ok so. In the Rocket Corp building, there is absolutely no coffee. In fact, there are no sources of caffeine within 200 meters of the Rocket Corp building. In the early weeks after The Incident, after coffee was removed from the building, a few new worker sticks might still bring in a cup. They weren't around long enough to have been there on... that day. If any brown liquid was detected, whoever saw it would delete it IMMEDIATELY, whether or not they were authorized to use the appropriate tools to do so. Whoever brought the coffee would either be warned by other, older employees not to do it again or caught by one of the higher cups and lose their job. Victim would personally punish anyone who dared let caffeine enter the company (the stronger the coffee, the more likely the poor stick was to be fired). However, this proved too inefficient and all cafes in the surrounding towns were quietly removed for small health violations not even the most detail-oriented lawyer would remember offhand until they were brought up in court. Caffeine was banned from all Rocket Corp institutions, but that wasn't what stopped the second coming of the incident. Agent, by some miracle, was what cancelled that apocalypse. Now, every stick employed by Rocket Corp has signed a contract at some point swearing off the consumption, handling, and/or possession of any form of caffeine. Victim will use any means necessary to stop another supplier from sneaking coffee into Rocket Corp and causing another Incident, as will the mercenaries.

Well, most of the mercenaries.

Unfortunately for the rest of Rocket Corp (and everyone, really), Ballista will never forgive Agent for prying that espresso from his hands, even if it was to prevent another Incident, even if the sheer amount of gratitude Vic showed Shady McSimps afterwards got his otp 5,000 steps closer to becoming canon, even if drinking that coffee would have made the world end (which it actually might have; Ballista and espresso is never a good combination).

He WILL obtain coffee again.

No matter how long it takes.

No matter the cost.

He WILL complete his goal.

And if that causes another Coffee Incident, so be it.

Since I'm the little old lady of the fandom, I'm going to put my two cents in and then go to bed.

Honestly, I'm not letting the picture thing bother me. The show is not exactly known for attention to details. (I mean Aaron became a P2 in like 6 months while Celina is apparently going to retire in long sleeves.) And I never would have even thought about the picture if someone hadn't pointed out there was one there. But if it bothers you, then that is completely valid and you have every right to be offended by it. It's a TV show. Everyone can enjoy it in whatever capacity they want.

As for the constant discourse over age in fandom...... who really needs to grow up? I'm a Gen X lady. I've been enjoying fandoms and flailing over blorbos and OTP's since I was 8 years old. And my generation didn't even invent fandom. Guess what? You owe that to Boomers! That's right kiddies. You owe the very concept of fangirling to a bunch of Boomer housewives who sat around their homes daydreaming about Spock and Kirk knocking boots. So simmer down with the whole "You're too old" schtick. I saw someone earlier being attacked for being 31! Seriously!? Get to be my age and you'll understand that a 31 year old is a baby! Your thirties are some of the best and most productive years of your life. That is until you get to your forties. Which are even better! Y'all need to stop buying into the cliche that life ends at 29. You would have to offer me Bezos levels of riches to get me to even think about re-living my twenties. And the good Lord willing, Congress doesn't ruin my retirement plans, guess what I plan on doing when I retire? Spending significant portions of my days watching TV, movies, reading books and generally being an obnoxious fangirl.

So the moral of this particular little rant, is let people enjoy what they enjoy. As long as they aren't hurting anyone else, it ain't none of your business. If it bothers you that bad that you just can't stand to read the opinion of someone who plans on getting the Shingles vax on her next birthday, then please, BLOCK ME! "Every Breath You Take" is stalkery in general but also such an inspired love song choice to improvise into immediately after talking about Pete, the more stalkery parts still read a bit obsessive/codependent but this is the guys who keep calling each other cryptophasic twin soulmates of ultimate destiny do not separate each other's full time problem, somehow "everything you do i'll be watching you, you belong to me" ranks thereabouts. And in the more charitable way of reading the "I'll be watching you"s, them coming after talking about how pete always wants to highlight him for tours and this time he got him performing solo (and his continued affront at pete shimmying offstage to leave him alone) comes as being aware of pete watching him perform and evolve. idk it being not entirely unproblematic makes it fit better as "love songs patrick would come up with when thinking about this guy that's displayed so much of that 5% of love he allows himself to show by being annoying <3 or clinging for dear life mid-concert"

Ohhhhh, this is so good because you are SO RIGHT. I've been wondering why, when Patrick sings it, I'm not like, "Wow, this song is so inappropriate," lol, and I was just like, Well, that's Patrick magic for you! but no, OF COURSE Patrick sings it like a total love song because his experience of love is this. lol

Like, I don't even think the original is meant to be a love song tbh, the person in the song is breaking their vows, etc., but Patrick just sings it in a way that feels so unmistakably a love song because yes, for half of his life now he's been watched so closely, and that's how he experiences love. What do we say, about the way Pete looks at Patrick? And what do we say about the way Patrick looks at Pete? This is a love song, in their own way.

It makes me think a little bit about Swan Song, in that the lead singer of Swan is always thinking about how his OTP counts his breaths during the performances to make sure he makes all his cues. Surely, Patrick feels Pete paying attention to him just as keenly on stage. And vice versa. And I always think about how, the first time I saw them live, before Saturday, I watched Pete nudge his mic stand down a little bit for Patrick's lesser height when he was going to have to use it in a second, and that little moment killed me. I'm sure he does it automatically at this point, but still, such awareness and such care. The way they always seem to know exactly where the other one is on the stage. Etc.

I personally DO NOT see the Protags as self inserts. I think they all have their own personalities. So I don’t really have any self insert ships were I ship them just because I want to date a character, but I do understand some people have those.

Akira and Goro are a massive call back to Tatsuya and Jun from Persona 2, and Tatsuya and Jun are written with the intent to be romantic. Though I think after the third semester I usually don’t have to explain why I feel like Akira and Goro is an obvious Ship, it’s one of those you can totally have a different preference but you understand what I'm getting at right?

I reeeally hope I don’t have to explain that Futaba and Akira are in sibling dynamic so Shipping them would be gross.

Kasumi’s infatuation with Akira makes ZERO SENSE. The only people who see through your delinquent deguise is Goro (because soulmates narrative foil) and Ryuji (who doesn’t see through he’s just a good boy who trusts everyone), so Kasumi seeing through it makes NO SENSE. If she were to follow anyone around saying “Senpei” I think it would be Makoto.

Rise’s feral one sided thirsty crush on Souji is very funny to me (and I love playing it for comedy) but I don’t think he would ever reciprocate it. Her love just feels a bit too superficial, and Souji has too many issues of not being seen for himself for me to like it as a Ship.

I do think Yukari had a crush on Minato and I think Minato would be willing to try dating her, but I feel their love languages would be too different and it would end in disaster. Minato seems like the little actions and subtle comfort where Yukari seems like she would want big romantic gestures (something Mitsuru would do for her).

I will say with all Persona Romance Routes I am very much not a Fan of the Pandering that is “Girl likes you for no real reason” (it’s honestly just a boring Romance to me) and would’ve liked if more of the Girls just weren’t Romanceable so we could just have more Male/Female Friendships. I feel (aside from the stand out VERY BAD ones) a lot of the Romance Routes aren’t that bad, just don’t mesh well with the Tone and Tension of the rest of the Game (they’re kind Mundane and Boring in comparison to the Relationships I ACTUALLY Ship). But my Opinion on Persona Romance Routes as a whole would be a completely different discussion than Ships.

Update cause I forgot:

It’s necessary to say this so I don’t get Canceled; Hamuko and Minato are Canonically Two Halves of the Same Soul, some people choose to see that as Siblings and some people choose to see that as Soulmates. I used to prefer Siblings but now I prefer Soulmates. Either is fine but don’t mix em is all.

When I say Kasumi I usually actually mean Sumire. Sorry it’s partly cause it’s a Spoiler and partly cause I never got in the Habit of calling her by her Real Name. So unless Specific Context assume when I say Kasumi I mean Sumire. I just don’t feel like going back and changing it everywhere I’ve said it.

In both P1 and P2 even if there are quite a few changes between the versions. It's just... It rings very true, at least to my experience. (And do not even get me started on the uglier side of it we see in Pathologic 2 that is *chef's kiss*)

My ultimate otp is Duke Nukem x Postal Dude!! PostalDuke!! but my other favorite ships are p2 x p3 dudes, p4 and p1 (though I havent been thinking of them that much lol) and gordon freeman and postal dude is a interesting ship for me as well, started lowkey shipping it after I saw a fanfic of scourge fan (v0idv0re) :DD and of course mee!! :333 did I ever mention im dude's wife B)

as for a dlc, hmmm Im not quite sure to be honest! but it would be awesome to have something like an other dude situation again like in braindamaged (better yet if it explicitly shows connection with postal 1 or even better, POSTAL 1 DUDE APPEARS WITH A VOICE AND EVERYTHING!!) but really I would want it to be like paradise lost, lots of cool new weapons, epic music by a fall to break,a story that features dude maybe in some place other than edensin maybe? like he finds something on the road and hyjinks ensue, and I would a story like how paradise lost played out as well, perhaps somehing video game related too? like a mission

really I want original stuff that doesnt need much of stuff from postal 2 to be good, with humour refreshing like postal brain damaged's is, with more violence and more crude stuff, like some people said it seems it kinda died down a bit and I want it to come full force

Currently playing Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.

There is no third semester in Persona 5. Which just means I have yet to finish P5R because I'm too lazy to play the vanilla segment all over again.

I played P3P (both MC and FeMC routes), P4G, and vanilla P5. My favorite and first game is P5 but I will cry over P3 at the drop of a hat. P4 is my least fave and no, I did not forget and will play SMT:P, P2:IS, and P2:EP soon.
