life updates and a long awaited face reveal <3

hi my loves. it’s been a long long time. i miss you all so much. the friendships i’ve made on here, the stories, everything. i’ve been so back and forth on here, saying i’ll start writing again and blah blah. so just to explain why i’ve been gone so many times, i’m going to give you all a semi-quick update/summary.

first of all, whether you know me or not… hi, i’m kelly! i’m eighteen, almost nineteen (may second is my birthday) and this is me :)

been pretty occupied with going to work and school part-time. and finally having friends, whom i’m still trying to keep in touch with and spend time with. all while still trying to take care of myself. i’m finally and fortunately on anti-depressants and going to therapy now so yay! lots of ups and downs, a lot more ups now. so again, yay. one thing i've definitely learned so far, is that getting back into the groove of things takes time and that i shouldn't try to go back to being my old self. i should focus on growing, flourishing, and becoming myself again, a different but the same self. anyway, one of the things i would love to get back into is writing. so if any of you would like to help, by all means, whether it’s reaching out, sending me your own work to read or help out with, requesting or giving ideas, please. i’d love it. i miss you all. i miss it here. i miss the beautiful works and creators. i promise i promise i’ll be more consistent. because i want to be back, i want to write again.

the two of you would be standing around with the rest of your friends and family

sparkling non-alcoholic drinks in hand and racing hearts beneath your clothes

you both had this underlying feeling for the past couple of weeks that either of you was finally going to make a move

now that it was new year’s eve, notoriously known for loved ones to share a kiss, the anticipation was killing you and peter

“crazy, huh,” you decide to speak up and gaze over at him

him in his simple geeky graphic tee that seemed a bit tighter than usual and his straight jeans

such a basic outfit of his yet it never failed to make you swoon

the excessive new year’s eve accessories around his neck and on his head brought a smile to your face

when he looks back to find you smiling at him, he couldn’t help but feel flustered

he exhales briefly and nods, “yep. definitely. couple of minutes left, right?”

the two of you make eye contact after checking the time and laugh at your synchronization

“yeah, ready?” you respond and hold up your glass

“actually, uhm. may i?” he asks and holds out his hand toward your glass

there’s about a minute left on the clock

“oh? sure, i guess,” you hand it to him, genuinely confused as to why he wanted your glass

until he answered your curiosity as he placed yours and his drink down

“c-can i kiss you? when the ball drops?” he manages to get the bold request out of his system as he motions to the tv

your eyes widen at his question and sudden change of demeanor

you feel your blood rush to your cheeks almost instantly and your stomach twist with excitement

you nod slowly, subconsciously taking a step toward him. “yes…”

“yes? as in yes, i can kiss you in literally thirty seconds?” he blurts out and places his hands on your waist

you let out a soft laugh that sounds like music to his ears and nod once again. “yes, stupid,” you murmur and wrap your arms around his neck

an explanation

okay so I know I like randomly disappeared last year and now I’m showing up again out of the blue but seeing as a bunch of people just followed me (and yay for that) I think it’s best I give a bit of an explanation and what’s been going on since I got deleted last year lol

tumblr deleted my account around summer of 2020 I think it was. I tried to get it back and obviously, it didn’t work - especially considering now my old url (pparkerwrites) seems to be taken by a sales bot? anyway

I stayed on wattpad! that was where I started anyway, and I didn’t feel like reposting all of my fics on here again because it was a lot of work. summer of 2020 was a major mess for me and a lot of us, so I just didn’t find the energy to try again. and sadly, I lost the sense of community that I felt on here, and I’ve been missing that a lot. hence me showing up randomly on a wednesday night lmao

anyway - thanks to everyone who reblogged my post and helped me find some of my old friends! I want to make it clear that I am planning on reposting a lot of my fics on here, and also the new ones that I’ve written on wattpad since I’ve been gone. I’ve written a lottttt more since the last time I was here

I’m looking forward to getting back on here and meeting some new people too :) I’ve really missed the fic community on here and can’t wait to get involved again! <3

updates for 12/19

hello everyone! I’m ending my hiatus early so I’m sort of back now, but I still have my ongoing queue for old fics to be posted, so there will still be a set time of 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM PST for fics to be posted

also, if you want to be added to my taglist, feel free to dm me or send me an ask! I’m going to respond to them privately as I’ve been getting a couple already and don’t want to spam the feed lol.

I’ve been getting a couple asks regarding no way home, and I won’t be posting them until it’s been a decent amount of time since the movie came out. don’t want anyone to accidentally get spoiled! if you’re concerned/curious about how I will be going about continuations for fics or new fics when it comes to the nwh storyline, check out my wattpad where I posted an announcement about it (link is in my bio or on my page!) be wary of spoilers possibly on there and in the comments!

i also just wanted to say thanks to everyone for being so great in my return to tumblr - the love on my fics, from both old and new readers, has been amazing and so kind. I’m excited to start posting new stuff on here once all of this reposting is out of the way!

in regards to links, I’ll be getting everything up to date today. I have a day off and without school to worry about for the time being, I have lots of time for updating the links! I’ll also have more time to keep them updated as they’re posted, I’m hoping. after the holidays I’ll be back at work so it’ll be a little iffy, but I’ll do my best!

hope you guys are all having a nice winter break (if you’re getting one) and are enjoying no way home! I’m seeing it sometime this week and I’m super excited :)
