🍄 Here within the wonderful woodland world of Mushroom Musume, me and the others are hard at work on delivering continuous updates for all of your mushy needs. 🍄
Which includes the composing of several new tracks to cross your ears in the upcoming months - including this teaser for an upcoming boss track titled: “The Ballad of the Rotted One”
Will you uncover the tale of The Revenger? Will you come face to face with The Rotted One - The Forsaken Prince of legend?
Or will you wilt in the face of The Bloom, like a craven Perennial?
Find out soon when Mushroom Musume: The RPG Update goes live at the end of December
Mushroom Musume is Available for PC/Mac/Linux and Android here: https://mortallymoonstruckgames.itch.io/mushroom-musume

Anybody remember Tamagotchi or any  of those old digital pet games? I wish I had the means to manufacture a little device like this and keep little critters like the snuffler alive. This is from They Might Byte! by the way, maybe I’ll make more of these in the future.

My friend and I are working on a game jam game again! It's a oregon trail kinda game and I wanted to go for a papercraft puppet sort of style for the sprites and everything. Here’s some of the art I made for the game so far including a handful of dialog portraits, roadside sprites, and a few menu screens! The game should be out relatively soon!!

7/21/23 Update - SSJ 23 part 1
Sorry for the late update! Things have been busy between my first game jam and moving and work stuff.
I finished my autobattler drinking game, which I submitted for Pigsquad's Summer Slow Jam in June! The creative theme was 'mutation,' which I incorporated by having each player gain mutations after each round.
This was my first project in Godot and after some struggling I was able to publish it as a Webgl project - which you can play here!

There are two more Pigsquad Jams this summer, the current one being narrative with a 'doomsday' theme and a crafting game with an unannounced theme. I was going to make a full game for this narrative jam, but work has ended up being super busy and it doesn't look like I'll finish in time :( I'll still submit what I have and I'll be sure to post about it on here!

Supernova is a game my team and I were working on for Pigsquad's Narrative Summer Slow Jam. Supernova is a hybrid between a point-and-click and a visual novel with inspiration from games like Coffee Talk.  You are playing as Dmi, a gas station employee on Mars' moon. The solar system is reaching its end, and a supernova will wipe out everything in three days. You’re clocking in. Most people have relocated already, but a few people are still around. Who will you meet in those last three days?
Features:
Roughly 7,000 words of dialogue and narration
Two Endings!
You can pet the cat(?)!
One playthrough should be around 25 minutes
Note from Me:
I wrote for this, and I'm super proud of this game! My team and I were COOKING for this game. This has always been a game I've wanted to make since I was back in college, and I'm super glad I was able to make it for this jam. I loved writing about all the random weirdos in space just planning out this game. Working on this reminded me why I want to keep writing for games so bad. I'd also love to revisit and fine-tune it with everyone else or expand upon it. Please give it a try and tell me how you feel about it!
ANOTHER NOTE:
If you notice any bugs please let us know! We're going to be doing many post-jam updates!

Who said the apocalypse couldn’t be fun?
Tumblr media
DOOMSDATE: I Accidentally Summoned The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse And Now They Want To DATE Me??? is a short visual novel about getting to start the apocalypse alongside the four horsemen. You know, the ones from the Bible.
Get to know each of them, and choose who you want to spend your doomsday with now!
A kind of weird, not-quite-dating sim from Stratoswing (StormCat, squazz13, zephyreds). Play now on itch.io!
Made for the PIGSquad Narrative Summer Slow Jam.

The PIGSquad Finish Your Game Jam is kicking off tonight! +2 week jam dedicated to finishing an unfinished project. https://itch.io/jam/finishyourgamejam2023 I'm going to use the opportunity to polish up the combat in Daydream Skies so that it's actually 1) fun and 2) you can tell what's going on if you're not me 🦜🏴‍☠️ I'm very excited cause this jam is where I actually started working on Daydream Skies just a year ago. Looking forward to revisiting it + the jam after so much progress. Jam is open to everyone and hosted online if you got an old project kicking around >:)

So I ended up catching wind of PIGSquad's "Finish Your Game" Jam, and since I've been working on a game, I decided to enter! While no, I did not manage to finish my game within a 2 week time frame, I did make a fancy-lookin' devlog to show what I managed to get done!
Check it out on Itch!

🍄 Would you look at that, after some calculations it turns out the Mushroom Musume OST is over an hour long! 🍄
When I joined the project I wanted to be ambitious, but I never really thought I’d be capable of putting out this quantity of music. It’s been a wonderful journey so far, and there’s still more music to come, but for now I thought I’d share a little teaser for a track coming up in the next update. It’s called “In Shaded Glory”
I hope you enjoy, and remember: you can check out Mushroom Musume here and download it for free on Pc, Mac, Linux, and now Android
Happy foraging~ ✨
