I love how we go from episode 3 “no one ever figured out what Dazai’s former occupation was” to episode 5 “Dazai corrects someone in detail on the mafia’s revenge mo”

the music in WOT is never random. even if it's just very soft background music, it's relevant to the scene. practically every time there's music playing while egwene is onscreen during s2, the tune is egwene's theme, rearranged and reinstrumentated in dozens of different ways to match the tone of the particular scene. mat has quick little snippets of his theme tune play during various scenes of his, often mixed with the old blood theme from s1, and it finally blares out in full glory for the first time during the horn of valere scene, to parallel how mat is truly finding himself for the first time. even secondary characters like liandrin, siuan, and aviendha have their own dedicated theme tunes that play during their scenes and are never repurposed as background music in other characters' scenes. and all the themes have lyrics in the old tongue that suit the character or concept the theme is about! in conclusion, lorne balfe is truly doing the Most, and i'm so grateful he's the composer for WOT and i hope he'll return for every season the show goes for.

i have never watched riverdale but i want you to know whenever you talk about cheryl blossom i creep closer and closer to the series because the way you hype her up is so insane to me i need to witness her first hand im obsessed. and also the archie posting is delightful i know nothing of this man but i like him from what i have seen. you are my only source of riverdale and now i dare to ask, since the show ended do you think its worth it for newcomers to pick up? especially for cheryl blossom. thank you

oh i am SO glad you asked because the answer is absolutely YES it is SO worth it to watch. i promise you that no matter how much i may post about it, witnessing it firsthand will forever be its own truly beautiful experience. cheryl especially- i can describe how unhinged and awesome she is, but u truly just have to see for urself her absolutely insane line delivery. u just have to HEAR her saying shit like "oh tt i had the most HORRIBLE phantasmagoria" aloud. u just have to watch her flouncing around in her flowy gothic heroine outfits while holding a candelabra and drenching herself in pig's blood to force her mother to emancipate her and shooting people with a bow and arrow and such..... no description can truly hope to do cheryl blossom justice. its so important that she is both the world's number one girlboss and also so amazingly cringefail i would die for her. theres like a multi-episode arc where shes freaking out bc a girl she likes wont answer her emails. but also she gaslit her relatives into thinking they had cannibalized her uncle over thanksgiving dinner. NO ONE does it like her. character of all time <3 it is just so worth it to watch all of her cheryl-isms unfold. no post could ever sum it all up

wait, I thought DD s2 ended around Christmas time cause I remember seeing christmas trees and menorahs before matt tells karen he's daredevil?

I thought of that yes! The inherent issue I ran into is the staggering amount of people who kinda put their trees, lights, etc up the second they can (I'll have to check for the menorah, I remember the lights and trees though definitely). Sometimes people put their Christmas gear up in October and others only post-Thanksgiving, and so I was left grumbling as I tried to find some indicator to use of when exactly in the Christmas season this all is. If I have to nudge the date a bit, I can, though, and things will still play out the same.

the three consecutive interrogation scenes in 2x02 are one of my favorite parts of season two because you just get to see how terrible and dysfunctional the agency trio are as individuals.

you've got farah in full-on existential crisis mode rambling self-deprecations and organizing pens because she's SO UNWELL. todd "I have rights. is this some kind of fascist thing?" brotzman going full douchebag mode the moment he realizes tina's a fan. because he IS trying to be a better person, but sometimes he can't help himself. and then there's dirk. being himself. per usual. he doesn't know who sherlock holmes is because he's a runaway government experiment and also he just doesn't care, but god is he going to infodump about his past cases and methodology for as long as physically possible because someone FINALLY wants to listen.

rewatching vbros with me and emil's obsessive & insane titled "autism doc" that we fill out & write out at length after each episode . i am calmed by the fact that i like the early seasons (so far. we are only finishing up s2 rn) so so so much, and ik i like so many eps in s3, i am curious to see if i still hate the narrative tank in s4 & to see how much i dont like the narrative direction of the NY seasons . but i will always have the first few seasons to remember so fondly
