Molly: why would I fuck a demon? Simple; the status. Imagine rolling into hell already having your back blown out by one of their own. Imagine you and a gang of other losers standing at the gates of hell, they’re all crying, scared to death about having a pitchfork up their ass for all eternity and you just walk into the arms of your sugar demon? 2026 at the earliest we can do it y'all!
In the meantime may I offer one of the most underrated period dramas of ever to me. I sometimes critique period dramas for putting narrative over historical fact but this one does not lie unless one counts omitting something because it is obvious in the context of the narrative this in one is more or less true but condescended timeline. Also, its primary longrunning theme is about doing the right thing cause it is the right thing (which should be a good enough reason), so feels relevant again unfortunately.

a tale of two (concert) halves... (storytime!)
I've made it clear over the past few updates that my real life struggles have really backed us into a corner. If the first half of 2024 was on hard difficulty, the second half has so far been on brutal. Personal relationships are falling apart, our physical health has been going through hell, and our finances are struggling to keep up with ever increasing debts. As much as I am a man of faith, I do struggle with maintaining such devout trust on the daily, because I am afraid of the worst.
But even during these tough times, it's comforting to know I won't be left for dead, and I can still find enjoyment in them.
Not gonna lie, I thought I would never attend a concert this year. IVE was coming back after a little over a year, but I didn't have money for it (and is something I still struggle to move on from). ITZY was coming back less than eight months when I saw them, but no Lia, and the ticket selling was insanely early (fuck you Live Nation). The only other girl group I think came here was fromis_9, which I still would love to see, but that was for a festival, so the setlist was extremely limited—and it was during finals week, so that was not gonna happen. There's just been an overall downturn of concerts compared to last year, so whether or not this is a good thing, you decide. (Seriously, no aespa, no (G)I-DLE, no NMIXX, etc.)
However—here comes Red Velvet, one of the holy trinity of 3rd gen girl groups (TwicePinkVelvet), celebrating their 10th anniversary with an Asia tour. By some miracle, I got a stimulus check two months ahead of my birthday, and yet it was still a hard decision, because I wasn't sure if other girl groups would also tour near the end of the year. Looking at what's to come for the last quarter of the year, I highly doubt it and 2025 is sure to be stacked, so it all paid off in retrospect.
It was a completely different experience than the first two outings. For one, it was fucking standing floor over seated, so I knew my body would be put through the torture rack. Second was the unpredictability of where I would end up—thankfully it wasn't first come first serve where I would be forced to camp early (which by the way, concert campers are disgusting and should be arrested). Still, my positioning would depend on my queuing number (which in itself was dependent on when you would buy your ticket, and obviously unless you got into the site as soon as it loaded up, the earlier), and while it wasn't completely shit—it still meant that a majority would get their preferred spot over mines.
Cut to the actual concert day and it was a tale of two halves. The first was the pre-concert, which wasn't all bad at the start—but then there was the queuing before entering the venue. I could have easily waited and taken my sweet time exploring and doing other shit, but I was pressured to queue early out of fear of not getting a good spot. I forgot that since it was queuing numbers, they would rearrange the line anyway, so I never really had a chance lmao. I really shot myself in the foot quite literally by adding an extra two hours standing around.
Everyone in VIP was given a bonus member card, and I didn't end up getting my bias. I tried bartering with other fans, but I absolutely failed. To add insult to injury, everyone else were able to trade and/or get theirs, so that fucking sucks.
It was also the first time I was forced to wear some kind of noise control for my ears. Didn't really have earplugs but Airpods were certainly a nice alternative. Fucking hell—this was the loudest of the three crowds I've ever been a part of, and it doesn't help that the audience would screech and shout out of tune. It was so goddamn annoying. Then you get to the ments/speeches, and they would just fucking bark and make monkey noises while the members were talking, and after performances. I counted a total of 12-14 times this happened throughout, and it never got any better. If the members weren't encouraging the audience, I'd probably have socked someone in the nose out of annoyance at some point.
As for the overall concert itself, I had a blast! I'm not that familiar with Red Velvet's colorful discography, but they performed most of their hits and title tracks (ripperoni Russian Roulette and Chill Kill). Not only that, but the set ran for almost 3 hours (2 hours 50 minutes as they did start like 10 minutes past schedule), and the energy persisted all throughout. Wendy was constantly flaunting her vocals, but Joy. Joy was absolutely fucking insane. Also, the fucking Zimzalabim encore is something everyone needs to experience once in their lifetime.
I wish I could say the pain was all worth it—but of course, life being life, it decides to fuck with me one more fucking time with the middle finger. After the show ended, we were all told to stay in our spots for the send-off event as everyone else were escorted out and the raffle winners from lower seating tiers were pulled in. We waited for 40 minutes, and then the members come out. It should be a cool moment! Except they were led by staff straight to the extended stage for a bit and then they'd get off, completely neglecting the sides, where me and a few others were. They would eventually go around the venue, but by the time we realized what has happening, it was too late—we never got to see them up close properly.
I'll be honest, while I don't feel as bothered thinking about it a few days on, when it happened, it almost ruined the entire experience for me. The organizers/staff had misdirected us and didn't organize properly, so some of us got a lesser experience than those who won the raffle, which is worse for us since we paid more. The send-off treatment here was way—way worse than in Bangkok and Jakarta, and it fucking pisses me off. We can't have shit in this country. I don't blame the girls for it; they were just following instructions and they had a flight to catch shortly after (not to mention they were tired as fuck). Still, the fact I paid so much for that underwhelming send-off experience just reinforces my opinion that hi-touches are simply better. At least everyone gets a fair shot, even if it was very brief. You can't win them all, I guess. I also do believe that it was bound to happen, the first two experiences were near-perfect and flawless in execution, so something had to give to bring me back down to earth.
Nevertheless, even if for just a few hours, it's nice to find some comfort and enjoyment despite the world around me crumbling down. To think that they're 10 years on and still as active as their younger contemporaries in K-pop is astounding. I can see why they're among the most beloved girl groups ever; there's only a handful with equal the talent and discography to match. This was also my first outing with a new camera, and when it was hitting, the shots were fucking hitting.
I really wish Bamboleo was part of the set tho.

Idol Time’s First Episode featuring Venus’ Chloe Lee (@venusvity), aired on February 17th, 2024 with the shows host, Everlast’s Cody. The video gained 10M views in the first 3 hours and 25M views overall, earning it a #1 trending spot.
The Idol Time studio lights up as the video begins and a smiling Cody walks in, sitting down on a conveniently placed chair. He holds a set of queue cards in one hand, his other hand playing around with the microphone that sits in front of his face.
The setting is somewhat simple, two plain-coloured chairs opposite to each other, with a few lights strung above the seats and a glowing sign with ‘Idol Time’ scrawled over it, in a space-themed font.
Cody waits a couple of beats before saying the opening line, with the most enthusiasm he could possibly muster, “Welcome to Idol Time, the only interview show you need to worry about and the best interview show you’ve ever seen. Obviously, hosted by the Shin Junseo. Or Cody, whatever works!”
“Here we are. Episode one of Idol Time and honestly, I can’t believe I’ve gotten far enough to have my own show.” He laughs in mock sadness, wiping away faux tears. “But anyways! I'd like to introduce the first guest of the show, my favourite member of Venus and a very familiar face, Chloe Lee!” Chloe, right on cue and clearly rehearsed, walks into frame and sits down in the velvet blue chair placed next to Cody’s. “Hiii everyone! So nice to be here!” Chloe says cooly into the mic, waving to the camera with an excited but nervous smile.
“So? What are your thoughts so far?” Cody questions, clearly overjoyed by her presence. She nods slightly in response. "I'm very excited to be here, actually! Super excited to tell everyone about the album and everything in between.” She's not really excited to do either of those things but Chloe manages to pretend she is.
“Great! I was a little nervous having someone as famous as you on here, but I’m glad we’ve started off well.” Chloe chuckles quietly at Cody’s response, covering her mouth with her hand, politely. Smoothly, Cody introduces the next question. “You’ve been working hard recently, I’m sure everyone’s seen your face around a lot. Starzie especially, has been a big hit in the past few weeks, how was your debut?” His lips twitch to form a tight smile as he grips onto the queue cards, the mention of Starzie bringing back a few somber memories.
“Oh Starzie is...So much fun! Um, it's a lot to be promoting at the same time as Venus but it's fun. It was totally worth all that stress,” Chloe answers with a laugh, running her hand through her hair with a nod.
“I like working with everyone but Finn. He's a bit unpredictable," Chloe jokes with a playful smile before shrugging, “I was super excited to work with Doah and Poppy. Those two are so cool, especially Poppy. I really look up to her since she's the most experienced out of all of us. It's been super cool working with everyone and collaborating like that.”
Cody hums, nodding along to her words. “And I thought Finn was the most responsible member.” He responds to her joke, nudging Chloe’s shoulder. He tilts his head, preparing for the next question. “So I listened to the album and then again last week to refresh my memory and I absolutely loved it. Back 2 U and Beautiful Liar were my favourites but, we’re here to talk about you. Did you initially like the album and can we expect a comeback anytime soon?”
Chloe opens her mouth when asked about liking Starzie's debut before she inhales sharply, making an unsure face with a tilt of her head. Chloe laughs with a shrug, leaning back in her chair. “I mean! It's not what I'm used to! It's very loud! But I think we killed it. I liked working with the Starz especially on the B-sides. I think the B-sides are really where the album shines.” Cody silently agrees. He shifts in his chair before replying, “I like that about the album, though, It shows that a title track doesn’t need to carry the whole album to be a good listen, you know?” Chloe’s smile brightens with each word. “Exactly! You get it.”
Chloe continues, “I hope there’ll be a comeback soon! I hope we get a full album next time. Because, you know, promoting with those guys is super fun, I really enjoy it especially the girls--Oh, I love the girls. We're the show, really,” Chloe rambles, talking with her hands flippintly as she does so. “When we're backstage together, I always forget I'm not with Venus--It's such a weird feeling. Like, I'll look to my left to tell Bliss good luck and she's literally not there. It's Oliver. It's crazy. I love it! Just crazy, you know?”
“I know, we all get so used to a routine so when it changes it’s so weird.” He pauses, “You’re lucky, I bet it’s a nice change. I get so tired of promoting with my group every comeback. Love those guys though, don’t get me wrong.” He says, lightheartedly.
“Next question! We were on the same survival show, I killed it, You killed it, but I think we should be truthful about our experiences.” Cody starts, “Personally, I had a lot of fun, it was great and all, but there were some tough times. So I wanna know how you viewed it? Were things the same on and off camera?”
Chloe clicks her tongue as she looks up in thought, humming with an unsure expression.
"I wouldn't do it again. 'Wasn't my favorite experience," Chloe admits with a subtle shrug,
"You were there! You saw how stressful it was! Sorry 'bout that," Chloe laughs anxiously, giving a sheepish smile. "Yeah, I don't really...Like survival shows really put me in a bad headspace and I think that was really clear on the show. Like...l just wasn't doing well on that show. I wish I behaved differently...Sorry you had to experience that, Cody." She teases, reaching out and playfully putting her hand on his with a laugh.
Cody laughs along with her, shaking his head slowly. “It’s fine, Chloe. If I had to apologise for all the times I’d cussed out people in my life, I would be old and withering by the time I was done.” He stares at the camera awkwardly and the clip cuts to the next.
Cody clears his throat before continuing, eyes glued to his lap. “Do you—think anyone could’ve been rigged into Starzie?” Chloe pauses, looking down with a quirk of her lips.
“Um...l don't think so. No offense,” Chloe teases Cody again with a chuckle, trying not to look bored of the Starzie questions. He rolls his eyes in response, smiling sweetly straight after. “I thought there would be more boys, honestly. There's only two in the group and that was just barely...Maybe one of them was rigged in,” She speculates with a chuckle, “Finn was probably rigged in. I'm shocked SM didn't rig that Aespa girl in. I heard they tried but it didn't work out.” Chloe shrugs.
“I don't feel like being in a group called Starzie is that serious for rigging, you know?”
“Well, you heard it here first, everyone! Starzie is not a repeat of any of the Produce shows.” He voices, sending a jab their way. “Now, onto more pressing matters than a tortuous survival show, Venus! I also happened to love Venus Victrix, how were promotions?”
Chloe perks up at the mention of Venus, glad Cody’s moved on to a different topic. She sits up straighter and crosses her legs.
“They've been great! I love Venus!" Chloe laughs, smiling brightly. "It's been, you know, stressful with all the overlapping promotions but I'm coping! I'm growing...Everyday is a new adventure and I love that.”
“Any songs you disliked?” Cody entreats, his voice increasing in pitch as he asks. “Disliked? Um...l mean...7Seconds is kind of boring. It's not my favorite. Sorry to Noah. I know he liked that song but it just bores me. The rest of the album is flawless though. I'm really pleased with it.”
Cody blinks at the camera a couple of times before relaxing his face, a serious expression covering his usually bright smile. He quickly looks down and returns to the script “You’ve been talking about how stressed and overworked you are, I know it’s a sensitive topic. Is there anything you’d like to share with viewers?”
Chloe deflates slightly with sigh, nodding in defeat. She looks up, inhaling sharply though her teeth as she starts to pull out her acting skills.
“I've always had, um, struggles with my mental health. When you've been an idol for as long as I have—l've literally been doing this for eight years,” Chloe emphasizes how long she's been working, looking back at Cody with a forced smile. “You go through lows and I...l'm in a low. It's just...It's been really hard juggling everything—“ Chloe makes herself get chokes up, voice breaking pathetically making her look away and dab the inner corners of her teary eyes, sniffling.
“And it's so strange because I should be really happy! Venus is doing amazing, Starzie is doing well, everything I do is great, but I just wake up and feel like I'm stuck and I hate it.”
It's so—“ Chloe struggles to think of a word, taking a deep breath through her nose before deflating with a defeated shrug. “I don't know.” She sighs, silently looking away.
“I was diagnosed with, um, PTSD recently so l think, maybe, that has something to do with it? But, yeah, it hasn't been easy lately.”
Cody looks at Chloe, giving her a sort of sad-sympathetic smile. Chloe doesn’t pay this any mind and simply signals for him to continue, which he does. “Thank you, Chloe. I hope things get easier for you, don’t feel like you have to be happy because everyone and everything around you is.” He replies, earnestly. “Now, fans have been asking and would love to know, What’s your Ideal type?”
Chloe blinks at the question, no matter how hard she tries she looks agitated at the question. She pushes out air through her nose in lieu of a laugh.
“My ideal type is someone who works hard, is tall, strong, and will protect me,” Chloe lists, bouncing her leg anxiously as she thinks over the fan question. She can't stop herself from smiling because she knows where this is going. Cody hums again in response and decides then to attempt to cut to the point of all these previous questions. “So, would you date a fan?”
Chloe shrugs and replies simply. “I mean, fans are just people. Why not?” Cody’s not sure he can agree with that one, but he pretends like he can anyways. He takes a slow breath before proceeding to read off of his script once more, “There’s been some rumours floating around, and I wanted to be the first to ask you about them. Anything about you and a popular fansite you’d like to tell us about?”
Chloe chuckles when he says "popular" quickly going back to a neutral face. She looks at the camera then back at Cody, shaking her head.
“It's been a really hard few months. So, I wasn't making the most wise of decisions but I mean,” Chloe throws her hands out before dropping them on her thighs, “He's a grown man. I'm a grown woman. I don't see the drama in this? Everyone just overreacts at the smallest of things. We went on a date,” Chloe confesses to the camera despite the distressed look on her manager's face from behind the camera. “Like a singular date. Sue me. I think a man my age is cute and want to have a drink with him.” Chloe dismisses with a sigh, leaning back in her chair. “Every idol is dating someone. Get over it.”
Cody snorts. “Little overprotective to be just one date.” Chloe sends him a quick and discreet glare that makes Cody immediately quiet down. “No, you’re right.” The clip comically cuts there and begins to play the final segment.
“To wrap everything up, Is there anything else you’d like to say to the viewers?” He asks, “Or maybe some future plans you want fans to know about?”
“Yeah!” Chloe forms a heart with her hands, beaming at the camera. "Dulce, I love you!” She laughs, blowing a kiss towards the screen.
“Oh! After Venus Victrix wraps up...l'm going to be releasing my first solo album!" Chloe announces with an excited smile, giving a thumbs up to the camera. “There will be a lot of Venus solos so keep an eye out! We're all very excited to share them with you guys!”
Cody cheers eagerly at the news and pumps his fist in the air for exaggeration. “A win for me.”
Chloe laughs at Cody’s gesture and now gives finger hearts, smiling sweetly to the camera with a tilt of her head to look cute.
“Thank you so much for having me! I love talking so thank you for listening! I'll see you all soon!” She blows a kiss to the camera one last time before waving.
“Thank you for watching and supporting Idol Time, See you next time!” Cody finishes, giving the final words of the Episode to Chloe.
“Stream Venus Victrix, Cush by Starzie, and follow me on Instagram at ChloeLee! Thank you! Bye byeee~”

(6 Cut Creepy Mutants from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.☢️👹) Part 2 "Tark"
This creature is a horse. Or rather. There is no tail. The hind limbs atrophied in favor of highly developed forelimthy. A huge monster at its highest point rises by 8-10 feet. The neck, once proudly elevated the head of the animal, turned into a single dorsal muscle.
The biochemical structure of the body is not capable of regeneration of damaged tissues and broken bones. The skin of the monster is devoured in many places, often exposing the bare muscles and protruding bones. There are no lips, as a result of which you can see hemp of rotten and swinging teeth, through which white foam constantly confuses.
Absolutely unpredictable and very aggressive. Constantly migrates in a flock of five individuals. In the packs, there are sometimes “kids”. However, their herd is just a relic of some times friendly behavior, a collective memory that no monster remembers. As a result, even in relation to each other, these creatures are very aggressive.
You can often observe how the mother cripples or kills her own cubes within a few minutes after giving birth. It is known that they even devour their relatives - obviously, their taste preferences are sharply radical towards carnivores. Monsters usually move around at night.
They feed on in groups of everything that comes across them during a meal. Their madness blocks any manifestation of fear. They have no purpose or intention. They just exist and go crazy. They do not interact with other species.
This mutant is hard to find. Very dangerous, as it can quickly run indefinite time for the player to quickly kill him. Alive, can withstand a machine gun queue from PKM.

Two Blank Faces: Part 2.
This is rather out of the way, isn't it?
Based on my calculations, this is the most effective way to avoid anyone else interrupting our conversation...And also the most effective environment should this escalate into a fight.
Yes...I calculate the same thing..,
Ok you intellectuals, let's just get to the point already.
*Matta leads Izuru and Chiaki through a passageway outside of the factory. They keep walking until they finally come into a quiet clearing in the forest, with all the fighting heard far off in the distance. Once they come into an open, quiet clearing, he stops and turns around.
I want you to be honest with me...Do you have any idea why it is I've called you out here?
Actually...I don't.
You don't? But...can't you just predict things with your fortune teller or analysis talent?
It's true. I have superhuman analytical abilities and intuition thanks to my powers, which enable me to make startlingly accurate predictions with remarkable speed. I can also judge a person just from a glance.
However, this situation is different. There are no visible queues or ticks on this gentleman, and the mask certainly doesn't help. And there's something about his aura...
Like he exists to be unpredictable...unreadable...Like a...paradox...
Paradox? I-I don't get it...But if you can't see what he's going to do, isn't that bad?
Not particularly...The unknown excites me.
Ah yes...Ultimate Hope...The power to do anything and everything you put your mind to with ease...What a sickening power that is...
And how sickening it is to see you have fallen...Driven down by everything around you being so obsolete and boring...Your life would have been so much better
I would argue that I'm living quite comfortably right now.
...But for how long?
What?
You have no motivation...So how long will it be before you eventually get bored of the life you're living, and move on. Before you fall back into that old pattern?
I'd give it a few years...personally speaking...Well, maybe NOT so personally...
...I'm not sure I really get what you're talking about.
Yeah, me neither.
What I'm about to say won't be pleasant for you to hear.
Back when you first became...this...It must have been absolutely thrilling to wake up to that kind of power...But quickly you discovered that it wasn't all it was cut out to be.
Instead of a blessing of power, it was more like a curse. Even if you accomplished everything you set your mind to, you would still be unhappy with life BECAUSE everything would go exactly as planned for you. You had no sense of satisfaction or pride because you didn't need to think...
And then...Junko Enoshima came along.
She may have initially tried to kill you because of your reputation as the Ultimate Hope, but her real goal was to attack you because she knew she couldn't prevail and wanted to demonstrate how erratic Despair can be. How...unpredictable it was, even for both of your ever-powerful analytical prowess.
And like a rat with cheese on a mousetrap, you fell for it...
...
In the end, she persuaded you that a world of hope was boring and a world of despair was too unpredictable for even an Ultimate Analyst, which made life much more exciting. She did this by forcing the Hope's Peak student council to kill one another and by framing you to demonstrate what despair looked like.
Partners in crime...That's what you were in the end...and the world suffered for it.

My beloved coinflip team! I love all of them, from certified class clowns Pyosik and BeryL to chill veterans Deft and Bdd to rookie PerfecT who's honestly just along for the ride. Their games are so fun, and their team energy is exactly the same as five random guys who queue up together on weekends (the jokes, the "ohh!"s, how supportive they all are). To top it all off, their gameplay is so unpredictable that you never know what to expect from them, regardless of whether they're playing the top ranked team or the 10th place one, making them all the more entertaining to watch. There's only one guarantee in a KT match, and that's that you're in for a show. I'm incredibly e-word to see how they play out the rest of this season, and I am very much rooting for them to make Worlds come autumn (especially knowing what DRX pulled in 2022 with three of these same players).
2. T1
Given my username, this is no shocker - in fact it's a bit surprising that T1 isn't in the top spot - but I am so hype for the third
consecutive year of this T1 starting line-up. Faker has been playing phenomenally this split, and when accompanied by the legendary Mat-and-Pat Oner-Zeus on the top side of the map, supported by the best bot duo in the world, Gumayusi-Keria, I can't wait to see how far these reigning World champions will go in tournaments this year. Watching them thrive always feels so satisfying. Although part of me doubts it, I'm hoping that if they play well enough this year, there's a chance that we might even get the same roster yet again in 2025 (and then honestly just send all of T1 to Asia Games in 2026?), but I'm getting too ahead of myself - for now I just hope they all play well this year. T1, fighting!
3. Tie Between GenG and DK
Canyon and ShowMaker divorced and split custody of this ranking, what can I say. I have always loved watching ex-Damwon, now D Plus Kia, although in recent years it has very much felt like the Canyon-and-ShowMaker-show. Now that Canyon is on GenG, DK has become simply "ShowMaker and his posse", although it has been working fairly well for them. I am a big fan of Lucid and have loved watching all his highs and lows this split - he has my vote for rookie of the year to be sure. Then, ofc, there's the villains of every T1 fanstory: the Church of Chovy. His plays are so clean that I can't help but be a fan of him, though. Then, of course, there's the legendary Lehends my beloved. Truly the Holy Ghost of supports, to BeryL's Father and Keria's Son. I'm glad that he and Peyz have started working on their synergy a bit more because I am counting on either GenG or T1 to win MSI so that all four of these favorite teams can make worlds this year :)
Honorable mention goes to OK Brion (especially Our Lord Morgan) for being so fun and resilient - watching their Mic Checks always makes me crack up. I have been a BROliever since the start of the season and I was absolutely thrilled that they were able to get some matches under their belt, so although it's highly unlikely that they'll make it to any international tournaments this year, I am wishing them well in the upcoming LCK Summer Split.

"Bi is and never has been binary." Also, I am bi and genderqueer so by nature of being myself I challenge the binary, and historical context matters...

Hope this clarifies. 👍🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🩸
Um….clarifies what? That Lestat is at the least bi?
I’m not sure what me saying I think there’s no way Lestat would limit himself to just men or women is worth sending me underlined screenshots? I’m not denying that he’s not heterosexual, just that if Lestat as a character made one thing clear it’s that love has nothing to do with sex in the physical sense.
So why would he limit himself? The man limited himself on absolutely nothing, so I’m sorry, but I have a hard time believing he’d say, nope, just men or women for me and nothing in between. The text infers that much even if Anne only explicitly used the term bisexual, which it’s also safe to assume was only because, again, pansexuality was not commonly discussed or even accepted until relatively recently. Like I know Freud was writing about it a hundred years ago, it just wasn’t something talked about outside of very specific circles, whereas homosexuality was, even if it wasn’t accepted.
For what it’s worth, Anne also said, in a statement somewhere on her Facebook page, that Lestat doesn’t limit who he loves based on gender, and that yes, he’s bisexual. So it’s almost like she’s saying he’s both pansexual and bisexual? At this point it’s just semantics. I’ll have to look for it but I want to say it was from around 2015.
You seem to think I’m almost denying it or that what I’m saying is bi-erasure on some level. It’s not. I’m just saying that Lestat is without limits, in every way, and that Astarion is blatantly a callback to that. He’s so Lestat-coded it’s not even funny, and that’s a huge part of the reason I love and appreciate him the way I do.
Not sure if Christopher would know the answer to the question, but I’m confident enough that were Anne still with us she wouldn’t confirm that Lestat only fucks men and women, but nothing in between or beyond….never mind that he can’t actually fuck.
Point is, Anne said Lestat does not limit himself and lives who he loves, the same way Astarion does. It’s just that now most people know that there’s a specific term for people who live beyond the binary, and Lestat was nothing if not beyond the binary.

Can You Save Money on Your Mornington Airport Hotel Transfer?
Okay, you've just landed after your flight, maybe feeling a bit weary, perhaps juggling luggage, and the next step is getting to your hotel in the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. That moment you step out of the terminal, the one thought that often crosses your mind is: "How can I get there without breaking the bank?" It’s a completely valid question. We all want our travel budget to stretch further, and finding cost-effective ground transport is a big part of that. When you're looking for an Airport to Hotel Transfer in Mornington, the price tag can vary wildly depending on how you choose to travel. So, let's explore the options and see if saving money is truly achievable without adding unwanted stress to your journey.
It’s tempting to just go for the absolute cheapest option you can find advertised online. But hold that thought for a moment. While the upfront cost is a significant factor, especially after paying for flights and accommodation, the true cost of your transfer involves more than just the fare. It includes your time, your comfort level after a flight, the energy you expend navigating unfamiliar systems, and the reliability of getting to your destination exactly when you need to be there. Sometimes, saving a few dollars initially can end up costing you in lost time, added frustration, or even missing an important appointment. So, while we absolutely can look at ways to be budget-conscious, it’s crucial to weigh the monetary saving against the potential impact on your overall travel experience and objectives.
Let's break down the common ways people travel from the airport towards the Mornington Peninsula and consider the costs and trade-offs of each:
1. Public Transport (Train and Bus): The Budget Champion?
Often the first option budget-conscious travelers consider is public transport. This typically involves taking a train from the airport to a major interchange, then another train, and likely one or more buses to get closer to your specific hotel in Mornington.
Cost: Generally the lowest monetary cost per person, especially if you have a valid transport pass.
Pros: Cheapest fare. Can offer a glimpse into local life.
Cons: This is where the 'true cost' comes in. It's usually the slowest option by far, involving multiple transfers which can be confusing, especially when tired or unfamiliar with the system. Luggage is a major challenge – hauling suitcases on and off trains and buses, navigating stairs and crowds. Services might be less frequent on weekends or late at night, potentially leading to long waits. This option demands significant time and physical effort.
2. Shared Shuttle Services: A Mid-Range Compromise?
Shared shuttle services pool multiple passengers heading in the same general direction. You typically book these in advance.
Cost: More expensive than public transport, but generally less than a taxi or private car. Prices are usually fixed when you book.
Pros: Door-to-door service is often available, meaning less hauling of luggage compared to public transport. Fixed price helps with budgeting.
Cons: The journey can take significantly longer than a direct route as the shuttle makes multiple stops to pick up and drop off other passengers. This adds unpredictability to your arrival time. You're also sharing a space with strangers, which may not be ideal if you need quiet time or privacy.
3. Taxis or Rideshare Services: On-Demand Convenience?
Grabbing a taxi from the rank or booking a rideshare through an app offers spontaneity.
Cost: Variable. Metered taxi fares can increase significantly with traffic or longer distances. Rideshare prices can surge during peak demand. Generally falls into a mid-to-higher price bracket, especially for the distance to Mornington.
Pros: Available on demand at the airport (though there might be queues). Offers a direct route to your destination.
Cons: Cost can be unpredictable and potentially very high, especially if traffic is bad or surge pricing is active. Vehicle size and quality can vary. While convenient for immediate departure, it might not be the most relaxing or cost-effective option for the longer journey to Mornington compared to pre-booked alternatives.
When evaluating your options for an Airport to Hotel Transfer in Mornington, remember that factors like the time of day you arrive, the number of people travelling with you, and the amount of luggage you have will heavily influence which option is most practical and cost-effective for you. For instance, splitting the cost of a private car among several passengers might make it surprisingly competitive with other options, while offering vastly superior comfort and convenience. Similarly, arriving late at night when public transport is limited dramatically changes the equation.
4. Private Car or Chauffeur Service: The Premium Experience?
Booking a private car or chauffeur service means a vehicle is exclusively waiting for you, pre-arranged before you even land.
Cost: Typically the highest upfront cost. However, the price is usually fixed at the time of booking, regardless of traffic.
Pros: Unmatched convenience, comfort, and reliability. A professional driver meets you (often right at the terminal), handles luggage, and takes you directly to your destination via the most efficient route. Provides privacy – essentially a quiet, mobile space for work or relaxation. Punctuality is a core promise.
Cons: Highest initial price point.
Where Can You Potentially Save (or Get More Value)?
Instead of just chasing the lowest price number, think about where you can gain value that saves you money or hassle in other ways:
Book in Advance: For taxis, shuttles, and private cars, booking ahead often secures a better rate than trying to arrange something last minute upon arrival. It also guarantees availability.
Compare "True Costs": If a cheaper option takes two hours longer and leaves you stressed and late for a meeting, did you really save money? Factor in the value of your time and state of mind.
Travel in a Group: For 3+ people, the per-person cost of a taxi or private car often becomes very competitive with public transport or shuttles, offering a significant upgrade in convenience for a similar price.
Look for Fixed Pricing: Services that offer fixed fares from the airport to Mornington remove the uncertainty of meters or surge pricing, helping you budget accurately. Ensure tolls and parking fees are included.
Consider Off-Peak Travel: If your schedule allows, arriving or departing during off-peak hours might offer slightly lower fares for some services or reduce travel time significantly, making a slightly more expensive option more time-efficient.
Understand What's Included: Does the price include waiting time if your flight is delayed? Is luggage assistance part of the service? Hidden fees can quickly erode apparent savings.
Ultimately, saving money on your Airport to Hotel Transfer in Mornington isn't always about finding the cheapest sticker price. It's about making an informed decision that aligns with your priorities for that specific trip. If you're backpacking with minimal luggage and plenty of time, public transport might be genuinely cost-effective. If you're on a tight business schedule, traveling with family, or simply value arriving relaxed and on time, investing in a more convenient option like a pre-booked private car could save you significant stress and potential costs down the line, offering better overall value even if the initial fare is higher.
By understanding the pros, cons, and true costs of each transfer method, you can make the smartest choice for your needs, ensuring your journey to your Mornington hotel starts on the right foot, without unnecessary financial surprises or logistical headaches. Choose the option that saves you what matters most, whether that's dollars, minutes, or your peace of mind.
