#poppy's eah ocs
Text
Ok so, I thought I should lay out how Ever After Highs's school system works within my universe, particularly to sort out the ages for my ocs so y'all know what's going on.
Eah works like an (American) highschool, in which there are four years the students attend. It starts with their first year, which the students have dubbed the Prologue year. It's the start of students learning more about their stories and how to properly play their roles. Their second and Third years are often called Act I and Act II, and these years are where they take classes that will aid them in making sure their stories play out correctly. They end with their Epilogue Year (more commonly called Legacy Year), in which they sign the Story Book of Legends and follow in their parents footsteps.
In the au I have with my OCS this is how everyone is year wise
Prologue Year - Declan 'December' Hare, Kingston White, Chancellor Cheshire, Humphrey Dumpty, Nina Thumbell
Act I Year - Winonah Pooh, Peony Porcelet, Cedar Wood, Ginger 'Breadhouse', Tucker Belle, Farrah Goodfairy, Faybelle Throne, Hopper Croskington III, Willow Darling
Act II Year - Dexter Charming, Darling Charming, Apple White, Kitty Cheshire, Lizzie Hearts, Madeline Hatter, Raven Queen, Holly O'Hair, Poppy O'Hair, Aspen O'Hair, Tillie Tigger, Briar Beauty, Ashlyn Ella, Courageux Lâche, Penelope Rabbit, Cerise Hood, Chase Redford, Rosabella Beauty, Pearson Pan
Epilogue - Augustine Ella, Emmaline White, Sylvester Bishop, Nacrine Neptune, Daring Charming, Oleander Beauty, Ramona Badwolf, C.A Cupid, Juliette Pendragon, Rosie Midas, Harriet Lapine, Dorian Dormouse, Katherine Boots, Duchess Swan, Justine Dancer, Hunter Huntsman, Jeremy Cricket, Jillian Beanstalk, Mindy Pillar, Melody Piper

on your post about how destiny actually works in ever after i wanted to share some of my thoughts!!!
firstly, (ive had this one in my mind since i watched the show as a kid) they introduce the characters as "abc, daughter/son of xyz" and their stories are continued through the generations, so, for some, wouldn't their forever after partner's parent, be their parent too??? like okay there's apple white, daughter of snow white and daring charming, son of king charming LIKE HOW DOES THAT WORK???? when snow white was fulfilling her destiny wasn't it king charming that woke her up???? like how does that work
also, it's only daring and apple who are (at first) set for each other, everyone knows daring will wake apple from her sleep but the rest of the princesses don't have their princes what about briar? ashlynn?
then, it seems only the first born has to follow in their parents' fairytale footsteps like in the case of holly and poppy so what do the younger siblings do? what's their destiny like dexter charming, he had a page in the book of legends but had no story to go with it
this is a lot but im really awestruck with how destiny is such a fickle thing, apparently your destiny can be taken away from you just by signing in the book of legends, it's not even confirmed i suppose, it can change like how daring ended up with rosabella and not apple, etc etc
destiny in ever after high has so much untapped potential i love rotating it in my mind so thank you so much for this ask!
first off, eah has confirmed that there are four unrelated charming clans from which fairytales draw their sundry heroes so it's logical to assume that all current kings charming serving as their famous fairytale wives' arm candy come from different clans as the princes charming slated for their daughters' destinies. briar's prince i always assumed to be unknown due to the fact that she won't meet him in another hundred years. apple's prince being determined from the beginning i've always chalked up to the snow white tale being so important that grimm, snow and co. all felt the need to lock the details down as early as possible. pair the most eligible princess in the land with the most eligible prince in the land and chain their destinies together before fate gets other ideas and all that.
also YES, the birth order aspect of fairytale inheritance itches at my brain soooo hard. does the destiny go only down the line of the eldest? if the protagonists of the tale are siblings, are the next protagonists their respective firstborns and thus cousins? or does the destiny lineage go to whoever in the birth order has the most important role? can you be chosen randomly for a tale that wasn't in your family? and it's made even more confusing bc eah canon says "both! all! yes!" the rapunzel destiny falls to the eldest twin. the current hansel and gretel destiny falls to cousins. the dancing princess destiny goes all the way down the line of the youngest daughter. the charmings are all expected to fill in as either heroes or damsels for whatever tale needs them. it's WILD.
my personal interpretation is that just to cover all the bases, grimm keeps the school open to all descendants of the major players until they know for certain who destiny has the most affinity with. case in point: justine dancer only being confirmed as the twelfth princess when she started sleepdancing in the webisodes despite all eleven of her older sisters having been chosen beforehand. it makes one wonder if there's a method to knowing which sister needs to have the full dozen (the eldest? the youngest?) or if ALL the madames try to get all the way to twelve Just In Case. could you imagine the family gatherings? hell.
(i love thinking of the dancing princess eldritch nightmare family orchard. one of my eah ocs is the seventh daughter of the seventh dancing princess who's only here bc it would have looked unsporting if nobody from their branch came, despite all signs pointing to justine, and she didn't really have alternative plans. she's just chilling. at least until miss mabinogion crashes into her life and she finds herself playing co-conspirator to a certain flower-faced adulteress's Operation Goodbye Earl.)
i think bc of the sleepdancing there's a lot of flexibility in the line-up of the twelve princesses, so they can be siblings down the line of whoever married the soldier, or they can be firstborn cousins, or they can be first daughter of the first daughter, second daughter of the second, etc. etc. no matter how hard grimm et al. try to hammer down destiny, every retelling still finds a way to veer off the rails. so every contradictory version of every fairytale you've ever heard? probably happened at one point. it was never gonna be science.
another thing i'm really interested in are destinies where the protagonist has to become their child's villain. you ever think about how the juniper tree cycle would necessitate the butchered child eaten by their father to become the parent that eats their child? eah never went that hard but i can. i will. (miss juniper tree rounds out my eah oc roster and she is appropriately furious about it.) cyclical destinies where happy endings don't mean jack are sooo good.
also yes!! that whole thing where destiny doesn't even play by the rules of the people who try to corral it (darling is apple's prince, daring is the beast, raven is one of the seven dwarves, etc. etc.) even when the Book is in play is just !!!!!!! really makes it feel like destiny is a much larger and more powerful force than anybody can really reckon with.

can we get EAH au HCs for mysme pals and ocs 😎
That's a toughy. I'm not sure even where I would place all of the Mystic Messenger characters if I tried to translate them into Ever After High! Like, I'm going to have to sit here and think about it and see what strikes me as a possible reality where these things work out the way they should.
I have a rough idea but I never think about this enough. Because I want to give them their own stories instead of going off of the ones that we have in EAH, but it's easier for me to use them as a rough guide.
Yoosung Kim is likely... hm, the son of the Frog Prince. It just makes sense that he would be a very simple fairytale. He's kind of nervous and anxious. He would turn into a frog trying to talk to an MC that he thinks is pretty.
Yoosung wants to be flirty and forward with his emotions, but he's always tongue-tied and comparing himself to others. So, he's just waiting for his perfect kiss to help him become the prince that he's always been, but this time, he can actually see it.
Zen strikes me as a man that was born into a destiny that he didn't want to have. As in, it's very possible that Zen doesn't think he has a destiny because his older brother has one and it seems fairly pointed that if he has a destiny, it might just be like his sibling's.
Perhaps he avoids Ever After High like the plague if he can, he's forced into going by his parents, but he really doesn't want to live to see the day where he opens the book and sees the stuffy fantasy ahead of him. He definitely wants to be an actor, still, but he does not know his fate yet. Which is true of many male characters.
In another timeline, I might just say he's Cinderella's son since, in MM, he identifies so strongly with that.
Jaehee deserves a relaxed story. She could also very well be from a tragic fairytale. My heart says that she deserves a destiny where she just counts sheep as Little Bo Peep. But, there's another part of me that says that to question the possibility of her being the child of a princess that is fated for doom and despair the same way that her parents were?
Think of her being treated poorly by her aunt and uncle because of her destiny to come. I think of the swan princess and that makes my heart ache but... can you imagine that? Knowing that she's fated to be a swan forever? Yeah, that's gotta hurt a lot. She would try to be in her destiny to honor her line, but it would hurt.
Jumin strikes me as a man committed to his destiny. I see him as someone in the role of a family that is well-respected and honored. I can think of no greater title than to give him Snow White. As you know if you watch Ever After High, you know that Apple was more or less forced to be a perfectionist by her mother to gain affection, and that's not even counting the near-death experience that made her only believe she's safe in happily ever after.
I can see Jumin accepting his fate and leaning into it because he is oriented towards tradition... but if he's always pushing himself, is he really happy? It makes sense for him to be the Apple, because he's always trying to look out for others but neglects to look after himself when he needs it. Also, Apple and Briar are best friends, and since I see V as the Briar...
V is likely the son of Sleeping Beauty, actually. I don't think why I see it this way but I think there's something very telling about V trying to make the most of his life knowing that someday, he's going to fall into a deep sleep and lose everyone that he loves.
So, it makes sense that he might pour himself into trying to help others and give every part of himself away with what little time he has with his loved ones now. Because he'll lose everyone that isn't a part of his story when he pricks his finger. Everyone will be dead sans those that are in his story.
Seven and Saeran are the trickiest part because they need to be together to have the same destiny. I don't know a lot of stories with twins involved but going from Ever After High, I honestly read into the boys being the twins that are fated much like Holly and Poppy, who are Rapunzel's kids. The thing is, Holly wants to be Rapunzel, and Poppy doesn't, but birth order is how destiny is chosen.
A mistake is made and Poppy is actually the next Rapunzel, so they lie to let Holly have her destiny. So, in this sense. I think that it's very likely for Saeyoung to give his destiny for his twin, I'm not sure if it would be Rapunzel, but I like leaning into this idea that Saeyoung gives up his happily ever after so Saeran can be happy.
Rika is likely... well, I’ve seen her drawn as the witch from Hansel and Gretel, often. That’s possible for her. It would sting a little knowing that she’s been pushed to be that way because of destiny and fate, but it’s the most possible circumstance and it would add into more of why her adoptive family just... hated her so much.
And as far as my MCs go... I'm going to cry about that because I'm not sure.

#32 for eah ocs
32. what do they dress like? what sorta shops do they buy clothes from? do they wear the fashion that they like? What do they wear to sleep? do they wear makeup? what’s their hair like?
cari has a very dark blue themed palate, and wears a lot of flowy, indian-esque clothing. she has dark blue hair that’s usually half up and she wears a cropped tank top and long, flowing pants to sleep. she wears tyher character motifs are smoke and poppies.
dorothea literally lives in pastels. her “basic doll” dress has a furred collar like bunny’s, but with brown fur, and a top patterned with pillows and a skirt with a spoon pattern on it. she’d be very into pastel lolita if she lived in our world. her character motifs are spoons (with or without sugar cubes) and pillows.
september wears pinks and yellows! she likes vests and skirts and would be very into 1940s style. she wears short shorts and an oversized tee shirt to sleep. her character motifs are tea cakes!
lmao i’m not 100% done with their designs yet sorry some of these are more detailed than others
send me a number and an oc and i’ll answer it!

Tell me all about the relationships that Dorian Dormouse, Penelope Rabbit, Sylvester Bishop, Chancellor Cheshire, and Declan Hare have with each other and the canon Wonderland kids!! (This will probably be a long one, sorry!)
Dorian Dormouse -
Madeline Hatter - They get along too well, Dorian often sleeps in her hat while in his mouse form. The two of them grew up together, only being a year apart, and consistently being at the tea table allows for them to have constant contact with one another, hence their strong bond. Dorian sees Maddie as a younger sister, and as his fairy best friend. Maddie loves it when Dorian takes his mouse form, and when they were younger she would host tea parties for him and Earl Grey (her mouse pet.) The two are often together, though most don't know it because Dorian is sleeping in Maddie's hat.
Lizzie Hearts - While they are friends, Lizzie views Dorian as somewhat of a pest. When they all arrived in Ever After, after escaping the Wonderland curse, Dorian found himself very homesick, and while Maddie was his fairy best friend, he found comfort in Lizzie a lot. The two of them would have long talks about life and the like back in wonderland, and she just felt safe, so he'd end up turning into a mouse and sneaking his way into her room, so Lizzie would wake up with a small, spotted mouse curled up on her pillow. And while she understood for a time why it was happening, it became a habit for Dorian, even after he settled in, and now it's just a slight inconvenience to her. It's a situation that just needs to be talked about rather than letting it summer but neither want to approach the situation. . .perhaps there's something more there then meets the eye
Kitty Cheshire - These two are a mystery to almost everyone. Constantly playing a game of cat and mouse, but who's the cat and who's the mouse? No one can tell for sure. While an interesting duo, it's easy to tell their friends once you take a closer look, you can often find them cuddled up in their car and mouse forms respectively, dozing away in a patch of sunlight.
Bunny Blanc - A pair of rodents, they'd definitely get along, right? Wrong. These two cannot stand one another, like at all. You can feel the tension in the room if they happen to be together, and it's not something you want to mess with. They won't tell anyone what their issue is, but the other Wonderlandians seem to know, but won't share. They just make sure everyone is out of the way in case the day comes where Dorian and Bunny decide to hash out whatever problems they have
Alistair Liddel - Seemingly indifferent towards one another, even with the whole beef with Bunny. They don't speak much, but when they do it's friendly and civil. They respect one another and their roles in their story, it seems as if they were friends at one point but nothing has directly pointed to that.
Mindy Pillar - Mindy hangs out with Dorian a lot of the time, asking him weird questions that he usually doesn't answer because he's asleep. Mindy has said that she does this to get her own brain working and to find an answer to the questions herself, or at least what the answer is to her. Because Mindy sews and quilts, with the very softest of silks and fibers, Dorian goes to her to make him comfy pillows and blankets and all sorts of things to make his bed more comfortable, and she enjoys making them for him.
Sylvester Bishop - They have a healthy respect for one another, but seemingly nothing beyond that. Unlike Maddie, Sylvester didn't grow up around Dorian, so they never had the chance to bond like Dorian and his sister. One would consider them acquaintances at most. Though over the course of time that does change, and the two end up being good friends after a while at Ever After High.
Chancellor Cheshire - Dorian acts as an older brother figure to Chancellor, and loves every minute of it. Much like him and Kitty, Chancellor likes to find sunny spots to nap in with Dorian, though this often results in Dorian getting some kind of prank pulled on him, whether it be getting marker drawn all over his face, or something else. He's always a good sport for Chancellor's pranks, and he and Kitty often get the young Cheshire back for his antics.
Declan Hare - His relationship with Declan is much the same as his relationship with Chancellor, growing up together makes Dorian an older brother figure to Declan.
Sylvester Bishop -
Madeline Hatter - Sylvester and Maddie view their relationship very differently. Sylvester sees their relationship as strained and he finds Maddie slightly annoying, though he does love his sister and if push comes to shove he'd do anything for her. Maddie on the other hand, though she isn't ignorant to the fact that she and Sylvester don't have the greatest sibling relationship, thinks they're doing better than they had been previously, especially while they were in Wonderland. Sylvester doesn't avoid his sister, but he doesn't actively seek her out. . For the most part that is. There have been a few quiet days where the two have been found cuddled up and sleeping with a tea set in front of them. Despite their differences, there's no doubt they're each other's rocks.
Lizzie Hearts - Sylvester and Lizzie are rivals to the core. Though they do it in a dignified and proper way, everything between them is a challenge. They've been rivals ever since they were young, and it's kept up as they've gotten older. Some may say it's annoying to hear them bicker and fight about trivial things but for the Wonderlandians, a day where these two are going off on each other is a bad day indeed.
Kitty Cheshire - Kitty and Sylvester get along actually quite well. Kitty learned her lesson on messing with him quite some time ago, and from then on, the pair seem to enjoy one another's company. Kitty seems to act as Sylvester's right hand cat, feeding him information and things she gathers throughout her day. These two seem to be very close.
Bunny Blanc - Sylvester doesn't mind Bunny, but he doesn't actively like her either, he's indifferent towards the rabbit girl for the most part, except when she's consistently late to royal matters she's supposed to be the courier for.
Alistair Liddel - Even though Alistair plays the biggest role in all the Wonderlandians stories, Sylvester cannot stand him. Everything he does just seems to upset Sylvester and no one seems to really know why as when asked about it, Sylvester just gets upset and frustrated. Perhaps he's upset Alistair would rather travel the world than play his role as the next Alice in Wonderland.
Mindy Pillar - These two are indifferent towards one another, there's not much more to say than that. Though their friendship grows a little as time goes on, they're not as close to each other as they are with the other Wonderlandians.
Chancellor Cheshire - Sylvester finds Chancellor. . Annoying to say the least. He tries to stay out of the young Cheshire's way to avoid his haphazard mischief but it doesn't always work out that way. Occasionally Sylvester gets caught up in one of his schemes so you'll see the prince trailing after Chancellor with a disgruntled look on his face.
Declan Hare - These two don't interact much, like how he is with Mindy, Sylvester, due to not interacting too much with Declan, doesn't really have an opinion on him.

Is Rosie Midas a Monster High transfer, since her father is from Greek mythology like Cupid's dad and Deuce's mom?
So she's actually not! The rules between Monster High and Ever After High are super interesting imo and there's a lot to play with, here's my take on some of it. I firmly believe all mythos and gods of any kind/religion (greek, Roman, Indian, etc.,) all originate from Ever After due to the fact that they're considered 'stories' or 'fabrications'. Basically they were tales passed down through the generations much like modern fairy tales (whether they're true or not who knows.) However, anything seen as 'monstrous' or non-human could attend Monster High despite originating from Ever After (I also headcanon that Ever After, while canonically split up into 'Kingdoms' (as seen in Epic Winter (which btw I despise with all my soul) when looking for the roses, is made up of various other places that have specific ways to get to them (I.E Wonderland.) These places being catered to specific mythos and what not (like Mount Olympus for example is where the Greek Gods and Goddesses would be.) So, creatures like Harpys, Giants, Cyclops, etc., all are able to be in the Monster High world but originate from Ever After. It's why you see those types of monsters within Monster High (Iris whose a cyclops, Manny whose a minotaur, the one fusion girl whose part harpy, etc.)
Deuce would be considered a 'monster' due to his mother being a gorgon, (much like Viperine, his cousin!) But, because his mother is THE Medusa from Greek Mythos, he could also attend Ever After High if it was a known thing within the Monster World, he's based upon a story, not exactly a fairy tale, but a myth which were the fairy tales back in Ancient Greece, (Draculaura would technically also fit into this Category, as she's the daughter of Dracula himself and he's fictional, but she's a whole topic for another post.) My personal headcanon for Medusa (and various other creatures who originate from Ever After) is that at one point, there was a known way to get between the two 'worlds' and you could cross freely (i.e tourism) but Milton decided enough of that because it was influencing his students to embrace their freaky flaws and be who they wanted to be instead of signing the book (this is where the whole 'if you don't follow your story you'll disappear' thing comes from. Medusa left Ever After (because of the way she has been treated due to Poseidon's misdeeds not her own. What happened to Medusa WAS NOT and NEVER WILL BE her fault. She was a victim like many other women in Greek Mythos) , therefor her part in Greek Mythos hasn't been fulfilled for a long time because her son (Deuce) is in Monster High and not at Every After so he cannot sign the book.
As for C.A Cupid, hers is a little more uhm complicated to say the least. She's stated to be the adopted Daughter of Eros in Every After High, and the adopted daughter of Cupid in Monster High. This makes things a little complicated due to Eros and Cupid technically being the same entity but not at the same time. Eros is the Roman equivalent of Cupid (different from C.A Cupid herself, they're one in the same and yet the Roman versions of the gods are different from the Greek versions so various extents depending on who you're speaking about, so it's hard to decide where she would accurately belong, especially when it comes to the back that in both worlds (I use worlds lightly as I considered them different like pocket dimensions or something, I need to hammer that out) C.A Cupid is adopted. In Monster High it's stated she's an unknown being, no one quite knows where she fits categorically, though a lot of the fandom has accepted her as a bone elemental (which I can agree with, at least for her state of being in Monster High.) Here's where my explanation for Cupid comes into play, Eros/Cupid (not OUR Cupid) has an identity in both worlds, much like C.A Cupid herself. Because there is still a way to go between Monster High and Ever After (as seen by C.A Cupid using it in one of the episodes of EAH) Eros/Cupid was able to go between the two (love is needed in all places, right?) And he still is able to, but he sent C.A Cupid to Ever After so both places were covered (somehow the way they had to go between worlds was shattered (coughwonderlandcursecough) so C.A Cupid is stuck in Ever After. To get to the point here, C.A Cupid IS NOT a goddess. It's unknown what she is in both places. In Ever After she is called a cherub, while in Monster High she's a bone elemental. C.A Cupid's bow is the only thing that allows her to do Cupid/Eros's job. She doesn't have love magic herself, at least not to her knowledge or anyone else's. She's simply an unknown entity. But, because of her adoptive family and Cupid/Eros's role in both worlds (in Monster High, Cupid/Eros would be considered a love monster/emotion manipulator (kinda like a witch or a sorcerer but one who specializes in love of all kinds) C.A. Cupid is known in both Ever After and at Monster High and could at one point travel freely between them.
As for Rosie, she's considered a human. She has no monster like abilities or powers, no horns or anything that would make her considered monstrous. She's simply a human cursed to have everything she touches turn into gold. Theoretically she could attend Monster High, but she wouldn't fit into any sort of category of monster or anything. Not even the category of sorcerer or witch because she can't manipulate gold or other metals, her touch just turns stuff into gold. While I quoted Frozen in her little blurb, she and Elsa are quite different in how they would be categorized. Elsa would be considered an ice elemental, a sorceress, therefore she'd have a category and a place within the Monster World, Rosie doesn't. She can't be considered a sorceress because she can't manipulate the gold she creates. By all accounts she'd be considered a normie like Jackson.
All in all, Rosie originates from the same place Deuce and others like Iris come from, which is Ever After. Could she theoretically go to Monster High? Of course because they'd accept her for who she is (Monster High is all about acceptance after all) but she doesn't come from there! Going back to C.A Cupid for a brief moment, it's unknown where she came from because she just showed up on Eros/Cupid's doorstep one day as an infant so her origin is still lost in the universe.
Sorry for the long answer fjsjfjso I hope it all makes some kind of sense.

Tell me about Pearson Pan & Willow Darling
Also, Willow's thoughts on Darling Charming?
Pearson and Willow grew up apart, despite how close their parents came to be. Pearson was raised in Neverland, along with Tucker Belle, the son of Tinker Belle, whereas Willow was raised in her mother's old home, coddled and cherished by her family.
The two don't cross paths often, even at Ever After High. The only things Willow knows about her destiny are the stories her mother told her about her trips to Neverland, and what she's learned from her teachers at Ever After High. She seems to be indifferent towards her role in the story, neither saying she wants to sign the book or not, even when the destiny conflict arises. She takes no effort in trying to get to know Pearson, and doesn't have an interest in doing so.
Pearson seems to be the same way with Willow as she is with him. He doesn't have much of an interest in her and seems indifferent to their story. The two live separate lives and have separate groups of friends, nothing forces them to cross paths and interact. . . something which Milton Grimm has come to notice. . . something he's decided to take action on by enlisting the help of someone easily manipulated.
As for Willow and Darling, they actually run in the same friend group! Along with Cupid, Raven , Cerise and a few others! Willow and Darling like to play fun at their names, saying things like if they ever got married would Darling become Darling Darling? And things of that nature.
