continuing with property law today. rereading my notes for this class makes my head hurt, since my professor doesn’t know the words ‘structure’ or ‘speaking clearly and into the microphone’ when giving a lecture. pray for me.

my mid-february resolution is to make my studyblr a priority once again! so, without further ado, here’s my official intro:

i will be starting college next year as a biochemistry major

i have taken the sorting quiz three times (yikes) and got gryffindor the first time but slytherin the second and third, so i think i’m a slytherin

What to do when you feel like you just can't keep studying

Maybe I'm not the best at this kind of advice, but my friend was struggling and I just had to help her. Thought I would share the advices I gave her:

Take a break!!

Calm down. Push you notes aside and breathe deeply. Breathe a few times. All this worring is not going to take you anywhere. Close your eyes and breathe.  

Write down what you feel 

Take all those things the voices in your head are telling you and lay them all on the paper. Everything. Trust me, you'll feel better once you've drained all that. 

 Take a shower 

Keeping to try to study isn't going to take you anywhere if you're still in the same state. Go and take a shower, a bath. Treat yourself with it. Relax. Let the water wash all that negativity. 

 Prepare a cup of your comfort drink 

Can be tea (like me), can be coffee, can be chocolate, can be even soup. Whatever. Whatever drink makes you feel warm inside, just make a cup of it and drink it slowly. 

 Sit down and set your mind 

Doing all that would be useless if you sit with your notes and start worrying again. Don't think you have too little time to study. Don't think you're not going to make it. Don't think you can't. If you set your mind like that, it would happen. Instead, think you will. You will learn that. You will remember it. You will succeed. Take it easy at first, set your goals and start again.

A new and improved moleskine notebook that I’ll use as a planner/agenda for school - it’s all stuff that I already had at home, my dad uses moleskines for work stuff but only ‘professional coloured’ ones so he gave me this one, washi tape is from ikea I got it a while ago for presents, and I’ve got no clue where that lace stuff is from it was in my mom’s basket of sewing stuff and I stitched it onto the elastic of the notebook

I have my English listening comprehension in a week and the written part in approximately a fortnight(I think) and I’m not even stressing over them? Also, I have my civics finals in, like, three weeks and I haven’t really done much for it either.

In conclusion, don’t be as bad of a procrastinator as I am ~

I feel I did it awesome! I answered everything but one question, I feel very comfortable and happy with my performance.

Pictures from yesterday’s study session with a classmate in my favorite cafe. We studied for our England history tests, I’m doing it in a FEW minutes. I’ll be back later to share here how it goes. It was A LOT of information. After I got panic, I managed to learn and understand everything. My test will be from the beginning of the times until the 20th century. Wish me luck!!!

Hey guys! I’m Rylie and, after a long time of just admiring the studyblr community, it’s finally come to the time when I finally decide to make one and join this wonderful community! I wanted to start this blog in order to enhance my productivity and motivation, finish off my high school years on a good note, and start college with a fresh mind.
