she laughs, breathless. flirting? dying? ascending? who knows. all she knows is his glove is on her thigh and she’s never felt so seen — not for who she is, but for who she’s becoming.
“what’s your name, babybat?”
“shelley.”
“poet or sinner?”
“both.”
he grins, teeth sharp as mirrors, and leans in. he doesn’t kiss her — of course he doesn’t. he’s daemon fucking sanders. he just breathes her in like incense, then whispers:
“good. stay dangerous.”
and just like that, he’s gone. off to haunt someone else’s midnight.

It's been a long time coming but...the support system I have in my life helped me come to an important conclusion about myself.
I've been experimenting with being gender fluid. I really like the idea of being called she/her and he/him. I've also been socially experimenting with my name being changed to Ashe.
