Tumblr media
You’ve had the worst few months of your life. What started out as a simple cough became more painful throughout the weeks. Each cough as though your lungs were torn from your chest, no air to keep you breathing. Night sweats became drowning; difficulty swallowing became not eating at all.
‘You have pleural mesothelioma, Miss Blanchard.’ The words the doctor uttered still so freshly imprinted on your mind. He continued moving his lips but nothing but inaudible muffles penetrated your ears as the sound of your own heartbeat filled your empty void.
Several nights after your diagnosis you woke up. The air drained from your lungs as fluid started to build up between your lungs and chest wall. The sensation of drowning without water in sight. It was a nightmare. Your body turning on you, ready to take you away despite the care you took to look after it.
Following those events you were pulled out of school, your parents worried sick as their daughter was at risk for involuntary death any minute of any day. The feeling of loneliness only increasing as you spent most days alone in your room; on the chair at your therapist's office; or the dining table chair, eyes piercing through you as you tried to make conversation about anything else but your cancer.
‘Do you need help cutting the chicken?’, ‘Need more water?’, ‘Leave the dishes, sweetheart. Your dad and I’ll get to them.’
Your cancer not only took your life but your maturity, letting people treat you like a damsel in distress, needing help with everything when you wish you could just forget everything bad for one day and live as normally as you could, one day at a time.
‘I’m going back to school,’ you said, placing your cutlery down on the dinner mat, staring onto your plate as you could hear the chewing of rubbery green beans stop.
Your mother grabbed her glass of wine, clearing her throat and washing it down all at once. Your father stared at your mother as she tried to find words that reflected her wish to protect you and to keep you as comfortable as possible.
‘I’m sorry, darling, you said you wanted to go back to school?’
‘Yes.’
‘Can I ask what brought this sudden request.’ She neatly folded her ageing hands underneath her chin, her eyes resting on you as your father’s eyes jumped from frame to frame, unsure what to say.
‘I just want to live as normal as possible,’ you let out a sigh, ‘I miss my friends, I miss having to do stuff, I miss…I can’t believe I’m saying this,’ you chuckled, feeling heat rush through your face. ‘I miss homework. School assignments, presentations, stuff I hated before but made me normal. A normal girl living a boring life. I’m missing my chance at a full life just because of this cancer I’m sure will rob me even further as time passes. I need to be able to feel like I belong somewhere despite…all this.’
Their eyes stayed focused on you, soft eyebrows trying to interpret what you needed the most in a time where everything slowly started to deteriorate.
‘Have you thought about what your school life would be like now, Y/n?’ Your father engulfed your hands, his thumb rubbing circles as he often did. ‘You would need to carry around an oxygen tank in case of an emergency. You complained every day that the school day was hard and now it will be three times that of before. I understand where you're coming from but I need you to know what decision you are making…Your mother and I only want what’s best for you and if that is going back to school so be it. But we will have to make sure you are okay at all times.’
‘I really do want to go back…’
‘Are you sure?’
‘Yes.’
‘Fine,’ your mother took your other free hand. ‘You can go back to school. But promise us that when things get hard that you will tell us and may have to take a step back from school again.’
‘I promise.’ You smiled at them, squeezing their hands tight. ‘I will accept my limits when they come.’
Tumblr media
The very next week you stood back on the familiar ground of Mystic Falls High; home to the timberwolves. The bell you dreaded every morning , rather wanting to exchange gossip with Elena and Caroline. However that particular morning you have never felt more excited to walk through the halls. Hallways you haven’t seen in a few months. Faces of fellow students.
Walking through the door you noticed a heap of pitiful glances, welcome backs, get well soons and prayers. It wasn't unusual for everyone to know what had happened to you, Mystic Falls was a small town after all. Their words of condolences were sweet. You cherished them. But when you live on limited time, burned out hope and terminal cancer with a survival rate of 9.6%, it was hard to pretend like you would get better when their words could easily be uttered to a person that simply caught the common cold. Nothing could fix you. The only thing you had were fifteen months to make sure to drain every last drop of experiences life has to offer. No prayers, no words of the world could help—only medicine could. And even that was a shot in the dark. Caroline had offered her vampire blood to you on more than one occasion, but you were convinced that it wouldn’t help so you declined it over and over again, continuing to deny the chance at a normal life that you craved more than anything.
Heading towards your locker, you placed your emergency oxygen tank inside, the dust of month’s absences piling on old books you had left behind the day the cough became too unbearable.
Closing the door you made your way to your first class of the day; history taught by Mr. Saltzman. Bracing yourself to walk into a room full of eyes, you noticed that the classroom was empty for the exception of a girl. She was beautiful. The type of beautiful you would see beyond your day, wondering whether or not you would see them again. She had light hair, almost as white as her skin that bore freckles across the apples of her cheeks and nose that stuck between pages of a book that let her long black lashes show. Full lips pursed, knitted eyebrows framing her face.
‘I’m sorry,’ you felt rude for interrupting her obvious devotion to studying. ‘Is this history with Mr. Saltzman?’
‘Yes.’ She answered boorishly, eyes stuck on the pages, rushing her words as she paid no attention to you.
‘Where is everyone?’ God you were embarrassed to disrupt her again.
‘How would I know?’ She sighed, finally looking up. Her blue eyes locking with yours as you appreciated her beauty, wishing you looked like her. To be so flawless.
‘Oh, I’m sorry—I just—ehm, it’s kind of my first day back in a few months and the lack of students is making me doubt if I am in fact in the right room…’
‘No, this is the correct room,’ she stopped looking at her notes, her crystal eyes glued to your face as you continued to study her details. ‘So you went here before then?’
‘Yes.’
‘Why did you stop?’
‘Got sick.’ You pressed your lips together, sliding your hands into the back pockets of your jeans that clung to your thighs.
‘What sickness?’ She asked with a genuine look of interest, almost as if it were her first time encountering a sick person. Lucky her.
‘Cancer.’
‘Ohh,’ she puckered up her lips, squinting at you, her words confusingly sounding concerned and uninterested. ‘That sucks.’
‘Yeah,’ you breathed, the continuous standing started to make itself known as your shoulders started to feel lighter. ‘It sucks.’
‘Well you are free to sit next to me. I don’t tend to be liked by most.’ Her pearly teeth peaked between dark roseish lips. ‘I’m Rebekah by the way,’
‘Y/n,’ you smiled back. ‘Nice to meet you.’
Walking over to sit down next to her, the sudden sound of familiar voices washed over you as Caroline and Elena came through the entrance, their eyes widening as soon as they saw you standing back in the classroom that had felt your absence the past months.
‘Y/n, oh my god!’ They almost shouted in union as they sprinted to hug you tight, their arms merging into your back as you reunited with your friends. No hospital visits or phone calls, just friends seeing each other in school like you always have.
‘Come sit with us!’ Caroline dragged you towards the front of the room, your eyes turning back to Rebekah who had observed your encounter with the girls, her eyes smiling back at you, her spark diminished as you parted from her.
In your next class you saw Rebekah again.
Again sitting alone at the dissecting table and when you made up your mind to sit next to her, Rebekah noticing your upcoming footsteps, Elena and Caroline barged through the door like they had before. Pulling you towards the opposite end of where she was sitting, her seat staying vacant as her eyes continued to find you throughout the lesson.
‘Rebekah, wait!’ You called after her, the last sound of the bell signalling the end of the school day.
Rebekah turned around, her blonde hair framing her face. Strands of hair blowing across her face, caught amongst her lashes. The sun reflecting on her skin.
‘About your offer to sit next to you,’ you lifted your arm to block the blazing sun. ‘I would like it if you held that spot for me tomorrow. If you still want me to sit next to you…’
‘Sure, it’s not like it’ll be occupied anytime soon. It’s yours to take.’
‘Okay then…’
‘I’ll see you tomorrow, Y/n, okay?’
‘Sure, yeah totally,’ you cleared your throat as you mentally prepared for the criticism you were about to hold above your head. ‘See you tomorrow.’
Rebekah gave you a last smile, ‘Bye.’
‘Bye,’ you whispered, her feet already taking off towards the other side of your way home, leaving behind a manipulative smell of vanilla and macadamia nut, that you swore was the nicest fragrance you had smelled in a long time.
Tumblr media
The next day you came walking back through the class again, finding Rebekah by herself at her assigned spot, her hand swiftly moving across her page.
‘Good morning, Y/n.’ She greeted, her eyes never leaving her paper.
‘How could you tell it was me?’
‘I smelled your strawberry perfume before you even entered the room,’ she finally lifted her head to reveal her face.
‘Do you like it?’ What is wrong with me?????
‘I do.’ Nevermind.
‘You don’t mind if I keep my word, right?’ You eyes up the chair next to her, waiting for her response, silently hoping that no one would barge in to seat you away from her.
‘Feel free to use all the space you need.’
You chuckled, letting your feet carry you to the table next to her, her familiar scent back in your memory as you took out your school supplies, feeling her gaze on you.
‘So,’ you turned your head to her body already turned towards you. ‘Are you new here? I haven’t seen you before?’
‘Yeah, I am. I moved here a couple of weeks ago. My brother has been here for a month now and I wanted a change of scenery.’ She let out a breath. ‘There’s only so much of New Orleans you can take.’
‘New Orleans? That is very different from Mystic Falls…’ You raised your eyebrows with a grin, your armpit resting over the back of the chair, legs crossed, turned towards her. ‘Do you like it here?’
‘So far I do…’ Rebekah glanced at you, a shimmer of light swimming amongst her pale eyes.
‘That’s good…’ You stared back because it was the only thing you could do.
Her hand reached for your hair, taking a strand of it and twirling it around her index finger, gently laying the curls heated with her body temperature on your shoulder, ‘You have really nice hair.’
‘Thank you,’ you felt a rush of heat make its way to your cheeks, your stomach starting to feel queasy as you let her words repeat in your mind. ‘I love your— well actually everything about you is really beautiful.’
‘You are too kind.’
‘I wouldn’t lie.’
‘I know you’re not.’
‘Good…’ Your eyes couldn’t part from her, her face burned into the back of your mind, still wanting to stare at her as long as you could. Her smile bringing warmth to you.
‘I wouldn’t lie either,’ she repeated.
‘Good.’
The teacher came in, disturbing the awful long eye contact, both cleared by loud coughs, Rebekah and your eyes settling to the front of the class; no more looks being exchanged for the rest of the lesson, though you fought the urge to catch a glimpse.
‘Do you have anything planned today?’ Rebekah and you walk out of the building, the school day coming to an end as grey clouds started to gather above you.
‘No, I don’t think so.’
‘Would you like to come over to mine?’ She turned her face to you. ‘We could watch a movie, bake something, I don’t know. Do something typical for a teenage girl.’
Typical for a teenage girl. Normalcy. She treated you normally. Never once mentioning the fact you were sick or if you were okay with it. She treated you like an equal.
‘I would love to.’ You replied, feeling glad that a person could forget about everything shitty in your life and talk to you like you were just like them.
Rebekah drove you to her home, finding out that she had a rather large heep in possession. The kind of car you’d take to the beach on an early summer morning; running towards the cold water as sand stuck to your naked skin. Rebekah was a good driver, unlike your father that made you glad that you had health insurance…
Seemingly arriving at her house, a big mansion greeted you. Surrounded by trees, a long driveway leading to the mansion’s entrance.
‘This is your house?’ You asked, eyes glued onto the building, imagini how many room it must’ve had. How many square feet it covered.
‘Yes.’
‘It’s so nice.’
‘I know,’ she chuckled, unbuckling her seatbelt. ‘I have to admit that my brother does have great taste when it comes to architecture. Suppose it’s his only good trait.
‘You have a brother?’
‘Too many…’
You let out a laugh, you too unbuckled your seatbelt to step out of her car, feeling so small as you walked towards the door. The interior of the house was just as beautiful. Simple yet classy Rebekah threw her keys onto one of the dressers that stood by the door and told you to follow her, your head turning left and right, mesmerised by everything you took in.
‘Rebekah.’ You suddenly heard a male voice call from behind you. He had a nice accent just like she did.
‘What, Nik?’ She didn’t sound too happy to see him.
‘Aren’t you going to introduce me?’
‘This is Y/n from school. Don’t eat her, she has cancer.’
You listened to her with a quizzical look on your face, looking at her as she mirrored your expression.
‘What?’ She asked.
‘Vampire?’ You asked.
‘Yeah.’
‘Hmm,’
‘You don’t seem surprised…’
‘I have lived in Mystic Falls all my life,’ you let out a jestful breath. ‘Nothing surprises me anymore.’
‘Well,’ his voice made you turn your back on Rebekah, his tone full of pride and confidence, ‘welcome to my humble abode.’
‘Humble is a great word to describe all of this,’ you grinned, looking at the room once more. ‘But it is really nice. You have good taste.’
‘I know I do. Best get going then,’ he pointed towards Rebekah whose facial expressions couldn’t have made it clearer that she wanted to get away from him.
‘Nice to meet you.’
‘You too.’
You paced towards Rebekah who told you to follow her, different hallways leading towards a really nice kitchen.
She grabbed all the ingredients that you thought was going to make a cake and watched as her eyes crinkled, so focused on finding everything that you needed.
‘Are we making a cake?’
‘We are,’ she snuck a quick grin, her head pack in the cabinet searching for a baking tin.
‘What type of cake?’
‘Well,’ she resurfaced, placing the tin on the counter, her cheeks lightly flushed. ‘I kind of asked Elena what your favourite cake was and she said your favourite was a lemon cake, so we are going to make that. Unless she lied…’
‘No, no,’ you tried hiding a grin, fingers picking at your palm. ‘It is my favourite.’
‘Good.’ Rebekah exclaimed, almost throwing the flour at you. ‘You'll do dry and I’ll do the wets.’
Continuing to make the cake, Rebekah was whisking the cake batter enthusiastically, dancing along to Stacy’s Mom that blasted through the stereo. Carelessly throwing her limbs up and down, swaying her head with the biggest grin you had ever seen…She was so beautiful
‘Oh,’ Rebekah gasped, your mouth widening in shocked as wet drops of batter landed on your face, Rebekah accidentally swinging the wrong arm to the rhythm.
You let out a giggle, trying to swipe away the batter but it was no ise. Every stroke just spreading it more evenly across your face. ‘Shit.’
‘Here I got it,’ she set aside the bowl and came closer, placing her thumb on your cheek, getting the batter on her finger, her eyes momentarily longing on you. She retracted her thumb and licked off the excess, eyes never breaking contact.
You stared at her for what felt like forever, captivated by her face; her eyes, her lips, all whispering to you that you should come closer. You leaned in, your heart beating so powerfully you ought to stop, exhaustion that came with the sickness. But you didn’t. Neither did she. Her breath ricocheted off your cheeks, her glimmering eyes infatuating yours as you could feel your lips take the lead but before your skins touched, a loud opening of the door made you jump back, looking back at what had caused you to separate.
‘What do you want, Elijah?’ Rebekah asked forcefully, the older man’s eyes glimpsing at both you and her
‘Do I need to want something walking around in my house?’
You observed the two, their banter making it clear that he too must be one of the ‘too many’ brothers she had talked about.
Feeling queasy, you quickly said goodbye to Rebekah and Elijah, telling them you weren’t feeling too well, a perk when being the teenager with cancer. Everyone at all times will believe it.
You had to get away from Rebekah. She was clouding your mind and falling for a girl wasn’t supposed to happen. You’ve been with a guy or two and those feelings you felt when you were around them, you recognised as the image of her resurrected itself in your mind. You liked her, but you couldn’t like her. At least not right now.
Tumblr media
‘I’m home!’ You called into the house, the smell of grilled eel filtering through the air: your favourite.
‘We’re in the kitchen!’
You placed your backpack next to the stairs, ready to take them to your room once you were done with dinner. Entering the kitchen you saw your mother plate the last of the cut up eel pieces onto the plate, placing it on the table with some salads and rice. Your father stood by the kitchen aisle making some mocktails from his newly purchased mocktail cookbook thing you got him recently.
After dinner you went up to your room, putting the oxygen tube on your face as today’s exhaustion came running to you. Thinking back on the moments that increased your heartbeat.
‘Honey, are you okay?’ You heard your father’s footsteps approaching your room, leaning against the door frame.
‘Yeah,’ you nodded, glancing at your oxygen tank. ‘Hard day. Have to catch my breath. Literally.’
He chuckled, coming in to hug you. ‘Just make sure to tell us once you’ve reached your limit, okay? I know you like to act tough and pretend that you can still keep up but you need to have a reality check. You’re not the same as before and that’s okay. No one is trying to put you in a box. You just need to accept that certain limits cannot be reached anymore…’
‘Yeah I know, dad. I know. It’s just hard having to turn my back on my past life.
Tumblr media
The next few weeks Rebekah and you pretended like the moment back at her house didn’t happen. Continuing to sit next to each other in class, meeting at each other’s houses or going out in town.
It was easier ignoring the moment than trying to talk about it because if you were being honest, what would you even say? You liked her as a friend. Nothing more. You’ve known her for less than a month so how could your heart possibly flutter at the thought of her touch on your skin.
Then you were invited to the Mikaelson ball, a card delivered to your doorstep. On the back Rebekah’s writing said, to meet her there to clear stuff up.
So when Friday came, you managed to find a dress and head towards the mansion you had previously entered before. Only this time you were hooked to oxygen after a water build up episode that caused your lungs to fill with water.
Arriving at the mansion you were greeted by servants who took your coat, without looking, wanting to grab your tank thinking it was luggage. ‘I’ll be needing this…’
‘Hi.’
You turned around, already knowing whose soft voice it belonged to.
‘Hi.’
‘You look gorgeous.’ She awed in amazement.
‘You too.’
‘Are you okay?’
‘Oh, yeah,’ you noticed her lingering stare on your tank. ‘Lungs filled with water. Nothing crazy.’
‘We need to talk. I’m sorry.’
‘No I’m sorry.’ You said.
‘For what.?’
Compelled in the moment you pulled the last of your confidence together and stepped closer to Rebekah, who looked unsure of what you were about to do. ‘For this.’ You placed your lips on Rebekah’s, gently kissing her lips as a thousand thoughts filled your mind, all screaming to stop, but you didn’t want to.
Rebekah’s hand found your face as she deepened the kiss, careful not to tangle the oxygen tube.
You’ve never felt this way before. You thought Rebekah was just the type of pretty you wanted to be, not knowing that she was just someone you wanted to be with. And with dying time there wasn’t another person you would rather kiss other than her.
The start of a short love story; the dead and dying.

Hello, can you do a one shot where the reader befriends Klaus just to get close to Rebecca, who actively accepts her advances and much moooooore over time?
Tumblr media
No getting rid of me now
Becoming Klaus’ friend was a hassle enough.
He was paranoid and narcissistic.
However as soon as he trusted me, it was far too easy to see her every day.
He was constantly needing my opinions, my judgement on his plans and situations. And she was often there, just being an extra pair of eyes, throwing in her judgement every now and then and laughing something I said.
It didn’t take too long to become friends with Rebekah, her inviting me on shopping trips or spa days. Of course the best days were when she wanted to go lingerie shopping and needed my opinion.
———————————————————————
She did a little turn before putting her hands on her hips. The floral jade-green set hugging her figure tightly.
My tongue darted to to wet my lips as I did her a once over.
“What d’ya think?” She asked, her bright eyes shining back at me
I blinked at her a few times, my mouth failing to form words making me nod enthusiastically with a blush covering my face. She smiled widely and turned around to look in the mirror, her ass in display for my greedy eyes making me let out a breath and stand up.
“You think so? I mean it’s a little small, don’t you think?” She asked, her hands grasping her own breasts through the undergarments and pushing them together.
I bit my tongue before clearing my throat
“I think it’s meant to be a little…tight” I murmured before moving infront of her and adjusting the material over her breasts. When I looked back to her eyes they were dark, her lips parted and her cheeks pinker, contrasting with the shade of her lingerie, I could only hope that I was the only one receiving that look.
———————————————————————
Klaus picked up on my little obsession crush on his sister and found it rather amusing.
He often pointed out things he knew she would appreciate me getting her
“If anyones going to be with my sister, I don’t mind it being you love”
And once Klaus was on board it was much easier to get her.
Rebekah’s the kind of girl who thrives on the chase, she wants to be a prize to be won. She wants to prove she’s my first choice and I was all the more glad to show her.
Gifts were simple, even though she had everything already, any clothing or jewellery I got for her became her favourite thing to wear.
Stocking her up on her favourite perfume earned me and squeal and a kiss of the cheek.
Something as simple as aa sugar ring donut would have her launching into my arms.
The Mikaelsons as a family were rather touch starved, I had already learnt that as part of being Klaus’s now best friend. Whenever something awful had happened, despite his screaming and yelling for me to get out of his house, all he really wanted was a hug.
Rebekah was no different, bad day? Come here, we’ll snuggle and watch movies.
Someone said something mean? Okay we’ll go shopping just give me a second while i send an address to Klaus
She was like a cuddly cat, always wanted to be on me, touching me, wanted help with her hair or her dresses.
Especially when it was a special occasion, like a ball or a gala.
She needed me every step of the way.
And more often or not, while i would be zipping up her dress, I would find my lips sucking soon to be healed marks into her skin. Her head back to give me more access while she brought my hand round to her chest.
And throughout the ball, her eyes were always on me and mine on her.
But I made sure not to ask her to dance, she had to do that bit. I wanted her to come to me.
Klaus said it was always most amusing when she would come to him aimlessly panicking that I would say no and he’d have to literally push her into me so she’d have to say something.
And the night after I had finally gotten her in my bed, fingers deep inside her while I sucked on her tits and she yelled my name, Klaus simply gave me a smirk and a childish high five as an official welcome to the family.
There was no getting rid of me now I had her.

Mikaelsons x sister!reader - the light is you
Tumblr media
The Mikealsons x sister reader. FLUFF. :) love you - Anon💜
The entirety of the supernatural world knew of the originals. Dangerous. Unforgiving. They know of the Mikaelson siblings.
What they didn’t know was that there was another sibling.
But you weren’t like the others.
Yes you were a vampire. But you had never turned off your humanity, you’d never killed a human, and when you fed from one you always fed them your blood and compelled them to forget.
You were different.
Gentle.
And that’s why the siblings worried for you.
They tried their best to look out for you, especially Klaus. He saw the way the world was and he didn’t want it to turn you into what it had turned him into.
Anywhere you went he had to go.
So when you asked to go to the grill, he tagged along behind you. As much as he didn’t want to go, he wasn’t going to let you got there alone.
“Don’t wonder to far.” Klaus whispered.
“I won’t! Elijah and Rebekah are coming soon too.” You beamed.
With that, you wondered away towards the pool table where Jeremy was playing pool with Tyler and Matt.
You’d become friends with them after you decided to go to high school out of boredom. And of course your brothers and sister were totally against it. But since no one knew about you, and no one knows your a vampire you were safe.
“Hey (Y/N).” Jeremy smiled.
“Hey guys, where are the others?” You asked.
“Not sure, they said they’d be here by now.” Matt shrugged.
You hummed and nodded, pulling up a nearby chair to just sit and watch how the game played out along with Tyler who had just lost.
“Want a drink?” Tyler asked.
“Yeah please. Get me whatever.”
“Sure thing.” He smiled.
He wondered away and you carried on watching.
When he came back he gave you a drink and pulled up a chair next to you, and you guys started talking.
Slowly the others started trickling in.
Every time the door went you would naturally look over. Klaus and Elijah were talking in one booth, and Rebekah had somehow roped Caroline, Bonnie and Elena into a conversation.
You could heard that Salvatore brothers whispering to Alaric about something, but not wanting to intrude you didn’t listen in properly.
Instead you cheered Jeremy on as he was playing against Tyler again, and he had nearly won the game.
Standing up, you walked over and stood in front of the table, clasping your hands behind you back.
“You were bragging so hard earlier.” You smirked.
“I can still win.” He said.
You looked over the table and shook your head.
“You’d need one hell of a miracle.” You laughed.
“Oh shut up.” He snapped.
You turned your head a rose a brow at him.
“Relax it’s just a joke Tyler.”
“Well it’s distracting so shut up and go away!” He growled.
You took a step back, walking straight into someone.
Looking up, you found Klaus right behind you and he placed a hand on your shoulder. Elijah stood just in front of you and Rebekah to your side.
“What’re your doing here?” Damon growled as he walked over.
Now you stood in front of your friends, surrounded by your siblings.
“Let her go Klaus.” Alaric warned.
“Not while your little pet is getting angry with her.” He growled.
“You threaten our beloved sister, you deal with us. Simple as.” Elijah shrugged.
“Sister?!” Caroline yelled.
You sighed and nodded your head, placing your hand on Klaus’ you gave it a gentle squeeze and removed it from your shoulder.
Gently nudging Elijah to the side, you stood in front of him.
“Yes. I am the youngest of the Mikaelson siblings. (Y/N) Mikaelson. But please, don’t be angry with me! I just wanted a normal life. I wanted friends, to do things like a normal teenager.”
You gave them all a weak smile.
“But if you don’t want to talk to me anymore I understand, I’ll leave.”
They all stared at you.
“Get out…” Bonnie whispered.
You didn’t need to be told twice. You simply nodded your head and left.
You never went to school after that, you stayed at the apartment.
Your siblings saw how upset you were, and finally it was Rebekah who decided to try and help you first after thinking long a hard.
“Come on, let’s go.” She said.
“Where?” You asked.
Rebekah walked up and pulled you from the bed, taking your hand she started to drag you downstairs.
“Bekah!” You whined.
“Just come!” She laughed.
Taking you outside she, she dragged you into the car and started driving.
She didn’t answer when you asked her again and again where she was dragging you off to.
Finally she pulled up in front of the school, and you sighed.
“Bekah please, I want to go home.”
“Just trust me.” She smiled.
You followed her out of the car, and she started to lead you through the school halls until she took you into the gym.
Inside was everyone, including your two brothers who smiled brightly and walked over to you.
“(Y/N).” Elijah smiled.
“Hey ‘lijah.” You smiled.
Hugging him lightly, you pulled away to look at Klaus who held his arms open.
Walking over, you happily padded into his arms, and sighed softly as you hugged him back.
“They wish to talk to you, but we’ll be right here.” He whispered.
You nodded your head and pulled away from him, and you walked around, heading over to stand in front of him.
“We did try call.” Elena smiled.
You blinked, then smiled sheepishly.
“I… lost my phone…”
“Again?” Matt asked.
“Yeah…”
They laughed softly and you laughed a little as well.
“Look, we’re not fully convinced on the whole trusting you thing.” Damon said.
“Damon!” Alaric hissed.
“It’s okay, I understand.” You nodded.
“But, you really haven’t done anything to hurt us. You’re a good friend, and we don’t really want to loose you.” Bonnie smiled.
You smiled brightly.
“Really?!”
“Yeah! You’re our best friend!” Caroline laughed.
“Exactly, and without your hyper self with us it’s been boring (Y/N).” Jeremy smiled.
You grinned and jogged over, throwing yourself into his arms. He laughed and held you tightly and spun you around.
They didn’t trust your siblings.
But they trusted you, and they loved you. They didn’t want to throw all of the away because of a feud with your siblings.
Seeing you so happy, Klaus couldn’t help but smile.
Yes, he has plans. Things he wanted to do. But seeing you smiling like that, he couldn’t bring himself to go through with them.
He couldn’t hurt your friends, because he’d hurt you and that’s just something he would never do.
“You have to promise not to do anything stupid.” Elijah whispered to him.
Klaus nodded his head.
“For now. However if they do much as make her cry, I will end them.” He growled.
No one was every going to take your soul from you, not while they had a day because you were still a bright light. And they needed you to guide them out of the darkness that surrounded them

New Orleans
Tumblr media
(Eventual) Elijah Mikaelson x Reader
Your first day in New Orleans you quite literally run into a certain blonde who decides she wants to be friends. Who are you to argue?
How exactly had you decided on New Orleans again? Oh yeah, a new start. You needed it after the last few years. Maybe you could even find a legit job to help pass time between hunts.
You had the address of one of Garth's contacts that was willing to rent you a furnished apartment just outside the french quarter, no questions asked as long as she got her rent every month. You knew you'd need basics like bedding, towels and such so you decided to check in there first to get your keys and a full list of what you'd need then go shopping.
Tumblr media
You were juggling a few bags, holding everything from sheets to a single serve coffee maker. You were already regretting moving somewhere that it made more sense to walk than to drive because the trunk of your nova would certainly come in handy. You needed to stop and grab something to eat considering you hadn't eaten since the diner you'd stopped at the night before.
You picked a cafe that looked interesting enough and had a small enough line. You ordered a simple sandwich and lemonade and had intentions of heading out to the patio to eat but when you pushed the door open to head out you ran full bodily into a blonde woman. “Oh crap! I am so sorry!” You reached out to try to steady her but she had a slight smile on her face “No harm done” her accent got your attention considering it wasn't the usual twang of Louisiana.
You felt the tattoo on your shoulder twinge a bit and studied the blonde for a moment but brushed it off “I promise to watch where I'm going from here on out” she nodded towards your bags “Tourist?” You shook your head “actually i just moved here” she extended her hand “I'm Rebekah Mikaelson” you had to catch yourself to make sure your expression didn't show your true reaction to her name.
Leave it to you to literally run into one of the original vampires. You'd heard they'd vacated New Orleans, was your information bad or had they just done a loop back? You shook her hand and told her your name. She cut her eyes down to where your lemonade had spilled all over the sidewalk “Allow me to buy you another drink? After all I'd hate to seem unwelcoming to someone new to town”
You felt the slight pull of compulsion and breathed a sigh of relief knowing the warding in your tattoo hadn't been a waste. She raised an eyebrow at you and it took everything you had to not let a nervous laugh out, you had no beef with her family and didn't need any.
“It's no problem” you assured her but she was already opening the door to the cafe and ushering you inside “Oh I insist. I have a feeling the two of us are going to become good friends” “Ok then” you agreed with a small smile. Why the hell had you picked New Orleans?
—----------
You sat across from Rebekah listening as she spoke of her family and their ties to the city you now resided in. After a moment she smiled again then leaned forward to where only you could hear what she said “I've got to ask though. What are you?”
Your eyes widened slightly “Excuse me?” Laughter bubbled out of her “When I told you my name you flinched, I couldn't compel you. You're not a vampire because there isn't a single ring on your finger. Werewolf is also no because you're sitting across from me. I'd wager witch but that doesn't seem to fit you either”
You swallowed hard but shrugged one shoulder “I'm someone who knows a little about a lot. There's a tattoo on my shoulder that's warded with every sigil seven different covens could get their hands on. I mean no harm to you or yours. I just needed a new place to live and a friend knew someone here who was willing to rent to someone with no proof of identity or job”
She nodded slowly “Are you a hunter?” You gave one sharp nod. Either she'd kill you here and now or get one of those brothers you'd heard so much about to take you out. You hadn't expected a smile to brighten her face “Delightful. We need to get together again sometime”
“Is that a request or a demand?” You asked and she shrugged one shoulder “It's an offer, just friendship. You're new to town, my family built this town. Besides there's some here that wouldn't take your word that you mean no harm and having one of us on your side could help” you held her gaze for a moment then motioned to her phone “Let me give you my number in that case”
Tumblr media
By the time you got to your place you felt exhausted mentally and physically. How the hell had you ended up with one of the original vampires in your contact list?
You walked through your front door and dumped the bags on the floor. It was a small place. One of those open floors where the bed was about fifteen feet from the front door. A couch and a television was shoved into a corner as a living room of sorts. The kitchen consisted of a few counters and a tiny stove with a microwave installed over it. At least the bathroom was a decent size with a walk in shower and a stacked washer and dryer.
You needed to make the bed, put towels away and set up your coffee maker but all you wanted was a shower and to crash. One thing at a time.

I think I worded it better lol
How you think Rebekah Mikaelson would react to the girl she keeps rejecting (who always gives Beks princess treatment and her undivided attention) suddenly being super nice to Elena
𝕽𝖊𝖇𝖊𝖐𝖆𝖍 𝕸𝖎𝖐𝖆𝖊𝖑𝖘𝖔𝖓
"Hi, Bex" you grin, sitting next to the blonde. It was history class, first period, and the only seat next was the one left next to her because she glared at everyone else that dared to try. Not so secretly, you want her, and also not so secretly, she wants you. But Rebekah likes to be chased, she likes to be pampered, and she likes to make life hard. So though she also wanted you and enjoyed any previous advances you had given her, she was going to play hard to get.
"You again? Won't you ever learn to bugger off?" she huffs, turning away to hide her small smile at your presence. You catch the smile, though, and decide to play along despite the small pang in your chest.
"Never. What would i do without my favourite original by my side to talk to, hm?"
"Oh shush, Mr. Saltzman's starting his lesson, now let me borrow a pen"
___
This same back and forth continued between Rebekah and yourself for a few more days now and you stupidly began to think she would start being nice back. You shared your lunch, met when she called, watched her cheer leading try outs like she requested, even tied her laces for her once. And yet, today it seemed like it was going backwards.
"Oh go away, would you. You and-" Rebekah started, about to rant about the 'bloody Salvatores' and 'whiney Elena' but when she turned around to give you a practiced scowl she was met with the sight of you actually walking away.
The smile hidden under her grimace disappeared, wiped cleanly off of her face. Instead, a blank expression laid there, with eyes wide in surprise.
What was more surprising, though, was when you didn't show up for her practice. She no longer felt the need to show Caroline up, and slunk to the back of the group to peer at the stands.
Even more so, when she didn't see you sat next to her usual spot in history class. Instead at the front, doodling in your notebook.
Okay, so maybe it hurt a little. But she got what she asked for, right?
But what actually made her react was getting to the bonfire, expecting to speak to you and bicker - to hash it all out and move along - only to see you laughing with... Elena??
The two of you just looked like peas in a pod, giggling together and reminiscing about when you were closer as kids, when it was all less complicated. And then... and then you shared a smore. Like actually bit into the same one as that - that bitch!
And Rebekah was seething. Not that she really had any right to be.
And so she marched right up there, arms crossed in discontent, "A word, please?" and yet her tone indicated the 'please' was more of a 'get your arse up now'. And so, with a huff of annoyance and a shrug from you, Elena stood up to follow Rebekah. "Not you, you pest" she glared. Elena only looked to you with worry.
Brushing it off, you stood and followed Rebekah.
"What on earth has gotten into you lately? You've-" The blonde girl begins after sputtering for a few seconds
"I thought you wanted to be left alone bex, isn't that what you always tell me? To 'bugger off'?" and she has to hold back a wince at the way her own words are thrown back at her. "You asked to be left alone, and im leaving you alone. Is that all?"
"No that's not all!"
"Then what, hm?"
"Then... then-" she surges forward, kissing you deeply. "That, that's what!" she says angrily. "I'll see you Monday, in your normal seat, thank you very much" she turns to storm away, pointedly ignoring the hammering in her chest and the butterflies in her belly
"Okay" you whisper, fingers ghosting over your lips, mouth still tingling from the feel of hers. "See you Monday"
And that Monday she decides that maybe it's time to switch the narrative. Maybe its time for her to be attentive to you.

❝LET HER GO❞ — Rebekah Mikaelson
⤿Summary: Rebekah is in love with you but you two could never be together.
⤿Pairing: Rebekah Mikaelson x Female! Reader
⤿Very small angsty drabble (based on that one scene in shrek 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"She's a human—" Klaus sneered, he had caught her bringing your favourite flowers to your house. He thought of how pathetic it is that his sister is yet again trying to find love. He took a step towards her and finishes his words "—and you're a vampire, that's something no amount of potions is ever going to change," He looked at Rebekah, her head hung low before she voiced.
"But...I love her.." she looked up with tears, emotions swelling in her eyes. She knew she couldn't love anyone else, let alone a human, Klaus had proved her that years ago but you were different. You were something she could ever ask for, something she dream of, she's in love you and she loved you deeply than anybody has but she knew that you two were never meant to be. Klaus finally replies while she was stuck with her thoughts.
"If you really love her, you'll let her go"

| fluff | fem!reader | rebekah mikaelson/reader | vampira | posted on wattpad | unsolicited | mention of jelly beans |
Tumblr media
Spring was her favorite time, the bright sun, the loose clothes, flowery dresses, and the scent of roses in the air, it was enormous perfection.
When you became a vampire in the eighties, you were seventeen and met a knowledgeable vampire at a school dance.
You should hate high school, however, being transformed by a man who just wanted a hobby opened new doors to your life, gave you pleasures you could never describe.
And even if you wanted to return to your human life, you knew that wasn't possible, and even if it was, you had already gotten used to what it was.
One of the biggest changes was your taste, drinking blood was a great difficulty that you had to deal with alone, learning to control yourself at night, avoiding taking a life as much as possible.
You stopped being a night vampire almost ten years later, when you saved a witch, who decided to give you a daylight ring, something most wouldn't do.
Being blessed with sunlight after years brought a new shine to your life, new reasons to continue no matter how silly it may seem.
You've also gone back to testing new deadly meals, searching for something that doesn't taste so "dead" to your sophisticated palate, and you can't find anything better than jelly beans.
It was strange, you remembered eating when you were still human, but you never paid full attention at the time.
But as a vampire, you experienced it first in Florida, on a spring day with the sun on your skin protected by the ring of light.
They were a specific type, not the hard-shelled ones that stick to your teeth and make you bored of chewing, but the soft ones with sugar.
The flavors vary, the green one was a little sour for you, not good enough, the orange one seemed sweet, almost like paper, the love you was almost like the green one, however, its sourness was very little and the taste was cloying and the purple one seemed very sweet.
His only salvation had always been the red, strawberry jelly bean with little sugar crystals surrounding it, the flavor exploding on his sensitive palate.
It wasn't too sweet, nor without sweet, fortunately it didn't taste like paper and even in so many decades it never became cloying.
You would easily say that red jelly beans were your salvation, the only thing you considered good enough, the only sweet you loved and that went beyond any salty food you didn't despise.
Kol Mikaelson made jokes about your taste, he used to say that red jelly beans couldn't hold a candle to green ones, and you always countered by saying that he only thought that because you were as acidic as he was.
" Don't move too much. " Hope's childish voice scolded her and out of the corner of your eye, you could see Klaus give a smile, proud of his daughter.
" Yes, ma'am. " you replied, straightening your posture one last time.
The ten year old's small hands worked on her hair, surprisingly making a braid that most wouldn't be able to do, but Hope was always way beyond her time.
You were the smartest child you had met in decades, which without meaning to be presumptuous reminded her of yourself as a child.
Your mother used to say that you could become president without any effort, and your father always said that he was tremendously proud of you and your grades, even when he was drunk.
It was strange that he could always be so affectionate with you, drunk or not, when with your mother he always attacked you every time he drank.
You blinked a little faster, trying to push away the thoughts of the people who are gone, regardless of your relationship with your parents, you would miss them forever.
You were in the garden of the Mikaelson Mansion, a remote part of the city, where normally the originals were solving problems, however, on weekends like those they took time off to spend time with family.
Family.
you had met Elijah before all of them and when you learned what he was your initial thought was that his life had come to an end, even though the connection they had was undeniable.
It wasn't romantic at all, but it was totally superior to that, and as time passed you met Klaus when Elijah called you, seeking help to protect Hope.
You weren't that old or very powerful a vampire, but you could never deny a friend's request, especially to protect a child.
Even though initially Klaus didn't look favorably on her and you can't help but imagine that he would easily have a dagger made for you, avoiding having to kill her the conventional way, they eventually become friends.
It was no different with Rebekah, you met her when she arrived in the city, and they both got along absurdly well, almost as if they had known each other for years.
" You better listen, you don't want to ruin my painting, love. " stated the hybrid and you frowned looking at him.
"It's telling us? " ́ asked and he gave a smile.
"But of course, I have a perfect sunset behind you, and my daughter and my best friend are at an exceptional angle, I wouldn't miss that for anything. " he replied, and you smiled.
"Okay, but I want image rights." he replied jokingly, and Hope smiled.
" Me too. " the child said and Klaus made an offended face.
" My goodness, this is a plot. " he stated in disbelief.
" You see, brother, at some point in a thousand years someone would have to surpass you. " said Elijah, going down the porch steps, so he could admire both the girls and his brother's painting. "This is magnificent.
" Thank you, at least someone is giving me some support. " stated the hybrid and you laughed, rolling your eyes.
You turned your attention to the front, where Rebekah was watering some plants with the help of a ruler, you were wearing light clothes, a white tank top with no wrinkles and dark fabric pants, boots on your feet that fortunately weren't damaging the lawn.
You turned your attention to the different types of roses, while you felt your hair being touched by Hope, who from time to time asked you to hold a strand of hair.
You can never be more content with your life, however, the long period you sat on the lawn in Hope's care and being painted by Klaus next to the child and the magnificent sunset, you had to admit needing sugar in your stomach. blood.
Their spectacular red jelly beans.
The vampire searched the house's closets with her eyes wide open, perhaps things weren't going as planned.
How could a perfect weekend not have red jelly beans?
You closed a closet door catching a glimpse of your reflection in the mirror, the perfect braid in your light hair and the greenish eyes showing your disbelief.
The vampire went to the room looking at each jar of sweets, unfortunately they were all the ones Hope used to eat and not you.
Maybe you should start cutting out some sugar, because consuming all the jelly beans you brought on a Saturday was absurd.
Well, it wasn't entirely your fault, you had shared most of it with Hope, hiding it from Hayley's eyes, who always talked about sweets before main meals.
You were two big jellybean traffickers.
" Auntie, what are you doing? " Hope asked, rubbing her eyes after waking up in the middle of the night.
The girl had gone to sleep a few hours ago, and given that you normally didn't sleep due to your vampire ability, you and the majority of the house were still awake.
" The end of the world, my dear. " you replied, approaching the little girl and placing a kiss on her cheek. " But don't worry about that, I'll solve everything myself. " you stated and the child nodded.
"Are you sure?" he asked, his voice a little groggy with sleep.
" Yes, little angel. " he assured, picking up Hope, who laid her head on his shoulder, yawning. "Now, you will go back to bed, and when you wake up, auntie will make your favorite pancakes.
"With blueberries?" She asked as you opened the door to the child's room, which was next to Hayley Marshall's.
"Exactly," she agreed, placing the child on the bed. " Sweet dreams, sweetheart. " you whispered, kissing the little girl's forehead.
"Good night, auntie." Hope whispered, taking a few seconds to fall asleep under the gaze of the vampire who was smiling broadly.
"You're a light sleeper." whispered Rebekah, at the door and the vampire agreed, leaving the room in silent steps, leaving the door open.
" I think you heard me searching the house. " confessed the vampire.
" It's hard for someone not to hear it. " joked Rebekah. " Kol said you were about to start World War III.
" If I go without my candy for a long time, yes. " you said, and the original was sure that it was easily possible.
Rebekah knew that without the little reds you liked you could easily become someone else, you were a faithful servant of the jelly beans, and without you it would be as if your kingdom had collapsed.
Sometimes it seemed like you loved treats more than anyone else.
"You, a little wine will help you." suggested the vampire, giving him her arm.
You looked at her thoughtfully and made a childish pout that made the original smile.
Giving in, you linked your arm through Rebekah's, returning to the kitchen.
Rebekah Mikaelson didn't sleep all night, just like you, you spent the night in front of the TV, drinking wine and criticizing the films that were showing.
Your criticisms border on professional and if you were one of the producers of the films, you would dare to say that you would cry over what was said by your friend.
Friend.
Even years ago the word sounded strange, because even though I was always so open to you, being by your side whenever I needed you, listening to you, the feeling of friendship never belonged to heart of the original.
Almost eleven years, that was how long you had known her, much less than your brother Elijah, and the same amount as Kol or Klaus, however, you knew that her feelings for you were totally different from theirs.
Eleven years was too long, Klaus always said you never did anything slowly, not even falling in love, he judged you for that, but almost eleven years had passed and you were sure you were in love, but those words never left your mouth .
Maybe it was the years of love that, true to you, weren't always, that brought more problems to your life than you could count and it was undeniable how much it shook you.
Pretending a life changed by going to schools and crashing dances, acting as if it belonged to him when that wasn't the truth.
Worldly life didn't matter so much now, you wanted to have what was taken from you back, but with your family here you were at peace and it was inevitable that you wanted it to last forever.
And in a way it would last.
You were preparing your morning coffee using Rebekah left the house, leaving a warning to your brothers that it wouldn't be long.
New Orleans wasn't far away, and when you arrived in the city you knew the exact places you needed to go to get what you wanted.
you would try differently this time, but you wouldn't deny it any longer.
He had no problem falling in love quickly, better than not loving at all.
You twirled a strand of your golden hair around your finger as you analyzed the painting, your gaze wandering over each detail, reinforcing an expression of suspense and criticism.
" If you keep making all this suspense, I will compel you to tell the truth. " Klaus stated from the other side of the studio, you smiled, not knowing for sure if it was in fact just a joke.
" I took vervain. " he replied, but it wasn't true and from the look Klaus gave you you knew he knew that.
You didn't take vervain, you never did, it was your vote of confidence in them at the beginning, and that extended until now, and even with the original hybrid's provocations you knew that none of them would ever compel you.
" I thought it was amazing, daddy. " Hope stated, and Klaus smiled happily, kissing the top of the child's head.
" Me too, it was amazing, and you know how critical I can be. " you replied and Klaus nodded satisfied.
"Of course, I've seen you say things that would cause films to be banned from the catalogue." he replied and the girl smiled, winking at you.
You left Hope with Klaus, who shows you other old paintings, kept in the residence for a few years.
You walked through the corridors humming a song, until you arrived in the room where Kol was centered between the TV, not so focused on the program that was playing.
"Did you happen to see Rebekah?" he asked, missing the vampire some time ago who, according to Elijah, had gone to the city, and the original turned his face towards you.
"You arrived just now, darling, you're outside." he replied. "Lollipop?" He offered, showing the lollipop he had taken from the ones Hope usually consumes.
"No, thank you." He thanked you, refusing the sweet that was sickening to you.
Kol knew this, and was teasing him about missing his adorable jelly beans.
you continued on your way, passing you through the kitchen, where you saw Elijah and Hayley working to make a blackberry pie, which looked delicious.
You stole one of the berries under the hybrid's gaze, who looked at you, forcing a playful "ugly" look, and you smiled happily, leaving the back door.
It was close to dusk again, and you couldn't be happier to witness a sunset again.
The greatest beauty of immortality for you was how many sunsets you could admire.
He saw Rebekah a few steps away, and walked towards the vampire sitting on the tree swing, the light wind ruffling the magnificent doctored strands, highlighting the immortal beauty even more.
Being an immortal, you would easily say that Rebekah was Aphrodite, but it would be an exaggeration to say that the Goddess was as beautiful as you.
Rebekah Mikaelson was Aphrodite.
You sat next to the original, adjusting the flowery dress similar to the day before, and kept your gaze forward, watching the sky starting to take on a pinkish color, and a slight orange.
" Spring is coming to an end, that's a little depressing. " he said, looking at the vampire who smiled.
" At least the color of summer will make you a little happier. " Rebekah argued and you nodded knowing it was true.
Even though spring was your favorite, you loved all seasons, especially here when the sun was even brighter.
"You spent the day out, Elijah said he went to town." She said, paying attention to the original's eyes, which seemed to show some fear. " All good?
" I did something, at the time it seemed like a brilliant idea, but now that you're here I don't know if it can happen. " you he said, leaving the vampire confused.
"What do you mean by that, Bekah?" asked the young woman and the vampire turned her head, taking something that was hidden in the corner of the swing.
You stared at the glass jar with your mouth open, the material seeming to shine a little from the sun's rays reflecting off it, the intense red becoming worthy of all your admiration.
" I brought you a gift. " said the original, and you took the pot carefully, afraid that with all your emotion you could go overboard in terms of strength.
It was a glass jar of jelly beans, all as red as you like, with sugar crystals all over them, and the heart shape, which wasn't normally what you bought, however, it was still amazing.
Hearts.
You looked at Rebekah giving a wide smile.
"That's amazing, thank you." She said extremely excitedly, and pulled the vampire into a hug that she immediately returned.
" I knew you would like it. " you said, still hugging the young girl. "But it's just... I have to say something.
you turned away from you, waiting for the original to continue, you held the glass jar tightly and the original moistened her nervous lips.
" What is it? " you asked softly, eyes narrowing in confusion.
" You know me, I never do anything slowly, ever. For years I lived on the consequences of love, on the desire for a life that I couldn't have. " you said. "But when Hope and you arrived at the family practically together, I saw that I could have a normal life, even though I was still like that... You showed me a way to live like a mortal, even though I wasn't one, with your impeccable taste, reviews that would make film producers cry and an overwhelming addiction to red jelly beans.
You smiled, surprised by what was said to you.
" Well, you helped me with that too, every second you were by my side. " you said, feeling warm at heart being with you.
" It's not just that. " said the original. " For almost eleven years, I tried to mask my emotions, I tried to change them, to find a way to not get hurt, but I was always wrong. " you stated, and you felt the touch on your hand on the bottle.
"Do you mean to say that...
" I'm in love with you." shot Rebekah, interrupting the girl. "I know it's confusing, that we never had room for that, but I couldn't help it, I didn't plan to love you that way. But it's impossible for me not to love you, all your beauty, your passions, your way, everything in You enchant me, princess jellybean.
You froze over her words, your green eyes fixed on the woman who said she loved you, your heart so hot and racing, beating as if you were simply alive.
As if you were a mortal.
" You make me feel like a mortal. " you said, placing the jar of red jelly beans between you. " But that's not bad, because I've never been so alive.
" I think not having love in an immortal heart was the worst punishment anyone could face. " said Rebekah. " But having is the meaning of being alive.
You moistened your lips, feeling your immortal heart racing, alive with the unique feeling that passion could give you.
Rebekah brought her face closer to you, her gaze falling on your red lips and kissed you, in a unique, sweet and passionate way.
An explosion of feeling took over her body, you brought your hand to the original's face, upset that it took so many years to realize something like that, but grateful that this day had arrived.
You discovered that the flavor of Rebekah's red lip gloss was now your favorite candy too.

Y/n: If I die first, promise to wait for me, okay, Rebekah?
Rebekah: Oh, Y/n. When I die, I’m taking you with me.
Y/n: I can’t tell if that’s a threat or a compliment.
Rebekah: I’d think of it more as a grim inevitability.

Rebekah marvelled at the way the sun’s rays bounced off the blush of your cheeks. Your eyes were closed, soaking in the warm afternoon rays as you sat upon the flatter part of the roof of your house. Your forever-loving girlfriend looked down at the picnic you had planned out, not taking long in her favourite task as she rained pretend sparkles over each delicacy in front of her to choose your poison.
She picked up one of your chocolate-covered strawberries you’d blushingly admitted to spending the morning on, pressing it gently to the line between your closed lips. You let her in, closing your lips and taking a small bite of the sweet fruit.
Rebekah smirked as she finished off the rest of your strawberry, placing the leafy end into the lid of the container. “So, my little human… What have you planned for us tonight?”
You smirked and moved closer to her, pressing your forehead to hers as a short chuff of laughter shot out your nose. “Carnival?”
Rebekah’s eyes closed as she groaned. “Must we really? All those sweaty boys trying to impress girls, horny teenagers making out anywhere they can find. Ugh, makes me sick.”
You lifted your hand to her cheek, pushing a few loose strands of stunningly blonde hair out of your way to hold her softly. “If anything, those horny teenagers will be out of sight and the only one that those boys will be trying to impress is you, sweets.”
Rebekah sighed and kissed you gently, knowing from previous experiences that she could easily break your nose if she was feverish enough. “You are beautiful, angel. I will never understand why you think not.”
You sighed too, letting her pull you in closer to listen to the sound of her undead heart thump away. She cradled you for a moment before she pulled your eyes back up to hers. “If you really want to go, we can go.”
“Yes!” You cheered, your excitement making you almost slip down the roof on a mossy tile.
Rebekah caught you by a hand around your waist and she chuckled at your antics, pulling you back up very easily. “But I have a condition.”
“Aw…” You groaned, your bitten bottom lip telling her that you meant no malice.
“I know, I’m such a bad girlfriend.” She rolled her eyes.
But then her smile grew thin, a worried frown creasing her eyebrows as her thumb brushed just below your bottom lip, releasing it from its confines of your simple human teeth. “I want you wearing a tracker ring. I’ll have Freya cook it up or something, but I’m not losing you.”
You sighed, slightly annoyed that she brought this up again. “Bekah, for the last time, you can’t lose me. Mystic Falls isn’t that big. You could probably smell me from the opposite side of the mountain.”
Rebekah hesitated on arguing about it more. She wasn’t sure why she had asked it in the first place; maybe it was a mindless thought, pulled from the cauldron in which anxiety and her past had mixed a foul concoction of paranoia. But she knew it was making you annoyed, so she dropped it once again.
“Of course. Am I picking you up?” She asked, her hand falling to rest on your thigh as her thumb tickled the skin beneath your jeans.
You nodded, glad that she had dropped the subject. “How’s 6?”
She smiled. “It’s a date.”
———————————▽▽——————————
You stood on your front porch and smiled at the sight of Rebekah as she turned onto your street, standing up to greet her at the gate. She kissed you gently as you leaned on your gate, to which you soon opened and took her hand before she guided you to the car and sped to the carnival.
As soon as you got out though, you were whisked away in a blur, only recognising Rebekah’s smirk as the world returned to normal speed.
“Bekah!” You hissed, shocked that she would use her vamp speed so blatantly.
“What?” She teased, leading you out of the shadows between two vans so as to start your carnival date.
You played plenty of games, with Rebekah’s only wish being that she paid for them, and you eyed her every time she handed over the set of bills required. Fishing was not your strong suit, but to Rebekah’s surprise, you managed to get a prize at the Balloon Pop.
“So?” You turned to her, the host of the balloon game currently blowing up some replacements.
“So what?” She asked, confused.
“Pick one!”
She looked startled at your excitement, but you curled around her body and lifted her chin, letting her eyes fall onto the grand prize section. She eyed all of the toys, from Disney characters like Stitch to Pokemon like Pikachu.
“Well, my humble nerd… Close your eyes.” She hummed, keeping her hand over your eyes as well as she pointed to the one she wanted.
The host grabbed it and offered it to her, but spun and placed the stuffed toy in your hands, making your eyes open in excitement. “Squirtle!”
She giggled at your immediate cuddle for the Pokemon. “I know that Squirtle’s always been your favourite starter.”
You faked a tear. “You know the starters?”
She nodded and came closer to you, pulling the 24 inch plush away from your chest so she could get even closer. “Why don’t you go and put this in the car? Maybe buckle Squirtle into the back seat?”
“But she doesn’t have a car seat.” You whined, making Rebekah scoff playfully.
“Go, Y/N.”
“I’ll meet you by the food stalls.” You grinned as she transferred her keys into your pocket, giving you a kiss on the cheek as you dawdled off to the car.
Rebekah kept herself busy as she looped around the food stalls, waiting for your presence to calm her paranoia. She admired the Greek tzatziki, Thai curries, German sausages, Italian gelato and the ever-cooking feast that was the special Mystic Falls stall, but a chill passed over her shoulder as she looked to see who was working there.
When her eyes met his, the dark tone of his skin matching his equally dark brown eyes and evil soul, anger built in her. She guessed he noticed too, since he dipped out the back of the tent and came to her calmly.
“Marcel.” She growled.
“Rebekah. So lovely to see you again.” He jeered, completely faking the nicety.
With a quick glance around them, she whipped him into the same dark corner behind the two vans and held her hand over his chest. “What are you doing here?”
“Don’t you know? We’re celebrating! Proud to be from Mystic Falls, ya da ya da ya. All that sentimental bullshit.” He chuckled, a tone to his voice that the blonde didn’t like.
“Say… where is that stunning little gremlin you call your girlfriend? Isn’t she fond of these activities?”
Rebekah ever so slightly loosened her grip on him. “By the car. Putting away her Squirtle that she rightfully earned.”
“I thought it was yours.” He raised an eyebrow.
“And are you sure she went to the car?”
The veins beneath her eyes turned black, her sclera shifting to a blood red hue. “What did you do?”
Marcel chuckled once more as Rebekah futilely shoved him against the fencing. “Had to get a few hunters off of my back. That Alaric sure knows how to get information.”
“No…” Rebekah muttered, controlling the tremble of her legs to a minimum.
“But we all know how stubborn that little bitch is. Maybe he can finally meet his match! Or maybe… she will meet hers.”
Marcel darted out of view before Rebekah could follow him, her eyes tearing up as her veins and sclera returned to normal. She fell to the ground, smashing the bones of her hand into thousands of pieces as her anger filtered out.
Because nothing could compare to the thought of losing you forever.
———————————▽▽——————————
When you woke up, you were a little bit dizzy. A pain came from the back of your head, but when you tried to touch it, you noticed your hand was locked in a leather strap. You looked down to see your other hand and your ankles in the same position, a thicker belt tied around your waist.
“Well, good morning, sunshine!” A male voice brought your head up, but you couldn’t quite make out his face in the dark.
“Y-You’re not Bekah. That’s her name for me, not yours.” You spat, already angry at this silhouette.
“Well, I can see why Marcel calls you a gremlin. So much anger and spite!” The voice laughed, echoing around you in an almost mocking tone.
“Where’s Bekah? What’re you gonna do to her?!” You thrashed around in your restraints, your mind hopelessly thinking that they were coming loose.
“When I find her - and I will, thanks to you - I will do so many wonderful things to her.”
The voice came closer and you could make out the recognisable chin, your eyes slowly rising to meet your former teacher’s.
“Alaric.” You growled, spitting in his face quickly.
He simply growled louder, deeper, and much more dominant than you could ever muster. “You’re gonna regret that, you little shit.”
He gripped you by the chin, bruisingly so, and threw your head back. You held in your wince at the reverse whiplash, staring him down even as he pulled out a satchel from the corner.
“I was hoping you’d co-operate a little bit before we got to the nitty-gritty stuff… but then again, you never were good at listening in class.” He shrugged, cocking his crossbow before it fired an arrow into your leg.
You screamed out initially, and whilst it probably would have felt better to continue, you cut it short to breathe through the pain. Another hit your other thigh, and you were glad he hadn’t gone for your artery.
“Now…” He knelt down in front of your hunched over body.
“Where is Rebekah Mikaelson?”
———————————▽▽——————————
Rebekah paced inside of the Mikaelson house, with Klaus, Hayley, Elijah and Freya debating a plan.
She should have encouraged the ring idea. She knew you were stubborn, she knew you hated being tracked, but this was why she wanted it. She wanted you safe, because you were a human. You didn’t have accelerated healing, you didn’t have the power she had, and even if she wanted to give it to you, she wasn’t sure she could.
“Rebekah, stop pacing for five minutes!” Klaus’ voice pulled her out of her pacing trance.
“Niklaus…” Freya warned him, looking at Rebekah’s flickering eyes.
Your girlfriend sank onto the couch next to Hayley, the hybrid’s arms going over her shoulder in a comforting manner. “We’ll find her, Bex. We will.”
“And what if we don’t?” She shot back, apologising softly afterwards.
“What did Marcel say to you? Tell us exactly.” Elijah asked her.
Rebekah took a deep breath. This was for you - she had to be strong for you… at least until you were back in her arms. “He said he needed to get a few hunters off of his back. Maybe he cut a deal with Alaric - protection for a way to get to the Mikaelsons.”
Klaus and Elijah’s eyebrows furrowed before they retreated into a private room, leaving Rebekah with Freya and Hayley.
“Did you want me to conjure that tracking ring if you get her back?” Freya asked quietly, but Hayley’s eyes shot up.
“When, Freya, when. Not if.”
The bob-haired girl nodded and hugged Rebekah tightly, the vampire returning it just a tad tighter. “I miss her. It’s been three hours and I miss her already.”
The two girls chuckled lovingly, and Hayley spoke again. “It’s hard, isn’t it? Letting her go out into the dangerous state of this world without any sort of protection except for you.”
“To be honest, little sister, I am surprised you decided to date her. I mean, who would have ever thought that you would pick the shy nerd in a crowd full of jocks and cheerleaders?” Freya commented.
Rebekah smiled softly, looking over at the Squirtle she had brought in from the car. She quickly grabbed it and tucked it tight against her, almost burying her nose in it to try and get some sort of scent of you.
“She was kind to me on our first day of meeting. I asked her where my Maths class was and she led me all the way there, even though her class was on the other side of the school.” She reminisced, a tear forming from the fond core memory.
Freya was about to speak highly of you again before Klaus and Elijah burst through the door, a winning smile on both of their changed faces.
“We found her.”
———————————▽▽——————————
All five of them stood outside of the strange warehouse; rusted corners, bullet and arrow holes everywhere throughout the metal plating.
“Can anybody hear her?” Rebekah asked.
They all shook their heads, even as Hayley and Klaus turned to their wolf forms.
“Rebekah.”
She turned at the sound of Elijah’s voice, his calm nature giving her a smile. “I hear Alaric’s heart.”
She turned back to eye the front door around the corner, and as soon as she heard his heart too, her mind was set on nothing else but ripping it out.
With Freya standing guard and as a getaway defence, the other four sped in and began their massacre. Rebekah was snapping any neck with the mark of a hunter or a gun, whilst Hayley, Klaus and Elijah worked on the vampire guards, the fatal bite of the two hybrids spreading like wildfire.
Rebekah found a hidden door and broke through it, following the scent of blood until she recognised yours.
A loud wail matched it.
“GET AWAY FROM HER!” She snarled, the guard’s heart now in her hand before it slid off and onto the hay-filled floor.
There you sat, strapped in tightly like an animal. The tight bindings around your wrists and ankles had cut into your skin from all of your thrashing, blood seeping from almost everywhere but your chest, neck and head. Bruises littered your visible skin through torn clothes, a particularly dark purple one surrounding your neck. Cuts were everywhere, some as knife skins and others as deep, purposeful stabs.
One thing that Rebekah knew rang out in her mind - if she hadn’t come now, you would’ve been dead by morning.
“Y/N! Y/N, please, sunshine, look at me.” She knelt in front of you, your tired eyes only half-open.
“Bekah?” You mumbled.
She smiled tearily. “I’m right here, baby. I’m right here, and I’m gonna get you out, okay?”
You nodded and felt no difference in pain as she unbound you - in fact, the cold sting of the night air from the grate above you made it slightly worse, a hiss coming from you as she swept you into her arms.
“I know it hurts, sunshine, but we’ll be out of here soon enough. Hayley! Nik!” She called out into the hallway, the fast wolves appearing in a few seconds.
You looked down at the sight of the two wolves, a small but pained smile appearing on your lips. “H-Hi, Hayley. Hi, Kl-Klaus.”
They both nodded at you and checked behind Rebekah to see no possibility for someone to sneak up on you. Rebekah walked you out of the bloodbath to meet Freya, the witch shocked at your appearance and immediately got a blanket from the car to wrap around you.
“Here.” She handed her little sister a small ring - a tracker ring.
She looked down at your frail form but shook her head when she looked at your hands; bloodied and beaten, just like the rest of you. She thought of dealing with it when she got home, but the sight of the shiny ring caught your eye.
“B-Bekah…” You murmured, the vampire not caring that your blood was now soaking her jacket.
“Yes, my dear?” She replied, guiding you into the car as Elijah, Klaus and Hayley finished off their enemies.
“Please…” You gestured to the ring, moving your shaking hand towards it.
“No.” She pocketed the ring and held you close, keeping your ear against her chest.
“Drive, Freya.”
———————————▽▽——————————
When you woke up you were surprised you were alive, to say the least. Everything hurt; every muscle movement, every tendon jolt, every beat of your heart.
And that heart was the reason why your lover lay next to you, her eyes observing your rising wakeness closely. You winced as you tried to get comfortable, but Rebekah shushed you lightly.
“Don’t move, princess. It’ll hurt you even more than what he did to you.”
“Bekah. You’re okay.” You sighed in relief, wanting to wrap her up in your arms.
“Of course I’m okay. I’m a Mikaelson.” She chuckled, making you do the same but you winced as a slight but extremely painful pressure hit your chest.
“Don’t… Don’t make me laugh.” You breathed out slowly, watching her eyes tear up.
“Please let me heal you. I promise, I won’t let anybody touch you for 24 hours. No sudden deaths, not turning into vampires, just…” She shakily trailed off, almost looking ready to break down.
You didn’t answer.
But you opened your mouth.
She instantly received your message and bit into her wrist, blood pouring from the wound that she pressed against your lips. You didn’t drink, simply letting it drain into your mouth, and you swallowed three times before the wound closed.
“More, Y/N. You need more.” She whimpered, going to bite herself again but you took her hand.
“Just be with me. It’s more than enough.” You muttered, letting your emotionally expressive vampire collapse next to you and cry through her sheets.
You didn’t shush her, you didn’t tell her to stop crying - you let her let it out, all whilst you held her as tightly as you could with broken… everything. She suddenly sat up and pushed herself towards you, colliding your lips together in a harsh but necessary display of affection.
“Bekah… Bekah- ah!” You hissed as she pressed on a wound around your wrist, instantly pulling away from you.
She stopped and you could see how little colour was in her face. “You haven’t fed.”
She shook her head. “Not since you fell asleep.”
“How long was I out?” You asked.
She didn’t answer, keeping her eyes away from you.
“Rebekah…” You warned her.
“Two weeks.” She meekly answered.
Two weeks- Bekah, you’re going to desiccate!” You fretted, sitting up painfully as you brought her closer to you.
“Feed, now.”
“But-”
“I don’t care! Feed!” You barked.
She sighed, kissing you along the neck before she gently bit into your skin. Your blood was sweeter than most she had come across, and she didn’t know if it was because of your romantic relationship or if it was just you.
You felt her pull away after a few seconds but you gave her an ‘uh-uh’ in that same warning tone, which made her continue. When she finally pulled herself out of your weak grip, she looked almost brand new and she slowly wiped off the blood on her face.
“Thank you. I… I had no bags left.” She muttered, looking down as she played with her fingers.
“Bekah. Look at me.” You spoke gently, waiting for her eyes to meet yours.
“Hi, my beautiful girl.”
She keened at your description and moved closer at your invitation, holding you against her chest as she looked down at your smaller form.
“Please don’t ever, ever, do that again. I love you, Rebekah Mikaelson, but you need to put your health first if I’m ever gone for that long.” You slowly tickled her thigh as it came over your hips.
“Okay.” She answered, kissing your forehead.
“Now, how long until I am better?” You asked, looking up at her with a tired expression.
“I will feed you every now and then with my blood, and lots of water will be coming your way, but with those two bases covered, I can’t imagine any more than a week.” She replied, distracted by running her fingers through your hair.
You pressed into her hand and she sighed contently, but your hands around her waist showed your mind was focused. You found the ring from two weeks ago and you overlooked the beautiful shape - a single emerald held in an old crest.
“Very Mikaelson-like.” You chided, making Rebekah chuckle as she held your hand ever so gently; simply letting it rest there.
“Of course. Have you seen Elijah and Klaus’ daylight rings?” She smirked.
“Those are too chunky for me. But they do look good on them.” You commented.
She nodded and brought her lips to yours, slipping the ring onto your right ring finger. You sighed into her before a yawn came out of nowhere, ripping through the silence to make Rebekah giggle.
“Come on, sunshine - time to get some more beauty sleep.”
You rolled your eyes at her but let her hold you like always, a hand curled over your waist and around your ring-held hand as she quietly hummed a lullaby. You felt your eyelids getting heavier and heavier, only for you to finally fall asleep.
Rebekah looked up at Freya in the shadows as her hands finally fell to her side, an exchange of smiles between them as the eldest left the youngest to dot on you and, eventually, fall asleep too.

Hi it’s me again! So for my first request it’s for Rebekah and I was wondering if you would mind doing head cannons with Rebekah having a female s/o who has a crush on her? I would love to see how it would go
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rebekah having a female s/o:
Rebekah had definitely been with a few women over the years, girl cannot live over a thousand years and not be taking her fair share of the mix.
When she saw you though? Oh she just couldn’t help but introduce herself, you were the prettiest person she had ever seen, she knew just what style of dresses would suit you, what colour would go well with your hair.
You were all too eager to reciprocate her attention, quickly becoming friends and hanging out on a regular basis.
It was easy to develop a crush on her, the way she would insist on helping you get changed for the events she threw only made it harder. Her soft fingers would slide up your back as she did the zip on your dress up
Her hands would be in your hair as she styled it just perfectly, her face only a few inches away form yours as she applied your mascara ‘not that you need it, just to add to what you’re already giving me’ she would remind you
She always reminds you of how perfect you are, both looks and personality ‘i could look into your eyes forever’ ‘your figure is so beautiful’ ‘if i had half the personality you did…’
Often you would playfully suggest that you two should dance together, despite it being the 21st century two women dancing together at a traditional like ball isn’t exactly expected. That did not stop you though and although her siblings could be moody and unfair they too were happy to see their sister so full of joy as she clung to you
Rebekah always gave you expensive extravagant gifts like century old jewellery or those far too expensive boots that you accidentally briefly mentioned you liked.
And so you decided to treat Bekah by showing her new things, she had been daggered for a while after all so opening her up to new experiences was always fun.
A few times you two would go away on holiday, seeing her in a little bikini always had you blushing and nervous, not that she noticed too much because she was also gawking over you.
Eventually after far too many months you kissed her. Right in-front of everyone after you had witnessed a man try to flirt with her. Shock was evident throughout the bar as you pulled away with an embarrassed expression but she didn’t let you remain that way for long before she pulled you right back to her moulding her lips with yours
That was the start of a very happy Rebekah Mikaelson
(i know this is like really short so if you have other Rebekah requests i can do some more for you, courting maybe? or yandere bekah? or i can just do a one-shot if you have something specific you would like! :))

Elijah x Daughter!reader - rest now
Tumblr media
Heya love. May we have another Mikealsons death scene (us dieing obviously cos attention) and it’s more soppy stuff however Elijah is are dad. And it’s just him and us as he cries on to our body as we lose our grip. :) I’m in a sad mood so everyone else can suffer - @genderfluidsanta 💜
TW: major character death
It all happened so fast, you don’t know how happened but as you looked down at the nasty wound on your arm you couldn’t help but feel the worry flood through you.
You didn’t want to go back home, but you didn’t know what else to do.
You wondered the street aimlessly until you finally found yourself outside the Salvatore brothers houses
Padding up to the steps, you lightly knocked on the door and waited.
“Finally, someone who knocks!” You heard Damon yelled.
He tossed the door open and the moment he laid eyes on your he glared at you.
“Why are you here?” He snarled.
“I…”
You looked down and sighed. Shrugging your jacket off, you stretched your arm out.
“I.. I need help…”
“We can’t help you.”
You looked up, tears in your eyes as you looked at the oldest brother.
“Please Damon… I don’t want my dad to see me…” you whispered.
“Who it is?”
You watched as the rest of his crew all walk over, and the only one who came outside to look at you was Stefan.
He took your arm in his hands and inspected the bite.
“Where’s Elijah?” Elena asked.
You shrugged slightly.
“I don’t know… home maybe… please… I can’t let him see me like this…”
“Come in.”
Stefan walked you in and took you upstairs to his bedroom where he laid you down and they all looked around.
“Didn’t Klaus’ blood save Damon?” Jeremy asked.
“Yeah… but… I don’t know where he is… it was his hybrid that but me…”
“His own hybrid? You’re sure?” Bonnie asked.
They were confused, why would Klaus order his own hybrid to bite you? His own niece.
They tried everything to keep you comfortable, but nothing seemed to work.
Your temperature was through the roof, and you didn’t know where you were. You were hungry and sick all at the same time.
It hadn’t even been a day since you you’d been bitten, and the pain was spreading way faster than they thought.
It was Damon that came over, blood bag in his hand as he handed it over to you, letting you rest your head on his shoulder as you gulped it down.
“(Y/N)…”
You looked to the door, with your hazy vision you struggled to figure out who it way, but when the haze cleared you saw it clearly.
“Dad…”
Elijah quickly walked over, taking Damon’s place on the bed.
He wrapped you up in his arms, inspecting the wound on your arm.
“Niklaus is coming back… you’re going to be okay…” he whispered.
You blinked, and you tried to get up, you tried to rush for Bonnie who was bringing a bowl into the room for you.
Elijah pinned you down, holding you still.
“(Y/N)! Stop!”
You fought against your dad, trying to break free from his grasp.
“I don’t want to be a vampire! Please! Don’t turn me!” You begged.
Elijah felt his heart shatter.
He remembered that night, hundreds of years ago where you were dying from a sickness and your parents begged him to turn you.
You didn’t didn’t want to turn, but he did it for you parents since he owned them a favour.
He was a man of his word and he kept it for them.
“Let me go please!” You begged.
Grabbing your dad by the shirt, you launched him across the room and quickly jumped up.
You looked at Bonnie before you ran from the room and out into the town.
You were hazy, and you felt like you weren’t really walking.
You aimlessly walked, bumping into people and objects until you finally couldn’t stand anymore.
“It hurts…” you cried softly.
You groaned in pain and rested your back against the wall you collapsed near.
“(Y/N)!”
Elijah was right next to you again, gathering your into his arms as he started to walk.
You grilled the fabric of his blazer tightly.
“I don’t want to die…” you cried.
“And I won’t let you, Niklaus will be here in a few days.”
You carried on crying, begging your dad to help you, to take the pain away.
It killed him to see you like this, to see you in so much pain, knowing that there was nothing he could do.
Getting back to the boarding house, he laid you back on the bed and held you close to him.
As the night went on you got worse and worse, you couldn’t drink the blood anymore, and if you did you threw it back up.
“How long until Klaus gets back?” Caroline asked softly.
They didn’t get along with you much, and they definitely didn’t like the Mikaelsons but to see you in so much pain it was upsetting for them all.
You were begging for someone to stake you, to make the pain stop.
“Please.” You cried, “please make it stop…”
“Just another day…” Elena whispered.
“No! No! Take it away!” You yelled.
Elijah held you tightly against him, letting you cry into his shoulder as you begged and pleaded.
Tears burnt his eyes.
“Why is she deteriorating so fast?!” He yelled.
“We don’t know, I’ve tried everything but nothings slowing it.” Bonnie whispered.
Elijah looked at you, there’s no way you were going to make it until the next day.
As the night slowly creeped by you got even worse, and you went silent.
“(Y/N)…?” Elijah whispered.
He gently shook you, but you didn’t stir.
“(Y/N)….?”
He started to panic, but when you stirred slightly and opened your eyes to look at him.
You gripped his hand tightly.
“I don’t want to die dad…” you whispered.
“I know…” he whispered back.
Elijah leant down, kissing the side of your head as he brushed some hair from your face.
“He’s nearly here, Niklaus can help you.”
“I can’t do this…”
“Please, hold on for a little while longer…”
You shook your head, and tears brimmed your eyes again.
“I can’t… dad… I can’t do it…”
Tears slipped down Elijah’s face as he listened to you begging and pleading.
He wanted you to fight, and he knew you would for him, but to see you in so much pain hurt him.
“I want to… to let go…”
Elijah took a shaky breath, wiping your tears with his other hand.
“Then it’s okay, let go. Just rest, Niklaus will be here soon.. it’ll all be okay…” he whispered.
You looked around the room, eyes unable to focus on anything.
“I can… rest for a bit…?”
Elijah but back a sob, and pulled you into his chest, cradling you tightly.
“Rest… it’s okay…”
You have a weak nod and smiled.
“I love you dad…” you whispered.
“I love you too.”
He could hear your heart slowly, and your grip lacking until your whole body went limp and you stopped breathing.
Elijah buried his face into the side of your head as he sobbed heavily, letting out a pained scream.
The others heard it, and they all shared a look before making their way outside.
They didn’t want to disturb Elijah, and someone had to prepare Klaus for when he turned up.
An hour later a car turned up and Klaus and Rebekah quickly jumped out.
“Where is she?!” Rebekah asked frantically.
“There’s still time!” Klaus rushed out.
Everyone shared a look, and it was Caroline who walked over.
“I’m so sorry…” she whispered.
“No…” Rebekah whispered.
“You guys can go in. They’re in my room.” Stefan spoke softly.
Both vampires were gone, and immediately stood in the doorway.
They watched as Elijah sobbed over your body.
“No…”
Rebekah walked over and dropped to her knees in front of the bed, her hand reaching out to take you limp one in hers.
Klaus walked over and inspected your arm.
“Elijah I’m so sorry…”
“Kill the hybrids…” Elijah whispered.
Elijah looked up to face his brother, nothing but pure hatred in his eyes.
“Rip each and every one of them apart aside from the Lockwood. Make all of them pay for this.” He snarled.
Klaus gave a small nod of his head.
“You have my word brother.”
Klaus gently placed a hand on the side of your face, running his thumb along your cheek.
“I’m sorry (Y/N)…”
No one had the heart to kick the originals out, not at this time, they all simply left them to it and let them grieve alone

The first time Rebekah saw you she was instantly in love
Stealing glances at you from across the class, eyeing you in the crowded hallways during class change, watching you and the way you interacted with your friends in the lunchroom, eavesdropping on all of your conversations
She had a thirst that could only be satiated by you
You wouldn't consider yourself anything out of the ordinary (no one at Mystic Falls would), but that's exactly what drew you to her
You were a breath of fresh air in her world of out of the ordinary experiences
You were drawn to Rebekah as well. Peeking glances at her when you thought she wasn't looking
There was something about her that separated her from anyone else you had ever met. Something alluring, something otherworldly
She moved with grace, poise, and sophistication. She was bold, confident, and flirtatious. For those reasons, you figured the gorgeous blonde would never be drawn to you
Your attraction to her made you shy and demure, something Rebekah took as a challenge
She was determined to have you and she was willing to play the long game
It started with little compliments that would cause your cheeks to heat. A sight that filled Rebekah's undead heart with glee
Pretty soon that was not enough for her and she had to up the anti
She moved on to leaving little gifts and notes on your desk that made your heart flutter and a huge grin spread across your lips
She loved seeing you smile. Especially knowing that SHE was the one who made it happen
Unfortunately, all the attention Rebekah was giving you made other people become interested in you as well. Curious to see what was so special about you that made her so invested
People started hanging around you more which drew you away from the Original
She HATED it
The straw that broke the camel's back was when Tyler Lockwood asked you out and you said yes
On the night of your date, Rebekah showed up to the Lockwood residence and threatened the life of Mrs. Lockwood in order to keep Tyler from going
After waiting for an hour, you realized you were stood up and felt humiliated
You didn't come to school the next day which upset Rebekah. After school, she went to your house to find you watching your comfort show in pajamas
You were surprised to see Rebekah at your front door and embarrassed that she was seeing you "unkempt"
Rebekah didn't care though. She thought you were absolutely beautiful
She offered to take you on a date to make up for your failed date with Tyler
That weekend Rebekah took you on a picnic date near the Falls where the two of you laughed and talked the whole time (only falling deeper in love with each other)
After that, consider Rebekah completely OBSESSED
Any amount of time she could spend with you, she would
Escorting you to school and back, walking you to all of your classes, stealing you from your friends at lunch, study sessions after school, weekend sleepovers and movie nights
She monopolized all of your time, going so far as to limit the amount of time you spent with your friends and family
She was possessive. And having love taken from her so many times before, she figured the best way to keep you safe is to have you with her at all times
