Based off headcanons i wrote

There was one thing that you have yet to mention to Pico, and that was the fact that you were a pop star. You hadn’t told him yet, as you were afraid of how he would react. Besides, you wanted to have a sense of normalcy when it came to dating, and without telling him your little secret, everything was fine and normal.

“I’ll be back later this evening, Pico.” You called out to your boyfriend, who was currently on the couch, watching you leave.

“Alright, just… stay safe out there.”

“I will, don’t worry.” You smiled faintly and went over to him, kissed his cheek, and walked out the house, closing the door behind you before making your way to your destination: the arena nearby, which was fortunately going to be inside. As much as you like outside concerts, you would prefer indoors as you’re not exposed to the elements such as the wind.

Once inside, you made your way to the stage, as everything was already set up for you beforehand. You didn’t mind helping if it wasn’t, though.

“Alright, let’s do this.” You said, hyping yourself up as you walked up the stairs to the stage, a smile on your face as you walked up to the microphone before picking it up, the crowd cheering before you can even get a word out. The music started to play and you got ready to start the first song.

What you didn’t know, however, was after you had left, Pico had gotten a call for a new job, which was at the nearby arena. The same arena you were performing at, but he had no idea about that. He just took the job per usual and got himself ready before heading out. As Pico got closer to the arena, he could hear music playing rather loudly, which would be perfect.

“Alright, let’s get this over with.” He mumbled as he slipped inside. As he made his way through the inside of the arena, he started hearing a familiar voice. As he started walking past the main area, he stopped as he looked at the stage.

“Holy shit, is that Y/n?” Pico asked himself, looking towards the stage, squinting a bit as if to get a better look. It was then he realized that yes, it was indeed you! “It really is them.” He was rather shocked as he thought about one thing: you’re a pop star. He is your boyfriend. He’s been dating a pop star all this time, and he had no idea until now.

“Well that’s certainly a surprise.” He chuckled a bit to himself, finding himself unable to finish the job. While you were aware of what he did, he didn’t want to scare you off or upset you, as his job involved killing one of the backstage staff. So instead, he just decided to chill in the crowd listening to you sing. He actually really liked your singing, you sounded really good!

After the concert was over, and you were packing up to leave, you felt a tap on your shoulder, which made you turn around to find Pico behind you.

“Wha-? Pico? What are you doing here?” You were more surprised than anything to see him here. Pico wasn’t going to tell you the real reason he was here, so he quickly made something up,

“Oh, i just happened to be nearby and i heard the music, so here i am.”

“I see. I’m not mad or anything, just genuinely surprised.”

“Yeah, so am i. You’re a pop star, and you’ve never told me.”

“Yeah… I’m sorry about that, i just… wanted a sense of normalcy when it came to dating, and because you didn’t know, it made things simple for me, for us.”

“Y/n.” Pico took your hand into his own. “Did you really think that I would anything stupid or crazy just because i knew about what you do?”

“Well… no. I was going to tell you eventually but i just… never got around to it.”

“It’s alright, these things happen.” You smiled softly and pulled him into a hug, which had caught him off guard, but he hugged you in return. He was right. While you may not have to tell each other everything, as long as you communicate well with each other, you would be happy and okay.

“You’re right. Again, I’m sorry for not telling you sooner.”

“It’s fine, really. I love you for you, Y/n. Pop Star or not, i would still love you.”

“Thank you, Pico, i really do appreciate that, and i love you too.” You kissed his cheek.

“Now come on, let’s get home and, i dunno, have some dinner and find something to watch?”

“Sounds like a plan to me.” You smiled faintly and with Pico’s help, you packed up the rest of your things, and made your way back home.

I wake up so I can hear it.” You take a deep breath, a deep exhale, not wanting to tear up. How long has it been, only for him now to admit it? To confess he’s comfortable, with you. You, who you wonder if he’d catch a stray bullet for. Well, you know the answer now, there’s no point in wondering. “Are you okay?”

“I feel amazing. I just, uhm, I’d like to feel yours then.”

- When it comes wanting to either smoke or drink I feel like he’s more of a smoker than a drinker. Not that he doesn’t drink it’s just that if you gave him the option to either smoke a joint or jug down some vodka he’s choosing the first option. Plus as I mentioned in my previous fic about him he canonically smokes and ‘chokes down in large quantities’ (that’s what phantom arcade said) so it kind of makes sense. Also I like to think he absolutely hates hangovers. Minor or severe he just can’t handle them. Having a massive headache, throwing up what you had the previous night, every part of your body aching. He hates it. He dealt with worse shit and he was able to handle that but not this. So he would rather smoke to avoid that.

- Again like in my previous fic of him he literally just calls you up and asks if you want to smoke or drink. Sometimes he doesn't bother calling you, he just shows up. Like one minute you're alone then you hear your doorknob rustle before Pico just bursts in with either weed or alcohol in hand saying he wants to hang out. Obviously you agreed because one he was already here and two you had nothing better to do so you just agreed.

- Now for what he’s like when he’s high:

- I feel like it might take a little bit for him to get high. Only because he’s been somewhat consistent with it back in Pico School. I also think it depends on what type of drugs he’s using. He prefers to use at least a few blunts compared to other things like edibles. Not that he doesn’t like it, he does. He likes to see how he can put weed in his food but for him at least it takes longer to hit. He wants it to hit as soon as possible. I think this mostly stems from him trying to calm himself down especially after what happened back at school.

- I bet Pico would be the type of person to just zone out while high with a shit eating grin on his face. The smallest things make him laugh. Like I said, the reason why he gets high is because he needs to destress so the whole point is that he’s getting to that relaxation point and not an anxious point. He just zones out. The type of conversations the two of you have while high is very questionable but the two of you don’t do anything about it.

- You don’t really do anything else when both you and him are smoking. Mostly just watch whatever the hell is on tv and munching on some shit completely tripping on whatever the two of you took.

- As for when he gets drunk:

- As I said before he prefers to get high then drunk so you don’t really see him get drunk often but he does do it. I feel like he’s kind of a heavy weight despite not drinking often. I feel like he doesn't like sweet drinks/cocktails. I just don’t see him drinking anything sweet. He just downs alcohols like vodka.

- I don’t why but I’d like to think he’d be an emotional drunk. Why? Because it’s funny or me just being delusional. Seeing him and his usual personality becoming an emotional mess is just funny to me. I also like to think he’d be kind of clingy especially around you. Sobbing into your shoulder while telling you how much he loves and appreciates you. While you on the other end have to comfort him telling him you know and appreciate him as well.

- I also like to think he’d be kind of reckless while drunk as well. I think it mostly stems from him being emotional. He just so hyped up that he just can’t stay still so he just goes around doing random shit. It’s like trying to look after a child with how he acts. It’s even worse when both of you are drunk. He just encourages you to join in and with you also being drunk and not making that great of decisions you enable it. Sometimes you two find yourself covered in bruises causing you two to think how the hell you got them/what the hell the two of you did.

- Though he kind of enjoys the moment of being drunk as I mentioned he absolutely hates the hangover part. He just doesn’t like the feeling of every part of his body hurting while trying not to throw up, sometimes failing to do so. He constantly complains about the smallest things while hungover but despite this if you're also hungover he does still try to comfort you. Patting your back telling you it’s alright while throwing up himself. He ain’t letting it stop him to make sure you're alright.

This will be based on both the original Newgrounds Pico game and Friday Night Funkin'. I own neither games and credit is given to the creators for the characters. All I'm trying to do is have fun and write a story!

You were a well known assassin around town, after all, it was the only way you made a living so you had to make a name for yourself as well.

You often took jobs alongside your friends, as it was easier to make money killing people in groups. You had known them for almost your whole life, even going through a school shooting a few years back together.

Everything seemed fine, you all made good money and hung out often, until one of your closest friends, Pico, decided to screw up a mission by not killing the initial target.

"..He did what..?" You were in shock as your friend, Nene, has just informed you on what your other friend, Pico, had done on his assassination mission.

You were sitting on her couch, as Darrell, your other other friend grumbled while tossing his signature spray paint can up in the air repeatedly and catching it.

"PICO SPARED THAT IDIOTS LIFE AND EVEN SAVED HIM FROM STUPID MILITARY FUCKERS!!" You could tell Nene was pissed, she kept ranting on and on about how stupid Pico was. Pacing back and forth in her small apartment, grumbling and gritting her teeth.

"So..we still get money..right?" It was a stupid question you asked, as you knew the answer, but maybe just maybe, your answer was wrong.

"Obviously not, that orange haired dickhead screwed everything up. Do you know how much money we could have made off of the rich asshole that hired us? A lot." Darnell responded back as he sighed heavily.

You grunted and fell back on Nene's couch, Darnell was right, the money you could have made would have helped you a lot. After paying for food and bills, you still could have had a good sum of money to purchase new weapons or nicer clothes.

It was unexpected for Pico to mess up on a mission, but then again, you knew how much he still cared about his ex, BF. After all, he had messed up the previous mission that involved BF too, instead of killing him, they just had a rap battle.

Still though, how did he ignore that much money and the consequences for not completing his mission for someone like that? Love is a mystery though.

"I COULD'VE BEEN RICH! . . .YOU KNOW WHAT? IM GONNA KILL THAT BASTARD. THAT STUPID ORANGE GINGER BASTARD!" Nene suddenly grabbed her knife and headed to the door, you had never seen her this mad. But honestly if you didn't care about Pico so much, you'd also be as pissed as Nene was.

Uh oh "WAIT NENE! Let's just calm down okay? I'm sure we can work this ou-" You quickly got up from her small couch, Darnell following your movements, and you both started following her. She cut your sentence off with a death stare and stepped out of her apartment.

"Yo Nene, chill out dude, yeah I'm pissed as fuck too, but let's just beat the shit out of him or something, not kill him!" Darnell said, trying to reason with Nene as you all walked out, you and Darnell chasing Nene as she continued to speed walk.

"Yeah exactly! Plus we don't even know where he is!" You chuckled awkwardly, you're not sure why, but all you wanted to do was get Nene to calm down.

She refused to listen, it's as if you and Darnell were ghosts to her. You looked at Darnell and he shrugged. "Let's just go to make sure she doesn't kill him." You groaned but agreed.

And so, all three of you headed to go in search of the ginger head assassin that screwed up.

"Alright so we've literally been looking for hours and he's nowhere. Where do you expect to find him Nene?" You turned to Nene, she ripped the map Darnell had bought to search the area better, but no luck. "WHERE IS HE?!" She yelled out.

"Dude that map cost me 5 bucks! Also, he must know we're pissed because he's obviously hiding." Darnell looked from side to side, trying to spot any sign of Pico.

You don't know how, but somehow you guys ended up on the other side of town, in the middle of nowhere. There were only tall buildings that looked like office buildings and apartment complexes.

"Yeah guys, I really don't think we're going to find him in the middle of nowhere, it's not like we're just gonna see a big poofball of orange hair in the middle of nowher-" You were suddenly cut off by Nene,

"THERE HE IS."

"What..?"

Low and behold, there he was, trying to sneak around the corner of some building. His orange hair peaked out, and soon he brought out his whole head to check his surroundings.

He checked one side, then the other, where he spotted all of you. Especially Nene.

You could see the color from his face drain, and he immediately ran for it, but Nene was faster.

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU JACKASS!" She ran faster than you ever imagined possible, Pico didn't stand a chance. You and Darnell ran after them, but by the time you caught up, Nene had already had Pico pinned to the ground, knife in her hand and Pico's gun tossed.

"NENE WAIT!!" You screamed as Darnell quickly grabbed her by her stomach, catching her off guard. She dropped her knife and squirmed in Darnell's arms trying to break free, even biting his arms a few times, but Darnell held on.

"Calm down Nene, Jesus Christ!" Darnell scolded her, but she didn't even care.

"What the fuck guys?!" Pico got up and rubbed his head, trying to soothe the pain from being slammed down onto cement.

"Uh hello??!! What the hell man!!?? You know how much cash we could have got from killing that blue balled idiot?!" This time you were scolding Pico, even pointing your finger in his face.

"Yeah I screwed up and lost us a ton of money, you can be pissed, but isn't killing me too far?!" He got up and grabbed his gun from the floor.

"Whatever dude, just get out of here." What the hell were you saying?! Why were you letting him go without any consequences?!

"Y/N! We can't just let him go Scott fre- OW SHIT..!!" Nene bit Darnell as hard as she could, which didn't break her free, but it got a good reaction out of him.

"We can beat him up later when we know Nene won't kill him, plus I'm sure Daddy Dickhead will be up his ass soon enough."

Darnell grumbled and looked over at Pico, who in return just gave him a death glare, "Aight whatever, I guess you're right."

And with what, Pico made a run for it as Nene continued to squirm and yell out random slurs at him.

Well that went..awful..

Darnell agreed to watch over Nene tonight to make sure she didn't go by herself to try to find Pico, allowing you to go home and get some rest.

As you walked home, your mind kept racing, it was hard knowing Pico practically chose his ex over his friends. They broke up for a reason, so why does Pico still chase after him every time there's an opportunity thrown at him?

You sighed and continued to walk home, all you could wonder was, What's going through that gingers head?

Whenever he's upset he'll like to sit in silence with you, he likes that he can be vulnerable with you when he needs to. He adores that about you.
