The ATLA/Emma crossover sounds super interesting!!

This is a fairly recent plot bunny. I originally started thinking about it when @janeuary-month put out a call for ATLA/Austen AUs. (Thanks to @orangepanic for bringing it to my attention-- sadly, I wasn't able to get anything together in time for this event, but maybe I'll have my act together by next year?)

Obviously, if I'm going to be writing an AU like that, I have to use Toko (my ATLA OTP) and Emma, my favorite Austen novel. The question was who to cast in what role. Much as I love them, I just couldn't see either Zuko or Toph as Emma or Knightley, and I couldn't see Zuko as Frank or Toph as Jane... but Toph as Frank and Zuko as Jane? *chef's kiss*

This whole concept still needs some more work and worldbuilding before I can actually make it work as a coherent story (how does the avatar system work?), but here are some loose ideas:

Toph and Zuko are secretly engaged but they're hiding it because Zuko and Iroh are refugees from the Fire Nation and her parents would not approve.

Aang and Suki are cousins who were raised together like siblings.

Toph comes to town to teach Aang earthbending (her parents are optimistic that this arrangement might lead to a betrothal).

Toph actually wasn't all that interested in coming to teach the Avatar but then she remembered Zuko lives nearby.

Aang and Toph play at flirting but they both know it's not serious.

Aang likes to try to set up his friends because he just wants everyone to be happy but then he starts worrying that Katara has a crush on Zuko and why should that matter to him except that it does and-

“C’mon Haru! Don’t pout!”

Sakura sputters, a familiar red creeping on his face.

“Not pouting!”

While your lovely boyfriend is “not” pouting, he follows you through the streets of the shopping district, as you search for a gift for your friend’s birthday.

He yawns, but makes sure to keep an eye on you so he doesn’t lose you somehow, knowing your habit of wandering off. If you both got separated, it would’ve been more bothersome for him after all.

He was planning on spending the day off from school at home, but you had other plans and showed up at his door bright and early and practically dragged him out.

At the thought, he can’t help but scowl a little at how easily you bossed him around in his own home. The treatment from his friends is one thing, but from you too? 

He knows you all mean well, not really meaning it when he yells at the guy in his class or you to get out, not truly anyways, but he keeps his endearment to himself. He can already see how you’d all tease him for it.

You look back again at Sakura and smile, seeing his scowl as he gets lost in thought. He’s so cute.

You slowed your pace and without warning planted a soft kiss on his cheek.

He just about falls over, nearly tripping over his own feet, spluttering again. Your smile is still there, a little more amused if anything, but also soft. 

“Thank you for coming with me today Haruka”

He looks away, red still tinted on his cheeks as he mumbles, “...s’ nothing.”

You hum, pleased, and continue to match your pace with his, walking next to him now as you look around at all the stalls and stores out and about.

He takes a peek at you when you’re not looking and his gaze falls towards your free hand, feeling his own twitch. Sakura feels his cheeks get hot again and he quickly looks away.

You’re always so patient and gentle with him when it comes to your relationship, and it makes his eyes prick with tears more often than not. 

It pisses him off that he has a hard time doing practically anything when it comes to any displays of affection, public or otherwise because you just seem so…unbothered about it, just being too understanding. 

You’ve reassured him that you don’t mind that he’s not so openly affectionate, but you have to be a little disappointed in him right?

He can swing his fists and backflip into kicks no problem, but holding hands? With you? The thought alone makes his heart pound and hands sweat. But…it’s not like he doesn’t want to. That’s what makes him so nervous. What if he does something wrong? What if you don’t want to hold his hand after all?

Before he could dwell much more about it, all of a sudden, a huge wave of people just started to walk past you both from both directions.

He hears you yelp and his head snaps back, seeing you struggle with the crowd.

You lock eyes with him and you can’t help but call out for him, slight panic in your voice.

“H-Haru!”

He tries to get to you, ignoring all the people bumping into him, all his focus on getting to you.

He reaches out for you, struggling a little bit as someone knocks into him again.

“Oi!”

He manages to take a hold of your hand and tugs you forward as he makes a path through the crowd, looking back every so often to make sure you’re okay.

Staring at the back of his head, then to your linked hands, you can’t help the light pink flush that dusts across your cheeks, keeping quiet as he maneuvers you both through the sudden wave of people.

Eventually, he leads you both to a quieter part of the street, grumbling about the sudden onslaught of people and how they were bumping into you.

You stay silent as he complains, realizing that Sakura himself probably hasn’t realized your linked hands, much less how he was the one to initiate, even if it was to rescue you from the crowd.

As a little experiment, you squeeze his hand and you nearly trip when he suddenly stops, and you watch as his face becomes as red as one of Umemiya’s tomatoes. Sakura suddenly lets go of your hand, stammering as you stare.

“T-That was nothin! I-It was just because of that stupid crowd! I didn’t mean to grab onto your stupid hand I–WAIT don’t get the wrong idea I was just—!”

Sakura’s breath hitches as you start to laugh, clearly finding the whole thing funny, and Sakura starts to yell, more embarrassed than anything.

“Stop laughing at me! It’s not funny you–!”

You beam at him, eyes shimmering with mirth.

“Aw, does Sakura Haruka, Furin class 1-1 grade captain want to hold my hand? You’re so cute Haru, of course you can hold my hand!”

He practically stomps away, having enough of your teasing and you laugh again, catching up to him, your grin widening when he grumbles and takes your hand in his without another word. 

Your grin softens into a gentle smile as the two of you walk in peace, and in your head, your original mission of the day gets pushed back for the meantime, intending on savoring as much time as possible holding your fickle, but kind boyfriend’s hand.

You gently swing your joined hands, the moment serene and peaceful as the sun shines bright above and the cool breeze causing the wind chimes to gently tinkle, the sound accompanying the bustle of people all around you both.

Sakura lets out a soft breath, feeling the familiar pang of warmth he feels in his heart that only happens when he’s with you.

But you just have to ruin the moment because in clear disregard for your life (not that he would ever hurt you), you poke fun at him one last time.

“...Your hand is getting sweaty, Haru. Are you nervous?”

“Shaddup!”

Do you ever think the flaw of Lukanette is that the couple is too good to be true?

Because it's interesting that the only thing keeping them from being together and break them apart in canon had been Marinette's secret instead of her crush.

Which, for a show that hinges on the main duo's romance shenanigans, isn't a good way to sell their main couple if the side couple is too compatible 😂

Think the writers kinda didn't gaf about Lukanette or Luka in general on god

Always felt like he was an after thought

We didn't even get a fundamental reason why they wouldn't work out like we did with Adrigami

So her getting with Adrien feels like a retcon of their whole break up episode, something else I really disliked about season 5

I think it's factually correct to say Kagami got wayyyy more character development and screentime with the main characters than Luka did

Man they were so cute he was so compatible with Mari bc his chill personality totally balanced Mari's chaotic energy. He's very clearly a source of comfort for her before, during, and after their relationship.

But Marinette's affect on Luka too,,,, Luka deciding to give up on convincing Bob Roth to credit their stolen art, only for Marinette to shock him by turning right back around to give him even more hell for his misdeeds??? Feels like both got something out of their relationship,,, or at least could've,,,,if they'd been explored a lil more,,,,

Am I saying they were perfect? Fuck no the writers made sure their OTP always got hammered into their relationship to stop it dead in its tracks somehow no matter how unnatural it was

But their foundation was so natural and strong and beautiful,,,the way they were both implied to be crushing but their big episode together wasn't even surrounding that,,,,just them hanging out,,,then getting angry their friend was being ripped off,,,,,friends before anything else,,,,,ugh,,,,

idk i think the "he's too perfect for her" reason for not choosing one love interest over another is nonsense...idk if that was what they were trying to say but if so I disagree like why wouldn't you choose someone you literally acknowledge as the better option (Not saying this about Adrien, just about this trope in general)?

etoile season 1 thoughts (spoilers!)--

this was so much fun and i really enjoyed it! the sort of meandering, the-hilarity-of-everyday-life-stress vibe combined with beautiful dance sequences was just what my soul was craving. it brought back fond memories of slings & arrows, and not just because luke kirby is there playing someone named jack!

really enjoyed luke kirby's jack. he plays Very Stressed Out All The Time in a really delightful register. may he make it to 46.

cheyenne, my beloved!!! her improbable love of the nutcracker; her seafaring righteous rage; her taking susu under her wing; how much it hurt her to be accused of having no room for people in her heart. she is everything.

genevieve is my other everything!!! <3 i love how she kind of just flops around like a glamorous muppet, trying to keep it together. (i also really enjoyed the chaos of her visiting her sister's house.)

i guess my thought on this love triangle or somewhat love triangle-y thing we've been presented with is: i can see jack and genevieve as happily married people, whereas i can see jack and cheyenne having a tortured, perhaps-unsustainable, exhilarating romance of creative soulmates. i lean toward a happy marrieds energy myself, but i'll try to respect the latter despite my personal preferences because who am i to tell the show what its main otp is? i just always lean boring because it's who i am! (re: jack and genevieve, i also liked seeing a will-they-won't-they m/f couple where both people are in their forties. we never get that! tedbecca scars still fresh! i thought it was really sweet when he sent her the four heart emojis in a time of emotional peril. ❤️❤️❤️❤️)

mishi and cheyenne's mom, god, what a totally joyous plot! a stressed out teenage girl with perfectionism foisted upon her bonding with and becoming inspired by an eccentric dgaf old lady is just the storyline of my dreams. i loved every second. they are THE new iconic roomies!

i liked how we got a lot of intergenerational friendship in this show: the above plot, plus cheyenne and susu, and jack and nicholas. (gosh, the scene where nicholas wasn't dead in the last episode! the feelings!! those two guys had a lot of really sweet lovely scenes together, and i love the open affection between them.) it's nice!

nicholas, a bombastic joy! (he has had my heart since killing eve, rip bill.) crispin shamblee, a problematic joy! i especially loved when he showed up at jack's birthday party having recently been Taken, with his snoopy bandaid and his fresh memories of s3 of charmed. lol!

i loved the tobias and gabin romance! canon gays who aren't rory and paris kissing in an asp show at last?!?! (and what a totally joyful first kiss scenario!) tobias would be A Lot IRL, but gosh, he's great as someone who lives in my tv. so endearing to me.

KELLY BISHOP HELLO AGAIN!!!!!! my heart soared whenever i saw her. especially the scene where she read the nutcracker to the little ballerinas.

i also loved getting to see susie myerson's ex love again as the conductor who's jack's sister. she has a great presence onscreen.

i'm sad that gael hurt cheyenne's feelings but also he was pretty dreamy and i'm not unintrigued by his romance with aforementioned jack's sister!!

cheyenne and her mom were also absolutely hilarious together. like mother, like daughter, truly.

i know yanic truesdale didn't have a ton of substantial material here, but man, was he delightful. loved him and loved his work bestie chemistry with genevieve. they were such a fun unit.

that one blonde lady with the glasses who's in all the business scenes (marie?) is soooo gerri kellman-core and i love her for that. <3 i love you, blonde lady with the glasses.

SEASON TWO WHEN?

Time for something literally nobody asked for — My favorite MLM ships in Ace Attorney (in no particular order) and my personal thoughts/headcanon about them and their dynamics. Yes I know these are very popular ships. I think there’s very good reason for that though because they’re all adorable. At least to me. These opinions are all my own and you’re welcome to disagree, of course! I am trash and I will not deny this. I spent way too much time thinking about this shit and writing it all out.

Phoenix Wright x Miles Edgeworth (Narumitsu/Wrightworth)

It’s easy to understand why this pairing is so extremely popular. Their love for each other runs deep and powerful, with many of their independent life decisions being influenced by the other. They pull off LOTS of grand gestures to show each other that they’re “endgame”, some of these being very dramatic (i.e. becoming a lawyer just to save someone from himself, flying across the world at the drop of a hat because one is laid up in the hospital with the sniffles), but whenever they’re together, they bicker and taunt each other like an old married couple, because they both have too much pride to admit when they’re wrong. Despite all of these over the top displays of affection, my HC (and many others’, if all the fics and fanmade comics have anything to show for it lol) is that they do break up for a while, but through it all, they never stop thinking of each other and of course they stay in touch. So very 🏳️‍🌈 indeed. Once they’re older and wiser, they make amends and decide they’re in it for the long haul, no matter the distance between them. They no longer make any attempt at hiding this and still battle it out in court on a regular basis (conflict of interest much?) while everyone else in attendance can’t help but notice how close they are (Nick calls Edgey “Daddy” in front of an entire courtroom, ffs). Through all the dramatic exposition and the slow burn, at the end of the day, they end up as most see them now in their 30s - a couple of lame, stubborn dads trying to raise some exceptional kids.

Apollo Justice x Klavier Gavin (Klapollo)

My absolute favorite, my OTP. Their relationship is cute, flirty and sweet like a couple of high schoolers. One tries to be very subtle about his affection and the other has never done anything subtle in his entire life. It’d be like if the hot, popular guy in school had a crush on the total fucking nerd who’s always blurting out answers in class, but said nerd is completely oblivious to his attempts at flirting and teasing him. So the hot guy writes a song about him and belts it out at the school talent show and the nerd is still like “that can’t be about me, right?” even though his name is the title of the freaking song. He’s in denial that someone like him could be the object of pining for a guy who could have anyone he wants, and is even mean to him because he feels threatened, like a stray cat cornered in an alley. Polly can “perceive” anything except for the fact that the sparkling rockstar across the courtroom has the hots for him, even though it’s totally obvious to everyone else, and that’s what makes them so cute. He’s denser than a rock and thinks he’s just being picked on while KG is twirling his hair and blushing every time they talk. When they do finally start dating, everyone around them breathes a collective sigh of relief because they were tired of watching their awkward attempts at expressing their feelings. Just kiss it out, losers!!! After some time, they love each other so much that it’s stupid and become very protective and supportive of one another. Corny in all the best ways.

Beanix x Kristoph Gavin (Krisnix)

A relationship of psychological abuse, manipulation, lies, chaos, misery and lots of kinky shit. After losing his law license due to the actions of Kristoph himself (OVER SOMETHING PETTY AS FUCK BECAUSE HE’S JUST AN EVIL BASTARD), our man Phoenix, who suspected him pretty early on, goes on a seven year bender of “grape juice”, gambling and hooking up with this guy. He needed a sugar daddy to help pay the bills, and Kris needed a plaything, and as such, their intentions are impure from the very beginning. They’re a couple of little freaks with insatiable lust and a death wish who are constantly betraying trust and going out of their way to fuck up each other’s day. The true definition of “sleeping with the enemy”, their situationship unravels in court right in front of everyone due to the scheming of both parties to try to expose the other. Truly a marvel and a work of art. 10/10.

Miles Edgeworth x Shi Long Lang (Langworth)

Whether it stems from a need to fill a void left by his ex or simply because he’s (almost) never felt such respect and admiration for the tenacity and commanding presence of another man, poor Edgey falls head over heels for the werewolf guy. There is an undeniable and dangerous chemistry between these two, mostly born of longing, but Lang prides his status as a “lone wolf” and has no interest in a relationship. These two are FWB (Furries With Benefits) for a while which Miles isn’t satisfied with, and he can’t help thinking of the powerful romance between him and his former lover (“that man”) that he just isn’t getting out of whatever this is. He breaks things off, but this hurts Lang, who coincidentally has just started to develop strong feelings for him and has grown envious of Phoenix. They remain friends, and ol’ Nick is jealous of this himself. Star crossed lovers who simply weren’t meant to be. They’re good for each other and bad for each other at the same time, and that’s what makes them fun.

Ryunosuke Naruhodo x Kazuma Asogi (Asoryuu)

There has never been a MLM ship in Ace Attorney history that could be considered canon more than these two (imo). You can see it in every interaction they have with each other. The way they LOOK at each other. The things they say and how they say them. There is so much sexual tension loaded into every moment they share together and poor Susato has no idea how to handle any of it because she loves them both SO much (it’s a classic “my best friend is banging my brother” caper!). And it’s there from the very beginning. First there’s the story of how they met. Then some of the things that Kazuma said to Ryunosuke during the first trial that made me nearly spit out my drink. All of the events that follow… stowing away on the ship, Runo doing things he never would’ve dreamed of because he so badly wanted to avenge his “partner”s “death”, and then their reunion where they both just stared each other down with hunger in their eyes. Even the trial where they were supposed to be facing off against each other as rivals, it felt like they were struggling to actually disagree with each other and I found myself thinking “oh my god, just make out already!” The funniest thing about these two is that, at least in my mind, Ryunosuke’s love is a lot more pure and innocent. He wants to hold Kazuma’s hand and kiss him sweetly under the moonlight. Kazuma wants Ryunosuke carnally. He wants to grab him by his collar and ravage his bones until they’re both struggling to breathe. Oh, the writers knew EXACTLY what they were doing with this one.

Herlock Sholmes x Yujin Mikotoba (Homumiko)

Okay, hear me out. Never thought I’d be saying “hear me out” on a post about ships but?? Whatever?? These two have such a beautiful bond together and we don’t get to see nearly enough of it. And when we do finally get to see them interact, a lot of the dialogue between them in-game is … questionable at best. I raised my eyebrows on more than one occasion. Seriously, the writers of TGAA gave us some of the best shit to work with over here. Anyway, they complement each other very well in every aspect, they never stop thinking about each other when they’re apart and they’re just plain goofy and silly. They were both single when they met and still are, so it’s not entirely implausible that they never stopped loving each other from a distance, and they already function as a family unit with Susato, Ryunosuke and Iris. If I could have any gay dads in the world I’d probably pick these two. Just saying. I love this ship and I would love to see more of it. I felt genuine sadness emanating from them when they had to go their separate ways again. It feels wrong to split them up. Plus, you know, there’s uh, this, so…

I saw you like Jaime Lannister! Si you like Jaime x Brienne as a ship?

Obviously. I mean, how could I not like them? They have everything for me to like them! If we’re talking about an egocentric, diva-like prince with deep depression and shattered self-esteem like Jaime Lannister, who embodies cynicism and has lost all faith in the world, and Brienne, who, despite all the crap she’s endured, still believes quite naively and idealistically in honor and the figure of the knight? If they both have completely opposite personalities that perfectly complement each other, filling in the gaps and helping each other grow as people? If, thanks to Brienne’s blind idealism, Jaime begins to believe that maybe the world isn’t so rotten, and perhaps things are bad because no one tries to make them right? While Brienne, thanks to Jaime, reinforces her conviction to follow the life she’s chosen and learns to open her mind and be less categorical and judgmental? If he’s the most handsome guy in all of Westeros, and she’s supposedly horrible and considered unattractive by everyone? They are everything that’s right in a ship!

Even on a purely platonic level, their relationship is wonderful. They function as a team, supporting each other discreetly, never admitting their affection, but constantly betting on one another—I adore them. Few ships have captivated me as much as this one; it’s not just that I like them—they are the OTP. They’re the OTP because, besides having the dynamic (featuring a bunch of tropes I usually love), they genuinely make each other better. Jaime doesn’t become likable to the reader until he meets Brienne, and it’s through Brienne and her POV that Martin is telling us that, okay, Jaime is a jerk, but we can love him. They’re wonderful, truly.

But I’m talking about Jaime and Brienne from the books—what they did to them in the show is a sacrilege, and HBO’s studios should be burned down for it.

a/n: i cry over them. my otp. they have the cutest dynamic ever like genuinely it drives me insane!!

— adam can read him very easily. he knows loki can be a good person, but he feels he has to play this certain role. so they have a very close bond where loki can truly be himself with adam, with a bit of opening up of course.

— they are both very gentle lovers!! i imagine loki getting flustered at adam’s soft kisses on his neck, or his hands.

— loki is a bit more of a tease. he loves adam’s waist, chest, really his body overall, and isn’t afraid to get handsy. not in a sexual way even (though partially, it is) but in a way that he just wants to be so close to him.

— adam is a gentleman.. when he loves someone, it’s no secret, but he finds it tacky to show an overt display about it in public, so his affection mostly comes in private. which loki wouldn’t mind, he finds it more special.

— you’d think loki would be the more possessive one, but it’s actually adam (not to say loki isn’t). adam hasn’t really had someone he could call his own, no one prominent enough to say the least. hes always felt like an afterthought, to his friends.. and he’s always been a bit dismissive of love, so it hits him much harder when it happens.

— he’s been too busy, or just not there. whenever he’s not needed, he just stays in his cocoon state, which hasn’t gone the best for his love life.

— regardless, adam is very smart and self aware. he knows himself, and he knows that his feelings for loki go beyond physical attraction. he was quite upfront about his intentions, which surprised loki—! pleasantly, at least.

— the ‘perfect human’, into him? it boosted his ego for sure.

— he did push him away at first, out of fear, but they worked it out. mostly because adam was more than willing to wait, he’s been waiting for these feelings his whole life. and loki, despite his attitude of, “oh well, why not?” appreciated his persistence. it made him feel truly safe and wanted.

— adam’s love is soft, kind.. the way he touches loki so gently, as if he’s a beating heart.. and despite how long loki has lived, he hasn’t felt that until now. he didn’t know he craved such a thing until he got it. and if he wants to keep feeling this way, he’ll just have to open up to adam.

The fact that people still get Arya and Gendry's characters wrong to this day gets my blood boiling. I literally saw someone on Reddit say Gendry wouldn't have let Arya be herself?! And it got so many upvotes??? Like what the fuck??!! That person said she also wouldn’t be happy with Gendry and someone responded they wouldn't actually be equals because that's too "unrealistic" and "happy." Um hello? There are multiple women in the GOT universe shown ruling and being independent in spite of societal norms.

I'm getting mad over the final season all over again. I need to calm down. Other (wrong) people might thing Arya is a loner or a nomad or a pirate or an emotionless assassin who doesn't care about anyone, but really, all that is is trauma. Like she started her list and quest for revenge due to the trauma of loosing her family and all that death and violence.

She just needs to heal first. I was mad at the time, but I think a year at sea will be good for her. Give her time to self-reflect. To unpack all her trauma and everything she's done. I have a sinking feeling my girl thinks she isn't worthy of love anymore and that her family and Gendry will think she's a monster. We know that's not true. But does she?

She's not gonna roam the seas forever. She'll go back to her family eventually. And when she does, I think her journey would only last a year, I think she'll reunite with Gendry and settle down with him. She'll be like Lyanna Mormont. Untraditonal. Honest. Independent. Fighter. She can still ride horses and do all things she loves and still want to get married to him eventually and have kids.

I dont see why it has to be one or the other? Lyanna's mom, Maege Mormont, did that. Why can't Arya? That's what pisses me off, that people think just because you're a tomboy doesn't mean you dont want love or romance. And I don't entirely blame these people since the show is bad at portraying different types of women and how, yes, even a tomboy can want those things. It also didn't help that Arya was almost emotionless in seasons 7 and 8.

Anyway, how the fuck can they think that about my boy Gendry?!?!? Justice for him. This post I'm ranting about was from a year ago, but I can't help but be pissed off. He was drunk!!! He got his own last name wrong!!! He didn't know what he was saying!!! The only ladies he met at that point were Arya, Brienne, Sansa, Lyanna Mormont, and Daenerys. All who are independent, strong, respected, intelligent, and who don't dare have a man tell them who to be.

Of course he got confused!!! He already has a complex growing up as a lowborn blacksmith. So, of course, he'll get confused and think "oh Arya can be this type of lady, I've never met one before, but they seem fine. Not like a snob at all. Now Arya and I can be family and I can be worthy of her!"

Also, Maisie and Joe ship Gendrya and Maisie said in an interview she'd like Arya to be at peace with a hunk and all she needs to be convinced to do a sequel show is to have zips instead of laces and Joe said Gendry would die of a broken heart so suck it. Joe also said, "at least now not capable of that love," or something to that affect.

That person is wrong, and I'm mad at D and D all over again for ruining my one OTP who actually had a chance at being canon. So thanks, guys. Anyway, those interviews are on my blog somewhere. I reblogged them from someone if anyone who actually bothered or cared to look at this wants to find them or ask me to find them.

I know I will be sounding very stupid here and as much as I love being a delulu fan but I know how the bl industry works and as for a fact the entire entertainment Business for that matter, it's about engagement and fan services, I saw almost all the couples of gmmtv put stories about their dates and how they celebrated their valantine with each other but then realistically speaking I know for a fact most of it was fan service coz no way each cp in a company is dating each other so what's your take on this whole thing, also I'm not saying they are faking it or something like if some of them are dating then that's really good but all of them it's hard to believe

Also I'm a firstkhao fan and well as much as I wanted them to post something just to feed my delulu but then they didn't and that's so them and how many chances do you think of them dating two different people is true as I saw on fan speaking about it and I know it was for fun but then why not it's their Life after all and we are just fans who live them together

So, I’m not going to say I know much about how CPs and the entertainment business work.

However, I think you are right in saying that most official CPs (and even some who are not - like Kapook and Ciize!! 😉) put up some sort of photoshoots or coupl-y type of activities (either going for dinner/sunset dates or making reels of giving each other beautiful bouquet of flower etc.) are doing a level of fanservice - be it for the fans to squeal over, promoting their upcoming series or to attract engagement to better their work prospects.

But I also feel most of these CPs are genuine friends in real-life and for them, doing these sorts of activities are fun for them. After all, you get to hang out with a close friend whom you cherish, even if you have to put up a photo (or 2) +/- video reels on your social media as an “obligatory post.”

What I do feel somehow sad for the CPs are when fans (+ media outlets) keep asking insistently “what are your plans with so and so?” - I’m pretty sure JoongDunk got asked multiple times these questions leading up to Valentine’s Day. And then asked again during their recent work event on 14/02/25 - what their Valentine’s dinner plan is? What gifts did the boys buy each other? How do you guys show each other your love? (Or something to that effect) - cause I saw Dunk (to his credit he was very professional), answering that Joong’s way to show love is by physical affection while he showed his by cooking/baking with Joong always the first one to taste his food.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but my personal opinion - if the CPs want to tell us, they can do so without anyone else badgering them about it through their social media posts at their own time and choosing.

As for FirstKhaotung (they are also my OTP 😂anon!!!)…I admit I was puzzled when the fans are disappointed about the lack of “Valentine updates” from them.

Firstly, both boys wished the fans “Happy Valentine’s Day” on Twitter (even if First was trolling us with a picture of P’Tha in the middle of him and Khaotung 🤣)

Secondly, both boys posted IG updates of them wishing the other Valentine’s Day with song choices that I could only interpret as love confession to each other… 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Thirdly, are we all that surprised the boys don’t put up videos/pictures of them giving each other flowers/chocolates? (Or doing couple photoshoots?) - I get the feeling they are just happily nesting in Khaotung’s brand new house with 3 fur babies around them while playing video games after perhaps brunch/lunch + shopping together (cause let’s be honest, that will be their version of a perfect Valentine’s Day).

So , Iike you anon - I am not surprised by the minimal Valentine posts/photos from them (in fact, I was pleasantly shocked the IG posts from them happened at all - which led me into more delulu land hahah)

As for them actually dating another person 🤷🏽‍♀️…who knows. If/when it happens, I’ll cheer them on. However, all I know is that whoever is dating First/Khaotung, will actually be dating them as a set rather than one person 😂. My head canon is that F/K going on a date with someone, and the bestie who is NOT on that date will just tag along anyway 🤸 …

FAVORITE THING ABOUT THEM

Probably how reliable he is in general. I feel like he’s probably the voice that is the most loyal to Quiet alongside Hero. He just really doesn’t seem like the type of character to have any hidden agenda underneath his actions. He’s just, when he thinks of something, he’d just do it instinctively. I love how he just focuses on the now and what’s happening around him, and doesn’t rely on what he sees only. He’s a really simple guy and all he really wants is safety. And I really like that about him. (The contrast between him and Oppy is glaring here)

And also despite the fact that instinct is a big part that makes him “him”, he’s not completely feral and still holds that humanity inside of him. I think he’s pretty darn neat.

Gotta say Hunted and Witch. Hunted pairs well with many other voices and vessels, but the thought of two semi-feral characters interacting with each other is kind of adorable to me. Just. Similar brain wave signals. Vrrrrrrrr. Y’know.

Witch would just sniff Hunted and be like “hmmm he doesn’t smell like a liar to me” and she would just be chilling with him with half an eye closed and half of it open. Just in case. And Hunted just sees her as someone who’s gotten hurt. And had to fight back like a scared animal. So I think he would empathise with her. Idk.

Stubborn and Hunted is a good one too. I could imagine Stubborn and Hunted just sparring with each other whenever they could. The battle always ends in a stalemate though, since Hunted just dodges Stubborn’s attacks most of the time. And by the time Hunted is tired dodging Stubborn is tired as well. But knowing Stubborn he would try to throw a punch at him anyway. And then failing cause they have bodies now. Stubborn takes it as a challenge and is thrilled to see what other stuff Hunted could do. Unstoppable force vs Immovable object.

And the mental thought of Stubborn throwing Hunted like a Pokeball and be like “Hunted I choose you” is just so funny to me. And. Just. Hunted riding on Stubborn’s shoulder. So cute.

RANDOM HEADCANON

He would sometimes bite the other voices to show affection. If he is feeling really bite-y that day he would just find something to chew on just so he won’t accidentally hurt the others.

Also, the current smaller form you see of him is not his full form. That’s just him holding back his more feral side, and hence why he looks so tiny. He’s way taller and stronger than he looks.

A more antsy head canon I’ve got for him is that a part of him always have this urge to consume the other voices since they are technically parts of the same guy. He feels really guilty about feeling this way. When that feeling is too strong he would lock himself away from the flock until it passes.

UNPOPULAR OPINION

(This is becoming less of an unpopular opinion and more of a ramble as I’m writing this, but I’m just gonna keep this here because I think this is pretty interesting)

I feel like he would take an integral role in helping the other voices in fighting against their nature, since he is so used to doing that himself. Many of the fics I’ve read where the voices are starting to become more complex and more than their nature often doesn’t mention Hunted at all. He would definitely take a role in helping the voices manage their own urges in a way that doesn’t hurt anyone, knowing how he empathises with Den despite everything she has done to them.

He shines the most when he is paired with Oppy regarding this. Oppy embraces his own nature, and often times to his own detriment. Hunted wouldn’t trust him, but he would still protect and look after him anyway since he is still a part of the flock. If Oppy ever shows an ounce of genuine interest in fighting against his urge to betray people for his own benefit, Hunted would be one of the first ones to help and encourage him.
