Annnd we end the self challenge with Megatron! Wooo, a whole month of late night, 10 minute sketches. Pretty proud of myself for not missing a day or talking myself out of posting them.
I learned a few things from all this. 1) No way am I drawing a whole body of an Cybertronian in a 10 minute timelimit. 2) There are so many characters to choose from but it's still somehow hard to choose someone to draw. 3) I ended up drawing a lot of g1 versions because less detailed cubes became easier to scribble up fast. 4) I sketch way too hard to be able to erase my mistakes without smudging everything up.
But anyways, even with the self challenge done, my asks are always open. This just means I won't have a very short time crunch on getting the drawings done and unless an ask asks for the messy pencil sketch style, everything will be doodled up digitally. So as always, please feel free to drop requests and such in my ask box!

Britta Phillips - Jem - Truly Outrageous 1985
Jem and The Holograms, also known as simply Jem, is an American animated musical television series that ran from 1985 to 1988. The series is about record company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, and the adventures of her band Jem and The Holograms. The series was a joint collaboration by Hasbro, Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions, the same team responsible for G.I. Joe and Transformers. The creator of the series, Christy Marx, had also been a staff writer for the aforementioned programs. The animation for most of the episodes was provided by Japanese animation studio Toei Animation. Eleven episodes and the stunningly gorgeous opening sequence were provided by the South Korean studio AKOM.
The series' format included three songs for the featured music videos in each episode. The music videos paralleled the style of rock videos found on MTV at the time featuring fast editing, a quick pace, and special effects. The inclusion of music videos in Jem was a result of the success and popularity of MTV (Music Television) at the time, which began airing four years prior. The show contains a total of 187 music videos with 151 unique songs. Over 200 original songs were written for the series. Several songs are featured on cassette tapes of Hasbro's Jem toy line.
The Jem Theme was composed by Anne Bryant and sung by Britta Phillips. The song is an alternate version of "Truly Outrageous", arranged to fit the TV series intro's imagery and also allows for a verse sung by the show's antagonists The Misfits to be added.
"Truly Outrageous" received a total of 68,6% yes votes!

Did a doll project that prompted me to get into my "small but not in-scale" button stash, and that brought out all the novelty buttons I've had for ages with the idea that they could be sewn onto doll clothes to look (vaguely) like pins.
Well, I decided...might as well do that now, eh? So I made a quick jacket from lightweight denim--it's not a proper denim jacket, but I do want to make one of those again sometime (last time I made one of those was easily 20 years ago)--and sewed on some of the buttons.
The doll is a rerooted reproduction Francie head on a Hasbro Descendants body (I'm still looking for a body that feels right for this head)

Long time no art post…so it’s been a while since I’ve posted any bad batch artwork😅
Art block when it comes to bad batch art has been kicking my butt unfortunately. Not to mention I’ve been busy with commissions and Patreon stuff and personal life stuff. I missed drawing Tech x Onyx (Star Wars OC) so I decided to do a quick sketch of them. Might color it at some point.
I do want to sketch more of these guys, cause the show is my favorite Star Wars show. I’ll try to make time for them.
Speaking of the boys, I’ve been for the last year trying to collect the bad batch black series figures. I got Tech right away for Christmas last year, then Hunter several months later. Echo I found for a decent price on Amazon whereas Crosshair was so hard to find at a decent price. Especially the one in his bad batch colors. Luckily I found one for a somewhat okay price. Wrecker and Omega I ordered off of Hasbro’s website for a good price. Next time if I want a full set, I’ll just buy them right away instead of having to track them down like looking for a needle in a haystack😅😅

Some cleaner packaging art for CyberWorld appeared for upcoming Amazon listings.

The character designs are definitely inspired by super robot anime of the past, giving the characters a fun throw back to Car Robots and the Unicron Trilogy. Megatron in his bull form is not out of place in stuff like Energon and RiD01.
On a related note, Sky-Byte takes his inspiration primarily from the Generations toy but his head evokes his old RiD01 head to me.

Curiously his Anchor Arm is detachable and can be equipped to his Beast … uh… Vehicle Mode head. I’m assuming it can be a new attack, but a lot of people say it evokes a crown. Others have lovingly nicknamed him “Land-Byte” because of his Hot Wheels monster car design.
Snarl definitely has a Junkion vibe, but whether he’s supposed to BE one we dunno yet. I don’t really see it being addressed either way, but a lot of veteran fans are content with the very idea of a Dinobot Junkion. I’m still impressed it’s Snarl of all guys, because he tends to be the forgotten one in favor of Slag or Swoop if Grimlock has another G1 style dino buddy in modern toys.
These toys, as mentioned before, emphasize a quick transformation on the packaging, a continued carry over from complaints from the Bayformers toy lines where several toys were becoming too complex to Transform.
These seem to strike a decent balance of the simplistic G1 era toys and the early one step toys of Beast Wars, which I’m fine with. The RotB toys were of a similar ilk and I like fiddling with my figures from it.
One thing I find funny is how the packaging on these guys refer to "Quick Change" or "Armor Up" based on what type of toy it is...

While Grimlock's toy instead says "CHANGES TO DINO!" with its own unique logo with Grimlock biting the words. It's so delightfully absurd, and exclusive to Grimlock, I adore it for that. Why Snarl didn't get any such logo for himself, I dunno, since he too CHANGES TO DINO!

Still not really sure I get the Armored Changers idea, as the accessories they come with are just flip out gun thingies rather than clip on armor like the Cyberverse Spark Armor or the Beast Armor from ROTB. The idea of a separate Transforming partner does evoke the Action Masters, which I kinda dig also.
The packaging seems to emphasize elemental typing more than expected, as besides referencing the biomes mentioned in earlier press, the same elemental logos are used for individual Transformers. Bumblebee and Optimus represent the city zone, Galvatron represents the desert zone, the Dinobots and Megatron represent the jungle zone and Sky-Byte represents the water zone.
I might be reading too much into it, but I wonder if this is meant to be analogous to Bakugan's elemental factions (and where they had Transformers style Clan factions that one time). It wouldn't be the first time Transformers referenced Bakugan, considering the RiD15 Cyclone Mini-Cons (and frankly most of their Mini-Cons were analogous to Pokemon and Bakugan, with Pucks and Torpedoes also evoking Trap Bakugan, Nanogan and Geogan).
As of typing we still don't have the full context on how the rules fully work in this universe, but Hasbro and Takara clearly are experimenting with an elemental idea going by this and Wild King, ESPECIALLY Wild King. CyberWorld doing something similar makes it clear other Transformers will also be categorized based on elemental affiliation too.
So we can assume the following:
Chop Shop (Insect Beast Mode): Jungle
Elita -1 (Boat Vehicle Mode): Water
Starscream (Jet Vehicle Mode): City
Mirage (Also Jet Vehicle Mode): City
Scorponok (Scorpion Beast Mode): Jungle or Desert. He's kind of a toss up, but leaning towards Desert being his affiliation. Maybe Galvatron and Scorponok dominate the desert zone in a nod to the Bay films.
Off Road Optimus Prime & Off Road Bumblebee (Off Road Vehicle Mode) City, Jungle and/or Desert. The toys were shown associated with the city zone at Toy Fair, but the Off Road theme would suggest they'd be used heavily outside of the urban jungle.
G2 style Megatron (Tank Vehicle Mode): City, Desert or Jungle
If the line is successful, or if they already had some additional characters in the can, I think it's safe to assume any additional Autobots and Decepticons we weren't privy to yet would follow this typing system.
And frankly both the Autobots and Decepticons could use more Water guys, as we only have Elita and Sky-Byte as the Water rep. Maybe they're rivals in this context? Hopefully it's a better developed rivalry than Sky-Byte and Jetfire was in Cyberverse... I could see Scorponok involved with the Water battles, Sea Scorpions are a thing, but it leaves the Autobots at too much of a disadvantage and Elita-1 is good, but she's not THAT good. I'm not expecting someone like Broadside or High Tide here, heck maybe they'll bring back Hammerbyte as a Sky-Byte retool, who's to say. Same goes for the Desert, since Galvatron is the only one of that typing for the moment.
Another curious thing is there seems to be a tagline: "More to Unlock". It clearly refers to other toys available in the line so far on the packaging, but the idea of Unlocking is curious. Perhaps it refers to what the Autobots and Decepticons need to do in story? What little we know so far says there's video game like challenges, so perhaps each elemental area is akin to a video game level, and they have to progress through? That would make the most sense.
Either way, the first wave of toys come out June 15th, 2025, with the second wave on October. The first wave is said to be Optimus, Bee and Skybyte, with Starscream as the only named one for the second atm. When the other guys and gals come out we don't know yet as of typing. Perhaps the first and second waves will have more characters? Only having Bee, Prime and Sky-Byte to start out is strange, at least strange in that they're not going in with the new Megatron, but maybe after the failure of EarthSpark Megatron, maybe they want to hold off a smidge on Megatron this time toy wise...

some western TF fans are really weird and frankly xenophobic (speaking from an asian fan). I've been seeing this one guy on twt getting all angry that people are trying to make 'different' ship names depending on who tops/bottoms ex: megastar vs starmeg. they complain about how "new overseas fans are trying to impose their danmei culture on our fandom" (yes, those are their words. not mine, theirs. although a bit paraphrased). when ship names depending on who tops and bottoms has.... always been a thing? shipping isn't a western-only thing........ and transformers was never exclusively a western franchise. quick, what other company handles transformers besides hasbros? quick, where did the idea of transformers originate from? i'll wait.
and the whole "imposing their culture on our fandom!" is really weird and tone deaf for MANY reasons, but that's beside the point; what I take more irritation is that they screenshot and put on blast and make fun of an Asian artist for setting boundaries (Asian artist saying "I don't do switch content. Do not repost my art and put a different tag.".. and this is a completely reasonable post to make bc some people repost artwork)
I dont wanna explain the whole difference between a ship name depending on t/b for Asian fandom. There's plenty of twitter threads and posts that explain it, and that's not really the point rn.
In the end, it's all about curating what you want to see and don't want to see, isn't it? People are allowed to only like specific content! People are allowed to block others! And that's another thing: people get upset and publicly post about being blocked. If someone blocked you, just move on! Not everyone on the internet wants to interact with you, whether it's what you post, or if your vibes are just not vibing with them. If people block you over a ship or dynamic, so what? There's plenty other people out there you can interact with, surely just because you can't interact with this one specific person doesn't mean it's the end of the world.
Uh where was I with this confession? Right. Western TF fandom is kinda weird.

(REBLOGS APPRECIATED!!!) Its been 7 years since the last page was posted of my "Transformers: IGNITION" fancomic, and 5 years since I last attempted to bring the comic back but I'm finally FINALLY going to really push for it this time. Wanted to relaunch but I didn't want to just ignore what I had done already. So I hope the 2 quick pages I just added work as a band-aid, lol. This was actually a slight reworking of what originally was going to be part of an extended prologue I was going to add as part of a new intro for the comic as it was, but I decided to use it as a relaunch point. I'll be starting slowly with character designs and revisions and stuff that I'll be posting first before getting to the actual pages but you'll at least get to see that happening as I progress.
Originally when I did this comic back in 2013, I was basically trying to re-do G1 as at the time that felt like it would never be done by Hasbro proper again and IDW was doing all the very different stuff with the property. But now that everything is very G1 and IDW is now over I want to try and bring a little of that flavour back with characters from all over and not JUST G1. Also I'll be keeping everything on Cybertron for the most part, not going to Earth. I'll explain more as I go along!
But yeah, been many years, learned many new things, want to bring it all to the table and expand on what I had started here. Hope you all like what I got cooking! :) - Kris

hi um so thanks for bringing out the whore i didn't know i had in me thanks. (im foaming at my mouth w each of your scrumptious fics)
also quick question, how would you rate transformers characters from ok he fine to total dilf with 6 kids
hey anon you're very welcome; call me the whore whisperer
if we're going TFP, then here is my very accurate very canon list:
obviously Ratchet first. he is a total dilf with six kids. whos kids? mine. i will fuck him until the heat death of the universe, in cowgirl style so he can info dump all about said heat death of the universe.
Optimus. he is the official hasbro trademarked dilf daddy with six kids. enough said, will fuck.
Bumblebee. he's on the lower end of the scale, but his fine ass physique puts him a little bit above most (a bit stupid because they all have fine ass physiques).
Bulkhead. I'm tapping it. I'm teaching him how to get down and dirty with it. Not just 'ok he fine', but 'damn he fine'. will fuck.
Arcee. she scares me, in a good way. will let her eat me out anyway. classifying her as total milf with one kid. will fuck but only if she get's therapy.
Wheeljack. TOTAL DILF WITH SIX KIDS. will most definitely fuck and give him seven.
Ultra Magnus. total dilf with six kids but in lowercase. his love for discipline makes my pussy wet. will fuck.
Cliffjumper. Ok he fine (he's not. he's dead, unfortunately). BUT if given the chance, i would steal arcee's thunder and tap it.

Hello there, I Just wanted to ask if you plan on giving my boy Starscream a bodyupgrade ( similar to optimus when the forge of Solus repaired him ) ??
Hi back!
To be quick about it, no. Starscream will not be given a chassis-upgrade.
To explain: this version of Starscream has already been through enough. He struggles with his own self image, due to the fact that he, at one time, did look very different. Joining Decepticon ranks forced him to change his image into what Megatron saw fit and now Starscream is fighting to regain control over his visage and how he presents himself.
To further explain: Let’s be real, the ‘upgrades’ were only made to sell toys by Hasbro. It’s the same mech/femme, but now they have upgrades. It’s the same mech/femme, but now they have new colors. It’s the same mech/femme, etc. The only changes Starscream has received, physically, have been in color and that was to fight back the trauma he’s also been through. And emotionally, I just piled onto the wreck. :)

So remember that sketch of Fluttershy I did?
Yeah, I digitalized it.
Or at least I tried to.
Constructive feedback, advice/tips, and criticism for IbisPaint is especially appreciated. Especially when it comes to lineart and coloring!
Fluttershy belongs to Hasbro.
[Quick edit!: removed reaction image. Felt a bit too mean towards myself. My mistake!]

really, if elon musk were to buy hasbro, the effect the largest company in the industry catering exclusively to chuds would have on the community around it, beyond D&D, would probably be largely negative for almost everyone involved that isn't also, like, a chud. i'd rather be in an environment where D&D pretends to be a queer kitchen sink game and at least wears the face of something more accepting than an environment where D&D still pretends to be a kitchen sink game but for fascists.
This is true to some extent, although on the flip side I do think that rainbow capitalism does very little to actually benefit anyone besides the capitalists. But ultimately the funniest outcome would be for Elon's attempt to "save" D&D by buying Hasbro to fail simply because no one is willing to fork the cash to help him fight his little culture war.
Like, I may joke about it, but I don't actually wish Elon Musk on any D&D fans (especially since I have very little faith in an Elon Musk owned Hasbro actually having any effect on people's willingness to play D&D: as we've seen with the OGL debacle et al people are very quick to forgive WotC as long as it means they get to keep on playing D&D without thinking about it).
