Not really a Disney Mirrorverse ask, but thoughts on Cindy x Mojo Jojo from The Powerpuff Girls in the Jellystone crossover? I already asked this question to Crosspunzel, but i also wanted to hear your thoughts on it too
youtube
I’ve never watched Jellystone, but after seeing this video on YouTube, I totally support this ship! It just fits so well! Cindy Bear seems to be some kind of doctor or mad scientist instead of a Southern belle with a thing for Yogi?? I miss the old vibe, but honestly, this version works.
And let’s be real, the ship officially sailed for me the second Mojo Jojo came in with “Mojo did not know how he felt until he saw Doctor Cindy beat up these little girls just now—it all just clicked!” 🥺💖
That moment was perfection! 🤣

Hey Molly! Sorry this took me so long—you know how much I absolutely adore Gargoyles! X3
Okay, so Broadway would probably be the most bashful about it. I can totally imagine him blushing furiously, his eyes going wide, and then letting out a goofy little laugh that sounds like he’s trying to play it cool but failing miserably. He might even stumble backward, knocking over something in his path—classic Broadway charm~ Though, I have to admit, every time I watch how the kiss between him and Angela unfolds, it thrills me. The way he comforted her in that moment was so tender and heartfelt. 🥺
Lexington, on the other hand, might freeze for a moment, his brain short-circuiting as he tries to process what just happened. Then, he’d break into a sheepish grin, something like, “Uh… wow.” He might even go full-on analytical mode, questioning whether it was intentional or some kind of playful accident—only to realize that, yes, it really happened, and then he'd finally just give up and enjoy the moment.
Brooklyn would likely try to act suave at first, but the kiss would completely throw him off his game. I picture him trying to say something cool but ending up stammering instead. He’d be going out of his mind with joy because, from what I’ve always noticed about Brooklyn, he’s a romantic and a lonely guy who longs for a mate. In one universe in an alternate future, he was in a healthy relationship with Demona, and in his main universe, he might've had a crush on her before she used and betrayed him. He was heartbroken when Maggie didnt return his feelings, and he daydreamed about giving Angela flowers—only to be crushed when he saw Broadway and Angela kiss. So yeah, if he were kissed, he’d definitely cherish it, reliving the moment over and over in his head.
What do you think? Does this match the vibe you’re looking for? I was rambling a bit there. 😅
Here's another Gargoyles question.
How would Broadway, Lexington, and Brooklyn react to getting kissed on the mouth for the first time?
(I'm kinda looking for who would have a goofy reaction. Like a wobbly smile and falling over.)
Any ideas, @twisting-echo?

Can I, can I ask for OrdoEcho? Shippy. Something cute or funny, like when Ordo first tries to feed Echo with uj-cake? :3
Tumblr media
Ordo: So? [Intense stare of stressful anticipation] [anxiety intensifies] Echo: The texture is shit and it smells awful. Echo: I won't eat this. Ordo: My compassion is not needed. My kindness was rejected. Ordo: I failed being a good person. Ordo: I failed Buir!!! Ordo: Either I failed or you are just being rude!!! Ordo: I really should strangle the osik out of you!!! Echo: VOD.
There you go, love, Ordo and Echo in their cadet years :3 Ordo shares food with people he loves. But what happens when your cyar'ika is a picky eater? Well, let's just say Echo underestimated the importance of Uj-cake in Ordo's life. Or more like underestimated exactly on what degree is Ordo a walking anxiety-bomb.
Thank you for your request, ith, you made me really happy <333

I have two theories for the new Zelda game, and neither is a spoiler because I'm not gonna explain why merely where I think it falls in the timeline. It is either A) extremely early timeline due to ingame dialog and story beats or B) extremely late timeline somewhere before BOTW but after everything else due to that same dialog and story beats when taken in a difference context. Either way, it's definitely a significant portion of the timeline, and it potentially either creates one of the major foundations for the rest of the timeline ala Skyward Sword and OoT or completely recontexualizes everything we know about the timeline.
Hmm, honestly I haven’t gotten too far in the game (I’m at the Gerudo Desert) but… it’s hard to figure out where this might fall. There’s Sea Zora and River Zora, which I only just met the Sea Zora and have to figure out what the deal is with the River Zora. Haven’t gotten into lore too much. I did recognize many OoT beasts, though! And Skyward Sword!
To be real, Nintendo does not care where it falls in the timeline, they can’t even be consistent with a direct sequel, so I doubt it’ll recontextualize anything lol; we’ll all just find a way to make it work with the timelines they threw together anyway. 😂
I will say, unrelated to timelines, I adore how much Link is loved in this world - there’s so much established about him already, and you can learn so much about him through Zelda’s journeying! I’m really enjoying this game. :) And it’s SO STINKIN CUTE, I love the graphics and the music!
Speaking of music, to me that’s an indication that it’s probably earlier timeline. It’s got heavy use of like recorder music and other stuff, which is typically earlier periods of music history. If that counts for anything.

Why do m/f ships are often regarded as boring and plain in comparison to m/m and f/f ships?
I think it's a combination of things:
1) Over-saturation. M/F romances have been the bread and butter of mainstream media for literally thousands of years. (Although the world's first known work of literature was pretty gay, so there's that lol!) Anyway, because of this, it's easy for M/F stories to repeat old plots, or for audiences to feel as if "there are no new stories to tell." After consuming M/F romance media for a while, people can start to feel like "I've seen this before." When the market is saturated, it becomes harder to find new twists on old tropes, fresh voices, etc., and there's no longer as much sensation of mystery or the unexpected--if you see a hot main female character and a hot main male character in a movie, chances are they're guaranteed to get together. When things become "given" in media, the stakes vanish, and it's much harder to generate interest from readers or viewers. ("This ship is going to be endgame anyway, so why bother worrying about whether they'll get together?")
Conversely, when the romance is M/M or F/F, it still has an element of "newness." Perhaps we haven't seen this particular romantic comedy plot with a queer couple before. Maybe adding the extra element of societal response to being gay changes up how an old trope will play out. Because queer romances haven't been grafted on to seemingly every possible trope and scenario in media (yet), there's still chances for surprises and intrigue. Basically, M/M and F/F have the benefit of newness.
I think it's worth pointing out, though, that this will likely not last. An inevitable side effect of queer romances becoming normalized in mainstream media is that, over time, all those tropes and cliched plots will get played out with both M/M and F/F ships, and we'll one day reach over-saturation on queer romances as well, making many of them feel just as bland as the stock of M/F romances in media too.
2) A lot of M/F writing is just really bad. I've discussed at length many reasons why M/F romances tend to be more poorly written in a lot of mainstream media, and the many reasons are too varied to go over again (misogyny, inexperienced male writers, sexual fixation on the other gender resulting in objectification, etc. etc.), but I think it's key to remember that a lot of stories which contain romantic plots weren't actually intended to be romances at all. They just have a romance because society treats romance as obligatory. Writing a horror story? Wait, you mean the hot male protagonist and the hot female protagonist aren't going to bond over their life-threatening situations and end up together? Writing a movie about the horrific tragedy of the sinking of the Titanic? What do you mean it won't center around a forbidden romance between people of different economic classes? Your high fantasy epic doesn't have a princess for your knight to save?! Huh?
The problem is that a lot of people who can write well in one genre cannot write well in other genres. You can have the best horror writer in history... and that person may be completely incapable of writing a romantic plotline to save their life. You can have the most accurate historical political intrigue researcher ever--and then that person has zero experience trying to build effective romantic tension. Unlike other genres which don't have to cross over with each other--your crime drama doesn't have to become a historical drama; your YA fantasy novel doesn't have to become a comedy--writers of practically every genre are expected to be able to throw romance plots into their works and sell them.
When romance is so ubiquitous, it's inevitable that a lot of it is going to be written by people who aren't skilled at writing it, and thus a whole lot of it is going to just be kind of poorly written.
Conversely, we're still at a moment in time when queer romances are regarded as somewhat controversial in mainstream media. It's growing less so over time, but we're still at the point where, if there's a queer romance in a piece of mainstream media, it's because the authors really wanted to put it there. It's not there because of a sense of obligation or viewer expectations, but because someone producing that work really wanted to tell a queer romance story. When you're adding a romance plotline because you really want to write a romance, that plot is (usually) better simply because that plot is more important to the writers.
Furthermore, because queer romance plots are still scrutinized much, much more than M/F romances by editing boards, shareholders, etc., it is likely that these stories are held to a higher writing standard that M/F romances currently. They will be subject to greater editing and require greater "justification" in order to sell decision-makers on the necessity of including the pair. Therefore, across the board, queer romances in mainstream media are likely to receive more of the writers' time and effort than M/F romances.
Once again though, this is a product of media's current situation and not something that will last. Give it a few more years in an LGBT+ friendly administration and M/M and F/F romance plots in shows, books, etc. will become normalized to the point that including one won't be remotely controversial. The level of scrutiny and focus on such ships will fall, and eventually they'll become just about as obligatory as M/F ships, complete with the matching drop in quality. 😂

Possible reblog/tag game if you want it to be.
what's a thing you consider beautiful in a person but most don't or isn't a part of the classic beauty standards?
I'll start, mine is eye bags, soulful eyes, wrinkles on the face or hands, really long hair that has visible wear and tear so you can tell someone has gone through hardships with it or really short spiky kind of hair that's well maintained or an utter mess, tattoos, and general comforting vibes from someone, as if they have lived through a hurt and it would physically pain them to see someone else go through that same thing.
What about you?
And don't worry about if your answer is the same as someone else's, I kind of want to see how many people think a particular thing is beautiful that isn't particularly in the "beauty standards"
Here, I'll start it off with some of my moots I can think of rn:

i saw that you used to hint at oc stuff on twitter (don't ask me why im digging im looking for zola stuff lmao) why don't you post more about them?
i am simply terrified that if i post oc things online someone will steal the concept and run with it faster and better than i ever could have and then i will be devastated forever and ever
Tumblr media
more seriously i have very little to show for any of my oc things (adhd brain making life difficult as per usual awawawawawa) and every time i've shared oc things in the past i've ended up never following up on it and it makes me feel bad and guilty so i've just convinced myself i will Never talk about my ocs until i have something substantial i can put out there
#mio answers things#anon#i'm getting a little better with making things for my ocs#on account of having friends i can actively share my brain rot with#but i still dread the feeling of posting a character and being forever haunted about never doing anything with them ever again#(echoes of custard howling in my mind)#just like how i dread having a repeat of that time in middle school#where i talked about my werecrow oc in the comments of a bigger artist's works#and they ended up making their own werecrow oc immediately after#they very much directly aligned with mine#but it got wildly popular on their account and they made a ton of art for it and i just#ended up deleting any evidence of mine because i felt so bad about it skjdfhgkldhfkgj#like i have no problem with people taking inspiration from my designs#i think it's fun seeing people design vy2s with two toned hair and kyos with pink eyes and hair pins w#but like. the thought of posting my oc and having someone run them through a blender to make their own character makes me feel. bad.#i can't articulate the specific reason Why it makes me feel bad but it does skjfghdkjfgsdhkjf#like if i finally posted theater gang stuff and then saw someone else take those concepts and make them into their own characters#i might just collapse into a pile of beef trimmings and never get up sdfkjhglksjdfg#it's silly and i don't know why my brain's like this but because of this in combination with my fear of posted oc things haunting me foreve#i simply will not be posting <3333#(and also just that. i'm incapable of producing enough artwork to make my ocs matter in a public context i think.)#(like you breed affection for a character through familiarity)#(which you only really get by creating A Lot Of Art)#(and i cannot do that <333)#(so instead most times i post it's a few handfuls of likes)#(and that doesn't really feel worth it to my brain when i could just settle for going insane over them with my friends skjdfhgkjsdf)#i really think this last year has just taught me that i really. honestly truly prioritize the reactions and feelings of my friends#over strangers on the internet#and it feels a lot more comfortable that way w#AH

Hi! It’s my first ask to you, so yay!
I know this one have nothing to do with your ask title but I wanna share this idea that I had since last year!
I happen to love Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, I end up thinking about crossover shipping her then I thought of Larry from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, since then, my brain have some fleeting thoughts of Tiana and Larry! I don’t know how familiar you are with Pokemon but I thought you wanna know that.
I do plan on posting the crossover ship later and if you are cool with getting tagged, I can do that! If not, then hopefully, you’ll find my post somehow!
Whatcha think?
Tumblr media
Hi there! It’s lovely to see your first ask.
No need to be shy at all! 😊 I absolutely love the idea of shipping Tiana and Larry. I’m not too familiar with Larry or Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but when I looked him up, I was pleasantly surprised by how handsome he is. I love that he shares Tiana's love for food, which makes them an adorable pair. They look sooo gewd together! Look at Tiana and her tired-ass husband!
I’d be thrilled to see your crossover post. Feel free to tag me when you do! Can't wait to see what you've come up with.
Thanks for sharing your idea with me! 🥰💖

It’s fine! I just don’t really know what you’re expecting, so um. I end up being awkward. If I knew what to do I’d be able to do it, I think. But if you wanna keep doing it, just be aware that I might be awkward.

I would like to know about Zetsubou?
You know that scene from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei where the resident perfectionist Chiri-chan try to perfectly cut a strawberry cake but the more people come in to get a piece, the more irritated she gets with calculating so in the end she throws the whole cake into the mixer and made the disgusting smoothie out of it? I started to make a Bad Batch version of the scene. :DDDDD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My original plan was to redraw this scene but since summer the Tech in my head drastically changed and I don't think the skittishness of Chiri really suits him anymore.
Also there is a plan to make this an animatic instead of a comic, maybe with the 501st instead of the Bad Batch, featuring Dogma or Echo as Chiri.

I am interested in the "assassin fox" and "shotsooooo" - please elaborate on them and show us what you got? :3
Assassin fox is actually this post I made out of spite, when I saw someone being a fucktoast over fans who publicly dared share their fantheories about CX-02. I hate season 3, but I hate killjoys more. The art is still in wip.
But the other one... Deadshot with short hair. I think I keep it, he is cute with it. ♡( ◡‿◡ )

see the most imp part for a ship to work is the ""tension""........ do they hv the tension?? changjin??
listen I'm a full believer that tension is fun and good, but sometimes you just need a couple that's the walking embodiment of the sparkling heart emoji, y'know? tension is fun in books or tv shows but sometimes I just wanna witness two people be stupidly in love and obsessed with each other. I wrote out an entire paragraph about them maybe having tension theoretically but then I deleted it all because I remembered the 2ks and how their push and pull dynamic is all for show and 90% of the time they just hang out together and do domestic shit. it works because they're so incredibly soft for each other.
also, not to bring minsung into this but those bitches don't have tension either and they're THE couple of the century. they locked eyes as trainees and fell in love immediately. they're newlyweds. they've been married for 7 years. they have big stupid crushes on each other. they're soulmates. minho looks at jisung like he hung the fucking stars, moon AND sun. jisung sighs all dopey and happy whenever minho so much as LOOKS at him. tension? don't know her.
