Okay okay im gonna go crazy here- im gonna put this down so that I can have something to refer to for future me

Ive decided to go through Scott's past Rat vods and apparently ive gotten a gist of what's happening and im gonna be using my past theories here.

r!Scott mentioned that the reason why he decided to flee from his family was due to people deciding to demolish the farm his family lives in. r!Scott didn't give any details on how, or even why they decided to demolish it, but.. I think I now know why

r!Scott mentioned too that the same spores that spread through the boiler room killed his aunts too within 2 days. If the theory of r!Scott being the one that spread the spore round the farm is true, then him fleeing would make sense other than the whole demolishing part.

He was either casted out as punishment, or decided to flee on his own out of REALLY extreme guilt, which would make the most sense considering the whole "I always mess up" line he often says.

This would make sense too on why he has such an emotional attachment to r!Owen since r!Scott sees him as family ever since the incident and why he had his whole isolation arc of him accidentally shooting Owen with a single thumbtack. he's literally nervous of losing another really close friend that he considers as family, and that makes it extremely sad.

Something deep in my gut dislikes the birds in a cage lore drop, aka the bird girls being former and maybe continuing to be lab rats of the federation.

Something about the lore seems... wrong. It feels like we seen a cut scene out of order or something. I just don't like this lore.

Also I seriously hope they are getting rid of the egg lore bit, not because I hate it. It's just the players and the mods are actively fucking over their sleep schedules and health and potentially the intended story, the egg part wasn't supposed to last as long as it did. My theory to as why:

The eggs WERE supposed to die in some specific event much earlier on but because they didn't discover that particular plot hook or whatever would trigger the event it got pushed off. Because of this, the eggs stuck around.

Because thanks to a leak we know there are eight sectors to this world. I'm guessing one is properly the heart of the federation but maybe one is dedicated to the other regular Minecraft realms as they seemingly aren't allowed to those dimensions proper aka the End and Nether without special access. But thing is we've spent nearly a SINGULAR YEAR on LAYER ONE ALONE. Technically it's over half a year now, but soon it'll march again. And the first year anniversary WILL be upon us and...

We wouldnt have gotten far in the story... at all. It's been half a year and we are stuck on the eggs.

Maybe my dislike of the experiment lab rat bird sisters is because of how it was added because they are realizing shit we need to move things along, there's no way we are spending 8-10 years in this server.

i personally think they went forwards w/ their scheduled lore plans, just with the eggs attached? Yeah, the elections were put off a bit but that was because of creators schedules not lining up well. and Quackity did say he wanted this to be a long-form SMP, but we can only guess how long it's supposed to go lol.

If we can't believe it all, then what parts of Oli's story do you think really happened?

Generally things that other rats can testify to (largely Shelby) or come up often I think are more likely to be true. Also things said out of character like his age being 30 and his dad drowning when he was 13.

He has a terrible diet largely consisting of garbage (used to refuse healthy food) leading to various health issues

He was in NYC and Paris (both Shelby and Oli have memories together there). Interestingly enough, Shelby has never mentioned being in Sheffield, but maybe she just wasn't living with him when their dad died?

Their parents and some other family members are dead. His dad drowned. His mom probably did die to some form of disease. At least one uncle is dead.

He assumes anyone he loses contact with is dead, probably due to how many people in his family died when he was a kid (at the very least his parents). However, I don't believe that every family member he mentions dying necessarily is dead nor if they even existed. While I know Shelby's memory is also really bad due to trauma, the fact that she didn't remember their brothers existing could also be a sign that maybe they didn't exist. It's tough to say with confidence either way.

He knew a rat named Remy while in Paris (both Shelby and Oli remember him). However, I think there are just lots of rats named Remy and that's why nearly everyone in Rats SMP seems to know the "same" Parisian rat.

His father raised the family in the trash on the streets and Oli did spend at least some amount of time trying to live a finer life before changing his mind

He knows how to read and write. We see him do it all the time. I'm not sure if he's just lying about it in character or if character Oli just thinks he can't read despite reading often but he definitely can read and write.

He is bad with not only numbers, but time

He is short due to malnourishment growing up

Medium Confidence:

His dad probably was a drunk and his mom probably was somewhat abusive towards him. I haven't heard Shelby say anything about their parents

"Ol" probably is a childhood nickname

He has read/seen/listened to Of Mice and Men; Attack on Titan; Hamilton; The Titanic; and Flushed Away

His tail is short due to being gnawed on

Shubble and Oli are twins (if you ask me they both forgot who is older and sort of came to this as a middle ground)

Low Confidence

Almost everything related to going to school. While he can read & write there are way too many contradictions in what happened at school (including it sometimes being a college). Actually I don't think he has a single consistent story about school. Maybe he was enrolled and never went or maybe he just thought it was normal for kids to go to school and thinks he must have too.

Him having a wife. If he really had a dead wife I feel like she'd come up more often

Bonus

I've seen theories in Oli's chat saying he killed at least one of his family members as he's been responsible for killing 2 rats already. Especially after the Apo murder in which his excuse was a lot like the story he told of one of his dead uncles. I think it's plausible but would probably place it in Low Confidence as there's not really any evidence.

I normally don’t like to play with to many head canons and theories but I have been thinking about the deadly blue mushrooms in Rats smp. Work is annoying some days ok?

Anyways, what if they aren’t normally deadly? So like... they are just the warp mushies from the nether in normal minecraft right? What if that means they normally would grow in very very very dry and hot places, like a desert? Maybe they are dried out fully and used sparingly in medicines.

People from other places learned about it’s use in medicine and they bought some home to try to grow it them selves but.... when it has to much water near by it turns toxic and spreads like fire. The more water is has nearby the more toxic it becomes!!

So yeah.... that means putting one in the broken boiler room was the worse place for it and also would explain why it spread like it did in that room.

Granted this could be totally wrong as I really only really watch Scott’s pov as I don’t really have time. I live in the land of VODS when it comes to these live smp type deals. I will miss details.

Hi! My name is Katyon (she/her), you can call me Katy for short. I mostly am here to post fanart to delude myself into thinking I'm a real artist and some rambling I'm trying to pass of as ''analysis'' and ''theories''. trying to talk about anything involving timelines and characters’ histories with each other on the smp is the big rock that we all try to desperately roll up a hill until one of the ccs opens their mouths again, and wilbur and fundy are Particularly the worst rat bastards when it comes to this

but,,,, for just a moment I wanna picture something here

lets take some details here: - fundy was Apparently born in l’manberg despite, Everything. even if you use the theory that he grows Very quickly fundy was On the smp Before l’manberg was created. this could translate to fundy being born on the Land that would become l’manberg during wilbur’s travels there. - tommy was an orphan (who may or may not have been created in a lab) who canonically thought of wilbur as an older brother and who, according to ghostbur, was named By wilbur. - wilbur trying to make his character 40 is a, somewhat understandable attempt to iron out the thing with fundy being an adult without magic fox aging powers, but it ultimately creates more problems than it solves. fundy was still canonically born when l’manberg was created (and all the problems that causes fsjdkl) and wilbur having a brother relationship with a 16 year old as a 40 year old who he is Not related to is just kinda, Odd. maybe not on tommy’s end but you’d think wilbur would be more inclined to see tommy as more like a Son than a brother when he’s more than twice his age. so..... - sally Already had a child when wilbur fell in love with her, who he adopted when something, uh, Happened to her (we will Not acknowledge canon implied vore). wilbur as a young adult raising his son and running into feral little tommyinnit who doesn’t have a name and doesn’t remember his parents and slowly pulling him into his little family.
