separate pieces to into Gashapon capsules, and things like Mighty Brothers XX are much too large to fit.
Tumblr media
There is also a Bugster duo manifested from the Gashat’s data, called the Bugster Brothers (バグスターブラザーズ / Bagusutā Burazāzu), which resemble Mario and Luigi from the Super Mario Bros video game series. These are exclusive to a stage show and are thus non-canon.
Tumblr media
The Gamer Driver displays a green and orange image of Double Action Gamer in Level X.
Tumblr media
When the Gamer Driver's cover is closed then reopened, it becomes an image of the two Double Action Gamer forms in Level XX.
Primary:
Japanese: レベルアップ!マイティ!ブラザーズ!2人で1人!マイティ!ブラザーズ!2人でビクトリーX!
Romaji: Reberu Appu! Maiti! Burazāzu! Futari de hitori! Maiti! Burazāzu! Futari de bikutorī X!
English: Level Up! Mighty Brothers, two people from one body! Mighty Brothers, a two-person victory... X!
Secondary:
Japanese: ダブルアップ!俺がお前で!お前が俺で!マイティ!マイティ!ブラザーズXX!
Romaji: Daburu Appu! Ore ga omae de! Omae ga ore de! Maiti! Maiti! Burazāzu XX!
English: Double Up! I am you, and you are me! Mighty-Mighty Brothers... XX!
Tumblr media
When Ex-Aid switches to Level XX, he splits into two Kamen Riders. While he retains his regular personality as the left green Ex-Aid, his prodigy gaming persona M resonates in the right orange Ex-Aid.
When the Gamer Driver's cover is closed then reopened while in Level XX, it triggers the Mighty Double Critical Strike. When inserted into a weapon capable of using two Gashats at once, it triggers the Mighty Brothers Critical Finish.

Gundam Video Games XBOX
Cellular Swimsuit Gundam Online is a massive battle game for over 100 online players set in the Gundam universe. Cellular Swimsuit Gundam Online 52vs52 PvP gameplay simply sneaking and suicide dashing towards other gamers with melee weapons. I've acquired hundreds extra hours of anime viewing behind me and extra perspective on the whole Gundam legacy, having seen the movies and OVA series throughout the original story's timeline. Whereas considerably comparable in construction to the unique Cellular Swimsuit Gundam, Z Gundam adds to the story by bringing back several characters from the unique series—and reveals them having to cope with the world that has come about as the result of their actions through the One Year Battle.Best Gundam Video Games ='display: block;margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;' src="https://i.pinimg.com/736x/c4/c3/15/c4c3156a9a2dfc8c60e664cd1884a805--gundam-movie-posters.jpg" width="654" alt="good gundam video games"/> Cellular Suit Gundam Wing isn't the first series in the legendary Gundam franchise, which has spanned numerous TV sequence, movies and mangas, nor is it the last, but for a lot of, it transcended what earlier Gundam exhibits had performed, and became the bar by which all future Gundam collection (if not all future anime collection) were measured. That summer of 1999, Mixx Entertainment would release one in every of their first manga facet stories to the Gundam universe titled Mobile Go well with Gundam Aspect Story: Blue Future Blue Destiny was a one volume challenge primarily based off the Sega Saturn games revolving around a check pilot and a brand new machine that has a will of its personal, which made a strong bond between the machine and the protagonist to be able to cease Zeon invasion against the Earth in the timeline of the original Gundam collection (it is kind of like Blue Comet SPT Layzner ). The manga is an adaptation of the first two games on the Sega Saturn, however the story for the manga was by no means finished. In your case, OP, I'd try the unique Mobile Swimsuit Gundam movies to start with, but in the event you aren't enjoying them, attempt one of many different series in the Common Century (main storyline) like 08th MS team, 0083 or 0080. Nonetheless beyond that and far more importantly it had a few of the most fascinating characters in an anime at the time from the amazingly relatable and all around good guy in Amuro Ray to the complex and compelling Char Aznable Cellular Suit Gundam will long be remembered as one of many best stories in the collection.
