Hope this meets your expectations! And sorry this took a while, I've been off my computer today and couldn't think of a plotline for a while. Also, this might be a bit ooc; I haven't gone on a lore dive for a while so I kinda forget Chara's personality XD

“Why are you always so nice all the time?” 

The voice frightens you for a moment until you remember who it is. You turn your head to glance at the disembodied voice, despite not needing to; they didn’t exactly have a physical form to face, after all. 

*Why wouldn’t I be? It’s easy. 

They scoff. You can feel them - hypothetically - crossing their arms, eyes rolling as they respond. 

“Yeah, okay. But why? It’s just as easy to not give a shit about anything or anyone,” Chara sighs, “Especially when you’re just gonna reset soon, anyway. That’s the point of putting in all that effort when only, like, three people are gonna remember you next time?” 

*It’s more effort, sure, but everyone in this timeline will be grateful for it. That makes it worth it, to me. 

“Then you’re gonna turn around and do a genocide run, right? It always ends the same. You’ll get bored of this eventually, right?” 

*Maybe. For now, I’m happy, and I want them to be happy, too. Is that so bad?

The ghost pauses for a moment, almost contemplating. Silence fills the air before they speak up once more. Their words take you aback. 

“Do you… think I’m a bad person?” 

*Why would I think that? 

“It’s just… everytime we do a geno run or anything wrong, it’s always me leading you to it. You almost never initiate it, it’s always me. I’m the problem.” 

*...

*Do you think Asriel’s a bad person? 

They sputter, “What? No! Never!!” 

*Why not? He’s the one who killed us countless times. There’s a bunch of timelines where he’s been the one to do a genocide run. Wouldn’t that make him just as bad, or worse than you? 

“But he-” 

*Him being bored and lonely doesn’t excuse his actions. It doesn’t excuse anything. But you still insist he’s a good person. 

“...” 

*No, I don’t think you’re a bad person. Even if you are the one who suggested… those things in the past, I don’t think it makes you a bad person, let alone at fault for what happened. 

“I… I guess. Still, it’s not right. I’m not right.” They turn, eyes downcast in their barely-there form as they confess. 

*For what it’s worth, you’ve always been here for me, every run. Thanks for that. And… I forgive you, if that helps. 

Chara blushes ever so slightly, flustered as they shrink into themself. Their ectoplasmic body becomes even more transparent; hard to do considering they were barely there in the first place, but they managed nonetheless. 

“Thanks, Frisk. For a big pushover, I guess you’re pretty cool, too.”

(The Taylor Swift reference was unintentional but it came in clutch when figuring out a title for this XD)

Hello! You can call me "The Chief", and I'm here to take a simple test!

Recently, I've started to have an obsession with the game Master Detective Archives: Rain code, and I've started drawing Makoto Kagutsuchi and Yuma Kokohead quite often, so I want to share, I want to see what you think, I evolved my style over time, because I try to find something that I like when I start drawing a character each time. My English is not the best because I use a translator, and my interpretation of the characters may be different from yours. Consider my drawings as alternate versions.

Immediate warning: I use easypose and pose bases, my drawings are bad, I use gacha, I make bad edits, I hope my stuff doesn't make you uncomfortable. There will be some suggestive drawings!! Game spoilers, of course, and there's a crossover games.

First drawing:

The first drawing I made of these two was a conversation with my friends on discord about: "why is Makoto's hair a different color?" My friends and I started discussing color theory, like, Yuma's hair looks like blue, and Makoto's looks like yellow.

I love making him look angry, because I see him as a tsundere without his mask, and super suspicious of people, he only trusts Yuma. These first drawings, I was still looking for my style of how to draw his hair.

RAIN CODE / Undertale

Ok, I'm probably the only person making this comparison, let's get to the context:

I started to see Makoyuma as a Charisk 2.0 (Chara x Frisk, Undertale ship that I've always loved since I was 11 years old), And also, Chara = Makoto, and Frisk = Yuma is very good for me, Frisk is always interpreted as pacifist in the fandom, and Chara as genocide. I like to see Chara as a tsundere, my tsundere and mischievous Makoto is not cute ? I'm obsessed and it's your fault, guys. /j

The part there with Shuichi with Makoto and Yuma, is supposed to be a reference to KFC, Kris from Deltarune being interpreted as Chara and Frisk's older sibling, Charisk being seen as family is normal because Toriel adopts Frisk too, This part is more for those who like Makoyuma as a platonic and I'm fine with that, memes about siblings are always funny. Maybe I'll do more of this AU? I loved the concept of Chara!Makoto, Chara is my favorite character anyway.

Note: my age headcanon for Yuma being 23 may have changed.

I may like Makoyuma and be obsessed with them, but their other ships are good too, the other characters are interesting. (I also like Shinigami and Kurumi)

I saw a really good analysis about Izuru and Makoto being opposites of each other, so I made this drawing here, what do you guys think? Ignore Nagito being gay in the background.

ARGH, I don't know how to draw the floral pattern on Makoto's suit, I'm sorry.

Transcript: Head in hands tears in my eyes...guys chara and frisk aren't siblings or even sibling coded. You CAN read them that way but the game beats it over our heads that it's optional. Chara and Asriel ARE sibling coded being frequently compared to siblings (twin sized bed, gerson referring to them as asgore & toriels children). But with frisk and chara They only interact if you believe in narrachara and even then what interactions the narrator has with frisk are vauge at best. Their purely platonic, not familial (the narrator not once compares Frisk to asriel or says anything blatantly familial ) or romantic. (Despite many lines from the narrator implying fondness for frisk, fondness =/= romantic interest)

Even if toriel did adopt frisk as the end of true pacifist- it still says nothing on how frisk themselves would see chara. Their is not enough information on either frisk or chara to define their relationship as anything definitively like we can with asriel & chara. As someone who has been in foster homes and had relationships with people who's parents I called mine I think you guys are applying a general rule ('step siblings and adopted siblings are family'!) To a situation where their can be alot of nuance! I get calling chasriel incest since it's blatantly clear chara and the dreemurrs consider each other family but frisk being adopted by toriel is one of two possible endings for them. Most charisk shippers clearly aren't writing them as siblings either??

There Might be an argument for flowisk/friskriel since flowey projects chara onto frisk but his arc in pacifist is all about realizing their different people. Man I don't even ship charisk and yall got me defending them 😒

Undertale ships: just hear me out

I understand that people have ships they like involving Undertale's main characters... even if they're extremely questionable ones. You know the ones I'm talking about. However, there is a very small amount of them that are actually canon. I know you're gonna try and counter me by bringing up "platonic ships", and to be honest, THOSE particular ships I don't mind, as long as they're strictly platonic. Sans and Papyrus, for example... they're brothers, so obviously they'd be good platonic friends, even if they don't always get along...

Regardless, my point is that out of the many Undertale ships, only a select few of them are canon. Things like Papyton is just Papyrus being a fan of Mettaton's show. There's probably a dozen fangirls of Mettaton anyway. For Soriel, Deltarune and Undertale don't necessarily apply to each other, so what Sans said in Deltarune isn't canon in Undertale. Also it's very likely that he used "befriend" in the literal sense of platonic friendship. As for Asgoriel... they divorced, so I don't see a sign of that ship becoming canon. And do NOT get me started on any ships involving Frisk, Chara or Asriel. They're KIDS! They're MINORS!

Oh yeah, and there's also ships like Fontcest, Charisk, etc... name ONE time that Undertale promoted inc*st. Those ships just make me wanna throw up sometimes.

Anyway, there's a bunch of platonic ships that actually make sense, given Undertale's storyline and overall theme, plus one of the VERY few ships that's actually canon is Alphys x Undyne, as that was actually confirmed in the game (as well as Dogamy x Dogaressa, if we're counting minibosses).
