I feel like the only one who likes Radahn more after the DLC, haha. He gets so much hate for no reason!
Hey, I kind of started to like him more after SOTE as well! Before the DLC, he slightly lacked the character for me and was just "cool gigachad" (which is valid but not enough x) )! But the pointer that his strength and kindness gave Malenia and Miquella the ideas of what to aspire for, and the tragedy of his agency being striped of him captivated me XD
I am also VERY frustrated on his behalf, just like you are. -_- He gets hated or resented just because Redditors with bad takes on Malenia crowned him as their mascot? When it isn't that, it is because of some horrible content they've seen of him. When it isn't that, it is because his relationship with the twins was not foreshadowed in the base game. When it isn't that, it is because people wanted consort to be Godwyn instead. When it isn't that, it is because they liked Malmiq more. When it isn't that, it is because something-something Bajonk Manga Reference Bad. When it isn't that, it is conviction that Fromsoft would seriously change their plans to cater to the fanbase the last moment. When it isn't that, it is just him being a compilation of everything the fans feel entitled for. And like, okay, fine... but, what part of all this is deserved by actual character himself?
It is not valid to trash on the character or neglect them out of the story just and just because of how most toxic fans of this character act about them! Source material always should come first, community/fandom/preferences second! When something that upsets you in the fandom starts effect how you perceive character, ship or a story, you do not distance from them! You instead distance from the fans that made you feel this way to begin with!
And as for the "retcon" stuff; Fromsoft always have omitted a lot of stuff from their base games since they work through the mindset like "We might not even get to make the DLC, so better to severe all loose ends"!
I don't know, man... Radahn should be treated as Radahn, not as a symbol of worst parts of the fandom or some proof that Fromsoft can't write well.
The only bad thing Radahn did in SOTE was having an underwhelming battle and design (considering that he fused with Mohg I mean), but that's just an invitation to be angry on behalf of Radahn, not at Radahn! And of course it is unfair to dislike a character for "getting in the way" of a better (?) ship! Just because Radahn is not a female character doesn't make it okay! It is Fromsoft's characters and story and they can do what they want, especially when Miquella already gave up on Godwyn in the base game and just wished for him to die already, and when Malenia is a part of his Empyrean fate (that he tries to abandon the whole DLC) no less than Trina!
#elden ring#starscourge radahn#in haters defence I've had a short period of being uneasy with Leda because she reminded me of some-#-extremely frustrating to deal with Miquella fans#but at the same time I made sure to separate her from kind of fans I disliked because Fromsoft wrote A Character#and not a free projection spot for me#ask replies

writing is so funny. when i first started writing this story in 2016, i included a character who was basically a self-insert character. she is now the lesbian biologist version of walter white
#minus the cancer and all that#her story is about her destroying everything around her because of her own ego <3#she's like a year out of her phd program. she thinks her work is beneath her and wants to do something Big And Important#ends up forcing her way into this evil clandestine research project at work (think about a random dyad employee stumbling onto project leda#she should be horrified but she isn't. she's exhilarated. she's working on something new and innovative.#but soon it isn't enough. she wants to be in charge. she wants to lead projects.#she develops this insane relationship with her boss where she wants to please her but is in competition with her. and wants to fuck her#anyway she does increasingly horrible things. betrays the other two main characters in the series#she has this big final goal that's like. incredibly unrealistic. but she pushes toward it anyway because she has gone off the deep end#i'm pretty sure she kills her boss (that she has a psychosexual relationship with) so that she can be In Charge#she's insane. i love her#m.txt

Pairing: Gale x F!OC (Lyra)
Word Count: 1.6k
Author's Note: I took @senualothbrok 's advice and wrote some Gale on my birthday, and this fic was born! So, this is my birthday fic (technically for yesterday), but also, kind of an announcement fic!
Lyra is a new OC for me, and she is part of a much bigger project I have been working on in semi-secret for a little while now. I am writing a reverse-isekai chapter fic with Gale x Lyra! My story takes a lot of inspiration from my friend Senua's piece, "The Difference," but I'm getting to tell my own story, which I have never done so intimately in published work before. I'm excited and scared and I hope you all will take this journey with me. ❤️ This piece is in the same universe as that project, but is a separate one-shot. Now, on to the fic!
You stretched, allowing blood flow to your legs as you turned over. Quietly, you gazed out the open window next to your bed, closing your eyes when you felt the cool breeze blow in against your face. “It's not so bad,” you muttered under your breath as you watched the multicolored leaves flutter and spin in their journey from the trees to the ground.
It wasn't as though you were much of a social butterfly to begin with. But, not being physically capable of even sitting in your living room on your birthday because of the pain left a sour taste in your mouth. Even so, you did your best to brush all of that aside and enjoy the autumn air, and before long, you were drifting back into a comfortable slumber.
Your peace did not last long, however. A knock on your door startled you, as Leda wasn't home, until you remembered — Gale. Becoming used to the presence of this man, who, until a month prior was a mere story of fantasy to you, now living in your home with you, seemed impossible still.
“Gale?” You called out, the scratch of your voice betraying how close to sleep you had been.
“Guilty,” His sheepish voice answered from the other side of the door, and you smiled.
“Come in.”
The doorknob turned, and Gale's handsome face peeked through the crack. “Good morning,” he said gently, and your heart leapt in your chest. ‘If the sun ever burned out, that smile could save us all,’ you thought wistfully as he pushed the door all the way open and came inside. You propped up on your elbow and smiled at him, nearly missing the tray he pushed into the room with him — nearly.
“Gale,” you gasped, your eyes tearing away from him at last in order to take in the spread before you. “What is all of this?”
“Uhm…well, heh.” His hand traveled to the back of his neck and he chuckled. “I couldn't possibly allow you to celebrate your birthday in bed, in pain; alone, without a single breath of fanfare. You deserve a considerable amount more than that. So!” He clapped his hands together suddenly. “We have eggs, toast with apple butter spread, sausage, some fruits, and a pumpkin flavored coffee - iced, of course. I also have a menu for lunch and dinner, if you'd like.”
Your heart swelled in your chest and the sight of Gale before you blurred as tears clouded your vision. He continued.
“I brought your… what did you call it? Computer? In here with me, so that we might watch one of those plays you enjoy.” He paused, seemingly returning to himself, and withdrew ever so slightly. “Of course, none of this is required by any means! All merely suggestions. If you'd rather be left in peace and quiet, I will leave this here and be-”
“Gale,” you interjected, but it's as though he didn't hear you at all.
“I would be happy to leave this here or take it away-”
“Gale-”
“The last thing I would wish is for you to feel pressured in any way-”
“Gale!”
He fell silent immediately, and you couldn't help but feel guilty.
"Come here,” you choked out and reached for him. There was no hesitation. His hands encompassed yours and you nearly sighed aloud in relief. The pain he eased was not in your body, but within your soul. You had been dancing around these feelings you held for a man from worlds away, desperate to keep yourself safe from rejection's cold sting, but when he was here; when he was by your side, your hands safe in his, your fears fell silent. They didn't matter. For even if he rejected you today and disappeared tomorrow, you will have known him; you will have touched him, and you will have loved him with every aching beat of your battered heart.
You smiled at him, your eyes misted with tears, and took in the worry etched into his beautiful features. ‘Did I do too much? Does she not like it? Have I upset her?’ In that moment, he was as easy to read as a book cover and you squeezed his hand in assurance.
"Thank you, Gale," you murmured, and a smile crept across his pink lips, but his eyes were still uncertain. You couldn't bear to let him think that he had done anything but send your heart soaring in your chest, so you took a deep breath and made a brave decision.
Leaning up, you took one of your hands out of his and brushed your fingertips gently upwards through the coarse hairs of his beard, and his lips parted in surprise as your palm came to rest on his cheek. Simultaneously, you pulled yourself up and Gale down, your lips grazing his beard before finding the hollow of his cheek and pressing a tender kiss there.
"This means so much to me. You mean so much to me. I haven't known how to tell you, but…" you whispered in his ear and felt him shudder. You pulled away to ask him what was wrong, but your words were swallowed before their inception by his lips on yours, hot and insistent as his fingers came up to cradle the back of your head, and his digits curled into the hair at the base of your neck to keep you locked in place.
The shocked yelp leaving you melted into a throaty moan as his taste consumed you. You were aflame. His tongue sought entrance into your mouth and you whimpered, allowing him in with no hesitation.
He pulled away suddenly, his chest heaving as he rested his forehead against your own. “Is this-?”
“Yes,” you gasped. “Gale, fuck- yes.” And your breath was stolen once more.
"Gods, Lyra," he groaned against your lips. "You cannot possibly fathom how delectable you taste."
“I- mmf!” Your words were once again lost on your tongue as his delved deeper, exploring you with as much fervor as he did his favorite tomes. He stroked the length of his tongue against yours and a soft, breathy sound emanated from the back of his throat. You came apart in his arms, pulling him closer than you thought possible in this awkward position, and grasped onto his shoulders like the lifeline they were.
A month of hesitation, fear, and uncertainty were swept away in the crashing tide of Gale’s teeth colliding with yours as he used the grip he had on your hair to gently, but firmly, tilt your head to the side, giving him unparalleled access to your depths. You felt fingertips glide up the curve of your neck and you shuddered violently, a whimper ripping from your throat and falling onto his tongue like a prayer. The stiff hairs of his beard scratched the sensitive skin around your mouth as you moved in tandem with him, your mind barely remaining tethered to your body.
Your hands wandered, exploring the dips and planes of Gale’s body as he leaned further over you, conscious of your pain even in the haze of passion. You learned him by touch alone, pressing your fingertips into the muscles and grasping at soft rolls and curves. He felt so foreign and yet so familiar; he felt like coming home.
When you broke apart, it felt like eons had passed. Blue eyes connected with brown ones and you paused there, drinking in the feeling of closeness you had craved for so long. He was searching you; you felt it. “Stay with me,” you whispered, and watched his Adam's apple bounce with the force of his gulp.
“Is that what you want?” He whispered in response.
“Don't you?”
“By all the gods, I want it more than anything. But that's not what I'm asking.”
You canvassed his beautiful face, reveling in how close each of your favorite features were to you now. You could reach up and trace each crease, line, and scar; run your fingernail along each pore, pocket, and imperfection that made Gale who he was. “I want it too. I want you here with me. Please.”
He closed his eyes and a smile pulled up at the creases of his mouth, a sound somewhere between a laugh and a sigh falling from his lips as his warm hands fell to each of your cheeks. “Then you'll need to scoot over. I'm quite a bit larger than the space between us now.”
“Oh Gale, I'm certain you are,” you tittered and he blushed furiously, a hand over his eyes.
“Gods, you will be the end of me.”
“I'm not so sure, you might get me first.”
His hand fell and he looked at you pointedly. “If you continue to tease me, then perhaps I shall.”
Warmth flooded your entire body and you moved back immediately, allowing him room in the bed beside you. His laugh pulled your mind from the heat pooling in your belly and you smiled up at him as he removed his shoes and laid down on his back beside you. His arm opened to you and you were there in seconds, curling under it and pressing close to his side.
“Do you wish to eat? Your breakfast has, more than likely, gotten rather tepid by now.”
“Of course! We can't waste all of your hard work!”
“We?” He questioned you, his eyebrow raising.
“Mmm,” you nodded, reaching across him to grab a strawberry and press it gently to his lips. “I can't eat all of this by myself.”
Gale grinned around the strawberry and opened his mouth to you, taking a slow bite of the juicy fruit, his eyes never leaving yours. You felt his hand come to rest on your lower back and pull you closer to him.
“Come,” he murmured after swallowing, and took the strawberry from you, holding it to your lips now. “Let's share.”

The Story of Penske Cars: the Last American Team to Win in Formula One.
A bit of a pop-up blogpost but I'm going down a bit of a rabbit hole researching Penske Cars, and it's not particularly productive towards anything I'm currently writing, so I might as well turn it into a blogpost. So, here is the story of Penske Cars, the British arm of Team Penske.
Our story begins with Englishman Len Terry, a car designer who had brief stints with Aston Martin, ERA, Hart, Lotus, and Gilby from the late 50s to the early 60s before being rehired by Lotus to work on their Indianapolis 500 efforts.
Terry designed the Lotus 29, which finished 2nd and 7th at Indy in 1963 in the hands of Jim Clark and Dan Gurney. The Lotus 29 would race again at the August race in Milwaukee, and this time they finished 1st and 3rd, respectively.
The 1964 Lotus 34 would suffer a tyre failure 47 laps into the Indy 500, putting Clark out of the race. The team would soon pull Gurney from the race as well on safety grounds, only managing 24th and 17th, respectively.
Parnelli Jones would later win at Milwaukee and Trenton in the 34.
Len Terry would then design the Lotus 38 with which Jim Clark would win the 1965 Indianapolis 500 - with a Wood Brothers pit crew doing two fuel stops, leading to Wood Brothers running a Jim Clark throwback at Darlington later this year - however, he'd leave Lotus before the car ever ran.
That's because Terry joined Dan Gurney's Anglo-American Racers, to design the Eagle Mk.1.
In the hands of Dan Gurney and paired with a 3.0L Weslake V12 engine, this car would win the 1967 Belgian Grand Prix.
Terry would go from one V12 powered F1 car to another, as his next project was the BRM P126, which would get a best result of 2nd courtesy of Richard Atwood at the 1968 Monaco Grand Prix.
Terry would freelance on a few sports car and saloon car projects, however, he would then embark on making his own F5000 cars, the Ledas.
The first Leda, the LT20, was driven by Mac Daghorn in 1970 and entered by a Porsche dealership called Malaya Garage. It operated out of a shop in Poole, England.
The LT25 followed in 1971, then in 1972, New Zealander Graham McRae took over driving duties with the LT27. Over the course of the year, McRae would take more and more control over the project, first renaming his car the GM1, then buying out Malaya Garage, and by July 1st, Len Terry was out as well.
The operation became McRae Cars Ltd., racing out of a shop on Balena Close in the Poole suburb of Creekmoor.
They would contest the Rothmans European F5000 Championship.
This operation would race through 1972 and 1973, with McRae winning twice at Brands Hatch, once at Silverstone, once at Nivelles, and once at Oulton Park to finish third in 1972, before dropping to just one win in 1973 at Mallory Park, all the way down in 14th in the standings.
Thus, in January 1974, Graham McRae would sell his race shop to Roger Penske, who would establish his F1 base here.
The Penske PC1 would be built over the spring and summer of 1974 before making its debut in the North American leg at the end of the season, racing in the Canadian Grand Prix at Mosport and then the United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen in the hands of Penske stalwart Mark Donohue.
The PC1 was due to be the team's full-time car for 1975, however, after only scoring two points - both in Sweden - the PC1 was withdrawn, and a March 751 customer car was run in the interim while its replacement was being developed.
Donohue immediately matched the PC1's 5rh place finish at Sweden by finishing 5th in the British Grand Prix, but two races later at the fearsome Osterreichring, Donohue would have his fatal accident.
Donohue's March blew a tyre and went out of control into turn one, the Hella-Licht Kurve - hitting the barrier hard and hitting his head on a post, either for the safety fence or for a sponsorship billboard. A track marshal was killed, while Donohue initially appeared to be fine, however, he'd go to the hospital in Graz the next day due to a splitting headache.
At the hospital, they realized Donohue had a brain hemorrhage from the accident.
He would die on August 19th, 1975.
Penske would return to F1 at the United States Grand Prix at season end, with John Watson intending to debut the PC3, only to have to fall back on the PC1 due to some teething issues. He would not score any points, but ninth was still considered a respectable enough result for Watson to land the job for 1976.
The PC3 would begin the 1976 season, running the first six races and scoring a fifth at South Africa, before being replaced by the PC4.
The PC4 was an instant improvement, with Watson scoring back-to-back podiums in France and Britain before winning the 1976 Austrian Grand Prix, triumphing at the very same track that Penske had faced such a tragedy at the year prior.
Penske would finish the season 5th with 20 points, however, they would also pull out of Formula One at the end of the season to focus on Indycar.
It was not, however, the end of Penske Cars.
First was that customer teams kept running Penske chassis, first with ATS and Interscope taking over the PC4 for the 1977 season, then with Rebaque.
Yes, Mexican F1 driver Hector Rebaque spent a few years driving for Hesketh and then in privateer Lotus entries, however, for the end of the 1979 season, Rebaque commissioned Penske to build him a car, the HR100, which attempted to run the final three races of the season, without much success.
Next is that when Penske concentrated on Indycar, he also had Penske Cars use all that F1 experience and English racing expertise to build him his own Indycar chassis, the PC5.
The PC5 would make its debut late in the 1977 season, with Tom Sneva running it on the big ovals like Michigan, Texas World Speedway, and Ontario, as well as the season finale at Phoenix.
The PC5 would give Sneva a pole and a fourth place at Michigan, a fifth at TWS, and a third in Ontario, contributing to his 1977 championship.
Mario Andretti would also run the PC5 in Michigan during his partial season campaign.
The PC6 would replace it for 1978, with Sneva in one car while Mario and Rick Mears split the other. Andretti would win at Trenton, Rick Mears would make the most of this part-time opportunity by winning at Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Brands Hatch, while Tom Sneva would, rather impressively, win the USAC championship without winning a single race.
Consistency pays off, huh?
Rick Mears and Bobby Unser would take over duties in 1979 as Mario reduced his Indycar commitments to try and help Lotus regain ground in F1, and this was a dominant lineup. Rick Mears would win his first of four Indy 500s and a championship, while Bobby Unser won an impressive six wins.
Penske would slip a little in 1980, but they'd rebound with Mears winning back-to-back championships in 1981 and 1982, whilst in 1983, that honor went to Bobby's younger brother Al.
No championships in 1984, but Rick would win his second Indy 500, however...this win did not come with a Penske chassis.
The Penske PC-12 struggled in Long Beach and Phoenix, with both cars retiring in both races, thus...Penske switched to a set of Adrian Newey-designed March 84Cs for Indianapolis, and that was rewarded with a win for Mears, but it was the first of a number of stumbles for the Penske chassis program.
Penske used a March 85C for all of 1985, and with Rick Mears still recovering from breaking his legs at Sanair at the end of 1984, Danny Sullivan was brought into the team. Danny would spin and win at Indianapolis, whilst Al Unser pipped his own son to the championship by a single point.
Penske Cars would attempt to return in 1986, buoyed by Roger's investment into Ilmor Engineering to produce a Chevrolet-badged engine to go with the car, however, both of Penske's wins that season - Meadowlands and Cleveland - came courtesy of Danny Sullivan in a March-Cosworth.
The Penske PC-16 was used much more seriously in 1987, however, their biggest success that year was winning Indianapolis, and Al Unser did that with a year-old March 86C and the Cosworth engine to match.
The Chevrolet did get its first win in 1987, courtesy of Rick Mears at Pocono, but even that was in the back of a March.
At this point, however, Penske Cars was serious about returning to the forefront, therefore, they moved into an expanded facility on Factory Road, now closer to Upton than Poole. Here, Penske Cars would crank out some legendary cars like the PC-17 that swept the front row at Indianapolis, the PC-23 with its "Beast" engine, and Penske's final car, the 1999 PC-27B.
1988 through 1994 probably marks the golden age of the Penske Cars program, however, because a Penske chassis and a Chevrolet-Ilmor engine was the way to go for those years.
'88? Rick Mears wins the 500 and Danny Sullivan wins the title.
'89? Emerson Fittipaldi wins the 500 and the title in a Patrick Racing customer Penske-Chevrolet while Rick Mears comes second.
'90? Arguably the weakest link, but you still have Emerson Fittipaldi, Danny Sullivan, and Rick Mears now all on the same team, each of them won races, and this began the Marlboro era of Penske Racing.
'91? Rick Mears wins his record-equaling fourth Indy 500.
'92? Emerson wins four races while Mears splits time with a young Canadian hotshot by the name of Paul Tracy.
'93? Mears has retired, but Emerson wins three races including the Indy 500 whilst Tracy wins five races. They finish second and third in the standings to Nigel Mansell.
'94? Chevy is gone, but Al Unser Jr. is in, and Little Al wins eight races on his way to the championship. These races include the Indy 500, where a 3.43L pushrod engine is created to abuse a loophole in the regulations, and with Mercedes-Benz badging it, Penske is fast but unreliable. Still, Al Unser Jr. wins the Indianapolis 500.
For 1995, Mercedes-Benz takes over badging the Ilmor engines full-time, but the Mercedes-Benz era never quite lived up to the same success. Emerson and Little Al were bumped out of the 500. Little Al put on a title challenge as well, but it wasn't enough to stop Jacques Villeneuve.
1996 went winless, 1997 brought three wins in a row for Paul Tracy but still they failed to win the championship. 1998 would go even worse as Tracy left for Team Green and was replaced with Andre Ribeiro.
Then 1999 was a confusing and tragedy filled season as Penske put Al Unser Jr. in for the full season, but his teammate was sporadic at best. Tarso Marques did a few races, Alex Barron did one, whilst Gonzalo Rodriguez did Detroit and then was going to do more races when he died in a crash at Laguna Seca, suffering a basilar skull fracture.
All the while Penske was switching between its PC-27B and a Lola 99/00.
As if losing Rodriguez wasn't bad enough, Penske signed Greg Moore for 2000, only for the Canadian to spin out at the final race in Fontana, bounce across the grass, bounced over an across road which sent the car flying at an angle, and then it hit a concrete wall at that angle. This ripped the car in half, and the cockpit half bounced across the grass some more before coming to a rest upside down. He was pronounced dead at 1:20pm.
For 2000, Penske would run Brazilians GIl de Ferran and Helio Castroneves, both of them in Reynard 2Kis. Penske Cars continued, however, as these Reynards used many bespoke cars, leading to them earning the nickname "Renske."
Penske Cars would continue into the IRL era, seeing Helio and Gil pick up Indy 500 wins of their own, however, in 2006, Penske Cars was shutdown.
This was the same year that Penske left its longtime Indycar base in Reading, Pennsylvania to consolidate its operations in Mooresville, North Carolina, where its NASCAR team had already been based. This process was only exacerbated due to massive floods in Pennsylvania during the summer of 2006.
Thus, from 1974 to 2006, this has been the entire history of Penske Cars.
This blogpost turned out a little longer than expected, so how about we just pretend that this was posted on Monday and was the main blog for this coming week, huh?

Bonus poster for the "Genmu Senki Leda II Image Album", Starchild, January 1986. Artwork by Mutsumi Inomata. After the success of the first "Leda" OVA, Toho and King Records decided to give a sequel the green light. An image single and image album were released in December 1985 and January 1986 respectively, and the film was announced for a theatrical release in the summer of 1986. However due to various circumstances the project never came to fruition.

okay so I always wanted to work on a show soundtrack so here's some songs I would put in s2 because since its probably maybe not gonna happen these can be canon in my head
Stupid Cupid by Connie Francis - okay so imagine if you will. The episode starts out jarring, maybe some payneland smooching out of nowhere, makes you go back to the last episode thinking you missed a scene. But then Edwin opens his eyes, he's lying on the ground or something, and is immediately thrust into the middle of a fight scene(this is where the song starts playing). He had just been temporarily knocked out and had some dream sequence or something idk. The fight scene is in a fancy restaurant or smth and it's close to Valentine's day and it's all decorated with hearts and stuff. This song is diegetic, playing in the restaurant.
Flaws by Bastille - I'd probably put it during end credits/end of the episode. It feels very transitional to me. It's a song on the Charles playlist so of course it's gonna play after a scene with Charles heavy lore or something. Maybe Charles's dad dies, and the song starts at the beginning of the funeral scenes. Then, long after everyone's already left, Charles goes and stands in front of the gravestone and his mom is just there kneeling in the grass in front of him and doesn't know he's there and yeah. It's like, the start of Charles's Actually-finding-peace-and-confronting-trauma arc or smth.
Girls on Film by Duran Duran - good for a montage of like Crystal adjusting to having rich, showy parents. She thinks maybe if she helps them out with their big projects, which she assumes the old her didn't do, maybe they'll start seeing her and caring about her like parents should. Going to grand openings and being photographed/interviewed, being in the public sphere all the sudden. Crystal's overcompensating for being a major jerk in her past life and is now bending over backwards to be nice to everyone (which, from experience, isn't exactly healthy either)(aka she's gone the "obsess-over-being-good-enough" route that Charles's gone down)(yikes).
The Killing Moon by Echo and the Bunnymen - I honestly have no vivid images for this one. I just like the song, I think it matches the mood of the show. Maybe something about Crystal and David? A final confrontation? Cus I saw someone (I'm sorry I forgot who) say they thought it would be interesting if Crystal's powers get "contaminated" by David cus he's still buried by the tree. So like a final standoff.
Swan Upon Leda by Hozier OR Eurydice by Eugénie - I think s2 would be more about Charles' journey the way s1 was more about Edwin BUT i'm also curious about Edwin's life. Something happens where Edwin maybe ends up at his old house, or relives his memories and it's all in slow motions and more calm than Charles's in ep4. They're not all bad, but Edwin was different and outcasted and the likes. George Rexstrew said himself that he thought Swan Upon Leda described Edwin really well, but also Eurydice gives off a sort of melancholy floatiness that fits with a boy 100+ years dead reliving an upbringing that now seems to foreign to him, and yet is ingrained in every part of himself.
Since listening to music is my #1 hobby, I will probably find more songs down the line and add on, but this is what I got for now.
#dead boy detectives#charles rowland#edwin payne#payneland#crystal palace#wow this is a lot of words i wrote just now#i imagine edwins memories to have willow trees and fog coming off lakes and a big white estate

I find it extremely funny that Ansbach wants to give Freyja information because she is young enough to take up the good fight he cannot. But instead she receives the information and is like, “Perfect, this is exactly what I could have hoped for, no need to worry now, time to help Miquella with his age.”
If Miquella has one failing, it’s not trusting these people to begin with. Freyja and Hornsent were with him no matter what. Actually, all his charm really did was give Leda group-project skills, stop Ansbach from wanting to murder him, lessen Moore’s depression, and make his freaky stalker forget he’s trans. Yeah, it didn’t really solve the problems, more like put a bandaid on them, but it wasn’t evil.
Come on, Formsoft! Give me a reason to murder this twink, because he seems fine so far. And there’s no way his ending would be worse than fucking Dungeater’s, yet Dungeater gets his own ending.

Also belated posting, this is a screenshot edit with a bunch of OCs belonging to members of the Fan Senshi Alliance server. I actually raffled off the spots lol, with the idea this would be an easy thing to work on in between my big project. I was reminded that angled cutoff shots aren't as easy as they seem though lol
I'm not super happy with how my Sailor Atlas (centre) came out tbh, she looks a lot younger and not quite as stern as I wanted, but oh well, it's still something for her. I quite like how Sailor Nike (top left) turned out though :)
Character credits, clockwise from the top left:

The sources for my final project
Hello, in this week's post I am going to introduce more of the sources that I will be using for my final project. Let me remind you of my subject: "Biblical and Mythological Imagery in Hozier's Music: a Study of Religious Reinterpretation"
In my last post, I introduced the songs/album I was going to focus on as a primary source, but I wanted to add something. As Mme Grassy asked, I indeed forgot to specify that I will also be using some music videos. Though I will mostly analyse lyrics, I might dive into the videos of 'Swan Upon Leda', and 'Eat Your Young'.
Now for my secondary sources, I will of course work with the Negus -the chapter 'Histories', the importance of historical knowledge, in the sense that Hozier echoes with his music the presence of mythological and biblical references in the literary tradition, and builds his own musical identity from that. I will also be exploring the roles of the religious imagery, so I thought of the chapter 'Politics', because I feel like I cannot dissect these roles in songs like 'Take Me To Church' or 'Swan Upon Leda' without mentioning that they are political songs.
I am also going to draw on a few articles on my subject, such as the following:
Finally, although it's already implied in my project title, I am going to draw on mythology (mainly Christian and Greek), but also on Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. Indeed, I have already mentioned that Hozier's last album was heavily inspired by Dante's work. I find it a bit complicated to differentiate the type of sources in this particular case -The Divine Comedy is only a literary work, it's not sacred, based not only on biblical references, but also on Greek and Roman mythology. So I would tend to describe it as a secondary source of mythology, but I am still wondering if I can consider it as a secondary source for my project.
Let me know what you think!
Have a great weekend, Jude x
