I'm curious though, obviously if you're into them-- got any favorite DC/Marvel crossover ships by chance?

Beast Boy x Squirrel Girl (I love the Beast Boy from the DC Animated Film Universe and the Squirrel Girl from Ultimate Spider-Man)

Deadpool x Harley Quinn (I really love the live action film versions of them both)

Rocket Raccoon x Starfire (I really love the Starfire from Teen Titans and The Judas Contract, and the Rocket Raccoon from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy {2015} specifically.)

That's all I can think of for now. But I'm very open to hearing more DC x Marvel ships.

can i just scream about the fact that not even as a power couple but just as allies, black hat and demencia working together is one of the most dangerous and smartest thing to ever happen in their universe because let me tell you! the only real threat in their dynamic besides demencia’s infatuation with black hat is flug because we can’t discredit the fact that he must have an antidote of sorts for demencia’s condition if she ever becomes a threat to the company. the fact that demencia is in a way, immortal herself due to her regenerative abilities and high pain tolerance makes her near indestructible if she’s ever caught. like someone could try to use her as bait and vice versa ( even though it would take a lot or never to catch black hat but theoretically speaking ) demencia wouldn’t be so foolish to offend her boss by doubting his power. she’s aware that he can take care of himself if he’s ever in danger and she’d expect the same from him. despite being a creature of chaos with a short-temper i think she’d be patient when necessary. she takes her job seriously and would wait things out until she sees an opportunity to get out. another thing that makes them super dangerous as a duo is they’re cunning in their own right and to those unfortunate enough to be at the wrong place at the wrong time won’t have any idea what hit them before it’s too late and everything is up in flames. the fact that demencia’s interest is what’s so off putting for black hat may be the saving grace for a lot of horrific outcomes for the heroes dealing with black hat since, i’ll always stand by what i say about black hat and demencia getting a lot of shit done together if their dynamic isn’t as flawed as it is.

Yanjing Chinese Restaurant

I don't generally spend much time in the Quinpool area, but on finding myself downtown for several hours with more or less nothing to do except kill time, I opted to check out Yanjing Chinese Restaurant. My experience with Silver Dragon had left me distinctly underwhelmed, and part of my reason for choosing to check out this particular restaurant was the positive reviews I spotted online. I was slightly apprehensive, noticing that General Tao's chicken was listened on the Canadian Chinese section of the menu, but my anxieties were unfounded. Brother, the chicken is real good. 

The sauce is excellent, a tiny bit sweet with a great peppery spice which reminded me of Zen Chinese's offering. I was able to splash some onto a couple forkfuls of rice and generally make a delicious mess of things for myself. The vegetable mix was mainly onions and carrots, prepared with the chicken in the usual fashion. They weren't bad, but I would say they were the least exciting part of the whole meal. 

The chicken itself was quite good. Crispy, crunchy light breading and a good variety in pieces.

I was able to order the General Tao's chicken as part of a full combo, which bears elaboration on two points: first, if you're the type of person, like myself, who enjoys seeing their plate heaped high with food, there's not that much there. It's not what I'd call a small meal, it's actually a perfect lunch size and great for its price, but you won't be stuffing yourself. And second, the egg roll may have been the best I've had in ages. 

Overall, Yanjing's General Tao was a very pleasant surprise for me. The chicken was excellent, and I cannot stress enough how good the whole combo plate was for it's low price. As it is I've found myself heading back for seconds when called upon to dine in the area with friends.

I have not been in an #IGA since 1998. When the store s in Halifax were turned into @superstore.atlantic The IGA on Quinnpool Road was across the street from my dad's Law Office. So a bit of nostalgia here. (at Market Place IGA)
