A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?): Raiden is more physically affectionate in private than in public or in front of others. However he isn't above holding hands,an arm around yours or your waist. Gentle but respectful praises and soft and knowing glances are what you'll get the most of. It's not that he isn't affectionate or is embarrassed to say i love you. Far from it. He just wants to keep his composure. Especially since i hc he is a hella empath and gets overwhelmed by his emotions sometimes. As a god of thunder and lightning this is especially important. Especially being a protector of earthrealm too. But his most trusted friends and allies. They know. They know the real raiden. Him a softie. He just has to put a front to deal with the bullshit and burdens. Tho he will let you be physically affectionate if that truly is your love language.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?): oh raiden is the bestest friend you could ask for. He is a big bro type. Honestly any relationship may or may not be started by training under him in general or being protected by him specifically. (Which is how my au self insert starts out. She is a warrior mortal chosen by the elder gods to help give raiden aid and grounding.)

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?): raiden is hella cuddly. He loves to hold you from behind with his arms around you. He feels more protective of you this way. His other fave way,is to have you lay on his chest with one arm around you. Either way he's holding onto you.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?): of course raiden does. But only if you are absolutely certain you are comfortable with knowing the fact that he,will indeed,outlive you. (I assume you are mortal. So yeah) but i assumed you already know the drill beforehand anyways. Raiden is fair with chores. But he doesn't usually need to do so as most of it's taken care of before you even think about it. Being a god has benefits. But he still prefers to do it himself.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?): oh honey why? Why would you ever wanna do that?! But if he had to it would be hella formal but you can hear a crack under his voice. Truly only way i can see this truly happening is by death because like hell I'd let it get that bad. But knowing raiden he would probably wanna do it to protect me. But again raiden has his brother and allies to help too. So this wouldn't likely happen. So again only death would separate you. But oooooh boy would it hurt like hell for raiden either way. Also why do you want this to happen again?

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?): ok look raiden WANTS to as soon as love strikes hard at the god of thunder. But he may take a while to get the guts to even get to that point. Because of his fears,his walls,and honestly i feeeeeel raiden deeply on that shit. Being an empath sucks sometimes but it's a gift too. But once he gets over himself. Oh he's in for life. Or as long as yours is that is. Marriage to a god is quite an event. This means you have a choice to either be a muse(a lesser power but more or less a partial of raidens power would be also connected to you. You has long life as well but you are still mortal. Muses can be connected to anyone mortal or gods they kind just follow them around as a retainer. They can travel to any realm and not lose powers but they are stronger in their main realm however) a kami (higher up than a muse. You will be immortal like a god but have heavier responsibilities and a tad less freedom than a muse. But you only have 3 domains at max. And one realm only) or a full God. Or remain mortal. Either way you have a ride or die man ok?

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?): he is somft (tm). Not to say he can't get rough. But he is very gentle with life. Especially yours. He would never try to harm you on purpose. He'd never forgive himself if he did.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?): ok raiden hugs are a blessing. They are comforting af. And also you always feel safe in his arms. He can be a bit reserved at times but overall. He'd let you hug him if that's how you show affection. He won't complain. He actually loves hugs and needs them more often. But he reserves his best hugs for you.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?): it may take a bit. But once you hear it. He means it. Genuinely. From the bottom of his heart. I'd say at most....give him at least a year or two to figure it out. But honestly this depends on y'all. He'll show it before he says it tho. But again hearing raiden say "i love you" or even "aishiteru" . Be still my heart if he ever said that. Like holy shit. He'd have all my uwus.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?): eh he ain't the jealous type. At least lasting jealousy. Like its extremely fleeting. And if anything,its more of beating himself up over it. "Why do they get to see her everyday,meanwhile I'm stick here in the temple?" Type thing. But it's fleeting like i said more just passing thoughts.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?): electric. Lol. Jk,kinda. His kisses are passionate,gentle,full of love and that kind of kiss that is reassuringly sweet. But sometimes....you may get a saucy raiden. This raiden...oh boy lemme tell you. That is something absolutely heavenly. No pause. His fave place to kiss you besides your lips. Is your hand,a chaste kiss on the cheek or a reassuring kiss of respect and love on your forehead. Bonus points if you short. Its so cute. But then again raiden tol af canonlly. Sooooo. Everyone is shorter than the god of thunder n lightning. (My fave place to kiss him is under his chin or a cute quick kiss on the cheek, may blow a kiss too. If it's on the lips,well there may be a steamy storm coming thru. But anywhere is fine by me tbh)

L = Little ones (How are they around children?): raiden loves children. He's a good dad figure tbh. Canon and fanon. Like him dilf material. He is very protective. And also a lot more playful and even childlike himself around young ones. This brings out the raiden that many don't see. It's not that he doesn't show it. He does. It's just he's been through hell and back so much. But to see him like this,it warms your heart. Because this is the true raiden.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?): Raiden usually just has short rests,he don't really sleep like we do. Unless he is in mortal form. Then he is more likely to sleep. But even then,he has a hard time sleeping. However with you by his side,he sleeps or rests a bit more comfortably. But mornings with the thunder god is just sweet. A morning kiss. He makes tea quietly as to not wake you. In fact he often just likes watching you peacefully slumber. Knowing you are safe with him and in a gentle state like this is enough to melt his heart. Overall,a calm morning.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?): As i mentioned he rests more than sleeps,but he loves to have you sit in his lap while he reads old scrolls or tells you storys or tales about liu kangs and kung laos early days or the days where he and fujin were young gods,playing among the clouds. He'll read or talk to you till you fall asleep.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?): well it may take a bit as raiden while he deeply wants to share everything with you. He is cautious about letting people in. He has many enemies and is very protective of those he loves and the realm he protects. But once that ice is broken,and trust is gained. He is absolutely 100% honest with you. No secrets,nothing to hide. (There are exceptions and certain scenarios where he might hide something from you but he'd never ever lie to you. But this has to be something that is important. Or it's to protect you. He actually hates doing this tbh)

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?): Ok let this be a warning. NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EVER PISS OFF THE GOD OF THUNDER! EVER!!!! Do you have a death wish?! He rarely gets that pissed. He has excellent composure. He has the patience of a well...god. However,when he is pissed? Run. RUN FOR YOU LIFE BOIIII! Don't mess with the Thunder God's Wife/Spouse

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?): He remembers pretty well. However sometimes he gets caught up in things. So plz be easy with him. He doesn't mean to tho. But he's pretty observant.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?): Tbh when he first brought you to the sky temple. He loved the look on your face. To him it's not as huge of a deal. But to you. It was everything. And he just wanted to see you smile tbh. Raiden's such a sweetie.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?): very. Not overbearingly so. But in a "don't touch my Wife/Spouse or you are gonna eat lighting bolts for days". He would wrap a hand around your waist and hold you closer. Or hold your hand,especially if you need reassurance. But it only takes a glance from raiden,a tiny flash across his eyes to the other person as a warning. "Don't even think about it" . He would definitely defend your name. I know you'd do the same,we all would. I mean we'll call it like we see it. But honestly,i don't think many people would dare go against the god of thunder like that. Cept maybe shang but he's like that with everyone.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?): he tries to do as best as he can. But more just the simple things matter most to him. And tbh this depends on the individual. But if you are more like me and just want a simple alone time with some nice food and a hot bath type thing. Then he's all for that. But if you need a bit more,raiden will accommodate. Either way he does little things to make you smile. ♡ again sweetest thunder god ever.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?): beats himself up. Raiden plz,it's not your fault. Shit happens. You may have to reassure him a lot. He may be wise,composed,chill,etc. But even he has moments. Gods aren't perfect. And you have to sometimes help him with that in reminding him to breathe and forgive himself. Poor rai.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?): he takes good care of himself. But he isn't vain. A reasonable amount. But if he just is not feelin himself. Then oh boy scruffy,hair tousled and unkempt,this raiden you don't wanna cross. The clouds are exxtra heavy today. Oof. But for the most part,he's chill.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?): well yes but also no? Life would go on. But oh boy would he be depressed af.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.): raiden keeps the small trinkets left to him by children at his shrines. A whole box of them sits in his temple.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?): well besides the obvious things you shouldn't want in a partner. I dunno really. He's a pretty accepting guy. I guess as long as you are patient with him. And take care of yourself for the most part. And all that junk. He's pretty chill. Honestly he doesn't have a "type" he just wants genuine love as any other person.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?): he loves to have a breeze on him when resting. Windows and or doors would be open when sleeping. If you get cold however,he will get more blankets or cuddle closer. He will only shut them during the winter months. As to not bring snow into the temple. Lol.

Bi Han didn’t really recognize the tradition, until you. To him, it was just another day, as most holidays—life in the Lin Kuei was much different than the one outside of it. So when you showered him with affection and adorned him with gifts unexpectedly, it kind of flustered him underneath that poker-faced and grumpy exterior of his. Bi Han gives you flowers (real and ones of ice), and the occasional silver jewelry every other year. It makes him subtly smile under his mask when he sees you wearing it.

It’s Johnny Cage’s second favorite day of the year, other than his birthday. If he remembers this day, he absolutely spoils you rotten to the core with gifts; flowers, chocolates, new clothes, rose petals in the bed and in a dimly lit bath (and if you drink, your favorite wine), the whole nine yards. It’s cliche, but Johnny Cage doesn’t let you leave until you’re completely loved up.

Kenshi takes a breather from all his outside work on this day to love on you. You wake up to an empty bed, but that’s because he’s cooking breakfast (or lunch) for you—he’s exceptional at it, and you both thoroughly enjoy your day with each other. Kenshi prefers spending Valentine’s day inside, but if you want to go out, he’ll take you anywhere you want to go and buy you whatever you want. Of course, you do the same and he is very happy, even if he doesn’t explicitly say so.

Kuai Liang already has his gifts laid out for you. He planned in advance; duty calls and he wouldn’t be able to spend the morning or so with you in his warm embrace, so that he could greet you as soon as you woke and smother you with hot kisses. Kuai Liang leaves a heartwarming letter, and when he comes back from his day, gives you an even warmer massage to kick things off a bit. Whatever happens next is completely up to you.

Kung Lao already knows you love him, but it’s nice to be reminded of that with your affection. In turn, he takes you out to a fancy (and surprisingly private) dinner in an unsung corner of Madam Bo’s shop (or some other fancy place), somewhere where you could see the stars in the night sky. He loves to look at the way your eyes gleam in the moonlight, and he says so outright amongst other loads of compliments. Kung Lao makes sure to make you laugh a ton tonight.

Raiden looks like a hopeless romantic today even though he's in a relationship with you. He plans almost months in advance; the flowers he planted were kept all year and were finally going to be harvested just to give you. Raiden makes an effort to give you everything you want, take you anywhere you want. You’re sure to return the favor at the end of the day with your own presents, whatever they may be.

Tomas spends the night before and the entire day of practically clinging to your side. You’ve never had a weighted blanket until now, and you both could’ve spent the entire day in bed if you’d let him have you that way (he’s already asked Kuai Liang for the day off). Tomas leaves the bed once you do, and when he comes back, he comes back with gifts. He got the flowers last because he wanted them to be as fresh as possible.

+ Liu Kang leaves a humble setup of a table full of gifts for you. He’s also the one to leave a sappy note of apology and not-all-that empty (but not all that full) promises to you, to return just before the night was over after his duty at the temple were done with. Although he believes he doesn’t need a holiday to want you the inexplicable way he does, he understands the holiday and humors you when he sees how much it makes you hot in the face for him.

However,

Don’t you dare take the jewelry off after Bi Han got you pressed into the mattress. With every tear into you, his eyes don’t just train on your damp fucked-out face twisted in overstimulation from him ruining your hole over and over again tonight. ✦ headcanons w/ liu kang, kung lao, raiden, lin kuei brothers, johnny cage, kenshi takahashi, shang tsung, havik, & syzoth

a/n: My brain was thinking really hard on how they'd actually be in a haunted maze and this is the best I came up for the first half! Part 2 will include the mk women too!!!

Liu Kang ➤ He finds the attraction somewhat amusing. However he does not find it scary. Being a god has trained him to become wise and undeterred to such things, but he does enjoy your company and how you push him from behind so he could lead. It even boost his ego a little, feeling your hands cling to him with a small smile on his face.

Kung Lao ➤ He talked a big game, claiming that he'd protect you and that you can cling to him. However, deep down inside he is actually afraid. Will he show it or admit it? Probably not, but his hand does clench whenever a scare actor jumps out. When you guys reach the end, he puffs out his chest. "See babe? Wasn't scary at all."

Liar.

Raiden ➤ He was pushed to the front and admitted he was a bit nervous. He does get scared, but is extremely nice about it. Saying things like "Woah, you really got me there!" or "That costume is really. . .realistic." And he's okay with people clinging to him, he feels better knowing that you can be safe around him. Raiden is a sweet boy so he really enjoys the concept of Halloween, he finds it very fun and a great way to hang out with others.

Bi-Han ➤ He is. . . unamused. His face is grumpy throughout the whole thing and when people try to scare him, he just kind of stares with a raised brow. He charges through the maze without an ounce of fear, dragging you behind him because he wants to get this whole thing over with.

"Did you have fun?" You ask him.

"No."

Kuai Liang ➤ Like a father who finds it fun, but isn't really scared by it. He'd laugh in amusement every time someone jumps out and he has an arm protectively around you. He's heard of Halloween before, but never really experienced it in his younger days, so truthfully, he liked it when you dragged him along to the event. Of course, you did it only to use him as a shield, but Kuai Liang was okay with it.

"Are these truly supposed to scare people?" He'd ask, grinning at you.

Tomas Vrbada ➤ Took some convincing to get him to even go in. He tried his best to make excuses because yes, he was afraid, but more of Bi-Han's opinion. However, Kuai Liang told him it was okay and to have fun. So it resulted in the two of you both clinging to each other throughout the whole thing, screams leaving your throats every time something happened. Even though Tomas was scared shitless, he enjoyed the absolute thrill it gave him. He never got the chance to enjoy the simple pleasures of just being scared and having fun so he loved it in the end.

Johnny Cage ➤ "You go in first." He says.

"No, you go in first."

"You're being a pussy."

"Says you."

You and him ended up going in at the same time faking confidence and ended up clinging to each other in fear. You guys screamed the loudest screams you've ever scrumpt (Ik this is not a real word) and even ended up trying to push open a pull door. The scare actors were very entertained by you two to say the least.

Kenshi Takahashi ➤ He can't see, but was happy to be there as you helped him walk through the maze. He did get spooked by the random sound effects and louds screams they did so being blind didn't make him miss out on the maze entirely.

In the beginning though, he thought it was childish, saying "Really? You want me of all people to go in with you?" But he had fun nonetheless. He didn't outright say it though because he did not want to seem soft.

Shang Tsung ➤ He thought it was a waste of time, childish, and stupid. Did he go in though? Reluctantly, he did. He would get scared, but would be irritated by it. Huffing like the sassy man he is and rolling his eyes every time they managed to spook him.

"That was ridiculous, but the contraptions in there did give me some great inspiration."

. . .yeah, please don't ever show him the "Saw" films.

Havik ➤ An absolute menace. He laughs every time they try and scare him and sometimes he screams back just to see if he can spook them too. Most of the time he does because he not only screams, but tears off his limbs to terrify them even more.

"Earthrealmers are scared so easily." He chuckles in the most villain way possible.

Loves it because all he can hear are the screams of people and the decorations were pure chaos. Although he is a little upset that they aren't real. Why can't you just use real human corpses and skeletons? They're easy to get. . . to him at least.

Syzoth ➤ He was always very aware of his surroundings so don't blame him if he's a bit defensive the entire time. You had to reassure him that they wouldn't actually attack him and even if did understand, he'd still remained cautious. Even so, the maze did manage to spook him several times. Eventually, he eased into the concept of the holiday and began to enjoy himself. It was also a perfect place for him to be in his natural form, everyone complimenting him on his "costume". It made the zaterran happy as he gazed at the decorations in curiosity and awe.

usually he pursues people that he highly respects. you don’t have to do something exceptional, but having passion for your own beliefs is what he values in a person and especially in a partner. also it would be admirable if you were interested in his own goals and aspirations, after all raiden’s prospective has changed much once the events in outworld has passed.

raiden is humble…but he likes showing off to you—not exactly out of place of smugness but he enjoys when you are impressed at his talents. he smiles so brightly whenever you compliment him on his achievements or on his hard work in general. it’s probably one of his top motivation besides him genuinely enjoy what he’s doing.

if you two ever got the chance to go back to fengjian his first goal would to introduce you to his family, he has to be a mama’s boy. he cares deeply for his family and he wants you to feel included in that circle. besides visiting them, he’s taking you to see the sites and old hang out spots. leading you along by holding your hand keeping you close (I love him he’s so sweet ugh). it means everything that you’re willing to listen to his childhood stories and just with him in general to visit his hometown.

Bi-Han is older, but Kuai Liang is just barely taller, so whenever Bi-Han pulled the ‘I’m older card, Kuai Liang would pull the ‘I’m taller’ card (also despite being taller no one mistakes Bi-Han as the younger)….. Tomas is also taller than Bi han (just bc it would piss him off)

Wu Shi boys when Johnny speaks filipino

Kenshi would make an effort to learn filipino after hearing Johnny speak it for the first time. He was probably telling Kenshi about something that happened while filming and he was talking shit about someone he didn’t like working with. Kenshi learned the language but he’s not that fluent. I like to imagine Johnny speaks filipino when he wants to insult someone under his breath and get away with it, so when Kenshi understood what Johnny was saying, he was caught off-guard. (Johnny has a dirty mouth)

Kung Lao’s the typa guy who vocalizes his confusion often. He knows Kenshi learned filipino to be able to understand Johnny, so he’s the one asking him to translate. Half the time, Kenshi refuses, though. During the Wu Shi arc, Johnny mumbled an insult directed to one of the instructors and Lao heard him. That definitely happened.

Raiden doesn’t ask. He pretends not to be as confused as his other friends but he is. He’ll stand there and nod like “Oh yeah, I get it! (I didn’t understand a single word).” Raiden’s like my englishera headass when someone talks to me in filipino and uses a word I don’t hear often :’)

A relationship with liu kang is a sweet one, he's the type who would never be afraid to hold your hand in public. Although before an established relationship, would get annoyed with "ooo you like them" comments from others, which yeah he likes you but also "shut up they're not my bf/gf" until he gets over himself and just goes "yeah and?"

Liu kang would give meaningful gifts, something he knows you would like but also use. But obsesses a little bit over it being your "favorite color"

Mr Hollywood himself takes absolute pride and joy in your relationship, Johnny may be a funny cocky man but he is 100% loyal to a fault and will go above and beyond for you. No price is too high for his sweetheart, the financial kind or the life risking kind. And contrary to what some might think, Johnny prefers more privacy between you two bc paparazzi is a bitch and a half, but also his love is something thats for you and nothing to prove to anyone else.

Johnny gives all the "klassic" romantic gifts, flowers, chocolates, teddy bears dressed up as scorpion. The amount of cheese this man gives off when it comes to love is astounding, but Johnny is just too charming to completely say "no" to when he's trying to woo you.

Despite the glamour and dramatic cinematic esque romance, Johnny would literally die for you no questions asked "Kombat ready" or not. But if you can kick some ass he wouldn't mind being "damsel in distress" for a moment even if it might hurt his pride a little (who knows, Johnny might find it kinda hot)

Raiden

Raiden's affection for you in private vs public is like night and day, but one thing no one can deny, you make him so much happier. He's more reserved in public but he's not going to deny you a kiss to the hand or a flirty, playful wink that's so quick you might miss it. But in private he's so much more relaxed around you, expect like, a lot of kisses and cuddling. Raiden might be a little touch starved, but even then he always asks for consent even if you already agreed to it before. He's also sassy as hell (raiden absolutely has personality and a sense of humor and just bc nrs forgot doesn't mean I did too)

Raiden is more of an "acts of service" type than a gift giver. But if he does give a gift it's either practical like clothing or maybe a little treat, or something very sentimental like a protective charm, something to give you peace of mind and to remind you he's always there for you even if not physically.

Raiden is definitely making sure you can handle yourself to some degree however capable you can be. If you are very willing to be "kombat ready" be prepared for some pretty intense training, but raiden is fair and won't push you unnecessarily anymore than you can handle

Scorpion/hanzo hasashi

Baby is so fucking protective of you its no joke, has the energy of a big looming dog if someone so much as look at you the wrong way. Very circumstantial with showing affection publicly, only comfortable when it's around people he knows wouldn't lay a finger on you. In private he is the biggest sweetheart, very very touchy and cuddly, and not afraid to show just how much he loves you and how much you mean everything to him.

Hanzo isn't much for gift giving, rather doing things for you more than anything. However he gives small but very thoughtful gifts, be it your favorite treat or a beautiful piece of jewelry that you once eyed like a week ago. He sees the little things that you like and takes note to give it to you, especially if it makes you smile, your smile gives him life.

Do i even need to tell you how devoted this man is? The man literally went through all manners of literal hell for his family before, the same applies to you. Only this time he will be better to not let rage blind him, should the worst happen. But by the elder gods whoever hurt you will pay dearly

Sub-zero/Bi-han

Like hanzo, very devoted and passionate but less intense about it. It's cheesy as hell but you warm his heart, he might not like being overly affectionate with you on the account someone might "attack his soft spot" but regardless he still loves you no matter what, his actions will always say otherwise even if he's being "cold"

He's traditional with the gifts, flowers, hand written notes, and on rarer occasions he might give you a frozen treat. His letters however is where he can pour his heart out comfortably, where verbal words fail him, written poetry tells you just how soft you make him

Bi-han might be distant with you, at least to outsiders. But you know better, you know he'd do anything for you when it comes down to it. Perhaps even challenge his other loyalties if it comes to it

Sonya blade

Sonya is a bit awkward with affection, she's not the touchy feely type but she does love to sneak kisses when no one is looking or paying attention. She does love and care for you but she shows it a bit differently

Acts of service all the way, sonya would rather do something for you or with you. Not really the material type at all, but not to say she wouldn't give practical gifts like clothes or an item you would use often. However sonya would give you flowers on a very special occasion, sunflowers. Roses are usually the "klassic" but she thinks sunflowers are prettier anyways

Sonya cares so much she absolutely would die and kill for you. She'd probably also make sure you're "kombat ready" too, as much as you can as she knows she won't always be there to protect you, but by fuckin elder gods she'll try anyways

Kano

Kano is a stinky bastard, the obvious being said, it's no secret you're his soft spot. And kano makes sure to dial up the "big macho man tough guy" to 11, just to make sure no one even thinks about using you against him. Which may include kano being mean to you in public on purpose to keep up certain reputations. But in private? Like a whole new man, he's rough around the edges but he genuinely tries to be considerate. Super touchy and handsy, there's no inch of you he hasn't laid his hands on and thats not even in a raunchy way, he just likes holding you.

Kano is definitely the type to get you anything you want, but mostly gives you some nice (totally stolen black market) jewelry. You can have literally anything as long as you don't ask where kano got it (bc the answer is always something illegal probably)

Kano will never give you up without a fight and by elder gods he's gonna put up a fight because no one is gonna touch you except him. And perhaps fighting because of you he has some shred of honor. Although he wouldn't mind you defending yourself at all, hell that makes his life a lot easier

Shang tsung

Shang tsung isn't afraid to show affection, however in public it feels more like a display of "look at my pretty little toy" than something closer to a legit relationship, but that's only because shang knows better than to ever let anyone know the truth that you have his heart and soul. In private he is sensual, he's intense, passionate and all consuming. Shang is very vocal about showing his love to you in private and he will always remind you that not only your soul belongs to him, but his belongs to you. A rare gift you shouldn't take lightly.

Speaking of gifts, they are the most extravagant and expensive things. But shang pays attention, he knows exactly what you want when you want before you even know what it is that you want. Basically shang tsung's gifts are flawless and he will settle for nothing less.

Shang tsung may not seem like it to others (for obvious reasons) but he would quite literally raise hell if anything bad were to happen to you to a point he'd put his own ambitions on hold if it ment you'd be safe. Everyone is shocked to see syzoth take a lover, but for syzoth this is very much a big deal. Therefore he protects you fiercely, the one person to show him not only the respect he deserves, but also kindness. His race never truly had this sort of show of affection, they were lizard folk so they're detached from those sorts of bonds. However this doesn't mean syzoth can't feel love, he actually loves how warm you are. And as such will cuddle you to a point you might get annoyed bc good luck trying to get this big lizard off of you.

Food is a big gift you're gonna get, it's going to be a lot of raw meat so definitely tell him what you actually can and like to eat. Syzoth tries his best to give you things he thinks you'll like, so if you don't actually tell him what you like he'll give you shiny things and flowers (that are mostly weeds)

Syzoth absolutely defends you to the death and no one is gonna keep a limb if they dare hurt you. Although you might have to watch out bc syzoth might attack anyone else around even if they weren't involved in hurting you. You'll have to calm him down

Goro is the type to pick you up and go "look at my lover they are amazing" if the shokan prince takes a lover he's gonna show them off like a prize. But make no mistake he loves you and someone's gonna have to have some balls to disrespect you in front of goro.

Goro will make sure you have everything you ever need or want, although he's not much of the spoiling type, he might just make an exception if you bat your eyes at him and "put on your charm" so to speak. Depending on his mood goro might give you something no problem, but he might be either cheeky or moody and you'll probably have to literally fight him for that so, don't even try if you know you can't beat him in a fight.

It's a bad idea to hurt goro's beloved so rest assured that goro is gonna tear the limbs clean off whoever so much as dare threatens your life. And then proceed to beat them to death with their own limbs with one pair of arms, while holding you close with the other

In most cases when it comes to mentioning what you do or did he’s overtly casual about it, uber humble if he doesn’t mention it at all. If you were to start to put yourself back out there, this feat would only strengthen.

As a fighter, Raiden is constantly doting on you. He doesn’t let up even when you prove to him you can defend yourself. You try to be just as much caring, but sometimes he can make you feel like it’s not enough. He makes sure to remind you that whatever you do, he’s grateful.

Kung Lao actually tried to set you up with Johnny Cage, but at the slightest hint of him starting to feeling funny/differently about it he stopped. He thought you two would hit it off because of your similar pasts, plus it’s some fun when the group is lying low. He started to show out for you in order to undo what he’s done (if it were even working), and when he got you to confess to him he totally wasn’t running laps around the academy.

Kung Lao starts to spar and/or train with you more than anyone else. Sure, he and Raiden still spar, but you are quickly becoming his ultimate partner. He tries to get you into some sort of weaponry if you’re not already. When it comes to physically fighting an enemy, he loves to beat them with you.

Even as a washed up star Kung Lao still would have a sense of pride from being with you. Not because you’re some washed up star but because he’s scored such an amazing, beautiful, good and talented person like you. He genuinely cherishes you. But if anyone asks, he’ll tell them what you do first, before your name. If you’re more orientated on fixing your career, he gives you advice (even if he’s not qualified).

Kenshi instantly might not have wanted anything to do with you at first, I think. He didn’t necessarily avoid you, but he kept it simple and classy with you. Yeah, you’re cute and you may not have been all that famous anymore, but there had to be someone who checked for you every then and again. To him, being seen with you made you both targets. But when he realized that you could fight, something changed.

You were sort of out of his league and Kenshi knew that. It took Johnny, of all people, to help him out. Johnny knew bits and pieces of you, but when he saw that Kenshi was dead serious, he straightened up. He even looked you up for him so that they could research together, that way Kenshi could have something to talk about with you the next time you saw each other.

He doesn’t say it, but Kenshi loves the sound of your voice. Pre and post-incident, but moreso post-incident. He lets it guide him anywhere; to the bedroom, to sleep, anywhere, to do anything. You seem to notice his reliance on your voice even with sento and it flatters you incredibly. You make sure to use it as much as possible.

And god forbid you get a sore throat or lose your voice around Kenshi. He’s not letting you out of reach, and any doubts of his ability to cook [post-incident] are disproven that same day. He manually heals you back to health. Even when you’re sure you can still be a competent fighter, Kenshi insists that you rest. He’ll be back before you know it.

hanzo wont often ask for help kuai liang will notice when he needs help and will usually ask first but knows hanzo wont admit to it and will find ways to help him out without causing a fuss

gumpy kiddo will sit next to him and pout until the other takes the hint and gives him a hug doesnt really like cuddles but is okay with hugs or being held for a short time

"hanzo dont do it...noo..." something proceeds to light on fire and be put out with cold "thats it, time out, little one" "no!"

its a fight to get him to settle down he's easier to handle and tuck in for a nap or sleep after he's tired himself out kuai liang will find things to direct his energy towards to keep him busy until he tires or gets burnt out so he can cool down with a nap (pun intended)

its hard to find little gear he wont burn when he gets upset a make shift bottle or sippy cup is just a metal waterbottle. plastic will melt and wood will char, so metal things are about the only material that can withstand his outbursts.

after being grumpy and angry, hes really sweet and helpful at the end of the day hanzo wants to help kuai liang as a thank you for helpng him too he feels bad after he gets upset, so he wants to be helpful and do something nice and be a good kiddo to make up for it.

Part 1; MK Music HCs These have been haunting me for a while so enjoy!

Note: All these characters listed are MK11 versions, although I might make another one of these for MK1 later. Characters included are Johnny, Sonya, Jax, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Raiden, and Kenshi. I will be posting other parts, this one was just getting reeeally long.

Johnny

He listens to a mix of 2010’s pop music and sad dad rock. You’ll hear him go from California Girls(Katy Perry) to Headstrong(TRAPT) to The Diary Of Jane(Breaking Benjamin) right back to Party In The USA(Miley Cyrus) and he will have no visible whiplash whatsoever. 

I think he’ll listen to whatever’s on as long as it sounds good, but he generally sticks to the aforementioned genres.

Sonya

She’s a Dolly Parton fan at heart, but she thinks it’s embarrassing and would rather be shot point blank than have anyone else find out. She doesn’t strike me as someone who would listen to much music in public, unless she needed to ignore outside noise to focus- in which case she would blare Breakcore music.

Jax

I don’t think he listens to music too much, but I can see him listening to club music to try and hype himself up. I think he would also enjoy a bit of classic rock(think Nirvana or Oasis), but probably wouldn’t seek it out other than changing the radio station. He seems like the guy who would rather let the radio play whatever for background noise than actually create a whole playlist.

Not technically music but it still kinda counts, I think he would listen to those ASMR videos where they pretend to do your hair or makeup- He has no urge to get his hair or makeup done but he finds them relaxing when he’s struggling to sleep.

Kenshi

He doesn’t like listening to music much, it distracts his senses and somewhat disorients him. The only time he really listens to music is when someone else is listening to it nearby. He won’t really complain, but he doesn’t care too much about it. He really dislikes heavy metal, above any other genre, although it's only because they tend to mess with his senses in a way he isn't comfortable with.

Liu Kang

He won't complain about any music that’s playing, but he only really listens to music on his own when he needs to focus. He’s partial to Vivaldi when it comes to classical music, but isn’t really picky when it comes to what he’s listening to as long as it aids him in focus.

Out of all the music that’s been played for him, he’s more drawn to music that has a sort of ‘hopeful in the face of hopelessness’ feeling to it. Songs similar to Let Go(Frou Frou) would probably be the type of music he prefers. He has a personal hatred against math rock, but he refuses to share it with anyone because he has no reason to dislike it other than thinking the time signatures are stupid.

Kung Lao

He also won’t openly complain about whatever music is playing, but he tends to gravitate towards a strange mix of sappy love songs and deceitfully cheerful suicidal songs. This Charming Man(The Smiths) and Vampire Empire(Big Thief) are definitely on his playlist, but I think he would also listen to Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Third Eye Blind, maybe even some Hollywood Undead if he was in a certain mood.

I don’t see him liking classical music too much, but he thinks the 1812 Overture is cool because of the canons. Tchaikovsky is the only classical music composer he respects.

Raiden

He pretends to not like modern music, staring off into the distance disapprovingly whenever Johnny tries to show him some of his music. I think he secretly likes 90s club music, but refuses to admit this to anyone. Unlike Sonya, he doesn’t even indulge in this he just balls it up inside because he thinks it’s ‘unbefitting’ of a god.
