Learning to read German crochet patterns from the book my grandparents in law gave me... uh... last Christmas.

I'm not good with getting around to things.

But I'm really enjoying it!

I'm going to make this multilayered flower and attach it to either a headband or a decorative chain with more flowers on it — whichever I have time for.

It's for my partner's grandmother. Her birthday is tomorrow.

I have ADHD.

Been swamped with other course work but I finally cleaned up that rough animatic for my final exhibition!

We Have Always Been Here is based on the heartfelt love letter of American WWII veteran Brian Keith, this poignant moving storyboard imaginatively brings to life his relationship with a comrade known only as “Dave”. The animatic sheds light on the relevance and impact of forgotten LGBTQ+ history during this current wave of political hostility.

The first drawing is labelled 'Chapter 58 - Cat Mania' and has a lineup of Stan, Mabel, Wendy, Dipper, and Soos as cats. Stan is fluffy and dark brown with white markings. Mabel and Dipper are nearly-identical brown kittens, with white markings on their face. Wendy is a fluffy mostly-red calico, and is in the leggy stage of being a kitten. Soos is a fat light brown tabby, with a short tail.

In the next image: cat Stan carries kitten Mabel by the scruff of her neck while kitten Dipper marches behind them; Stan as a human holds up a pissed off kitten Wendy; Ford lies on his stomach holding a camera and kicking his feet; cat Soos lies on his back.

In the third image: cat Stan gives kitten Dipper a cat bath while Soos lies behind them and Mabel crawls all on Stan's back; in the same pose, Stan looks up but holds down Dipper while he tries to escape, and Mabel sits on Stan's head, posing cutely.

In the fourth, cat Stan brings kitten Mabel and Dipper over to Ford, who is lying in bed looking tired. He pets Stan and says " Am I supposed to be giving you more cat socialization? Shit." In the second drawing, Ford, now a cat, stands over cat Stan. Stan says "What the fuck" and Ford says "I had an idea." Then Ford bites Stan's ear.

Thinking about the fact that Mabel and Dipper didn't know they had two great uncles.

Yeah they are 12 and at 12 I had a shotty understanding of my family tree- But really? Nobody brought up their great uncle? Stanley? Especially since they'll be staying with his twin brother, Stanford?

Shermie never went to Stan's fake funeral, which to me means the twos relationship was strained on some level. If Shermie is older that means his view of Stan was poisoned in some way, that even as kids they weren't close. If the Shermie is younger then he never even got to meet Stan and all he knew about him was how he failed his family. Hell, people probably barely mentioned Stanley TO Shermie.

The fact that Stan had become a black stain upon the Pines family name makes me so vividly upset. Stanley faked his death and the family just- seemingly decided to strike him from the record. To pretend he didn't existed to spare themselves the sadness and shame.

Stanford and Shermie Pines. The only children worth mentioning of Filbrick and Caryn Pines.

It was never Stanford that was lost to the world. It was Stanley, ever since he had to leave New Jersy- it was always him that had to be struck from the record. Change his name, change his state, change his affiliations, destroy the remains of ghost that was Stanley Pines. Kill him so the family doesn't bring him up, doesn't ask questions, stops asking "Stanford" about his twin.

I just keep thinking about the fact that since the day he made one single mistake all the way up until Ford walks out of that machine- Stanley Pines was killed and did not exist. And Stan himself had no one to blame, he had to play the part in his own demise- He is the only one who ever knew Stanley was alive and has been for decades.

He lives in the multitudes of every personality he's ever taken, all in the hope that he himself can stop being Stanley Pines.

It's a Christmas present for my wife's parents based on a wedding pic. I did a reverse image search to make sure, & my style isn't so accurate that they can be found through this, so please enjoy & share bc I'm very proud of it ✨

After the back-to-back embroidery commissions I got recently, my confidence is growing & I'm so excited to someday be making art like this for more people.

Unpopular opinion, but out of aizawa and present mic, aizawa is way more emotionally healthy. He actually feels his emotions, sometimes even deals with them in non destructive ways. Present Mic hasn’t allowed himself to feel any non-positive emotion in the last fifteen years. Processing grief? What’s that? Talking about issues? Don’t have any. Feeling feelings? Why feel them, when you can bury them deep inside you and ignore them forever.

so annoying how people ignore that adora’s “protectiveness” is not just a sweet quality and that she has like, a martyr complex because of abuse. like that is literally part of her character arc, learning to let herself be taken care of and to stop throwing herself on the chopping block.

same with people seeing catra as someone adora protects through a solely shipping dynamic lense or this damsel in distress almost and portraying it as this romantic thing (usually to make them fall into an opposites masculine and feminine dichotomy (not that masc and fem couples are bad but this misses the point) when catra actively hates it. the climax in their relationship is catra as the protector, adora’s knight in shining armor (paralleling utena) for a reason.
