Muntan Mine: An Abbreviated Sword & Backpack Setting Guide
Muntan Mine is a beautiful mine home to Dwarves, Gnomes, Goblins, a few scattered orcs, and Dark Elves. Dwarves and Goblins do not get along too well and tend to stay separated (it is not a stereotype, it is an attempt to be true to life). Gnomes play much of the middle and the Dark Elves tend to come and go from the under dark to us, as a sort of tradesman.
Brunehilde is the local dwarven librarian. She guards the tomes preciously and adventurers looking for consistent spell materials will find her reluctant to let you write down anything they have or take it away from the sacred walls of that place. Her cat, seven feet in height and five hundred pounds, is also reluctant to let you do so.
Morik Skullthank is the Tavern keeper, a lovely Goblin with a kind heart and a brutish smile. He enjoys singing the classics and making apple cider. He may send you out into the outside for supplies, but be careful because there are wild beasts out there - from small dragons to large bears, perhaps even a Kobold tribe here or there to watch out for.
Most people in town dig in the mines or fashion materials into useful things. Hunters are those in charge of leaving the mines to forage for food and catch game; a good group to join if you want to explore the Mountainside. But the constant mining also means there are many abandon mines that may need to be cleared out - the Cranks handle that. They are named for Huberis Crank, a Gnome Lord, who started the Guild and takes payment to clear out pesky mines. They are profitable, but pay a wage rather than letting you keep treasures you may find. May be best to go out alone, but it is far more dangerous and the Cranks don’t take well to doing so.
Most of the frustrations of the town surface between conflicts related to the two most socially powerful families, the Orinrigs [Dwarves] and the Stenak [Goblins]. The Stenak are in charge of the Mine Guard, like a police of sorts, but also in charge of keeping dangerous things away. And the Orinrigs are the counters, the ones who disperse the food and other sorts of resources, and keep track of them. The two hate one another, and I dare say things even get violent if they can find someone to do their malicious dirty work.
Oh, and don’t mind Sal - he just trades things and, sometimes when he is low on cash, he may steal something. But he is a nice man and worthy of your time in conversation. He comes and goes. Don’t drink anything he gives you, it will give you dark vision but take your day vision! He  has the best things to sell otherwise; as Dark Elves often do.

Make your game more unique by subverting the player's assumptions about the RPG campaign, such as:
They're the good guys
They're central characters
They're going to survive to the end.
They're in an RPG session
This is your house
You're a GM
You actually went to the bathroom rather than grabbing all their wallets and driving away into the night while they sit there waiting for you to return

A Spear Brings Sorrow
To kill a Unicorn is a tragedy.
To murder one and construct a weapon from its remains is a sin against the world.
Tumblr media
Hey all, so I'm releasing my first ttrpg micro supplement. It's part of a ongoing project I'm doing to train myself to actually finish things.
I'm pretty happy with the results, not only do I have this fantastic art from @regal-bones but I've made up statblocks for three common fantasy systems, and a backstory to help you insert the spear and its wielder into your game.
You can get it here: https://mb11.itch.io/a-spear-brings-sorrow
I'm really terrible at promotion so any sharing is quite appreciated, as well as constructive critique.

HERE COMES THE GILGAMESH - AND IT IS SUPERIOR, BY DESIGN.
<<LOADING COMPENDIUM ENTRY. . .>> <<FILE LOAD COMPLETE>> <<WELCOME VALUED CUSTOMER AND LICENSE HOLDER>>
Tumblr media
The Gilgamesh is Harrison Armory's multirole Legionnaire model chassis, designed to be distributed to Armory legions and Acquisition & Management Teams across the Purview and beyond. Built to be fully compatible with numerous hardpoint-mounted tactical system enhancements and munitions, the Gilgamesh excels at no one task in particular, but its comprehensive modular construction and rugged engineering allow it to perform a variety of combat duties without difficulty within numerous theaters. Beyond the logistical efficiency of a standardized, easy to handle chassis meant to streamline both materiel concerns and aptitude training across multiple worlds and cultures, the Gilgamesh has another purpose as well; further reducing the Armory's remaining dependence on foreign-manufactured chassis designs, in particular the GMS Everest.
Some commissioned officers have a tendency to look down upon Gilgamesh pilots for using what they view as an unglamorous "trainer" chassis, but other commanders are fierce proponents of the design, even choosing to pilot it themselves in order to lead by example, and in certain regions of the Purview the Gilgamesh is regarded with as much admiration as more sophisticated models such as the Sherman.

Monster of the Week supplement
So, this is a project I've been part of or working on since at least 2019 with elements of it going back earlier than that. It is a combination of a personal project of mine with a project of Marek Golonka's (of Codex of Worlds's fame) which we took to Evil Hat, and now it's on it's way to the general public.

THE 55 is now Live on Kickstarter
THE 55 is a cyberpunk setting supplement for your favourite grungy dystopia. It's meant to slot into other cyberpunk TTRPGs in general and is compatible with CYB_BORG specifically.
It's also my biggest flex as a layout artist and graphic designer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stack #95563 started as a location for my game Neon Black, then along came the #dungeon23 challenge and I thought I would turn THE 55 into a big concrete pseudo megadungeon full of second-hand shops, suits to kill, and weird crypto miners living in the walls.
So now it's 365 floors of wage theft, woe, and weird. Made darker and maybe a little magical to fit with other cyberpunk games. Maybe there's aliens too? Could be, look I'm not the cops you do with this zine what you like.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Kickstarter is funding a print run and also giving out some goodies. You get early access to the digital copy (like, literally right now if you back it you can just read the whole thing).
You can also get a physical zine shipped to you, pages from the notebook I used for the #dungeon23 challenge, and a big ass poster of the cover art.
Tumblr media
Looks cool right? Act fast cause there's a limited amount of, well, everything.
Also there's a financial hardship tier if you don't have much cash.
I've been working on this for a while, I was putting pages into layout as soon as I was finished writing them last year and it's just been getting better and better.
Tumblr media
Anyway, if you want to dump your players into an arcology of thousands within a city of millions, or just want some more monsters, villains, or allies for your cyberpunk stories, please check it out and spread the word.
Thanks!

It's kind of interesting how in Lancer, the Albatross seem to keep running up against organizations involved in decorp.
During the Sanjak Rebellion, it's stated that the Albatross assisted the DoJ/HR in fighting the Maw when they underwent decorp and became a greywash nanite swarm.
But also in the No Room For A Wallflower Act 2 & 3 drafts, they are suggested to have fought the CELESTINE project, which was another successful attempt at decorp that had to be wiped out to comply with the First Contact Accords (though the details are a bit sketchy, considering the context of this history being told to the players is a very deliberately ahistorical simulation).
And on top of that, we also know that they fought the Neo-Celestines in an event only known as the "Neo-Celestine Disappointment". And while we don't have much context for this event, we do know that the Neo-Celestines, as presumably the ideological inheritors of the CELESTINE project, were interested in decorp.
And this sticks out to me in particular, because much of the motivation for decorp in-setting is a kind of functional immortality, which is interesting in that the Albatross enjoy a similar status. Like, sure, they're not actually immortal - travelling at relativistic speeds just makes them age less - but in practice the Albatross are able to engage in potentially age-defining conflicts and then live long enough to see the results of their actions decades and even centuries on. They get to see themselves become mythologized over what is, to them, relatively short periods of time.
I dunno. It's just really interesting, that these seemingly-immortal warriors often find themselves facing off against those having sought or even attained actual, true immortality.
