In my Rockafire Mainverse, Rolfe's not an Asshole because he was abused as a kid. He was an asshole becuase After he was kicked out, being selfish and deflective was the only way to survive. He learned not to trust others. Pushed others away in fear of being hurt again. Projects issues onto others. He was never taught any other way to live. Distract himself from the pain. He's never had comfort, so he is used to it. His exes were just trying to take advantage of him, and he was bullied in school. He's materialistic because he was technically homeless for most of his adult life.

Billy Bob manages to soften Rolfe, and Rolfe's all like "WTH?!?!" because he's never experienced being in a loving relationship

THinking of this becuase I'm just watching Dhar Mann and it contains my LEAST FAVORITE character style.

High school mean girl that's actually just like that becuase of home issues and made MC's life hell just because she was "Jealous and Insecure"

The softest Harringrove brain worm that’s ever invaded my head where Billy is the sole guardian of his little step-sister Max. (very little, like 6 years old little. And Billy is 25ish, so it’s a big enough age gap where everyone naturally assumes he’s just a single dad.) And Steve is the host of a dorky yet successful kids tv show called Mr H’s Treehouse (think Mr. Rogers) that Max is OBSESSED with.

She makes Billy watch it with her every single evening, like clockwork. Now, Billy would never admit this, not even with a fucking gun to his head—but he kind of starts to look forward to watching it with her. But it isn’t his fault! The host is, pardon his French, fucking hot as shit.

So every night he gets home from work, drops whatever take-out garbage he got for them onto their TV dinner trays, and parks himself in front of the idiot box while Mr. H from Mr. H’s Treehouse comes on and teaches him and Max about the power of friendship and sharing and eating vegetables or whatever the hell else he’s on about that week. It’s stupid, but it kind of becomes cathartic. Like Billy can just shut his brain off and stuff his face and watch the bright colors and listen to the gentle music and let the stresses of his life fade away—at least for that half-hour anyway. The fact that Mr. H has an ass Billy could bounce a quarter off of… well, it doesn’t hurt.

But what happens when there’s a meet and greet/Story-Time being hosted at Max’s elementary school? Well, Billy’s not a complete douchebag, so of course he has to take her! It has nothing to do with the fact that he also maybe wants to meet this tv host who’s all soft sweaters and pretty brown eyes that Billy’s maybe been fantasizing about for the past year and a half. That’s not it! He’s here for his nerdy little twerp step-sister, nothing more.

Very random thought/headcanon about ghost fires burning the colour of what they're feeling, how they died, all the resentment they hold

Most of them are blueish/greenish/cyanish/cold colours at first cause they are very lost and misplaced and confused and don't know who they are or what to do

(ghost fire Qi Rong was green, envy?)

(ghost fire He Xuan was the deep blue he drowned in, the kind of blue that feels like a black hole, a depth with no end, a well dug so deep into the soil it unearths powers and creatures that should've been kept way underground)

Then there's smol ghost fire HC who is Not Lost who knows why he's there for, who he's there for, who burns crimson and yellow and orange cause those are the colours of a hearth fire and it reminds him of Xie Lian's robes when he caught him during the parade and Honger might have never had a warm home in his whole life, but he felt warm and safe in Xie Lian's arms and he wants to give some of that back to him even if as a smol useless cold ghost fire

interesting! i actually havent thought about that but it's a good question since i cant imagine it's been around That long . but 2020 is also somehow more recent than i expected lol. if you find any more info like this i'm always interested to hear!

as for fusing with Morpho, well

let's say the reaper nor Mirza are having a good time. On one side you got Morpho being corrupted by 100% dark matter and having issues moving Mirza's rapidly decomposing body due to the later heavily resisting Morpho's control and on the other you have Mirza feeling very angry at Morpho's cheap attempts at replicating his late wife in his mind just to keep him in an euphoric state to ease assimilation.

I THINK IN HAIKAVEH that Kaveh insists they can build the furniture themselves when they get new stuff and alhaitham insists they can just pay the installation fee and Kaveh takes that suggestion really personally bc he builds for a living so he’s like WHY would we pay someone to do what I am perfectly qualified to do so they do it themselves and alhaitham is so miserable the whole time bc it’s a waste of time that he could have easily saved by paying a fee he could easily afford and now he’s also being bossed around by Kaveh. But he loves him enough to solider through the misery bc it makes Kaveh happy LOL
