Todd: I don't hate women. I mean, sure, you're all whores who sell yourselves for money or prestige, but men are just as bad. Maybe even worse. They're willing to throw away careers or families or even lives for what's under your skirt.
Jen: I'm wearing pants.
Todd: So you can dress like a man? Talk like a man? Does that make you feel superior?
Jen: Actually, I'm feeling superior because I have a giant green fist pointed at your head.

Not too many spoilers here, but…
I’ve seen a lot of people on this website complaining in various ways about how Stranger Things 4 ended. And even as I acknowledge that there were some things Volume 2 could have done better…
Season 4 really reinvigorated the show in a way it hadn’t since the first season. There are plenty of shows that fail their series finales (GOT being one), but don’t forget, this was a season finale. Also…
The gap between volumes helped get people psyched for what was going to happen, and have them formulating their own theories. What’s probably happening with people being angry at the finale is that most people don’t like that the ending didn’t go the way they wanted it to go. Endings make people angry because they’ll never fully live up to expectations in the form of predictions, which too often is colored by hopes and demands, and people didn’t like that they didn’t get what they wanted.
Here’s something to keep in mind: 4 is the beginning of the end, which 5 will be. So, wait to see what comes next…which I have renewed faith will be awesome, even if no season will be as good as the first.

Duke Vincentio (in disguise as a friar): A buddy of mine saw Duke Vincentio take his shirt off when he was bathing and he said that Duke Vincentio had an eight-pack. That Duke Vincentio was shredded.
Claudio: What? Your friend’s a liar, man! Duke Vincentio is a punk bitch!

Someone (Don’t remember who) actually wrote a fic on AO3 about that - in which Matt points out in response that he never actually SAW what the Dread Pirate Roberts looked like.
That is the most beautiful thing.

Okay, so it’s only been two episodes and I need to talk about my thoughts on Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
First off...Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie work so well together; Civil War hinted at it, and this show confirmed it. Their chemistry could power a house for a year, it’s good. (sadly because of fandom racism not nearly as many people will be making slash fics as they should)
Second...At the end of the first episode, I hated John Walker without him not even saying anything. I still don’t like him - agree with all those “bargain bin” memes - but I have to say, I think the show is doing the right thing by making him too obviously villainous up front. If he transitions into a villain, he will, but for now he’s a guy who doesn’t realize/reel in his douchey side.
Third...that scene with Isaiah killed me, for real. Even if some details have obviously been tweaked, the same sentiment from his origin comics are there, and it’s so painful: the government used him for his body on multiple levels, and never really cared about him, locked him up to exploit him even, when he was trying to be a hero. After that, you can’t blame Sam for being skeptical (at the very least) about being Captain America.
Fourth...yeah, it was only for a few minutes, not even named, but ELI BRADLEY! As far as I’m concerned, the character really hasn’t gotten what he deserves, and I’d love to see more of that (hoping we haven’t gotten the last of Eli and Isaiah in the show). But if he’s really going to be in the Young Avengers...well, I’m just worried that too many teammates spoil the soup, and there’s no obvious grounds for Hulkling yet (aside from Secret Invasion/Captain Marvel 2). It wouldn’t be the Young Avengers without Teddy, so I’m hoping they know that too.
But I love this Winter Soldier-esque show!

I really hate the way fandoms twist things to fit what they want to headcanon when the text pretty much explicitly contradicts the ideas…

Okay, my thoughts on Episodes 3-4 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier:
1. 3rd was pretty good, but I think 4 is my favorite to date
2. I love having Daniel Brühl back; as someone who took a lot of German, I’ve seen him in a multiple movies besides Civil War, and he’s so great.
3. I’m not sure whether he’ll be back in the last two episodes after his daring flight (or tunneling), but I think that there’s a pretty good chance that Marvel wants to do a Thunderbolts movie or show, and of course he’d be around for that one. It would make such a great (friendly) “ha-ha” to DC: “See? We’re doing a production where the heroes are villains, except this one is good!”
4. A lot of other people have made comments regarding the Flag Smasher stuff as being U.S. savior-type propaganda, and they’re not really wrong. But that makes the focus able to turn onto America’s internal politics, which is much more interesting and better done.
5. I didn’t like John Walker before That Smashing, and I really don’t now. Damn symbolic moment for cop brutality.
6. Hypothesis: it’ll turn out this mysterious Power Broker has one vial of serum left,, and by that point Walker’s gone so rabid that it’ll be a lot more tempting to take it then for the supposed “sake of the mission.” It’ll be up to Sam to stay strong then and refuse, taking the guy down (solo) with being merely human.
