My interest in World War II was rekindled while watching some of the D-Day commemorations, so here is Tech as a WWII RAF fighter pilot. Thinking about an officer's uniform or bomber pilot as well, but always open to suggestions WWII or otherwise though. 🤷🏼‍♀️ [Used for reference: photo and photo.]

Imperial Tech gets to fly the most cutting edge TIE fighters. He's the best pilot the Empire has seen since Vader. His cybernetic eyes give him an edge, but it's his steady nerves, and his ability to think fast and react faster that allow him to fly almost as well as a Force sensitive pilot.

hmm thinking about older bf!simon who hasn’t really got his head around the whole sexting thing- the man had a flip phone before he met you.

he had, however, reluctantly gone out and got an android after a harmless conversation between the two of you.

so whilst he’s away, you’re in the kitchen cooking up dinner-for-one and your phone buzzes on the counter- you drop the fucking pasta strainer straight on the floor when you unlock your phone.

simon’s face wasn’t necessarily in the photo, more so his mask. he was fully dressed, tactical gear (down to the vest) still on with a rifle leaning against his thigh. he was in the exact position you’d request, gloved fingers wrapped around the base of him with his other bicep firm behind his head.

you’re so busy saving the photo and staring back at it 100,000 times that you forget to respond. honestly, you forget how to function as your mouth goes dry and your eyes are unable to look at anything else.

simon hesitates on the other end, wondering if he’d fucked up- if he hadn’t followed the brief, if he’d embarrassed himself. thankfully, he knows he only has to ask.

“that what you were after, pet?”

the trepidation in his chest is replaced with a rapidly inflating ego.

“jesus christ, that’s exactly what i needed”

swapped out with slight confusion, but the ever present willingness to learn.

Tech really made an impact on these girls! Both Hera & Omega grow up to be pilots. Tech teaches Hera how to scramble a ship’s signature which she uses often in rebels and like hello her ship is named the ghost! I just think that’s neat! 💖

Hera even has some visual similarities like the ear pads & goggles. Who knew tech was a fashion trailblazer 😂

okay pacrim au (it's gonna be steddie bear with me here)

nancy is the best jaeger pilot the world's ever seen, her and barb are an unstoppable force. but then barb dies, gets completely ripped from their mech. so they pair nancy with steve, a pilot known for being generally drift compatible with everyone to a degree. it's not perfect, but nancy who is full of fury needs someone that can roll with her punches, keep her going. and they do well. they aren't the best, but he's the only one that can handle nancy's force. steve's good at taking hits. they mange it for about two years. and steve had been doing such a good job hiding it, absorbing all of nancy's internal grief and fury so she could keep doing her job.

but he breaks. the two of them are force-retired, and nancy lashes out so intensely, steve goes into a depression, completely severs ties with the jager program and disappears.

then there's eddie, a street rat by birth, but a guy so inherently good with the jaeger technology, he's managed to build his own on scavenged scraps—part of it from the jaeger barbara holland died in. he's used his lil jaeger to defend his little forgotten part of the world best he could, mostly luring kaiju away towards the actual military and stealthily escaping before any government detects him. but it's hard to do alone.

and then he meets steve.

i'm going to be so bold as to say Hunter is the 2nd best pilot after Tech (within CF99).

What other clone in the galaxy uses that word, besides Tech? He cracked Phee's encryption on her navicomputer without issue, which you can bet was pretty advanced.

But...maybe he isn't as brainwashed as he appears. Did anyone else notice how the typical clone accent was heavy when he was talking to Hemlock, but he sounded more like Crosshair when he was on Pabu?

There was a whole ass Imperial cruiser on Pabu, equipped with detention cells and hundreds of armed guards...and he just threw the highly essential asset in the back of his suped up space corvette and said, "she's with me", before he peaced out and left his imp buddies. Highly sus.

Finally finished reading Legionnaire but unfortunately it set me back on my bullshit and I'm trying desperately to spare my tabletop group from it.

I need to just sketch more, it helps me remember how to draw like an actual frigging adult.

Recently I bought a Palm III off of eBay that sadly had some coffee damage on it that wasn't in the listing. This causes issues with power, dark spots on the LCD, and it also caused the buttons to be sticky. After getting a refund, I was able to disassemble it and start cleaning it up. I couldn't fix the first two issues with what I had on hand, but I could at least clean it up.

After cleaning everything up, it works as well as I can get it to work, and I'm happy with the result.

I also made a video of the entire process (of course) <3
