Why I like Warrior Nun so much & why you should watch it too!
The main character is like a bisexual Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She’s the “chosen one” to fight monsters and demons but she just wants to have a good time and not die. She doesn’t want to have this responsibility but she always does the right thing in the end.
Tumblr media
She also has the sass and the sarcastic, funny comments like Buffy and Wynonna Earp.
Tumblr media
WITH A DIVINE WEAPON THAT GLOWS!
Tumblr media
AND she’s badass too! With powers??
Tumblr media
She’s kinda like Supergirl too.
Aside from the sass and sarcasm, she’s also a Golden Retriever type but powerful and strong. Though she has her own kryptonite - divinium and women with dark hair who can step on them.
Tumblr media
(And she gets the girl)
Tumblr media
I love her relationship with others too! And her character development! She used to be unloved and alone most of her life until she found a family of her own!
Tumblr media
Warrior Nun is a show about a girl who was dead, but was accidentally resurrected by a Halo which gave her special abilities. Having being bed-ridden most of her life, all she wants is to be free & explore the world, despite her newfound power and responsibility of being the Warrior Nun.
The story explores choices, agency, finding your own family, and finding yourself (And badass Nuns kicking butt).
So what are you waiting for? Go watch Warrior Nun! Support this badass Queer series.
You get a creator that actually listens to their fans.
And even if it may not be the show for you, help support this show by sharing it, or Reblog, or even play it in the background to get viewership up so it can be renewed!
It may be slow in the beginning but it gets so much better! Especially Season 2.

I know we're all devastated about this, but there are things we can still do. Maybe we won't be able to get the show saved or renewed, but we can still cause massive tidal waves that makes sure this doesn't happen to future sapphic shows and stop this cycle of cancelling shows prematurely. But we have to at least try. Here's what you can do:
- Use the hashtag #SaveWarriorNun on apps like Instagram and Twitter. I know we all hate the bird app right now, but we're not going to be heard on any other apps. When you're tweeting make sure to include words or images and don't use more than three hashtags. Always check the spelling of the tag (we really don't need #SaveWarrionNun trending)
- Sign the petition, please. We're already at 50k signatures. Send it to all your friends.
- There is a request show form on the Netflix website. Request Warrior Nun season 3. There are similar forms on other streaming platform, like Hulu, and you can request to save Warrior Nun.
- Cancel Netflix. They don't deserve any more of your money, and there are other platforms you can use. One of the reasons Netflix will just straight up cancel shows is because they get new subscriptions because of the show and then they won't make another season because it costs more money. They'll then put that money towards a new show that they'll probably end up cancelling. We need to make this a bigger loss than a gain. If you really can't live without Netflix, then just cancel it for a couple weeks. We just need them to see a sudden drop in subscription numbers.
- Call the Netflix help center and file a complaint about the cancellation. I know talking to customer service can be stressful, but the calls get registered as complaints and is one of the best ways to reach Netflix directly.
- Stay salty at Netflix. Tank their rating on the app store and other websites by writing reviews. Let’s make sure everyone knows that Netflix will cancel shows before you get a chance to fall in love with it.
- Make noise. There have been a ton of articles questioning the reasoning for the cancellation, especially since Netflix hasn't put out anything official. Reach out to your favorite youtube channels and media outlets, and ask them to do a video or article about Warrior Nun and the cancellation of shows.
I love this fandom so much. You have fought for this show like nothing I've ever seen before. The holy war is nowhere near over, but it's okay if you're tired. If you need to take a break and focus on yourself for a bit, then please take care of yourself. At the end of the day, your mental health is most important thing. But if there is anything on this list that you can do, I'll really appreciate it. :)
In this life, or the next.

Funny how like 90 percent of people wanting the wilds back hate to acknowledge the fact that it's partly their fault. I want the wilds to be renewed as well, however if I DARE say yall aren't ready for it and a small part of me thinks some viewers are undeserving I'm the bad guy. Right because the vast majority of you didn't openly admit to skipping over the boys parts in the show, smh. If you arent watching the whole episode why would they want to renew it? They want views, they want money. Do I want the wilds back? Of course. Do I think the gretchen clones deserve it? No. Be better.
#just say you hate men and quit pretending it's 'only because streaming sites hate women/wlw'#you guys LITERALLY THREATENED the actors who played the boys just because they took a job in a show they thought was cool#right and you think you deserve the show to be renewed#you arent ready for that conversation yet though proven time and time again#was it only because of that? absolutely not but dont be so willing to place the blame when we blatantly see where some problems come from#am i annoyed that my replies have been deleted on some the wilds post JUST because i said i didnt mind the boys storyline?#yup#live with the consequences of your actions#the wilds#i want the show back but some of you were really nasty just because a man existed and thats not cool#in the words of waverly earp 'reverse sexism is still sexism wynonna'#shoni was cute leatin had potential but you dont get to be a horrible human#there were so many reactors skipping the boys parts or just saying things just because the boys existed and i cant watch them anymore now#THATS LITERALLY WHAT THE SHOW IS ABOUT#the show is literally about the effects misogyny/the patriarchy has on women and men#if you actually watched the show for it's content you would see that#gretchen is the bad guy for going to extremes and subjecting children to trauma just because she doesn't like men so quit acting like her#I'm not sorry for saying facts#if you're offended you might be the issue so lets take a look at that#the whole the thing is boys vs girls so why in tf would you think they wouldnt at least be brought up a little like in s2#ugh#i still hate amazon for canceling it

Whenever Warrior Nun first dropped, it was nice how there was a small little fandom that appreciated the show for what it is. Now, seeing that Warrior Nun is getting the love and praise it deserves, it gives those who were here since the beginning such an amazing feeling.

Top 10 WLW ships ranked based on how much I like em (coz no one is stopping me)
1. Bea Smith & Allie Novak (Ballie from Wentworth) - they were so special and sweet, their story was tragic but well written and portrayed and I'm still not over it.
2. Waverly Earp & Nicole Haught (Wayhaught from Wynonna Earp) - very cute, very gay, 12/10.
3. Ava Sharpe & Sara Lance (Avalance from Legends of tomorrow) - their relationship was actually central to the show quite a bit, they made a lot of human mistakes and fixed them, got married, very nice.
4. Alex Vause & Piper Chapman (Vauseman from Orange is the new black) - super toxic, would not recommend this relationship irl BUT on tv it works. Pragmatic Morticia Adams x annoying golden retriever combo slaps.
5. Scylla Ramshorn & Raelle Collar (Raella from Motherland fort salem) - the lovers to enemies to lovers is always fun. Plus they got gay married which is bonus points in this arbitrary system.
6. Eve & Villanelle (Villaneve from Killing Eve) - They'd be higher up if they had more time together. Unique relationship though, they were in love. Shite ending.
7. Clarke Griffin & Lexa (Clexa from The 100) - what can I say, they were good but the show was bad.
8. Ava & Beatrice (Avatrice from Warrior Nun) - we deserved more of them :( they were a really sweet couple though, both equally fucked in the cosmic sense and now they get to be together wahoo.
9. Alex Danvers & Kello Olsen (Dansen from Supergirl) - well written couple, finally giving Alex a nice plotline, family and all.
10. Lena Luthor & Kara Danvers (Supercorp from Supergirl) - Not canon why question mark. The fandom made this ship good but it definitely deserved to happen on screen.
Edit: Warrior Nun got renewed (!!!!) so they're in 7th and Clexa in 8th

When Emily Andras decided to make Nicole Haught a main character and gave Katherine Barrell a credit in the opening titles in Season 3, that’s when I fell in love with ‘Wynonna Earp’. I mean it was a great show to watch before then, don’t get me wrong. But it’s just so hard and so rare to get any WLW/queer characters as main characters these days in TV art/entertainment without either the show being immediately cancelled or that character/the character that that character loves being immediately killed off. Look at ‘Warrior Nun’ with Ava and Beatrice. As soon as there was canonship between those main characters - cancelled. No Season 3 renewal. Look at ‘First Kill’ with Juliette and Calliope - cancelled. After only 1 season where they didn’t even have any sort of closure to the relationship that they had. In fact they had a massive traumatizing break up. That’s how they ended the show because it couldn’t be renewed for a 2nd season. Netflix outright refused to give them any opportunity for reconciliation. That’s been the way it is recently in the TV art/entertainment industry with network and streaming service TV shows with canon WLW ships. Either that or by one or both in the WLW ship being killed off or being separated from each other. Just a colossal unsuccessful and unsatisfying endgame for WLW/queer female main characters over and over again. That’s all that ever seems to happen!
So ‘Wynonna Earp’ (even though it was also cancelled in its 3rd season but the fans rallied and fought so fucking hard for a 4th season that they had to uncancel it) has been one of the very few TV shows that survived and succeeded in actually consistently providing WLW representation between queer female main characters. WayHaught are a canon WLW ship in a supernatural/fantasy show that got a happy ending.
But when Emily Andras made the decision to make the side/season regular/recurring character, Nicole Haught, a main character after a straight POC male character, Deputy Marshal Xavier Dolls, had died because Shamier Anderson wanted to leave the show (he got an absolutely amazing send off by the way), that’s when I really fell in love with all this show was because imagine how hard Andras had to fight for it. To get Katherine Barrell in the opening titles. I’m sure it was a no-brainer for Andras from the get-go to do this but the SYFY network was a whole battle, wasn’t it? Because from their perspective, apparently you just don’t do that. You don’t have WLW/queer female main characters that are in a canon committed relationship/romance story arc along with their own individual character representation and development main narrative arcs. That’s absolutely not the status quo so that must be prevented at all costs. And if it ever makes it, immediately do something to stop it. Cancel the show or kill one or both of them off. Just make sure that WLW/queer ships do not happily end.
So the entire ‘Wynonna Earp’ team and its amazingly dedicated Earper community fanbase achieved what is essentially impossible. Not only consistently provide WLW/queer representation through a beloved canon committed WLW relationship/romance story arc between queer females that are both main characters with their own respective individual main narratives. But also have them end successfully and satisfyingly. It’s the hardest and rarest thing to achieve these days but they somehow pulled it off in this… what I can only honestly call a WLW-phobic TV art/entertainment industry because they refuse to allow it to happen.
I absolutely fucking love ‘Wynonna Earp’ and its creators/cast/crew/community now because it’s given me something that I’ve never had before that means more to me than I could ever communicate in words that I will be most grateful for for the rest of my life:
4 seasons worth of a supernatural/fantasy TV show with 2 queer female main characters in with their own respective individual character representation and development main narratives that are in a longtime WLW/queer canon committed romantic relationship that have a successful and satisfying endgame in that they end in the show as a happily married couple with their whole lives ahead of them and so much more to look forward to on the horizon despite the dangerous and harsh environment that they live in as is often the case in supernatural/fantasy Universes.
If ‘WYNONNA EARP’ can provide that level of WLW/queer representation, then every show can provide it. There’s no excuses. They’ve just got to battle like hell to provide it. And they will if they’re dedicated enough. If they’re as adamant as Andras and know how best to make the people that want it (which is more than you think) wrap their entire support system around it. It’s very hard but it’s very possible. Clearly. ‘Cause Andras and the entire ‘Wynonna Earp’ team and community proved it through WayHaught.

Beatrice: You know, if I just happen to blow off work, and we just pass by…
Ava: You’d do that for me?
Beatrice: I’d do a lot of things to you
Ava: F-for me?
Beatrice, realizing what she said: Yep-that-too!

So you want to help out the #SaveWarriorNun twitter campaign?
First of all, thank you so much. The show deserves to be saved, and this is one of the best ways we can get our voices heard.
There are a couple rules to follow, so you don't end up wasting your time:
ALWAYS check the spelling of the tag. Twitter likes to suggest the wrong spelling for the tag, and we could reach our goals much faster if nobody used #SaveWarrioNun. Make a text shortcut in your phone. You’ll avoid spelling mistakes and it’s a hell of a lot easier.
Don't just spam the tag, that doesn't do anything. Make sure to either have at least 3 words or an image. The best tweets are the ones with a couple words and an image.
Don’t use more than 2 hashtags. Try and leave 1-2 minutes before posting a new tweet with hashtag.
Retweet every tweet you see with the tag. Retweets get catalogued as tweets, and they increase the engagement of the tag. I don't care if someone tweets "I like spaghetti, " if it has the tag, retweet it. Retweeting is one of the easiest ways we get more tweets.
LIKE, RT, REPLY. This is how we make the most noise.
Once again, thank you so much. I appreciate you all. Seriously, I love every single one of you. Please add anything I might have missed.
In this life, or the next.

I'm a bit surprised how many people are against the UK billboard! I did donate, but I never expected this billboard to have the same effect or visibility as the Times Square one... And of course, I also don't expect it to have real impact on whether we get picked up or not. I thought we might get a few news articles about it in the UK and a morale boost from it.
I understand the concerns about the fundraiser transparency, of course. I don't know how other fandoms have done these fundraisers, whether they've been better at organizing them... There's certainly a lot to learn!
I've seen some people suggest that we shouldn't buy another billboard because... we already had one? I was just reading about the Wynonna Earp campaign and apparently they bought over 250 billboards between s3 and s4 when the show ran out of funding (I also found a Twitter thread with pics of 100 Times Square billboards they bought). If they had that many, then how is 2 billboards for OFMD overkill?
This fandom gets hate for the campaign no matter what we do, even for just tweeting about the show... Isn't visibility exactly what our campaign needs, though? Are we going to tone down the campaign just so we don't get harassed? I don't really see the point in trying to protect the fandom, when the only way to really do that is to completely shut up about the show. And I certainly won't be shutting up about it :D
Anyway. These are just my thoughts on the subject. I'm very curious to see the new billboard! We'll probably learn a lot from it, from how it affects the fandom and how the press reacts to it (if they do)... And of course, how DJ reacts to it.
OMG IM SO SORRY ANON! Yesterday blew up and I never got a chance to get back to you!
I'm with you-- I'm sure there is always something more to learn! I had read the transparency policy a few times right before it was announced (cause I was asked to put it up on my repository), and it seemed like it was pretty straight forward-- but obviously some things needed to be clarified! From what I've seen on the Save OFMD Crew Discord since then, they're working on taking feedback and are going to be updating it to make it more clear.
I also saw that there was a vote going on about leaving the website the same, and I think that passed, but dont quote me on that.
HOLLLY SHIT 250 billboards!? WOW. Well I'm glad they found some funding, jeez! And hey-- it worked right? I think they got their renewal, or at least they're getting a finale.
I respect your thoughts on the subject and I really apreciate you reaching out and expressing them! It's good to hear multiple points of view on it. I definitely agree that there's always going to be someone mad about the fandom. It's just hard I think for our friends who have been around and probably have PTSD from all the hate by this point. I think that means we, the folks still able to do it, should be the front liners on all this and help fight that hate back.
I offer this freely-- if I have the time, and you are running into problems with hate inside the fandom, hit me up. I enjoy being a polite menace and talking through things with people. I got my degree in International Studies/Relations so I have a lot of experience with talking through things-- and I'm more than happy to help if I can!
I am excited to see what happens with the billboard, come good or bad. Thanks anon for writing in, and so sorry again for the delay!
Sending love <3

RENEW WARRIOR NUN BITCHES
So basically I'm gonna make a text about my thoughts on Warrior Nun so I can participate in overflowing the Internet into forcing Netflix to renew that show.
Basically, I've watched as numerous production canceled sapphic shows all throughout 2020-2022: I'm Not Okay With This, First Kill, The Wilds, Gentleman Jack, Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, etc. I've watched as the Bury Your Gays trope unfolded: The 100, Killing Eve, The Walking Dead, IT Chapter 2, and more. Literally, the only shows I can think about that did good for sapphic representation were Wynnona Earp and Adventure Time (where both couples are secondary characters, Wynonna and Finn being the mains), and She-Ra and the princesses of Power.
Now, representation in media is literally crucial. I realized I was not straight after seeing Marceline and Bubblegum kiss on TV. Not only that, but I also realized I was not alone, I was okay, I had a beautiful life ahead of me. For me, realizing I was a lesbian was not a trial, it was not hard or painful. It was freeing. It wasn't accepting I would have to fight my way through life, it was realizing I wouldn't die alone like I thought I would.
My friends, who are bookworms, are dragging me through libraries after libraries, and I watch as they squeal over shirtless men on the book covers and discuss if they would rather date him or him, while the only LGBTQ+ book I can find are sexualised version of m/m relationship (which is a real problem, we need to talk about that more).
Back to Warrior Nun.
As I said, representation in media, especially media targeting a young adult audience, is crucial. Warrior Nun helped me deal with both my internalised homophobia (I didn't realize gay people existed until I was fifteen, when I literally went to a gay wedding when I was nine) and my religious trauma, which I thought nobody would ever understand. I strayed away from the catholic church because I didn't like being told how to love someone (a God, in that situation), which tracks, because I would discover I am a lesbian years later.
Not only that, but I discovered Warrior Nun when I was having a really bad time and it got me back on my feet and gave me a stick to fight my way back into my life.
I will not stand as they erase another part of our identity. This is complete bullshit and I've had enough, honestly. I cried for three hours after watching Lexa die on TV because I thought that's what they wanted to do to me.
I will stomp my feet and make noise and I don't give a single fuck if people call me dramatic. In french, we have a saying: “la goutte d’eau qui fait déborder le vase”; the drop of water that makes the vase spill, and this is a complete waterfall.
And if I have to get on my knees and pray to a God that has forsaken me to get what I want, then I sure as Hell will.
