Summary:

After the death of its previous owner, The First Bookstore is reopened under the management of the Warrior of Light, who has next to no business or retail experience and even less cash. Meanwhile, across the city, the Galvus & Sons corporation readies itself to buy out all the locally-owned bookstores in the area and replace them with their own megastore - Empire Books. When the Warrior of Light falls for Galvus & Sons' star associate disguised as a regular bookstore customer, both have to reconcile with their feelings for each other as well as their careers.

A romantic comedy heavily inspired by You've Got Mail set in an alternate universe where Sharlayan is NYC and the Ascians are an evil corporation hellbent on taking over local businesses. Featuring an all-star cast of pretty much every main character in the FFXIV universe as well as guest appearances by members of The Pudding Way FC, this fic is going to be my happy escape while I work on much darker stories. There will be 90s love song lyrics, there will be hijinks, and there will be Emet-Selch in glasses, a business suit, and a tie.
