A Strange Case of Failed Tie-Ins

When I was younger, I came across a lot of strange Super Nintendo games. One was a game where Sonic ran around trying to rescue Mario from cages, and another was a slideshow of images. (Which I had the fortune of avoiding.)

However, there was one game that I found the most odd. That game was Power Piggs of the Dark Age.

It's a platformer with wacky enemies and animation. The level design also tends to get lazy sometimes. (Some of them have straight paths near the end of them with few obstacles in sight before a boss appears) While the game is fine for what it is, the presentation is something else.

The art style is very expressive, and the game is filled with tons of humor. It feels less like an original game and more like it's based on a cartoon. But no cartoon existed around the time of this game's release. So all we're left with is a title with art and writing that would fit well in a 90s TV show. A real shame a show didn't exist. At least until I did some more digging into this game's background.

It turns out there WAS a cartoon in the works. This game was intended to be a tie-in. Complete with a separate version for the Sega Genesis. The show never ended up materializing, and any plans for it were axed. The Genesis port also ended up getting canceled later down the line. So all we have of this could-be cartoon show is a video game adaptation.

I always wondered why the game looked the way it does. And my initial thoughts of a cartoon were right.

If a TV show DID release, I bet we'd see more stuff like this:

Sibling Monty part 2

It was the 18th and final hole and you were 2-1 with Monty. Basically you were losing but it wasn’t impossible for you to win. If he fucked up the last hole then you have a chance. If only you didn’t fuck up and toss the ball into the water during the 6th hole but thankfully he messed up the 10th hole.

As you both approach the final hole you see it was a giant alligator head that opened and closed, it’s teeth no longer bright and beginning to fade from water damage and chipping paint from balls bouncing off of it.

Honestly, you believed Monty was pitying you which wasn’t the best feeling in the world but hopefully he feels bad enough to let you win.

As you watch him approach the ball you get the idea to scream when he goes to hit it. If you time it right you’ll mess him up making him miss. A perfect plan that couldn’t possibly go wrong.

He brought his club back, getting ready to fire the ball down the throat of a giant alligator animatronic when you shouted when his club came down. Making him turn around mid swing, his ball hitting one of the many teeth on the alligator.

“You, you little shit!” He started storming towards his golf ball and swung once again. This time with a lot more strength, blasting through the alligator and landing straight into the hole. Causing one of the bright yellow eyes to start to flicker. Maybe you shouldn’t have pissed him off because now you have to only hit the ball once or you lose.

You start to swear as you place your ball down, not fully prepared for the cops to get called on you.

“Don’t mess up.” The sly smirk on his face, knowing that he held more power then you in this situation.

“I don’t plan on it” you said without thinking. WHY DID YOU SAY THAT. Whatever, it’s now or never, no point in denying the inevitable. You brought your golf club back and prepared to swing, however before you could bring it down you were swept up by Monty and he started dashing away from the scene.

“Hey what’s the big idea?!” You shouted as he darted pass security bots.

“Be quiet and I’ll explain later, it’s not safe.”

“Wait, why? Did you call the cops already? What’s wrong with you!”

“I didn’t!” His grip on you got tighter as his anger increased. “It was Vanessa the security guard, if she catches you the police really will be called so can it if you don’t want to get caught.”

“So you won’t call the cops on me?”

“No I was just messing with you dummy.”

“WHAT?! Why?!”

“It was funny.” His smirk came back and he just laughed as you started punching him.

“You jerk face, what’s wrong with you!” You started hitting whatever you could reach and kicking him, revenge on your mind.

“I get it, I get it. You hate me and I’m a meanie jerk face. Do you want to get arrested? If not keep it down.” You reluctantly listened to him. He came to a stop in front of a storage closet and said “okay, hide in here until I come back. You’ll know it’s me because of my voice. I’ll be back as soon as possible.”

“Okay…” you walk into the closet but before he could close the door you grab his arm and ask “you promise I won’t get into trouble, right?” You look into his red eyes, hoping to try and find the truth in them.

He takes off his signature star sunglasses and place them on your face. “I promise.” He closes the door and you wait with bated breath.

What felt like an eternity passed but Monty returned with a smile on his snout, “why hello there.” He grabbed his glasses and you dashed forward, hugging his robotic body.

“Thank you for not getting me in trouble, I don’t know how to repay you.” Tears started running down your face, you couldn’t control them.

Monty wasn’t use to this type of emotion, usually the kids ran away from him crying, not crying on him. All he did was rub your back as you let it out. After you calmed down enough to start talking he said, “hey uh, wanna get something to eat? You must be starving. Here, get on my back.” Monty picked you up and started giving you a piggy back ride.

He started walking towards the food court but before he could even get out of the elevator you let out a loud yawn and started to fall asleep on his back. He instead made his way to his personal room and laid you on what was left of his couch, putting a blanket on you and Monty branded plush in your arms. He plans on letting you sleep until 6 o’clock, then would wake you up to let you out.

He went out of the room and found a Monty branded back pack and put in a ton of Monty memorabilia in it. A signed poster, a water bottle, a keychain. Anything he could find. When he came back you were still asleep. He put the bag in front of you and sat next to you until you woke up, protecting you from any dangers that may come through that door.

for the angry birds transformers sg i think just making the the character change colors and the role sawp is a bit boring so i had an idea.

so the story is that the eggspark landed on piggy island transforming the place and characters get transformers powers the birds become autobirds and piggies become deceptihogs.

so the SG version instead of just changing colors cause it's boring we gonna swap the factions the birds gonna become deceptibirds and pigges become autohogs.

(btw red (the red bird) as megatron gonna have his sg g1 desgin instead of rotf design)

Diana Johnson is my oc for a DCEU fanfic set in the Suicide Squad movie. Diana is a metahuman who discovered her ability to manipulate the energy around her on her 22nd birthday. For the next two years after this discovery Diana distanced herself from most of the world in fear of herself and moved to a middle of nowhere town. Eventually she thought she had a good enough handle on her powers and decided to move back into the city. This was proven wrong when one day when a group of people who had been spying on her all this time cornered her at her job. In a mix of panic and years worth of anxiety she blacked out the event and woke back up surrounded by rubble and ash. It turned out her powers took on a mind of their own and completely demolished the building and anyone who was inside, she was the only survivor. This was how she ended up in a max security prison and left to be alone in a metal enclosed room. Though she didn’t necessarily mind the loneliness. Diana hated what had happened and hated herself for it, she would have done anything to be the one who died instead of the innocent. So, if she was to stay in a metal box forever that meant she couldn’t hurt anyone else. But when she was suddenly let out of prison to go on a mission that almost certainly ended in death, she just decided to do what she was told and just get it over with. Diana would have rathered to sit in solitude for the rest of her life, but she took this as maybe her last chance to “redeem” herself. To her surprise though this mission brought her the chance to meet the infamous Harley Quinn who in return managed to bring out Diana’s old self a little. Diana’s old self being a quick witted yet incredibly caring person. (4/4)

mia isaac - the STANDOUT for me for the entire runtime

like ya’ll i’m a dylan girl thru and thru, and gorgeous zoey is the main star of this movie

i know the proper reviews have agreed with me, she is absolutely brilliant and powerful and and empowering, every scene was so strong and she deserves all the praise, all the awards, hands down

her character’s story where it related to real life events.. her trauma was so heartbreaking, and the ptsd scene on the stage really truly got to me and i honestly started tearing up. that was a full panic attack... i’ve lived through many, and it was captured so upsettingly well. mia conveys emotion so so well and i hope you love her as much as i did. 

AND DUDE ----- THE LAST SCENE OF THE MOVIE WITH MIA WAS AHHHHHHHHHHHH MY FAVE PART OF THE WHOLE THIINNG

Overall, NOT OKAY was a very good, eye-opening, funny film. It really makes you look at the craziness and toxicity that social media carries. It shows you how it can change people, literally, and the lengths they will go to to get those extra followers or those extra likes. Social media can be so dangerous. Watching Mia’s character get absolutely shit over for having a ptsd panic attack, saying she was being a fake victim.. that’s real, unfortunately. It happens so often. Dylan and Zoey have only recently done interviews where they explain that the truth is sometimes never believed, that the lies circulating gets the better of them and puts out negative untrue vibes. 

This movie HAD to be made. And I am so glad that Quinn did it in such a captivating way. 

But I think that there is also another important point made from this movie......

What I have learnt is that it is indeed.. okay... to not be okay. Don’t hide if you’re in pain, because it’s very most likely that the person next to you is also not okay.

First off:

CONGRATS ON THE 1.7K FOLLOWERS!!! You've most definitely earned everyone, you absolute powerhouse!!!

Secondly . . . I'd like to request an OC playlist. But be warned: Of the OCs I have, they're either underdeveloped because I haven't tended to them in a long time, or because they're so freshly-baked that I'm still trying to figure things out 😅 But hey maybe bouncing off what I have so far might give some clues as to where I'm going right, where I'm going wrong, and what sort of playlist they inspire. Probably something gloomy or nonsense because of underdevelopment but --🙃

Now prepare for the world's most lame infodump!

The most recent one and the one I'd really like to put more work into, though, doesn't really have a name currently. But I currently have her placeholder name as Atarra because I want her name to begin with an "a", but also because that "tarra" bit is a reference to the name "Tara", which means "star" in Sanskrit, but also references earthiness when in English. And the reason that's important to me is because Atarra, as she is currently, is a human who quite literally stumbled into the position of being a fairy princess without any awareness she was ever human.

The idea was that as a toddler, she quite literally fell into the Fae Realm "like a falling star" and because I had apparently just recently watched The Prince of Egypt, I was hooked on the idea of her being brought before that section of the realm's royalty to figure out what to do with her and the queen deciding to take her in as one of her own. So her name would be a reference to being a falling star, while also having earthly roots as a human.

Because of her constant exposure to magic, she has longevity and does gain certain mutations as a result such as wings. However, because she's still biologically human, these mutations only go so far: Her wings appear underdeveloped when compared to biologically fae folk so she can't really fly anywhere and has to settle with walking or climbing, and she doesn't really have the ability to harness magic of her own, instead having to store it or use conduits.

Though, the fun thing about her being forced to use items to store her magic, though, is that it gives way to creative possibilities. Like, have you ever seen a fairy use a Super Soaker to shoot out magical blasts? No? Well neither has any other fae who hasn't interacted with any form of the human world. They'll be so busy staring at the thing and trying to figure out what the heck it is that they won't have any time before their face gets blasted off with 100% concentrated Abraca-Fuck-You!

She honestly has more or less become a metaphor for a person with disabilities/neurodivergency, so I might've unintentionally put a bit of myself in her in terms of shyness and how she interacts with the world around her.

The juxtaposition between her being royalty and her also having these limitations (she was raised to have no idea that she's actually human) leaves her starting off a bit insecure but wanting to nonetheless avoid disappointing her family; she knows she's off compared to most of her peers, so she feels she can't really slack off or else it'll make her look even worse than what she really is. She's the middle child with the queen's (biological) daughters, and sort of takes on a bit of their traits, trying to be dutiful and refined like her older sister while also being unable to stop herself from being playful and curious like her younger sister. She acts almost as a bridge between them because haha middle children be peacekeepers.

Because of her natural feeling of not quite connecting with others, she can get quite anxious around nobility of other kingdoms and tries to keep to herself. She'd much rather hide away in the astronomy tower to read, or steal away in her younger sister's hideout, theorizing about creatures they can't quite experience due to their pampered lifestyles (the Unseelie who live below the treeline, humans, etc).

Admittedly, because she was raised in Seelie territory, she has prejudices she has to work out, such as thinking lesser of Unseelie for things they have no control over.

Once she manages to interact with humans, though, she's unable to keep her curiosity at bay and has a tendency to wander and can't read the room for shit, partially because of her royal upbringing. Because of this, she can be a bit easy to manipulate, especially since she never wants to let anyone down.

Likes include walking barefoot, human junk food, climbing trees (because it's the closest she can get to flying), and messy art.

Dislikes include getting her hair braided (she likes the results aesthetic-wise, but the actual practice of it hurts), stiff posturing, regalia with tight sleeves, large parties, and the possibility of disappointing people.
