Like I understand that’s it’s annoying and tiring seeing celebrity black men, whether they be actors, athletes, singers, etc., primarily with non black women. And I get that even in tv shows and media it’s hard to find a black woman that’s not biracial or ambiguous looking as love internet or main character (that’s a whole other story) but I wish ppl would stop projecting this on to every black male celebrity we find attractive. I’m not naive. I know that if you look through a man’s dating history (which I have no desire to do with Aaron tbh) or even his likes and follows on social media you can tell his preference. And also it really seems like ppl get a kick out of telling black women that the BLACK man they’re thirsting after would never look their (our) way. tldr; I like bsky more but if you have roots / an audience on twt that contributes to your livelihood / a social circle ONLY on there I don't see a reason to drop it completely.

tumblr had a field day w/ ur ask omfg... Imo I like bsky better bc the vibes are waaaaay better if I gotta be real. Like even though ik there's a ginormous gap in my follower counts ( DON’T get me wrong ik they're both a WHOLE lot of ppl) posting my art to bsky and getting half or even a fraction of what my stuff might get on twt (on a good day) still feels nice because the vibes... idk they're just better there. And also pointing out that I ALSO know that the attention my stuff gets on either website is by no means 'little' and I’m very grateful for it all! (Not accusing you of anything i'm just dotting my i's so my words aren't misinterpreted by folks/twisted)

A big part of why I like bsky more is that there's less obnoxious folks on the tl to put it one way. Like annoying ass folks still exist for sure but there's a certain breed of it over on twt that just bring down your mood man. Another part is the use of feeds, starter packs and tags that are actually USED.

For those who are artists concerned with this switch:

I think a big roadblock with the twt -> bsky migration is that people think it’s 'dead', and I can kind of see two sides of this coin. On one side I see folks on bsky claiming that it isn't dead, and that people who say that just aren't engaging with the platform & and dropping it too quickly- and on one hand I see that. On the other hand, I really only see established artists really saying stuff like this. For these folks (not excluding myself), that kind of migration might be easier compared to someone with only a fraction of their following, who might not even see a hint of interaction at all unless someone with a platform boosts them, and I feel it's a little more disheartening on bsky when there still aren't a crazy amount of folks there.

So again imo... I don't really think my opinion really holds too much weight because I started using bsky with 140k+ followers on twt already to share it with. I'll still post there because I was in the trenches on that acct for like 10 years, but I'll keep most of my yapping and fun side stuff over on bsky I think. In fact, I log out of that acct immediately after I post stuff lmao

and this fic was tagged 100% correctly like it was very explicitly tagged as smut n stuff yet there were still a bunch of comments being like “uhm what did i just read 🤨” and when i made a comment defending the authors right to yk, not be harassed for making not even rlly problematic content someone who clearly would suffer withdrawal symptoms if they turned twitter off for too long started arguing with me abt how “erm ackhtually we should be allowed to comment harassment under ppls harmless and explicitly tagged fics cause theres no smut in this fandom and it shocked us” and u could just rlly tell they felt they were more righteous than God in their opinions and yeah so cut to tonight when i’m scrolling through the tag and i see a post titled “i’m so sorry” in which the author made a post basically being like “i’m so sorry for posting that ik it was disgusting it has been permanently deleted” which in the comments a few ppl were telling them that what happened sucked n stuff (myself included // judging by their reply they only did this to stop the harassment which yk, completely fair) and i went back to scrolling since i wanted an actual fic not fandom drama but like 2 posts down there was another post titled “please stop” or smthn like that where someone else made a post basically being like “guyssss can we please not write smut of these characters this fandom is so wholesome i dont wanna ruin it 🥺 anyways sorry this isnt a fic this just needed to be said lol” and like dude, my guy, WHAT THE FUCK?!

this is AO3, this is a fanwork archive that as far as i know was created (at least partially) due to the fact that ppl kept getting their “problematic” works taken down from other sites and the creators wanted to yk archive all fanworks. this is NOT a social media site where u can make callout posts abt how what someone else posted disturbed ur pure wholesome chaste scrolling by daring to uploaded something with *gasp* consensual sex between 2 consenting adults?! ORIGINAL VIDEO FROM TWITTER. But I'm posting it here rather than just linking it because it's very important for demonstration purposes. Notice that it takes the burglar 15 seconds before stealing anything? He just stands there. When he goes to steal a second object, it takes him around 17 seconds to steal it. It takes the male household sim 10 seconds to even react / notice the burglar's in the house.

This is my issue with playing the Sims 4, the simulation lag is horrific. It takes sims waaaaay too long to react or do anything. It's even MORE noticeable when you play it right after playing S2 or S3 -- where reaction times were way more instant.

Heck, in the Sims 2, if a Sim is doing something while an event unfolds, their current animation will be sped up and finish just SO they can have an instant reaction to said event.

A sim's loved one can be DYING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM, and they will still be smiling! They won't even react until the person is already dead.

This problem creates two major problems. 1) It breaks immersion. It's hard to feel invested in what's happening when your characters take AGES to react. It's even worse when you're used to the gameplay in the previous entries. 2) It gets in the way of the quality of the gameplay itself. This is one of the reasons why taking care of infants is so annoying. Infants are so needy, yet it takes your sim SO LONG just to take care of their needs, which causes the infants to become even needier by the time your sim finally does the command.

When ppl complain about the lack of animations in TS4, the biggest defense is always "why waste time with extra animations? The simple animations ensure your Sim's actions are faster." Except... that's not true. The simulation lag in TS4 makes almost every action slower. In fact, there's a YouTube channel called "Sitycims" that proves that the actions in TS4 does take longer than they do in TS2 -- DESPITE TS2 having far more detail in animations!

It's also why I continue to say that we need The Sims 5, because I honestly believe these poor reaction times are a result of the game's age, and the near 100 DLCs that's been thrown on to it. I sincerely believe The Sims 4 is getting to a point where it just can't handle any more. I think that's why they're hesitant TO add anything new that's too complex. (Hence why Businesses & Hobbies have a new system... but nothing new to do with that system, everything -- art galleries, gyms, bakeries -- are all preexisting stuff. Why the THREE new hobbies / businesses are all stuff that can use rehashed animations)

Whenever I say we need a Sims 5, people try to argue with me saying "it won't magically fix anything, EA will still be EA." And that's true. But that's not my point. I KNOW TS5 would have EA's same practices, that they'll continue to intentionally leave out features just to include them in another pack for the highest profit. But my point is, TS4's engine is getting too old, the spaghetti code & rot is REALLY starting to show. If they start fresh with a new engine, we probably wouldn't be running into as many gameplay bugs, simulation lag / poor reaction times, and possible limitations.

snc have a constantly moving chat on xplrclub now. it has caused MULTIPLE issues within the couple weeks it has been up. prime example being that snc had to make RULES, one being NOT TO SEXUALIZE THEM. yes. that happened, within the first 72 hours of the chat being a thing. they had to tell ppl "hey, maybe don't talk about our dicks in a public chat we can see."

and many other things have happened too. some of which i can't even mention on here. and ppl on xplrclub have been asking snc to get mods or do something to help fix things.

and boy oh boy did snc make a choice lol

they made a post asking for fans to apply to become VOLUNTEER MODS. they said that those that get chosen will get perks and merch and shit like that for being a mod.

the amount of annoyance i have rn is astronomical. i literally have a headache from being so annoyed sksks

first and foremost THEY NEED TO HIRE PPL. snc make WAY TOO MUCH MONEY to be asking for volunteers. that's just the reality of the situation. they own two mansions, but are asking for volunteers on an app they CHARGE FOR? you have to be kidding me with that one lol

not to mention, you're asking for ppl to volunteer their free time on an app they are paying for to "make sure it's safe for everyone". yall got me ABSOLUTELY FUCKED UP if you think i'm gonna lose money basically burning my free time away just to mod a chat full of ppl i have blocked on twitter. secondly, whoever they end up picking is gonna have a complex. that's inevitable. even if they choose exclusively grandmas that aren't in fandom drama AT ALL, those fans would think "obviously snc love me so much and i am one of their favorites", and that's the best case scenario. reality is they are gonna pick ppl that will BRAG on other platforms and then get big headed bc they will have a direct line to snc. and then on top of that, you are gonna cause fans to feel bad for not getting chosen, or think that snc don't love them. that ALONE should be enough for snc to know "hey maybe we shouldn't do this bc it's gonna cause favoritism in this fandom that already has a MIRADE OF ISSUES".

I just happened to post art here from the beginning to stick it through and stay in my tags.

You said I generalized things, and you do the same by putting yourself into the said generalized things to defend them and create tolerate ground and bring more people from your space to talk over daminika shipper and being annoyed that we want to talk solely about the canon content or any problems we have.

People with different ideas exist. And not everything is about you, if you don't do the bad/hateful things then maybe let daminika shippers speak about our frustration without the need to come in to beat us down and gloss over the issue like it doesn't exist (when we do have ppI here seen the hate towards Flatline is real and constant from damijon shippers). It's your side of the fandom that constantly caused problems for us, and you still vouch for all like it was nothing.

Now, Nika is in the process of a relationship with Damian, as a daminika shipper I enjoyed their interaction while I could and created fan content for them. But it's not so enjoyable when some of you talk like they are going to break up in the future(so Damian can date Jon Kent). Like why do you want Nika to fail so soon in your own fanon? And villainize her when she is just a 15-year-old girl currently trying to figure out things? Like what was the reason?? (want Damijon to eventually happen that's why). When you could just write your damn fic and live in your own fanon without including her, since you will still prioritize damijon and tools her(for canon validation) in the end.

I hate it when ppl mix around the characters just for shipping out of spite and do not consider their age and current circumstances. Like the respawn x flatline things damijon shippers created months ago, and now I see ppl want to ship jondaminika…like give me a break for fuck sake. Why is a college student squeezed between two high school freshmen? Like get his grow ass out of there, I don't need ppl pushing their damijon thoughts onto Nika just so they can cope with that damijon ship is not canon and with canon age gaps!!

All I ask for is to leave Nika alone and let her have time to grow and wait for the comic to explain itself (I trust Williamson because he is her creator and clearly still have plans for her).

1. I feel some tomdayas do too much with timdayas. I'm aware this is very unpopular, but let me explain. I'm not a timdaya, but I was a Timothee stan before I was a Tomdaya stan, so my perspective may be different. I feel Tomdayas need to accept that tindayas are going to exist and to stop giving them so much attention. This is not the first time both Tim and Z in their careers, are going to play with love interests that don't reflect their personal life(Timothee with Taylor in Bones and all whilst dating Kylie and Zendaya with Hunter and Mike and Josh while being with Tom).

Back in the day, actors had so much variety in their roles that had Z or Timothee been this age in the 90s, they would have been in 100 romcoms by now and ppl would be shipping them with their costars. It's not a reflection in real life. The insecurity projected unto Z is so weird because this same insecurity is never placed on Tom, and he had a makeout scene in TCR. No one thought he was dating his costar. It's obvious some Tomdayas are insecure, and tbh it's silly cause if you truly are a fan of both of them, you would know that the insecurity comes from film twitter and is not reflection in real life. The only way actors can do "showmances" is very early in theory careers as they don't have an established fanbase. In the new hunger games films, Tom blyth and Rachel Zegler have great chemistry, but they both have partners in real life, and so there's a line they don't cross and are still very popular. There are fans who want them together, but that's a loud minority.

Timothee and Z are well established in their careers, and it wouldn't make sense to do that.
