🌺Monthly Wrap-Up🌺 QOTD: How was your reading month? AOTD: So, I've read 3 books (working on my 4th) and I enjoyed both of them thoroughly. I am also going to do something a little different and add a mini review! ~Read~ With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo - 4 stars Prom & Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg - 3.75 stars I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella - 4 stars ~In Progress~ Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas ~Mini Review~⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Malachi was just an amazing guy. I really liked how she was close (or sorta close) with her abuela. But she can be a little intense. One thing that did annoy me was the fact that abuela was spelled 'buela. I don't know why. Maybe because my slang is abue??? Who knows, I mainly say abuela anyways. I really don't care for Tyrone. He's a spoiled little man child that needs to grow up. I don't like his mom either. Which I mean, are we really supposed to? I am so glad that everything worked out and the ending! I had so many emotions at the end! Also, all the food. 🌷 JULY WRAP-UP 🌷 July has been a weird reading month. It started with “I want to read all the books” to… “I can’t read more than 10 pages before getting bored” 🤣(might have been The Goldfinch putting me into a book hangover, most likely) • 🔸 Heir of Novron by Michael J. Sullivan. Last book in the Riyria Revelations series and it was perfect. Everything fell into place and yes, it destroyed me a little bit but it also made me really happy. 🔸 Scythe by Neal Shusterman. Very interesting and enjoyable start of a series. I wrote a full review here on insta if you’re interested. 🔸 The Goldfinch by Danna Tartt. This book <333 I also wrote a full review on one of my posts. 🔸 Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo. I had a rocky start with this one because I couldn’t connect with the characters and I felt very detached from the story but the more I read, the more invested I became. It was an infuriating, shocking, frustrating and heartbreaking read. I’ll post a full review soon. 🔸 The Surface Breaks by Louise O’ Neill. This was an easy and enjoyable read but it was flawed. The most powerful aspect was the ending but it felt extremely rushed and I wish it had been longer. I would love a sequel. • How was your reading month? °•° My June bestfriends °•° . I started to read the series all over again. I... I can't stop fall in love with these characters again and again and again... It's almost a torture! 😅 . I feel Caphalor's pain every single time and it's... absolutely, beautifully, heartbreaking. I love that part. Maybe more than anything. . 🇬🇧 FEBRUARY WRAP-UP: - Avempartha. (Not pictured) Second book in volume 1 of the Riyria Revelations. I was surprised by it. Kept me entertained & I’m planning on continuing with the series. - Call Me By Your Name. I did a full review of this one. It was very melancholic, sad and incredibly explicit but it’s a worth read. The movie is fantastic. - The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Oh, Anne, maybe one day you’ll get a spot alongside your two sisters because you deserve it. Anne doesn’t deliver a perfect book but touches some heavy and quite ahead of her time topics. - As You Like It & A Midsummer Night’s Dream (not pictured). Read for my dissertation. I enjoyed the latter a whole lot more. - The Twistrose Key (not pictured). First DNF of 2018. Wasn’t feeling it 💁🏻‍♀️ - Un mal nombre. Second book in the Neapolitan novels. Was a bit disappointed with the beginning but the second half of the book was quite good although the thing that makes the story go forward is quite predictable. - Career of Evil. I enjoyed it but I was also angry with it. • 🇪🇸 ÚLTIMAS LECTURAS | FEBRERO 2018 - Avempartha. Me sorprendió bastante y seguiré con la serie de las Riyria Revelations. - Call Me By Your Name. Me gustó. Es melancólico, triste y explícito. La película la recomiendo mucho. - The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. No es un libro perfecto pero trata temas importantes. Ojalá Anne tuviera el mismo reconocimiento que sus hermanas. Se lo merece. - Como gustéis y Sueño de una noche de verano. Para el TFG. El segundo me parece mucho mejor que el primero. - The Twistrose Key. Ni lo acabé, me pareció un rollo patatero 💁🏻‍♀️ - Un mal nombre. La primera mitad del libro es pesado con ganas y luego pasa algo (muy predecible por cierto) que hace que la historia avance y menos mal porque si no no lo acabo. - Career of Evil.
