ProjectN95 is shutting down

Tumblr Friends! ProjectN95 is unfortunately closing its doors on December 15th. They've done SO much to provide masks, respirators, PPE to healthcare workers and the public since 2020, and this is honestly such a loss of a non-profit organization. They've helped a lot of people over these years.

If you need quality masks/respirators, they're having a sale right now on ProjectN95.org. I definitely recommend checking them out sooner than later.

so im listening to the potd audio commentary and jodie's talking about covid restrictions and filming flux and how the restrictions were more intense at the start of filming (was that end of 2020/start of 2021?) and she says "by the time we finished, we could hug" and damn they took that opportunity didnt they

Got up early (for me), ate a light and healthy breakfast, applied to some jobs, took a long mental health walk with the dogs, gave one of them a bath, and even did some phone calls and messaging regarding my medication and pharmacy problems and managed to sort it out without breaking down!!! And! Showered!! Kicking ASS at mental health today

#im studying myself like a bug. with no judgement or compulsive self hate when i see the results. and then doing something different based on #those results #and its working #ive noticed that im much more productive when i have someone else to help or listen to. its a little uh sad because im not easily able to #to take care of myself and do things for MYSELF. but if its for someone else then its like i gain momentum #going out to clean out MY car? well i dont care how gross it is im not worth the effort.#cleaning out my car for my brother who i drive to therapy every other week? fuck yes its going to be nice and clean because therapy is impo #rtant and i want to help you stick with it and so we make it not a chore but lighthearted sibling time #like do you get it #anyway slow progress is still progress #the number of good days are slowly catching up to the number of bad days #post beginning of the pandemic 2020 was so brutal on me. moving back in with my parents especially #but i have a plan now . a real one. and friends to help me as well !#oops rambling in the tags haha #long tags

By now I think many people have heard that KristSingto’s upcoming series is an original script that was written for them. What we also have confirmed is that it was written about them.

KRIST: This series was written by P'Backaof and directed by P'Lit where they created this script from the start deliberately for the two of us and they got information for the characters etc. from KristSingto directly. In the series, the name for P'Sing is Tamtawan, and my name is Phatapi. And Tamtawan Tamtawan and Phatapi are KristSingto themselves.

INTERVIEWER: Does that mean you play yourself?

KRIST: [laughing] Yes, we act as ourselves, so it's not difficult at all.

there's cliche's and then there's intentionally leaving a piece vague but it still having meaning and assuming your audience isn't stupid so they can come to their own conclusions about how the piece makes them feel based on visual language

#that's what we did in art school #when you actually have to do shows and tell people in person your artist's statement #I like seeing how people feel and react to my work rather than care about the style or aesthetic or tropes used #it's the /meaning/ of the piece and I love how even though my experience is specific #it still feels relatable to others #in that moment where people go wow or that's so cool like #i had a guy run up to me once just because he bloboed a work of art I made #i love that shit #i miss shows but eugh pandemic :(#jackal's journal #my art historian would have a fit rn #her whole thing is Pompeii and she showed us how much enjoying and relating to things you love or find neat helps inspire you more #than worrying about how other people feel about you #like damn

no wonder kids are so fucked up these days. there’s no micro communities of virtual world games powered by flash anymore. There’s no safe spaces for kids who want to play online but can’t be on social media yet. There’s no PetPet Park or Nicktropolis or Bella Sara or anything left for kids to enjoy on modern internet. PetPet Park when I was an eight year old was like my safe spot. It gave me an outlet and a place to speak in a filtered way with the same people every day who would log in at the same time and who I would never know the names of. Kids are so lonely and so bored now and they’re being completely suffocated by these advertisements they don’t even understand. I think this is maybe the most hostile time on the Internet for pre teens and kids to be online and I mourn all the virtual worlds other children would have loved to have played at my age.

#take proposals #like one day basically shortly after we got together my gf was like I want to marry you #i was like that's nice #then another time not that long after she was like hey we should get married #and i was like um that's nice i'm not ready #and she was like yeah sure okay #so next time we're together in person (because we're long distance) she was like hey I want to marry you #and i was like well there are things we'd have to talk about such as kids and finances and what country to live in #and she was like sure yeah okay #then there was a pandemic and the inability to see each other and a lot of other things including discussions #and then i was like okay yeah i think that's a great idea i'd like to marry you #and she was like that's great i love you we still don't know where to live #and so after that she still periodically says we should get married #and asks me to marry her #and i ask her to marry me #and we always say yes #and eventually figure out where to live and start applying for visas etc etc #but when we mention we're engaged people always ask #how did she do it?#did you know she was going to?#who proposed to who?#like fuck idk when it even happened don't you propose to each other like every other day when you love each other?#and isn't marriage a much bigger decision than a single question #and then like my cousin who coined the term 'wedding industrial complex' told me she was getting married #and i was like cool do you know when the wedding is?#and she was like what? no. he hasn't proposed #and i was like . . . but you know you're getting married?#and she was like yeah we've discussed it and agreed #and i was like sooo....that's not a proposal?#and she was like no because he hasn't asked

Seeing so many shows get cancelled it’s still crazy how hsmtmts managed to last until Season 4 and by the creators own choice with a proper ending and endgames.

It’s a bit funny but also sad that I could’ve never bet on HSMTMTS being one of the longest running shows for a teen genre after pandemic. A lot of people made fun of this show only for it to get just what it was supposed to get via the own writers – with the characters reaching their arcs and planned endgames. A lot of things have changed for shows ever since studios so a show reaching Season 4 is a very rare luxury.

i can never understand all the people going “covid’s just a cold” “it’s just like the flu”. it’s not influenza or a rhinovirus. covid sars-cov-2: severe accute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. scientifically, it can never be a cold or flu, and it will cause severe accute respiratory syndrome. that’s not posturing or dramatics, it’s science

#also looking at long term symptoms of sars1. i think in 5-10 years we’re going to start seeing a barrage of horrible long term symptoms and #find out a lot of people never fully recovered #that’s what gets me is like. when i talk about covid my backing is from scientific journals and studies and then my own personal experience #watching someone die of covid. meanwhile people are like ‘well i read in an article’ or ‘well the cdc says’. also y’all the cdc is not forth #coming about covid info. they definitely don’t publicise things. but they still have information on their website that’s concerning that i #think if they publicised would make a lot more people concerned about the pandemic again #for example. I had an Isaac run where it was so stressful my heartrate was at a 145bpm and it persisted for 6 hours. After that, like every day that followed, my heart would just suddenly shoot up to 120-140bpm for an hour if I so much as thought about something I've been stressing over recently. Everybody encouraging me to go to the ER. And I'm just like "Oh please I've actually always been like this, I'm fine." Had to chop down my Adderall dosage. But I swear I've felt like this since high school, but I guess the medicine enhances the feeling and that feeling was ANXIETY.

So, suffice to say, playing The Binding of Isaac™️ almost gave me a heart attack.

#and its not the adderall thats just inducing the heartrate #cause i only got prescribed adderall this year #dad got diagnosed with afib when i was still in school. he rushed himself to the hospital with mom while i was taking a test #i was like what the heck where did you guys go and mom said oh dad was having a heart attack or something and we didnt want to bother you #like WOULDNT YOU TELL YOUR CHILD OH MAYBE YOU WONT SEE YOUR FATHER AFTER WE GO TO THE HOSPITAL BUT FINISH YOUR EXAM BABY #that was like 2020 and we have a couple of those oxygen readers for your fingers and it measures your heartbeat #i out one on for fun im just sitting there at the dinner table and my heartrate was at 120 #like i didnt do anything we been stuck at home because pandemic and we just having a nice dinner #and my heartbeat was just thats my resting heartrate. they told me to try the blood pressure thing #average blood pressure but truly my heartbeat was just vibing at 120. mis padres were like oh no maybe you have afib too #babes youre too young to have that. and i jsut said oh is that what it means when im nauseous and have to lie down #i havent been diagnosed with anything. i suspect is tachycardia but no official thing #although i havent seen a cardiologist. what if we pay to get a screening and its nothing #i dont want to go thru all that and let it be nothing. lets wait until its a real problem #when my brother and his family visited just like what two weeks ago he was like #he was sitting on moms exercise bike and said it reads your heartrate #and it did you put your hands on the handle and it reads yer pulse #i told him like oooh let me try. hey brother my resting heartrate is 120 a lot. and hes like. what. get on this thing #and i get off the couch literally resting and lay my hands on the handles #and we see it go up. from 80 to 90 to 100 to 110 to 120 and hes a nurse and my moms a nurse and he says go upstairs and rest #dont hang out here with the kids. and im like ha i already told mom #he said sit there for ten minutes dont do anythingg and were trying again #he got mom to call our doctor and my doctor said to stop taking the adderall which is NOT IDEAL theres worse repurcussions to stop cold #so i cut mine in half. cause i had a dosage of 20mg and i almost fainted at work. we died the dosage down to 15 #but after all that i cut my 15 down to 7.5 cause hey i cant stop cold but i can ween myself #brother said i shouldnt be taking adderall if im not doing anything that requires focus. but im like i need focus to live man #look at how much ive been drawing...i mean its only in like hour long intervals but its productive #so theres that. i can feel my heartrate already up but i guess its just a thing with me...anywho #doodles #the binding of isaac
