Imagine Peko waking up from the Neo World Program and reconnecting with Fuyuhiko.
Fuyuhiko catches Peko up with everything happening whilst the other survivors butts in every so often.
--
Sonia: Here's your coffee Fuyuhiko!
Peko: Oh, he needs cream and-
Sonia: I already added it! Just how he likes it!
Peko: (Frowns) That doesn't look like enough cream.
Fuyuhiko: I don't have as much as a sweet tooth anymore.
Sonia: Oh so you don't want the fried cookies I made for your coffee?
Fuyuhiko: You son of a bitch.
Sonia: Damn right!
--
Kazuichi: Fuyuhiko! I found some anime on the island! Let's watch it later!
Peko: Ah, he doesn't-
Fuyuhiko: It's fine. We'll watch it this weekend. Better not be romance.
Kazuichi: Yeah yeah, like you didn't get teary eye from the last one we saw.
Fuyuhiko: SOMETHING WAS IN MY EYE.
Kazuichi: ONLY DURING THE CLIMAX?
--
Akane: Fuyuhiko we're gonna run around the island tomorrow?
Peko: You run?
Akane: HE RUNS WELL!
Fuyuhiko: There's not much you can do on a debilitated island.
Akane: You're still not as fast as me.
Fuyuhiko: I'm not aiming to be a freak of nature.
--
Fuyuhiko: Peko are you okay? You're awfully quiet.
Peko: I knew you would be okay without me, I had no doubt. I just didn't expect you to mature so much. I haven't lived a single day without you but time never stopped for you. So it's jarring to say the least. I feel like I don't know you anymore.
Fuyuhiko: That gives us an interesting opportunity. Because we've been together ever since we were babies, we never had a proper introduction. So let's start over right now. (Extends his hand) My last name is Kuzuryu! My first name is pronounced, "Fu-yu-hi-ko". From this point forward, I hope we can get along so we can get to know each other better.
Peko: (stunned)
Fuyuhiko: Sorry, that was stupid.
Peko: (smiles) No. I loved getting to know you; I would love to do it all over again.
Fuyuhiko: But as equals!
Peko: (laughs) Yes. (grabs Fuyuhiko's hand) My name is Peko Pekoyama. It is nice to meet you.

something to hold onto
in which an ultimate yakuza doesn't know the word "touch-starved", and finds every other way to describe his annoying new craving for cuddles. too bad the only person he wants to cuddle is that guy who blew up multiple structures, who poisoned himself, who laughed like a child when he beat him at chess and pouted the same way when beaten, who knew exactly how much sugar he liked in his tea, who made his heart still with a smile, who—oh fuck, he was so far gone. how the hell had that happened?

Mahiru Koizumi, Peko Pekoyama, Ibuki Mioda, Mikan Tsumiki, and Chiaki Nanami with a crush on yo
LOL SO LIKE. i completely abandoned this account but i felt a little nostalgic and checked on it and this draft was here, it was originally gonna be the whole drv2 cast but i am not finishing this so here is all that is left because if youre for some reason still here you at least deserve this
Info/Warnings: no warnings, besides things that could be considered spoilers for the game ? reader is gender nonspecific, though pronouns r not even used !
---also these first few are from april 14 holy shit---
Mahiru Koizumi:
i guess this would be the most obvious thing, but she would definitely take pictures of you basically constantly
she cant help it okay !! its like every single moment shes with you is so so important to her that she can't help but just snap pictures at every moment
like she already takes pictures all the fuckin time but NOW....
now that she has a subject that she believes to be so effortlessly breathtaking.
now that she has a model who can do something simple- quietly flipping through the pages of a book, breathing softly in peaceful moments, looking at her with sleepy eyes- and look so utterly captivating.
now that she has something worth taking photos of.
she really cant help but take a picture every time you turn to look at her.
its like she sits there for a moment; her eyes widening in the same way the aperture of her lens widens, to take in more light, to take in more of you
and she absolutely makes sure her camera is in focus . she constantly has her focus on you, it simply wouldn't do you justice if her camera didn't do the same
you make her so blushy.
before either of you realize it, she has her camera pointed toward you, with a giggle and a red face
she secretly thinks its a disservice to ignore how perfect you are to her. with a sigh, she believes art with your beauty as the focal point is simply something you deserve.
her camera serves as her eyes, she uses the lens to look at the world
but most importantly, she uses them to look at you
Peko Pekoyama:
oh she is super protective but not in the LOUD CHARISMATIC GOOFY WAY (like akane p much hehe)
instead she's protective in a very silent way
like she doesn't protect you by goin LEMME BEAT THE BAD GUY UP she simply protects you because that's what's natural to her
she would never be the type to scream out how much she cares about you from rooftops, but she's always there beside you
you know she likes you in every moment you're together, she shows it in very quiet and subtle ways
in the way she walks silently beside you, eyes carefully observing for any sense of danger or even just annoyance that threatens you
the way she gently pushes you behind her, when she comes to defuse a heated argument you're in
the way she grips you tight in any possible moment of fear
the way she plays with your hair, her calloused and tired hands gently touching your hair, as she waits for you to fall asleep at night
the way she looks at you, warm eyes and slightly red cheeks
the way she carefully remembers things about you, everything you've ever told her
the way she makes you feel safe
the way she makes you feel held
the way you want to be protected by her
the way you want to be held by her
Ibuki Mioda:
oooowowoowo she would definitely be like super straightforward about it
i mean this is ibuki we're talkin about !!
and shes very loud about it too
like she'll do shit like stereotypical shit like writing songs about you or serenading you at concerts
she probably named an album after you, and she used like a voicemail from u as like the intro to one of her songs
its like her brain just NEVER EVER shuts up about you
first of all, she is barely ever apart from you .. she absolutely will constantly be at your side just because she wants to laugh with you
but even when you're apart she's still just !!!!!!!!!!!!!! thinking about you !!!!
so of course she just writes every single soft feeling for you and word vomits it all into songs
the first few months after she realized she really liked you was a period where literally every song she wrote was just .. about you
there's a solid chunk of her discography that is just
(listen i really wanted to write nonsense song titles for ibukis section)
Sugary Sweet Lovesick Girl
Butterflies In Digestive Organs
An Eye For An Eye (And My Eye's On You)
Crushing Hard, Ms. Hydraulics
Puppy Love For Barking Dogs
I Should've Brought My Inhaler (With The Way U Take My Breath Away)
Sights for Sore Eyes, Touches for Tired Hands
it's easily her biggest form of expression, and she has so much to say about you
so be prepared for her next album to be full of references to the days you spend together
references to your face and the way your eyes look at her
and references to all her feelings for you
Mikan Tsumiki:
oh man she is so obsessed with you
like at first shes like U-UM A-A-ARE Y-YOU P-PRANKING ME ? bc youre so fucking nice to her
obviously she is not used to gentle treatment, i think that's partially why she fell for you so fast
she has never been treated in a kind and soft and loving way in her entire life, and now ?? some mf just genuinely wants to be around her
you just wanna be with her
and she very much wants to be with you
i mean she has never been treated with any sort of respect ever, and she is so insecure and afraid ..
and suddenly, you come along and you treat her with care and with love
slowly but surely, she starts to realize that you genuinely care about her and you're safe and you're not tricking her and she is just. so smitten
very much following her whole "you... are the one who has forgiven me..." dialogue from the game
she realizes, every time she cries out and begs for you to forgive her (for something you didn't even care about), you will always just look at her with a smile
you'll always look at her and say it's okay
because you forgive her.
so she never wants to be away from you, and most of the time you're never separated anyways
she clings to you, because you make everything feel okay. you make her feel okay when she panics or starts to tremble.
when she can hardly speak from anxiety, when she starts to spiral
when it feels like the entire world is falling apart, you make it okay
even if it's just for a moment,
everything's okay
because she knows you'll forgive her
---this part is frome june 25 lol---
Chiaki Nanami:
oh she is really fucking soft and cute
i think this is really obvious but she would absolutely make you play games with her constantly
she basically lives, breathes, and eats games so its kinda a no brainer here
and it's very important to her
because she isn't good at dating games, she doesn't quite understand the inner workings of human interaction, and she certainly doesn't know where to even begin with talking to you
she really doesn't want anything to be awkward or weird
and so... games
sometimes when you're playing, she sits there, with her cheeks all puffed up and her cat hood on, focused on whatever game she decided to show you that day
before sneaking small glances at you, glances that probably go unnoticed on your end
but man those small glances and the little moments she spends playing with you really mean a lot
because she only really knows how to connect with people via video game

hey folks did you know i love super dangan ronpa 2
#marzi speaks#thinking abt the themes in that story#ESPECIALLY the letting other people’s perceptions dictate who you are vs choosing who you are for yourself and not letting anyone stop you#like almost every single one of the sdr2 cast has a front they put on/identity they’re ‘supposed’ to be vs who they truly are#komaeda’s i could write an essay on so we’re gonna skip him bc. energy#hajime’s is obvious. i don’t need to explain that one. though he tries really hard to come off as more masculine as well which. augh#speaking of masculine souda is a victim of toxic masculinity. he was bullied and had a dad who sucked so he changed himself to look fiercer#ibuki left her band due to ‘creative differences’- she didn’t fit into that classic pop band mold and she allowed herself to deviate#mahiru puts extra pressure on men around her bc Her Dad Also Sucked and she’s sick of having to deal with weaponized incompetence#gundham is this sweet kind kind boy who hides it all underneath a veil of darkness. the darkness is not a lie either though he is both#sonia. literally a princess. has huge shoes to fill. in reality she’s a horror fiend who just wants to nerd out abt true crime#nekomaru’s heart condition would have taken him out of sports forever but he found another way and started team managing instead#fuyuhiko is set up to be the next head of the kuzuryu clan but on the inside he is so compassionate (and canonically a prude lmao)#peko is literally raised as a tool and tries to embrace this role even though the one she works for just wants her to be herself#i haven’t seen hiyoko’s ftes but i imagine she’d be far less cruel if she didn’t have to deal with constant infantilization and perverts#twogami just. as a whole. the whole character. yeah#there’s for sure more but i haven’t seen everyone’s ftes so. yanno#like fuck !!!!!! people will always have a perception of what they think you should be but you cannot truly be happy#until you allow yourself to disregard those expectations and forge your own path instead !!!! fuck !!!!!

Diner AU - “86 'em!” Pt. 1
I make SO many mistakes at work, it's kinda insane. Because of that energy, I thought it'd be fun (and therapeutic) to delve into some of our wonderful protag!servers' learning journeys and working through bad experiences because we're all human (unless you're not, which is a-okay too @/Kiibo @/AlterEgo). This also became more angsty than I intended (particularly with Shuichi omg). This idea was inspired by @kelperings' doodles for this AU in this post (specifically Hajime walking away because of pickles hAHA). Check it out! She's an icon!
Starting off with an anxious Shuichi having difficulty with making eye contact with customers.
Okay, there's a person at Table 12 ordered the burger and he has to get them fries after, the family at 13 wanted another straw, he has the water for 5, 9's been waiting too long, haven't they? He needs to get their orders soon. 15 wanted the check... Wait, did another person just come in? He has to get to them after too. He's going to need 1, 2- “SHUICHI! Bro, how’s it going?”  -3 menus, he has to get them some water as well. What did the family need again? No, wait, deal with the water first... but he needs to say hi to Kaito, he doesn't want to be rude! “Sorry Kaito!” He quickly blurts out, and it sounds out of breath even to his own ears. “I'm doing great, just got some tables to finish up! Lunch rush, you know?” The detective gnaws at his lip. Straw done, get the cheque, drop off this water... “Oh, my bad bud. I'll be right over here!” Ah, there's someone about to leave, just gotta walk past them, don't make eye contact, you already have too many things to think about right now... the server drifts his gaze downward. Okay, everything's fin- SPLASH! He jolts upward, his gaze meeting widened plum eyes and the noticeable wet spot on his white shirt. “Oh god! Kaito, I'm so sorry!” This is all his fault, if only he looked up more. ” “Hey, it's all good man! I shouldn't have been standing here, it's totally my bad...” At the corner of his eye, he sees the bright apron of his coworker approaching. “Hey, is everything okay?” Komaru asks. He nods. Distantly, she can hear him asking Kaito if he needs some tissues, but he's too focused on the ground and the litany of all your fault, look what you did Shuichi, you can't get anything right. “Shuichi.” A soft voice cuts through. “Hey, it's basically time for your break anyway. Go and take it! I got your tables covered, just be a little more careful, okay?” Komaru says it kindly, but it still hits him like a bullet. He wishes that he had his hat with him. “Of course. I'm really sorry, it won't happen again.” Komaru's white shoes leave his peripherals, meaning she must have walked away. The ends of Kaito's long purple coat remain, though. He feels the familiar slap against his shoulders. “C'mon Shuichi, let's go outside. We can talk there if you want, yeah? It's really all good.” He's been through this before. He needs to step out. Just follow Kaito. He wills his feet to move next to the other's. Feeling the fresh air against his face, no one else in sight, his breath returns to his lungs. He lets himself stay there. In and out. The sky is cloudy today. In and out. The fog in his mind feels less hazy now. In and out. I made a mistake. I feel terrible about it. It impacted people I cared about, which makes everything so much wor-. In and out. Just stick with the facts, Shuichi. I made the mistake because I tried to avoid eye contact, which I still struggle with. In and out. I have improved, but it was what I relied on for a long time, so it's understandable I can get back into that habit. It doesn't mean I've failed myself. It doesn't mean it'll keep happening. You're working through it, you know that. You're okay. I'm okay. No, that's not right. I will be okay. He's certainly feeling a little better, at least. He turns back around the corner, seeing a cross-armed Kaito perched against the wall. Upon his entrance, the astronaut straightens, looking at him expectantly. “Hey Kaito, sorry for giving you such an unpleasant dining experience...” “Are you kidding?! When I said I'm here to support you bro, I meant that in every way.” The corners of Shuichi's mouth lift. “How're you feeling?” “Feeling better. Thanks for being here, Kaito.” He's nestled into a side hug. “Anything for my sidekick!” “Hey, for your meal, it's on the house, okay?” “You don't have to do that!... But I ain't gonna object.”
And a sleep-deprived Shuichi.
Another busy day. Another glass to fill. Caffeine rushes through his veins as he lazily pours the pitcher. When did he last go to sleep? When was Komaeda's rope case? Was that yesterday or two days ago? Genuinely, it's concerning how nonchalant the man was about an attempted kidnapping... At least he helped him figure it out. Hopefully that provides him some peace of mind. “Hey!” Someone yelps. Well, that certainly woke him up. He darts upward to see the furrowed brows on the male customer's face. Did he pour water on him? He checks him, but he's fine. Instead, there's a small puddle formed underneath the glass. “Oh sorry sir, I didn't mean to overfill it-” “Where the hell's your manager!? I'd like to talk to them.” Luckily (or unluckily), Makoto is already within earshot and comes over. Immediately, the man is angrily discussing the origins of the spilled water, and Makoto sends him off to fetch another glass. As he walks away, he hears him quickly following behind. “Hey. While it definitely isn't great, I get mistakes happen. You're going to be more focused though, right?” “Yeah, sorry about that...”
Also:
“Oh Shuichi...” Kaede frowns, gazing at her friend's sleeping form on one of the booths. His position doesn't even look comfortable, but she knows the booths are comfy enough. And he looked so tired earlier... “It’s okay, let him rest.” Makoto chimes over her shoulder. “We're nearly closing anyway.”
───────── ౨ৎ ─────────
And here's a highly stressed Hajime giving the wrong dish(es) to the wrong table(s).
He places the plate in front of Komaeda, already ready to rush over to the next person because that one asshole is glaring at him for not getting his damn soda, like damn, it hasn't even been that long! “Hajime.” Does he have time for this? “What.” He hisses out, perhaps a little more tersely than he should, but it's Nagito. He's definitely heard him act worse. “Why is there-” The guy shudders, “rice?” Rice? Why the hell would there be rice, he knows he hates that shi- His eyes meet the plate. Fuck, he got the wrong one. He turns, and sure enough, the lady who ordered the fried rice meets his gaze with a confused tilt of her head. She eyes the dish in front of Nagito longingly. “Wrong table, huh? It's okay Hajime, it's really expected of a Res- Hajime? Hajime, why are you already walking away?” Yeah, he's not in the mood for the reminder. The last thing he wants to think about is his exams. Fuck, they're going to be the death of him. He unceremoniously plops Nagito's correct plate in front of him after returning the fried rice and even getting that other guy's soda, just for good measure. “Here you go. Enjoy.” He scowls. The other opens his mouth, but he's already walked away. He darts toward whoever he's supposed to pretend to be civil in front of next, and blond hair enters his vision, a silver-haired girl across from him. Is that who he thinks it is? When he approaches them, Fuyuhiko greets him while Peko nods her head in acknowledgment. Wow. “Hey guys.” He allows a smile to peek through. “Hey. Saw what happened over there with Komaeda.” The blond starts. Ah. Is he seriously about to get a lecture right now? “Yo, no judgment man, can't say I don't get it. Especially since Natsumi told me you guys have exams coming up?” He feels his mood further tank at the reminder. “I'm fine.” He huffs, pursing his lips. Where is he going with this? “Look, I don't want to overstep, or whatever, but like... I know you don't mean your attitude right now, but I don't think that guy knows. He kind of looks like a kicked puppy from here, honestly. And also, you're working. It's unprofessional.” Who cares? He would voice the thought, but, “It is understandable to be angry, Hinata.” Peko says. “Give yourself this moment to collect yourself.” And he listens. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. When he opens them, he nods. He does feel a little better. “Thank you, both of you.” They smile at him before telling him their dishes. After he drops off their order with Rantaro (and he's thankful he's got no other tables to attend to at the moment), he sits himself into Nagito's booth where his eggs sat untouched. Grey eyes glance up at him. “Hajime. I genuinely didn't mean to upset you, but of course I manage to.” He sighs, gritting his teeth. “It wasn't personal, Nagito. I shouldn't have acted that way towards you. I'm just... ugh... I've got some shit on my mind. Exams. Way too much fucking homework. Other stuff.” He braces for the Exams? Seriously? That's what you're acting up over? How pathetic! But of course you're going to be struggling over something so basic. “Oh.” The guy says instead. “Really? I'll try not to be a burden anymore than I have been.” “You-?” don't care? Aren't going to mock me for it? “Your reasoning isn't special, Hajime.” There it is. “It's entirely normal, you know. I know how people act regarding it, and I know how you act. After all, I've been on the receiving end.” Hajime cringes. Their earlier interactions were NOT the best. “So I can't help but feel a little relieved.” Yeah, that's not addressing the actual issue.  “I won't treat you like that again, you know. I-” He ignores the way his cheeks warm. “-respect you. I know other people here don't deserve it either, even if some are assholes.” Like that one guy who said took you look enough because seriously, fuck that guy. “I won't lash you out at you if you don't deserve it.” He pauses. “Until you start acting like a smug asshole again.” Nagito looks down, but he has a smile on his face.
───────── ౨ৎ ─────────
With Komaru learning there's an etiquette to follow that isn't always told.
Everything's going pretty well! Just another hour and she'll be back at home in her comfy, comfy bed. All she's gotta do is finish up these last remaining tables. She grabs the glass and starts pouring water from the pitcher in her hands. Alright, that's done, onto the next one. “Um, hello?” Their voice, suddenly gaining an edge, cuts in. “Can I have another glass?” She tilts her head. Another glass? “But I just refilled it?” “Yeah, but you touched where I drink. Did you even wash your hands?” Huh? Well, she definitely washes her hands, that's literally a part of her job description. All she did was just grab the glass... what's wrong with that? “I’m sorry?” The server says, both confused and slightly irritated. What is happening? She didn't do anything weird! She does this at home all the time! The customer scoffs. “You should be!” “I-! Well!”. She frowns, but tries to remain upbeat. “I apologize! Let me get you a new glass!” “Could someone who's actually competent get it? Honestly...” Her eye twitches. Seriously? Regardless, she bows her head. “Please excuse me then. And sorry again!” While she's not necessarily running, she does make a beeline to the back. She finds her brother the moment she gets there, currently placing orders on the counter for Rantaro. “Makoto, Makoto, Makoto,” The newer server groans, slumping against the wall like it's free real estate. “I'm so done! What is she even talking about??? Is there something I'm not getting? What did I do wrong?” “Whoa, slow down Komaru. What happened?” “All I did was grab the glass. How else am I supposed to pour the water without spilling it? Should I not be touching the glass at all? I'm a little too clumsy for that...” “How did you grab the glass?” She blinks. How? That's a weird question. At her questioning look, her brother brings a cup and places it in front of her. She mimes holding a pitcher in her other hand as she grabs the cup from near the top, like she usually does. “Ah, that explains it.” Huh? Makoto sighs. “It's a little obvious. It's a hygienic thing for some people. Don't touch where someone would put their lips on the cup. It's safer to just touch the lower half.” “Oh. I didn't know about that...” How was she supposed to know about it though? It's not in anything she's ever read before. Training never brought it up either. It sounds pretty understandable put together like that, even if she personally wouldn't pay it any concern. Komaru huffs. It's not worth thinking too much about it. “Speaking of that, could you go to Table 3 and get her some water? She doesn't want me doing it anymore after that...” The younger Naegi sheepishly grins. “I promise I won't do it again!” “I'll do it if you take 9.” Hazel eyes narrow. “What's wrong with 9?” “Please just do it.” She shrugs. She knows he wouldn't ask if the customers were really weird, so it can't possibly be that bad. “Alrighty, big bro. But you owe me a new manga!” “I'm already doing you a favour!” He yells back, but it's drowned out by her laugh.

Twilight Syndrome Murder Case - Girl G
[Part 1]
Tumblr media
...
Date: July 7th, 2011
Tumblr media
*In the girl's change room, the girls were getting dress in swimsuits*
Tumblr media
Okay guys, I'm ready - are you all set to go do some swimming?!
Tumblr media
Of course I am, honestly I'm quite excited to do this - nothing like a mandatory beach episode!
Tumblr media
Te-Technically we aren't at a beach but sw-swimming is nice, it's go-good for you...
Tumblr media
Hmph, whatever - honestly I'm only doing this because the rest of you are.
Tumblr media
Also Mahiru is gonna teach me how to swim, I really wanna learn how to do that.
Tumblr media
Sure thing Hiyoko, anything to help out!
Tumblr media
At least my camera is water proof, thankfully so I can take pictures while we are having fun.
Tumblr media
Hatomi? Are you ready yet...?
Tumblr media
*Hatomi is looking through her bag* I...I can't find my swimsuit...
Tumblr media
Wait, you can't find your swimsuit?! Where did it go?
Tumblr media
I'm not sure, I'm sure I pack it but it's gone...
Tumblr media
No way, it's like... gone gone!? How can you forget such a thing and give some good old fanservice!
Tumblr media
Yeah, looks like someone must of taken it...!
Tumblr media
Th-Then who could of taken it...?
Tumblr media
Maybe it was that pervert I was hearing about recently? I bet he must of taken it while you weren't looking...
Tumblr media
But I feel that he aim the wrong target, pig trash seem like a way better choice!
Tumblr media
Wh-Why me?! I-I'm sure I'm not that attractive!
Tumblr media
Hiyoko, leave Mikan alone - your freaking her out!
Tumblr media
But Hatomi are you sure we shouldn't search for it, I think we can do that.
Tumblr media
Same here, we should try and search for it if we can...
Tumblr media
Nah, it's okay - I can sit this one out, besides you all should have fun anyway, so go ahead!
Tumblr media
Are you sure, I feel we should at least try.
Tumblr media
Guys guys, it's fine! Besides I can sit this one out, you all go and enjoy yourselves, okay?
Tumblr media
Yeah c'mon, we only got an hour of swimming - we better not waste it.
Tumblr media
Exactly let's go before the timer is up, c'moooon!
*Ibuki rushes out of the change room*
Tumblr media
Ibuki wait, your gonna slip and fall if you run out like that!
*As then Mahiru follows after her as does the other girls which many of them except for Hatomi went swimming and enjoy themselves...*

Hey! Would you be willing to do regressor Peko Pekoyama headcannons?
hello! of course :D i’m so very sorry this took a while to write, i’ve been super busy lately! i hope you like it nonetheless <3 thank you for requesting and take care!
Tumblr media
regressor peko pekoyama headcanons!
Tumblr media
•peko would likely regress for comfort reasons, or to help cope with stress. not necessarily because she goes out of her way to— rather— i believe fuyuhiko might have suggested it. he knows that she doesn’t take care of herself and tends to put up with it whenever she’s stressed.
•he heard about it from one of his classmates and subtly tried mentioning it to peko. she refused, of course, and remained hesitant about it. however, when things got really tough, and she was alone...
•she tried regressing. and she found that it actually helped her a lot! she only ever does it when she has to, and she usually tries to be alone when she does.
•peko would probably be a child regressor, anywhere from ages 5-7.
•she loves playing pretend, especially when it comes to playing pirates with swords or going on a special secret mission! (considering she was exposed to weapons very early in her life...)
•she’s not too much of a picky eater, either. she’ll eat pretty much anything, but she adores cute little snacks like animal crackers.
•peko has a cat stuffed animal she adores!! she’s always taken a liking to cats, so when she’s regressed, it’s always comforting to have a stuffed animal of an animal she loves so dearly.
•i like to think that peko likes having her hair braided or brushed when she’s regressed!! it makes her feel really small :) fuyuhiko typically does that for her, braiding it in the mornings and brushing it out before bed.
•peko absolutely makes her plushies talk to each other. she gives them intricate names and personalities, gently making them walk around and have conversations with other plushies.
•she also loves to read!! she’ll read anything she can get her hands on, whether it be picture books, chapter books or informational books. (sometimes she has to look up what some of the words mean when they’re a bit too big, though!)
•overall, peko is just a really sweet regressor. she’s doing her best to cope with things as she can, and she’s so very grateful she’s not alone in it. <3

Remember how it was Peko's birthday at the end of June? Well, guess who just finished her birthday drabble~? This guy!
A Pekobuki Birthday Special!
Rating: PG, Peko is a classy lady
Word Count: 2347
Peko would've been fine not doing anything for her birthday. She kept it pretty quiet, figuring it would just be easier if no one else knew. Natsumi and Fuyuhiko knew, of course, but they respected her desire to not tell anyone.
Mostly.
Unsurprisingly, one of them let the information slip to Hajime. That was probably fine, Peko thought. Hajime knew when to exercise discretion.
Except apparently he didn't, because he immediately went and told Chiaki, who had inevitably gotten the whole class involved.
And so, Peko found herself sitting in the food court at the mall, quietly observing her friends celebrating her birthday. She wasn't mad, per se, but she did occasionally glare at Hajime to let him know that she blamed him. The reserve course student cowered behind his boyfriend, who honestly found the whole thing hilarious.
“Oh no,” Fuyuhiko had teased her. “You might actually have to acknowledge that people give a shit about you.”
Peko had pointedly mentioned how hard the blonde had tried to keep his own birthday a secret. He scowled in response and dropped the subject.
Honestly, though, the day wasn't turning out as badly as Peko had feared. She had to admit that she was actually sort of enjoying herself. The mall still seemed like an odd choice, but Chiaki had insisted that the girls wanted to take her shopping after lunch. Peko still wasn't sure how she felt about that.
She also wasn't sure how she felt about what Ibuki was doing. The musician had decided to sit right next to Peko, and kept trying to get her to join the conversation. The silver-haired girl responded to anyone who addressed her directly, but didn't get too involved beyond that. Still, Ibuki kept trying.
“What stores do you want to go to, Peko-Peko?” Ibuki asked cheerfully, leaning way too far into Peko's personal space.
The swordswoman didn't let her discomfort show as she answered. “I'm not sure. I don't think I've ever actually been to this mall.”
Ibuki’s eyebrows shot up. “Whaaat? Really?” When Peko nodded, she crossed her arms. “Hmm, well, what kinda stores do you like?”
Starting to feel a little embarrassed, Peko glanced away. “I'm… not sure. I don't do much shopping.” It was true, Peko didn't go to stores very often. She didn't have a lot of decorations or knick knacks, and most of her clothes had been bought for her by Natsumi, who loved shopping. Even Fuyuhiko picked things out for her sometimes, so she hadn't really felt the need to shop for herself.
Ibuki hummed thoughtfully. “I see, I see. Peko isn't really the girly type, after all, so it makes sense that you don't like shopping.” The musician smiled at her. “But Ibuki thinks you're gonna have a good time, anyway!”
Peko felt a strange warmth in her chest as she looked at Ibuki. “...I certainly hope so,” she mumbled.
After lunch, Mahiru shooed the boys away so that the girls could take Peko shopping. Hajime tried to offer one last apology, which Peko acknowledged neutrally before the brunette got dragged away by his boyfriend.
The girls quickly made a game plan (with very little input from Peko, who was clearly out of her depth) and set off into the mall.
They stopped at several stores, most of which appealed more to the other girls’ interests than Peko's. Chiaki obviously wanted to stop in the game store, Ibuki wanted to stop at the music store, Sonia wanted to stop at the weird occult store, and so on. None of it really caught Peko's interest, but she was still happy to be included.
They also visited a few clothing stores, but again, nothing really jumped out at Peko. By the end of their second hour of shopping, pretty much all of the girls had found something for themselves, but nothing for the birthday girl. Some of them were getting a little frustrated.
“Why did we even bother coming to the mall?” Hiyoko complained. “Not like there's a stupid sword store.”
“Hiyoko!” Mahiru scolded her with her hands on her hips. “Peko obviously has more interests than just swords.”
Hiyoko glared back at her girlfriend. “Oh yeah? Like what?”
Mahiru faltered slightly. “W-Well…”
The dancer faked a gasp. “Oh, I know! Maybe we can find a personality store somewhere!”
Peko clenched her jaw, determined not to make a scene at the mall. Dealing with Fuyuhiko her whole life, she had obviously learned to let insults go, but somehow Hiyoko’s words still hurt. She couldn't really blame her, though. It wasn't like Peko ever talked about herself.
“Stop it!” Surprisingly, Ibuki stepped forward. “If you don't want to be here, then leave! Don't talk like that about Peko on her birthday. She's our friend, y'know?”
Again, Peko felt that strange, warm feeling in her chest.
“Ibuki is right,” Chiaki chimed in, gently placing a hand on the swordswoman’s shoulder. “This trip is supposed to be for Peko. If you aren't having a good time, you should just go.”
Hiyoko scoffed, cheeks turning pink. “Ugh… Why is everyone ganging up on me? Now I feel like a jerk.”
Peko sighed softly, relaxing slightly. “It's fine. If everyone is done shopping, we can leave. I don't mind.”
Ibuki frowned at her. “But we haven't found anything for Peko-Peko!”
The silver-haired girl gazed calmly back at her. “It's fine. I really don't need anything.”
“That's not the point though,” Ibuki muttered. She took Peko's hands in hers. “We want to do something nice for you... Ibuki wants to do something nice.”
Peko felt her face getting hot and she wasn't sure why. “Oh… Th-Thank you…?”
Sonia, who had been watching the two of them with stars in her eyes, grabbed Chiaki’s arm. “Well! Perhaps we should leave it to Ibuki, then?”
Chiaki gave her a questioning look, but when the princess smiled back at her, she seemed to realize where she was going with this. “Oh… Yeah, maybe we should.”
As the other girls agreed, Ibuki seemed confused, but excited. She saluted with a smile. “You can count on me! Ibuki will make Peko's birthday the best one ever!”
Peko wasn't sure how to feel about this turn of events, but as the others bid their farewells, she didn't stop them. She turned to Ibuki, suddenly finding herself alone with the musician.
Ibuki smiled and grabbed her hand. “Come on! We're gonna find something you like!” And with that, she dragged Peko towards the next store.
They visited a few more shops, seemingly at random, but there still wasn't anything that caught Peko's attention. Honestly, Peko wasn't even sure what she would like. She hadn't had a lot of time for hobbies over the years, after all.
Ibuki was incredibly patient with her. As they exhausted each store with no luck finding anything, Ibuki cheerfully pulled Peko on to the next one. She constantly reassured the swordswoman that they were sure to find something eventually.
And, eventually, they did.
They entered a clothing store that specialized in cutesy designs. Peko had been too embarrassed to go there with all of the other girls, but Ibuki was more than happy to lead her inside. The two of them looked around for only a few minutes before Peko saw it.
Hanging on one of the racks was a sweater made out of fluffy white fabric. It had a hood with adorable cat ears and a paw print pattern around the bottom. Peko thought it was the cutest sweater she had ever seen. She also thought she could never pull off a look like that.
But Ibuki clearly understood the look of longing on her face. “Wow, Peko! Ibuki never expected you to like something like this!” She sounded surprised, but thankfully not judgemental.
Peko still found herself blushing and averting her eyes. “I… enjoy fluffy things,” she confessed quietly.
The musician’s eyes widened and an earnest smile split her face. “That's so cute! You have to try it on!”
“Wh- Try it on?” Peko asked in alarm. “N-No, I can't.”
Ibuki tilted her head curiously. “Why not?”
The question gave Peko pause. Why couldn't she? Surely trying the sweater on couldn't hurt. She didn't have to buy it, after all.
She eyed the sweater again, and Ibuki helpfully grabbed the garment and held it out to her. “Here, let's go find a fitting room.”
Once she found herself in the privacy of a fitting room, Peko was able to relax a bit. Trying the cute sweater on didn't feel so intimidating without the risk of someone seeing her.
Taking a deep breath, Peko took the sweater off of its hanger and pulled it on. Slowly, she turned to look at herself in the mirror, cheeks burning.
She regarded her reflection with mixed emotions. The sweater looked super cute, sure, but Peko couldn't help but feel ridiculous. She was a swordswoman, a bodyguard, a fucking yakuza, and here she was trying on a fluffy, girly top. She looked stupid, out-of-place, wrong-
Her inner turmoil was cut short by a knock on the fitting room door. “Peko-Peko!” Ibuki's voice carried through the door. “How does it look?”
Peko hesitated. On the one hand, she absolutely hated how she looked in the sweater. The fluffy white hood really contrasted with her naturally intimidating demeanor, and she wasn't sure she wanted Ibuki to see that. But, on the other hand…
Who's to say Ibuki wouldn't like it?
It took the silver-haired girl another long moment to decide what she wanted to do, but eventually, she opened the door. Ibuki was standing just on the other side, and as the door opened, her face lit up.
“OMG, Peko!” the musician gasped. “You look sooo cute!”
Peko felt her face heat up. “I… I do?”
Ibuki nodded emphatically. “Totally! That sweater looks so cute on you! How does it make you feel?”
The swordswoman had to pause. Only moments before, she had been certain that the sweater wasn't for her. She had felt silly and dumb. But now, with Ibuki telling her that she looked good…
Peko turned to look in the mirror again, seeing herself in a new light. “...You really think I look… cute?” she asked quietly.
Ibuki stepped into the fitting room, surprising Peko, and rested her chin on her shoulder. “Definitely. Ibuki thinks you look amazing.”
Blushing, Peko met Ibuki's gaze in the mirror. The two of them locked eyes, staring each other down for a long moment.
Finally, Peko swallowed hard. “...I've never felt… cute before.”
Ibuki's eyes widened slightly, but she didn't seem overly surprised. “Well, how do you like it?”
The silver-haired girl thought about it for just a moment before answering. “It's nice,” she murmured, embarrassed by her own honesty.
Grinning, Ibuki wrapped her arms around Peko. “Great! Let's get it!”
Peko wanted to protest, but being enveloped in ibuki's arms was so distracting that she didn't respond. The dark-haired girl gave her a quick squeeze before releasing her and stepping back, and Peko didn't know what to make of the sudden disappointment she felt.
She took the sweater off and followed Ibuki out to the register. She still felt silly buying the cutesy garment, but she didn't get a chance to object. Ibuki grabbed the sweater out of her hands and paid for it before the swordswoman could react.
They left the store shortly after. As they walked, Peko considered what to say. “Thank you,” she said finally. “For the sweater, and for not giving up on me.”
Ibuki grinned at her. “Of course, Peko! That's what friends are for!”
Peko gazed back at her, a soft smile making its way onto her face.
The musician blinked, cheeks slowly turning red. “Wow… You're even cuter when you smile,” she blurted without thinking.
The silver-haired girl’s eyes widened. “O-Oh…”
Ibuki laughed awkwardly and looked away. “Yeah, uh… Man, if this was a song, I'd call it ‘Awkwardly Flirting With Your Coolest Friend… and Probably Ruining Everything,’” she muttered.
A warm feeling settled in Peko’s chest, and she wasn't sure how to react at first. She stopped walking abruptly, causing Ibuki to do the same, and the two girls stared at each other for a moment. Swallowing hard, Peko finally asked, “F-Flirting?”
“Yeah,” Ibuki confirmed quietly.
There was another pause. Peko nervously furrowed her brow. “...I don't know anything about flirting,” she began slowly, “but… I know that you haven't ruined anything. Honestly, this has probably been the most enjoyable birthday I've ever had.” She blushed.
Ibuki fiddled with her hands. “It is?” When Peko nodded, the musician decided to go all out. “...Then can we hang out like this again? Just the two of us?”
Slowly, Peko nodded again. “I would like that.”
Feeling a surge of confidence, Ibuki reached out and took Peko's hands in her own. “Maybe next time we could have dinner together? Or see a movie?” She smiled hopefully at the other girl.
Peko's face felt hot, but a smile tugged at her lips. “...Are you asking me on a date?”
“Only if you're going to say yes,” Ibuki replied with a giggle.
The swordswoman squeezed Ibuki's hand. “Then… yes.”
Ibuki's face lit up and she hopped up and down excitedly. “Great! Ibuki can't wait!”
The musician cheerfully talked about their date the whole way out of the mall. Peko listened contentedly, feeling strangely excited. Dating wasn't something she had thought she was particularly interested in, but then, she also hadn't thought she'd be interested in a fluffy cat sweater, either.
Just before they parted ways, Ibuki hugged Peko tightly. As she pulled away, she smiled warmly at the other girl. “Happy birthday, Peko-Peko,” she told her quietly.
Peko flushed and smiled back, feeling happier than she had in years. “Thank you.”
She watched Ibuki go, ignoring the way her stomach fluttered. As she began walking home, her thoughts were a whirlwind. She would have to talk to Fuyuhiko when she got home. She had no idea how to act on a date, after all.
There! It's finished! And now I have like five days to crank out a birthday fic for Fuyuhiko hyfvioushzfz

The biggest recommendation I can give on writing dialogue that sounds in character for the character to say is, not to read the quests they are in, but to listen to the English dub whenever you get the chance. This may seem difficult especially if you are used to playing it in another language, but listening is key to getting the vibe of a character down. What you pay attention to is, not what they say, but the cadence in which they say it. Pay attention to the emotion in their voice, the speed at which they say things, the volume, etc. Once you get this down, it becomes easier to get an idea of what “sounds” right and what doesn’t. Cadence is an especially powerful thing. By training your ears to a character’s cadence, you can get a better idea of which words they would prefer to use, the lengths of their sentences, and things of the sort.
For example, reader asks Zhongli to dinner and he accepts. How would he respond? “Hmm, I’m not busy this evening, so I accept. Thank you for the invitation.” But that doesn’t sound right, does it? Is Zhongli the type of person that uses many contractions? I don’t think so, so let’s fix it. “Hmm, I am not busy this evening, so I accept. Thank you for the invitation.” But would he say “I accept?” Perhaps, but it still doesn’t sound right. How has he accepted proposals in the past? A bit of research shows he has said “sure.” How can I mix that in? “Hmm, I’m not busy this evening, so sure. Thank you for the invitation.” But hmm… the second sentence doesn’t sound right. What else could he say instead? “Hmm, I’m not busy this evening, so sure. It would be my pleasure.” That sounds a lot better.
Some people may ask why you can’t do these things while listening to another language. Personally, I don’t believe you can. If you are not fluent in those other languages, your ears are not properly trained enough to understand the nuance of the ways they speak. The correct emotion and tone will come through, yes, but you still won’t be able to intuitively know what sounds right and what does not. You only will get this sense by listening to it in the language you choose to write in.
The only downside to this is that your writing will become based upon the English translation of the game. As many people know, the portrayal of characters in English often does not completely match the portrayals in Chinese. This is especially so for characters like Zhongli, Xiao, and Kaeya. A lot is lost in the translation and dubbing process. Characters do not vibe the same. Thus, your portrayals will be more true to English, but not how it technically is “supposed” to be. Personally, I don’t necessarily believe this is a bad thing. However, it is something that can bother people. The only way I can imagine getting around it is by playing the game with the Chinese dub and by following accounts that speak Chinese and can give insight on the literal translations and what they mean and imply.

apparently this is the nekomaru chapter.
going back through oafc (mostly) showed me that i actually have more horrors meet junko moments than i thought (mikan, of course, and imposter, but hiyoko, peko, and fuyuhiko, too). i think i was considering moving peko and fuyuhiko over but i think they're prompted by stuff in text, so those will probably stay.
i've got mahiru's done. (i've got another one with peko and fuyuhiko, apparently, so i need to compare the two.) i'm in nekomaru's now.
akane's and teruteru's will probably go together.
i have a general idea for kaz's, and his and sonia's feel like they should go together roughly.
i have already mentioned that chiaki has a role in this; hers is in oafc.
idk if i'll do one for izuru; if i do, it'll probably be near the end.
which leaves gundham, nagito, and ibuki.
i have a general idea for ibuki.
i have a general idea for nagito.
gundham i have an idea but am unsure of it.
some of these will probably not take a full memory chapter.
oh, yes, and i've also done chisa's.
besides these, there is a junko/yasuke-centric memory in oalh, there's a kyoko memory that needs to be done later but before a certain point (it's hinted at in oaei, but i don't think you'd know to miss it), and there's a chisa memory that also needs to come up sometime later.
hm.
