Okay so. (Mostly under a read more)

Originally, Foxy's Kid's Cove took up the entirety of the daycare area. The whole place was a pirates adventure themed play area, with all sorts of cool shit in it - that's a whole post for another time - and there was no daycare. The theatre, was always a cinema originally, with a stage for the occasional show put on by Foxy. It only ever showed Fazbear brand movies, and after it's initial hype wore off, the place very quickly tanked in popularity due to low variety. This is where Sunny and Moon come in.

They were introduced to lean more into the theatre aspect. They were the main acts, with fun panto performances and quiet games that kept the little ones occupied and quiet while movies played on the big screen. All fun and games! They work with Foxy fairly frequently and have free range over the rest of the Cove as well when they're on wandering hours so they're fine and pretty well loved characters.

Now this is where the problems start to arise.

There was no daycare. Sunny and Moon were the closest they had and they were supposed to be performers not daycare attendants. And yet, that's what they, (and most of the other animatronics but those two specifically) were treated as by many a guardian. It was easy to drop the kids with Sunny and Moon while a movie was on and have their teenage sibling caretakers vanish on them, with many parents and guardians doing similar things. This isn't necessarily too detrimental. Sunny and Moon can handle it, and the other animatronics can too, even if it gets a bit hectic at times. Fazbear Entertainment sees this as a non-issue, and instead focus on trying to get more money out of the situation by charging parents extra or trying to have staff or Sunny and Moon keep track of each kid long enough to charge them for every show and movie they were there for. A pretty hard task given how many kids come and go so it's um. Not going particularly great.

But then they introduce Chica as the brand new animatronic to the scene. Her theme is all about fitness, health and food. Exercise programs are her main draw and she draws in a wide range of crowds, but primarily she brings in an older audience of parents with their very young kids. Mazercise gradually becomes a place much more frequented by yoga loving parents that need a place to hangout while the kids play in the maze, mostly unsupervised. Chica can handle that and Fazbear Entertainment will take whatever money it can get so they just limit Chica's wandering hours a bit so she can do more stuff with the kids specifically.

Now, leaving kids to the maze can work fine with many of the kids, but it often isn't enough and gets incredibly boring after a while. So, some more parents start to figure they can leave their kids with other animatronics. Again, there is no daycare. There is no place where these younger kids can go where they can be cared for properly. With more little kids in need of supervising, other animatronics are starting to struggle a bit, with accidents starting to become more common. But ya know, Faz Ent is no stranger to those so it's whatever. Anyway.

The thing with little kids in the theatre in particular is that quite simply, you cannot charge a toddler for watching more than one movie or performance. There are attempts to get that money out of parents, but it's very difficult to do when all they have to do is show up and Sunny and Moon take care of it the best they can. With Chica's new attraction now bringing in more and more parents with younger kids that get bored and needy during the exercise programs, they need a place to go.

They need a daycare.

With demand so high, and Fazbear Ent seeing this as a massive opportunity for profits, they look at what they have, and start to run the numbers. Over the next year, they figure out which attraction is costing them the most money and start to phase it out. This attraction is Kids Cove. The area that will become the daycare is left to break down until kids lose interest in it and Foxy becomes the bigger part of the attraction. The largest parts of Kids Cove are closed off for rebranding. The space is given to the animatronic that deals with the most toddlers on the daily, and that is Sunny and Moon. They're removed from the theatre and to make up the time slots, Foxy is given shows to perform down there with the others as special guests on his adventures instead.

With the majority of his attraction gone and Foxy so often needing repairs due to the nature of the attraction and his general personality, it is only a matter of time before he's retired.

Now, how is this indirectly because of Chica and not Sunny, Moon or anyone else involved? There was always a need for a daycare, yes, but Chica's introduction and her main Mazercise attraction are what made that demand so high. It was nowhere near as huge before Chica was brought in and drew all the yoga parents into the Plex.

Is it her fault? No not at all. By merely existing and doing her job, she pushed over the first domino in the row though. I'll need to run the numbers on the years again, but I'm not sure how hung about him she'd be on all of this either. Ya girl's got a few friendship making problems for quite a few of those initial years after all!

But yeah, that's a good little section of my timeline right there. There's other stuff happening around there too since things tend to overlap, but that's what's most relevant. Enjoy!

Explaining Eclipse (A Theory/Headcanon)

Spoilers for the Ruin DLC below!

Okay so I've been thinking so much about Eclipse and what they mean. You know, as you do XD. Just a lot of wondering what they mean for the ~lore~ and how they fit in with the rest of the Sun and Moon stuff. And after a lot of thinking, I may have figured stuff out.

I've seen a couple posts wondering if Eclipse is the way the Daycare Attendant is "supposed to be" and if Sun and Moon are the result of the DCA breaking down or something. But personally I just can't see that. Not only do we hear Sun go "thank you" after the Eclipse encounter, implying he's still around and hasn't permanently "fused" into Eclipse, but it also wouldn't make sense with stuff in Security Breach. In-game Fazbear merchandise and advertising have a lot of focus on Sun and Moon as two separate individuals, not the DCA as a single unit. For example, see the giant golden statues outside of Daycare. Two different forms of the Daycare Attendant. Collectibles are also identified as "Sun" and "Moon." It's not like they're labeled "Eclipse Doll (Sun form)" or "Moon Eclipse Doll." No, it's just "Sun Doll" and "Moon Doll."

So here's how I think it works. Sun and Moon are two separate AIs within the DCA body. They can function on their own, independent of the other, in the way we've been thinking this whole time. BUT they're also designed to join together, like interlocking puzzle blocks. Two separate forms that come together to make a "whole" that's greater than the sum of the parts.

This makes sense from a programming perspective. Sun is designed to play with kids and entertain them, Moon is designed to watch over kids while they sleep. They're both made for specific scenarios, but taking care of kids is a lot more complicated than just "play time" and "nap time." So whenever one of them encounters something they can't deal with by themselves, they call for help from the other, who activates as well, combining their features and protocols. I'm willing to bed this also activates several specific "Eclipse" features that can only be accessed when both AIs are active, which would explain why Eclipse has such a different personality.

But if this is the case, then why haven't we seen Eclipse before? Why did they only come out when Cassie rebooted the DCA?

Well that's where this theory by @dana-chan-the-control-brain and @twinanimatronics comes in. The two of them theorized that the Balloon World arcade cabinet in the DCA's room was some sort of signal broadcaster that kept their AIs divided. I think that Ruin confirms this—or at least provides a lot of solid evidence.

In the main game, Balloon World is in the DCA room, up and active and with a form of Eclipse inside. In Ruin, the Balloon World cabinet is broken. And you can see weird purple glitches coming from it while in AR vision. It's only in Ruin, after the cabinet has been damaged, that we finally meet Eclipse.

This is venturing a bit into headcanon territory, but let's have some fun with this. I believe that the Balloon World cabinet was put in the DCA's room to infect them with the virus. Probably a long time before the events of the actual game, since the worn-down state of the room shows it's been a while since any human or robot cleaners were in there. This might have been some sort of test run to see if the virus could affect the animatronics.

However, the virus couldn't affect the DCA while Eclipse was there, acting as a sort of stabilizing failsafe for Sun and Moon. So the virus then cut off the "fuse" function from Sun and Moon, locking Eclipse away and preventing them from stepping in when Sun or Moon encounter something strange—strange like a virus. Sun probably couldn't be affected by the virus because the virus attacks nighttime and/or security protocols, and he no longer had access to those once Eclipse was gone. Moon, however, did. And that's why he's hostile.

But then, if the Balloon World cabinet was keeping Eclipse contained, why were Sun and Moon still freaking out in Ruin even after the cabinet was destroyed? Why did they need Cassie to reboot them?

Well, I think that forming Eclipse requires both Sun and Moon to want to fuse together. And Moon clearly doesn't want to do that in Ruin. Why? Probably because he's mad at Sun. You can hear how angry he is in voice lines where he says stuff like "No more Sun!" and "No more light!" (Seriously, props to Kellen Goff, holy shit.) Moon was only able to be "awake" for short periods of time in the main game, partially because Sun was encouraging everyone to "Keep the lights on." Of course Moon would be pissed and want to be in control now that the lights are broken. He wasn't about to risk losing that .

But not having Eclipse around was ultimately damaging Sun and Moon. They were meant to stabilize the system when the two individuals couldn't do that alone. Not to mention their systems were already damaged, judging by Moon's increased light sensitivity in Ruin. They needed Eclipse so they could be stable again.

Cassie rebooting the DCA's systems was a lot like restarting your computer. Everything shuts down and then all the systems start running again at once—including, in this case, both Sun and Moon's AIs and whatever Eclipse functions were now restored. That's why Eclipse was in control after the reboot. Presumably, the rest of the software damage was also fixed, which probably helped calm Moon down. So, overall, a happy ending.

Relatively, I mean. The DCA is still stuck in an abandoned Pizzaplex, but at least Eclipse is back and Sun and Moon aren't fighting anymore :)

as much fun as the crossover fics where some character(s) either replace Gregory or join him in the events of Security Breach are, the much funnier and MUCH more under-utilized aspect is the reverse.

Slap Gregory and Freddy (post-game) into other situations. Just put them in there. Have other universes have to deal with an 8-foot quarter-ton talking himbo robot bear and his tiny feral human son. what do you even DO with that? the possibilities for interesting stories and hilarious reactions are endless.

the post-ruin Readerbot AU, where Readerbot wakes up from a nice lil nap to. Well. Ruin. And two new,, friends?

You were in a charging stasis during the events of Security Breach and were trapped there until the events of Ruin, completely unaware of what's happened. You remember the animatronics beginning to act oddly, and, of course, Moon, and maybe a weird security guard, but waking up to the 'Plex in shambles, the Glamrocks far beyond broken, and not a single human person in sight... That's a bit jarring, to say the least.

The very first thing you are greeted with upon powering on is, of course, a couple thousand error codes and 'emergency repair' alerts that have just been waiting for you to turn on to bombard you with a nice helping of sensory overload <3 The next? A mini musicman running at you full speed, not slowing down or swerving, hitting you directly in the shins and knocking you flat on your ass. Congrats! Your head has been re-broken. Welcome back to the pizza-plex, bitch. :)

You wander around the 'plex, too confused and shocked by the, y'know, everything, to even begin to think about what they should panic over first. You cross paths with Chica, who doesn't even acknowledge you, and Monty, who only growls as you pass by, then... You stop in your tracks. Technically, you've never been in the daycare, it was always off-limits. But a lot of your old protocols have expired... And you've always been curious...

You barely step into the ruined-daycare before nearly being knocked over by a familiar, and equally as unfamiliar, attendant.

Eclipse assumes you are there to help clean up the daycare! And he's so polite, and he reminds you a lot of Sun, with a little of Moon's mischievousness (this, admittedly, is much more harmless than Moon's had been, but the comparison is still there)...

Y- yeah of course you're there to help! Just lead the way!!

Eclipse seems extremely relieved to have someone to talk to- he must not be used to being on his own?- and, really, he ends up not... letting you do much. He doesn't want you to wear yourself out, and that's much to heavy to ask you to carry, and what if something fell or broke and you got damaged?? Management hasn't been answering any messages yet, who knows how long it would be until they could get you fixed properly!! :( (Mostly you just stand there and nod as he talks, or maybe holding something small and unimportant while he does the actual work. It's... endearing, but your inner staffbot is restless and sad at having nothing to do.)

Eventually, you come up with a compromise- you'll be his emotional support assistant while he works on fixing up the daycare, in the mean time, you'll fix the electrical issues and patch him up as you find more and more materials to do so. He seems pleased enough, and, you realize after a while, starts to really like being fixed up.

Then, one day, while scavenging around, you find a busted arcade cabinet. You go to take a look to see if it has anything worth repurposing, and the next thing you know you're waking up on the floor in front of cabinet as it smolders and melts. Well, there wasn't likely to be anything worth taking, anyway.

You realize later that you've picked up a sort of... virus. It's more like you picked up another passenger, a new voice to live inside your own head when before there had been just yours.

He's... strange. It takes him a little while to realize that you can hear him and respond to his voice, but when he does, he seems pleased. He's not exactly a chatterbox in the same way Eclipse is, but he has lots of questions and lots of ideas. The only issue is, well, to be honest, they aren't very good.

It surprises you, the first time he tells you to do something. "Push him over the edge," he demands as you stand behind Eclipse on top of one of the taller structures in the daycare. It wouldn't decommission him, but it would surely break at least one of his limbs. No, no, that was a bad idea, you thought to yourself. "But he's always been more loved than you, hasn't he? Don't you just want to see him suffer even just a fraction as much as you have over these years? Don't you want to break him to a dozen little, helpless pieces?"

Well, no, not really.

"Fine. Have it your way. One of these days, he's going to hurt you, just as he did before. And you're going to WISH you had listened to me."

When you finally got to the point of realizing this other voice WAS an entire other AI currently residing in the slim gaps yours left behind, one of the first things you did was ask him what he was called. It seemed only polite, after all.

"Eclipse."

Huh. That was going to get confusing.

Due to my reminders not working I only just realised that tomorrow (from when this is posted) marks a special occasion:

May 19th marks the anniversary for the day the first FNAF Security breach: Ruin DLC trailer was revealed!

Why is this a special occasion? Because it was the first time we visibly saw who came to be revealed as Ruin Eclipse! (Ruin Eclipse day?/Ruin reveal-versary?)

(Anyone else remember the absolute hype we had from this particular moment? asdghf)

While it may be a little short notice, would anyone be interested in a mini magma collab for the occasion? Considering having the collab open from the 19th for about three or so days to give people a chance to doodle in there. Plotting on setting up a table on a canvas for people to add Eclipses of many types in there to celebrate (or Sun or Moon related things if you don't have any Eclipses in mind!)

Okay, so I finally have made enough progress to where I can officially announce my FNAF Security Breach comic, Glitched Entropy!

It is a retelling of SB, but with some changes such as Vanny and Vanessa being fully separate people.

Just an FYI: I absolutely believe Vanny and Vanessa are the same person, it’s basically confirmed at this point & I think their characters are much more interesting that way! This project is just for fun, it’s simply exploring a different version of SB’s story. It’s not meant to act as a theory :D

This AU features all of the characters in Security Breach, as well as some new faces (shown below):

I started working on this project in March of last year because I was quite saddened by the lack of certain characters (*cough* Vanny and Vanessa) in SB, so I thought I’d create my own take on it for fun! It includes all of the events from the game, plus some extra sequences as well :D

This has been a super involved project and I don’t anticipate it being fully finished for a while yet, but I can share WIPs, etc as I work on it! I’m really excited to announce it finally, it’s been tons of fun to work on and I can’t wait to show more as time goes on!

The story will switch between Vanessa and Gregory’s POVs and will be segmented into different chapters. I don’t want to spoil too much of the story just yet, since it’s still gonna be a few months before it’s officially posted.

But, if you have any questions I’m happy to answer them! :D

TLDR at the end!

So on January 1st 2022, I made my first FNAF security breach post. From that post I started making my FNAF security breach AU.

I made many comics for this AU and was having a lot of fun.. but there was a problem. I was so excited to jump into this AU and start drawing, that I didn’t plan anything out. I just made up the AU as I went along. I was also so excited to just go from comic to comic, that I never checked the previous parts to make sure all the facts lined up. Obviously this created problems, characters would say something and then contradict it in another comic. This didn’t make for a very strong story, and it was made worse when I realized my AU had no basic foundation.

What happened to William Afton? What happened to all the murdered kids? What about the other animatronics? What happened that night when Gregory showed up? A LOT of stuff in my AU wasn’t considered. I was basically building off of nothing.

So, sometime after October 16th 2022, I decided to put my AU on hold. I went back to the very beginning with William, and built up the story all they way to Gregory's arrival. It clearly took me a long time because its now March 2023-

BUT! Its finally done. My AU has been structured and written. I want to get back on the story and keep making comics, but there’s another problem. My comics. They still are janky and don’t quite line up in terms of dialogue and events. But it took me weeks to make all of those comics. I ain’t about to re-draw every single one. So Here’s my solution.

I’m going to take some time to make a FNAF AU recap/repair post.

This comic is going to recap my entire AU up to this point, so that people don’t have to go back and read every single comic in order to catch up. But it will also be a repair comic. As it goes along it will point out bits of dialogue and behaviors in the characters that are no longer cannon or were executed incorrectly.

Once this comic is up it will give me a fresh start. The AU will be repaired/recapped, everyone will be caught up to speed and I can just keep drawing. So that’s what I plan to start working on. So I might be gone for a while..

BUT, there’s also a few other posts that I’ve been meaning to make in the meantime. One of which is a comic with Bibi and Jangles that miiiight take me a while.. Also I wanted to post that thing about Mario and Luigi.. and that other thing about king boo- ANYWAY--

TLDR: SO, what should you take from this? I’m making a FNAF AU recap/repair post amongst other comics and posts. These are going to take me a long time to make so I’m going to be absent for a while..

Rebirth-Vincent Analysis/Breakdown 1 Vincent's connection to Sephiroth and why his penance is now justified (SPOILERS)

Bear in mind this is mostly an analysis and some of it may be obvious to some. But the purpose of this is to shed light on some of the more nuanced aspects pertaining to Vincent's character and what we might expect from him moving into part 3. I will be breaking these into parts so as to not create such lengthy posts. NOTE: It has been over 2 weeks so I will no longer be censoring content, but I will maintain the spoiler tags. --------------

For starters, Vincent’s personality has been well implemented in that some of his more nuanced traits are highlighted in Rebirth. Compared to OG’s depiction of him, he is more hostile and skeptical than before. In OG, he divulges everything from Sephiroth’s past to his own involvement with Shinra. Not so in Rebirth, however. As a matter of fact, he avoids talking about Sephiroth altogether (up until a certain side-quest), and only calls himself ‘security’ instead of telling the group he once worked for Shinra. Regarding the source of his guilt, it heavily revolves around Sephiroth without so much as a mention of Hojo. As a result, instead of Hojo being his target, Vincent’s driving motivation for joining Cloud’s company is Sephiroth, siting he has unfinished business with Sephiroth. Previously in OG, Vincent’s regret stemmed from his inability to prevent Lucrecia and Hojo from experimenting on their child, Sephiroth. Little else was given, and fans have long held the notion that Vincent had needlessly punished himself for something that was completely not his fault, criticizing his self-hatred as pure edginess and being overdramatic. However, Rebirth has shown there is yet another layer of tragedy regarding the reason for Vincent’s self-imposed punishment. And this leads to the topic of Vincent’s relationship to Sephiroth.

When the party first meet Vincent, though he initially plays the part of a security guard and interrogates them for a breach of ID security, his aggression quickly deflates when he learns that the party is after Sephiroth. It isn’t until Cloud steps into the chamber that used to contain Sephiroth’s samples that Vincent becomes extremely hostile towards the party, oddly protective of the room and whatever info on Sephiroth it may have had. Once Vincent is finally convinced to join the party for the sole purpose of meeting Sephiroth, Vincent states he has some ‘unfinished business’ with Sephiroth. The weight of this motivation becomes very heavy when Vincent finally tells the group the nature of Vincent and Sephiroth’s ‘unique bond’.

According to Vincent, he feels partially to blame for Sephiroth’s cruelty. While that isn’t completely new, Vincent goes on to say that he ‘had many opportunities to purge him from this world’, also sighting the countless people suffering as experiments in the basement. In OG, Vincent was unaware of the evils Sephiroth had committed until Cloud told him. Vincent even says ‘all this while I was sleeping’ when he joins Cloud in seeing the vision of Nibelheim burning—proving Vincent was naïve of the events. In later compilations, it’s implied that Vincent is indeed able to sense turmoil around him since he so happens to turn up whenever someone is about to die. This led fans to question how Vincent was so oblivious to one of the most devastating events in FF7’s story. In Rebirth, however, we learn Vincent was far from oblivious. This implies that Vincent was aware of Sephiroth massacring Nibelheim, the survivors becoming human-experiments, and likely Zack and Cloud’s experimentation as well. Vincent not only neglected to save Lucrecia and Sephiroth during the experimentations, but he also turned a blind eye to the plight of others, allowing Sephiroth to continue his rampage.
