Hello! I hope that you are doing well!

I just wanted to send you a question regarding the amount of power Rhea has in Fódlan since something came to my mind. You know how during Edelgard's coronation, she said to her father that, "The Archbishop of the Church of Seiros would normally act as witness, but my professor will fill that role instead"?

Unless I missed something [or am overthinking], do you believe that Rhea was even there to witness Ionius' coronation?

We were told in the game that it had been ages since a member of House Hresvelg enrolled into the Officers Academy as well as that there had recently been a rift between the Adrestian Empire and the Church of Seiros.

Therefore, to me at least, that implied that said rift had been going on for a while. And I do not see why they would allow her there if such a thing was going on. Yet, Rhea does not retaliate against this as far as I know. Then there is the fact that Edelgard is allowed to be coronated without Byleth's presence. The Southern Church was dismantled, too, so…I think it is safe to say that there was not an official to witness her from there as well. lol

To put it simply, it feels very contradictory to me and adds a crack into the "Rhea controls Fódlan" perspective.

I agree, that NPC going all "the empire and hthe church cut ties eons agao that's why supreme leader is the first imperial heir to attend since ages" suggests Rhea wasn't very welcomed in Enbarr.

FWIW the Nopes book about the Southern Church incident reveals the Emperor of that time already wanted to cut ties with the Central Church - and used this rebellion (which was more or less a Varley daughter wanting to have a role instead of letting her bother inherit everything?) as an excuse to finally give them the boot.

In a nutshell, I heavily doubt Rhea was around when Ionius was coronated, if her Church was already "not welcomed" by the time the Southern Church was disbanded.

The Archbishop acting as witness might be just some sort of old ceremonial thing, just like the "covenant of the red blood and the white sword", maybe all coronations try to renact the "oath" Wilhelm took/swore to Seiros when she presumably made him Emperor of Adrestia? And the Archbishop acts as a stand in for Seiros (even if we know better!) when the oath is sworn again by Willy's descendants?

As you pointed out, the Archbishop being present or not is merely decorum, since nowhere the game suggests that in the non-CF routes, Supreme Leader's coup coronation isn't regular or anything.

Rhea controlling Fodlan isn't backed up by canon, Adrestia has been doing its own thing for several centuries, the CoS only provides help (the game doesn't tell us what it is!) to Faerghus : Dimitri becomes King not because Rhea crowns or splashes oil on him, but because he is the Crown Prince and the last heir of the previous King. As for the Alliance, it does its own thing without her input!

she’s honestly just the best at giving aftercare

rip rhea royce, you seemed cool so even though i knew your death was coming i’m a bit sad about it. at least you got to bully daemon before the end.

loved that we got to see larys strong do a bit of scheming and i am quite excited to see where his character will go.

house velaryon and driftmark seem extremely cool, hope we do end up getting a spin-off about them someday.

corlys i am TRYING to stan you but trying to marry off your daughter at 12 and saying your gay son “will grow out of it” is not great behavior.

i do love that rhaenys and corlys are a total power couple who clearly respect and love each other a lot.

i liked the the scene of rhaenyra and laenor walking on the beach and forming their alliance/friendship very much since i’ve always interpreted them as being friends.

i’m glad we got to see some of the relationship between laenor and joffrey before things went south, they seemed really good together and i do wish they had gotten their life of a king consort and his sworn bodyguard.

of the different rumors surrounding rhaenyra and criston cole’s falling-out i have always thought the one where he suggested they run away together and she turned him down made the most sense so i’m glad they went with that one.

i also appreciated that his bitterness towards her is not just “criston’s crush doesn’t like him as much as he likes her” but also his sense of ruined honor.

the velaryons entering the wedding was ICONIC, they are legends, they are the moment, i love them.

it was nice seeing seasmoke and meleys but where! is! vhagar!

lyonel strong remains the only person on this show with common sense.

daemon showing up to rhaenyra’s wedding feast despite being in exile was legendary, i expected no less.

also rhaenyra being mean to him when they were dancing and throwing his words back at him was excellent.

alicent entering the feast in her green dress and calling rhaenyra “stepdaughter” was such a power move i literally cannot wait for her villain era.

that wedding was So Fucking Stressful even though i knew going in roughly what was going to happen i was on the edge of my seat.

oh joffrey, if only you were not so good at sussing out who is sleeping together and criston could be normal about his break-up things might have had a much happier ending :(

was hoping we would get more than the few harwin strong crumbs that we did buuuut it seems like he’ll be important in episode 6.

Rhea herself was only 15. There was no love between the two. Daemon found the Vale boring, his lady wife included. Still, they did their marital duty. Half a year later, in the early months of 98 AC, lady Rhea discovered she was with child. To everyone's surprise, the Prince was delighted. Most delighted of all was the Good Queen Alysanne. Just a year prior, her granddaughter Aemma Arryn delivered a baby girl, Rhaenyra. Another great-grandchild was on the way and it warmed the heart of the Good Queen."

In the high mountains of the Vale, in the early hours of the sixth day of the tenth month of 98 AC, Lady Rhea began her labors. After several discussions, it was decided that she would give birth at Runestone. Lady Rhea wasn't fond of how busy and packed the Red Keep seemed to be. She wanted to give birth in the comfort of her own home. And so she did. 

After many hours, the child was born. It was a girl. A healthy babe, with strong lungs and an even stronger appetite, the girl was named Daena. Some at court speculated that Daemon named the girl after himself, but Rhea claimed that her daughter was named in honor of the late Princess Daella, who was the wife of Lord Rodrick Arryn and the Lady of the Vale. Either way, after the news of Daena's birth reached the Old King and his Good Queen, the bells of the Great Sept in King's Landing rang for an entire day. 

The young lady Rhea adored her daughter. She fed the child at her own breast and refused a wet nurse. As would be expected, the little girl took after her father and had the traditional Valyrian features of House Targaryen - pale lilac eyes and silver-gold hair. The father, Prince Daemon, was also smitten by his daughter. 

"Ñuha zaldrītsos", the Prince whispered in High Valyrian as he rocked the newborn in his arms.

Here it is! My first HOTD fanfic! This is obviously just the prologue and it is quite short, but I enjoy it. I also plan on writing other HOTD/GOT fanfics as well, but I will do one series at a time.

Relation: Saiph's half-brother. Neither currently knows the other exists

Hi! What are the powers of each ro? what makes them "special" and mc?

I won't give a super detailed explanation since Rhea already went into all of it in Chapter 1 but a quick recap: You're either born with magic or you aren't.

If you are, you're a magician. There's three types; Soul magicians (magic comes from intentions/morals/beliefs, considered the most powerful, magic can have harmful effects on their body), Heart magicians (magic comes from emotions, less powerful, magic can visibly be seen in use), and Luck magicians (have magic in their veins but can't use it, since they still have magic the world seems to like them and 'lucky' things happen to them, hence the term).

BA has a pretty soft magic system, so you can theoretically do w/e you want with magic with certain limits. Soul magicians can't use magic at all if it goes against their beliefs + it can hurt their bodies. Heart magicians magic is as powerful as the emotions they're currently feeling. Heart magicians are also the only ones compatible with Death Creatures (ghosts, wraiths, poltergeists, etc), although that's pretty rare and no one knows why. With all that said:

Soul Magicians: Rook and Rhea

Heart Magicians: Beck and Lars

Luck Magician: Zoe

Not a magician: ??? and MC

Beck and Lars are both special because their magic is compatible with Death, but they're still Heart Magicians and so their magic is seen as weaker. Rook's magic...isn't strong, and Rhea's magic is average. ??? isn't a magician and can't use magic at all. What MC can do is up to you since there are a few options. You can find a magic item to use (making you a mage), you can get into necromancy, or you can pick the terrible decision to make a deal with something to use magic (making you a warlock). You can also not do any of that and remain without magic/death abilities. Each decision has their own unique consequences.

It should also be noted Death and Magic are opposites of each other, so necromancy isn't considered magic in this world. If anything, it's just blasphemy lol

thinking about something right now -

of course FE16 never tells us in details what Rhea wanted her trash Mom to do when she'd return, but assuming she expected Sothis to rez the fallen Nabateans...

It'd add an extra layer of angst when Flamey'n'Metodey rob the Holy Tomb and pillage the remains of the ones entombed there!

Rhea says the Chalice cannot reconstruct a body, so what if she expected Sothis to "recreate" Nabateans from their remains - because something remains of them let it be bones or crest stones ?

Flamey using the bones and Crest stones as weapons would :

1/ mirror what Nemesis did

2/ desacrate even more her fallen brethrens and see them as things rather than people

3/ prevent them from being re-created if Sothis cared about her children

eff it, i'm adopting (lel) this headcanon.

TJD anniversary headcannons

you knew that rhea loved her family more than anything and it was really hard for her to be away from them all the time

so you arranged a trip for you both to visit her parents in australia for your anniversary

when you gave her the tickets she was absolutely over the moon about it

continuously showering you in kisses and affection

you were really worried at first because you thought she wanted it to be just the two of you on your anniversary but she quickly proved that thought wrong

Dom

You both had been wanting to get matching tattoos for awhile so you thought your anniversary was the perfect time to get them

after you got them you went home and spent the rest of the day doing your favorite things

playing a lot of video games and eating loads of junk food and snacks

it was very simple but you rarely got to spent time with eachother anymore due to dom being away all the time

Damian, being ever the romantic he was,decided to plan your whole anniversary and not tell you anything about it until the day

you diddnt see him until the night of your anniversary, just getting a text from him telling you to dress nice

later that night he picked you up,looking handsome as ever ,holding a bouquet of red and white roses and took you to this really nice restaurant you’d wanted to go to for awhile

after that you diddn’t think the night could get any better

so when you woke up and saw the space next to you in bed was empty, you were sad realising your plans had been ruined

you went downstairs to see what he was doing as he was never usually up this early

you were shocked to find out that he was in fact making you breakfast in bed and you’d ruined the suprise by waking up, much to finns dismay

you decided to still go through with your plan and you and finn just not tell each other what you were making

finn made you some waffles with strawberries and blueberries, you made him some pancakes and you both had a lovely morning spending time together

Wrestlers if they had their own lightsticks

So my kpop and wrestling stan ass had the brilliant idea of imagining what would be if wrestlers had their own lightstick, like kpop lightsticks...also if in case this doesnt flop, this will be part 1! if anyone wants to design it, go for it, but just know that this ideas came from my brain cells!! the colour of the light would be white, clear, but it would be possible to change it to orange

Their lightstick would be like black handle or part to hold it, idk his name so it will be called handle, deal with it

the light part would be a globe with barbed wire around it

the whole lightstick would be decorated with red stains

the colour of the light would be white and could be switched to red

The Judgement Day

it would also be all black

quite similar to the lightstick of Dreamcatcher (if you don't know, go look it up heheheh) but its a big lightstick, literally

the sphere or globe part, aka the top part, would be coloured in a clear purple, and inside the sphere and on top of the light part would be a balance/scales with plates that it shakes

the light would be white so when it lits up it looks like the balance is on purple fire

in the top part would be a head of snake
