Can you write a oneshot were Penelope(criminal minds) has a bf who owns a successful bakery and Penelope tells the team about him and go to said bakery to meet him?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: None just a bunch of fluff and niceness. I rather like this one. Thanks for the Request I Loved it.
-----
Running a bakery was not as easy as most people thought it was. especially when you need everything to be perfect and to run smoothly. You only ever had a few people working at a time and they were all teenagers just needing a job. They did their job well, it wasn't their fault that you were always making sure everything was perfect.
Today had been a busier day than normal, you had got up early because your girlfriend had woken up at a god awful time and the warmth that left the bed was enough to wake you. She of course had apologized but you reassured her it was perfectly okay while placing kisses to her lips and cheek.
As she got herself ready you did the same. However not before packing her a lunch and sneaking her some pastries into her bag that you had made.
Once it was time for the both of you to leave and go your separate ways she placed both hands on your cheeks and kissed you. It was a kiss that took your breath away because of how sweet it was. She was always affectionate, she was perfect in every single way. "Goodbye my love" she says softly as she grabs her bag that has her food. "Goodbye beautiful, be safe at work"
She nods and blows you a kiss before walking out of the house leaving you to go to your own job.
When you got there you walked into the kitchen area where you bake everything. Its a very big kitchen since you need to bake loads of pastries and make coffee, tea and a bunch of other drinks. You begin to make sure you have all the pastries you think you will need and once you are happy with the number you begin to grab at least one of each pastry to set up on the display so people can see some of your newer baked goods.
You were there fairly early so you had time to send Penelope a short text before reading until you opened.
Some of the workers had came at the right time and they said good morning to you and asked if there were any pastries that needed to get done first and when you tell them the plans for the day they nod. As they get started you begin to play some music on the speakers keeping it at a comfortable volume. Especially as people started to file in.
While someone runs the register you find your way around the tables and clean up as people come and go. Sometimes you would go into the kitchen to help them bake and monitor everything.
The place was busy for most of the day, you barely had time to text Penelope but when you would feel the vibration of your phone you always tried to check it and respond. However when you had your hands in dough you hadn't seen the text that she had sent telling you that the team and her were going to be dropping by.
You hadn't met the team yet but its something you have been wanting to do. Just that all of them rarely had time to be together outside of work. So while you had just put everything in the fridge and the oven to make your last batch of the day so you can start fresh tomorrow you heard the door open.
Everyone had already left and went home. You always stayed after so you could bake at least one batch of everything so tomorrow you didn't have to come in so early and be behind.
When you heard the door you turn around with dough still on your hands that you need to wash off you see your girlfriend with her team. "oh Hi guys sorry I will be right with you" you held up your hands slightly before going to the sink and washing it all off and drying your hands with a towel.
Finally you walk up to Penelope and kiss her cheek before looking at everyone. The man you assume is Morgan (aka Chocolate thunder) speaks first "who is this baby girl?" She laughs and if it were anyone else you would have not been happy with the nickname but since its Morgan you arent worried about it at all especially when she grabs your hand and smiles. "this is my boyfriend y/n"
All their eyes turn to look at you and one by one they hold their hand out for you to shake as they introduce themselves. First you shake Aarons hand, his grip was firm and gives you a small nod. Next was Rossi, his handshake was. Different it wasn't firm but it wasn't gentle either. Somewhere in between. As you shook their hands Spencer didn't hold out his hand.
You didn't make it a big deal because depending on the day you don't like to be touched a lot either. Instead you give him a nod and a small smile. "Its nice to meet you Spencer" he gives you a small nod "its nice to meet you too"
Emily is quick to look around and look at you "I know you're closed but could we get a pastry?" Everyone else seems to be hungry too as they begin to look around. "yeah of course what would you all like"
They all order tell you your order while you go and get Penelope's favorite and hand it to her. JJ is quick to say "awe that's the cutest" Penelope shoos her and laughs. While you go get everyone's order and hand it to them. "here you guys go. Lets sit down"
You all get two tables and push them together before sitting down. They tell you all about Penelope which causes Penelope to blush or laugh but the topic turns to about everyone's family and their own lives. Conversation was easy even with all of you there and eating. This felt like one of the most normal things that could happen, just a family spending time together.
Penelope was resting close to you with her head on your chest lightly, Spencer was sitting in between JJ and Derek, Aaron was beside Rossi, and Emily was beside JJ.
It seemed as if Jennifer and Emily were together but you didn't want to pry for information even if they were holding hands under the table. Spencer and Derek were wearing the same socks. Okay well not the exact same socks but Derek was wearing socks with the Tenth doctor on it while spencer was wearing the Tardis. It was fairly cute.
Eventually the dreadful time of night where they all needed to get home came. You all said your goodbyes while Penelope stayed by your side. Once they all left she turns to look at you and kisses your cheek. "tonight was really nice. Thank you for letting us keep you busy for a little longer. They all needed to get out and have a bit of normal after this case"
Leaning down to place a kiss to her forehead you nod "its no problem. They were all very lovely, also the two couples who aren't so subtle as they think they are looked like they needed to get out"
She laughs and walks with you to the car "we all know they are together. They just haven't said anything.

Garica x reader - special
Tumblr media
I'm not sure how often I'll allowed to request, but could you do Garcia x reader? Strong minded and gritty reader that only listens to Garcia or if she asks anything of the reader - @fangedreject 💜
Sitting on your desk, you were reading through some of your papers when you felt someone tap your shoulder and you looked up.
“Don’t sit on your desk I’ve told you this.” Hotch sighed.
“My desk, therefore Hotch, my ass may sit wherever it wants.”
He sighed, crossing his arms as he looked at you.
“And it’s not professional.”
“Neither is the fact that I’m wearing a hoodie but here we are boss man, my ass wishes to sit on the desk.”
Hotch just nodded and walked away and you went back to doing what you were doing.
It wasn’t long until you heard someone walking over and you smiled, setting the paper aside.
“Penny.” You smiled.
“You know you’re not supposed to be sat there.” Garcia scolded.
You hummed a little, propping your foot on your chair and you rested your arm on it as you leant forward a little bit.
“Are you telling me to move?” You whispered.
Garica gave you a sweet smile.
“Yes please!”
Putting your foot down, you slid from the desk and put your chair back the way it was supposed to be.
“Thank you my lovely.”
Garica kissed your cheek and you wrapped your arm around her shoulder as you looked at your watch.
“Lunch time, I’m buying let’s go.”
“Oh yay! Can I choose where we go?”
“Of course you can.”
Hotch watched as you and Garica walked away and he turned to everyone else who had just walked into the bullpen.
“How does she do it?” He asked confused.
“Do what?” Rossi asked.
“Get (Y/N) to listen, they don’t listen to anything we say.”
They all looked to where you and Garica had walked and they all shrugged a little bit.
You and Garcia came back, and you set your coffee on the table and turned to look at her, handing her the bag you were holding.
“Your belongings.”
“Thank you (Y/N)!” She chirped.
She kissed your cheek again and started to walking away before she stopped and walked back over.
“Hoodie.”
“Hm, I suppose I can live without it.”
You pulled your hoodie off and handed it over to her and she beamed brightly at you.
“I expect that back Miss Garica, I will be coming for it later.”
“And it’ll be safely stored away in my office!”
With that she walked away again and you sat down, taking a sip from your coffee as you pulled some things over to you.
“Do we have to be sweet to you like that?” Emily asked.
You looked up, kicking your feet up on your desk.
“What?”
“You always do whatever she says. If we kiss your cheek will you do that for us?” Derek smirked.
He walked over and you pointed at him making him stop.
“Try it and I’ll drop you so fast you won’t even know what’s happened or what hear it is Derek Morgan.”
He whistled, raising his hands a little as he took a few steps back away from you.
“What’s the secret, what’s does Garcia have we don’t?” Rossi asked.
The whole team stood around you, and you looked at them idly.
“Maybe it’s something to do with how she’s talks to them?” Reid asked.
“No I’ve tried that, didn’t work and then they took my coffee and drank it all.” JJ said.
You nodded your head as you rested your hands behind your hand.
“Maybe it’s something Garcia does?” Hotch asked.
“Keep guessing, you’ll be there all day. I’ve got a meeting so have fun.”
With that, you grabbed your cup, some files and left them all stood there still trying to figure out how she did it.
Nothing they came up with made any sense, so they decided to go to Garcia and ask her directly how she managed it.
“Why does (Y/N) listen to you?” Emily asked her.
Garcia turned around and looked at everyone stood in the doorway of her office.
“You know I’m not sure, I did once ask but they never told me.”
“Come on babygirl, you can tell us. Please?” Derek grinned.
Garcia shrugged a little.
“Sorry lovely, I really don’t know.”
They kept pestering her, even when she went to get a new drinks they kept asking and she kept telling them she had no idea.
Because she really didn’t.
She had absolutely no idea why you listened to her and not them, why you were so different with her but not them.
“Guys please, I really don’t know.”
You walked into the kitchen and set your files on the table and walked over, taking over making her drink as you grabbed a clean cup to make your own.
“Can you make us a drink?” Rossi asked.
“You’ve got arms make your own.”
You handed Garcia her cup and picked up your own, tapping her forehead with your finger as you grabbed your files.
“There you go angel.”
You turned to the rest of the team and narrowed your eyes at them all.
“Stop pestering her. First and only warning.”
With that you walked away again.
“I don’t get it!” Emily huffed.
They all laughed at her and turned to watch you sit down at your desk and kick your feet up again as you grabbed your phone.
You were a great agent, you were good at what you did, but you really were a mystery to them all and they couldn’t figure you out but they still trusted you with their lives because they know you had their backs.
But they needed to know why Garcia was so special

“Penelope Garcia, knower of all knowledge, and answerer of all asks- what can I do for you today?”
Penelope Garcia was sitting in her batcave, an Earpiece resting in her ear while she spoke. You on the other hand were across the country in a small police precinct in Colorado.
Your feet rested up on a desk, and your back was leaning back in the old office chair. Spencer was across from you, shaking his head at your smirk. He was sat at a desk similar to yours, except his was stacked with books he’d picked up from a local library to help with the case.
Garcia’s classic quip made you chuckle before speaking, “hey glitter girl- I need information on an edward mulligan- and you're on speaker by the way!”. Your intonation went up at then, a teasing lilt to your voice. Spencer only sighed and shook his head.
“your pretty glittery yourself there beautiful, now- edward mulligan looks like this guy has- oh my god..”
The way Penelope said “oh my god” was so rushed that it blended into one single word of surprise, and dread.
“It seems like our guy Edward has been dipping his toes in some naughty videos- and by dipping his toes, I mean diving in head first. I'm talking chat rooms, subscriptions, downloads- the works.”
You sighed, “what kinda naughty stuff we talkin ‘bout pen?”
“Some not so glittery stuff, we're talkin hardcore bondage porn, and many other things I don't want to talk about,”
You could hear the sound of your best friend sighing, the click clacking of keys, and the meows of what could only be kittens. In that order.
“Enjoy the kitten videos pen and get back to me when you've de horrified yourself,” you chuckled as you spoke, practically hearing the smile on Penelope’s face as she hung up.
Spencer, from across the desk chuckled at the well rehearsed banter between you and your best friend.
You smiled back at him, “you know Spencer she I does actually wear body glitter, I got it for her as a birthday gift,” when you spoke Spencer gave a puzzled look.
Then asked, “body.. glitter…?” You laughed lightly at Spencer's lack of knowledge, pulling out your phone to show Spencer a photo example. And text Pen about this new development.
Needless to say your phone rang almost immediately after the text had been sent. “Oh my goodness I can't believe Spencer didn't know- that's so cute!!” Your best friend's voice was up at least 2 octaves in excitement.
You winced at her volume level, pulling the speaker slightly away from your ear. This caused both you and Spencer to laugh out loud at the situation.
“I know right?? He's such a little cutie pie,” you spoke into the speaker, which was now back resting against your ear.
Spencer couldn't help but sigh and shake his head at your nickname. At least they weren't as bad as the nicknames you called Penelope. But they were all in good fun, it was you way of showing you love her, and vice versa.
“Ugh we have to give some to Spencer when we get back, help put it on!” Penelope giggled through the phone.
The End

Everything about it felt off. From the button up that tugged at your neck to the loafers pinching your toes, everything felt unnatural. There was no way you were going to survive this all night, but when the beautiful woman that is Penelope Garcia opened the front door to her apartment, all those uncomfortable feelings floated right away, along with all the breath in your lungs.
Her hair was curled in loose ringlets, cascading down her back. It was like a luscious waterfall of blonde, the tips a frosty blue. What looked to be a vintage wedding dress hugged her in all the right places, detailed with blue lace and pearls that only complemented the rest of her appearance. Her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes were just the icing on the cake. The only thing she was missing was the bouquet of flowers, which you would be happy to provide… when you finally remembered how to speak.
"You look quite dashing yourself," she giggled at your stunned appearance.
You forced yourself up for air, suddenly remembering the bouquet behind your back. "I got you these," you managed, throat still dry. "Derek told me you liked gerbera daisies so I-"
Her face lit up like a child's on Christmas, promptly taking the bouquet from your shaky hands. "You bought me flowers?"
"You couldn't be the Corpse Bride without them," you stammered. With every word you spoke, you just felt like you were embarrassing yourself even more, so instead, you made a mental note to be as quiet as possible, only speaking when necessary.
Penelope shook her head, a blush creeping up her cheeks as she lifted the flowers to her nose. She took in the smell, her content expression and blushing smile finding a way to tug at your heart despite the anxiety coursing through you. "You bought me flowers," she reiterated, her voice raised nearly a whole octave in excitement. "No one has ever done that for me before."
A soft smile pulled at the corners of your mouth. You blew out a nervous breath, your anxiousness seemingly melting away. "Well, they should do it more often."
"Nonsense," she insisted, leaning over to leave a gentle kiss on your cheek. "With you around, I don't want anyone else to even think about giving me flowers."
Your lips brushed softly against her forehead, taking in that familiar aroma and aura of Penelope. She always knew exactly what to say to help calm your nerves and this was no exception. Your previous state of panic was long gone now, replaced by a sense of comfort that you seemed to feel only in her presence.
"You know what, my lovely corpse bride? I like that idea too."

Blackout
Penelope Garcia x Reader
Summary: During a city blackout, a frustrated internet outage leads to an unexpected visit from Penelope Garcia, your tech-savvy neighbour.
Word Count: 1k
The city was plunged into darkness, the only glow coming from the lights of emergency generators and the distant stars in the night sky. You sighed in frustration as they stared at their unresponsive laptop. The internet had gone down, and it seemed like nothing could fix it. After futile attempts to revive their device, you decided to call the internet service provider, hoping for a quick solution.
As you were stuck on hold, the frustration grew. That's when a knock on the door interrupted the monotonous hold music. Opening it, you found Penelope standing in the hallway, looking both worried and excited.
"Hey! I heard you were having internet trouble too. Mind if I come in? Maybe we can figure this out together," Penelope said, already slipping past you and into the apartment.
You couldn't help but smile at Penelope's boldness. "Sure, come on in. I've been on hold with the company forever. Maybe you'll have better luck getting through."
As Penelope entered, she took a quick glance around the dimly lit apartment. "Nice place you've got here. A bit lonely without the internet, though."
You chuckled, "Tell me about it. I was in the middle of something important when everything crashed.
With Penelope's help, they attempted to troubleshoot the internet issue, but it soon became evident that the problem was beyond their control. Penelope, however, seemed unusually nervous, avoiding eye contact and fidgeting with her phone.
"Is everything okay?" You asked, sensing that something was off.
Penelope took a deep breath and confessed, "Okay, so, this might be my fault. I was working on a little project, and I may have accidentally caused a minor blackout in the neighbourhood."
Your eyes widened in surprise. "You caused this blackout?"
Penelope nodded sheepishly. "Yeah, I was experimenting with some tech stuff, and things got a bit out of hand. I'm really sorry."
You couldn't help but chuckle at the unexpected turn of events. "Well, it's certainly one way to meet the neighbours."
As you and Penelope sat in the dimly lit apartment, the conversation between you flowed effortlessly. You shared stories and laughter and discovered common interests that made the blackout seem like a stroke of luck rather than an inconvenience. The initial awkwardness dissolved, replaced by a genuine connection that neither of them expected.
Penelope couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and comfort in your company. She had liked you from afar for quite some time, and now, fate had brought them together in the most unexpected way. You, too, found Penelope's quirky charm and enthusiasm contagious, making the blackout feel more like an opportunity for connection than a technological disaster.
As they continued talking, Penelope couldn't shake off the nervous energy that had been building up inside her. She glanced at you, wondering if now was the right time to express what she had been contemplating.
"You know," Penelope started, her voice a mix of playfulness and sincerity, "despite the chaos and the darkness, spending time with you has been the highlight of this blackout. It's like the universe decided to play matchmaker tonight."
You smiled, feeling a warmth spread through them. "I have to agree. Who would've thought a power outage would lead to such an interesting evening?"
Penelope chuckled, her eyes meeting yours. "Well, sometimes the best connections happen when you least expect them. And speaking of connections," she paused, taking a deep breath, "I was wondering if maybe, once the power is back and everything is back to normal, you'd want to go out on a date with me?"
Your heart skipped a beat at the unexpected but welcomed proposition. "I'd love that," you replied, unable to hide the excitement in their voice.
Penelope grinned, a mix of relief and happiness evident in her expression. "Great! I promise the next time we meet, it won't involve accidental blackouts. How about we make it dinner? Just the two of us."
You nodded, feeling a surge of anticipation. "Sounds perfect. I can't wait."
As Penelope got up to leave, she turned to you with a playful glint in her eyes. "It's a date then. And who knows, maybe we'll have a good laugh about this blackout when we look back on it."
You walked her to the door, and with a warm smile, Penelope said, "Until then, stay out of tech experiments gone wrong, okay?"
You chuckled, "Deal. Looking forward to our date, Penelope."
And with that, Penelope walked out into the dark hallway, leaving you with a sense of excitement and anticipation for the unexpected but promising connection that had formed during a blackout.
A/N: Thank you for reading ◡̈

No but Penelope with a s/o who is crafty would make THE Power Couple!
She loves how you customize your clothes, and would let you retouch any piece of clothing she has! Soon enough, most of her dresses and cardigans are filled with random pretty buttons, colourful laces, thrifted patches, bows... You always make sure to keep her original style in mind when you alter her clothes, and she is delighted everytime she notices something new <3
If you can crochet, knit or sew, make her a case for her portable computer and she will thank you for days! A pretty purple case covered in patterns, with a neatly stitched "Penelope" on the front, will have her gushing about you to her coworkers for days .
Depending on your relationship to her colleagues, they sometimes get gifts as well. Spencer is in love with the matching embroidered Doctor Who wallets you made for Penelope and him, and you made an impressive number of baby blankets for the team. Derek also never goes out without his personalized mug, the one with a nasty joke at the bottom of the recipient, that only him can read.
Penelope also uses her computer skills to find you the coolest deals online. If there's a buttons sale, or woodburning tools given by an old lady, you're the first one to know. Sometimes, she also buys them for you as a random gift, because she loves treating you to nice things too <333
She is an amazing crocheter, and you can both spend hours on end chatting and making things! You're often secretely making things for the other, lying about your current project to keep the surprise.
The whole crew behave like little crows with you. They bring you back fallen buttons they found on the ground, needles and thread their older family member gave them, shiny rocks in case you would want to paint them... Her coworkers are like family to Penelope, and your family in law definitely loves you! They would try their best to share skills with you, and it was Spencer who taught you to knit and Rossi who taught you how to make pasta! In exchange, you taught Rossi how to make a shiny ring, and Spencer now knows how to do embroidery <33
At the end of the day, Penelope is so glad to have found someone like you, who is just as creative as her, and who loves her for all of her quirks ♡

penelope garcia x stud!reader
jus reader and penelope. brief encounter with unnamed florist. brief mention of kevin.
After not having been able to spend quality time with your girlfriend for two weeks, you plan something special to remind her of what she means to you.
Pure Fluff
Established relationship. Mentions of lust and arousal, hints of future smut. Vague mentions of insecurity. No use of Y/N.
2.1k WORDS
Tumblr media
You haven't seen your girlfriend, Penelope, for two weeks. Not really. Sure, the two of you shared a bed, but you guys never got home around the same time. Especially not with both of your jobs being kind of hectic right now. When you got home sometimes, Penelope was already soundly asleep. When you woke, she was already gone. Then, there were times where that pattern was reversed, but it all just depended on what was going on at you guys' respective jobs. That said, you two had been in this share a bed only space for a little over a month now, and it was really starting to drive you both crazy.
Things had calmed down at your job a bit. You guys had wrapped up a big project a few days ago, and the post-project chaotic buzz was finally starting to wear off. Penelope had texted you today, informing you that her team had just wrapped their latest case, and that there was a chance she could be home by seven tonight. That was when the gears in your head begin to turn.
Able to leave work early, you had headed straight to the grocery store, bought all the ingredients for her favorite dinner. Now, you were at a flower shop. There was this surprise arrangement that she liked that you did for her. It always consisted of her favorite flower being dominating with other pretty, unfamiliar flowers sprinkled in. She liked to look up the meaning of the flowers later.
"Excuse me, I need flowers," you says and the woman gives you a smile that politely says obviously, and you continue for clarification, "My bad. What I mean is, I need a bouquet that tells a specific emotional story, conveys a message, really."
"Mkay," the woman nods, "And, what would you like your flowers to say?"
"I love you, I've missed you. It's an honor to be with you. I'm so proud of you and the work you do," you say with ease. Never is it hard to pinpoint of verbalize your feelings for your girlfriend. Maybe in the beginning, but after four years, you've gotten more attached to your own emotions and thus, more expressive. "Um, just a giant thank you for being who she is, and for choosing me, choosing us every day, and throw in a good chunk of daffodils because those are her favorites. I also want it to be as colorful as she is, really bright and beautiful."
"Love, longing, pride and admiration and gratitude," she murmurs to herself as she writes in a little notepad. She looks back up at you, "And, as bright, beautiful and colorful as she is, and who is the she in question, for reference?"
Your eyes light up as you pull out your phone. It's easy enough to find a photo of her. Penelope is both your lockscreen and your phone screen, and she happens to take up about 75% percent of your camera roll. You show her a slew of photos, finding yourself sharing the memories behind each. God, did you miss actually spending time with her.
"Beautiful smile," the worker compliments your girlfriend as you pull your phone away.
"I know, huh?" And, your smile is gleaming with pride. She finds it cute, how in love you are. She takes you around the store then. Showing you various flowers that fit all of your requirments. It's hard to choose, to narrow it down. Before you've realized it, your bouquet has turned into an arrangement. But, it's fine. More money than you had anticipated spending, but you want to make her melt when she gets home tonight, and money is but a small sacrifice.
You head straight home afterward. It's difficult, sometimes, to pinpoint when Penelope will be home. The romantic dinner set up has to be done before then, so there's no room in your time schedule to make any other stops. When you get home, you jump straight into the set up, wanting everything to be absolutely perfect for when Penelope comes home.
Which doesn't happen. You're only about a quarter of the way finished with your meal by the time she gets home, but you did set up. So, when she walks through the door of you guys' home, you hear a delighted squeal of awe at how beautiful everything looked. Turning the stove down, you dash out of the kitchen, shouting in a frantic dismay, pleading for her to close her eyes and cover them. When you reach her, her eyes are still open and she's got the most adorable confused expression on her face.
"My surprise," you say, covering her eyes for her as you begin to guide her to you guys' bedroom, "for you is incomplete, and I don't want you to see anything else until I am completely ready so you can't be up here," you inform her, nudging the bedroom door open with your foot. When you've guided her to the bed, you gently push her down. You grab a pin. "Look into the pen."
She giggles, "I'm looking." You click the pen, and playing along, she blinks, mimicking confusion rather well minus the smile in her eyes. "Where am I? How did I get here?" She asks, unable to stop her giggles from escaping her yet again. You smile, loving her a little bit more now for having played along with your mind wiping pen, Men in Black reference without so much as a second thought. You really didn't think it was possible for you to have a better girlfriend.
You lean down and kiss her before dashing out of the room. "I'll come back for you when everything is ready!"
She swoons, watching you sprint back to the front. You were quite possible the sweetest person she's ever known. If not that, you were definitely the sweetest, most kind person she had ever dated. If you were going to go out of your way to surprise her, she would do a little something to surprise you as well. While you work on your preparations, she pulls out your favorite dress of hers. She showers her day away before slipping into it and redoing her hair and make up, wearing your favorite piece of lingrie underneath. She didn't know what you had in store, but she wanted you to fall to your knees the next time you saw her.
After some time, you finished up cooking the meal. Taking your time, you were so careful how you set the table, about making sure you set out the forks and such the correct way. It was never something you personally remembered; you'd had to google. Penelope wouldn't be able to tell, either. If the placements were correct or not. but every time you guys had ever gone to one of those fancy restaraunts that care about placements like that, she always got excited about how nice everything was. She always commented on the silverware, and it was always so precious to you. So, yeah, you made sure to get it right. You were also extremely careful about the presentation of the food as you fix you guys' plates. She liked to take pictures so you wanted it to be picture perfect. When you were satisfied with your efforts, you make good on your promise to go back and get her.
Upon opening your bedroom door, you see Penelope, examining herself in the mirror, wearing that dress that makes your knees go weak. The one that's in your favorite color, the one that hugs her curves and highlights the beauty of her shape in the most heavenly of ways. The one that does absolute wonders for her cleavage. The one that makes you damn near drool, makes you want to drop to your knees and have a different kind of meal. As your eyes trail back upward to meet her eyes, you find her smirking at the unabashed lust in your eyes. You pull yourself together. You want tonight to be so much more than just about sexual intimacy, and you had put so much energy into preparing everything to give her a full experience. You've waited weeks. You could a bit longer. You clench your jaw and clear your throat.
Extending your arm for her to take, "M'lady, your dinner awaits."
Coming forward to you, she takes your hand and kisses your cheek. Continuing to hold her hand, you wrap free arm around her waist and start to guide her down the hall. Eyes uncovered this time, she gasps in wonderment at the bright, white Christmas lights you've hung in arches in the hall way. She loves the face that she's walking on rose petals, even if they are fake ones. She swoons at how you've turned the entire apartment into a romantic wonderland on a random weekday, for no reason at all. The more she takes it all in, the more anxious she finds herself to repay you later on tonight. Reaching the kitchen, the first thing she sees is the arrangement you had made acting as a centerpiece.
She squeezes your hand, "Oh my God," she gushes, "They're so lucious and so so beautiful!"
You feel your heart flutter in your chest at the sound of her joy. Buying her flowers and plants was a big thing for you. You always stressed over it so much because you knew how much she valued plant life and pretty things. You'd yet to gift her a plant, bouquet or flower arrangement that she didn't like, but a part of you still held your breath until she saw it every time.
"I have a card of the names of all the flowers in the arrangement on it." You tell her and she looks at you with the softest eyes. "I know how you like to look up the meanings for yourself later." You add, as the two of you get closer to the table. When you guys are close enough, you let her go so you can pull out her chair. as your doing this, she leans in to smell the arrangement. With her chair pulled out, you help her sit before pushing her chair back in, pouring her a glass of wine before doing the same for yourself at taking your seat.
"Ooh!" she exclaims, "How fancy!" And you smile, not even having to look at her to know she's referencing the silverware placements. "And, dinner smells amazing, baby, thank you."
You shrug, downplaying your efforts, "I just wanted to do a little somethin' for you."
"A little something?" She asks, eyebrows raised, giggling, "Baby, you've turned our home into a five star dining experience." She notes, squinting just a little, "What is all this?"
"Nothing really," you answer, "I've just missed you a lot, and I wanted to do something for you."
Penelope all but melts in her chair. She doesn't think she'll ever say it outloud, because she's ashamed of the thought, but for a while, she thought Kevin was as good as she was ever going to get. Even after they broke up. But, then, she met you, and sometimes, she still feels like you aren't really.
"Where did you come from?"
"I materialized from your sweetest dreams," is your answer with a grin.
She snorts, playfully, "I couldn't have imagined you if I tried. You, my love, are more magical than unicorns."
Your smile widens, "I think that might be the nicest thing you've ever said to me."
The two of you start in on your meal after that, and she moans at the first bite. You guys talk, really talk for the first time in two weeks, catching up on all things new. You talk about work, but not about any of the dark or boring parts, no. You two keep it light, tell each other about the new gossip updates in your respective offices. You've missed this more than you had realized. For a brief moment, your heartbreaks a little for people who don't get to experience what you two share.
"You know," she says with a light air of casualness, "I have a surprise for you of my own tonight." And, the implication is clear. It hangs heavy in the air as you resort to speechlessness in favor of sputtering your words. Penelope knew exactly what to do to make your brain melt out of your head, to take every bit of intellect in you and wash it away. That statement, in that dress, it takes all your effort to get through dinner. It's hard to focus on anything with your boxers becoming more increasingly soaked in anticipation of what she had in store for you later.

PROMPTOBER REQUEST #2
Pairing: Penelope Garcia/Reader Category: Hurt/Comfort Warnings: Mentions of kidnapping, therapy, food
For those few days you were gone, it was as though the world had flipped on its axis. So, when Penelope got you back, she was ready to do everything in her power to make sure you got back on your feet.
Currently, she was caressing your hands, running the damp washcloth over your arms as you sat in the tub. Part of you didn’t love feeling like you needed to be taken care of, but right now you were immensely grateful for it. You tried to keep a steely exterior, avoid your mind replaying the events of the last few days. Not everyone could do so after being kidnapped by a serial killer, but you weren’t most people. You could do this. Just…slowly.
“Is touch okay?” Penelope asked. You hesitated, stiffening. “It’s okay if you need some time.” Her reassurances softened you.
You blew out an exhale, watched it lightly ripple across the surface of the water. “I think if you were to hold me, I would break down, and I don’t really want to do that yet,” you whispered. “So, this is fine, but nothing more. If that’s…alright?” Penelope continued dragging the soft cloth down your back, silent for a beat.
“It’s alright,” she affirmed. “You went through a trauma. It’s okay to feel it.”
You huffed a dry laugh. “I know, but…not yet. I’m just glad I’m home.” Penelope smiled, a small thing, as she scooped some water to trickle down your shoulders and wash the soap away.
“Me, too.”
That first night was both the easiest and the hardest. Penelope didn’t hold you, no matter how badly she wanted to, but she tangled your legs together under the sheets. So you’d still be entwined. She didn’t really know how to sleep without your touch at this point. And you were grateful for her presence, solid and grounding throughout the night.
From there, it was all about the little things.
“Can you leave the lights on?” You had asked when you first got back and every night since. You didn’t need to ask anymore, Penelope knew what to do, but you were still hoping that one of these days you wouldn’t have to say anything. That darkness wouldn’t feel so suffocating.
“Oh, of course, sweet pea,” Penelope said tonight, settling into bed without so much as a glance at the light switch. “Whatever you need. Really.”
You scooted under the covers, sighing. “I thought I could do it tonight.” Penelope pulled the blankets over you both, keeping you safe in a cocoon of your own creation.
“You can do anything. Leaving the lights on doesn’t change that. I’m just glad you’re here.” She leaned over and pressed a kiss to the top of your head, and you felt yourself relax into the motion. Let the warmth radiating from her lull you into a sleep that would still be plagued by nightmares, but perhaps just a little less tonight. You didn’t want to talk about it, anyway.
And that’s how it went for a while. Penelope had experience both from work and her volunteering with victims’ families in her free time to know exactly what to say to make you feel better. So she was supporting you the best she could to help you acclimate to a new routine while you were trying desperately to feel normal again. But things weren’t normal. You’d been through a trauma and it was impacting nearly every aspect of your daily life.
Two weeks after the kidnapping and two days after you felt like you could maybe sleep with the lights off (just a small lamp in the corner!), Penelope woke you with the gentle suggestion—Breakfast? You noted her side of the bed, messy and unmade, but cold. It was rare that she started her day without you, but you nodded, followed her out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, an enticing aroma getting stronger with every step.
“Routines are very important to me. I figured getting you into a routine might help you ease back into things. Give you some things to do without overwhelming you,” Penelope explained as the two of you reached the countertop, handing you a warm drink in your favorite mug. “Breakfast is the first step. That doesn’t mean you have to make it yourself all the time, though.” You took it, gave it a sip. Tea. It was sweet.
“You don’t have to do all of this. Just the fact that you’ve stayed with me through everything has been enough.” You lifted the mug back up to your lips as Penelope stilled, hands paused above the bowl on the counter.
“I would never leave you like that, Y/N,” Penelope stated, tone ever-so serious. She held eye contact with you for a beat and then went back to stirring the batter before her. She must have made that while you were still asleep. “Besides, I’m not doing this out of some obligation. I want to do this. I want to make sure you’re okay. And part of that involves making my world-famous cinnamon pancakes.”
Penelope’s words melted a bit of the cool exterior you’d built around yourself since the kidnapping. Bit by bit she’d melt it away, in a flash flame of such love and care that you couldn’t bring yourself to mind. “World-famous, huh?” You found yourself smiling. Penelope nodded. “Well, I guess you could continue helping out.”
She poured the batter into a pan on the stove, picking up a spatula and pointing it at you. “Remember your meeting with the appointed therapist at—”
“At two. I remember. Thank you,” you said.
“We’ll go home after work at six if all goes well, and we can order your favorite takeout and maybe watch a movie? Whatever you want.”
“Thank you,” you said again, sincere, as you placed a hand over Penelope’s. It hadn’t been comfortable at first. The routines. The detailing out every step of every day. It felt suffocating and condescending and impossible. But you’d since found comfort in it. In Penelope. If you could just stick with the routines, everything would be okay. Penelope would make sure of it.
Penelope couldn’t keep the bad days away, though.
Your first day back had a few hiccups. It was strange to be back, like you were different somehow. Unpacking everything that happened to you with the therapist certainly didn’t help that feeling, necessary as it was. Afterwards, you felt incredibly uneasy. As though a strong wind might knock down your cool exterior and force you to fall apart. At the end of the day, you couldn’t bring yourself to speak during the car ride home with Penelope. You had underestimated how hard it would all be. Penelope didn’t push, though.
“Are you still up for a movie and takeout?” She asked as she pulled into the garage for your building. You nodded, mouth closed in a tight line, trying to keep all the sour feelings from bubbling out.
She stopped in the living room, turned to face you. “Are you okay? You’ve been quiet this whole time. I don’t want to push, but I’m worried about you.”
You picked at the edge of the countertop, avoiding her gaze before sighing. “Today was hard,” you mumbled. Penelope’s face softened instantly as she stepped towards you.
“Oh, sweet pea, I’m sorry. Do you want to talk about it?”
“A little,” you resigned. Penelope’s hand reached for yours, and you took it. Grounded yourself in the feeling. Physical touch hadn’t been a priority since you’ve been back. But in this moment, it felt monumental.
“Do you want me to hold you?” She asked, hesitant. You mulled it over, unable to deny what you were feeling. You needed support. You needed to lean on Penelope. Damnit, you wanted to be held.
“…Yes.”
Arms wrapped around you before the word even finished, stunning you into silence. That familiar weight surrounding you flooded you with warmth, releasing all the pent-up emotions the day had brought with it. You sighed, shaky, fighting back the tears. Penelope rubbed your back as she spoke.
“You know, this isn’t the end of the world. Today it’s hard, but maybe tomorrow it will be a little easier. And every day it’ll get a little easier. Or maybe a little harder, like a wave. But ultimately, you’ll be okay. We’ll get you into a routine, and you’ll have your therapy sessions, and they’ll suck but they’ll help. And I’ll be with you every step of the way.”
You tightened your arms around her waist as you let the words wash over you. A few tears ran down your cheeks and you burrowed your face into Penelope’s shoulder. You took a deep breath, relaxing further into the hug as you exhaled.
You weren’t sure how long the two of you stood there like that. But eventually, you did start to feel a little better. Penelope was with you, even in times like these. And now you could continue with your night, even if it wasn’t going as planned. Your world wasn’t ending, it was just a little different now.
“Can we get that takeout now? I promise I’ll talk to you about everything that’s going on.”
Penelope laughed, pressed a kiss to your temple. “Yes, we can order food now.”
And so you told Penelope about your day, the good, the bad, the small successes, and the things that felt like huge failures. And she didn’t judge you for any of it. She sat with you, listened, and affirmed what you were feeling. By the time the sun had set and plates were emptied, it was as though a little bit of the weight had been lifted from your shoulders. You still had plenty to work through, but today had shown you that it was doable. You would survive this. Penelope by your side.
“Cinnamon pancakes again tomorrow?” Penelope had asked after you two had gotten ready for bed. You looked at her from your spot on the bed. She hovered her hand over the light switch, waiting for your confirmation before she turned out the lights. You took a deep breath and nodded. As you switched on the bedside lamp, Penelope shut off the main lights, enclosing the room in near-darkness, just a warm glow from your left illuminating her features. You shut your eyes, focused on your breath. Penelope laced her fingers through yours and you smiled. You would be alright. Eventually. In the meanwhile, you still had Penelope and her magical pancakes. You opened your eyes, facing Penelope head on.
“Yes, please.”

Love language
Penelope Garcia is the love of my life. We are married and that is that. I think her love languages would be gift giving, and acts of service. I think that words of affirmation would definitely be high on the list but not the top of the list. Argue with the wall babes.
Gift giving(receiving): Penelope would love gifts. You get her little knickknacks for her desk, shoes, hair accessories, or even beads to decorate her apartment or make friendship bracelets. I really don’t have anything to back this up other than my kick-ass profiling skills.
Acts of services(giving): Penelope loves doing little, or big, things to show her love to anyone and everyone. Penelope would do little things, make you coffee or tea, back rubs after hard days. Bigger things like stealing recipes from Rossi and making you an entire dinner, or cleaning your room or car. In the episode where Derek and Kevin(🤮) are talking about Kevin proposing, Derek walks into the round table room and Penelope hands him a coffee. It’s so subtle but it was so adorable.

nicknames | S.R.
Tumblr media
in which you meet the team for the first time, and receive your first nickname
who? spencer reid x fem!BAU!reader
category: fluff
content warnings: reader is referred to as a girl. i have this headcanon where when reid's IQ gets slashed to 60, he'd get so distracted that he'd run on autopilot, hence the willingness to handshake.
word count: 591
a/n: happy finals szn! this fic has been rotting in my brain for weeks and i finally decided to flesh it out. and maybe you should like and reblog this if you enjoy it (no pressure tho)
Tumblr media
You were still filtering through your entry paperwork when the rest of the team filtered into the bullpen. David Rossi, who had helped you land this job in the first place, nodded in your direction before disappearing into his office. “Hey!” Someone called from across the bullpen, “Y/N, right?” Emily asked, setting her go bag in the chair at her desk before making her way over to your desk.
Smiling in response, “It’s nice to finally meet you,” you responded, reaching your hand out for her to shake. It was nice to be in the BAU, complete with a promotion from Special Agent to Supervisory Special Agent.
JJ walked over next, waving, and introducing herself as the communications liaison. “I’ve heard a lot of great things from your old CARD team,” she said, “I’m sure your skillset will come in handy here.”
You nodded in affirmation, “That’s the hope!” You answered, smiling at the prospect of your old team singing your praises.
Next, Derek approached, reaching out his hand for you to shake. Of course, you obliged and grinned at him. Part of you felt like you were meeting celebrities, the BAU was a big deal in the bureau. “Derek Morgan,” he introduced himself, “How long were you with CARD?”
“Five years,” you responded, it was a long time for anyone to deal solely with child abduction, but your team had the best rate in the bureau. Besides, you found the work rewarding.
Morgan’s eyebrows raised in surprise, “that’s impressive.”
You nodded, “Thank you. I’m really looking forward to working with you all.”
JJ looked behind her, “Oh, have you met Garcia?” She asked, peeking around the corner to where the technical analyst's office was.
Glancing down at the cat-shaped stress toy that she had given you when you arrived this morning, you smiled, “Yes, she was the first to greet me this morning. I think I’m just missing Dr. Reid.”
As if on cue, the young doctor walked into the bullpen, he had a worn leather satchel over his shoulder and looked like he might be talking to himself, “Reid!” Emily called over, getting his attention, and causing him to change course, approaching your desk. “Come meet, Y/N.”
He adjusted the strap of his satchel over his sweater before you reached out your hand for him to shake. “Oh, he doesn’t…” JJ began, but her voice trailed off when Dr. Reid shook your hand.
“It’s very nice to meet you, Dr. Reid,” you said, smiling at him. It felt good to know you had finally met the entire team.
He gave a close-lipped smile in return, “Reid is fine, or Spencer.” He said as you each dropped your hands to your sides.
Noticing everyone looking back and forth between the two of you as if you had already managed to do something wrong, you gathered all of your paperwork in your hands, “I should get this to Hotch.”
The rest of the team got the message and started to disperse to their respective desks, Reid’s being adjacent to yours. “Welcome to the team, pretty girl,” Morgan said to you before turning to his own paperwork.
You hugged your paperwork to your chest as if you were protecting it. Quietly, you muttered, “I really hope that nickname doesn’t stick.”
Across from you, there was a short laugh, almost a scoff. “It will,” Spencer responded in the same reverent tone. For a second, you thought it might be a joke, but you could tell by his facial expression that he was serious.
