Hey, time to overanalyze magic again. It makes sense to me -- follow closely now -- that earthbending would just be the control of rocks. It's all the minerals that come from the ground, and sure, even some artificially created ones as long as they have the same structure. But just rocks. Not dirt.
Why not, you ask? I invite you to consider what dirt actually is. It's lots of things! Some rock dust, yes, but also crumbled plants, and decomposed animals, and a variety of fungus, and bits of poop from creatures both microscopic and large. Basically, it's a mess of all things organic (plus tiny rocks).
You don't want an earthbender for dirt.
You want a necromancer.

I wish people talked more about headmates that act out the trauma the system has been through. I wish people acknowledged more often that we exist. And I hope that anybody reading this who does that in their system knows that your role in it doesn't make you unlovable if you don't want to be.

I’ve been playing a lot of small indie games and god I wish the rest of the game industry understood that the whole point of farming and grinding is so that in some point of the journey the player can go HAHAHA I PLANNED FOR THIS and pull off crazy crap earlier than they should be able to. Like Teenage Exocolonist letting me just walk past all the checks when I’m outside the colony and go to the boss immediately because I farmed the fuck out of my perception skill should technically be game ruining but it’s not. I planned for this so I could get the ascension ending easily while simultaneously putting the rest of my effort into figuring out as much about engineering as possible at the same time so I can pull off a full shield run. Having advantages in certain contexts should allow me to interact with it in a way that opens an entirely new path for me to take. Poisoning the campfire survivors at the very beginning of my Inscryption run lets me take a route where I focus on building up the cards I already have instead of hunting down new ones. Advantages are good!! Grinding so you’re high enough level to beat one boss only for the rest of the game to balance itself by making everything else many levels higher than you once again is unrewarding. If your player cannot face your game from multiple angles then maybe it’s not that worth exploring. If your player over relies on an ability they spent a long time working up and they’ve made the game too easy make it so that steers them into a new situation where they have to innovate on their strategy to get things going again. Just hand me a game like Inscryption where I farm the whole game with fecundity decks and then get to Kaycee’s Mod and realize I have to relearn the whole game from a completely new perspective now that I can’t rely on that anymore. If it’s just a matter of “the numbers are too high we have to turn all the other numbers up too” then do the numbers really mean anything anymore or are you just keeping me stuck in a role where I’m saying to myself “once I have the advantage I’ll be able to explore so many new things” but then never letting me have any advantage until near the end when the world has lost its charm because everything is just a damn numbers game.

Yesterday i saw a comment where someone said that d//$m//-p alters aren't real because systems have to be truamagenic....which, my support of endos aside- we're a truamagenic system and I'm still here. Being truamagenic doesn't even stop those alters from forming. They argued however, that these things were mutually exclusive, because only endogenics would have those alters because they'd have to "literally be a baby" to split...
.....DESPITE the fact that people with DID/OSDD can split alters way, way later in their lives than the first initial split. The first one is caused by childhood trauma, but they can and do continue depending on circumstances and the system in question, as well as other traumas that happen later since ur brain is ALREADY plural.
Something you gotta remember- and that this blatantly reminded me of- is that people usually form the prejudice FIRST and then find evidence/arguments to support it. This is why forwarding studies or taking apart arguments doesn't work esp when someone is trying to exclude someone else- they're "protecting" themselves from the people they don't like and using any means to do it. They've already made the decision not to include them because they don't like them, and they are finding resources they can use to do that. It's not about evidence, so really you just have to distance yourself from it and remember that there isn't a fight here- it's not worth jumping into battle when they simply aren't going to listen.
You deserve better than that. Just keep moving.

One day maybe I’ll do commissions. I think that would be nice. People seem to like my art.

Alt!Jonah, why do you and the other “counterparts” look so different and animal-like? It’s so fascinating to me.
We’re from the darkness, from the shadows. Familiar shapes at first until you look closer.
Is that your childhood rocking horse in the corner? No, that’s Brutus. It is always hungry.
Is that your toy pull-along alligator on the floor? No, that’s Adamned. He is becoming impatient.
Is that your old toy marionette slumped over against the wall? No, that’s the Actor. It is just pretending.
Is that your best friend Jonah, waving at you through the window, beckoning you closer, giving you the hope he was still alive after all that went wrong?
No. It’s just me. And I’m waiting for you.
-Alt!Jonah⚠️
(“general” you, btw. i like to be mysterious.)

🤬🤬🤬 God i hate the transphobic healthcare system in my country.
So first my trans friend was misgendered at a psych ward few months back which only traumatized him even more rather than actually helped him.
And now he now had to go to a hospital because he has this medical problem that happens to people with ovaries
and so he's at a gynaecology ward but because he's a man they don't want to put him into a room with other women, and so they're putting him in a special private room, but they say he has to pay for this private room even though it's not his decision but theirs. It's such bullshit!!
