Here's a link to the announcement on their website.
It looks like Paizo is making their big move with the fears and rumors around the OGL situation. They've noted before that they're confident that Pathfinder 2nd Edition didn't have to be published under the OGL, and that they only did so to make it easier for people making third party material. Rather than having to switch to a new license and setup, they could continue just using the OGL.
Now, with even the rumor that WotC would roll back the OGL, they're going to be funding the creation of their own Open RPG Creative (ORC) License. Their goal for this is to be truly open, system agnostic, perpetual, and (most importantly given the current fears) irrevocable. Additionally, they don't intend to own this ORC License, instead trusting it to a third party of some kind, preferably a nonprofit with a strong dedication to open source licenses. This would put it outside of their control to meddle with it in the future, or for anyone who purchases Paizo (like say Hasbro) from being able to do so.
They're opening up a mailing list for anyone to see their drafts and provide feedback, and they already have a large list of publishers who are signing on for it, including Kobold Press, Chaosium, Green Ronin, and many others.
If this works as they're saying, it would be a huge deal for small publishers. A license that any system or game could be put under, out of control of any large corporation, that would allow the best parts of the OGL to be spread to many other companies and independent creators. I think regardless of how things shake out with the OGL, this is going to have a big impact on the TTRPG industry as a whole. The OGL as written was good for a lot of third party groups, but it did all funnel back to giving D&D a much larger market dominance, which this one shouldn't repeat in exactly the same way. Rather than most of the works for the OGL supporting D&D in particular, this ORC may have the chance to raise many games.

Hello! I was watching this Adam Savage video on youtube and it's about antique swords at the MET, so naturally I thought of you. It's a rather recent one titled "Adam Savage Meets Real Ancient Swords!" on Adam Savage's Tested channel. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it, because it was so interesting. Sadly, I can't add a link, but it should be easy to find with the title. Hope you're having a great day!
I've actually already seen this, but many thanks for thinking of me; that\s how I get to see / hear / read stuff I'd otherwise miss!
it's a great video, and I immediately showed it to @dduane because Adam reacted in the same way I would have done - even to the sword he liked best, which of course indicates his excellent taste in weapons...
:-D
Here's the link:
youtube
Conservator Sean Belair mentions (at 6:17) "...another identical one floating around..." This photo shows several; Darksword Armoury, Albion Swords and Ronin Katana repros, and two museum originals.
Tumblr media
The one Sean refers to, given his use of "identical", is probably the "Harriet Dean" sword which reappeared a few years ago.
Tumblr media
These "Dean" swords were a pair acquired by Dr Bashford Dean, the Met's first curator of arms and armour, one of which he donated to the museum. The second was held by his sister Harriet and, on her death, was auctioned off and vanished (probably into a private collection) for three-quarters of a century before turning up at Christies in 2015.
Its value was estimated at £70-100,000 and it went for £386,500 (!) - but where it went, to a museum collection or back into private hands, I have no idea...

a while back you did a poll for b.e.n.t stickers, was wondering if life got too busy for the stickers to happen? cuz like, it's a-okay if it did, was just wonderin bc I finally got sm money to spend and stickers are always fun! plus it helps support you, and i like the funny dudes. they're all traumatized, but i love 'em anyways. wonder if ronin ever looked at robo don and mistook him for a robo cop. only for robo don to pull out the flamethrower to bake c o o k i e s. (yes that post still rotates in my head)
the stickers are still a work in progress! I am mainly just figuring out some issues with my banking :)
I'm working on a couple of designs,
a Taxi-Nardo sticker with all of them hanging off him, a "get BENT mother fucker" variant for each of the fellas and a Ronin "know peace but take no shit"
I really wanna polish em for the best quality possible :D (I am also very open to suggestions)
Ronin sometimes is incredibly sleepy and out of it so some mornings it turns into a Benny hill chase between the two with Don bot running for his circuits (and yes that doodle rotates my head as well)

Given the situation with the Open Game License going on right now I think it's best if independent tabletop game developers talk to lawyers right away. Whether they have or haven't used D&D related content under the OGL they should still prepare for litigation. Paizo, Green Ronin Publishing, Kobald Press, Ghostfire Games, White Wolf, Fantasy Flight, any and all indie devs should prepare. And if possible they should contact and work together, unite against Hasbro and WotC.

Hey do you have any reccomendations for Tabletop RPGs? I've pretty much only used D&D 5e but with the WOTC's latest acts of fuckery I'm wanting to move to some different games.
This is quite a broad question so while I would appreciate knowing what type of game you're looking for by the phrasing of your question it seems you've no specific problem with the game of D&D 5e itself and your problem is more with the company. I'll thus keep my answers limited to what I consider games in the general wheelhouse of D&D: action adventure fantasy.
Pathfinder 2e. Pathfinder is very much the big non-D&D fantasy game on the market and it's got a lot going for it: most of it is familiar to D&D players all the way down to mechanics, it has a free online rules reference called the Archive of Nethys which contains all the rules of the game and not just a stripped down set of basic rules, and it has a lot of ongoing support in the form of adventure paths and supplements. It is more rules-heavy compared to 5e, but that is not necessarily a bad thing: its systemic nature means that while there are more rules to learn, the GM has to make fewer off-the-cuff rulings.
Fantasy AGE. Green Ronin's house system, originally developed for their Dragon Age RPG and then turned into a generic fantasy RPG. Characters are made by choosing one of the four generic classes, Warrior, Mage, Rogue, or Envoy, and then specializing. Uses a 3d6 system with one of the dice as a special effect dice that generates stunt points for you to use on attacks and maneuvers. Aims to be more cinematic than D&D, not sure how well it does that.
Break!! The one action adventure RPG I'm looking forward to the most at the moment: very much a D&D-like albeit with a unique setting and aesthetic. Heavily inspired by video games and anime. Absolutely gorgeous and just looks fun. Very much looking forward to this one. It was recently Kickstarted (I was one of the backers) and the full release should be around the corner.
Rolemaster. If you're insane like me you might get a kick out of playing a stupid fantasy game with lots of tables. If you check the #rolemaster tag on my blog you will find me talking about this game that is actually the best and makes D&D look like a dumb baby game for dumb babies. (Note: don't actually get into Rolemaster unless you're already a weird type of guy who enjoys huge lookup tables or wishes to become one.)
Now I may have misinterpreted your question and you may be looking for something completely different from D&D. If so, let me know, and also let me know what specific wishes you have from an RPG. That way I can better recommend you more games. :)

brutal new post ;; i cant imagine what it must be like for jigen after lupin's... you know :(((
oh dear anon you shouldn't have asked that question @dagmartoons already knows what its called but Ill just call this one
The Ronin Ending
This pathway is a deviating Alternate Ending that occurs after whatever variant of A Choice in Eventualities, found here, happens. Whether Lupin dies, either on his own or with assistance, this arc is going to happen. The severity of how it ends however, is highly dependent on a bunch of variables.
Basically, the arc goes like this.
What did it mean to be a Ronin?
In feudal Japan, a ronin was a warrior without a master, who travels the country offering his service to anyone in need of a sword to hire. But unlike the lonesome cowboy or gunman in Western movies, the ronin in Japanese culture has always had a tragic dimension, a dawning sense of failure.
Following the loss of Lupin, Jigen is himself lost. Though he does not feel guilt over his friends passing, if his friends make the decision for him, that does not mean he is well and good in terms of stability.
In the end none of them are. If lupin was to actually end up dying, EVERYONE would start spiraling, though it would be Jigen who would hurt the worst. It would hurt and affect Jigen more, and despite his friends rallying beside him trying their best to hold on and offer support, Jigen on the other hand does not take his friends death well at all.
So much so, that a week after Lupin's death, Jigen goes missing. He disappears.
Then come the News reports
Tumblr media
Five o'clock, Ten o'clock and the breaking news all start to report the near massacres happening throughout the city. All mobsters or those with mob ties All shot All left dead like carrion in the street
Everyone knows whose doing it in short time.
No one stops him
Everyone’s scared of him, even the police.
For who could be so bold, so daring as to do such a terrible thing by themselves in near broad daylight, with no help and a singel gun at his side.
And yet his proficiency, his fluidness, it’s all amazing as well as terrifying. Jigen went underground when he left the mafia but he’s back now and making a new name for himself along the way, as well as a new death wish
Tumblr media
Now that Lupin's no longer around to be the one person who keeps him grounded, he's gone back to doing the single thing he knew he was good at.. killing.
He's gone full Ronin now.
He just doesn’t really care if he dies now either.
Tumblr media
He doesn't eat. . .he barely sleeps, he's probably drunk half the time too, desperate to numb the pain. The man is essentially killing himself and whether or not he means to in the end is anyone's guess.
Tumblr media
Maybe in the end that's what he wants.
After all if it is, it's the only saving grace, knowing that he wont live long enough for himself to have to deal with the loss of the other for that for to long. . .
He just wants to take a few people with him when he goes
_ _ _ If you wish to known the darker "ending" to this Alternate Ending. Leave an ask in the ask box :D

Ok, two things, the first is that although I have theories about it, I have to ask, if Lloyd is 14 again after Child's Play, how will the phrase "Fair? Fair is not a word from where I" still apply? come from."?Second, can you tell a little more about Dareth, he's literally my favorite character in the whole series and I'm like a fly to honey at any mention of him.
First thing: that’s a spoiler! I’m not gonna give away something I’ve been so carefully building up to so easily! Just know it is still happening because I love that quote so much so much :D
Second Thing: Dareeeeeth! Jesse is the point of first contact b/w him and the Ninja, as he’s the one that recommends Dareth’s studio when the group seeks out a dedicated place to train Lloyd. with Dareth getting excited over the prospect of having a role to play in training the ninja. but one thing leads to another and identities are revealed and Dareth starts getting a bigger picture of the full story and kinda has a small freak out about how deep these kids are in with everything, and does his best to support them where he can (though most of the time they’re supporting him).
Despite his antics, Dareth actually does have a history of being an elite martial artist when he was younger, and does know what he’s talking about while training others—he just struggles to land the execution himself in this day and age.
His apartment is a disaster but it does provide a nice place to crash when one or two of the ninja need to get away from the others for a while. There he lends an ear to listen and a warm meal if he’s got something on hand, and tries to offer advice (whether or not it’s good advice remains to be seen)
When his role with training the ninja starts to lessen, that’s when he gets tangled with Harleigh instead, which ofc leads to Dareth getting tangled up with Ronin, fufufu~
Dareth also provides reminders from time to time that not everything always has to be about the date of the universe and lets the group have some time to just breathe every now and then <3

hi! in the spirit of trying to convince as many of you as possible to try a ttrpg that isn't d&d, i thought i'd share a couple ttrpg fundraisers i've backed recently and am really excited about.
first up is The Fifth Season Roleplaying Game!
the fifth season rpg, by Green Ronin Publishing, is set in the world described by N.K. Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy. (btw if you haven't read that trilogy, oh boy, you should!) i'll just blurb the official description of the game because it's pretty fucking awesome:
...a world where constant and unstable tectonic and volcanic activity threaten all life; a world whose peoples have learned to adapt in order to survive. It is a world where everyone learns that Father Earth hates his children and is always trying to kill them, where metal rusts and even stone crumbles, and the best you can do is be prepared for the next disaster. In the world of the Broken Earth, community—the comm—is everything, because in community there is support and a chance to persevere.
the crowdfunding campaign is over (and was a success!) but you can still preorder the game here.
second up: Shadowdark RPG
Shadowdark is designed by Kelsey Dionne, who is an incredible game designer. i first started following kelsey's work for her 5e adventures (over on The Arcane Library), which were so shockingly better-designed than the official 5e modules that i became an instant fan.
Shadowdark is a described as a game where "you and your group of crawlers use magic, steel, and wits to delve into mysterious ruins, lost cities, and monster-infested depths. Wondrous treasures and long-forgotten secrets await you! But don't let your last torch burn out, or you could be swallowed by the Shadowdark…" it uses IRL time mechanics to keep the game moving, which is very cool, and tbh i just trust this designer to have made something really clean, interesting, and easy to run!
the kickstarter for Shadowdark is ongoing (until the end of march 2023) here.

King shark in Suicide Squad, I have no idea what language he speaks. He just speaks English but is like.. learning as he goes it looked like. Like the first thing we hear him say is "Hand! :D" while holding up his hand and he talks a lot about "wanting nom nom"
The cannibal part for The Flash King shark was humans since he's technically human? Idk, he killed a lot of people and ate them
And in the Harley Quinn show, he killed one of his brothers originally because they were playing together when they were little and he like scraped his knee and King Shark could not control himself around the smell of blood and killed and ate him. He then later ate 13 out of 14 of his brothers. He later almost kills Damian, the current Ronin and Batman's son because of a nose bleed
A lot of his story gets switched around from writer to writer (most do with comics and shows like DC and Marvel) so I think you could probably screw around and do your own story for him and still do him justice as long as you read up on him. But that's just my opinion
-🐧
“Wanting nom nom” wait why is he so cute for😭 also love how his nom nom is most likely a human being 😭 HE ATE 13 OUR OF 14 BRTHERS HELLO?? Well that’s one way to become the single child
Also the blood as weakness thing is so interesting bc does it mean that he bleeds ? And is he attracted to his own blood?
I’ll def see what I can do !! I’ll thread lightly bc with all these characters I’m afraid to write ooc bc I feel like if an action or whatever is completely left field for his character then It’d be hard to enjoy the story and i don’t want that so I’ll do my best 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Stitch!!! I hope you're doing well, pal!
50 Random Character Asks: #2, 4, 9 & 10 please
For Aang, Sokka and Zuko
Hi Ronin! Better late than never, I suppose?
Character asks for the Gaang boys, let’s go!
2. A canon or headcanon hill I will die on
For Aang, Idk if it's a hill I'd die on, but I like the idea of him growing out his hair every now and again. Sometimes you just don't wanna shave, so he just lets his hair grow out and it's a fun lil change of pace for him! Also, no beard. LOL
For Sokka, I really like the idea that he finds his space sword. Or he makes another one!
For Zuko, he’s deeply in love with Katara and they’re happily married LOL.
4. Favorite line
Aang: "You're just a teenager!"
Sokka: “Drink Cactus Juice. It’ll quench ya!”
Zuko: “It keeps blowing up in my face! Like everything always does.”
9. Scene that first made me love (or hate) the character
For Aang, probably when he realizes that Toph is the girl in his vision! I really like the realization on his face and then later tries to explain to Toph how they found her. “A crazy earth king told me to…”
Toph: 🤨
Hilarious Lmao
For Sokka, I think the fight between him and Master Piandao made me appreciate him more. He learned/gained fighting skills that I wanted to learn as a kid, so I thought that was cool.
For Zuko, definitely when he cut his hair and the way it grows in during season two LOL. What can I say, I’m a simple blue alien.
10. Best moment on screen (or in the book)
For Aang, I like the scene where he’s breaking into the Earth King’s palace with the Gaang. The earthbending in particular is so cool!
For Sokka, probably the FN air balloon scene where they’re fighting the Fire Nation and he’s leading Toph and does some crazy fighting moves with a broken leg and clutching Toph’s hand. Hard core stuff right there.
For Zuko, I think the scene where he fights Azula sticks out to me. I think the show made a big deal about blue fire because that means it's more powerful or whatnot, and I just loved seeing him fight Azula and the development in his skills you see from season 1 to season 3.
......
And I think that's all of them! Hopefully I got everything, and if I didn't, feel free to send another ask! :) Thanks again for sending this over, Ronin! Appreciate the ask, your patience, and you! Hope you have a great day :D
Ask me questions about ATLA or LOK characters!

So, I haven't wanted to talk publicly about an updated OGL, because until this point it seemed pointless. While there were a few people claiming to have leaked copies, no one was sharing any information in a useful or coherent way and it all read as doomsaying and speculation. This is the first thorough, detailed and trustworthy source I've seen, and it bodes extremely poorly.
To summarize, publishing D&D content right now is done in two major ways: through the Open Gaming License, or through the DM's Guild.
If published through the OGL, you can only use specific material that has been placed in the System Reference Document. Any material published that has not been added to that document cannot be referenced in your work, and this includes functionally all proper names of characters, places, settings, and the books themselves, as well as certain intellectual property such as beholders and mind flayers. So long as you don't touch any intellectual property and put the proper legal writing in your document, you can produce (nearly) anything you like under the OGL and maintain full control and ownership over your product. I have released a few premade adventures under it, and have other projects and ideas that have been slowly building up that would be best placed in a similar situation.
If you publish through the DMG, you have far fewer restrictions on intellectual property. You can make use of anything published for 5e (outside of a few things like the Acquisitions Incorporated book), you can publish within certain settings such as Eberron and the Forgotten Realms, you can have a mind flayer as your big boss. But you give up a large cut of any profits, and you give up your right to publish your work anywhere else. This includes preventing you from giving away free copies through Patreon or Kickstarter, putting it for sale on sites like itch.io, anything. The DMG gains exclusive publishing rights.
Which of these you use is your choice (I avoided the DMG), but according to the leaked text of the updated OGL this will be going away. The big changes include not allowing the creation of any material except for print and electronic books under the OGL, revenue splitting over a certain threshold, requiring you to send Wizards a copy of everything you publish and a description of it, allowing Wizards to use any material you publish under the OGL without attribution or compensation, and, very importantly, rendering the previous version of the OGL unauthorized. This prevents anyone from continuing to publish under the old rules, forcing anyone who wants to make D&D content (aside from free fan content) to use the new version.
I hope that this is wrong. Either because Wizards saw the response and walked back the demands, or the person who leaked the draft just invented it for drama. If this OGL goes through as written, it is not an Open Gaming License. It is highly restrictive and puts everything that third party publishers ever make under intense scrutiny, as well as giving away all of their products to Wizards. While very little in this is likely to affect me, as everything I release on here is covered under Fan Content and not subject to these rules, I am still disgusted by this incredibly poor faith move.
There's already a great deal of discussion on whether Wizards has the legal authority to void the original OGL in this way. The only way to determine this for certain is most likely a major legal battle between Wizards and whoever thinks they have a strong enough case to win it. Of the major companies likely to be affected by this, only Paizo, and maybe a few others like Kobold Press and Green Ronin have the money to commit to that. And even then, it may not be worth it for them. If this OGL goes through, it will kill the majority of third party publishing, damage Wizard's reputation greatly, and end my relationship with D&D permanently. If the OGL 1.0 is killed, I will never play or write material for D&D ever again.
What happens to Pathfinder and 13th Age, as well as the many other games that used the OGL in their publication, can't be determined now. They're not talking about it, and have likely been involved in negotiations for weeks over this. Depending on how it plays out, they might be forced to convert to the new OGL, they might shut down, they might heavily rework their games to be independent of the OGL. I have no idea.
What happens to Paper and Dice is even more up in the air. I don't intend to stop playing TTRPGs, and if I play them I will almost definitely be making content for them. But most of the games I'm interested in are OGL based, so what I'll play is uncertain. I'm not asking for recommendations, I've tried a number of other games and so far haven't found anything greatly to my interest. Until we get an official announcement from Wizards of the Coast, I'll continue to be making content as normal, and we'll see what happens when they speak up.

Round 1 Results
ALRIGHT IT’S TIME
A few of these results really surprised me! Others did not in the slightest. But either way, it is time to reveal the losers of Round 1!
MATCH 1: Scarlet Amin is Eliminated!
Scarlet Amin a wealthy and charismatic business woman, known for her energetic personality and love of mystery! She revels in filling her home with secret passageways and hidden compartments. She is the girlboss to her husband’s malewife. Speaking of which...
Tumblr media
MATCH 2: Ronin Amin is Eliminated!
(Art by https://twitter.com/_Cinnaart_?t=06fAdEVxEb7Fo7Rb5ulueg&s=09)
Ronin is, simply put, sopping wet. He’s much more shy and timid compared to his wife, and tends to handle the paperwork of the business. Yes, I have a favorite, what about it? He’s quite gentle and is known for his caring demeanor. He and his wife also own the mansion a certain OC story of mine takes place in ;D
MATCH 3: Burst is Eliminated!
Tumblr media
Art by @samthecookielord
Burst is a Paper Mario OC, inspired by Origami King! Basically I decided that Bobby deserved a boyfriend. Burst is highly energetic, always jumping to new opportunities! He is acutely aware of his mortality and strives to do as much as he possibly can in the time he has. Love this little guy. Funnily enough, speaking of Paper Mario...
MATCH 4: Twiss T. is Eliminated!
Tumblr media
(It’s Sam again)
Twiss T. is another Paper Mario OC, based on the older games this time! He’s meant to be an antagonist- not outright evil, but he definitely doesn’t prioritize his morality. He’s a theatre kid through and through- though he’s dying to play a villain. He is so so willing to be manipulative, love that for him. His only loyalties are to the stage and to his pride <3
ROUND 5: Nightlight is Eliminated!
Tumblr media
(It’s Sam. Again.)
Nightlight is the mother of one of my more well known OCs- Nightcap! She works at a library reading out stories, as well as writing kids books in her spare time! She’s very kind and gentle, though she very much has a sense of humor. This woman would have a Tumblr account.
ROUND 6: Misery Wizary is Eliminated!
Tumblr media
(Take a guess.)
Misery Wizary is my necromancer save from West of Loathing! She started with a somewhat warped sense of morality- having far too much confidence in herself as a good person, and far too quick to assume the worst of others. This lead to her learning necromancy, through the idea that the person most skilled in it should at least be a good person. She ended up hiding away after an Epiphany TM followed by The Guilt. And then she was pulled out by a strange little child name Romy who is now her son. Love this woman.
ROUND 7: Storm is Eliminated!

(Take. A. Guess.)
This one sorta devastated me ngl. Storm is a teenager with arguably the most complicated origin of any of my OCs! What’s important is that they’re part of (in at least one timeline) the Omori Deltarune AU! They’re one of Halkinna’s best friends- they can come off as edgy, but they have soo much love in they heart. They also enjoy writing angst.
ROUND 8: Arthur Morris is Eliminated!

(picrews are: https://picrew.me/image_maker/1706331 and https://picrew.me/image_maker/1414503)
Arthur Morris is one of my Shadows Over Loathing OCs- specifically my Cheese Wizard save! He’s very intelligent and rather soft spoken. He loves learning about various forms of magic, as well as their history. He also had an.. interesting dynamic with Noel, since he just simply could not match her energy. Oh yeah he also a crush on Charles, love to see it. He’s actually part of a duo- wonder if the other is somewhere around here ;D
That’s the end of part one cause this got very long lol, part two of the results should be soon

Any tips on drawing LEGO? Your style is so nice. Thanks for sharing your stuff, always make me happy when I see it 🐰
blinks so loudly at you thank you for enjoying the art
Tumblr media
as for tips ill try my best? im not good at explaining myself sometimes so sorry in advance if i dont make sence at all :'^D
studying lego media of all kinds is a good way to see how different people/media treat a minifig! the drawings used in books, Tt games, and the movies however ofc it all really depends on how YOU want to draw them!
the two id suggest the most is monkie kid and Tt games, those are perfect references for how they push pull and stretch their proportions, faces, poses, hands, etc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
clown on shadows of ronin all you want. but that game is more expressive than the show. very good game to study for expressions.
ANYWAY firstly you have to figure out how YOU want to draw a minifig!!! for example heres a little diagram of how i draw them
Tumblr media
when i start thinking about poses, i usually pull from real poses to help me visualize what im trying to do. Following a poses line of action/flow is what matters.
Tumblr media
for hands i keep one side the Fingers and the other side the Long Thumb. the fingers are drawn up higher than the thumb so you know which side is which. if you want to think in "real hands" just imagine someone whos wearing mittens all the time. and has a long thumb
Tumblr media
for feet this is going to sound really stupid. but learning the bare basics of perspective will go a long way. and i say that as someone who is Very Bad at perspective. it doesnt have to LOOK right it just has to FEEL right! if you added the dimensions to my drawings the feet/legs wouldn't make any real sense but again it just has to look the part! for a little extra help you can draw them as little stub feet and draw your squares out from that! adding a little box infront helps so you know what way theyre facing
Tumblr media
and of course the time old classic line
practice makes perfect
back in 2014 when i started the old version of this account i NEVER drew them as minifigs because i wasnt confident i only drew them as humans. i think this is the closest i ever got to drawing a minifig back then even then this is like. castle crashers style lol.
Tumblr media
my first real attempts were in 2017 when i felt a bit more confident about drawing them
Tumblr media
and as i improved my regular style and my lego style the two combined and now i feel more confidant drawing minifigs than i do people lmao.
Tumblr media
what matters is how you want to interpret a minifig! they cont have to have square feet and claw hands, they can have round feet and regular hands! they dont have to have all the extra detail either! just study the lego media thats out there either, official or from other lego artists you follow, as long as you can pick and use what makes them unique to you and your style is what matters!!
anyway hope this made sense:'^D if it didnt or you want me to elaborate on something some more you can always send an ask and ill try my best to answer it haha :'^)

Ghost of Tsushima CYOA Part 4
And we're back! Tenzo romance and talk with Shimura tied: so we're building up the romance (while keeping the teen rating ;p) and setting up the uncle confrontation.
Link to Part 1, Part 2, Part 3. Again: rated teen.
Part 4 and the poll for what happens in part 5 are below the cut :D
“Yes,” Jin admitted. He chewed his lower lip and clenched his fist. “But I know I can’t.”
“You can,” Tenzo mused. He didn’t make eye contact with Jin, and Jin felt some degree of shame at that. Tenzo must have been judging him…
“I—”
Tenzo turned quickly and jerked Jin to the ground by the collar of his kimono. “We need to get out of here first.” He stayed low and out of sight, quickly guiding Jin to the ladder down and shooing their horses away through the front gate. “We’ll need to stay on foot. They won’t know about the scouting path.”
“Our horses’ tracks will confuse them,” Jin agreed.
Like a samurai and his retainer, or a pair of friends or lovers, Jin and Tenzo worked as one. They stealthily made their way down the hidden cliffside path away from Fort Sakai. Tenzo looked at Jin, his face worn and pained as he glanced between him and the general direction Fune’s refuge. Jin knew exactly what he was thinking.
"You can check on them, I’ll scout a—”
“No,” Tenzo rejected his proposal before he could even finish, “I know you too well, samurai.”
“I wouldn’t…”
Tenzo glared at him, but there was little bite behind it. “You would. And he’s your uncle, Sakai.” Tenzo said Jin’s family name like a curse, which it may as well be on Iki Island.
What grated the most was that he was right. Jin wouldn’t be able to resist confronting Shimura. Whether that meant standing and demanding his uncle admit Jin had done no more than what he needed to or throwing himself at his feet begging for forgiveness, Jin wasn’t sure.
“Come with me. We’ll make a plan.”
Like the sentimental fool he was, Jin agreed. This was how he found himself sitting around a banked campfire with three of Fune’s raiders and Tenzo. They were, quietly, arguing about the best way to approach the camp. Tenzo was doing his best to convince them Jin knew what he was talking about without admitting Jin was more than some disgraced mainland samurai turned ronin. Jin was, at this point, glaring tiredly at everyone. This had never happened with his retainers. Or with Ryuzo for that matter.
“You only want to go along with him because you sleep together.”
Jin’s head jerked up at the accusation, just in time to see Tenzo vicious reply of: “And you’re just jealous Hitoshi.”
Great. They’d descended to petty insults. Fantastic.
“Enough,” Jin declared.
“No!” Tenzo insisted.
“Let them do what they want and get themselves killed. I don’t care at this point.” Jin turned to Tenzo and muttered, “I can take care of myself. Let them get flanked, or pierced by enough arrows to fell a boar, or captured and gutted. I’ve told you the samurai’s defensive plans. Choose to listen. Or don’t. It’s out of my hands now.” Jin decided to rub salt in their wounds. He turned to Tenzo and stood, grabbing him by the arm and draggin him towards Jin’s bedroll. “Let’s get some sleep.”
To Jin’s mild surprise, Tenzo let himself be dragged. Jin tried not to show it, it would ruin the act… and his credibility. Tenzo followed Jin onto the tatami mat, and under the blanket.
They laid there, side by side in silence, for an uncomfortably long moment.
“What now?” Tenzo whispered.
“I can feel you laughing.” Jin glared when the shaking against his side only intensified.
“And?” Tenzo prompted, “Do we need to show them our feelings for each other, or are we just going to sleep?”
“Sleep,” Jin growled.
“Ah, just like my marriage.”
Jin groaned with exasperation, “Enough.”
Jin roused from the uneasy half-sleep he’d fallen into when one of the raiders shook his shoulder.
“Your turn on watch, samurai.”
Jin nodded… and watched. He watched the surrounding woods, listened to the birdsong and frogs, and watched the raider fall asleep. Once they were well and truly asleep Jin Woke Tenzo with a shake and a hand over his mouth. After startling and glaring at Jin Tenzo promised his silence with a wet lick to Jin’s palm. Ugh, Ryuzo had done that far too often when they’d been children, and Tenzo was old enough to be Jin’s father!
“Are you done?” Jin whispered.
“Yes.”
“Good. Now follow me.”
