Do you want to be more flexible? Physically? Mentally? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Are you not flexible enough to even start yoga?? Or at least believe that to do yoga you have to be flexible or “MADE” for yoga? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There is a common misconception when it comes to yoga and it is that you need to be fully immersed in it to feel any sort of benefits. But this couldn’t be farther from the truth! To become more flexible whether that be in the body or in the mind, you need to start yoga or some sort of stretching; just like with anything it takes regular practice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A little bit of yoga every 2nd day or a few times a week will not even improve your health overall but it will allow you to learn so many other lessons. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It is Yoga that will teach you the “essence of living” at a more elevated level and if you’re not into all that “hoo ha” then know this: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yoga will teach you patience, It will teach you diligence, It will allow you to live more fully by teaching you how to be more aware, more wise, less stressed, less anxious and feel more open to love and to your higher self. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yoga will ease pain within the body, improve mental clarity, improve posture, realign your body, protect your spine, increase bone density, elevate your energy, your mood and improve your immune system. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yoga will help you regain your focus, regulate blood sugar levels, lower your blood pressure, improve your heart and make you feel more appreciative, happy and grateful for life and for those around you. Let’s just say you can tolerate people more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yoga can be seen as a collection of poses incorporated with breath work or as a combination of movement and breath. A connection between mind, body and soul. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Quite often we see social media portray yoga as some crazy pose or sequence that seems impossible for many of us to achieve. Just remember that with anything in life; getting to a pose, a position, situation or a place too quickly because your EGO wanted you to, will only end in disappointment or injury. Instead, put trust in the process, enjoy the journey of getting there for these are the moments where strength, determination and dedication are endured and growth is made. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When we slow down and do this it becomes so much easier than looking toward the end goal all the time and being so eager to get there.
