the way I see it (or the way I'd like to see it written) megatron is fundamentally incorrect in treating optimus as if he is a completely different entity from orion pax, but megatron also isn't stupid. how do you square those two facts? optimus really isn't helping his own case - being prime really did change him, not as literally as megatron thinks, but it is difficult to see your former friend in someone who has ceased acting like a person. see, selflessness might have always been a part of orion, but optimus feels obligated to ramp it up to a pathological degree, proportionally (in his opinion) to the amount of responsibility he has. to him it's the most obvious thing in the world, so he never lets his guard down and never explains it. but, and here's the thing, to megatron self-preservation and self-respect are markers of personhood (which he has had to viciously defend). so of course, looking at optimus 'sacrifice for the greater good' prime he would only see some creepy drone that doesn't think for itself and about itself.

Imagine making this scene but in AOP, Where Optimus Prime is dying and the part where he gave Eren the Matrix of Leadership and tell him to watch over and protect the Matrix and tell him to take care of his comrade and himself, before his last word where " Til....All...Are.....One....." Recently I had the experience of a woman making a joke about her being bad at maths using “girl math” for the first time. One of the things I hate about femininity is how it encourages incapability; it encourages women to feel better about their learned helplessness by packing incapability as part of being a woman or girl.

Don’t you push your fear of failure, discomfort-averse “just a girl”. I have sympathy for you that you were encouraged to follow that path because you were a girl but it is not the “girl path”.

You know what would be the worst? If at the end of the war when all is said and done, after the clones lost every little thing they had, after Vaders rise and the Jedi’s fall, after all that death and hardship and misery? It would be terrible to be a clone and wake up like suddenly coming out of a coma, in a stasis chamber that they grew up in and rarely left, there was the craziest dream just before and there’s the lingering feeling something important just happened, this is Kamino 35bby, all the information they were just fed is already neatly stored in their perfect flash-memory brain. No ones died yet, all of that was a simulation based on a calculation of events to instal orders and hone the discipline of troops. It’s dark, there’s no way of telling if anyone or anything exists beyond the boundary’s of the inside. There’s a designated call sign and designation along with vitals displayed in the line of vision, it’s also counting down the seconds to when a new simulation is set to begin.

I just watched the matrix for the first time and I really like the movie I can see why it must've blown everyone's minds in 1999 but personally I have seen so many sci fi movies and marvel movies in the current climate it seems a but dated though the commentary on ai and human isolation and oblivion really ahead of it's time given that the internet was just starting out then

Also I have crush on keanu he's such a lovely man and he is so handsome especially in the 90s I can see why my mom and dad had posters of him lol

It may seem dated now, but The Matrix is a historical landmark - in a society where the internet was just beginning to infiltrate our lives to the point of being an essential part of them - and its formula has been copied by many other cinematographic works for a long time. Some of the concepts and subjects of the film are still very current. Yes, Keanu is simply a gentle and sweet human being too much for Hollywood standards. And beautiful (one of my first cinematic crush’s).

klavier can of course canonically drive, but i think he's got a really loose grasp on the rules of the road because he started illegally driving around the german countryside aged, like, 15, in a beaten up cast-off from his rich father's classic car collection. and i think maybe by the time he passes his test aged 17 there's some slight nepotism involved because he's already in the gavinners? like for some reason he and ema have to drive somewhere at work and klavier goes fully over the kerb and naturally ema rips the shit out of him, and klavier's like 'i'd still pass my test though' (which is exactly what happened) and ema is like '...???????'.

anyway to compound matters he also definitely never did the extra test to be able to ride a motorcycle. he doesn't even know there's an extra test for motorcycles. he just walked into a shop and bought one, because what are you going to do, not sell the motorbike to harry styles, um i mean klavier gavin? also we have never even seen a hint of a helmet around him so i think that he doesn't wear one 'because he doesn't want to mess up his hair'.
