Alright so some of you may know that I used to do Eurovision song reviews until about midway through last selection season when it became clear that the EBU would not disqualify Israel under any circumstances. The fact that there is now a ceasefire does not mean I forgive the EBU for how it handled the situation. I will continue to boycott Eurovision proper.

That said, back in December, the Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO officially called for Israel's exclusion going forward, and I think that merits some excitement. The 12 songs for their national selection, EMA, were released yesterday, so I will give those the kinds of reviews I used to save for selected artists. If you follow me and don't want to see all of these posts in a row, go ahead and block the tag EMA reaction.

This is an extremely mellow rock song. Without checking lyrics, there doesn't seem to be much of anything remarkable about it, to be entirely honest. It isn't bad, it just isn't very interesting. Translating doesn't help overly much as it seems to be a song asking "you" to sleep with him. It's not even particularly creative in how it goes about asking. It sounds more like an album track than something meant to be sung for a competition. I doubt staging can elevate it, but maybe he'll come up with something.
