i think a lot ab how my chronic pain has given me a good working knowledge of pain points while i have zero theoretical knowledge
i do not remember a time when i did not have regular headaches. i didn't even realize i needed specs for a long while because i was so used to headaches. i never read up on how to handle headaches. i think i never expected it to be beyond "take a painkiller, don't strain your eyes" -- generic stuff basically. so i massaged my head till i found the root of my pain. i pressed and tapped and i found points at the side of my temples, i found spots near my eyes, eyebrows, ghe bridge of my nose. i noticed how sometimes i unknowingly clenched my jaws and triggered a headache. when earaches started accompanying my headaches, i used the same method for relief; the same experimentation.
and honestly. my methods barely work for me. I'm living off one head massage to the next. often, i'm too tired to massage my head so i just function with the pain. it's not the fix i am looking at. but hey whenever anyone else is in pain, my head massages seem to help. my pain has made me more aware of my body than most others seem to be with their bodies.
