seeing the reviews on serializd for btvs 6x19 is crazy. it is an unremarkable and dull episode, but it seems like the only reason why it's rated so low is because they're mad they can't wash spike's rancid balls anymore.
"IT WAS OUT OF CHARACTER" were we watching the same show? did you guys close your eyes and plug your ears with wax when his scenes were on? let me list the many, many examples that prove spike was not this amazing love interest in s5/s6 you all have cooked him up to be:
5x07: Goes to kill Buffy because she rejected him.
5x14: Chains Buffy up and says, "If you don't admit that there's something there, some tiny feeling for me, then I'll untie Dru, let her kill you instead."
Also 5x14: Has a creepy ass shrine filled with photos of her and her fucking clothes. He stole her fucking underwear.
Also 5x14: Gets angry at Buffy for rejecting him and says, "Why do you bitches torture me?"
5x18: SEXBOT. ENOUGH SAID.
6x07: "I hope you dance till you burn. You and [Dawn]."
6x09: Harasses Buffy about them kissing again, she tells him goodbye and he still follows her, ending their conversation with, "It's only a matter of time before you realize I'm the only one here for you, pet. You got no one else!"
Also 6x09: Realizes the chip doesn't work for Buffy, finds her and starts a fight, then says, "You came back wrong."
6x10: "And the next time you come crawling, if you don't stop being such a bitch, maybe I will bite you."
6x13: At the bronze, Buffy tells him "don't" when he's touching her, and his response is, "stop me," and he has sex with her. How respectful...
Also 6x13: Encourages her physical/mental isolation, "That's not your world. You belong in the shadows...with me."
6x17: "It's why you won't tell your pals about us. Might actually have to be happy if you did. They'd either understand and help you, god forbid ... or drive you out ... where you can finally be at peace, in the dark. With me."
6x18: Threatens to sic another vampire on Buffy if she doesn't tell her friends about them.
there are probably more examples i could find, but it would be absolutely ridiculous for anyone to look at this list and still think spike is some blameless wittle baby who was the victim of a so-called "character assassination."
and you know what else i find funny about seeing red? i see all this sympathy for james marsters, all this outcry for what joss "did" to spike, but i have rarely, if ever, seen anyone direct even a fraction of those emotions towards buffy, much less sarah michelle gellar herself.

I’ll never forgive the people who called me a bigot for saying I don’t feel safe around any male regardless of what they look like or how they may individually face other kinds of oppression, and called me delusional for not being able to “get over” my r*pe enough to allow males who aren’t my direct family into my life. I’d say fuck them but I actually don’t wish violent sex on anyone no matter how much they hate me.

You know misandry isn't a thing because everytime you get into a self proclaimed misandrist account, it's just them being extremely misogynistic to women using men as an excuse.

Can someone else please deal with the person trolling (I hope) in my comments of this post? I can’t deal with the stupidity anymore.
Genuinely bothers me so much when people try and claim that Stolas is a bad father. I would fucking LOVE to have a dad as attentive and caring as him. My dad forgets I exist and we live in the same city and then gaslights me about it. Stolas is always there for Octavia, has he fucked up? Sure. As Loona said, what parent doesn’t? But at least he fucking tries over and over again and doesn’t give up on her.
Unless you have a shitty parent who doesn’t give a shit about you, I guess you won’t understand how good of a dad Stolas is but I think it’s pretty fucking obvious.

been thinking a lot about the original script for season 7 episode 9 “Never Leave Me”.
The scene where Buffy and Spike are talking in the basement and he’s telling her to kill him, the original scripts actually goes a little more onto Buffy and WHY she wont skill him, beyond the soul.
She literally says that she isnt going to kill him because she saw him change BEFORE THE SOUL. that she believed in the man he could be beyond his monster BEFORE HIS SOUL.
They also bring in the attempt r*pe in season 6. Like they kinda talk about it in relation to who she believes he can be and in questioning him. The rest of season seven, if memory serves me correct, they NEVER talk about it. Buffy talks to others about it and its mentioned before but Spike and Buffy never really explicitly talk about it, but in the original script for this episode THEY DID. We get Buffy’s thoughts and a little of her forgiveness AND WHY she forgave him.
Not simply because of his soul, or because he knew it was so wrong that he actually needed the soul, but because she saw he was TRYING to change. Just like she was TRYING all season.
(this is about to become a deep appreciation/analysis for season 6 and 7.)
The entirety of season 6 is about trying. Trying to be better. Trying to be normal and trying to overcome your depression/heal. trying to have control and power. trying not to repeat cycles.
AND in some part failing. Spike tries too hard and ends up hurting the girl. Buffy trying and still it doesn’t feel like enough, trying and failing to get her feet on the ground until the very end of the season. Willow trying to be in control of both the things around her and of her power and failing as she gives in into the darkness. Xander trying to not be his father, not hurt those around him, specifically Anya, and in that attempt he fails and hurts her anyway.
Now, you can come at season 7 for lazy writing or bad villains but im a season 7 apologist and lover (i rewatch it all the time. i love it unapologetically) But it allows for all these characters to heal, to forgive themselves and/or others.
Spike gets to, in some capacity, forgive himself and prove his goodness. Starting the season feeling like the soul changed nothing, was “usless” in a sense because he couldn’t feel it, it couldn’t stop him. And ended the season literally saying “i can feel it” with such fucking amazement cause some part if him thought it wasn’t even there. He became the better version of himself that he wanted to be for Buffy as well.
Buffy was able to forgive Spike (very early in the season if you ask me) and was able to find/heal the softer, more loving part of herself. Was able to open herself up to a romantic interest (Spike). I mean, the look on her face when she tells Spike that he loves him isn’t just love, it’s surprised amazement that she can even feel that. And then at the end of the season, she’s able to be content because she’s got her fire, her passion, her emotions back AS WELL AS her autonomy, in a way, an ability to control her destiny and what she now can do.
Willow gains the proper control over her power, tries to not give into the darkness AND SUCCEEDS. She ends up forgiving herself for everything the year before and comes to terms with her grief, which is a big step in terms of her power and control in herself. She fully harnesses her power in the final to become what can only be described as a being of light, completely contrasting her transformation in the previous season.
Xander this season is full of compassion, protectiveness and kind words. (this is a main overview of Xander’s character. I will not be going into criticisms, just like I didn’t with other characters.) He spends the season breaking the cycle of abuse that he has experienced, he’s apologetic to Anya, he give Dawn his kind words, being protective of Buffy. For the most part he’s not rude to anyone, barely even Spike. He’s put off by him and judgmental/distrusting for obvious reasons but I don’t remember him being outright mean as he was in other seasons, instead, he houses him for a few episodes and, dare I say, bonds with him. Hell I don’t think he even says a lot in the group confrontation with Buffy.
Anyway, this was originally a draft about the original script to the Spuffy scene at the end of “Never Leave Me” and became a big vent/appreciation for all that season 7 does for these characters. There are characters I left out simply because I haven’t read or gathered enough opinion or overview of their character, but feel free to share your thoughts. (please im so bored at work right now)

Hot take but I kinda find it annoying how people try to use Rei to lift up endeavour, What she did to Shoto was awful (and if Shoto never forgave her 100% valid imo) but she was having a breakdown and we immediately see her rush over and try to undo what she did whilst apologising yelling what had she done , Idk but I don't think you can compare that to endeavour purposely beating the shit out of Shoto bcus of some one sided beef (sorry for the rant)
Iam sorry but why is this considered a hot take when it's straight up facts!!!!
People (specifically enji apologists and stans) love to use Rei and what she did to uplift enji. SOME even go as far as to denying a lot of things like enji committing marital r@pe and assault or they love to misinterpret this moment of enji "caring for his child's development" when in my opinion he only cares about making shoto a perfect tool/machine so he wants him to be properly developed as he thinks the actions Rei committed will hinder shoto.
Tumblr media
Yes Rei is a victim but she also did bad things (that horikoshi has made her realise yet he never gave her a redemption/atonement arc and made the focus on enji).
Rei was practically sold she had no autonomy or agency in that household and she had to face a horrible ton of abuse by both her family and her so called husband. However, even with that she tried to protect her children (even if it wasn't enough or she might of done more harm than good) she still tried to intervene even if it meant that she got hurt in the process.
Tumblr media
Heck enji literally abused her to the point she went insane, to the point she felt like she was going insane, to the point she realised that she was going insane and desperately sought and pleaded for help. She felt herself crumbling she literally said it that she couldn't take it anymore (that's not something that happens overnight that's a slow but painful process of things piling up little by little until everything cracks)
Tumblr media
Also, I think there's something so tragic about the fact that the side Rei poured the hot water on shotos face is heat resistant. Shotos scar isn't a heat burn but an ice burn. Shoto's scar wasn't because Rei poured hot water on him but because out of pure panic she chose to use her quirk to ice the burn (icing burns actually makes them worse and can turn it into an ice burn so always make sure to use cold water for burns and not ice!!!).
She screams and cries showing that she still has care for her children. She panics and her panic is what causes his scar. Unlike enji she shows regret, she is a complex character and victim, shows remorse, doesn't seek anything and she still wrote letters to her children even if shoto didn't answer she still cared for him and she regretted all she done the minute it happend (not like enji who took him until he achieved his dream to finally realise that he needs family for his life to be good or some bs)
Tumblr media
alas, we deserved and needed a Rei himura redemption and attornment arc.

i have high empathy for transfems who face often horrific bigotry that i'll never face, and that only some post-transition ofab people have faced, even then only conditionally and not in the exact same way. i have seen someone i love face anti-transfem bigotry and it broke my heart. i want to give a voice to all victims of gncphobic violence and the transfems who actively face misogyny irl have my shoulder to cry on anytime. the transfem experience is complex.
but i have ZERO fucking tolerance for any transfem who believes in the "cotton ceiling" r-pe apologist, predator-enabling rhetoric. and it is hitting the ofab members of the lgbtq community the hardest.
if a fellow ofab/female person believes in that, i'll talk to them, try to reach them. often they end up confessing that they're ofab4ofab too but deeply ashamed, or they'll talk about a predatory encounter they had or how the rhetoric never fully sat right with them but they wanted to be good allies. but for transfems who benefit from shaming ofab people who don't want to fuck them, or sitting by while others like them do that shit, not speaking up, deeply benefiting from a class of people who will grit their teeth and date them despite their clear lack of attraction, or they'll at least feel deep shame and try to conversion therapize themselves into being into both ofab and omab people, hiding their homosexuality (in the og sense of the word) and never truly embracing their culture as homosexual gays, forever ashamed? fuck that. if you're into people regardless of their sex/agab, you don't fucking understand what it's like. if you're not ofab, you're not facing the blunt of the repercussions of this rhetoric. you NEED to use your voice as a transfem to call this shit out. please. and we as ofab people need to completely stop tolerating this behavior.
you can say all day til your face turns blue that no one is forcing anyone to date transfems, but you're still only accepting some forms of gayness and viewing others as close-minded. peer pressure isn't always someone saying "you're a piece of shit for not doing this." it very often is just "well it's okay in your case because xyz, but you should make sure to unlearn transmisogyny and heal your traumas if you have any, and then try to look at transfems while remembering they're real women, it'll help!" which is also a way to brainwash people into feeling deep awful guilt for their wonderfully natural sexuality that has been oppressed for many, many centuries. in this case, inaction is leading to great harm. greater than you think. the stories i have heard are fucking heartbreaking and unacceptable. if transfems speaking up against this can save even one more victim, it'll be incredibly worth it. and beyond that, it'll greatly lower the amount of anti-transfem sentiment in feminist circles (in case you only care if it affects transfem rights, as some have full-on admitted to my face in the past). we need to weed out this bullshit before things escalate into worse and worse situations. you might think it's no big deal. you might not be directly affected by it. you might think that up on your big high horse, you're doing better activism for not wasting your time with ofab people feeling pressured to date. but if you hate predators, if you hate bigotry, there's literally no way around it. this issue keeps worsening in pretty horrifying ways. everybody should be concerned. and it leads to people who feel unheard going down the blackpill route as well, losing all hope in the lgbtq movement. some even end up in rightwing spaces. if you care about gay people, you need to care about ALL gay people. if you care about victims, you need to care about ALL victims. your inaction now has a real body count. all gay sexualities are fantastic and worth celebrating! it doesn't mean trans women can't live as women and date ofab people, passing as a lesbian couple and having lesbian experiences. it just means that you cannot shame someone for having a gayness based on sex/agab. it means you need to learn that not all gay experiences include you, just like how not all transfem experiences include transfem-passing transmasc people. there's creeps around who are using this as an excuse. i have met many, and i have talked to many survivors. they may be a handful in a sea of transfems, but predators need to be fucking exterminated at all costs. you need to speak tf up. now.

The DFF fandom on Twitter has gotten out of control.
Since Saturday, I have been called an abuse apologist, a r*pe apologist, a bully, a child, a shit person, stupid, shortsighted, mean, etc. as well been told to seek therapy.
Why?
Because I like Jin.

“newer” cast and its people who have been here for 3+ years. odd that people want old members in videos when they have no chemistry with anyone and aren’t funny. ntm that one is a r*pe apologist and the other is a homophobic (?) zionist.
They're still the newest cast members. The length they've been there doesn't change that fact. Arasha, Chanse, Angela, and Trevor are still newer than everyone else. Chanse, Angela, and Trevor also haven't been there for 3 years yet.
Courtney, Shayne, Damien (and Spencer and Tommy since they've worked there for 6+ years) are also plenty funny so I don't quite understand that statement.

important 75-related non-fanfic post/psa (tw for sexual abuse/misconduct):
i don't know how many of you have been keeping up with the abrams brothers drama on twt (those two guys who just appear at shows. one of them copied matty's tats, basically) or are aware of the issues surrounding them (r*pe apologists through supporting russell brand, sexual assault/misconduct/harassment, generally just making younger (mostly female/femme presenting) fans feel uncomfortable at shows), but there's a movement that's been started to try and make band management aware of these issues and the fact a lot of fans have both historically and recently made to feel very uncomfortable and unsafe by the abrams' (who are frequently invited backstage to meet the band, fyi) presence and behaviour at shows AND online. if you'd like to get involved, you can email the following addresses and express concern about their behaviour:
[email protected] (oborne's email)
[email protected] (tour manager's email)
more information can be found on twitter if you need. thank you. stay safe, everyone <3

I feel like a lot of people misunderstand me when I say I'm disappointed with the way Aegon was adapted.
Most of those who criticize me (and some Aegon stans who aren't apologists, because get some help seriously) throw every possible excuse there is in the book in order to rid Aegon of any kind of depth or potential for Season 2.
I've been told I can't stomach characters that are downright bad, I've been told I only cling to show!Aegon's only redeeming quality at the moment (namely, TGC) and make it THE reason why Aegon should be liked.
I really don't know why I gotta say this about myself as a preface in order to debunk that second "theory" but I can absolutely assure you that amongst all the people I've crushed on or fell in love with in all my years of life, only two of them were boys and one of them is my current boyfriend. So if anything my fuckable meter as moral compass doesn't work that well with men lmao. Thank you for admitting that this show is so bad that sometimes the only good quality about certain characters are the actors that play them, idk what to tell you.
And on not being able to handle wicked characters, really? I've got a whole blog shitting on HotD writers for a lot of reasons amongst which is the fact that they made Rhaenyra blander than unseasoned potatoes and you came to the conclusion that... I can't handle wicked characters?
I'd really have no problems with Aegon being adapted as the cruel piece of shit he is in the books. You know, the only source material. If we're talking Aegon individually, my only problem with the route they're taking is making it similar to Joffrey. We don't want Joffrey Targaryen, we want Aegon II. (And like it or not, he's so different from Joffrey it's not even funny) The only things these two kids have in common are dying from poison, having a mother who's a lady-turned-queen, having a grandfather who's hand of the king and being selfish pricks.
My problem lies with Rhaenyra. Everyone knows Aegon sucks ass, that was known even before Sara Hess came up with that caricature of cartoonish evilness and tried masking it as gray writing. It's wanting to make Rhaenyra any better that is ridiculous as fuck.
Rhaenyra was just as selfish, self-righteous and dumb as Aegon. Rhaenyra's motives were just as valid as Aegon. They are both sides of the same coin. That's the basics if you want to understand Fire and Blood. Something Sara, Ryan, Miguel and the entire team didn't understand in the slightest. If you want me to take a show about the Dance of the Dragons seriously, you want to make this SIMPLE concept clear as day, which really isn't that hard.
And I'm sorry, but the situation with Dyana, that poor thing, is always angering to watch. Despicable, yes. Unforgivable, yes. I agree. I like it when there are turns in the adaptation of a story as vague as Fire and Blood, but not when that change is made for no reason other than wanting to uplift a character who deserves anything but.
Furthermore, I beg your pardon a second time for wanting the least possible scenes of r*pe or implied r*pe on my screen. Maybe because it's triggering, not necessarily because the r*pist is played by my little meow meow, ever thought of that? If you want your audience to hate a character, put yourself at work. There are so many ways to do that. Taking the easy route (because it was an easy route, argue with the wall) because war crimes aren't enough to make people pounce at a character like rabid dogs is lazy and disrespectful to people who came to see a well developed show. First accept that there aren't saints in F&B, then you can start working.
