Vesuvia Weekly: How they like to steal a kiss
Julian -
Likes stealing kisses from you like he's the most moral pirate that ever existed. He already "steals" quite a few from you on a daily basis, in the form of little pecks on your cheek as a greeting or just because you did something endearing, but in his mind those don't count. Rather, he likes to twirl you around on the dance floor and dip you back until you're clinging to him for support, lean down into your space with a wicked smirk, and pause just long enough to see the happiness and safety in your eyes before he claims his prize.
Asra -
Likes stealing kisses from you the way they like "holding you hostage" for a snuggle session. For someone who uses such strong language, everything about his movements and intentions are gentle and respectful. They'll sidle up close to you behind the counter during a lull in the shop's business, gently wrap their arms around your middle, and slowly giggle and tease their way into hovering inches from your face. As soon as you ask him what he's up to, he's mumbling about "stealing a precious treasure" before he slowly closes the gap.
Nadia -
Likes to steal kisses from you as though they're a luxury only she has the reach to snatch. She'll wait until there's a moment between tasks to catch you in a corridor, take your chin lightly between her thumb and forefinger, and look at you from under lidded eyes like you're a work of art. Her proud little smirk and cocked eyebrow is all the warning you'll get before she backs you into a nearby tapestry with the intensity of her kiss, only giving you room to breathe as she wipes her lipstick from your mouth with her thumb and asks after your day.
Muriel -
Likes to steal kisses from you because it only requires ten seconds of courage max, while straight up asking you for one takes closer to two minutes. His version of "stealing" kisses is much more akin to giving them to you in ways he thinks you'll mind less. He'll press his fingertips to his lips, leaving a secret kiss on them, before he reaches out to move your hair out of your eyes brush and it against your forehead. Otherwise, the closest you'll get is when he holds your hand to wake you and kisses your inner wrist in a tender moment.
Portia -
Likes stealing kisses from you the way school kids pass notes to each other on the playground. She'll come sprinting by on her short break, snatch your wrist in her hand, and lead you through a veritable maze of back hallways and hidden corridors until you're both breathless and giggling. It's only once she's got you squished into a forgotten corner behind a dusty bookshelf that she'll brace her arms on either side of you, lean in with dancing eyes, and whisper "gotcha" before she tags you and calls you "it" with an abrupt, air-stealing kiss.
Lucio -
Likes stealing kisses from you simply because he can. He does enough law-abiding to satisfy a judge (which is more than he's ever done in his life) and he thinks he deserves a way to act out. He doesn't care if you're around other people or not, if you're standing relatively still and looking attractive enough (which is always) he's forgetting whatever he was trying to do and marching over to cup your face in his flesh-and-metal hands with the biggest puppy eyes. Just nod your head and you'll get the world's most excited kiss.

All ages can play with the dollhouses, toddlers and up can play with the playhouses. If you want a functional version of the decor, check out the add-on nesting block set! <3
Dream home decorator is REQUIRED to use the playhouses, the merged file includes them automatically so if you do not have it - please use the unmerged files More image examples can be found on the patreon and curseforge!! (Links with download!) HUGE thank you goes out to @TaurusDesigns because they truly saved the day on this set. They worked with me alot to help me fix countless meshing errors, shadow problems, in game errors, ect. Taurus went out of their way to help me make sure this could be published, and it would mean alot if you could go check out their stuff because they definitely deserve it! @NicAtNite88 also helped me out with testing some items in game so i wanna give them a shoutout as well, you can find some of the photos they got for me in game in the add on set! <3 (All of our CC can be found by typing " Donut " into the search bar! All 24 items are New meshes, and have all shadows and LODs. There is a slight glitch in the shadows on a few objects, but it only occurs BEFORE placing them down in game. Once they are placed, they are perfectly fine! you can find examples in images! <3
Infants that can sit up can play with all dollhouse block items, toddlers and kids can play too! In images you can find the non-reshade example! <3 You can size them up and down using the bracket keys. [ ] <- these ones.  I personally, use the tool mod to size my items up and down, and specifically with these if you are wanting them to be "perfectly sized" i would recommend you grab the tool mod by twistedmexi! He Chose You Fluff:
——— “Mama?”
You glance up from the little table, pausing mid-wipe of the sticky apple juice staining its surface after Charlie had abandoned her carton.
You find your daughter peering through the arched French doors, little palms and dotted nose pressed against the window pane. “C’n we go outside?”
At first you smile, knowing that your daughter’s nursery is just above the palace garden. It may be the safest place in all of Hell, and also one of Charlie’s “favoritest” playgrounds, per her own exclamation not a week ago.
“Of course, muppet.” You say as you resume cleaning what’s left of your little brunch date. “Do you wanna pick more daffodils for Daddy?”
“No, not the gard’n. Outside.” The toddler turns on her hooves to look at you with wide, ruby-red eyes.
You stop again, but your smile fades. “Outside? Like… outside the gates?”
“Mm-hm!” Charlie nods enthusiastically, overlong hair bouncing on her shoulders. “Let’s go!”
She’s already toddling over to you, hand outstretched to take yours. And it takes you a moment to stop stacking cups and plates and putting away the toys that your daughter had insisted join you while you had “mommy and baby” time. Your mind is practically sluggish trying to come up with something to say. Idly, you know that beyond the garden under Charlie’s tiny balcony, glints and gleams of the magically-enforced gate are visible behind carefully plotted ancient trees. It shines perpetually with the crimson sun as well as the swirling quasar of Heaven’s taunting light. It’s always there, even when Charlotte isn’t in her room but playing in your estate or being carried around as her you and Lucifer go about your day.
A twinge of anguish brings a crease to your forehead as you imagine how many times your child must’ve looked directly at the gate with interest. All at once you’re picturing Charlie being older and resenting that barrier, not understanding why the Morningstar family relies on it so damn much. Wishing she didn’t have to be kept in. Likening it to a cage.
(It’ll be even worse than when your daughter asked why she didn’t have any wings when you and Lucifer both did.)
Your hands uncurl from the stuffed animal you’d been holding as you sigh, slow and deliberate. You look back at Charlie, already hanging off of you, waiting with a smile on her face.
She tugs at you and it feels like nothing. You exhale again, mentally chastising for getting too far ahead of yourself.
“Hmm,” You make a show of thinking long and hard about the request as you rise from the floor. “Why don’t we ask Dad first? See if he wants to go with us?”
“Ok!” Your daughter grins, leaping onto the tips of her hooves and holding her chubby arms out. You pick her up and sweep out of the room, what’s left of the mess forgotten as you go.
“Daddy!” Charlie calls out. It’s too loud and too close to your ear but you snicker as she continues to chant. Lucifer is probably on the other side of the castle, but the daughter of the Devil is nothing if not overly excitable.
You have high hopes that Lucifer will turn that excitement into distraction from the idea of leaving the safety of the palace for now.

I had a nightmare once that I was in an elevator with an infinite amount of floors. Supposedly, there were something like 780, can't remember the exact number, but in reality it was more than that. I also remember that the elevator supposedly moved in jumps of 64. I remember there were people in the beginning. They'd get off at floors that seemed normal enough. Offices, hotel lobbies, et cetera. Then there weren't any more people and the floors got stranger and stranger. For instance, one of the floors was something like a children's play area at the mall with that weird shiny foam stuff on everything. It was a room so big I couldn't see the ends of it and it was forest themed. The lights were off, save for enough safety lights so that I could see. All I knew, deep in my bones, was that I was very, very much in danger and I needed to leave. So I ran for the other elevator door opposite me and didn't linger or look back. The last floor I was on before I woke up was a generic doctor's office waiting room. The only odd thing about it was that it seemed to be at the top of a skyscraper, with a city spreading out below. I didn't notice the receptionist at the desk until she asked if she could help me. I told her I needed a directory of the floors so I could figure out where I was headed. She smiled and pointed me to the coffee table that had magazines and one plain white binder. I flipped through it for a moment when a doctor came out. He told me he needed to take my temperature before he could let me go any farther. "We can't have any infections spreading to other floors, you know," he said. I nodded. He took my temperature and told me I was running a fever. The last thoughts I remember thinking, stronger and more insistent and with more abject certainty than I've felt in a long time, were "Why did he tell me I'm sick? I'm not sick. I'm not sick. I'm not sick and he's trying to keep me here."
Oh I love when several Fears nest together… it’s much easier for them within oniric megastructures such as this one than it is in the walking world. Things are so much more blurred, flexible… I’d wager there were several floors for each one. That dark forest playground was a domain of the Hunt, and the doctor’s office seems like it could be a Web/Corruption overlap - the fear of that loss of agency when sick, or when faced with people who can unilaterally decide that you are… as for the building itself, I’d categorize it as Spiral and Vast.

SkyBound SMP Characters as Fewjar Songs
Because I have an agenda and the agenda is getting more people to listen to Fewjar. The fandom are like 20 people we need more.
Vast - Lateniteaha
God, I still have so many questions
I'd be dead by now
But I wanna find out
What only the dead know
Especially now as Vast is figuring out what the Avicane actually are and is figuring out who to be after learning that information, they simply have Lateniteaha vibes to me.
Rune - Cepheus
How did I end up here, stone bound?
All I feel ist the striking distance to the clouds
My flesh is fettered on the skin of the soil
But even so I almost reach the sparks in the void
There is a theme in Cepheus of desperation and being stuck in a place, which reminds me of Rune, especially considering how he seems to view themselves and considering the crumbs of backstory we've gotten so far.
Sylph - Go For It!
Something we put together
From pieces we found
Of a broken jar spread on the floor
It's not whole again
Can't be filled up to the top
Yet a beauty lies inside the pain
Sylph to me seems like the type of character that looks at like, a broken apart piece of furniture or clothing and goes "I can fix that up" and then with the help of hot glue and sparkly tape and some neon paint they actually do fix it up and yeah, sure, it's not perfect and it's not without scars but it's something new and beautiful and crazy. In the best way. Best type of character in my eyes.
Taliesin - Yesterday's Eve
But everything is at a turning point
Light is coming in
Raised dust's telling the story
Again, and again, and again
Yesterday's Eve has this theme of passing through, of change and uncertainess that seems to fit with what we've gotten to see of Taliesin so far. We'll see if my opinion changes as we see the flamingo more.
Marcel - Treasure
Pale hands
Nothing to get so serious about but
Let us be honest
In peculiar moments of
Never never letting go the sum of my parts
Over and over again
I will admit that the lyrics of Treasure don't match up with Marcel, at least not 100%, but something in the vibe of the sound and the music video makes me think of him so there.
Armor - Gemini
Exposing scars
What have we done?
Composing lifelines always won
Don't you know where we came from
Where all began?
In all honesty, we literally had one stream with Armor so this is based on vibes and vibes only.
Pietro - Lo
Searching for a deeper sense
In a pile of vowels and consonants
In a pleasant appearance
A Sisyphus- mountain to ascend
Pietro gets one of my favourites and my favourite Fewjar music video! I can't 100% pinpoint why, but something between the sunlight/dawn aesthetic of the video and the almost pleading nature of the chorus make me thing of Pietro and her relationship with his brother.
Virgil - Skeleton
So hold on to me
Although our way won't be
a safe terrain
Oh hollow me
Tell me would you hold on
To a skeleton?
I will be so honest, Skeleton is less Virgil-specific and more it reminds me of both Virgil's relationships with Pietro and Giovanni. The themes of burying yourself in work or a cause even to the extent of ignoring ones own safety that rings through Skeleton - yeah.
Avalon - Chalkbird
Crystal sparrow come with me
Cause I recognized
That you, just like me
Don't belong to this place
Pinning a song for Ava was hard as hell but Chalkbird makes me think of her and Rune and their relationship so tadaaaa.
Gaverin - A Bleakbox of Insights
Irrelevance is my playground
And loneliness is my hometown
Covered in dust lies
A conspiracy
When you listen to Bleakbox at first you might say "That's not at all Gaverin" and to that I say: "I see your point but rewatch the bits where Gaverin talks about their family and read between the lines because that's what I did and that's how I ended up with Bleakbox" /lh
Cosie - We Wonder
We got time
So much time
And we wonder
We wonder, we wonder
If everything's on hold
Why don't we hold each other?
This is mostly based on the vibes Cosie gives off to me? Not 100% sure if the song fits lyric-wise but the vibe itself seems right to me.
Erin - Levitation
I didn't pick Levitation because of the lyrics, but because of the sound of the song itself. To me, Levitation sounds like a mix of lonely, whistful and comforting and those vibes to me seem like they can align with Erin.
Ashril - Despite This
I'll be filling my ears with some fire crackle
So you can't call me
Sky is covered by crowns, your smoke signals
They won't reach me
I cannot be convinced that Ash isn't running from something. Thus, Despite This.

Latrodectus
III. Crime of Passion
Tumblr media
part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4
AO3
Latrodectus Mactans, otherwise known as the Black Widow, are known for their uncouth treatment of their partners. The 'widow' part of their name stemming from the common occurrence of the female devouring her partner after mating.

================================================
Valeria never learned to share. When she was a child, a girl on the playground tried to take one of the dolls she was playing with. It ended with the little girl missing clumps of hair and Valeria being dragged away by her parents. Her territorial behavior shifted from toys to people. Marie and Elle were lapses in judgement. Valeria remained untethered by obsession during her remaining years of high school. At eighteen she had the brilliant idea to join the local military. Valeria knew she could climb the ranks. She was swift, strong, and cunning. Much to her anger and disappointment, she did not receive the recognition she rightfully earned. She shared her frustration with a woman from her unit. Julietta was strong and blunt. Unafraid to say what she was thinking and unafraid to stand up to the few sexist men on the squad.
Julietta had traits that Valeria admired. Her fierce personality drew Valeria in, and for once her interest was reciprocated. The two had a lengthy affair. Heated moments in closets where all Valeria was ever allowed, and it was never enough. She was so close to getting what she wanted. Valeria orbited Julietta, baring her teeth at any and all perceived competition. Julietta wasn't looking for anything serious. Not with Valeria anyway. Valeria's behavior along with Julietta's own inability to stick with one partner for too long caused her to start pulling away. Valeria could feel the shift immediately and it sent her over the edge.
While still working for the Mexican Special Forces, she saw opportunity with the local cartel. Big enough to bring the right person power and money, but still small enough that one could swoop in and build it up. What she was unable to do in the army, she did with ease in the cartel. Her violent nature and ruthlessness were rewarded. She became one of La Araña's favourite enforcers. During a raid on the aforementioned kingpin's son, Valeria saw an opportunity to further her own career. She, along with a few of her fellow soldiers, were tasked by La Araña to escort him and his son to safety. Forming an alliance with the other two soldiers, Valeria executed both of them. She created a power vacuum and what better person to fill it then her? There was only one more issue to solve. Julietta was one of the other two soldiers with Valeria and in the lonely desert, Valeria shot her in the back of the head and left her for the vultures.
She's tempted to give you the same fate as she carefully bandages her arm. Valeria's back rests against the cool, light blue ceramic of her bathtub. She washed, disinfected, stitched, and bandaged her own wound. It wasn't anything too terrible, she's had worse. Her brows are furrowed with anger as she tightens the bandage. She can't believe you did this. She went out of her way to do something nice for you, and you return the favour by stabbing her. She leans back against the tub and stares blankly at the counter across from her. Stockholm syndrome can take years to set in, and you aren't showing any progress at all. In fact, you're regressing.
Valeria rubs a tired hand across her face. She needs to be more patient. She reminds herself of this fact. The temptation to just go back downstairs and end you is strong, but she knows you're just acting out. She stands up from the tiled floor and begins collecting her medical supplies. She places them back underneath the sink and exits the bathroom. Pain rhythmically throbs down her arm, but she pays it no mind. She needs a drink. Walking into the kitchen she doesn't hesitate to snatch a bottle of vodka from the freezer. She needs something to water down the hatred currently blooming inside of her like the world's most ugly flower.
Control is one of the most important things to Valeria. She despises not having it and that's why the military didn't work out for her. Valeria is not any mere cog in a machine, she is the engineer. She would regularly commit insubordination. Doing what she thought was best even if her commanding officer didn't agree. On a mission in Europe, before she even joined the cartel, her squad had been tasked with rescuing a group of soldiers taken hostage. Valeria had been the one to find them, but the soldiers had been brainwashed. They were weak-willed and succumbed to the wiles of the enemy and turned on their team. Her orders were to subdue them and wait for backup to bring them to safety, but such weakness shouldn't have been allowed. She executed each and every one of them. She was under investigation for murder and insubordination but ultimately got away with it.
She takes a healthy swig straight from the bottle. She isn't able to control everything though. Not your attitude nor your actions. Her pink-painted nails tap along the table with her growing agitation. Dark eyes flit around the lonely kitchen. It's well stocked and maintained, she can picture herself cooking meals with you. Dancing along to music while you two make memories. If only you'd stop being so stubborn. She clenches her fist. If you want to be difficult and ungrateful then Valeria will have to act accordingly. See how aggressive you are after being isolated and weakened from hunger.
In the meantime, Valeria has important matters to attend to. Leading a successful cartel is hardly glamorous. When you come around Valeria will make sure to keep you separate from that part of her life. She takes a few more sips just for good measure before putting the half empty bottle back into the freezer.
                   *                    *                  *
She can hear you screaming. You are the loudest you've ever been. Your voice, although barely audible, manages to seep up through the floorboards. She wonders if screaming that loudly for too long can permanently damage your vocal cords. Valeria wouldn't mind if you lost the ability to speak, there's something appealing about you losing your prominent source of communication. You'd have to rely on her for a new way. For a second, she has the urge to go down there and tear out your vocal cords herself. She doesn't though, you'd never forgive her for doing that to you.
Valeria sits right outside your door silently. Listening to you sob so hard you retch. It's been five days since she's decided to impose complete isolation on you, and you aren't taking it well at all. Granted, you're also probably very hungry and thirsty. All she left you to drink was the paint water. Something thuds against the wall. Then another thing, and another. Judging by the weight of what's being thrown Valeria guesses you're chucking the tubes of acrylic at the walls.
The stab wound doesn't take that long to heal. By the second week it's already beginning to scab. She unwraps the gauze and throws it away, deciding it's no longer needed. She walks back out of the bathroom and lingers by the basement door. Everything is silent. You've been silent for three days now. Two weeks on your own should be enough time to rethink your outlook on this situation. She walks into the kitchen and prepares you something small. She can't feed you too much right away, or she could cause fatal chemical imbalances within your body. Refeeding syndrome is one awful way to go.
She makes you a sandwich, cuts it in half, and brings you a bottled water. Outside your door she hesitates. Wondering what she's going to see when she opens the door. She grabs the key from the doorframe and unlocks it, looking inside. You're lying in bed silently, back turned to the door. The blankets on top of you slowly rise and fall with your breathing. Valeria slowly approaches you and kneels beside the mattress.
"Querida." She murmurs softly. She reaches a hand out and lays in on your shoulder. "I brought you something to eat."
You don't stir, so Valeria shakes you gently.
"Look at me." She says. She grips your shoulder and rolls you onto your back. Propped up against the wall on its side is her painting of you. It's unfinished. She tried her best to capture your features, but you stabbed her before she got the chance to perfect them. She's surprised to see it in your bed. Your hollow gaze meets hers and she almost feels bad for doing this to you. Almost.
"... What did you bring?" You rasp. Your voice sounds awful, but Valeria is more focused on the fact that you're interested in what she brought.
"A sandwich, and some water." She sets the paper plate and water on the bed. You slowly sit up and look at them.
You grab the plate and bring it closer to yourself. For once you don't glare at her or ignore the food. You pick up the sandwich and swiftly devour it then grab the water and down it greedily. Some of it spills down your chin and the soaks the front of your shirt. You pull the empty bottle away from your lips and set it down. You stare at your lap with furrowed brows.
"I'm sorry." You mutter. "For stabbing you." Valeria wasn't expecting an apology but her heart leaps. She places a hand on the back of your head and gently caresses it.
"It's alright." She replies, as if your actions didn't make her contemplate killing you.
You sound sincere though. She thinks leaving you alone might've actually worked. She's still going to keep you chained down here for a little while longer, just as a precaution. You lay down. Covers pulled to your chin. Valeria takes this as her cue to leave, but when she goes to stand your hand shoots out and latches onto her wrist.
"Please don't go." You say. It was only two weeks but to someone with no windows or clock, it must've seemed like longer. Valeria lowers herself back down. Resting her back against the wall beside you while you drift off, hand still wrapped around her wrist.

Tech as a father Chapter 49

Chapter 49: Unwanted care
Orion, the curious and playful five-month-old, delighted in the discovery that throwing his toys over the bunk edge created interesting sounds. With newfound excitement, he gleefully grabbed his tiny playthings, testing the theory over and over again. Each time a toy sailed through the air and produced a distinctive noise upon landing, Orion's eyes sparkled with wonder.
Tech, observing his son's experimentation with a mix of amusement and pride, couldn't help but marvel at Orion's budding curiosity and motor skills. He sat nearby, occasionally offering encouraging smiles and gentle words as Orion continued his exploration of cause and effect. The bunk here on Kamino and on the Havoc Marauder transformed into a miniature playground, echoing with the joyful sounds of a baby's laughter and the clatter of toys meeting the floor. Orion's contagious joy and the playful atmosphere created a heart-warming scene, fostering a precious father-son moment amid the routine of their daily life of a clone.
Tech, recognizing the need for a safety barrier to prevent Orion from accidentally falling off the bunk, remembering the accident from Wrecker’s bunk, took a moment to devise a simple yet effective solution. Drawing from his technical expertise, he gathered some materials available as he has enough laying around in their barracks, one can always reuse even the tiniest thing, contemplating the design for the safety barrier. After a brief but focused period of assembly, Tech fashioned a lightweight and collapsible safety railing that could be easily attached to the side of the bunk here and in the ship. The barrier provided a protective boundary for Orion, ensuring he could explore and play on the bunk without the risk of accidental falls.
Tech, satisfied with his creation, tested the safety railing to confirm its stability and security. Once convinced of its effectiveness, he carefully installed it on his bunk. Now, with the safety measure in place, Tech could confidently leave Orion on the bunk, knowing that his son would be shielded from any potential mishaps. Not that he would ever leave him alone, especially on Kamino.
This practical solution reflected Tech's commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for Orion, showcasing the blend of his technical skills with the love and care he devoted to his role as a father. But Orion is not appreciating the care of his father right now.
Observing Orion's unease and reluctance toward the newly installed safety railing, Tech realized the need to address his son's concerns. Carefully, he approached Orion, kneeling down to his level and offering a reassuring presence. Tech spoke to Orion in a soothing tone, attempting to alleviate any fear or uncertainty. "Hey there, Orion. This railing is here to keep you safe. See, it's just like a barrier, so you won't accidentally fall off the bunk. It's designed to protect you." To make the experience more positive, Tech reached for one of Orion's favourite toys and placed it within his reach on the bunk, emphasizing that the railing was there to enable playtime without worry. He used gentle gestures and encouraging words, aiming to create a connection between the safety feature and enjoyable activities.
Tech's thoughtful approach aimed to gradually familiarize Orion with the new addition, turning it into a positive element in his environment. The caring father continued to interact with Orion, ensuring that the safety railing became an accepted part of their living space. But the little half clone had none of it, throwing his toys as hard as his body allows, nearly managing to hit his father’s face.
Tech, caught off guard by the unexpected toy toss, reacted quickly, raising an eyebrow at Orion's display of disapproval. Suppressing a chuckle, he retrieved the toy and examined it, feigning a serious expression. "Well, it seems the toy is not a fan of the railing either," Tech remarked in a playful tone, trying to turn the moment into a light-hearted interaction. He set the toy aside and focused on Orion, maintaining his calm demeanour.
"Alright, Orion, let's find a compromise. What if we make a game out of it? We can play with the toy together, and the railing will be like our special boundary. You throw the toy, and I'll catch it. What do you say?" Tech suggested, introducing an element of fun to help Orion associate the safety feature with an enjoyable activity. Tech's goal was to make the railing less intimidating for Orion by incorporating play and bonding into the experience. He awaited Orion's response, ready to adapt to his son's preferences while ensuring a secure environment. But Tech, understands that Orion is still too young to grasp the concept of playing catch, sighed softly, realizing that the introduction of the railing hadn't gone as smoothly as he hoped. He carefully picked up Orion, soothingly murmuring to him as he held his upset son close.
"It's alright, Orion. Change can be a bit overwhelming, I get it," Tech reassured him, gently rocking him in his arms. "Let's try something else, shall we?" Tech pondered for a moment, considering ways to make the environment more comfortable for Orion. He decided to remove the railing temporarily, intending to find a compromise that balanced safety and Orion's comfort. "Okay, buddy, let's give it another shot without the railing for now. We'll figure out a solution together," Tech said, adjusting the bunk to accommodate Orion's preference. As Tech worked to address Orion's concerns, he remained patient, recognizing that adapting to new surroundings could be challenging for an infant. The goal was to create a secure and welcoming space, ensuring that Orion felt at ease in his ever-changing environment on Kamino.
Tech, with a small smile, approached Hunter, gauging the situation. Hunter was laying in his bunk, eyes closed with headphones on, something he does to not overstimulate his enhanced senses. He carefully placed Orion between Hunter's side and arm, letting the little one feel the comforting presence of his uncle. As Orion happily smacked on Hunter's arms, Tech swiftly and discreetly installed the railing, hoping to find a balance that satisfied everyone. As Orion faced the inside of the bunk and not the room itself.
Hunter, surprised by the sudden change in atmosphere and the joyful company of Orion, took off his headphones and looked down at the little one. Orion, seemingly content in his new position, giggled and babbled, completely unaware of the adjustments made to his surroundings. Hunter slightly sitting up and leaning back, opens his mouth but closes it when he sees Tech adjusting the railing.
Tech gave Hunter an understanding nod, signalling that he had modified the bunk for Orion's comfort. Hunter, appreciating the thoughtful gesture, relaxed back into his bunk, watching over Orion as the little one continued to explore his immediate surroundings, now feeling secure with the presence of both Tech and Hunter. The trio found a moment of tranquillity amidst the otherwise dynamic life on Kamino. “You know, Orion this railing isn’t for me, I did not fall out a bunk for a while.” Hunter jokes. Understanding that this is Tech’s way of trying to introduce Orion to changes, which will come tenfold.

My Luxury Apartment- General Script
I script this apartment complex in most of my DRs and my Waiting Room. Features like the room style change based on what reality the script is for, but the rest generally stays the same. This is the complex I shifted to the first time, all the things I would’ve enjoyed if I stayed longer.
Exterior: At the back of the complex, there’s a playground with equipment for adults too. The playground equipment can handle adult bodies using it.
Tumblr media
Basement level: At the basement level, there are storage lockers for the tenants of the apartment, a parking garage, a shop, and a convenience store. The convenience store carries a brand of microwave dinners that has a wide variety of options, and it includes many cultural dishes from various cultures. For example, one of the frozen dinner sets includes collard greens cooked with smoked ham hocks and black eyes peas, fried catfish, baked mac and cheese, and a little cup of banana pudding or candied yams. The store sells other easy to make food items, such as roux cubes for curry and egusi stew. There is also a laundromat down there, for residents that don’t have personal machines.
Tumblr media
First floor: The first floor has the lobby of the apartment building, an indoor pool and hot tub for the residents and their guests, and a hot pot restaurant. Residents get a discount at the restaurant, but it’s open to the public. It also has a gym that holds exercise, dance, and yoga classes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Second floor: There’s a small doctor’s clinic on this floor, staffed by several nurses, two pediatricians, a mental health counselor, and a few physicians. Here, residents (and our guests) can receive regular checkups, emergency aid, help with medical treatments such as dialysis, etc. Attached to the clinic is a small pharmacy where you can get cold medicines, common emergency medicines like epipens and inhalers, etc. There’s also a daycare on the other side of the building, and between them is the complex spa. The spa has masseurs trained in neuromuscular massage therapy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Third floor: A work space with computers for public use, recreational room that doubles as a movie theater with a larger screen, and an additional rec room with video game consoles, VR gaming space, and a small cafe. The first rec room is popular with older residents, while the second is more popular with the teenage residents.
Tumblr media
Penthouse: My penthouse apartment also has a balcony with seating, two guest bedrooms each with its own 3/4 bathroom, and a walk-in storage closet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rooftop: On top of the apartment complex is a community garden and an observatory. There are gardeners that maintain most of the plots, but private plots must be privately managed.
Tumblr media
Safety features: Along with normal safety features, all the windows and doors on the first and second floor, plus parking garage, have metal shutters that can be lowered during emergencies. The entire building also has an advanced fire suppression system, air purifiers, and an extensive bunker below the parking garage. Each apartment, or at least the penthouses, have security doors (thick wooden doors with metal plates in the middle and higher quality locks). All the safety features have their own failsafes.

At the sight of Denel pinned beneath a burly human male pummeling any weak point he could reach, the familiar cradle of anger seeps into every synapse within your muscles.
Poe sharply shouts your name, overpowering the jeers that fill the space of the cafeteria as you launch yourself at the man. He lets out a grunt as his back collides with the floor beside Denel, a series of other sounds quickly falling in succession as you lay crushing hits to his face. Thump thump thump your heart thunders in your ears, drowning out the crowd around you. The man attempts to shove you off, but the adrenaline coursing through your veins allows you to situate his arms to be pressed beneath your shins as you sit on his chest.
You feel a weak pull at the fabric of your shirt, but you can’t pay attention to it. The only thing that consumes you is the need to see the blood of this man splattering the floors. What the tunnel vision doesn’t allow you to see is the crowd start to get closer to the pair of you, causing a shock when an arm wraps around your middle and pulls you off.
Wiggling in their hold, you stab your elbow into their side to get back into the fight when your eyes fall to the crumpled position of Denel. Like water to a flame, the anger is seeped from your body, leaving panic in its place. Blood pours from a wound above his eyebrow like a faucet, pooling on the floor where it’s joined by a stream leaking from both nostrils.
Pulling at the person’s hold again, you screech: “Let go of me!”
The hold is released and you fall to your knees, crawling over to where he lays and skimming your shaking hands over his face to appraise him. Bruises are already starting to bloom on his face, but much to your relief, the wound above his eyebrow doesn’t appear as large as the blood flow makes it out to be. However, he’s dazed, wincing and eyes closing in pain as the fluorescent light breaks through the narrow slits that he tried to look at you through.
With a glare, you glance at the man you tackled who lays on the floor unconscious and the surrounding faces of the Resistance that had now quieted.
“And you say you are the good side.” You snarl, and their eyes guiltily dart away from where you stare them down.
You try to pull Denel up, but in his state he’s hardly able to lift himself up. He groans in effort as you get him to sit up, Poe kneeling beside you to help but you snap at him.
“I can do it.” As soon as the words leave your lips, you feel guilty. You didn’t want to take your anger out on Poe yet again, especially when you definitely couldn’t lift Denel on your own, but the betrayal you felt at your teammate being attacked festered in you.
Ignoring you, Poe softly says “No you can’t,” wrapping his arm across Denel’s shoulders. With a nod you two lift him up and settle him between you. The crowd splits to allow you to exit, everyone you pass avoiding your gaze like cowards. It seems ridiculously juvenile, and you couldn’t believe you replaced for one playground for another.
You and Poe slowly walked Denel to the med unit in silence. Disappointment towards yourself settled on your shoulders, adding to the weight of your teammate against you. Was it a good idea to come here? Verbal—and now physical— attacks were thrown at you every time you stepped out of the safety of your quarters. At the time of your escape, you considered this the only available place of safety in the galaxy, considering the experience you had in the Order. However the constant challenges against that choice were becoming tiresome.
You look over at Denel who pants in short and rapid breaths, likely due to at least one broken rib. The guy was huge. Turning your attention back to the hallways in front of you, you blankly stare at the floor.
Maybe even Tatooine would have been a better choice than this pit.
_____
You lean your back against the wall with your arms crossed as you listen to the nurses deal with the wounds that Denel sustained. A broken nose, 2 broken ribs, a concussion, and a quarter-inch gash above the eyebrow. Luckily, the unit recently was able to their hands on bacta and so he should be close to normal by at least tomorrow, but the dread stays settled in your gut.
Poe exits out of the door that stands to your left, joining you as he tenderly rubs at his ribs with a sigh. You glance at him in curiosity.
“What happened?” You asked, staring at where he rubs.
He chuckles, a smile adorning his face, “Oh you know…tried to pull a blood hungry wolf off of a someone who tried to mess with a member of her pack.” Your eyebrows pull together in concern.
“That was you?” You face him and lay your hand on his ribs, your head falling to rest of his chest, “Oh Poe—Kriff, I’m so sorry. Genuinely.” Guilt floods you and heat burns at your face. Why does this keep happening?
Poe’s hands rest on your back and he softly traces a thumb back and forth, “You should’ve seen the other guy,” He says, humor laced in his voice.
You lift your head, “Are you okay?” You ask, still concerned.
“I’m fine. Just a bruise.” His eyes trail down to your hands, where he lets his own hands fall to, lifting them up and staring at the blood that litters your knuckles.
“Throwing it back to you…are you okay? You need to see the nurses to get this taken care of.” At the warmth radiating from his palms into yours, you pull away, not wanting to unpack the feeling that you got from how comforting it was.
“It’s okay. I’ve had worse…” You trail off, but he looks less than pleased.
“I’m not having someone in my care risk the chance of infection,” Poe states, pulling you into the room where Denel lays on one of many patient beds, 3 nurses surrounding him. He weakly smiles at you as you pass, which you return.
Poe leads you to another nurse, who stands in a further corner of the room looking at a collection of supplies. You look in amusement as he explains what you need, and it’s at this moment you’re happy you have at least one person truly on your side from this base.
After being cleaned and wrapped with a medicated gauze, you sit in a chair by Denel’s side, who now looks much fresher since given his initial treatment. Poe decided he could wait outside to give the two of you space, and you appreciated the privacy it somewhat gave you considering each bed was separated by a fabric curtain.
“So,” you start, “how did you end up on the floor?”
He’s silent for a moment, pursing his lips in thought before responding. “I wasn’t expecting to be swung at. Honestly, I don’t even know what started it.” His index finger on a hand that lays across his chest starts to bounce up and down.
“I had heard him and his group talking among themselves about me. I’ve been able to tune most everything out when it comes to conversations around this base. Nothing good ever comes of listening to them…they just want to get a rise out of you to see if you fit their expectations,” He takes a staggered breath before continuing, “Maybe I ignored something he said or he took one of my self-mumblings to heart, but one moment I was standing and the next I was on the floor.”
You shake your head in disbelief. Is this really how deep the hatred lays among the people in the Resistance? Though you had to be fair—the First Order is an oppressing hand on the galaxy and you know the horrors that were done on the people who didn’t agree with how they rule.
You lean forward in your chair to allow your head to fall into your hands. “I’m sorry. We never should have come here.”
A silence rests between you again, only broken by the sounds of beeping and shuffling feet that usually accompany a med unit.
“It’s—I—,” He stumbles on his words, “I consider it karma for what I did to Kole” he says, and your head snaps up to look at him in shock. A somber and ingenuine smile lifts the corner of his mouth and you frown in return.
“That’s bantha shit, Denel. Whatever karma that may have needed to be fulfilled for Kole was done when Ren put you on death’s door. What happened today should not have happened.”
He doesn’t say anything as he just stares at you before giving a single nod, probably just to shut you up.
You look at him in earnest, “Please promise me you understand today wasn’t deserved.”
With a sigh and dramatic roll of his eyes, “I promise, Commander .” Your spine zips up like a pole was stabbed straight down your back and you suddenly felt uncomfortable to be sitting in the room.
You purse your lips and stand up slowly. “That’s not me anymore,” you say softly.
You give a small pat to his shoulder, “Get some rest.” And you leave the room, walking right past Poe.
You need to isolate yourself. Too much has happened today and all you wanted was the dark recesses of your windowless room. You can hear Poe’s footsteps behind you and the concerned call of your name, but you didn’t want to answer him. What was the point? Sure, one person on base that was consistently on your side was nice. But what about all of the others?
There were hundreds of people here that wanted you dead, for good reason. You commanded a team of killers that assassinated whole legions of people who just wanted a separate life free from the demand of the First Order. What kind of person were you to live while billions of innocents perished at the power that you enforced?
Thump thump thump your heart thunders in your ears again and your eyes get watery as you recall the blood that covered your hands hardly an hour ago. You unclench your fists that you unconsciously had tightened by your side and stare at them in horror. Why are these the hands chosen to still move when the only life they’ve known was to harm the lives of others? You arrive at your quarters and slam the button to your door, stiffly walking to your bed and collapsing on the floor to cradle your knees to your chest.
Thump thump thump your chest starts to hurt and you claw at your sternum, gasping for breath as tears cascade from your eyes. Guilt consumes you, the pain eating you from the inside as it starts to get harder and harder to breathe. You had to find somewhere to go, leave in the night to the farthest planet out of reach from the war and stay there until death inevitably calls for you. You start to shake now, tremors and shivers wracking your body as each explosion and lifeless body you’ve caused flash by your eyes, sobs leaving your mouth and—
Suddenly there’s only Poe, the warmth from his palms radiating into your shoulders as a look you could only describe as unbridled alarm molds his face.
“It’s alright, you’re okay, you’re safe,” He repeats, cycling through them and starting to rub up and down your arms.
You sniffle. “No, it’s not alright and I’m not okay. I shouldn’t even be here, Poe. All I’ve ever done is hurt people, and being here is continuing the damage I was born to do.” He stops his ministrations as he listens unblinkingly, “You of all people shouldn’t be telling me it’s okay, especially when it’s you I keep on hurting.”
Another shiver shakes your body as you continue, “I hate hurting people…I hate hurting you . And the more I think about it, the more guilty I am that I’m still alive to do it.” Sobs wrack you again and your head falls to your knees to hide your face from Poe, who never looked away as you poured out the thoughts that kept you up at night.
Instead of resuming the movement from before, he slowly slid himself next to you and maneuvered you to where you could lean against him as he wrapped his arms around you. He’s silent as he lets you cry, his thumb rubbing soothing circles until you eventually cry yourself to sleep.
______
Opening your eyes, a black abyss is all that meets you. Except…it’s not. You sit up, and the water you lay in drips down your back soundlessly into the shallow pool that caresses a sheer blood red dress that loosely holds you. A copy similar to the gray that adorns your form in the dream that meets you all other nights of the week. Unlike your other dream as well, there’s a combination of scattered whispers that feel so close and yet so far—inexplicably like they’re just out of reach.
Looking around in interest, you try to make out any other difference from what you’re beginning to get used to but see nothing before you turn your head to look straight in front of you. And then there it is.
Standing only feet in front of you, towering over where you remain seated, is a figure shrouded completely in black.
“You’ll return to what you know, child.” It says, it’s tone scratchy and deep.
“Wha—?” As you start to move to stand up, you’re shoved down by a heavy force unlike any you’ve ever known, the breath knocking straight out of you.
The water surrounding you is illuminated red as the figure pulls out a lightsaber much like the one Ren yields, their arm extends up and just as they swing down you gasp awake.
Poe startles awake as well, asking what was going on as if you knew either.
Unbeknownst to you, in a part of the galaxy far far away, joined Kylo Ren. Quickly pulling himself from his bed, he shrugged on his uniform and latched his mask. There had been a disturbance in the force.

A/N; first of all, thank you everyone for all the love i got on my Banda fic. i have a Chishiya request that is half done but I've got no clue when I'll post it. secondly, this fic was only meant to be a short 500-word one that was supposed to be posted like 2 days ago but now it's actually like 1.2k words.
TW: reader injury, gunshot injuries, mentions of blood and wounds
Tumblr media
Arisu ran like hell to avoid the bullets that were raining down on them from the mystery gunman. Their group, him, Usagi, Kuina, Chishiya and YN had split up so as not to become one big target but Arisu made sure that YN was close by as they ran.
People dropped like flies as they tried to escape, making Shibuya a giant grave site. Was it even possible to find a safe space? After all, no one had entered a game of any kind yet it didn't matter, everyone was forced to participate. Perhaps the game masters didn't want anyone to beat the games and this was the easiest solution, a massacre.
Arisu kept YN in his line of sight as they dipped and dived around abandoned cars and dead bodies but when he looked away for one second, just over his shoulder to see where the gunman was and turned back around, he couldn't see YN.
Arisu slowed to a jog, twisting his head left and right trying to find where YN was but a choked scream of his name directed his attention down to the ground a couple of feet ahead of him.
YN was on their back on the ground, their hands pressed against their torso where a shock of red was staining their green shirt.
They had been shot.
Arisu stumbled towards them, tripping over his own feet in his haste to reach them.
"S-S hit "Arisu swore, dropping down to his knees and pressing his hands over the wound applying pressure. The sounds of gunshots and bodies hitting the floor surround him but Arisu can't pull his attention away from YN.
Usagi's steps falter as she gets closer to them, the different path she took when they split up had led her back to them. The sight of YN bleeding out had made her want to join Arisu on the floor but she steeled herself and thought realistically, they needed to take YN out of the King of Spades immediate playground to give them a fighting chance otherwise they'll die here.
"We need to get them to safety!" Usagi reaches down to wrap one of YN's around her shoulders, kicking Arisu into action, prompting him to wrap YN's other arm around his shoulders and together they drag YN, who tried their hardest to keep up but eventually gave up, behind a car on a quiet street though they could still hear the gunfire in the distance.
"What happened?" Usagi frantically asked, pressing her hands against YN's wound, flinching at the pained gasp YN made.
"Got shot" YN muttered through stuttered gasps. "Obviously"
"Sorry, stupid question..."
Arisu peaked around the car, looking around trying to find a safe space whilst attempting to ignore the tacky feeling of YN 's blood on his hand.
He sees Kuina across the street hidden behind a car as well and she yells over at him,
"You'll die if you don't stay focused!"
A hail of bullets forces both of them behind their cars and Ari so turns back to Usagi and YN, who had lost some colour from their face. A loud noise comes from above as a blimp slowly comes into view, the King of Spades face card sign fluttering in the wind.
Usagi, when she realises how quiet it is, gets ready to pull YN up again, calling out to Arisu, "Arisu, we can make it now!"
Arisu quickly nods, helps her pick up YN and they run across the street where Kuina and Chishiya were.
YN had turned clammy, their breaths becoming harsher as they slumped against the car. They weren't going to last much longer at this rate, they desperately needed medical attention.
"Are you guys hurt?" Kuina asked.
"YN's been shot!"
That catches Chishiya's attention as he peers over at them before making his way over.
"Lemme see"
Arisu and Usagi are hesitant, causing Chishiya to sigh and roll his eyes, "I'm a doctor. I know what I’m doing ."
The group looks at him in disbelief.
"Seriously?" YN croaks out.
"Do you want to take that chance and refuse my help?"
"No, no" YN shakes their head and lifts up their shirt so he could take a look, "Do what you need to do"
Chishiya peered at the wound but didn't touch it, there was no way in hell he was going to risk infection.
"I need proper supplies " Chishiya muttered as he looked around them and spied a pharmacy in the distance, "We need to get there... somehow"
Just then a car beeped for their attention, pulling up carrying Tatta and Ann.
Tatta stuck himself through the window, "Get in!"
Arisu turned to Usagi and Kuina," You two get out of here and try to pull the King of Spades attention away from here, we're going to the pharmacy to help YN"
The women nodded and climbed in the car which quickly drove off.
The men picked YN up one more time and hurried to the pharmacy, causing YN to cry out in pain, “I can’t do this anymore”
“Yes you can” Arisu was quick to counter them, “We’re nearly there and Chishiya is going to help you, don’t worry”
“It hurts Arisu!” YN began to cry, the most probable reality settling in. They had survived the numbered cards and everything that came with them but here they were slowly bleeding out, close to the end.
Arisu’s words caught in his throat, tears forming in his eyes.
Chishiya glanced over at them, worry visible on his face and increased his pace.
They were feet away from the entrance when the men felt YN’s body slump further into their holds, they had passed out and now every moment was vital.

YN awoke to an extremely sore body and a pounding headache, for a moment they thought they were back in the real world waking up from a crazy night out that involved too much drinking and a dare so bad it left them with fractured ribs but the pain was so sharp that it brought them back to reality. YN peeled their eyes open, automatically reaching an arm up to wipe at them but someone holding their hand prevented them from doing so.
Arisu was fast asleep at their bedside, his hand holding theirs and his head resting on their thigh.
“Arisu?” YN whispered, their throat dry but Arisu had shot up like his name had been shouted.
“YN?” Arisu blinked at them blearily before realisation hit, “YN!”
Arisu reached to hug them before remembering the fragile state they were in.
“You’re awake…you were out for a couple of days”
YN traces their hand over their chest, “What happened?”
“Chishiya managed to save you but it was close”
YN nodded, looking around for the doctor but he was nowhere to be seen.
“He went to a game, says he was bored waiting around here”
YN let out a soft swear, setting back into the sleeping bag they had been wrapped in, “My visa.”
“We’ll find a game tomorrow, just focus on healing”
YN squeezed his hand and gave Arisu a thankful smile, “Thank you, I’ll probably be dead if it wasn’t for you”
Arisu tried to argue, “Chishiya-”
“Most people would have left me to die but you didn’t, so thank you” YN pulled their joint hands up to their lips and pressed a soft kiss to the back of Arisu’s, grinning at the soft flush that dusted his cheeks.

When you grow up outside of town in the rural Southwest, you don’t think about the desert very often. It’s not the desert, it’s just outside. It’s such a hard place, built to endure extended drought and so covered in prickly thorns as to thwart a creatures unwelcome advances, but as a kid you don’t think of it like that. It’s just where you play.
It’s teaming with life. I don’t think there was a day that I didn’t see some mix of a blue belly lizard, a caterpillar, a jackrabbit, buzzard, snake, spiders, or prairie dog. So many birds, so many butterflies and ladybugs.
Then, like a lot of rural Southwest kids, you grow up and move to places with outdoors made up of concrete and asphalt. Places with jobs, and nice movie theaters, and big box stores. Inevitably you go back home, and you pass miles of desert from the safety of your car on the freeway. You know it would be weird to take an exit, get out of the car, and just wander through the dense forest of barrel cactus, mesquite trees and creosote bushes, so you don’t.
And in my imagined world you end up there when you die. Back in the playground you grew up in, with big bold moons and fields of stars lighting up the floor covered with bristles and thorns. A place of danger, and wonder, and life. A place where you can be a kid again

I just. woke myself up laughing from a dream again. unfortunately part of the wakeup was apparently because my throat's a bit scratchy, but.
So okay during the actual day I was thinking "hey maybe I should check out either rock climbing or adult playgrounds" and my subconscious went "you want adult playgrounds? this playground rated M for MASSIVE SAFETY HAZARD" and basically was like. you had to swing around often to get places but there weren't proper nets/floors to catch you if you fell (it was implied there should've been, but. whoever was in charge rushed it?)
But in the dream I was managing to get around anyway until my guy partner fell. Luckily despite having no proper nets we still were above some trees at least so like. I heard him hitting branches and shaking leaves as he fell and it didn't sound like he'd died. But immediately a nearby young woman was like "OH LET ME TRY WITH YOU" and replaced him as my partner...and promptly immediately fell too, with a not-very-scared "ahhhh" as she too smacked into the leaves and rustled her way down, which was absurd enough for me to laugh at both my dream partners' misfortunes and wake up that way lol.
