how they dance | 400 words
4 Yume Yume Jump drabbles for Day 5 of MMJ Fan Week on Twitter
one, two, three, the four of them—if nobody else, Kanade has to do everything she can to support all of them. She wasn’t supposed to be an idol. Producers don’t perform, and Kanade doesn’t dance. She’s not accustomed to leaving her house let alone meeting up for singing and dance rehearsals everyday. The sudden lifestyle change has been exhausting, but even so, if personally delivering the music she writes can help even one person, if being a fourth member can do any good for the others, if she can find a way to save herself, then she has to try.
five, six, seven, eight—this is so stupid. Shiho should be playing at a concert or at least running fingering drills until the strings of her bass are worn. She doesn’t understand how she could let herself get roped into something that has nothing to do with her goal; least of all she understands why she’s starting to care so much. Her sister and their manager promised her freedom as a temp. So what if she doesn’t have the choreography down entirely? She doesn’t need to dance where she’s going. Shiho isn’t an idol. Why is she suddenly trying to be?
one, two, three, four—An has to memorize every step. She needs to be able to move without hesitation, without thought. These movements will become second nature so that she can focus the most on singing, performing, and delivering. She finally has people to perform beside, and she only had to give up what was most important to her to find them. After such a sacrifice, she has to do everything to not lose them too. If she is going to stand a chance of living her dream, she must make every action count or run herself into the ground trying.
five, six, seven, eight—no, that’s not right. Do it again. Shizuku has to gain full control of her body. Every step, point, and turn is intentional. As the recognizable name, the selling point, the beautiful face of Yume Yume Jump, she has to do all she can to live up to their expectations—no, that’s not right. She has to surpass them. They all have to surpass what they think they can be to stand a chance with a crowd. She must do her best—be perfect. In front of adversity, she quickly realizes the only thing they can do is try.

good morning everyone, rise and shine, have you thought about the world hasn't even started yet today? nope? then now you do! because with full emukasa and ruinene sekahaji alts finally releasing, it's time for me to (over)analyze my favorite and definitely one of the most underrated wonderlands x showtime's songs that is still haunting the narrative to this day. (haunting the narrative is actually a bit of a dramatic way to call it, but i like to be dramatic and so do wxs.)
in full seriousness, i just really, really like sekahaji's lyrics and it's such a shame it's not getting talked about that much anymore only because that's an old song, especially since pinocchiop is a lyrics genius. so if you're interested in my personal interpretation of sekahaji, including analyzing the foreshadowing of the future events included in the lyrics and analyzing the line distribution not only in the original ver, but in the alt vocals as well, then tune in! because i have a lot to say.
will be using the screenshots from vocaloid lyrics wiki, but i'm going to say who's singing the line anyways, so it's not that much of a problem. i think. (also the alts line distribution is not really that important, it's mostly ruikasa and emunene singing each other's lines with two exceptions. but some lines hurt more when it's the other who sings it, so who am i not to mention it?)
Tumblr media
"sekahaji is such a fun song" and then the first lines of the song after the bunch of hey heys and it's showtimes are already giving me a bunch of an emotional damage. oh, man. being a wxs fan sureee is so fun.
while we're at the topic of the first lyrics, it's kinda interesting that rui's the one who says "let's go!" instead of tsukasa, as this is expected from the latter with his position as the troupe leader — but i'm not going to read too much into it, because i doubt it matters lol. if i have to somehow explain it, then i'd say it's because rui's a stage director, so he's in charge of being the one to start the show. sort of. it's not really important.
"with a cast who can use magic and monsters who are burdened with trauma" is such a tsukasa line, honestly. it may seem more rui-like at first, but it fits tsukasa a lot, too. personally, i always interpret it as a spark contrast between who wxs were and who wxs are now — their pasts weren't the most pleasant thing ever (with exception of maybe emu, but even she is still haunted by the grief from her grandpa's death), they indeed were pretty traumatized (especially rui, but you cannot just ignore the rest). they were monsters, because they weren't perfect. and tsukasa is the type of person who strives for perfection.
they're not monsters anymore, however. (they never were, but try to explain it to four traumatized teenagers) now, it's their turn to be the magic-using cast! and the mentioned magic is them putting on shows and spreading shows, obviously. if you read into it a bit more, you can even say that the former cast, the one from when wxs were still these so-called monsters, was their idols, the people who sparked the dream of performing in them — seiichi amami, rakunosuke otori, yuka kazamatsuri and tom gray. (such an insane april fools unit)
in the ruinene alt, rui's the one who sings this line. and this stings a bit, because obviously... he'd think of himself as a monster burdened with trauma. rui...
Tumblr media
nene is the one who sings this line in original, and this makes sense. that's a rather logical line, and so is nene. "disappear" isn't meaning death here, as it often means in the proseka terms — "disappear" is just the another word of something passing, something ending. vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas, you can say. i'm sorry that was stronger than me.
the disband arc (i'm so sorry, i know we're way past it. but it is an important part of the wxs lore. i'm not going to shut up about it) had it very beginning in nene, after all. its first mentions appeared in mermaid admiration, which was just a mere start of both the second arc and the second rotation (wxs has only just started getting better, after all!), and then island panic started the domino that was curtain call, amidst a dream and so on, and so on. nene knew that everyone's destined to disappear — to part ways — someday. this was creeping up to her from behind almost from the very start.
in the emukasa anabo, it's emu who got this line. it makes it even worse, because it's what emu's perspective of the disband arc was about. she wanted to stay at wonder stage, nene, rui and tsukasa wanted to go further than it. everyone's destined to disappear someday, because her dream is just too simple for them to share it.
Tumblr media
okay, i'm gonna be honest here — i have no clue what to do with this line. i didn't want to skip it, as it's rui's solo line and is surrounded by such impactful words, it surely makes sense, i just don't really see it at this moment. sorry rui. the best i can do is to say that "heartbeat fading over time" may symbolize rui's deteriorating mental state in middle school, but, like... that's an awful reaching.
it makes a bit more sense when you look at it from tsukasa's pov, both because he has this line in the emukasa alt and because it's a song formed from his feelings — the heartbeat here is his real ambition, his want to make everyone smile and the way he forgot it in the main story. still don't know what to do with the ticket that's long past expired. my thoughts are kinda going in the direction of it being wonderland sekai, but i don't have any argument to actually explain it.
Tumblr media
finally coming to an end of this part, (not because it's bad, but because it hurts), at this point you can guess that it's a line sung by emu and oh god, it made me suffer so much when i was waiting for our happy ending to release. yep, it's the foreshadowing of the disband arc again, who would've think, right? looking back at it now where the disband arc is finally resolved (for now. it's going to come back one day, surely), it's one of my favorite lines in the song, as it touches emu's internal struggle during these days perfectly.
i'm assuming the "let's come" means "let's come here" as in: come to a certain place (in my interpretation, wonder stage) because i have no idea why the "here" isn't here, as i was pretty much convinced that it was. but whatever. the way i see this line is how emu was always happily inviting the rest of wxs to visit wonder stage, wanting to spend time with them and make everyone smile, yet deep down in herself still knowing that she shouldn't take it as granted. she would want to spend yet another year with wxs by her side, but, back then, it was not a promise. there was always this possibility that next year, she'll be alone once again — because wonder stage is their place to go, but it's not going to be this way for forever.
in the ruinene anabo, nene got this line. i'm not going to say a lot about it, as i've already covered this topic before — it's a mermaid admiration reference, once again. even more so in this very line, because when i think about associating this line with nene, the first thing i see is her mermaid admiration untrained.
i think it's also pretty interesting that while tsukasa and rui got the lines that are more similiar to main story/first arc, emu and nene got the lines about the second arc!
Tumblr media
i don't have much to say about it, it's just that rui sings this line and it makes me think about main story — to the wxs fall-out, specifically. the troupe didn't even properly start yet, just like the world!, and yet there are already bad things happening — tsukasa screamed at nene for messing up the show, rui got mad at tsukasa and decided not to come here again, emu is blaming herself for everything, for being unable to make them smile. it's definitely already no-good... just like most of rui's experiences.
as you can probably guess by the way the line distribution is arranged in the alts, tsukasa got this line in emukasa anabo. and this makes a lot of sense after all too, because, well... it was him who messed up. maybe it's about the moment when he finally realizes his true feelings?
Tumblr media
the only explanation for this line is that tsukasa's feelings are currently all over the place because he's experiencing overstimulation. the conclusion is that tenma tsukasa has ADHD, thank you, time to pack it up, analysis over, everyone go home
i'm just kidding, but this line has been permanently noted in my brain as "the ADHD tsukasa line" ("why not autism tsukasa line" take a good look at my url. the sole reason is that i'm a bit insane) so it's hard for me to see it as anything else. we're not discussing tsukasa's obvious neurodivergence today, though, so let's move on to me trying to actually make something out of it—
"there's too much noise" part belongs to nene, while the rest of the line is sung by emu. nene (more in the early game than nowadays, but still) is often seen complaining and flinching at loud noises, and this was my first thought, however! emu got this line as well, and she doesn't really have any issue with loud noises as she's a very energetic and cheerful person, right? (and so is tsukasa and yet for some reason he has this line in his very own song. but i'm not going to repeat myself) here comes my second thought — it's referencing the main story fight. it would make sense both for nene (she's the one who is screamed at) and emu (she thinks it's her fault for being "selfish") to have it. this is also one of the two exceptions where it's not just rks emnn singing each other lines — rui and tsukasa in their respective anabos got the "there's too much noise" part. if it was about the fight, it'd make sense for rui as well — after all, he's the one who has to look at his childhood friend getting blamed for something that is partially his fault.
on a slightly unrelated note, i'm a big fan of the way how in emukasa alt tsukasa sings "there's too much noise" in a voice that's close to breaking, while emu is happily going "so much noise! and it keeps getting worse!!" with sparkles and flowers all around her. i love her so much. never change emu.
Tumblr media
besides "just as i always have" that's sung by nene, this whole line belongs completely to emu — and i think this says a lot. the "deteriorating, abandoned room" is yet another metaphor for wonder stage, because that's how wonder stage was like when tsukasa sees it for the first time; deteriorated and abandoned, with emu as its only visitor. but emu doesn't give up. emu keeps on dreaming, keeps on wishing for it to return to its former glory.
i didn't say anything about the first line, because, uh. despite being sung by emu, i think it correlates to tsukasa and his ambitions more, etc, etc... but i also don't have a clear enough thought to elaborate on it. sorry!
Tumblr media
the deeper we are in the song, the more cheerful the melody and the vibe of it gets, while the lyrics are starting to go in a slightly... different direction. the lyrics are inviting you to a never-ending party, a way to cope with all the bad things that happen to you. it fits wxs a lot, doesn't it? they're the group that is sharing childlike wonder with everyone and wishes to make people smile, while themselves are being often paralleled with niigo and aren't really the happiest and healthiest people in the universe (and they have a habit of not talking about their feelings as well). it would make sense for them to want to cut the negativity in their lives off, not only for their own sake, but also for the sake of the others around them (after all, this was the whole point of smile of a dreamer). wonderland sekai is their place to go, a place where they can drown themselves in the never-ending fun and fight off the negativity. because... they still can do it, right? because the world hasn't even started yet.
at this point, they're much better, obviously. because we're almost four years in the game and now wxs isn't only their escapism anymore, it's the place filled with the people they all love so much. but when we were still at main story, it'd make sense for them to be just like that, as their bond still wasn't as strong as it is now back then.
this part came out a bit too angsty than i wanted and i'm not proud of it, but i don't really know how to express what i mean with it in words. if you actually understood my intention, then you deserve a gold star. i'll have to rewrite it a few months later probably eh
Tumblr media
while a lot of people think of this line as of a really dark one, i don't think that's the case! actually, it's a rather positive and optimistic one. the mention of hell can make someone flinch, that's for sure, but it's the same case as the mentioned earlier "monsters burdened with trauma" — it's just wxs self-deprecating themselves because of their past. for most of them, their past experiences surely could be called "hell", because everyone experiences trauma differently. but they're not in this hell anymore. their past is over, they're not alone anymore, they have each other now — this is their happy ending that plays out... from their phones, in form of the untitled.
after all, rui was right! the ending for sure will be a happy one, as long as they are together!
Tumblr media
i've noticed that a lot of the sekahaji lyrics are matching with the latter ones, and this is no expection: once again, the first line talks about the first arc events, while the second is leaning more onto the second arc, just like in the first verse.
i'm not a native english speaker, so i have to admit, i had to look up what does thick-skinned mean lol i'm a bit surprised that's actually a rather positive thing? with how tsukasa was acting in the main story, i was expecting it to be more on the negative side. i can't say that it doesn't fit, though. tsukasa's most famous (?) depiction as a king is his wonder magical showtime card, while wonder magical showtime itself is an event focusing on how tsukasa is not going to let go of emu's dream that easily, that even the criticism of the phenniland members that didn't want to help them at first is not going to stop him (although it's been a long time since i watched wms, so correct me if i'm wrong!) — and that's what i understood that thick-skinned means.
meanwhile, rui is the alchemist. he's often described as such and is even depicted as one in his revival my dream card (...but we don't talk about revival my dream). and while "full of desires" doesn't neccesarily mean greedy — it's normal to have wishes and desires, after all — rui is not only called that by himself, but by the game as well, since he, too, has his own desires. and... having too much desires is a dangerous thing. (it kind of sounds like i'm demonizing rui i'm going to cry. that is NOT my intention i swear.)
and as i said earlier, the second line is corresponding to disband arc again. presented as the happy, unbothered group on the surface, wxs is some kind of an utopia, a perfect world, and so is their sekai — but they're always being followed by this feeling of uncertainty, of impending goodbye. or rather, were followed. whether you think disband arc is going to come back one day or not, i think it's safe to assume that sekahaji's references are not going further than our happy ending. at the point of the wxs story where we are now, the disband arc is resolved. of course, one day their utopia will cease to exist and they'll truly be forced to leave their attachments behind, returning to the real world. but this day is not today. today, they can still be happy. because the world hasn't even started yet. (or has it, it's just more pleasant that they were expecting?)
i didn't mention who's singing these lines earlier, but... i've already covered this topic many times. tsukasa (rui in ruinene anabo) is singing the first, nene (emu in emukasa anabo) is singing the second. and my explanation for it is pretty much similiar to the verses from the very beginning, so... yeah, let's just move on to something more interesting, shall we?
Tumblr media
this fragment is matching the fragment starting with "there is too much noise", so that's my yet another argument for it referencing the main story fight — and this part is way more transparent in doing so. "there's too much conflict" is sung only by nene, but the latter part is sung by both her and emu. and as we already know, nene was the one who suffered the most in it, while emu was the one blaming herself the most (interestingly though, nene sings the "i couldn't help but worry" in the full group version!). the boys got "there's too much conflict" in their respective alts as well, so rui singing this line applies to his reaction to the fight, too.
"it's like when our arms are all tangled together" could be the failed show, because that's what happens when you mess up. it's also emu who sings this, and it's a very emu-like way of describing things.
and even though tsukasa is not singing the last line (it's still either emu or nene, depending on the version) it's still his untitled, so i can boldly say that it's about him. he brushed off the dust of his memories and rebooted himself, remembering his true feelings and entering his path to become a better person. the fight has ended and we're nearing the end of the song, just like we're nearing the end of the main story.
you can also say that it's about rebooting robonene. that... would work as well, i guess.
Tumblr media
haha, hey, do you know what's happening on nene's mermaid admiration untrained? wxs are playing with fireworks, together. and do you know what they also want to do together? stay like that for forever. it truly was out firework show that lasts a lifespan!
the motif of a firework show appears also in wonder magical showtime, where it's an ending for the show the phenniland cast put on to save phoenix wonderland from being turned into a place that doesn't resemble the old phoenix wonderland at all. it's no wonder wxs would want it to last a lifespan. after all, it's emu's dream for phenniland to never change and always be the place that she remembers from her childhood.
Tumblr media
and this is just a description of wonderland sekai, honestly. it has roller coaster in it + they are often seen in the background of various wxs cards. the starry skies are often present as well. it's not like we got two (2) songs with "starry sky" in their name for nothing.
Tumblr media
i feel like "the best of the worst of crappy plays" is the show that sparked the main story argument in the first place — it was messed up, so it was crappy and horrible, no doubt for that. but it's also the best — why? because if not its failure, tsukasa wouldn't find his true feelings and wxs wouldn't even form. when such a crappy play made you get closer to your best friends and turned your life for the better, how can you not feel at least slightly grateful for its existence?
the second line is included here as well, because i don't really have an idea what to do with it. it's such a great line, however, so it would be a shame to just leave it out. the only thing i'm going to mention is that it's interesting that the prospect of an ending was there with them from the very, very beginning.
Tumblr media
this one i see as a nod to smile of a dreamer and wonder magical showtime — because emu's family already had their own plans about what to do with phoenix wonderland. these were the plans that'd make them a lot of money, so it was their "harmonius future", even though emu didn't agree with it.
emu alone wasn't able to do much, but then she met wxs... and then the entirety of phenniland stood by her side. together, they were able to break the plans for a harmonious future. together, they were able to made her dream come true.
Tumblr media
and, finally, the last line i'm going to talk about today! the bell is a symbol for new beginnings, just like this lyric itself says, so the act of ringing it is a new era in tsukasa's, emu's, nene's and rui's lives beginning — the formation of wonderlands x showtime! especially since it's the last line in the song aside of the last the world hasn't even started yet (not counting the hey heys and it's showtimes once again).
this is not the only time the bell is referenced in a wxs song, though — because it made an appearance also in the 2DMV for sekai wo terasu tetrad, once again symbolizing a new beginning, a new era, although this time it's a sekai expansion. and because i mentioned sekai wo terasu tetrad, i can now swiftly go to the conclusion of this post:
sekahaji is such a great song, because despite being the first wxs comm, it's foreshadowing the events way up to the third anni and this is not talked about enough. is this still applying to the events after the third anni? nope! not because they cannot be easily altered so they could still fit the lyrics, but because sekahaji has simply fulfilled its purpose already. i haven't studied sekai wo terasu tetrad's lyrics that much in-depth yet and i don't think it has the same 100% lore value that sekahaji has, as i don't think there's anything that hints tetrad being a canon second untitled, but it's the song released by the occasion of a sekai expansion — and if there are going to be future events foreshadowed, then it's going to happen in tetrad. not going to think about it too much for now, as three events (world link not included) isn't enough to say it for sure imo (unless it's going to be as short as the first arc was), but that's definitely a possibility.
that would be all! there's too much of my rambling in here anyways. i haven't really checked it, so i'm sorry if i ended up saying nonsense — after all, as i always say, i'm a overthinker, not an analyst! everything i said here is just my personal interpretation either way. i hope that you at least enjoyed listening to me babbling about sekahaji for way too much words straight!
and i hope that my main goal has been accomplished and you've just went to listen to the world hasn't even started yet because now you, too, have thought about it. right? <3

March 31st, 2024 - ProSeka, Arcaea, TAKUMI, maimai, DDR A20 PLUS
alas, as they all say, all good things must come to an end. as much as i've enjoyed the con so much and all my time here, it was almost time to go. what i enjoyed here would be the last i enjoyed, as we all prepared to bid our farewells to the event by its end time at 5 PM PDT. but first, a word from my arcaea and proseka scores from yesterday that i couldn't fit into this post due to hitting the 30 image limit in tumblr posts!! they're nothing special, really, but i wouldn't be keeping in spirit of the account if i didn't include them. so here, a quick expert 26 AP and a Rise of the World FTR-10 EX!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
alright, now back to the con. i mostly stuck with my friends as we got there before the artist valley opened somehow, and we hung around that area until they had to go get some things signed by their favorite VAs. while we were waiting for the doors to open, i checked out takumi cubic for their april fools joke of the year and got my friend to hold my phone while i played one of the chart lab charts (the one for freedom dive where it's just the insanity chart but all trace notes). sadly though, his holding SUCKED and i ended up getting two misses even though i should've gotten NONE!!!
Tumblr media
meanwhile, being abandoned and left to roam the arch building on my own, i got the thought: since all the rhythm game tourneys were over now, wouldn't maimai finally be free from that huge crowd? sure enough, once i got up to the right level and up to the cabs, the next spot in line was free! (save for one single person waiting, who i could partner up with to get an extra song anyways). i logged in to the cab for the second time ever, nodded to my play partner (who was logging in for the first time and suffering all the new content notifications) and got warmed up for the maimai experience:tm: which was INSANELY FUN!!! god i wish i had maimai access anywhere near me . alas, we can't have good things (or at least Every good thing)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
finished with that, i try and track down my friends who finally got their autographs and wanted to play DDR in the moment. i was down to play DDR EXTREME PRO, which i haven't even experienced properly before, but they wanted to play DDR A20 PLUS there which was fine anyways. i let them play first since i was moreso interested in playing at round 1 by myself, but i gave in to the temptation and played some sets with each one (except my friend's sister) and fucking DESTROYED them oh my GOD . here's a snapshot of some of the scores, i have a video of me playing tiger rampage CSP-17 (in cosplay of course) but i still have to get it from my friend who recorded . nevertheless, here's the goodies! (there's some other scores i took pictures of that were sweet accomplishments from my friends, but i won't share them here for obvious reasons. anything AA or above is my side)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
after that, we transferred over to the summit building and walked around some of the stalls before we bid farewell to the con, as it was closing 45 minutes after a reservation we had at the cheesecake factory. it was bittersweet, even if i wasn't at my most hype at first, and i'll very dearly miss it. but while we were waiting for our food at the cheesecake factory, i played last year's april fools chart for renda joceky for shits and giggles!! (it went horribly)
Tumblr media
after eating, we went back home via the link trains and said our farewells at each house as this unforgettable experience came to a close. i'll miss it... but now that i was home, i could enjoy the all-new april fools charts guilt-free!!! (just arcaea's prank) (i didn't have enough progress in any other rhythm games on this phone)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and so, the extra-long post saga comes to an end. unless i attend some other event with a lot to talk about, i'll keep the rest of these posts short as i want to conserve both my time and sanity for actual important stuff like homework instead of writing summaries of my rhythm game scores that no one really reads. man . 'til next time though!

Hey, I’m not dead! Sorry I haven’t done much for a few days. I realize like a week isn’t that long technically, but I haven’t actually written stuff for awhile. And what better to make a comeback than by talking about the April Fools ‘event’ on the JP server. I’m going to react and write out my thoughts on each of the songs that came out and maybe talk about the groups. I haven’t seen all of the info about what exactly this event is, but I’ll still make some speculations about it. (I watched Jaycy’s translation and I just realized, omg we’re in an AU where what if the OG groups never got together and that’s why we have these groups. Omg) Let’s gooo.
Also disclaimer, I know that these songs are suppose to be more light-hearted like ‘oh haha what if these people sang this song’, but I’ll still comment on quality. I feel like if you’re going to do something like this, might as well go all in.  (Looking back, I realize I use the word soft a lot. To explain a little more, I guess either too quiet or too low energy or both). Edit: Jaycy released another translation for area convos so I’ll add more as time goes along. So stuff in parentheses are stuff I added after I posted this long mess of a review. RIP me.)
1st group- FANTASISTA SQUAD. Ifuudoudou.
Right off the bat, I’m a little disappointed they went w/ this song. Just bc I think that it would’ve been more fun to do something like Dr. FunkBeat or King. Also, I know some people will disagree, but I feel a little disappointed they just stuck all the boys together. I think it also would have been more interesting to see more interactions between the guys and different girls since I feel like we already kind of have a feel for how these 4 would interact with each other. So yeah the song, I don’t like it that much. I mean I like the song in general, but this version doesn’t really do it for me. Disclaimer, I don’t know much about music or how it’s made, so sorry if I get stuff wrong. So, this cover is kind of too ‘soft’ for me I guess. To me, all the guys sound kinda subdued and unenergetic like they’re not into it. I’ll admit that the Proseka version w/ AkiToya also isn’t my favorite, but I like it more than this 4-man version for some reason. No idea why. I think maybe bc the nqrse version of the song is the first version of it I’ve ever heard and that sort of influenced how I see it. Anyways, I’m totally biased with this one unfortunately so I’m sorry if I offended anyone on this group and song. So this is a skip for me. I know people will disagree with me on this since we all love the boys, but I guess I just don’t feel excited with this group and song.
I think the group dynamics are funny though. Tsukasa is screaming about wings and being a pegasus in the back alleys, Rui just saw Tsukasa and was like ‘oh yeah this’ll be fun’, Toya I guess is the one who convinced them all to be a group, and the only reason Akito is there is to make sure his partner Toya doesn’t get dragged in the other two’s antics. (Saw the area convo, it’s actually Tsukasa and Rui trying to recruit AkiToya and Toya being on board. It sounds like they’ve been doing shows as a duo, Tsukasa/Rui, and Toya wants to learn from them. Rui also seems to help direct and plan out the shows, though it’s still Rui lol. I guess Akito and Rui could kinda get along). So basically Akito would be the voice of reason for this group which is a little scary. Like with VBS, sure he has connections, helps with booking shows, and helps with on-stage outfits (that’s a lot actually), but I also think the others pitch in a lot to help make it feel balanced. So basically, I feel like with Fantasia Squad, Akito is gonna burst a vessel dealing with everyone LMAO. Rip Akito. I have no idea why Tsukasa wants to be in a street squad though.
2nd group- Kyujitsu, Shumijin Doushi de, Venom.
I like this version well enough. Thought the group was a little weird at first and I think I still do. Venom is one of my favorite covers from 25ji so I’m kinda glad they covered it here. I will admit though that Minori, Nene, and Honami are all sort of the softer parts of the song while Mizuki comes in with the strong vocals. I like Mizuki’s cover of the song, but I also think it sort of takes attention away from the other 3 bc of how powerful Mizuki’s voice is. Like I think the other 3 sang the song well, but when Mizuki comes in, it sort of overshadows the other 3, which is kind of a shame. These covers are sort of supposed to be a way to look at ‘what if these randomly picked people sang together’ and it is sort of felt more like Mizuki + Minori/Nene/Honami. I don’t blame Mizuki or the VA, I blame whoever chose the group and song. Other than that, I like how Nene is singing in this, Honami is doing a great job, and Minori is a little soft for me but I think she sounds cute with the song. Honestly, if they released solo covers I would like it more.
This is such an odd group as well since I think Minori and Nene have talked before during that one event in the JP server, but other than that these people have never interacted before really. It sounds like they just got together bc they liked the same stuff and talk about their hobbies. They sound more like an afterschool club or something, but since they’re based around 25ji, I guess they all met online. Nene mentioned they all like video games and musicals so maybe they bonded online through that? Mizuki seems to like video games and is mentioned to link Let’s plays to the other 25ji members. In Puchiseka, Minori is the one to play the horror game in a stream. I have no idea with Honami. She mentions they have off-parties at her home so I guess they interact mainly online. Still this group does have some sad context since this means that Minori gave up on her idol dream, Honami might not have made up with the rest of Leo/need, I’m not sure how close Nene is with Rui in this universe, and Mizuki doesn’t have interactions with Ena to help ‘save’ them/make them open up. Like Minori, Honami, and Nene would definitely help/support Mizuki, but I’m not sure how deep their friendship is or if they even notice that Mizuki has some deep dark secret. Nene is the only person who goes to the same school as Mizuki and she might know, but at the same time, Mizuki is probably still skipping so Nene might not connect that the rumors are about Mizuki. Honami may notice that something is up with Mizuki and maybe Nene. Minori would immediately try to help as soon as she realizes there’s a problem. But the thing is, we know Mizuki would just try to create distance as soon as they realize they might be getting to close to the others (like with Ena). So it’d be up to the other 3 to try to gap the distance if they want to help Mizuki. I think eventually they’d get through to Mizuki, but it’d still be difficult and may take more time than with 25ji’s story events. Still, seems like an interesting group.
3rd group- YUME YUME JUMP!, Happy Synthesizer
I let out a laugh when I saw this group. LMAO Kanade, An, and the Hinomori sisters. But first, the song. I like it. Not much more to say about it honestly. I think the vocals for each person is solid and it sounds nice. I will admit it’s kinda hard to hear Kanade’s singing at times when she’s singing with someone else (like An who has a strong voice), but I also am beginning to wonder if maybe it’s the mixing of the song. Maybe turn down the instrumentals too so it’s easier to hear the singing. It’s a nice song though and I’d listen to it a lot.
So the group. Like I mentioned above, I think it’s hilarious. But I also think it’s a little heart-warming too. From what some of the characters say, it sounds like Shiho is just trying out being an idol, Shizuku is just happy she’s in a group with Shiho, An is having fun being an idol, and Kanade is just dying from the physical activity (lol). Honestly, no idea how this group would have formed. Shizuku probably still left her former idol group, I guess Shiho is either taking a break from her dream of going pro as a bassist(?), An didn’t mention RAD WEEKEND, and I think Kanade mentions how idols are shining. So maybe Shizuku is the one who helped form the group (either as a result of leaving her group or deciding to just go independent from the start) and Shiho decided to help try it out (she did mention she’d take it seriously though). No idea how An ended up here since she doesn’t go to school with any of these people. I’m assuming Kanade’s sad backstory still happened though since she mentions shining. Maybe Kanade decided being an idol is the best way to save others with her music. She just didn’t think about all the exercise she’d have to get (I’m also assuming that she is still doing online school). I think this is a nice group though. Shiho and Shizuku get to interact more. An seems to be having fun and is amazed at how much idols can/have to do. Though I guess she’s either given up on surpassing RAD WEEKEND or has decided to surpass it through being an idol. And I think Kanade might actually have some positive influences in her life for once. I’m not dissing 25ji, but you have to admit that Kanade is probably in a better head space having caring people like Shiho, Shizuku, and An interact with her constantly. An is pretty observant and I think she’d see that something is up with Kanade and try to bond with her. Shiho is also caring in a subtle way and would try to help Kanade through quieter, understanding means. And Shizuku is doting and would probably help make sure Kanade is actually taking care of herself (eating, sleeping, exercise, etc). Plus yeah, Kanade is getting legit exercise for once. I’m not sure if Kanade would tell the others about her past and current struggles, but I think after awhile they’d notice and encourage her to open up with them. I also find it funny how this is a group with contrasting father figures.  An has the stable, good father figure. Kanade has the tragic father figure (he’s probably still in the hospital). Shiho’s father influenced her to go pro. And with Shizuku, well maybe because their parents weren’t around a lot, Shizuku felt the need to dote on Shiho so much since she was the one who was constantly supporting Shiho when they were kids. We don’t see Shiho and Shizuku’s dad in the story events and the mom seems to work a lot. So yeah, I like the group and I like the group.
4th group- Aoharu/Friends, Aoku Kakero
The school band of Ichika, Saki, Ena, and Airi. Did not see that coming. So the song. Never heard of it before. Not much I can really say about it too honestly. I think it sounds fine and is composed well. Not really my cup of tea but I don’t really have much thoughts on it. Maybe, I’d have like to hear Airi and Ena singing more since we don’t really get that combo anywhere else. I think Ichika sings less in this song, but I think that’s ok since I feel like she often gets the spotlight for Leo/need songs. Saki sounds great too. It’s alright with me. I might not listen to it, but not because I think it’s bad, just that I’m not really into this type of music.
So the group. I guess Ichika and Saki’s stories start up similarly to the OG timeline, but here they don’t make up with Shiho and Honami I guess? Maybe they do eventually, but in the end, they’re not a band together. So I guess Saki recruited Airi and Ena to help fill the roles. But also, do Airi and Ena even know how to play instruments? I could see them learning to help out, but I also wonder about who plays what and how well they are at it. They seem to playing into the youth angle with this group for some reason. But yeah, Ichika and Saki don’t seem that different from their OG selves. Airi sounds really pumped to be in a band with Ena and Ena mentions how dazzling Ichika and Saki are. So first thing I noticed, maybe Airi never became an idol in this timeline. I zoomed in on the whole ‘band with Ena’ statement so I wonder if maybe because Airi never became an idol, she would have ended up closer to Ena and that’s how she managed to convince Ena to join a band. I also think Ena may still have her talent insecurities since she mentions how dazzling Ichika and Saki are. So maybe she is jealous of how talented Saki is with the keyboard/how social Saki is and jealous of Ichika’s singing and guitar playing/songwriting. They all keep mentioning youth but I’m not sure what to make of that. So yeah, I think Airi would notice Ena’s insecurities and try to help her with it. Ichika and Saki would also support Ena and her drawing too I think. They’d all be positive reinforcement and try to encourage her constantly. Ena would probably be pretty open about her problems honestly, especially compared to the rest of 25ji. So they’d be a cute group I guess. Not much more I can say.
5th group- Happiness Sentai Sunny Sunny, Positive☆Dance Time
Oh god why is the title and group name so long. So this one terrifies me a little. Mafuyu’s ‘Ikuyo’ at the start made me do a double take. But uh yeah. It’s a fun song, all the vocals sound on point, and I don’t have much to say. I can easily see all of them singing this EXCEPT MAFUYU. She sounds so happy here. Song segment, not much to say. Fun song, I’d listen to it if I see it in my recommendations.
THE GROUP. THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO GET TO. So I guess Emu made this group and is focused on trying to get Mafuyu (and visitors) to smile for real. I guess in this universe, Emu’s Flight or Fight instinct chose Fight over Flight. So Emu gets Kanade’s savior role, except Emu doesn’t have crippling depression. Ok jokes aside, while I do think it’s cute Emu wants to help Mafuyu, I’m not sure if Emu is gonna be a much better substitute than Kanade. For one, I think Mafuyu’s good girl persona is firmly planted on in this AU. Haruka and Kohane don’t seem to mention it so they might not even know. Haruka is called Stoic Challenger Haruka and feels like she has to live up to that (don’t really know what that nickname means). Maybe Haruka has to struggle with putting up a facade on stage, which may push some buttons for Mafuyu or cause Haruka to relate to Mafuyu more. But also, I guess Haruka either gave up being an idol and got over her trauma, or she never became an idol since she doesn’t seem to mention it. She has to be one stage for performances, so I guess she’s either over her past or it never happened. And Kohane makes sense for this group since she’s a Phoenix Wonderland super fan. It’s kinda easy to see how Emu would rope Haruka and Kohane in since she knows both of them. BUT MAFUYU. I have no idea how Emu convinced Mafuyu to join the troupe and how Mafuyu explains to her mom what she’s doing afterschool. I guess maybe Mafuyu has a closer friendship with Emu. Mafuyu mentions how Emu calls her the ‘impregnable, shiny senpai’ and while Mafuyu says she’s not sure if that’s good or bad, she does think that Emu is amazing. (not sure if that amazing is good or bad too either lol). So maybe she goes along with it bc why not. If Emu thinks she can make Mafuyu smile, might as well see if she can succeed right? I think eventually Emu lets it slip that she’s trying to get Mafuyu to smile for real to Haruka and Kohane and they decide to help her at some point. Though I’m not sure if they try to confront Mafuyu about it. I think that at some point, Mafuyu eventually relents and everyone doubles down on trying to help. Still, it’s gotta be unnerving for everyone to see Mafuyu’s blank expression vs the smiling, upbeat mask she probably has to wear for the stage. But that’s probably what makes Mafuyu so good on stage. I gotta say it, but with how caring and positive these 3 are, this might help Mafuyu. She has people in her life trying to help her and aren’t being antagonized by their own demons as well. Mafuyu might put up some resistance since I’m not sure if they’d understand what she’s going through, but that doesn’t negate that they want to help her. The closest to problems I could see for them outside of Mafuyu, Emu still has to worry about the Wonderstage closing and Kohane might have to struggle with her self-confidence since Haruka and Mafuyu are probably super talented on stage and Emu has the experience, while she’d be the rookie. Interesting group, kinda scares me bc of Mafuyu, but I think it’d be fun to see their story.
So those were my thoughts on the groups and their songs. I think I like them all overall and they provide an interesting look at an AU. I 100% understand why people might disagree with me, but these were just my opinions and not to be taken seriously. Wow I wrote a lot, but it’s been like a week so might as well come back with a bang. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks for reading.

I'm anxiously awaiting what April Fool's will bring to JP
What new AU will be explored? Will we have another unit shuffle? Will the VSs be the ones shuffled instead? Will they make new models just for this one thing (I doubt it but fuck will I be surprised if they do and it leads to more gender HCs)? Will the joke be everything is literally the same HOWEVER this minor thing changed and the punchline is you gotta find it, haha?

Mafukasa moments in Proseka (year 2023)
In the New Year event, Mafuyu pick fortune for herself and N25 Len while Tsukasa pick fortune slip for himself and WXS Rin. N25 Len and WXS Rin got great luck fortune while Mafuyu and Tsukasa got bad luck fortune.
Tsukasa's trained card on his WXS event has him pulling the puppets strings and controlling. It is somewhat resemblance to Mafuyu's trained card in her first N25 event but instead Mafuyu is the one that is controlled by the strings.
On April fools event, Mafuyu and Tsukasa are in the same class together, cautious heart class. It is stated that the students were placed in class that is according to their personality.

I can't be bothered to go back and find it, but I still think it'd be fucking hilarious for the next April Fools event to be us playing with the NPCs and seeing them as the temp. units.
I'll even give y'all what I would do with each group.
This a long one y'all, buckle in, some units have more info than others, just so ya know.
Leo/need - STANDOUT, leader Iori, other members: Mio, the rest of STANDOUT (do they have names?)
Sekai isn't a school, but rather a live house. Iori and her bandmates all have this desire to go pro, however, much like in the VBS main story line, their bassist, Mio, decides to quit and leave the band, and it hits Iori the hardest. They eventually reconcile, blah blah blah, STANDOUT is formed.
Their VS are Miku and Meiko. Miku's hair leans more blue than teal and has several streaks of black in it rather than having the underside be a hot pink, and is tied in low pigtails. Her outfit consists of a bomber jacket over what looks like a band t. In place of a skirt, she has ripped jeans, similar to that of the male street-parka outfit you can buy in Proseka.
Meiko dresses more like a manager. Very sharp, deep red, suit. She however, also wears crop tops with the same band graphics as Miku's. You don't see it often because she usually has her jacket buttoned all the way, and you only ever see it when she's playing along side Miku, rather than being her manager.
And for the fun of it, no real thought behind the why (for any of these so....): their Untitled Song becomes Unhappy Refrain
youtube
MORE MORE JUMP! - Blossoming ✿ Melodies, leader Mai, other members: Nanami, Yuina, and Ayaka.
Unlike in canon, Haruka, Airi, and Shizuku never go back to being idols. While she has apologized to Haruka, Mai realizes it's too little too late, and starts doubting her own worth as an Idol. She eventually meets Yuina, who shows her videos of a girl who wished to be an idol, but after being rejected so many times, went on to pursue dance. Yuina admired the girl for finding a new passion that wasn't far from what her original dream was. It gave her hope that, even if something didn't work out, it didn't mean that there wasn't anything out there for her to enjoy with her entire being. The two girls will later meet Nanami and Ayaka, and after some thought, Mai asks the girls to form an idol group with her. There's some hesitance, but they all agree to it eventually.
Their Sekai is similar to the Stage Sekai, but it's outdoors rather than inside a huge auditorium. There are several flowers all around that represent one thing: hope. Blossoming ✿ Melodies was created to spread hope not just for a better tomorrow, but for sparks to rekindle in the hearts of people, whether they follow their dreams, or find a new one entirely, in other words, they hope people who listen to them never give up on finding happiness.
Their VS are, much like MMJ, Miku and Rin.
Miku's hair is actually the soft pink of Sakura Miku. Because their Sekai is an outdoor stage with lots of flowers, the VS have floral inspiration. Miku's being cherry blossoms (sakuras). She's dressed in very soft pinks with deep teal as an accent to compliment her eyes. She has cherries and sakura flowers attached to her pigtails.
Rin is dressed in different shades of yellow. This is the only Sekai where rather than her short hair, we see her with longer hair by default. Her bow is much smaller, only visible from the back, and attached to it, in the center, is her flower: the daffodil.
Untitled Song: Upside Reverse Rainbow

Vivid BAD SQUAD: I don't have name for them tbh :/ anyways..... Leader: Arata, other members: Souma, Nagi, and Taiga.
While the desire to surpass RAD WEEKEND is still there, this groups true feelings is to recreate that event. They want people to come together once again and enjoy music.
If they surpass RAD WEEKEND, great. But they just want to be seen as an impactful and memorable event. They want people to show up and realize that they wanted to pursue music as well.
Taiga tries to get Ken to join him and Nagi once again, but Ken declines. They eventually meet Arata and Souma and after learning they wanted to surpass RAD WEEKEND, they agreed to help them.
Their Sekai, much like Blossoming ✿ Melodies, is similar to their original units (VBS) Sekai. It's a street Sekai, but rather than a cafe, they're close to several live houses, each one reflective of a VS that has yet to appear.
Their VS are Miku and Len. They're dressed very similarly to their OG Street Sekai looks, like in terms of style rather than clothing items:
Miku's pigtails are tied low on her head and she has a leather cap on her head. She wears sweats and an oversized cropped jacket over a simple tank top. She's very active and wants to put on a grand musical event. She's always running around and is filled with determination.
Len forgoes his puffed vest and wears a faded denim jacket over a graphic t. His jeans are covered in paint. He will sometimes add a streak of color to his bangs with temporary hair dye. He's more interested in art than music, so he's been helping Miku make posters and designing things she can wear. He still enjoys music, but finds making the art for said music more fun.
RAD WEEKEND eventually becomes something less and less spoken of and just hosting a music event becomes their priority.
Arata still wants to surpass it though and has often left when he's told he doesn't have to have every performance be done with the sole intention of surpassing an event.
He feels like the other three don't get it. That Taiga and Nagi forgot about how it impacted people. They were there. Surely they would see where he was coming from. They had to. But they didn't.
The group splits apart several times before they all realize they were being dumbasses about this.
Taiga even talks with Ken to get his opinion and is told to get a grip. He wanted to continue this, right? Continue making music events that brought people together and opened dreams? Ken knew An wanted to put on her own event one day with her maybe girlfriend (he hoped he was right about their relationship, An always mentioned Kohane Asuzawa when they spoke and it always sounded like they were more than friends). He knew that Akito Shinonome and Touya Aoyagi bonded over street music, Akito had told him himself that RAD WEEKEND made him realize music could be something he could pursue and how he hadn't felt passionate for something in so long until he saw RAD WEEKEND.
RAD WEEKEND wasn't meant to be seen as something to compete with. It was something that brought people together. In his eyes, as long as people came together, enjoyed themselves and found something about themselves, anyone could surpass RAD WEEKEND. But if they just wanted the fame and glory, it didn't how big of a crowd they got. It wouldn't have the same impact.
The group still has struggles and will often go to Ken for advice.
Miku and Len share similar opinions as Ken. They want an impactful and memorable event rather than a big event that will make them famous. What's the point in making an event if people don't remember it or only remember the size and aren't impacted by it (very much a "did this once, it was fun, let's move on" thing).
The first event they host is very small, almost no one shows up and the group feels frustrated. But outta the few people who do show up, a young, blonde, girl walks up to them with her friend, thanking them for letting her experience the event and letting her and her friend perform despite not having played in years. She didn't realize how long it's been since she played her keyboard. She didn't realize how much she missed it until they let her play. It was messy, short and rough, but she did it. She left with her friend, thanking them still as she left for reminding her of something she loved.
It was one person, but they did it. They made an impact. They helped someone find their passion for music again.
With that, they began to plan more events.
One day, they will surpass RAD WEEKEND, and if they don't, as long as they make an impact like they did for that one girl (Nagi tells them how she found out the girl and her friend began posting videos of them playing their instruments and singing alongside a boy that seems related to the blonde haired girl, a girl with pink hair, and sometimes a boy with two toned hair) than that's all that matters.
Untitled song: FREELY TOMORROW
youtube
Wonderlands x Showtime: Phoenix ReIncartion, leader Sakurako, other members: Hinata, Keisuke and Shousuke.
After numerous attempts at failing to get the park's number of visiters up, the three eldest Otori siblings agree with their father that the best thing to do was to remodel more. And while she fought and fought for it, their younger sister, Emu, wasn't able to save the Wonder Stage. They tried telling her it was for the best, but she wouldn't listen. They were tearing apart their grandfather's park, his dream, did they not care?! She left that night to stay with a friend (it's Tsukasa, if you're wondering). The three elder Otoris were unsure what to do. Hinata eventually spoke with Sakurako, wanting her judgement on the tearing down of the Wonder Stage since she A. works at PXL and B. is close to Emu's age. She agrees that it was old and that it would have gone down at some point. Why wait for the inevitable to happen? Of course, she doesn't tell Hinata her worries. With the park changing so much, how long will it be before they decide she isn't needed? She also doesn't want to be seen as immature for being upset with changes coming to the park, she's only about 17-18 after all.
Hinata decides that it's up to her, her brothers and Sakurako to bring more people to the park. She chooses the name Phoenix ReIncarnation for their group as a tie to both bringing back Phoenix Wonderland to it's former glory, and because phoenixes rise from the ashes, they're reborn, reincarnated if you will.
They all agree the park has to change, but Sakurako eventually does fess up and say she could understand where Emu was coming from. Changes to the park were fine, but the point of the park shouldn't change. The park was made to make people happy, to make them leave with a smile no matter how old they were. She understands why their sister is upset and why she refuses to talk to them. She understands that change is good for the park, but she also understands how it feels to not be heard, to have something that makes her happy be ripped away from her. It was less so the Wonder Stage being torn down and moreso being told after it was already set in stone to be demolished. Sure, Emu would still be upset, but she'd likely still be on speaking terms with her family if she didn't find out at the very last second. And by last second, I mean LAST second. She thought she had time. That she was being given a chance but she wasn't. That's why she's upset. She never got to prove she could bring the Wonder Stage back. She never got the chance to perform on it. By the time she found one person to help her, the stage was being torn down. So it's no surprise to Sakurako that Emu chose to stay with the one person who did listen to her and wanted to help, as opposed to her family who seemed to never hear her out. This confession leads to more conflict as Shousuke and Keisuke were still in the belief they did nothing wrong and that Emu needed to "grow up" eventually.
Their Sekai is the Theater Sekai. Unlike the Wonderland Sekai, which is filled with so much life, the Theater Sekai is very empty and has a loud echo to it. The chairs are always empty. Dust is everywhere. The posters are faded and torn. The curtains are stained.
Their VS are Miku and Luka.
Miku never has a consistent look, having her teal hair in different styles, and always dressing up different ways (think World is Mine Miku). She's very demanding and tells them that this is what they wanted, wasn't it. They got their glorious theatrical stage. They got a worthy star (Miku herself) to perform for them. What's wrong? This is what they wanted, right?
Luka is very cold and snippy with them. She, much like Meiko in the Live House Sekai, dresses in sharp suits. However, she's very strict with her dress code and with adjusting things without asking, which leads to her and Miku fighting a lot.
Phoenix ReIncarnation learns through them that family business can be messy and it can lead to many people getting hurt or becoming distant. The Theater Sekai was once full of people. People loved their shows. But eventually, Miku wanted more and more and more, to the point she was making so many demands the other VS left. Luka, being her older sister figure, stood by her but eventually she began making decisions without telling Miku, because she saw that their Theater was losing its once former glory. They learn that Miku is very much a mix of them, wanting the best and deciding to go forward with plans purely for business, but also a reflection of Emu, the younger sibling who wanted to prove she could save something she loved if given the chance. It was an odd combo and left them wondering if Emu would have turned out like her if she had gone with their plans so long as she got something in return, as opposed to wanting to save one single stage and eventually the rest of the park in opposition to them making any changes.
Luka was more like the Otori's father. She forgot what the theater represented, why she, Miku, and the rest of VS opened it. She only saw Miku's desire to do bigger, grander, things, and she decided to go with it. It led to them opening a bigger theater, to having lavish curtains and beautiful costumes, but it also led to fights. The Kagamines were the first to leave, neither of them happy with their ideas being ignored and not being listened to in general (also a reflection of Emu), KAITO left shortly after, just to keep an eye out on them. MEIKO was the last to leave, finally fed up with everything and that all the changed Miku and Luka were making would ruin the theater that had once been so full of life.
Phoenix ReIncarnation realize the Sekai was reflecting a very strong probability. The fall of Phoenix Wonderland. Changes were meant to be good, but they can also be bad. They wanted glory, they wanted more, but it was splitting the Otori family apart and less people kept showing up despite having popular characters and shiny new rides.
They struggle convincing Mr. Otori to cut back on some major changes and to rather fix old attractions that were popular before they broke down.
They do promotions outside the park. Sakurako does snippets of her own shows. But it never felt like enough.
And out of pure desperation, Sakurako looks for Emu, and finds her walking side by side with a boy with blond hair that had peach colored tips. She asked to talk and Emu refused to at first, so when her friend said they should sit down somewhere more private, Sakurako thanked the gods.
Once they were seated in a café, she began to talk. She asked them to listen. And she told them everything she could. She left out the Sekai and VS, she didn't want to sound weird to them, and asked Emu if she was willing to help.
Phoenix Wonderland was losing more and more visitors with every passing day. And damn it, Sakurako missed it. She missed the old rides. She missed the genuine smile the park once brought to her face. She didn't want to be a part of this dying park, but she also didn't want to give up on her dreams.
And with some encouragement from the boy next to her, Emu agreed to help her on one condition. Her friend, her performing partner, got a say in things. And thus, Emu Otori and Tsukasa Tenma begin doing small shows to promote PXL.
It takes a long time, but eventually the park begins to go back to what it once was. There aren't as many visits as before, but there's enough for Phoenix ReIncarnation to feel assured that everything they were doing would bring the park back to life completely one day.
Hinata, Shousuke, and Keisuke eventually show up at the Tenma residence, after learning from Sakurako that that's where Emu was staying, in hopes of talking with their sister.
And when they're let in by the boy they denied employment to, they sit down and finally decide to listen. Hinata told her brothers that they were going to hear what Emu had to say first. That the three of them would keep their mouths shut for once and listen to their baby sister. And they did.
They listened to every word, all filled with anger, sadness, hurt and disappointment. They listened to her cry over the loss of the Wonder Stage, over feeling like she was lied to when she was told she was given a chance to save it just to find out they were tearing it down anyways shortly after she met Tsukasa and got him to agree to help her. How she felt like she couldn't trust them anymore and if they would continue to lie to her. They listened as she just cried and cried and eventually were gently kicked out by Tsukasa who had all but welcomed their sister into his family by now. He wished then luck and shut the door in their faces.
It wasn't until they begged Tsukasa to bring Emu to the park that the siblings began to reconcile. Because in place of a new attraction, they convinced their father to rebuild the Wonder Stage. Bigger, better and safer to use, and in honor of the man who created the park in the first place. It was still being rebuilt when they showed Emu, but it was made with the promise of being hers, if she wanted it. And that was the first time in months that she smiled at them with joy.
She didn't accept it, not yet, not when she still felt hurt. But maybe one day. Just maybe one day.

Nightcord @ 25:00 - The Night • Watchers, leader Shinei, other members: Harumichi, Mrs. Asahina and Kounosuke Otori.
AKA, Shitty Parents™.
They all got together to discuss their children, how they had certain expectations for them or wanted to care for them but were met with malice and rebellion.
They think they're in the right.
Shinei and Harumichi don't get along that much though. Harumichi blames Akito for Touya's rebellious attitude, while Shinei blames Touya for influencing his son to continue street music when he could have focused on something else. His son would get nowhere in music, but he kept pushing forward because of Harumichi's son.
Konouseke barely talks to any of them, because he's too focused on his park.
Mrs. Asahina decide she want to help the two men that are fighting, seeing how her daughter is so well behaved.
Eventually they all begin calling each other to talk about what their kids did. They complained, spoke of the past, etc.
At one point, Mrs. Asahina had to ask what Shinei and Harumichi did when their kids ran away.
Kounosuke also asks when Emu runs away.
Shinei just waited until Akito and/or Ena came back and they just fought again.
Harumichi used to go to the Tenma residence to bring Touya back home, because that's where he always went, but stopped when the eldest Tenma child chased him out with a frying pan and with a threat of calling the police on him (and surprise surprise, the neighbors heard and one was an elderly woman who threatened him with her rolling pin, because how dare he bother the Tenmas? Especially since Tsukasa was chasing him out of his home, Harumichi must be bad news if such a polite young man like Tsukasa doesn't want him arround, go back home Tsukasa, we know you've been helping a friend out, you don't need more stress. See? That's a polite gentleman, not like you, someone who enters someone's home and has to be chased out >:/). Now he waits for Touya to come home whenever he runs off. Surprisingly he's been returning with glitter stickers on his face (Emu's doing btw, Saki usually does his nails) but he's been staying away longer and longer every time he runs away.
Essentially, they weren't of any help.
Mrs. Asahina are worried because Mafuyu is usually so well behaved. She didn't even know she had friends that close to her nor did she know where any of them lived. She didn't know what happened to her perfect, well behaved, daughter.
Kounosuke is moreso annoyed than worried, because, much like his sons, he believes Emu is being childish and just doesn't understand that's he's doing what's best for the park (he's also annoyed at his eldest three and Sakurako because they began to talk him out of things when they should just trust he has the best intention at heart).
Their Sekai is the Manor Sekai. A large mansion in a place that's almost always night time. It's very quiet, much like the Theater Sekai. But unlike the Theater Sekai, which slowly begins to go back to it's glory after Phoenix Reincarnation decided to change how they approached changes to the park and how to save it, it's always eerily quiet and dusty. It's not even like the Empty Sekai, which while empty, has this peace to it.
Their VS are Miku and KAITO.
Miku is dressed in a nightgown. Her hair is loose and she is always hiding from the adults. She's quiet and prefers being alone. The only person she talks to is KAITO (and the other VS when they finally show up).
KAITO is the butler of the manor. He's dressed in a crisp suit with a black tie and a towel in hand. He's very polite and always has this strained smile on his face when any of the four adults visit. He's Miku's caretaker and he didn't like the stress the four brought to her, so he oftened kicked them out and told them to explore the gardens and to leave his charge alone.
Miku: *hiding behind KAITO* KAITO, they scare me :(
KAITO: *to the Shitty Parents™* Get the fuck out you're scaring my kid :)
This is probably the one Unit that doesn't change their ways or rekindle a relationship. They're very much stuck in their ways and refuse to see they're in the wrong. The only one who does slightly is Kounosuke and he's barely changing. He's really only doing it so PXL doesn't close down for good, not because he wants to.
