Team RWBY face off against White Fatalis from Monster Hunter.
COLD RAGE
"Are we there yet?" Yang yawned, walking at the rear of her team with her hands folded behind her head. "We've been walking for hours."
"Will you take this seriously?" Weiss chided from beside her leader in the front. "This mission was ranked five stars and handed to us specifically. We're essentially being told to fight on the same level as headmasters!"
"Is that weird for anybody else?" Blake asked, walking between Ruby and Weiss in the front and Yang behind. "If this mission is so dangerous, then why only send the four of us?"
"Apparently, the one who posted the mission said they didn't want to risk spending more than he needs to." Ruby said, tapping at her scroll. "The five star was actually something agreed on by the headmasters."
"It's still weird." Weiss said, cupping her chin. "Why only send us four without a headmaster?"
"Maybe it's to test us?" Ruby smiled.
"Maybe it's to be bait." Blake worried. A cold wind blew, making her shiver. She then felt an arm drape over her. "Huh?"
"Don't worry about it." Yang smirked. "Whatever it is, it won't stand a chance against Team RWBY!"
Yang pumped her fist into the air, making Blake smile. Ruby giggled as Weiss rolled her eyes. The trek uphill became a lot easier, though the cloudy sky did little to improve morale any further. Looking ahead, the team saw the path open up where it had previously been blocked by an avalanche. Upon passing over the crest, they eyed their mission objective.
"There it is." The team stopped, looking over the frozen remains of the former Castle Schrade. Legend said that a once great kingdom, now long past, was ruled by a good king. But then disaster struck and wiped out everything and everyone within the kingdom in a single night. Blake looked to Ruby. "What's the game plan?"
"Hang on, I'm getting an update from the headmaster." Ruby tapped her scroll. Her lips then pursed as she scrolled through the message. "Uh oh..."
"Uh oh?" Yang repeated. "Why uh oh?"
"Uh..." Ruby started. "Oh, well, um, see, the thing is that we... might need to go back?"
"Go back?" Weiss repeated this time. "Why in the world would we need to go back when we're so close?"
"Well, it's kinda because of the ranking."
"See, I told ya it was nothing to worry about." Yang said, tapping Blake's shoulder with her fist. "Rank's probably only a three at best."
"Well..." Ruby winced. "See, um, the thing about that is-"
"Oh, will you just spit it out already!" Weiss barked.
"SIX!" Ruby yelped, covering her head.
"Six?" Blake repeated, completing the set. She then asked for clarity for what she feared the only logical answer. "Six what?"
"Six... stars. This is a six stars mission."
The wind blew again but had no effect on the already chilled team. Their battles against Salem's Inner Circle, in which they had assistance from far more experienced huntsmen and huntresses, were four to five stars. Six was an all-headmaster emergency, as in it required ALL headmasters to accomplish the mission. It wasn't until somebody spoke up that the long silence ended.
"So, what do we do now?" Blake asked.
"Obviously we retreat!" Weiss shouted.
"Should we really leave the mission like this when we're already so close?" Ruby asked. "What if the threat only just got bigger and us leaving would only make it worse?"
"It sounds like a stretch, to be honest, Rubes," Yang sighed, shaking her head, "but it's also your choice. What's the plan, Leader?"
Ruby stared down at her scroll, then looked to the ruins of Castle Schrade. Something about it seemed to be calling to her, though it was more like a monster luring its prey than a friend beckoning their ally. She took a deep breath, then turned to her team.
"Here's my plan..." Ruby said with confidence. "I'm going to message the headmaster, let him and everyone else know that we're going to continue the investigation." At this, Blake and Weiss noticeably stiffened. "It could be nothing, but if there's a chance that there's something there that could hurt more people by us just sitting around and waiting, then we should at least try to slow it down." Though it wasn't by much, her team softened. "And if things get really hairy, then we'll pull back and regroup with the headmasters, who are probably on their way."
"Getting hairy, huh?" Yang grinned. "Sounds like we'll need a Schrave and a haircut~!" Everyone groaned. "Huh? Get it~?"
"You're gonna get it if you don't keep quiet." Weiss grumbled. "And while I can't say I like the idea of us charging headfirst into danger without knowing what's waiting for us, I like the thought of us doing nothing even less."
"Agreed." Blake nodded. "And if we can keep it stalled long enough for people to evacuate, then it's all the better." She then rubbed her arm a bit. "The headmasters are coming, right?"
"In the message, I got told that they were coming to relieve us of our tasking." Ruby answered.
"Not even sending somebody else in?" Yang whistled. "This thing must be pretty serious."
"Unlike some of us." Weiss said, getting a giggle from Blake.
Ruby tapped her scroll to message the headmaster. She'd likely get told to fall back and might even be scolded via some form of a strongly worded e-mail, but she had to hold firm. Especially when such high stakes were at play. She looked to her team as she pressed 'Send'.
"Ready, guys?"
--------------------------------------------------
Walking into the ruins of Castle Schrade was an eerie experience. Once a mighty and near-impervious fortress, what remained was little more than rubble upon rubble. Old weapon racks had become decayed wood piece that once held rusted swords and spears now strewn about the charred floor. Atop short-reaching steps were ancient bowguns that still functioned, in theory, but were unlikely to last longer than a few shots, if even one. What calamity that had befallen this once noble military outpost had rendered it completely uninhabitable and indefensible.
Blake rubbed her hand against the cold stone as she walked by the long-destroyed pillar. Her cat-like ears twitched and a shiver ran through her body. Looking over the ruins, she voiced her suspicions to the team. "Whatever did this wasn't a natural disaster."
"I think that depends on your definition of natural, huh?" Yang agreed, looking over the scorch marks on the wall. "Whatever happened here happened a long time ago, right? Has to be something unreal to leave scars this deep."
"Anything from the headmasters, Ruby?" Weiss asked.
Ruby tapped her scroll, hoping for an update. "Nothing new." She sighed. "They said they were on their way, but they couldn't give an ETA clearer than 'as soon as we can'."
"Ruby, I don't think we should be here." Blake said, looking to her leader. "I think this is way above what we're capable of."
"I hate to say it, but I kinda agree." Yang gave a sigh. "The last time we took on something capable of destroying a city, we nearly got wiped out. This..." She gestured to the smashed walls and collapsed arches. "This is way beyond that."
"I know, guys." Ruby nodded. "I'm nervous, too, but... I don't want to think about what would happen if..."
Dark clouds started to swirl above. Not just dark, but blue with red lightning. In the distant sky above, the shining sun was blotted out by a swirling mass as a dark circle took it's place. From the hole in the sky, in perhaps reality itself, like something out of a nightmare, a silhouette made its approach to the castle.
As it drew closer, the monster became much clearer to see. On beating wings, a reptilian beast with silver scales and snow-white hair made its descent onto the failed fortifications. With its long, ancient snout, it bellowed its declaration as red lightning crackled across the sky above. Team RWBY readied their weapons in defiance to the ancestral wyvern, White Fatalis.
With a thundering crash to match the sky above, the dragon-like monster spread its wings and let loose a mighty roar, shaking the ground and huntresses beneath it. The girls split apart, Weiss and Yang circling one direction with Blake and Ruby going the other. Leaping ahead of her Faunus friend, Ruby swung Crescent Rose around onto the scaled hide, only to find the blade bounce off without leaving so much as a scratch.
"It's too tough to cut into!" Ruby called out, hoping Weiss and Yang heard from the other side. Blake readied a cartridge of ice dust and loaded it into Gambol Shroud. "Look out!"
Blake was lifted off the ground, her former position swept away by a massive white tail. Before she could thank her leader, she shoved her away in time for red lightning to fall from the sky between them. Looking over to White Fatalis, it lowered its head from what seemed to be a roar to the skies. It had control of the weather and could call forth thunderbolts to strike its foes.
"Ruby-!"
"I saw!" Ruby replied before Blake could say anything. "I've never heard of Grimm doing that!"
"I have, but it wasn't red like that."
"What dust do you have in right now?"
"Fire." Blake lifted her weapon. "It's white and covered with fur, so I thought-"
"Got it." Ruby pulled out her own cartridge. "Do you think Weiss and Yang are okay?"
"We're fine." Weiss said, panting next to Blake.
"You don't look fine." Blake noted. "And where's Yang?"
Weiss pointed to the blonde brawler currently wreaking havoc on the monster ahead. Checking Weiss' aura, Ruby saw that she was already low in her reserves. Without saying a word, Blake ran in, opening fire on the titanic for. If she missed, she missed. If she hit, she hit. If she hit Yang, then it would make her angrier at worst. And she was already blazing with rage.
Yang crashed into the monster again and again, colliding like a comet with the white dragon, noticeably knocking it to the ground. Blades did nothing to pierce it's hide, but blunt force weaponry seemed to be doing the trick. Either that, or the flames of Yang's semblance made it noticeably weaker. Blow after blow was delivered, until finally the beast could take no more and fled to the other side of the ruins.
That's when things got worse. Either out of rage or pain, or a mixture of both, the scales around its eyes and chest began to glow red, like blood had been spilled in excess, and it bellowed a mighty roar that shook the world around them. In a blink, the monster was on top of Yang and slammed its claws down on top of her. She'd barely managed to dodge, and the near miss caused her to trip and roll on the ground.
"Yang!" Blake threw Gambol Shroud to her partner and, on her catching it, pulled her away in time as a lightning bolt came crashing down to where she was.
It was at this point that the sky itself was rumbling with rage. Beneath their feet, with little doubt in the danger presented and little room for shelter from the incoming danger, light began to glow all around, save for beneath the beast itself. All of Team RWBY rushed in, getting as close to the enraged monster as they could, as red lightning danced across their battlefield. Pillars crumbled and rubble was reduced to more rubble. Most concerning of all, however, were the less solid structures like the weapon racks and bowguns, which were destroyed with little evidence of their existence. Had any of the team been caught by this attack, then it was very likely that this mission would no longer be a problem for them in the worst possible way.
"What do we do, Ruby?" Weiss asked.
She looked to her sister. "Yang, when you were punching it, did it look like it was getting hurt?"
"Well, I don't think it's putting on this light show because it likes it." Yang answered.
"How much fire dust does everyone have?"
"I have enough for myself and to refresh one of you if you run out." Weiss replied.
"Okay, then stay out of the way until your aura recovers." Ruby said. "We can swing by to refill if we need to. Yang, stay angry and keep hitting him."
"On it~." Yang grinned with red eyes still blazing.
"Blake, you and me will shoot from a distance." She looked out to see the lightning die down. "Everyone ready? Let's go!"
Once the crimson lightning storm had settled, Yang immediately leaped out from beneath her mighty foe and began her head-first charge into the monster. Weiss, using as few glyphs as she could, retreated into an alcove and watched as her team spread out to avoid being hit all at once. Ruby ran to the beast's left, peppering its wings and hide with fire dust rounds while Blake used her ribbon to pull herself to the remains of a column and swung around and unloading a magazine of fire dust into their foe's left side.
With a loud cracking sound, the white wyvern reeled in pain as its horn snapped off from Yang's strikes. Tossing her down, it jumped into the air and landed on top of her, using its weight to crush her. The blonde brawler struggled beneath her enemy's mountainous strength, finding her semblance failing her to keep the giant held aloft.
"Yang!" Ruby cried, looking around for something to do more damage. It was then she noticed a ballista hidden away, untouched by battle and ready for use. Using her semblance to arrive sooner, she aimed the ancient weapon at the ancient devil, lining up her sights to the back of its scaled neck.
Click! Shoomp! Shing! Thunk!
The massive gear rattled and shook in place as the ballista released the ancient missile. Time, however, was not on the weapon's side as it's rusted metal and frayed wire broke and snapped, thankfully waiting until Ruby had already fallen over from the kickback to avoid being struck by the shattering apparatus. Climbing to her feet, Ruby awed that her target had been struck, though not where she had intended.
In her haste to strike a killing blow in the neck of White Fatalis, she'd failed to account for its shifting form. However, this proved to be a boon as the shifting monster had moved itself just right to be struck through its right eye. With a piercing scream, it fell over, thrashing on its side and release Yang from her weighted prison. Ruby ran out to her sister's side, though Blake was already there to help her to her feet. Together, the three unloaded every fire dust they had into the flaming red core of the raging cataclysm. With a few short clicks, they were out of ammunition.
"Weiss!" Ruby shouted, noticing the shattered building where Weiss had retreated. Terror gripped her heart.
"No need to shout." The heiress huffed. "Here." She tossed the remaining fire dust into the air before spun her rapier and stabbed it the ground. A glyph appeared ahead of the team as a giant, flaming knight took form. Jumping from Blake's hands, Ruby took hold of the fire dust and loaded it into Crescent Rose.
"Hey, Blake." Yang tossed her fire dust. With a crack of her knuckles, her hair flared to a golden shine. "I ain't gonna need it."
In a coordinated assault, the team of four huntresses unleashed a blazing fury unlike any felt before. White Fatalis screamed on the ground as it thrashed against its attackers, tail whipping around before it was cut off by Weiss blazing gigas. Blake moved to the side, carefully aiming inside the massive maw where it was likely weaker than its snowy scales. Ruby fired into the exposed wound of the eye, hoping for a quick end through the brain to end the monster's pain, though the scenario grew more and more hopeless with each pull of the trigger.
Yang blasted punch after punch at the red core, ignoring how red it was making herself and the ground around her. She could feel the blood burning her skin through her aura, but she didn't care. All that mattered was taking this thing out.
However, despite their efforts, it rose to its feet and bellowed a ground-shaking roar. The sky filled with black clouds that blotted out any light, save for the largest red thunderbolt zooming through the air to the highest object it could...
"RUBY!" Her team cried as red light vaporized any remaining rose petals. Tears filled their eyes as the petals drifted into ash. The clouds began to part to reveal the shining sun once more. It was as though the heavens wished to aid in finding the missing leader. Sadly, she was nowhere to be found.
Until they saw that the clouds had been perfectly cut. Like a scythe through its harvest tasking. And from the clouds, they saw a red dot growing bigger and bigger. In a red spiral, they saw Ruby Rose, weapon in hand as red electricity danced across the blade of Crescent Rose. In arrogant defiance, White Fatalis took flight and charged the descending huntress leader.
In a scatter of rose petals, the ancient wyvern was split in twain, blood spilling from its severed torso and body. Its chest smashed into the ground before Team RWBY while its body destroyed what was left of Castle Schrade. Landing atop the head was their team leader, dizzy and stumbling before falling off. Yang ran and caught her little sister, grateful she was alive.
"Ruby!" She called.
"How did you do that?" Blake asked.
"Since when could you do that?!" Weiss shrieked.
"Well..." Ruby chuckled. "I just changed my scythe and..."
"Team RWBY?" The girls looked over to see their headmaster, accompanied by other headmasters who each had their own variant of shock on their faces, approached them. "I believe I told you to abort this mission." A smile then grew in place of a scowl. "But I am grateful for both your initiative AND your productivity. I believe you have a mission report for me."
"Uh..." Ruby stood to her feet, looking back to the slain monster behind them. "I think this speaks for itself, doesn't it?"
"It does, but..." The headmaster leaned in with a smile. "I'd like to hear your side of the legend."

Okay so like. For ghosts left behind to haunt us, I wrote a whole prelude of the Doctor and Ruby actually going to Rogue’s ship, and then 1) couldn’t write a transition I was happy with and 2) decided the fic flowed better without it so I cut it, but I still kinda like it so here it is as a deleted scene:
The Doctor stands in the doorway of the Tardis, taking a steadying breath as he looks over the dark room they’ve landed in. He tries to will himself to take a step out, but he can’t shake the overwhelming feeling he’s about to desecrate holy ground by doing so.
“Doctor?” Ruby’s chipper voice behind him is completely at odds with his own morose thoughts. “Did we land in the right place? Is it safe to go out?”
The Doctor exhales. “Course it’s safe, babes,” he says, and he forces himself out of the doorway and into the cargo bay that they’ve landed in. It’s a cramped, messy space with boxes, stray tools, wires, papers, and various unidentifiable metal objects strewn across the floor. What was it he’d said to Rogue about surfaces?
Ruby follows him out, grabbing his hand and squeezing it. Sometimes he wishes she wasn’t so perceptive, so unwilling to let his own little lies stand to maintain the illusion that he’s doing just fine, but in this moment he’s grateful for her solid presence beside him.
With a whirr of the sonic, lights turn on in the bay, illuminating a door at the opposite end of the room from where the Tardis has landed. Another brief buzz and the door opens, revealing a familiar pilot’s room. They walk through the door together, and Ruby stares at the combination of sleek technology and pedantic clutter.
“So what exactly are we looking for? You never said,” she says, with an unspoken and how the hell are we supposed to find whatever it is in this mess? Attached to the question.
“If I can get the system back online….” the Doctor says, frowning at his sonic as its pitch shifts slightly. He tries another button, and lights suddenly blink into light all over the console. A moment later, a blue holographic screen flickers to life in front of them. The Doctor grins widely.
“We’re looking for files - anything that might give us more information on Rogue, his species, or anything about his physiology that we might be able to use to track him down,” he says. “The sonic should be able to copy everything off the ship’s hard drive, and the Tardis should be able to parse through the files to sort out anything useful. It’ll take a bit to copy everything though - a ship’s hard drive stores a lot of data.” He’s not exactly sure what he’s looking for, but anything that might narrow down the billions of dimensions that Rogue could potentially be stranded in is a good start for now. He sets the sonic down on the ship’s center console, and it begins to hum quietly, its lights pulsing gently as it begins to copy the ship’s files.
The Doctor begins to anxiously circle the room while he waits, trying not to let himself fall too deeply into memories of the last time he’d been on this ship - only a few days ago, even if it seemed like a lifetime ago. He feels in his pocket for his psychic paper, remembers it spelling out the words “You’re hot” instead of a coherently clever lie, remembers it flying across the room to trigger a deeper scan from Rogue’s machine.
A small gasp from Ruby pulls him from his memories, and he turns around to see her standing at the holographic screen, her hand a few inches away as though she’d just clicked something on it.
“I wanted to look through the folders on the desktop, in case there was anything helpful,” she says, sounding sheepish. The Doctor walks over, and sees a folder of photos spilling onto the screen. They’re all photos of Rogue standing besides a tall man with short strawberry blonde curls and an oversized pair of glasses threatening to fall off his nose. In the photos, Rogue’s features are softer and less defined with youth, and there’s an innocence shining in his eyes that had been gone from the man the Doctor had met in 1813. There’s an openness to his smile when he looks at the tall stranger, and the stranger matches it with a meltingly warm softness when he looks back at Rogue. Anyone with eyes could tell that the two men adored each other.
The Doctor gestures in front of the screen, and the photos begin to scroll downwards. The men grow older in front of their eyes - the stranger loses the glasses and his curls begin to tumble down first past his ears, and eventually to his shoulders. The warm looks that they trade seem to only grow fonder as the years progress.
When they reach the last photo, it’s dated back five years ago in the ship’s relative time.
“They looked like they were happy,” Ruby says. She’s staring at the same timestamp he is.
“He said he’d lost someone,” the Doctor says. “This must have been him.” He wonders what the other man’s name is, how he’d met Rogue. What it had been like for Rogue to lose him.
They stare at the screen for a moment longer, and then the Doctor turns away, overcome with a feeling that he’s invading Rogue’s privacy. Whoever this man was, whatever he was to Rogue, it’s not information that the Doctor is owed.
The sonic gives a sharp whirr, and then falls silent - it’s finished copying all of the ship’s files. The Doctor scoops it back up, and the holographic screen vanishes.
“Right,” he says, with a brightness he doesn’t feel. “We should get back to the Tardis. Nothing else we’ll need here.” Ruby looks at him skeptically, but allows herself to be led back towards the cargo bay door. The Doctor refuses to let himself look back as they leave.

But Dan heng notices reader is struggling and tries to connect to her get close but she pushes them away maybe she training battle she shows of her skills using glyphs and petal burst and weapons and maybe some creatures grim from her world Salem come to express and they don’t know how to handle and maybe reader has flashbacks and so using eyes abilities she saves others and the crew is shocked but mostly Dan heng of how powerful the Reader is maybe she just breaks down holding all guilt since she effect their universe put everyone danger and wants to leave but maybe Dan heng comfort her reassurance giving the love she needed just fluff ending romance if this makes sense if unable to do this request idea due to complex of it I understand agin dm if u have any questions have good day
I Need You
Dan heng x RWBY!reader
Fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, isekai?
A/n: I hope you don't mind that I changed some things up, I haven't gotten past Jarilo VI yet. Also, gonna make Stelle and 7th date in this bc yes. Sorry for the amount of shit that's ooc. Hope you enjoy :]
Readers semblance is called snowfall. They turn themself into snow in the same way Ruby turns herself into a cloud of rose petals, can also add more people to it. But they can also make frozen platforms and such the same way Weiss uses her glyphs. They can't use the snow to change/affect anyone though, like time dilation, nor can they mix any dust in with it(aside from ice to make it more affective). They can't summon in the same way Weiss can either, just small inanimate objects like shards of ice.
_______________
"RUBY!" Y/n yelled out as they used their semblance to pull Neo away from their friend, and towards themself. They used their sickle and tried to cut her, but it was just another of Neo's illusions. They looked back at Ruby as the illusion shattered like glass and they saw her trying to push Neo off of herself. "GODDAMMIT! NEOPOLITAN!" They yelled out in a rage, using their semblance to burst forward and landed on her back, hooking their two sickles over the closed parasol to lock it under Neo's chin and leaned back, pulling Neo off of their friend.
Neopolitan wasn't able to keep her balance up, with them on her back and choking her with her own weapon, so she fell backwards and landed near the edge of the platform that was surrounded by nothingness. It made Y/n lose their grip on the girl and fall off completely. But not before taking Hush, Neo's weapon, down with them. Hopefully, they had helped their friends, even if just a little..
-
Cold. That was all they felt. The chill of winter. Were they in the Tundra of Solitas?.. how did they get there.. what were they doing..? Everything was fuzzy after the broadcast was sent..
Even with their closed eyelids, everything was so bright. They could still feel their two sickles in their hands, something was connecting the two."I need to get out.. before my aura depletes completely.." They thought and tried to stand, letting go of a sickle to cover their eyes from the harsh brightness. Finally they opened their eyes to look down and saw they sickles still connected to Hush. "Oh.. right.. me and Ruby were fighting Neo.. Ruby! Where- wait.."
"Where am I..?" They asked aloud as they looked around. It definitely felt like Solitas, but something was different.. it wasn't as cold as the tundra should have been.. and where is Atlas? It should be right infront of them in ruins. They looked up to the sky, still shading their eyes and saw the moon. It was whole.
A loud yell was heard from behind them. Their eyes still hadn't adjusted to the brightness. Maybe they should have taken Coco's advice a year back and invested in some sunglasses. Oh well, no use in thinking about that now. They turned around to look back and saw a blonde man in armor. That definitely wasn't Atlesian armor. Just where the fuck were they? And where was Yang. She has to have been here aswell. I mean she fell down before they did! The man started to speak. No, more like interrogate them, but they couldn't understand a single word.
"What's going on? And where am I? I was supposed to help with the evacuation from Atlas!" Y/n started to explain, but the man just seemed to grow more confused. He spoke up again, this time in a softer tone, but it just sounded like jibberish to Y/n. He was speaking another language, that's for sure, but it wasn't one of the four from the kingdoms. Was this some native language from people who lived out here?.. But that should be impossible, Solitas is almost completely uninhabitable. Then again, they've seen the proof that this wasnt Remnant. Just who was this man?
Y/n tried once again to speak, this time in Mistralian, "Hello..? Do you know where I am..?" While it hadn't been that long since they last spoke it, it still felt weird. But atleast it got results. The man seemed to understand what they were saying. "My name is Y/n.. I don't know where I am or how I got here.. could you help me..?"
The man nodded before clearing his throat. "Yes. Here, come with me back to the city. We will get everything sorted after. It is.. dangerous out here." He spoke, choppy and not quite all there. Almost like it was a new language he was still learning.
He just stood there expectantly, waiting for them to move. And so they did. But not before picking up the sickle they had dropped and placing the two back in their designated sheaths. Then followed the blonde man.
-
Y/n had been living in Belabog long enough to have learnt the native language. They had learnt about the fragmentum and the monsters it brought. And while they were an upgrade of the typical grimm they had fought back on Remnant, the fragmentum beasts weren't necessarily hard to defeat. The man who had rescued them had taught Y/n all about this world and its language was called Gepard. He had also taught them about the Fragmentum beasts.
But they were getting tired of living here. They missed the others, and they still weren't able to locate Yang. Did she just.. not make it..? Or was she in a different universe entirely? Did the others make it to Vacuo? Was Penny safe? Was Ruby able to beat Neo? They kept wondering things like this, it sucked. To be fair, maybe they died and passed on to a different realm, but still. It worried Y/n that they didn't know anything about their old friends, or if they were even still alive anymore. They hadn't told Gepard anything about their past, claiming to have amnesia. He seemed to buy it, since they clearly didn't know anything about this world.
-
"It's the suspect and his accomplices! Arrest them!" One of the Silvermane guards had yelled out as a suspicious looking man fled the scene, leaving three others behind to fight. Y/N was currently with Gemard on patrol when they had heard all the commotion. They weren't necessarily working for the Silvermane guards, but they did like to help every now and again.
"Hey! Where do you think you're-!" The girl in.. a summer dress? Yelled out to the man, but he had already fled. And just like that, the guards started attacking.
"Should we step in?" Y/n asked, but Gepard just shook his head.
"Not yet." He said.
And so they waited, but the guards were getting their asses handed to them. "Gepard.." Y/n warned. He said nothing. It was only until the girl in the dress was shooting a frozen arrow did he move. Walking over and blocking her attack completely. The girl gasped and took a step back. Was that something she's never seen before?
"I, Gepard Landau, Captain of the silvermane guards, order you to relinquish your futile resistance." He said, but they didn't let up. Instead, the girl spat out a threat.
"GRR!! That Sampo cheated us! Oh just wait till I get my hands on him!" She yelled and her grip on her bow tightened as she thrashed it.
"Suspect! Relinquish your resistance!" One of the guards piped up. It seemed to make her more angry.
"Ugh! So I'm a criminal now?! Forget about Sampo, wait till I get my hands on YOU!" She yelled and fired an arrow at the guard. The fight went pretty much how they had expected it to go. Gepard defeated the group.
"And what of the prime suspect? The one with blue hair." He asked another guard, who answered in apology as he explained how the suspicious guy had managed to get away. But Gepard shrugged off the apology and focused on the three infront of him. "Atleast we have his accomplices. He'll be close by, plotting his next move." But the three explained how they weren't connected to the weird guy at all. And even showed a picture of the planet. Jarilo VI.. it was kind of beautiful from afar..
"Gepard, may I speak with them..?" Y/n spoke up, standing next to the tall blonde. He simply nodded and turned to talk with his guards. "So.. you're all from other planets?" They asked, tilting their head. And two of the three nodded. The tall guy just seemed to stay quiet, like he wasn't actually a part of the conversation, he looked like Ren. "Can I ask you all something.. because I'm guessing you've traveled to other planets aswell.. have you come across one named Remnant..?" They asked, they knew they shouldn't be hopeful but it just seeped into their voice. Sadly the girl shook her head.
"Sadly, I can't say I've been to a planet named that. Can you describe what it looks like..? Do you have any photos of it, or maybe a map of some sorts?" She spoke, she genuinely wanted to help. It made them feel a little hopeful again. She seemed a lot like Nora, it made Y/n want to chuckle.
"Yeah, here." Y/n pulled out their scroll so show her a photo of Remnants map. Hoping that she had atleast seen it. But she only shook her head.
"I'm sorry.. I can't say I've ever seen it. What about you, Dan Heng? Have you ever seen a planet like this?" She asked the tall man, but he shook his head aswell. Y/n seemed sad at the response, but remembered the shattered moon.
"Here! Have you seen this moon anywhere??" They held up a picture of the shattered moon. By the brothers.. they missed it. The two shook their heads again. "Is she new..?" Y/n asked and pointed at the third person.
"Yeah! This is Stelle! Our newest addition!" The shorter girl clung to Stelle. "Oh! Hey, do you think that if we explain the situation to Himeko, that we can bring them along and help them find their home?" She asked.. Dan Heng, was his name? But he sighed and shook his head.
"I don't know." The two reminded them of Ren and Nora. It made them sad to think about, they still didn't know if anyone was okay or not.
-
Y/n hadn't expected this to happen, but they kind of just tagged along with the three other-worlders. Much to Gepard's dismay. It was fun. Like back in Atlas when they were wanted criminals. Well.. maybe fun wasn't the right word to use. But it was entertaining and helped Y/n keep their mind occupied for a little while. Then, when they arrived in the underworld, helping the Happy hun- no, these were Wildfire, not the happy huntresses.
They couldn't help but mix the two up. The leader, who they had later found out was Natasha and not Oleg, was like a secret love child of Robyn, May and Winter.
During this entire time, Y/n found out that the short girl was called March 7th (they just liked to call her 7th) and that she and Stelle were dating. Which, Stelle kind of reminded them of Blake and Pyrrha. They also found that Dan Heng was often left alone or third wheeling, so Y/n liked to join him when out on patrol. Often going out on walks, nothing was said between the two, they just liked being in eachothers presence.
It had been hard for Y/n to open up about anything with these three. But they were the only ones who truly understood what they needed. That's why they liked spending time with Dan Heng. They never felt like they needed to speak.
-
They sucked in a breath, standing on the platform they created. This was bad. Really bad. Svarog wasn't going to listen to the four of them, and Stelle wasn't helping. They needed to get Dan Heng and the others out of here. Bursting into snowfall, they tried to merge with them, but only managed to reach Dan Heng before svarog shot a waring at the two, flinging Y/n away from the others while Dan Heng landed behind the two women.
-
After the fight, 7th walked up to Y/n with sparkling eyes "You can turn yourself into snow?!" She seemed so excited. Too excited. They blushed from embarrassment as 7th was practically pushed up against them.
"W-well..-"
"March. Leave them be." Dan Heng said and pulled the girl off of Y/n. Which in return made them smile and nod a thanks in return. "Although, I am quite curious aswell.." Y/n let out a sigh before nodding.
"It's called a semblance.. everyone on my world has one." They said plainly, not wanting to get into more detail. "Mine is Snowfall."
-
Over time, Y/n opened up a bit more. And bit by bit, started to laugh and have fun. They still preferred to be around Dan Heng, he was like Blake and Ren. Comfortable. It made them more willing to open up.
"So.. how do people get their semblances?" He asked, sitting on the ground next to them, leaning against a wall.
"Well first, a good step is to unlock your aura- err, soul. It's different for everyone. Mine came to me one day while I was training with a friend.. he attacked and I forgot to activate my aura- soul's force field. His blade went straight into my stomach and I suddenly found myself flung into a wall, blade still lodged in my side." They chuckled at the memory, hand over where their friend had left a permanent scar.
-
"And who is this?" Himeko asked, clearly on edge around Y/n. Having never seen this person before, she suspected them to be someone from either Jarilo VI or worse case scenario, a Stellaron Hunter. Even Pom-pom was hiding from them. The same way the little bunny hid from a Stellaron Hunter.
"This is Y/n, they're trying to find a way back to their homeworld. A planet named Remnant." 7th explained, much to Himeko's disapproval.
Himeko turned to Dan Heng and asked if he was sure they could be trusted, "I don’t see why they wouldn't be.. I mean they helped with everything on Jarilo VI. Along with Stelle." He stated. Himeko still felt skeptical but alas, this wasn't her decision to make, it was Pom-pom's.
"I say they can stay.. for the time being, but you all better keep an eye on them!" Pom-pom said seriously. Himeko sighed and smiled at Y/n.
"I.. apologize for that" She said, but they shook their head.
"No, it's good to be skeptical. I don't blame you for it." After all, they had been skeptical of anyone within the Atlas military when they first arrived at Atlas. And even though they didn't like being observed, they understood the caution.
-
Over time, everyone warmed up to Y/n. Even Pom-pom liked them. They always brought some kind of gift back for the little conductor. Himeko, while she had no more suspicions on them, she felt uneasy around them. There was something about their calmness. Why was someone so young, so good with combat? An 18 year old who has combat experience on the same level as a war veteran. It wasn't something she wanted to think about. She heard someone's voice from the next room over and decided to evesdrop in on the conversation.
"So.. you're telling me that in your world, kids are trained from the age of 13 in combat?" Dan Heng asked Y/n, and they nodded their head
"Yeah! See, we have these creatures named grim, they're like Fragmentum beasts but much more mindless. And they're attracted to negative emotions, so in order to protect the cities, we train the next generationof huntsmen and huntresses." They said proudly, though there was clearly something off with how they stated it. Dan Heng wasn't going to ask about it though, he felt that if he did, they would distance themself. That's not something he wanted. He had grown to enjoy their company quite a lot, so the thought of accidentally ruining that by bringing up something they weren't ready to talk about yet felt...
"I see." He smiled at Y/n. "Is that why you're such a good fighter? Would you mind training with me from time to time?" He asked, tilting his head a bit. The smile and nod he received as an answer made him smile in return, though, only a little.
-
The black fog that spewed out all over the floor of the cart brought everyone to high alert. Pom-pom stuck to Welt's side, clearly terrified of the unknown substance. It wasn't until Y/n walked into the train cart that the black ooze started forming in the middle of the room. Dripping from the ceiling down to the floor, creating a small puddle.
"Hm, and here I was, looking for.. someone else." a familiar voice rang out and Y/n instinctively got into battle stance, panic rising. "Now, now.." she spoke out again, rising from the puddle with a.. another hound?! "Do you really think you could take me on? Don't you remember what happened to poor little Summer Rose?" She smirked directly at the huntsman, "and you remember my hound, don't you? How it bested you?~"
Instead of fighting like they should, Y/n dropped their weapons, taking a few steps back, tripping and falling over themself with a scream. Salem just looked irritated. Although, the hound didn't budge one bit.
"Hm~? And here I was, about to inform you about all that has happened. How team RWBY died." She smirked to herself, "go." She said before puffing into a black smoke and the hound sprang into action, leaping at Y/n.
Too frozen in fear, Y/n could only watch as the hound pounced at them.
Then something knocked it away to the side. A spear. "Are you okay?" A voice asked. Who was it..? They couldn't register anyone or anything aside from the hound. Which just stood up like it was nothing.
"Kill.." It said. It's voice more feminine than the last. It's body contorted as it turned towards Y/n. "Kill.. silver eyes.." It said again, walking towards them.
"Y/N! SNAP OUT OF IT!" yelled a woman, loud enough to shock the young huntsman out of their fear. Himeko. Then they noticed an arrow sticking out of its back. Multiple. They were 7th's.
"Someone! Help me blast its face off!" They yelled and got up, grabbing their sickles. Immediately, Himeko shot at the hounds face. Under it was a young woman. Far to familiar for comfort. It looked almost like..
...
...
A blinding white light filled the room as the grim disappeared into dust. Only human bones remained. No.. this was a faunus. She had a tail. Their breath was choppy.
"What... who.. what was that..?" Pom-pom asked, still hiding behind Welt. "Y/n..? Y/N?!" was the last thing they heard from the conductor before collapsing.
-
Their eyes fluttered open, looking around the room. Dan Heng was asleep next to their bed. The conductor was also there, though it looked more like they had just walked in. "H-hello, Pom-pom.." their voice was hoarse, but it still made the little bunny look up with glee.
"Oh! You're awake!" Pom-pom exclaimed, placing the tray with tea that the huntsman only now seemed to notice. "I was hoping that you would wake, so I made some tea. Perfect timing, really." The little conductor smiled at Y/n. "Oh, could you wake Dan Heng? He's been worried sick, hasn't left your side since the incident. He can join us for tea!"
"No need.." Dan Heng's head raised from his position, his eyes just barely opened. "To wake me up I mean." He added, realizing that they might have thought he meant the tea part. "I'll gladly join you both for tea."
Pom-pom made one cup for each of them, handing it out to Dan Heng and Y/n. This was so calming, but Y/n didn't really remember anything, so wasn't sure why they were in the medical cart. Lifting their cup to their mouth, they asked hesitantly "... so what happened..? Before I passed out." It made the other two nervous, they didn't even know. All Dan Heng knew was that there was a grim and some grim woman.
"I.." he started, before pausing to collect his thoughts better. "You seemed to recognize the woman. And there was a grim, or I think it was atleast." It seemed like with what he said made the memories of that night flood back to them.
".. ruby.." They gasped, but remembered that it was a faunus, and not the powerful girl they were close friends with. A headache came on quickly, making the huntsman grip their head with agony. "Ngg..."
"Y/n?" Dan Heng reached his hand out to them, placing it over their forehead. Concern filled him as he felt how they were burning up. Though, his hand was considerably cold making the huntsman sigh with relief. "You're burning up.." he muttered.
Pom-pom handed him a glass of water, "it's for them. Cold. Hopefully it will help. I'll leave some pain killers here. I need to get back to work." The little conductor motioned to the bedside table that had a small box of meds. Dan Heng took the glass, thanking Pom-pom. The conductor nodded and left.
"Drink. You'll feel better." Dan Heng's voice rang out as Y/n felt the rim of the cold glass press against their lips. Helping them drink the water, he asked "need something for the pain?" And they nodded.
A while after he gave them a pain killer and they finished the water, they fell back asleep. He decided to put an ice pack on their head before falling asleep in the chair he was on.
-
"Finally well enough to be up and about?" Himeko asked, and Y/n nodded. It was a relief seeing the young huntsman moving around. Especially since Dan Heng seemed to be so worried about them.
"I wanted to ask.. is there a possibility that we would be able to find my home land soon..?" They didn't mean for it to sound the way it did. But the way it came out made them seem desperate to leave the crew.
Himeko definitely picked up on that, and she wasn't going to lie, it made her feel kind of sad. "Any particular reason? I get wanting to go home, but.."
"I've seen similar events happen.. I.. I just don't want to be the reason you all die.. especially not like that.." the memories had been flooding their mind ever since they woke up after Salem's attack. It had been almost a year since the platforms to Vacuo plan so they've had time to process and move on from that experience. It had been a few months since they last thought about Remnant in that way. But now that they knew Salem could reach them.. Y/n was terrified, and the nightmares had come back to haunt them.
"We deal with stellarons on a daily basis. I think we'll be fine." Stelle had randomly popped up to say her sass of the day. And while it did make Y/n smile, they still couldn't stop thinking about everything that had happened on Remnant because of them and team RWBY.
"Yeah, I suppose.. but Salem.. nevermind. I just want to go home." They looked at their feet, feeling ashamed that they had wanted to leave this amazing group of people. The refused to look up, even when a hand was placed on their shoulder.
"If something like that happens again.. we- we have no idea how to stop it. We would have been dead if it wasn't for you. Please stay. We need you... I need you."
It was Dan Heng's voice. He had whispered that last part, but they could still hear it. Did he- a blush crept onto their face and finally, they looked up at him.
"You make me happy. Comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I feel happy and comfortable with everyone else here, but it's never awkward with you. I've grown to realize that I need you. Please, stay. I love you."
It was probably the most they had ever heard him say in one go. And, even with his monotone voice, they still heard the emotions he put into it.
"Did you.. have you been practicing that line?" Y/n couldn't help but smile, their blush growing. And so did his.
Feeling bashful, he looked away before answering with a small "Yes.."
"I love you too"

am too tired to record this one i think. here is what i would have said about the episode. want a nap. its 8am.
my thoughts on the well - what would be my like 10 minute video on it
8.75, round it up to a 9. What an episode.
Now I must say - im about to go seriously spoilers btw leave now please  - I have never really been a fan of the original episode. I know. It’s a great episode. That doesnt mean I like it. Welcome to objectivity vs subjectivity. With that in mind - it was a really good episode! I hated it ! I was on the edge of my seat in terror but in the not fun way (and to be clear - only doctor who ever achieves the not fun way. Midnight, The impossible planet, night terrors, murder on the orient express, 73 yards. I generally prefer moffats version of it, because he at least caves and gives a reason or slight explanation for everything, ie the 12 three parter, sleep no more, oxygen, under the lake before the flood, flatline. I could go on. Obviously most of those are actually another writer, but, theyre in the Moffat era so go with it.
The doctor and Belinda kinda sorta getting married??? Taking note of that. May be important later.
Obsessed with having toxic back truly phenomenal
Anyways the tardis is all sterile because its a doctor and a nurse in it its a hospital so its sterile I take no more complaints about it
Really ~jumping into the action~ on this episode (bar the pun in sure Russell thought he was so silly with that)
I love the arrogance f the doctor unssuiting - just for it to quite literally screw them over (technically it was the doctors need to know that did but the suits didn’t help)
The thing is I unfortunately do just love ncuti as the doctor. No matter what he does I think I’ll like it.
For someone that doesnt want to be here Belinda is honestly doing so well and keeping up and having so much fun lying and playing the part and shes great at it truly iconic
Cassio was the worst thats kinda all im gonna say there. Wouldn’t listen to anybody but himself. Like just stop moving bud. Honestly what a way to get rid of half the cast though kinda respect that was efficient as hell while also realllyyyy serving the narrative
Also to be completely silly but also serious - so it’s like Clara, river, a small handful of people that actually know his name. Meaning - technically - the chances of Clara, in a face of boy kind of way, being the midnight entit, is technically possible. It would actually kinda make sense to tbh she is that bonkers for it (please dont do this Russell im mostly joking about)
I love (painfully hate) when a could be companion dies. It’s always so mean of the writers. But such a nice emotional note narratively im sorry im a sucker for tragedy in fiction
Oh and - the earth is gone again! Im pretty sure its disappeared from one day on - im going to ponder a guess and say its something to do with the one guy from 73 yards coming back again and with ruby no longer with the entity thing he never became un-preident or something of the sort basically we nuked the planet off the face of the earth therefore no more humans no more earth no more impact on the future ~ kind of thing. Conrad when I catch you I know you have something to do with this
Also sorry - didn’t the behind you part also mean that the midnight entity had possessed the thing that was behind aliss? Or did I misunderstand that part? Which could explain the ending and numbers - the thing behind her went with her in the pod, the entity stayed. i wonder if it ever actually even went into Belinda, or if she just felt like it. Idk. I think this may be the point of the entity and all , but it could have very easily hopped onto the other one, making the entire sacrifice pointless! And I kinda love that its a lovely twist for the vile-ness of the creature - and if this is the case we have only seen the creature it inhabited (which looked kinda like the creatures from hide) rather than the midnight entity itself
I loved the moment where the whole plan was made. That was nice. Normally its just throw stuff run a bit and talk and hope it works out. But he actually took a moment to make a plan and communicate it. Look at the doctor growing and learning
So what is going on with the vindicator ? Why does flood want to know about it? Is she following it? Im so curious
The grime on the set truly added to it that was really nice
ALSO the lighting and set design on this episode - the way it goes from the tardis brightness to the dullness of the planet to the gorgeous golden orange hue of the hallway… creative team you deserve so much love well done
Loved the ‘hope is irrelevant’ bit - because I so deeply disagree and the whole point by the end is that it is relevant ugh I love it
People have been mentioning the want for things to remind the doctor of the danger and all of that and how Belinda should outright be like ‘no doctor. Youre dangerous. I hate you . Goodbye’ but like… killing off side characters does that just as well and often can pack (as seen in this episode) just as much of a punch
“What we should have done in the first place - nuke this site from orbit” - I cant help but wonder if this adds to the missing earth thoughts ive been having. That could very easily be some RTD foreshadowing bad-wolf style
Also well and truly poor aliss girl just wanted to make some food and all of a sudden everyones killing each other like she was handling herself very well given the circumstances
can we take a moment for the subtitles those are cool as hell can we get those irl ? But also …. I feel like the tardis should be able to get an upgrade that would do that but im not sure how it could
And Take note from Belinda Chanda how easy it is to go “well we aren’t quite there yet but we absolutely should be’ and remember that we aren’t dealing with a monster of epic proportions and to go fix the problems we do have (in this case - ablism)
The directing when the doctor steps forward was damn weird but im guessing that was either because ncuti wasn’t on set so it was a stand in OR it was to keep the doctor from dying based on the spacing and all that but I honestly cannot tell
Simolin is going to matter later. I dont know how. But they keep mentioning it by name.
Something about Belinda being the first one to notice. She looks to deeply at things. And yet even being the one to notice, she manages to not actually be bought into the fight of it all. Even looking at the thing that is meant to absolutely screw her mind up - it doesnt. Belinda has a psyche of steel and I cant wait to see how that will later impact with whatever the hell is going on with missing earth. Not only does she see right through the doctor, but she sees right through the entity. She doesnt lose communication , she continually blames herself… she may end up noticing stuff in the next few episodes. Pay attention to where her attention is. She may be one of the smartest companions to companion (simply due to her
The wars came. Diamonds. Everything is making me think about S3 finale. About utopia. About the S4 finale. The bees. I —— theres something here.
Belinda definetly had a crush on Mo
Am a bit confused why aliss was lying about the thing behind her but it is what it is
Love the use of a diagram me too Belinda gal
Im fairly certain it’s been implied that it might be part of the pantheon - but we will never know. Which feels like a good balance on that. On that note - This season, with all the pantheon stuff, is actually covering a really interesting aspect - what happens when the villains just, enjoy it. When they destroy things for fun? And how no matter what you say to them, they simply want to keep having fun. Because for them the destruction is fun. And I cant help but notice its at the same time that many world leaders are doing the exact. Same. Thing. What is the line between the pantheon and them, outside of them being fictional gods? Do they not act the same? Treat others the same? Even though they didn’t cornifm it as part of the pantheon, they confirmed it was just as willing and excited to destroy as they were. You dont have to be one of the gods to aim to be as destructive of them. and how we (like the doctor) very much do have the power to stop them. We just have to actually try. Which of course we can at least get a start on by bringing back woke with a force but we gotta S3 it and actually work together on that stuff.
“Please dont turn your back on me” already obviously means a lot because aliss is deaf and literally cant communicate if he does, but also because thats how this entity kills. continuing on my last point, if you let yourself turn your back on a group (uk ; trans people , us ; immigrants, I could go on) you are choosing to allow the possibility of them being killed. Im sure someone will write a much better version of that (please im begging its a very important point) but thats just my preliminary thoughts on that
God this episode has a crazy bodycount omg
Ncuti is such a phenomal actor he truly deserves so many awards I just… hes so perfect for this role I do just love him so dearly
Shaya is her name <3
The little run motion he does is just so cute omg I know y’all hate space babies but I do just love seeing the doctor being all cute and silly
Okay also I do think there is something to the boom of it all. In both episode 3’s , a companion mostly dead? Varada in both?
Ack doctor who is so mean what do you mean im crying again quit killing butches omg. Basically gave a doctor ass speech. Ugh. Tears. Ouch. Well done. Congrats you made it hurt well done.
I love Belindas like ‘okay im not dead not immediately pivoting - where the hell did earth go’ she did not waste even a moment
“Bravery in the face of impossible odds” CLARA SPLINTER CLARA SPLINTER CLARA SPLINTER” I yell as they drag me away
Also preemptively - Conrad I hate you I haven’t met you yet but I hate you

My TV's Gijinka!
Well... It's been a long time since I last posted something there, hasn't it? It's been... What, months now? That's crazy! However, I came back with something, that I guess you would to see! A gijinka, or rather an Anthro-Object... Or Objectheads? Nevermind!
Tumblr media
Original creation date: February 15th, 2024
So, yeah this is a pretty old picture, however despite it, I still want you to see it too! Originally, I wanted to post it alongside his headcanoned family, however... When I realised I might not do that, I just decided to upload him first, however don't worry - I will upload my other Gijinkas/Object Heads (or Anthro-Objects? I have no clue what to call my designs!), so I promise ya won't have to wait that long for me to post something again!
Headcanons below!
Warning, there are mentions of bullying, mental health problems and death, so read at your own risk!
Family headcanons:
He was born on October 8th, 2000, exactly one year after Schulkie - the last cat guard, died. His father, the Announcer, was worried that it could be a sign of some sort of bad luck, however nothing bad really happened.
His biological family is the Announcer and Jasmine (my OC, who is a smartphone), who are his parents and Remote, who's his older sister (she's 40). He has fostered brother - Donut and fostered mother - Cherry Jam (@classypartynerdpalace OC).
What happened with Jasmine is a mystery to everyone outside his family (and his friend circle), however some speculate, that she died when he was too young to remember her (though it is often debunked, as he does mention her, however not by name, but by her description, and also some people say, that they know Jasmine personally [Jasmine is pink smartphone woman]), or that she left the Announcer because of their love between each other not being "genuine" [it is often noted, that they were never happy together, that they were married, because of the Announcer's father - Rekt wanting him to get with someone rich, and Jasmine appeared to be rich enough]).
Speaking of the Announcer's parents, Rekt (TV's grandpa), who is a Dark Red Speaker Box, and Kotl (TV's grandma), who is an azure speaker box, never met their grandkids, due to them meeting "early fates"
TV and Donut, despite them not being related by blood, treat each other as siblings (they often play games together, spend time together, either by talking, listening to music, watching cartoons together, competing, etc.)
Despite having completely opposite personalities, he and Remote have pretty good relationship with each other, however TV is closer with Donut.
He has distant cousin - a silly television called ZickZack, who is related to him in an unknown way (however, most people speculate, that he is related to him through someone from Jasmine's family, as the Announcer was the only kid to Rekt and Kotl, and he himself confirmed he "Doesn't know if he does have any family relationship between speaker boxes, and even if he had, they didn't get to the Earth")
The surname to him and his whole family is Aurelious (Taken after his father). He feels pretty content with having Aurelious as his surname.
His mother, Jasmine, had a surname of Baird.
From his father's side, he has the cosmic background, from his mother's side - he has Scottish and Italian background (just like his sister - Remote).
Relationship headcanons:
Despite not showing it often, he does hate Golf Ball for the things she did to him, when he was younger, and how she never apologised to him (though he doesn't know, that she does regret her actions and wants to make amends with him).
He does hate Pencil and Match too, especially the first one, for mistreating and bullying him, when he was young too.
With other Freesmart members, he is on good terms with Book and Ice Cube (especially with Book, as both of them deal with the same mental problems), is neutral towards Ruby (he finds her annoying, however not to the point of hating her), and has a thing going on with Bubble (they're dating).
He has a thing going on with Tennis Ball too (they're dating)
He is QPP with Pen and Pie.
He dates Liy, Bottle, 8-Ball, Tree, Snowball, Basketball and Robot Flower too
One of his most controversial decision was to date an Algebralian, or rather two Algebralians - Two and Seven
He is secretly having a relationship with Evil Leafy
He is friends with Fanny, has a neutral relationship with Firey and Leafy (he doesn't hate them, but doesn't like them either)
Whenever he does hate someone, he shows it, as being constantly sarcastic, doing allusions to how he was treated by them, or just avoiding that person, whenever there's a chance (ex. he avoids GB, Match and Pencil)
Interests!
He is interested into mechanics, engineering and creating stuff, so that's why he went to study engineering, and started to try to to help 8-ball into his own laboratory.
He sometimes helps Basketball with stuff too
He really, really loves going to the local beach, whenever he has the chance, as viewing the waves moving towards the land, or even seeing the biggest waves during the fall in Goiky, or seeing them being caused by something else, seeing the local Goikian birds being there and there, listening to the noise of the waves and seeing the sun, makes him calm down, whenever he's in bad mood.
He does love to go to the Evil Forest, not because he loves facing Evil Leafy, but because he feels... He feels like he DOES belong there, that he would feel great living there, that he would fit in there (this is related to him feeling heavily connected with the Evil Forest and with Evil Leafy in general),
About video games, he loves all types of video games, whether those are RPGs, shooting games, however his favourite type of video games are definitely horror games, especially the psychological horror genre. The reason is, he finds them extremely relaxing, they help him calm down his nerves, and he can relate to ALL struggles the characters are going through.
He does try to create music, however he's still bad at it.
He is a pretty neat cook, to be honest, however he's not a master chief.
He does like listening to music, especially if the tone of the song is completely opposite to the lyrics. Why? Probably due to him knowing, that the world does try to sell him messages, while doing the opposite of the said message.
He is interested in science, however, unlike Golf Ball, he doesn't want to take it to the EXTREME.
He sometimes streams various games on some sort of Object version of Twitch, or Youtube. His nickname there is "SCOTTISHGAMER2000"
He rarely goes to the parties, and if he goes to one, he prefers if it is a small party, not a 100-200 hundred people parties (he hates, when there's too many people in one place)
He does love drawing a lot, however his paintings and art is often... Disturbing, to said at least. Some of them show disturbing images, such as people dying, the planet being destroyed, forest burning etc.,
He does write too - he writes either the most heart-wrenching stuff ever, or some of the most heart-warming stuff. There is no in between.
Other headcanons:
Due to little to nothing information about his personality, I imagine him to be someone, who is often melancholic, lonely, creative, however can show his side (ex. being sarcastic, being sneaky little bastard), who tries to try to find positivity in this world. He is also that type of person, who despite struggling with mental health, who experienced a lot of bullying, when he was younger, he still wants to help people, especially the ones he cares the most about.
He can sometimes be a really sneaky bastard, if he wants to.
He can sometime isolate himself from others, due to him having "worse days", and not wanting people to worry about him (which does the exactly opposite, really),
He is diagnosed with atypical autism and depression,
His real name is Sean, however he prefers, when strangers and people, who don't know him well, refer to him as TV.
He relates to Book's past and often feels, that she does understand him, as they both went through a lot, went through a similar experience, and that they could be friends. Great friends.
His partners and QPPs are aware of his relationship with Evil Leafy, and tries to keep anyone else to not know it, due to possible backslash related to who Evil Leafy really is,
Sometimes, he questions himself, if he is real, if everything around him is real,
He wants to keep going, however there are moments, where he wants to give up,
He acts like a cat a lot of times, for example he can purr, he can stretch himself as much as possible, he can curl up into a ball, and sleep in that position, he can see in the darkness, he can "loaf" too.
Speaking of acting like a cat, he does like to be pet under the chin, just like how most cats like to be pet there!
Sometimes, he wishes he could be healthy, he could be able to keep stable relationship with people around him (he tries his best)
He attends therapy weekly, and his therapist is Candle (from III)

Plot Bunny that will not leave me
--Salem gathered the 4 Relics and successfully summoned the gods. The Brother Gods deem humanity unworthy and cast Ultima, once again decimating the entire human population except for 2. --Jaune and Ruby are the only survivors; due to Ruby and Jaune's Aura being linked and successfully neutralizing the Brother's attack. --Jaune and Ruby wander around empty Remnant, with Ruby pretty non-responsive. She walks she eats and breathes, but she does not talk does not laugh nor emotes. Jaune is little better, but can still force himself to push through for Ruby's sake. If there is one thing he was good at, it was being strong for someone else.
--Jaune and Ruby find ruins regarding Salem and Ozma's time, during the Age of First Humanity. Within them is a library with old tomes and grimoires. Most of them are ruined, but some of them are in perfect condition despite clearly being ancient. --Signs that someone occasionally read them in recent times are apparent. Jaune discovers even more secrets by way of notations made by someone within the texts. Speaks of how the Soul is made of Light and Dark, and while humans have learned to harness the Light, the ways of Darkness have been lost and reduced to mere myth or at best, as obscure cults.
--Jaune reads everything he finds aloud for Ruby to hear as well, even if he is unsure if she is even listening. He makes sure that she eats her food and makes sure to keep her healthy. 3 years since the end have passed and Ruby has yet to respond. --Jaune realizes that most of the texts speak regarding the harnessing of Light and Darkness, and how full mastery of both can lead to a fusion of sorts, which could lead to the successful usage of the soul's full potential. Some notations even theorize that whatever the "Darkness of the Soul" is, it is most likely associated with Grimm and their make-up. --Jaune recalls the converstations he had with Pyrrha back at Beacon, how everytime she spoke to him and taught him about Aura, she spoke about it in a way that was very similar to spiritual doctrines and beliefs. And how everything she told him were basically repeated in the tomes and grimoires. --Some texts also spoke about a time far before even Salem's. Specifically, they spoke about a "Tyrant of Light" and about how the Darkness was constantly being mislead and betrayed by it, and how the tyrant's desire for Absolute Order caused it to create heartless laws in order to keep all creation under the grip of its authority while hypocritically referring to it as "maintaining peace", despite said tyrant also being the one who often drove zealots to cause wars and unrest by crusading on its name every time humanity seemed to have reached a golden age.
--5 years since the end of the world and Ruby still hasn't shown any changes to her condition, while Jaune has now taken to travelling across the desolate Remnant in search of more tomes, texts or even any more objects or relics that can describe more about the old age; his newfound thirst for knowledge and helping Ruby being the only things that kept him from completely shutting down like Ruby had.
--He now knew some magic spells, though he did not have Magic to use them, but has tried to access the so-called "Darkness of the Soul" the texts spoke of, in order to fuse it with "The Light of the Soul", that is to say Aura, in order to create a new energy he hypothesized to be equal to Magic. Jaune's belief was, that if he could use "The Power of the Soul in it's Totality", and if he could use Magic with it; then maybe he could tinker with it until he could finally use the knowledge that gave him his hope back.
--A tome spoke of an ancient time spell. The wizard who wrote it, one who hailed from a time before Salem and Ozma; spoke of how humanity's fate had long been decided. The wizard also spoke about how "The Tyrant of Order" had actually come to disdain his and his brother's creation due to them always using their free will in way he did not approve. To the one of Light, free will meant "Having Free Will to choose to submit to him"; but humans were too independent, the more the one of Light tried to impose his will upon them, the more he tried to force them to a certain path, the more the humans defied him and rebelled. While Dark had animosity for the humans due to their lack of acknowledgement, he also greatly respected their drive to survive and thrive. Even the Grimm were, in his eyes, his own way of showing affection.
--To the "Lord of Destruction", Grimm were not only meant as a tool to cull the truly vile and evil (Jaune: "Wait, is that why they always seemed to sense focus on negative emotions"), they were also meant to give humans a challenge, a struggle. A constant battle that would force humans to constantly adapt, constantly grow, constantly evolve; it was meant to feed the fire of their determination and their passion for life. Although humans, in turn, saw it as the hatred of a scorned deity was never acknowledged for his actions nor thanked for his gifts.
--Back in the truly ancient days, the "God of Darkness" and the "God of Light" were equally worshipped and revered. Light and Dark, Life and Death, Creation and Destruction; these two concepts were acknowledged as the two pillars that served as the foundation of their world's laws. While one saw humans with an affection akin to how one would care for a toy for their own amusement, the other considered humans as no more than puppets for him to control, no more than servants to praise him. To one, their free will and spirit was what made humans interesting and entertaining; to the other, it is what made them insolent and compelled them to chase their own self-destruction. .........More to be added later

Evil Leafy from BFDI?
I actually felt so lost during her whole thing... I really don't remember too much about her but I do have some headcanons/plot ideas about her! I know that she's treated as "Leafy's evil sibling" or something like that (last time I checked on the wiki for more information on her), but I have this one interpretation/hc/AU with her though?
Tumblr media
Leafy did a deal with someone in the past to get rid of anything that could be unpleasant of herself, probably because she felt miserable as a whole with being angry all of the time and that. So she got separated in two people, one being the Leafy we all know and love who's sweet and wants to be nice and loved, and... Evil Leafy. The complete opposite of her. A menacing being who scares every contestant no matter what.
Now, Evil Leafy is the pure embodiment of anger and evilness after all. She doesn't talk because of this. Because talking means exchanging chats with other objects, getting herself in possibly vulnerable situations, getting attached to someone. Her being able to teleport is an effect that is quite curious as well. Everything that she can feel is just... hatred.
But NOW what I would to do develop her in said scenario? Do a whole "getting better because of someone who's the complete opposite of her". Ruby, most likely. Evil Leafy is much more than the half of a person, Leafy is becoming her own person now, EL should get that treatment too. She slowly begins to realize that there's much more than being full of spite and stress.
Slowly but surely... she starts blossoming. Learning new feelings. Making new friends. Acting much more like an object, being able to maybe even walk as well, and talks just a bit too.
She's her own person now, and she doesn't have to be called "Evil Leafy", but perhaps just... Leaf. Or Autumn.
In terms of hcs, I actually thought for some reason that she was a guy? Even though she's like... Leafy but Evil? That's her whole thing? But apparently in the series that happened too, they initially referred to her with he/him pronouns so. Transfem Evil Leafy (real).
And demiaro-bisexual Evil Leafy too. Polyam mayhaps.
I think she would like cows and would be good friends with anyone (if she lets herself be vulnerable) but Firey. She looks like the type that holds grudges for a loooooong time. (Even if she's not Leafy).
I think she would like sweet n' spicy foods.
It's so ironic that you're bashing Fate for being woke but you're putting RWBY on a higher pedestal.
I'm just happy I'm just happy we stopped the suppression/gaslighting campaign that there is no wokeness/problem with how some issues are presented and the audience is being treated as a whole that doesn't necessarily make every objection to the idea or progressive cultural values good but I'm just happy that we finally stopped suppressing it it's like when you're actually talking about what the issue is about rather than really mouthing a rationalization that you have to constantly engaging because no other method is allowed
That said it's arguably be cuz with that sense of fear that has made some of the more attempting to be progressive series so terrible
Take RWBY arguably season 9 should be a reflection season but it should be one where the characters actually pick up their genuine mistakes look at them decide what they did wrong and what they're going to do right in the end
Even if those are mistakes we can't fault them for it's not a bad leader that reflects on failure quite the opposite even if that failure has no fault to it because they are dedicated to doing the right thing and improving themselves and the people that they are trying to lead
The same as The same as even though I know he's completely wrong I'm okay with the blow up at ruby by John or even ruby at her team because at this point she's at the end of her rope she doesn't know what to do and she doesn't understand why the hell she has to do it and she's reached this breaking point much further after everyone else long has
The problem is the artificiality in order to make all of this happen as well as try to give it weight rather than just organically have the characters talk reflect understand each other and grow
The only thing that's kind of sort of organic is John and his involved time travel
With the upcoming season of arcane I really appreciate the fact that we have what is arguably a very progressive story where the drive is between women at the very least we have sexuality and sexual orientation not assume to be traditional and straight
But it doesn't stop on a simple team Jersey ra ra. it's hard to say who the bad guy is in all of this and even if there is a very obvious evil from say a traditional easy to have straw man such as the rich elite you then have to sit down and go okay so how do they fix it and suddenly you're hit with the fact that it's not as easy as kill the rich elite
The one character that acts upon this direct and with no regard to anything else is banana nut crazy
Wait Wait the 2 characters. 1 is called out as immature and damaging the very things she's fighting for and the other is banana nut crazy.
the one who pretends to is an exploitive drug dealing hypocritical groomer Desperate for all the things he envies in others and ultimately only comes to realize what his true goal should have been for the beginning after he's destroyed itOut of the same supposed love that's been driving all of his exploitation.
This is because This is because it's genuinely being political and that politics is about the negotiation between 2 needed will and resources on people who disagree but need each other to come to some sort of outcome and the negatives of when that does not happen or how it is approached
Way to Way too often what we get is propaganda fiction where all you have to do is kill an exaggerated straw man of your opponents and out comes a happy ending.
And more importantly I love killing the idea of destroying the hissing at both sides there are 2 sides of this you need both sides to agree and if you can't do that or you can't engage on how to get 12 the other and what you are advocating for all that you might claim the otherwise is the suppression orAuthority do not have to do that which is a lot more evil than you realize
One of the things that's really scary about nazis last week they were your neighbor or best friend you speak the same language and now they hate you so much that they're willing to kill you for a bunch of stuff that you don't even really understand or thought were good things or just innocent things
But this But this all gets sidestepped for a sort of I found the family that basically gives me everything I want like a changeling fantasy Whose association makes me pure snow because now I'm a victim and that's not responsible for my part and all of the damage that was caused and now can just revel in attacking that which once had authority over me or I was a part of because I will replace those who had authority over me previously
There will be no negative problems to this or if they are they will easily negated let's move on to the love triangle
And that And that's what the Crim Della crim of the c***
It's why I It's why I hate politics and stories because it feels as if it's not actually engaging with the political process or thinking or a person but being a means a political action against the audience and charging them for it
That's just preaching. And the obligation to take part in a luxury product being driven by the same or taking the place of a religious institution or community membership is disgusting

while ozma did betray her trust and it is clear that salem hasn’t gotten over it—as you say, extreme overreactions every time someone who isn’t named cinder fall lies to her—i actually don’t think that betrayal is why she isolated herself after the ozlem kingdom fell.
for one thing, although salem reacts very badly when people actually lie and uses the threat of those overreactions to intimidate (e.g. 4.11 “did you lie to me?”)… and she has very high emotional walls… she doesn’t seem to have any problem trusting her associates, in comparison to ozpin (“do you really think leo was the first?” + all but stating outright that he lies/keeps secrets because he expects everyone to betray him eventually).
for example:
in contrast to ozpin (who had a plan of action in the event of his death with specific instructions for all of his agents to follow and becomes intensely suspicious of lionheart on the basis of lionheart saying “the council overruled me”—even though we know from v2-3 that the councils can in fact do that), salem just gives her people a basic objective (“secure sienna khan’s alliance,” “find the spring maiden,” etc) and leaves it up to their discretion how. this suggests a pretty high level of trust in their capabilities, judgment, and loyalty.
despite hearing from lionheart and watts that cinder changed the plan (and watts would’ve told salem that cinder did it to have a shot at revenge against ruby, bc that’s what he believes, so salem received this information in a way that made cinder out to be disobedient), salem has absolute confidence that cinder will try to recover the lamp and bring it to salem; before hazel drops “ozpin’s back” on her she is fully planning to just move on to the vacuo operation without doing ANYTHING about the lamp, because she trusts cinder to handle it
she’s had an agent searching for the relic at beacon academy for at least a year now, with zero progress whatsoever and no oversight beyond (at most) occasional check-ins over seer call. but she doesn’t seem to feel the slightest doubt regarding this agent’s capability or loyalty; her presumption is that ozma must have hidden the damn thing really well. (compare ozpin’s inner circle thinking qrow might have been “compromised” because he dropped out of contact for a few weeks.)
salem implicitly trusts the message watts sends to tyrian using an unknown scroll from atlesian custody, something that would be really easy to fake outright or force him to write under duress.
she trusts hazel enough that it takes her a solid couple of minutes and discovering that the lamp is missing before it clicks for her that emerald was hiding oscar with her semblance.
but at the same time it’s obvious from the way salem handles cinder’s defiance and hazel’s defection that she isn’t just arrogantly assuming that no one could possibly ever betray her: she understands exactly why cinder disobeyed her and is completely unsurprised (and may have been. counting on) hazel coming to emerald’s defense. so she’s well aware that doesn’t command absolute unwavering obedience. she just… chooses to put her trust in those who choose to work for her, until and unless she’s given an unequivocal reason not to.
but. um.
the last time salem reached out to the world and told her story and made connections with people willing to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with her in defiance of the gods…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
…this is what happened. the gods didn’t just hurt her, and they didn’t even stop at killing everyone who stood with her, they slaughtered every living person on the planet and then set the planet on fire for good measure, and they explicitly did that punish her. “you thought there was no greater punishment we could bestow upon you?”
this is why she left civilization after ozma refused to abandon the task the god of light gave him. this is why she stayed in exile for so long, why she let him keep her a secret, why she didn’t dare reveal herself even though she’s visibly pleased when ruby tells the whole world her name.
the gods murdered the entire world because a few hundred people took her side. ozma is the loyal servant of those gods and he’s been trying to get rid of her for thousands of years so that he can call them back to rule over humanity again; he left her almost without hesitation when she refused to obey, attacked her when she caught him leaving,* and that fight was so brutal and out of control that they killed their kids and everyone else in the castle. her last memory of him before she killed him is that he incinerated her—she was a pile of ash.
(*ozma tightens his grip on his staff and begins the motion of drawing it back in the shot right before the fight begins; before salem attacks there’s an extreme close shot on her eyes widening she notices and startled at his movement. in reality they attacked each other at the same time, but oz remembers salem striking first and salem remembers him striking first)
so like—is salem willing to risk that ozma won’t follow his god’s example? that the man who burned her to ashes in rage the last time they met wouldn’t go after any community she found for herself, wouldn’t slaughter anyone who stood with her in opposition to his divinely-ordained task?
when his gods literally burned it into her soul that her punishment for seeking out help was for everyone else in the world to die?
her self-hatred and her conviction that no one will ever want to help her exacerbate the problem but they are also symptoms of the deeper cause. everything salem does is predicated on her understanding that the gods have used genocide to punish her and intend to do it again if the whole world isn’t united against her when they return; if there is even the smallest risk that her plan to defeat them might fail, she has to be alone. the gods have to see salem isolated from everyone else, without allies, without friends, without anyone in the world who thinks she deserves sympathy, or everyone will die if she fails.
and even that might not be enough. but still. she’s so happy when ruby rallies the whole world against her.
And what does Salem want? Narrative has been saying “end the world so she can rid herself of the curse,” and sure, that might not be it because it’s based on faulty assumptions. But wouldn’t her end goal be to get out of immortality?
well. the narrative has said a lot of things:
to “change the world,” qrow says, “is exactly what the enemy wants” (v4)
salem “can’t be stopped, can’t be reasoned with, and will not rest until humanity crumbles at her feet,” says raven (v5)
salem’s rebellion sought to “destroy their old masters” and “claim the powers of their creators for themselves, and in turn, perfect their own design”
millions of years after that crushing defeat, she tells ozma they could “become the gods of this world” and “create the paradise the old gods could not”—same goal.
”why spend our lives trying to redeem these humans when we could replace them with what they could never be?”—in essentials, irrespective of how you read her specific meaning, this is “why should we try to go back to the old ways when we could make something new?”
salem is doing all this to “tear down the huntsmen academies,” ruby says (8.5)
“you’ll only be helping her bring about the end, for all of you!” oz shouts in a desperate attempt to scare cinder out of bringing the staff to salem (8.6)
hazel believes she’s trying to create a “new world order” with no huntsmen academies and no kingdoms (8.7)
oz deliberately misrepresents the nature of salem’s immortality to support his claim that “all she craves now is release. death,” while trying to scare hazel into turning against her
tyrian believes she’s “destruction incarnate” and “wishes to see the end of it all!”
salem tells cinder “in pursuit of a new world, no cost is too great” (8.14)
in WOR episodes and her soliloquies, salem speaks highly of humanity and of the democratic councils but is utterly disdainful of the huntsmen academies (which exist to “protect a lifestyle,” in her view) and of ozpin’s “guardians” and “monuments” to a “so-called ‘free’ world”—her protégée grew up a slave in the heart of atlas, ozma’s crowning achievement—and she declares that his guardians will fail him, his monuments will fall, and that she “can’t wait to watch [him] burn.”
so… on balance, not only is “salem intends to change the world” the first thing we’re directly told about her, it’s also the narrative that aligns with both salem’s history (on three separate occasions in 6.3, she rejects the divine order and envisions a new world without the brothers) and everything salem herself has said (“in pursuit of a new world” + her specific ideological problems with the “lifestyle” huntsmen uphold, a lifestyle that turns a blind eye to child slavery, inequality, genocide—remember the faunus had to fight a war to stop the human kingdoms from trying to forcibly “centralize” the faunus population in menagerie (1.12)?—and relies on using children as cannon fodder while restricting all training in self-defense to an elite warrior class that more or less exists above the law, bc people who live outside the kingdoms don’t need huntsmen)
the only character who truly, unquestionably believes that salem wants to Destroy The World is tyrian, who is off his rocker.
everything oz says about her plans in v8 has to be taken into consideration that he’s 1. a practiced liar and 2. actively trying to manipulate salem’s agents by appealing to their fear of her, so he has a strong incentive to distort the truth—which he does, by misrepresenting her immortality as a ‘curse’ and lying about what the end clause is. (the brothers didn’t curse her, per se; they dropped her into the fountain of life and told her she could “rest” only once light was satisfied that she’d learned her lesson).
and then raven phrases “she will not rest until humanity crumbles at her feet” in an ambiguous way that could mean either “salem wants to destroy humanity” or “salem is going to confront the gods and get everyone killed again” depending on how much raven actually knows.
the other factor to consider is that. it’s really strongly implied in the lost fable that salem accepted that she might never be mortal again before she even incited the rebellion. “if she were to turn humanity against light and darkness, she could rid herself of their curse, or at the very least… she could make them suffer.” <- she hoped that she could find a way to become mortal again, but she knew it wasn’t a certainty. the god of light implied to her that only he and his brother could restore her mortality; she dedicated herself to destroying them anyway.
like. she made a choice, then. that she wanted to topple the brothers even if it meant she would never ever be able to die. and even after they butchered the world and left her deathless in the ashes for millions of years, even after she became desperate enough to throw herself into the pool of grimm… when ozma told her there was a way to call the brothers back and plead for mercy, salem didn’t hesitate even for a second before saying no. she has no interest in redemption.
if she wanted to die the only thing she’d have to do is go to ozma and tell him she’s ready to repent. they both know that’s what it will take for the world to be spared, salem humbling herself before the gods to repudiate her rebellion. and it’s not like salem has any pride; she says “it’s all my fault” with her whole chest and describes exactly how she erred with cinder in front of her whole inner circle (and ozma), and she calms down when yang tries to provoke her on purpose.
it doesn’t matter if she’s actually repentant or not. she knows the brothers aren’t omniscient; all she has to do is bow down and say the god of light was right about life and death and she’s sorry for being so selfishly arrogant. and then she could rest.
but… “we finally had freedom.” and “your monuments to a so-called free world.” and her song: “you can’t have my life/i'm not your sacrifice/you can try, but i’m free/and you won’t conquer me/i won’t crawl/most of all/i won’t fall/for you.” and hell even the myth she quotes to ozma when she rejects the mandate: “This land is no less hospitable than where we came from,” the people on the beach said. “But here at least we have control of our fates, free from the influence of others.”
freedom. over and over and over again, what salem wants is to be free; first from her tower, and then she finds her freedom in ozma’s eyes, and then immortality is her prison only for as long as she’s trying to kill herself to reunite with ozma but becomes her greatest weapon the moment she turns her attention to liberating the world from the tyranny of the brothers, and then she believes she’s found freedom with ozma again until he admits his true his intentions and:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she’s back in the tower again.
the divine mandate, ozma’s endless crusade to destroy her, to rid the world of her influence, to keep her in exile by casting her as the root of all evil while he tries and fails and tries and fails again to unite the world without her so he can summon his gods and be rid of her forever—that’s her tower, now. salem just wants to be free.

can you do a rafe cameron fluffy fic where rafe finds crystals around his room and car, and he confronts the reader and then she starts to tell him all about crystals to the point he wants to give them a try? thanks 😊
crystal clear ❀
rafe cameron x crystal loving girlfriend.
warnings: swearing, but otherwise cute fluff :)
words: 1,047.
summary: rafe cameron found out you were hiding crystals in his room, car, and pockets. he goes to topper to see if he knew what was going on, and after topper explained what it meant, he confronts you.
request? yes!! more written requests, are coming out tonight!
a/n: inspired by, ruby! also, thanks for the request, i was actually planning on already doing something similar to this! i actually think i know who requested this… hehe. if you enjoyed please like and comment! <3
my masterlist
——————————————————————————
the first time rafe found your crystals were when he was struggling to fall asleep. he repositioned his head on his pillow, a sharp object poking his skull. he frustratedly stood up, his hand exploring the inside of his pillow trying to feel around for what was scratching against his scalp. he pulled out a small rock, confused about how a pebble ended up inside his pillow. he examined it, the purple color looking quite pretty, it was small. he shook his head, wanting to sleep. he placed the small crystal on his nightstand, before successfully falling asleep.
when he woke up, he had forgotten about the rock, it managed to fall off the nightstand. when he went to silence his alarm clock, his arm completely pushed it off the table. so, he went on about his day.
the second time rafe found your crystals was when he was in his car. he was about to leave when he noticed them sitting in his cup holder. he closed his eyes for a moment, a realization flooding his mind. he remembers you talking about crystals, wearing necklaces, as well as carrying an entire bag of them. he placed the crystal in the cup holder, before running back inside his room to find the purple crystal he had found in his pillow.
rafe searched around his room, car, and pockets. in the end, he had found five different crystals. he placed them inside a bag and then headed out to his car. rafe left, driving to meet up with topper.
rafe arrived at the golf course, yelling out to topper, who was smiling with a golf club in his hand. “hey man.” topper grabbed rafe’s shoulder, “how have you been?” they started walking, “i’m alright, i have a question though.” topper nodded, “what’s up?” rafe reached into his pocket to grab the small bag of crystals.
“do you know what the fuck these are or what they mean?” rafe handed the bag to topper, who stared at them, “rocks?” topper questioned, causing rafe to laugh, “yo that’s what i thought they were but they were hidden all over my house.” topper glanced from the crystals to rafe, a smirk finding his lips. “oh shit man….” topper looked up at rafe, who was confused. “oh shit… what?” rafe asked, causing topper to laugh and looking away.
“oh no, she’s got you. she’s one of those crystal bitches.” rafe wasn't entirely sure what topper was on about, “what the fuck is that?” topper shakes his head laughing, “you are officially her bitch.” rafe scoffs. “seriously? what are you talking about?” topper handed rafe the bag back. “she’s claiming you, buddy.” topper walked ahead, leaving rafe behind him dumbfounded. rafe jogs to catch up.“you are crazy. she’s not claiming me, she doesn’t own me. what does it actually mean?”
topper stopped walking, turning to rafe. “why don’t you just ask her?” nerves fled to rafe’s stomach. “because… i cant.” topper shrugs in response, “well then i guess you’ll never know her true intentions on why she hid crystals around your room.” rafe plays with the bag, “fine i’ll just ask her.” topper nodded, “okay. good luck with that.” rafe and topper played golf for an hour before they parted ways.
rafe drove to your house from golfing, him excited to see you. he still didn’t know how he was going to confront you, so he was slightly nervous. he pulled into your driveway, turning the car off. he breathed in, before gaining enough courage to head inside.
he knocked on your door, and you rushed towards the door smiling. “hey baby!” he smiles at your warm welcome, pulling you into a huge hug. “hey babe, how has your day been?” he questions you, walking inside and sitting on your couch. you quickly follow after him, sitting directly to his side. “my day was okay, pretty boring. how about yours?” you snuggle against him.
“my day was pretty relaxed. went golfing with topper, and found these.” your heart drops when you notice him pulling out a bag of crystals from his pocket. “what are these babe?” you bit your lip, “crystals..” he nods. “no i know what they are… why are you hiding them in my room?” your eyes widen from his question, “well rafe you know i love you, i wanted you to have these crystals because they will protect you and give you positive energy.” he nods, “okay, why didn’t you just tell me?” you shrug, “i don’t know.”
rafe handed you the bag, “tell me about them and their names.” you smile excitingly. “okay! yay!” you explain all five crystals to rafe, telling him the names, what they do, and how to charge them. he paid attention to your every word, focusing on your face to the crystals. his heart fluttered as you spoke so passionately about them.
“what do you think rafe? do you want to start using crystals?” your head tilts to the side waiting for an answer. he smiles softly, “i would love to, i think they would be helpful.” you stand up, rubbing your hands together. “i’m so glad you said that! i actually already have a collection started for you!” you rush towards your back room, pulling out a small baggy with more crystals, and a paper that told him what the crystal did.
you hand him them, and he smiles. “you went out of your way to do all of this?” you laugh. “of course, you mean so much to me.” he stands up, joining you. he pulls you into a hug, his arms wrapping around your waist, your arms around his neck. he whispers inside your neck, “thank you, no one has ever cared enough to do this for me.” you frown, pulling away slightly so he could see your face, but was still able to be holding you. “rafe, i’m your person now. i care, and i will do anything for you.” he nodded shyly. “thank you.”
you two sit on the couch again, cuddling together. he was studying the paper he received from you. he kept asking you questions about the crystals, and you gladly answered. later, you and rafe planned on charging your crystals, and he was excited he could do this with you.

Zelinktine’s Month Day 10 - Proposal
Here is my contribution to the amazing Hype Squads Zelinktines month event. Not gonna lie, I struggled with this even though I chose the prompt based on a tiny little hc but I did it, it’s here and I hope you enjoy!
It was an honour to be a part of this event with all my favourite authors and artists, you guys rock and I love you all so much ♥
(Please excuse any mistakes).
I Give You This Ring Rated: G Words: 4196
Amber: Check, plenty of good ones to choose from.
Opal: Check, 314 in the slate, 3 useable
Luminous Stone: Check, 643 in the slate, 7 possible favourites.
Topaz: Check (but would prefer clearer ones)
Ruby: Check, 96 in the slate, 60 good enough, 2 perfect
Sapphire: Check, perfect one found and ready
Diamond: Check but not good enough
Sweat glistened on his back, his shirt long since discarded as a hinderance. The metallic sounds of metal against ore filled rock permeated the air. He was exhausted, but still he kept on hammering away in search of the purest and prettiest stones he could find. The effort will be so worth it, he knows it. Nothing but the best for his Princess.
He had scoured all 4 corners of Hyrule, searching and mining for the most perfect gems he could find. He wanted Zelda’s ring to hold all of the precious stones known to the kingdom, to represent all of Hyrule. As is tradition, the diamond was to be the biggest stone and would be mounted in the centre of the ring, nestled between 3 gem stones on each side.
With one more swift blow to the ore he was working on, Link almost stumbled forward as his Boulder Breaker was suddenly the object being broken. He huffed out a puff of air, trying to dislodge the hair sticking to his sweaty forehead to no avail so instead he wiped his forehead on his arm as he glanced down to the shimmering stones in front of him. Bingo! He finally found a diamond. Not only that, it was a perfect specimen! He counted his lucky stars that the last blow broke the ore and revealed the gem he was seeking, since he was out of useable weapons for mining and it would have been a shame to leave the ore after he had gotten so far through it.
Link grinned as he watched the gem glint in his hands before tossing it into the air, catching it and then pocketing it. He had it all planned out: the proposal, the ring, everything! Zelda was hopefully going to love it. She just had to find it first.
Next stop: Visit Isha in Gerudo Town to commission the ring.
***
Zelda entered her study that morning to a surprise waiting on her desk. An envelope addressed to her in Link’s unique penmanship sat atop her papers and guardian parts, a Silent Princess flower placed at the corner.
Hurrying to her desk, she smiled at the flower before tearing into the envelope, eager to discover what was within.
  Zelda,
Queen of my heart, I offer to you this quest.
There are several clues hidden for you around Hyrule. Each clue will guide you to the next location and when you have visited them all your prize shall await you.
Your first clue is this: Where our quest ended but our lives just began
Happy travels, my love and have fun!
P.S. I’m not a clever man so I know the clues will be simple for you to figure out but please humour me. I promise it will be worth it if you complete this quest. Trust me.
  Yours always, Link
A wide smile crossed her features, and she dropped the letter back on her desk and rushed to get ready to leave the castle. This was going to be fun; she just knew it!
 ***
Zelda was glad she her riding outfit as she warped to Kaam Ya’tak Shrine on Hyrule Field. It was going to be a long day, but for once she was looking forward to it. Having finally gotten some time off from her duties, she was determined to make the most of it. Not one for idling around the castle, Zelda found that she liked to keep busy. Clearly Link knew this only too well and it’s why she found herself on some form of treasure hunt around Hyrule. It's very sweet of him, she thinks, to go through all this effort to give her something to do, knowing that she wanted to keep active and her mind sharp. Goddess, she loves that man with all that she is.
She made her way across the field, trying to remember the exact spot where Ganon fell to Link’s aim and her golden light. The clue was accurate: their quest routed in destiny did end on this field, and it was where their new lives began when they were reunited once more.
It’s around here somewhere, just a little more  , she thought, as she glanced at the map on her slate and scanned the field in front of her. She had long since shut out memories of the terrors bought by the calamity, including the final battle that had been long and tiring. Her life had begun again the moment Link had confirmed that yes, he did remember her (mostly), and they had shared their first embrace in over 100 years.  That was it. He stood about there and I was over here , Zelda thought as she glanced at the map again.
“We met in the middle somewhere he — oh!”
How could she miss the bunch of Silent Princesses that sat a few metres away from her current position?  Head in the slate as always Zelda, that’s how!  she chastised herself as she gently picked the bouquet of flowers that Link had left for her, and tore into the envelope with as much excitement as the first one.
  ***
“I am older than I look and wiser beyond my years,” her next clue read. At first she wondered if the clue could refer to the Great Deku Tree, but she soon realised that — no disrespect to the Deku Tree — he did look his age. There were many wise people in Hyrule, but who did she know that was older than they looked? It implied they look young —
“AHA! That’s it!” Zelda grinned and pulled up the map on her slate, zoomed in on the ancient tech lab and warped there.
Her feet barely touched the ground before she lurched at the door. In her excitement she all but took it from its hinges. The occupants inside didn’t seem surprised to see her; in fact it was almost as if they had expected her.
“Ah, Zelly! There you are!” Purah cried as she sprang from her stool from where she was working at her bench. Symin looked up from his book and gave a polite bow of the head before picking up where he had left off during the interruption.
“Purah, has something been left here for m—” Zelda was cut short when Purah held an envelope between her fingers out to her. She took it carefully and raised an eyebrow at Purah before turning it around to open it.
“Linky dropped this off earlier today, he said to expect you and to give it to you when you came looking. He seemed to be in a hurry and didn’t elaborate further. What's it say?” Purah bounced on her tiptoes to try and see over Zelda’s elbow. She turned the paper towards the shorter woman for her to read.
“Link has created a quest for me in my time off. He knows I get bored and restless with nothing to do. I have no idea what I’m searching for with these clues but it makes it all the more exciting if I’m honest.” Zelda couldn’t hide the smile that reached all the way to her eyes even if she had wanted to.
“Neigh, my home is not a stable nor would I make a suitable travel companion,” she read aloud.
“It’s obviously referring to a horse,” Purah proceeded as Zelda finished, “but not a friendly one?” Zelda had folded the arm that held the envelope across her body and propped her other elbow atop it, resting her chin on her fingers as she thought about the clue.
“The Royal horse can be a royal pain in the as—“
Symin barely looked up from his book when he interrupted. “The horse statue. Sanidin Park Ruins.” He almost sounded bored, and the others hadn’t even realised he’d been listening.
“Symin!” Purah chastised. “This is supposed to be Zelly’s clue to work out and you just ruined it by giving it all away!”
“It’s okay Purah, I was literally about to make the statue a suggestion, so it’s good to know I’m on the right track!” She had her slate in hand again, map function at the ready.
“I’d love to stay and chat, you know I would but—”
“But you have better things to be doing. I know, I know! Go, go have fun!” Purah all but waved Zelda off, which Zelda might have found offensive d if she wasn’t so excited to continue her quest.
  ***
Zelda had chosen to warp to Rota Ooh Shrine as opposed to Mogg Latan as it had the added advantage of not being on a mountain (she didn’t have a paraglider to make getting down much easier) and Outskirt Stable was nearby. When she materialised on the shrine platform she wasted no time heading down the hill towards the stable. To think, there was a time when she was desperate to enter these shrines and would baulk at the idea of just walking away so casually. It surprised her to realise that she considered other things to be a better use of her time. Oh, how 100 years can change a person.
She giggled to herself as she approached the counter of the stable, the stable master's face changing to one of recognition as soon as he set eyes on her.
“Ah Princess! We’ve been expecting you! Sir Link came by earlier today and asked us to have a horse ready for your arrival”
And with that she heaved herself into the saddle and nudged the horse into a gallop north-westwards towards Manhala Bridge before following the road round to Safula Hill and the Sanidin Park Ruins where the next clue awaited.
When she unfurled the next clue she was surprised to find no words. It was an image of the ocean with a palm tree. Well, that narrowed it down somewhat. What could she deduct from the clues? What did they have in common? They definitely seemed to be personal in nature, including their shared interest in all things equestrian, her love of the ancient Sheikah tech, and where they met each other again after a century. So this image must also represent something personal to the both of them.
 ***
“Our first kiss!” she breathed aloud, recalling the day with great fondness.
They’d visited Lurelin Village for a break from rebuilding the kingdom and it had been a perfect getaway. It was on the second day there, after they had spent the day playing on the beach, chasing crabs, fishing and swimming in the ocean. After Link had cooked them dinner over an open fire, they strolled down the beach with the waves gently lapping at their bare feet. The gentle breeze had ruffled her hair and Link had tucked a runaway stand behind her ear, touch gentle and eyes soft. It was like they had been drawn to each other, both leaning in and meeting in the middle where their lips touched in a chaste kiss. They pulled away slightly and both wore furious blushes across their faces. They were about to lean in to share a second kiss when an errant wave splashed them up to their hips, startling them out of the moment. They had laughed and ended up continuing their walk down the beach hand in hand.
She snapped back to the present with a shake of her head. An ancient screw held a piece of parchment onto the palm tree where they had carved their initials in a heart. Zelda turned the screw to find her next clue in the parchment, pocketing the screw for later.
My heart is a puddle where my love runs clear.  This was certainly the most cryptic one so far. She couldn’t think of anything that they had done together that involved water or running apart from the oceanside where she currently stood. Zelda looked around somewhat hopelessly.  And he said the clues would be simple for me! He really needs to give himself more credit for his intelligence, she thought . And that’s when she spotted it, a sign hanging outside of a nearby hut that detailed excursions to Lover’s Pond.
That must be it,  she thought and pulled up the map on the slate, looking around for any sign of Lover’s Pond. That’s when she noticed it, the travel medallion symbol located on the top of Tuft Mountain.  He really has thought of everything, she thought before warping  to the travel gate Link had planted for her.
 ***
The view took her breath away and Zelda couldn’t believe her eyes when she inspected the pond structure to discover how it had been made.
“Extraordinary! It’s natural!” But her discoveries were cut short when she noticed a Korok with a leaf propeller floating in the air near a small canvas tent. The Korok waved when Zelda dusted her clothes off and made her way towards it.
“Ya ha ha, you found me!”
“Yes I did, though you aren’t really hiding are you?” Zelda’s lips curled into a small smile
“Mr Hero said that I am the clue,” the Korok responded.
“And that’s all he said?”
The little forest spirit shrugged. “He said if you were really stuck to tell you that you aren’t lost because you found me.”
Curious,  she pondered.  I found a Korok… a lost Korok…
“It’s the Lost Woods! Or more specifically, Korok Forest within the Lost Woods, isn’t it?” She was quite pleased with herself.
“That’s the one!” The Korok all but beamed back at her.
“Thank you Mr. …  erm, I’m sorry I don’t know your name.” She flushed and went to scratch the back of her neck before realising what she was doing and stopping herself. A habit she was clearly picking up from Link.
“Twiley,” the korok grinned, “but all my friends call me Twiglet, and I like to think we are friends, Miss Princess Goddess!”
Zelda chose to ignore the nickname and made a note in her mind to ask Link about it later.
“Well thank you Mr. Twiglet,” Zelda said as she cupped the little Korok in her hands and gave him a peck on his little leafy cheek. If Koroks could blush, Zelda swore Twiglet turned scarlet.
“Yep. Mr. Hero is right! He is one lucky guy!” Twiglet gave a cheeky grin and waved as Zelda began to vanish in a stream of blue light once again.
 ***
“Great Deku tree, it is good to see you again, old friend. Tell me, has Link left anything here for me?” Zelda asked while bowing respectfully to the elder tree.
“Indeed, your hero was here earlier, young princess.” Wooden cheeks rose with a smile.
“What did he tell you?” Zelda hadn’t meant to be so blunt but she couldn’t hold her excitement. She had to be coming to the end of the quest by now.
“Now, words intended for you would sound so much better in his voice would they not?” and a branch seemingly pointed towards the podium where the Master Sword once rested. Hestu stood beside it.
“Shaka! Place the slate where the sword once was and YAHA!” Hestu began dancing along with his explanation. “Secret clue, shakalaka!”
Zelda laughed at the exuberant display and placed the slate on the pedestal. She and Hestu watched in awe as the screen began to light up in a blue glow. Once it was finished glowing and remained motionless on the pedestal, Hestu spoke up.
“Well, dontcha wanna know what he said? Let’s see!” His maracas vibrated in excitement as Zelda stepped forward and took the slate in hand once more.
Tapping the slate made a video begin to play, and she beamed as Link’s face filled the screen in front of her, trying to prop the slate at a level where he could be seen clearly.
“Hey, my love!” He grinned at the screen and gave the back of his neck a scratch like he always did when he felt awkward. Suddenly, the image was tilting away from him.
She couldn’t help the watery smile and hiccupping giggle that bloomed across her features when she saw Link scramble to catch the slate and decide to just hold it at arms length to continue.
“I can’t wait to see you, baby girl, so hurry up and finish the quest already!”
Zelda wiped her tears on her arm as Link continued.
“Your prize awaits where the cherry blossoms bloom the brightest under the protection of the lord.”
Satori mountain!  Her thoughts rang in her head although she couldn’t concentrate. Zelda’s eyes were still watery when the video finished playing, and the Deku tree suggested she sit for a moment while the Koroks brought out a small picnic that Link had packed for her and stored inside the tree. At first the sight of the picnic had made her cry again, overwhelmed at how thoughtful Link was and how lucky she felt to be with him.
After she ate the Koroks began to entertain her, putting on little shows and plays, and she had to admit that their amateur dramatics were very good. They included her in some of their performances and before she knew it Zelda was laughing, running around and playing with the Koroks.
It wasn’t until she accidently dropped the slate onto the ground, checking it for damage with a worried furrow in her brow, that she noticed the time. She had been here for far too long and needed to carry on her treasure hunt.
Upon announcing her departure the Koroks all chorused their disappointed “awws” and “ooohs” but were soon hushed by the Deku Tree as he wished the princess a farewell.
“Don’t be a stranger!” he said just before she had clicked her next teleportation location.
And as she began to vanish, she thought she heard Hestu shout “and go get that hero!” though she wasn’t sure.
 ***
She arrived at the Satori mountain shrine when the sun was dipping towards the horizon and the birds were starting their evening chorus’. She inhaled the cool evening air and stretched her arms high above her head before ascending the mountain in the hopes that she was nearly upon her prize.
Gooseflesh rose on her bare arms where her sweat from the walk up the mountain began to cool as she walked between a section of mountain that had been split in two. Somehow Zelda felt a sense of calm wrap around her senses as the aroma of cherry blossoms made a home in her nostrils.
She rounded the corner and stopped in her tracks. Zelda had to make a conscious effort not to let her jaw drop in stunned awe as she laid eyes on Link for the first time that day (far too long if you asked her). He knelt beneath the cherry blossom tree with a blue glow highlighting his features, his hand outstretched towards a small blue creature.  A blupee!  Zelda thought excitedly as her breath hitched in her throat.
The noise wasn’t loud, but the blupee turned its head nonetheless, and upon noticing the newcomer to their little glade it ran off, taking the glowing blue light with it. It didn’t matter though: The bright smile on Link’s features as he stood and made his way towards her could outshine the blupees any day.  Hell, it could outshine the lord of the mountain himself,  Zelda thought as she took in the softness of her loves eyes.
“Was that —?”
Her question was cut short as Link reached her, cupping her cheek with his hand and tilting his head as if appreciating a masterpiece.
“Hey,” he gently muttered as he pulled her into his chest for a fond embrace and suddenly, Zelda had goosebumps that weren’t related to feeling chilly anymore.
“Hi,” she whispered as they parted and Link took one of her hands in his and led her to the edge of the cliff, hanging back to let her take in the whole scene in front of her.
The view stole her breath, stole her voice and stunned her into a silence that was full of adoration. Link thought he hadn’t seen anything so beautiful in his entire life, and he wasn’t looking at the view.
The sun was cresting the horizon now, painting the sky in a dusk time glow of oranges and yellows that bathed Zelda in its warmth and made her look like a goddess.  She is a goddess,  Link thought, and he swallowed the lump in his throat as he approached her, wrapping his arms around her waist and nuzzling his nose into her neck. The smell of the cherry blossoms were nothing compared to the smell of her hair and her skin. Her beauty was divine.
She hummed and melted into his arms as they watched the sun slowly dip below the horizon and the stars began to twinkle above.
“Link.” Her words were breathy as she turned toward him, and he could feel her heart rate as he took hold of her wrists.
“It’s so beauti —” she began only to be stunned into silence once more when she turned to realise that Link had dropped to one knee in front of her. He slid his hands from her wrists to her hands instead, bringing each to his lips in a tender kiss. Zelda could only watch as the dying light shone as bright as the sun in his eyes.
Her mouth opened and she was about to speak, but Link got there first.
“Zelda, my princess, I love you with everything that I am and still, I am unworthy of your greatness —”
She was about to protest when he carried on.
“— but I will spend the rest of my days trying to become worthy of you. I want to be by your side always as the goddess intended for us. All that I am, I happily give to you. My love, my heart, my body, my soul. Everything.”
He pulled out the ring he designed with Isha. Zelda gasped when she saw it: Seven gemstones in total, three on each side of a stunning diamond centerpiece. She couldn’t stop the tears that began to flood her eyes.
Link, his eyes also glassy with tears, took her left hand in his again and looked up to her with hope and adoration adorning his features.
“I give you this ring as a promise to be by your side always, to share in the good times and the bad, the triumphs and defeats. To get through it all together, side by side, like we always have.
“Zelda, forever the queen of my heart — will you marry me?”
Tears ran freely down her cheeks now as she dropped to her knees to be level with him. He wanted to protest about her kneeling on the dirty ground but didn’t get the chance.
“Never say you aren’t worthy, Link. You are my champion, my saviour and my whole entire world. If I am to rule this kingdom I need you to be by my side. Not as my knight, or as the goddess’ chosen hero, but as my husband and my equal.” She gripped his hands tighter then and took a deep breath to calm her shaky voice and teary eyes.
“Is … is that a yes then?” Link asked with hope lacing his words, his eyes bright with promise.
“Yes, Link! Goddesses, yes, of course I’ll marry you!” And with that he slipped the ring in its rightful place on her left hand. He’d hardly got it past her knuckle when she launched herself at him in the tightest hug ever, planting kisses all over his face as peals of her laughter rang out into the twilight air.
Link cupped her cheek in his hand and wiped her tears away with his thumb. They both smiled giddily at each other, basking in the glow of their love. Zelda tucked a strand of his hair behind his ear with her left hand, her new ring glinting in the light, and he took her hand in his for them both to admire how his ring looked, sat prettily on her finger. His heart swelled with pride as he glanced at her.
“I love you, my princess” he whispered.
“And I love you, my prince.” He barely had time for the grin to reach his features before she pulled him to her to seal their engagement with a kiss.
At the peak of the mountain range the lord of the mountain stood proud - peace time was well and truly upon a very deserving Hyrule.

Note
I'm totally hijacking this thread, because I could do this forever until we've exhausted literally every scene with them.
The second episode is interesting because the scenes dealing with the death of Opal's baby were originally shot to be part of the pilot episode, but then ended up being clipped and made the focal point of this episode.
So the pilot establishes the love triangle with this little kiss that almost came out of left field:
Tumblr media
But originally, there would have been a lot more interactions between Neil and Christy centered around their disagreement and subsequent making up about Opal's baby.
To remind anyone who hasn't recently watched the series or read the book of the context, Opal McHone (Fairlight's sister in the show) finally had a little girl. But the baby was suffering some sort of ailment that the mountain people had attributed to being "liver growed". The cure was to touch the baby's heels to the back of her head. Opal did this and accidentally broke her daughter's back. Christy was the only one at the mission, so she was asked to lay out the child and prepare her for burial. When she seeks out Neil afterward, she is shocked, angry, and wanting to blame something or someone for this unnecessary death.
She argues with Neil, accusing him of not doing his duty in teaching the cove mothers how to take care of their babies. He explains that he's done his best, but on certain subjects, his word can't cross Opal's Granny (who had been a local herbalist with a healthy bit of superstition worked into her remedies). He explains how much time he has to spend stitching up these people because of the feuding. He doesn't have time to teach mothers about taking care of their babies because there's only one of him. He also makes a statement that makes him sound like a complete atheist when she wonders how he can believe in God. "I don't! I believe in science and in myself, and I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you!"
Tumblr media
Later, Opal overhears Christy explaining to Ruby Mae that Opal's ignorance is what ended up killing her baby and goes into a deep depression and won't eat or talk to anyone. Meanwhile, her husband, Tom, is being hunted as part of a feud aggravated by a dispute about a moonshine distillery, so he's not there to help his wife. Christy takes the McHone boys to the mission and arranges for Fairlight or Miss Alice to stay with Opal.
I love how when Neil and Alice are talking about Opal's condition, Alice comes to Christy's defense, and her words have an effect on Neil. She starts to walks away, but then turns around to tell him that she thinks Christy needs to see him. It's rare to see Alice encouraging the relationship between Christy and Neil (and it's probably because it's early on in the series and she hasn't sensed Neil's regard for Christy yet), but I always appreciated her insight in that moment.
To the man's credit, he does what she suggests and says exactly what Christy needs to hear, with a little physical comfort thrown in for good measure.
"It's my fault," she says when she sees him, her voice cracking.
He quickly assures her that's not true. She says that using Opal's baby as an object lesson for Ruby Mae was a heatless thing to do.
He grips her arm and leans in, telling her that she didn't set out to hurt Opal or for this to happen.
Tumblr media
When he makes no move to let her go, she looks and him and briefly dips her head as though she wanted to lean it against him, but then changes her mind and looks forward again. "Will she get better?" Christy asks.
Tumblr media
Neil puts his other hand on her shoulder and gives her a gentle squeeze, "I can't say. But if you flog yourself over it, you're no good to anyone. Take it from a man who knows."
Tumblr media
We're seeing a clear glimpse into Neil's heart. Beneath the gruff exterior, he's a man who deeply feels every one of his failures. He internalizes so much of the troubles of the cove and blames himself for failing his people. Christy realizes that, though he vehemently defended himself to her, he truly does feel responsible for them...even as he is arguing to absolve her of blame at that moment. Over the series, we see him struggle with this time and again. He gives her more grace than he gives himself, but he also recognizes the futility of allowing guilt to cripple you.
This tender moment showcases one of the great strengths of their relationship. They have similar passions and a similar propensity to take too much on themselves (albeit in different ways, which is why they drive each other nuts). Neil has more experience under his belt, so he is able to guide her through the rough spots particularly effectively, because he's been exactly where she is right now.
At the end of the episode, Opal rallies and helps establish a truce with the feud.
After a brief talk with David, where he offers to "ride her home" (dude seriously needs to work on his phrasing), she declines and says she'd prefer to walk. David turns around and looks at Neil, who is standing behind them, and gets this look on his face and responds "Fine, I'll see you later", with a little too much emphasis...like he suspects she's just lingering to talk to Neil. Which - haha, sucker - she most certainly is.
Neil watches David sulk off. Go on home, pup...
Tumblr media
...and then saunters up to speak to Christy, complimenting her for the part she played in the outcome, saying she worked a miracle.
Tumblr media
She smirks and replies, "Not me, Doctor. Only God works miracles".
He grins at her retort.
"And God helps those who help themselves, right? Then take the compliment...it was meant sincerely," he adds in a low voice.
She catches his change of tone and stares at him, feeling for the first time that little rush of pleasure she always gets when he praises her. "Thank you," she all but whispers.
Tumblr media
Look at her looking at him! I'm always left wondering at these little scene breaks - was there more? Did he walk her part of the way home? All the way home? Did they stand there talking more after that? Or did he just note that little look on her face and head to his cabin to rheumenate on it for the rest of the day/night/week?
Okay, your turn @fandomsbyladymelodrama
@darsynia
No pressure on this, but I wanted to ask if you'd like to tell me about one of/some of your favorite Christy scenes, and the things you like most about it/them? I can't singlehandedly revive the fandom on here, but it's such a joy to talk over this show with other fans!
I didn't realize until recently how thoroughly the Neil/Christy relationship informed my romantic preferences in all the media and writing I've done since watching it in my teens. Older, scholarly man/younger, determined woman, some kind of angst in the man's past, a need to change things for the better as an intrinsic part of the woman's character, a taboo element that stands in the way of the relationship... Even in the slash pairings I love so much, there's still so many elements of it!
Tumblr media
Hey filmmakers, don't think we don't notice that you frame these two with Christy on a step/incline half the time to de-emphasize the height difference...
Oh my, oh my. Okay, first, let's be real. I've been waiting for an ask like this since 1994 (baby Tumblr wasn't even born yet 😂) so get ready for some major Neil/Christy feels that I've been suppressing but also diligently-tending-in-the-background for 30+/- years. THEY. ARE. PERFECT. Top-shelf OTP bottle, for sure. You understand, right? Of course, you do. We've discussed. But yeah, I feel the same way about this show/book/pairing influencing and informing both my writing style and romantic preferences in fiction over the years. Happy to admit it. Yes *raises hand* 1000 times yes. Hello, my name is ladymelodrama, and the fact that CBS so cruelly stole resolution for Neil/Christy from us forever (I'm not counting the PAX movies, I'm just not) is a crime against good television everywhere and will haunt my Christy-loving bones until I'm dead and buried in the ground deep enough so's the critter's can't find me, as Little Burl or Creed Allen would say. Anyway, you asked about Neil and Christy and favorite moments and since I can't just pick one...
Tumblr media
I have a proposition to make :) Let's trade fave moments until we run out of them, maybe? No pressure, of course, but this is me mostly unwilling to commit to my Top 5 Scenes until I finish my rewatch, and even then I'll probably change my mind a couple times 😂 But here's one that I'll discuss in detail today and which I like to call the "Will This Do?" scene aka "and then they both smiled their little smiles at each other and lived happily ever after. The end." <3
Tumblr media
(Credit to @heatherfield for this gif, and bless you, friend, for continuously shipping the same pairings as me - makes my gif-hunting so much easier haha <3)
So why do I love this scene so much? Oh, you know. Margret's dress. Objectively, it's gorgeous (the woman had style, even if she had no heart). And hey, it only coded Neil/Christy as endgame from the first episode, no big deal. Plus it was one of the softest moments in the whole show and THE WAY THEY SMILED AT EACH OTHER. Ugh. Soffffffft. I'm mean, you're seeing this too, right? ;) Meanwhile, I'm sure David is over here in the corner...doing what David does best XD Lurking. Always lurking.
Tumblr media
(and, based on the pic I chose, maybe taking notes on how to have better chemistry with Christy? - "Dear Diary, Neil MacNeill is kinda the worst, have I mentioned?" 😂) But in all seriousness, what I love about that scene (and the exchange of smiles, in particular) is how there's an honest-to-goodness, my-spirit-just-spoke-to-your-spirit bit of humanity happening there. I die for those moments, little and quiet as they may be. It's just so...SOFT. They don't know each other yet. Not really. There's no romance at play (other than what I assume might be mutual physical attraction, even if Christy would never let herself go there. Not on her first days in the Cove) so it's more a budding friendship that we're seeing and friends-to-lovers is one of my favorite things? (Jorleesi, Jisbon, Siegfried/Audrey, Obidala, Red Cricket, Dickon/Mary much?). I also really enjoy when she comes down the stairs looking all pretty-in-lavender with her hair down (still lolling at your comment on that detail btw because...c'est vrai 😂) and "Oh no, David, it's so late...how will we ever get to Lufty Branch in time?" "Not we, Christy." (exactly, David, you're getting it). Too bad she has to spend all afternoon in this rustic cabin with a plaid-shirted, barrel-chested, brogue-speaking, moody mountain man with inside pain for dayssssss. Oh the everlasting horror XD
So yeah, so much to love about this scene (and the entire convo in the cabin afterwards and him plucking her from Theo prior to the whole dress thing - guy helps girl down from horse = I'm in love 😍). To witness the very beginning of their arc (okay, Part II of the beginning, but the doctor was busy with brain surgery during Part I, so you know what I mean) and to have the actors play it so, so beautifully and in an Appalachian setting that's just misty and magical and to die for all by itself... Mmmm *chef's kiss* Your turn, @darsynia <3

The Darkest Minds (2018)
Tumblr media
While I didn't enjoy this film, that doesn't mean you won't. No matter what I say, the people involved in this project did it: they actually made a movie. That's something to be applauded. With that established...
Released in 2018, The Darkest Minds was way too late arriving at the party. This film doesn’t even remind you of The Hunger Games so much as it does The Fifth Wave. It's the clone of a clone of a clone and boy, the DNA degenerated sharply with each copy. Even if this picture could somehow get sent back to 2009 when it would’ve been fresh, it would've still been rejected. You can foresee every plot point way ahead of time, the characters are shallow and everything you could consider good has been done before.
After a crippling disease kills 90% of all children and leaves the survivors with superhuman abilities, the world falls to pieces. Placed in an internment camp with the other remaining teens, Ruby Daly (Amandla Stenberg) has used her powers to alter people’s thoughts/memories and avoid the fate of all level “Orange” children: execution. Escaping one night and joining forces with Zu (Miya Cech), who can manipulate electricity, brainiac Chubs (Skylan Brooks) and their leader, a hunk who can move objects with his mind named Liam (Harris Dickinson), they search for sanctuary in a world that hates and fears them.
The first time I saw trailers for The Darkest Minds, I thought it was a sneak peak at The New Mutants (2020) because… yeah, this is just The X-Men run through the YA dystopian novel adaptation process. You know what that means? Teenage angst in the middle of much bigger things first and foremost. The instant Ruby and Liam see each other, you know they’ll end up romantically involved. The dude’s handsome and he’s the leader - despite not being the smartest in the van - so of course while the fate of the world is at stake… these teens are busy making googly eyes at each other.
This is one poorly-written story. Ruby is in constant fear of being discovered. Both by country-roaming bounty hunters and her fellow teens. You think being able to throw bricks and logs with a thought is powerful? Ruby can alter minds with a touch and force anyone to do anything with a look. She’s so powerful… it makes the movie lame. Once she’s out of the camp, you never really feel as though anything or anyone should pose a threat to her. When she is in danger it’s because she’s not smart enough to use her abilities to their full potential.
The rule of thumb here is that your first impression is always correct. The antagonists are so flat and uninteresting the lame prom-like dance, the drama as Liam reflects on the way he was “forced to be turned into a weapon” by freedom fighters and the huge lapses in logic feel like a breath of fresh air. Before escaping the camp, Ruby was being forced polish boots. That seems like a bit of a waste. If I heard my son or daughter was sent to a rehabilitation camp for juvenile would-be superheroes and they were responsible for menial tasks, I’d be mad as hell. In fact, where are the parents? I know the kids are dangerous but you can’t tell me some of the couples aren’t thrilled to have a kid whose IQ skyrocketed overnight.
While we're asking questions, I have a few more. I know the world’s fallen to pieces, but why? I know children are the future but it’s not like adults stopped existing and now that I think about it, the film begins SIX YEARS after the plague began. Has no one been born since then? There’d be less people, sure, but the people left would still be there to make more? I know we’re not supposed to think too much about the backend of this story but you can’t help it. What’s in front is so dumb, so flat and predictable you’ve got to asks questions to keep yourself from completely losing interest in what’s on-screen.
Director Jennifer Yuh Nelson steals entire scenes from the X-Men films - notably one of the final moments from X-Men Origins: Wolverine (bad call). Everything about The Darkest Minds screams "forgettable" and its “see you next time” ending will make you laugh out loud. I suppose miracles do happen but I think everyone watching will know this is the first and last time we see this world. (On Blu-ray, May 3, 2019)

She Will Learn (Rio x Reader)
Look I will let y’all in on a little secret, the way this account is going to work is by me seeing your requests, making a mental note to finish them and then getting an idea for another imagine that wasn’t requested but can’t move on until I write it so.... Enjoy!
P.S I chose Greece cause I am from there and I never see us anywhere
Tumblr media
(Y/n) had met Rio when she was about to graduate college, a business major that was striving for being the first millionaire in her family. She came from a lower middle class first generation immigrant from Greece, her parents were troopers for successfully raising her and her siblings, they never had things to spare yet they had enough to be respectful.
He saw her at a restaurant, completely overdressed and accessorized like she was dining in France, however she somehow made it look like she didn’t think about what she was going to wear, like this was her natural way of dressing, her nails were done and he noticed how... soft her hands looked.
What intrigued him was that she was extremely kind to everyone, she smiled brightly at the waiters and she would often reach over to her friends for a touch of encouragement of just a simple caress, she exuded confidence that made you feel like you would never dare to touch her, still she carried herself with elegance and in a graceful manner.
“Excuse me, can you tell me who are the girls at the table over there?”
“Oh they haven’t been here before but I can tell you they are here to celebrate for the girl in the red dress, it’s her birthday”
“Oh is it? Send them a bottle of champagne please”
“Right away Sir”
He was never the flashy type of guy, he never cared for stuff that showed his status or economic achievements, people that had money knew to never flaunt it carelessly. When it came to her, he felt the need to show off, to woo her and catch her eye, she had this sense of luxury, she looked like she took care of herself way too much to let men not treat her anything less than that.
He watched her face switch into surprise when the waiter came with the bottle of champagne, a few seconds after that her gaze went to him, as the waiter pointed towards him and then proceeded to open the bottle of bubbly.
She had noticed him when she entered for a few moments, although she decided that since it was her big night she wouldn’t waste time gawking at good looking men, she had saved money for months to be able to afford the finest for her big day, every year she wanted her birthday to be like the life she wanted. She send him a smile as her hand went to her heart to show gratitude for the gift.
Except that didn’t feel like enough, she felt like she could push it a bit more, try her luck just a bit, she looked too good to worry about a man turning her down, he would have to be mad or blind to do so.
She walked to him with the glass of champagne in her hand, giving him the chance to take her in. Her legs were exposed as the dress went to the middle of her thigs, they shined and looked so smooth making him wonder how good would it feel to touch them. She had a figure of a dream, as her hips swayed with every step, her posture was proud and she walked like a supermodel, if he didn’t know the owner he would have thought she was the one that had not just the restaurant, the entire block.
“I don’t think we’ve met, I’m (y/n), I wanted to thank you for the champagne, you really didn’t have to”
“I wanted to darling, I’m Christopher but people call me Rio, how wonderful to meet you”
He said, taking her delicate hand in his and pressing a light kiss on soft skin. He could smell the lotion of vanilla she had chosen to moisturize her skin, settle yet unforgettable. His raspy voice made her flustered, trying to mask it with a smirk and confidence, he was intriguing to her, the cool, calm and collected exterior that suited him so much.
“I wish I could stay and talk but I don’t like leaving my friends by themselves”
“I understand darling, we’ll be in touch”
-
It had been years since then, he had managed to not only stay in touch with you but make her the queen of his life. She was an asset that he so desperately needed, he trusted her with his life and knew she had the best intentions for him, her loyalty was iron made, her degree came in handy when he needed to handle business in a discreet manner, she was the master mind behind a lot of his negotiations, her brilliance on playing the trophy wife that didn’t know anything in front of others was the secret behind his success.
She is his secret weapon, so secret that no one knew she even existed, the few that did didn’t even know her name and the people that knew were the most trusted ones that worked with Rio for years, she liked to be under wraps, walking in and out of the building with the men Rio had hire to protect her and the rookies wondered who was she, he only called her with pet names when others were around but they could only address her as “Miss”, she was the miss of the mister and his most trusted soldier.
Despite that, (y/n) was no fool. She had broken up with Rio and called of the engagement several times, making Rio go wild every time. She wasn’t unreasonable, Rio was out of line a lot of the times, especially when Beth came in the picture, his men feared her just as much as him, maybe even more, so when she found out they had done such major damage multiple times but still took them back in, she would pack her stuff and leave without warning, leaving her ring and a note that wrote “goodbye” behind. That’s when he would hook up with Beth, make up for the loss of his queen, yet when he had manage to convince her to come back and buy her a new ring every time, he felt like he was on top of the world.
“Be honest with me Mick, who did this to him?”
“Everything points in one target, Beth”
“Of course. Thank you Mick, I got him”
She stood by him throughout his healing process, waited patiently until he was back on her feet, took care of his bullet wounds and had many sleepless nights to make sure he was alright. She was his wife to be after all, even kept in contact with Rhea and Marcus, made sure they were alright and taken care of in any way, shape or form.
“Are you ready mama?”
“Almost, can you help me with the necklace”
They were there when Rhea got the call from Beth, acting like there friends even though she caused Rios life and invited her for drinks. Rio knew (y/n) was boiling, wanted to take revenge for what Beth had caused and this time he understood, so they got dressed up to meet her instead of Rhea.
As Rio approached and took the necklace in his hands he saw it was the necklace he bought her for their one year anniversary, her birth stone surrounded with diamonds. When (y/n) let her hair down he got a whiff of her scent, still making him feel weak in the knees, he got closer to her and wrapped his one arm around her, his lips found the nape of her neck and left light kisses. She closed her eyes for a second to enjoy the feeling of warmth and lust he brought her.
“You look beautiful princess”
“It’s my first time meeting her isn’t it?”
“What have you planned gorgeous?”
“That’s for me to know and for her to find out, let’s go daddy”
She knew exactly who she was. Seeing the back of her head made her want to pull out her gun and blast her right then and there, that wouldn’t be classy now wouldn’t it? She approached the clueless woman and sat on her left side, leaving the right seat empty for Rio to join later.
“Can I get dirty martini please? Thank you dear”
She instructed the bartender before taking off the faux black fur coat to reveal a   Split Floor-Length Sleeveless Spaghetti Strap Pullover black dress. The first thing Beth noticed about the young woman that sat next to her was the big diamond ring that she wore on her ring finger, mentally thinking of what that girl had done to earn it
‘she probably hasn’t worked a day in her life’ she thought, making herself feel a little bit better, she had to admit that she looked really pretty, the jewelry she had on complimented her skin tone and the dress looked like it was custom made. (Y/n) waited for her drink to arrive before she looked at Beth and got ready to reveal her identity.
“You must be Beth, I don’t believe we’ve officially met. I’m (y/n)”
Beth looked at her puzzled. How did the young woman that looked like she was some old mans pretty young thing to show off knew her. (Y/n) was smiling as she took a sip of her cocktail, knowing damn well that Beth had already made up her mind about what type of woman (y/n) was and completely missing the purpose of this meeting.
“How do you know my name”
“Oh I know everything about you, where you live, the names of your children, your sister Annie and your friend Ruby. Rio has told me all about you”
“Rio? How-”
“I know he doesn’t talk about it, I like to be invisible to the public eye... his secret weapon as some would say. I also know you are waiting for Rhea”
“She ain’t comin”
Beth heard Rio’s voice and her eyes went wide with fear. (Y/n) let out a soft giggle and took one more sip of her drink as Beth turned to look at him like she had seen a ghost, judging by how pale she had gotten she was more of that vibe than he was.
“Excuse me, can we get a glass of neat whiskey for the gentleman? Thank you so much”
(Y/n) ordered once more before hoping off her chair and joining Rio. He snaked his arm around her and brought her as close to him as he could before placing a kiss on her cheek.
“How you feeling mama?”
“Oh I was just having a chat with Beth”
“A-are y-you”
“His fiancé? Yes, we are planning on getting married on my homeland during the summer, aren’t we daddy?”
(Y/n) started rubbing Rios back as she smiled at him, she was super excited for her wedding, he had given her complete control to do whatever she wanted, it was her big day and he knew better than to object to anything.
“Oh we have to show her something”
Rio reached for his pocket and (Y/n) looked over at Beth who was in the verge of a mental breakdown. Rio pulled out his three bullets that the doctor had pulled out from his body, (y/n) wanted to throw them away but he insisted in keeping them, reminding him how he cheated death.
“Lung, spline, shoulder”
He put each one down in front of her. Beth had terrible aim and for once (y/n) was thankful that one of their rookies missed the shots. Beth stayed silent, taking in all the information, not only was he alive he also had a woman he was planning to marry, calling him “daddy” right in her face, she looked like she was straight out of a magazine and even thought she was kind to her that terrified her more, her entire life was crumbling in front of her.
“Now I think you understand that you are in a bit of a jam, Christopher has agreed that I should decide your punishment since he wanted to kill you-”
“Don’t, do that. I’m sorry babydoll, she will learn”
Beth had tried to leave in the middle of (y/n)’s sentence, making Rio grab Beth by the arm and restrain her from doing so. (Y/n) stayed stoic and just watched the scene unravel, she knew Rio would never allow anyone to disrespect her. As Beth sat back down Rio smiled (y/n) before taking her hand once more and placing a kiss on her knuckles. (Y/n) reached for his face and caressed his cheek with her free hand making Beth sick to her stomach, he had never looked at her like that, with such admiration and love.
“It’s alright, I will let it pass this one time”
“Go on mama”
“I feel like it would be too easy to kill you, such an easy way out. So now you will work for me”
“What?”
Beth felt her stomach twist at the statement. Working with (y/n), having to do daily tasks for her, a woman she had no idea even existed an hour ago, now she had work under her and take orders from her directly, for a second she thought that death would be better. (Y/n) left Rio’s side for a second and took Beth by the shoulders, standing right behind her, Beth’s eyes fell on her shinny ring, that only felt like someone was rubbing salt over her wound, he had probably spend a fortune for it. (Y/n) leaned closer to Beth getting next to her ear and causing goosebumps on Beth’s body.
“Think of it as an assistant or maybe help Rio with anything he needs but mostly you will be on call for anything I need. Since you wanted to outsmart Rio and spit where you eat, I need some help to plan the wedding and also take care of our business. What do you think darling?”
“I think it’s an excellent idea”
Rio was pleasantly surprised. (Y/n) was one of the most intelligent people he knew, bring Beth so close to her and making her work for their wedding even though she knew she had slept with him was a very cruel and mentally humiliating way to punish her.
She truly was one of the greatest choices he had ever done, no one could compete with her, she held such power that made Rio feel like he could not only trust her but also submit to her, let her take the wheel and not having to worry about anything going wrong. As he watched her look over at Beth there was no comparison, (y/n) had such way of carrying herself, that je ne sais quoi as some would say, she was the embodiment of female divine energy.
Rio knew that her leaving him all these times was a game of push and pull, making him work for her and a mental slap in the face, yet every time he ran to her like an obedient dog and begged for her to come back and take her spot as his queen in the palace, promised her and gave her everything she wished for, every ring was bigger and better than the one before. It wasn’t like he did it because she wanted it, he was the one that wanted to spoil her, give her everything under the sun, she deserved everything and he was for sure not going to hold back for his sweet little princess.
“And then when all of that is done... Rio can take care of you, I feel like it would bring bad luck to our household if we killed someone before the wedding”

"Silver" Beautifly - YOU MAKE A GOOD POINT I bet that's definitely what DREW would call it, given how impressed he is with it. I have two objections though: What would she have called it before it evolved into a Beautifly? And, this one is petty, one of the other characters I'm fixated on right now is ALSO named Silver and that could get confusing XD
REGARDLESS I WOULD KEEP THIS AS A NAME DREW WOULD CALL IT
"Blaze" Blaziken - Simple and to the point. I feel like this one is a good name for the same reasons that Torchic is a good starter for her, she herself is full of rage and vigor so her and the Fire/Fighting Pokemon synergize well.
Though, hilariously, that would mean she'd have "Silver and Blaze" on her team…… which is also the name of two Sonic characters that are friends XD THIS IS NOT A DOWNSIDE, JUST FUNNY.
I might start looking for a name that's similar to "Blaze" but is less specific so it also works with Combusken.
Edit: Maybe Hearth? No that sounds too smart and sophisticated for her. Maybe Inferno? No too intense. Firestorm. Now that's a good one. It's both incredibly simple and similar in meaning to Blaze.
"Vee" Eevee - lol I wonder how many Eevees would have this name. I think I would have to rewatch the episodes to decide a good name for this one, I imagine her names are very personality based? Like, her names are very simple but they're still based off of traits. I'm thinking something to do with "Potential", but not something that would sound immediately outdated once evolved
"Chomper" Munchlax - SIMPLE TO THE POINT YET VERY ACCURATE AND PERSONALITY BASED I'm definitely keeping this one
"Kitty" Skitty - And then people would make fun of her for her lazy naming and she would get so mad at them lol that would be hilarious. "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY ABOUT MY KITTY'S NAME!?!?!?" hehehe
"Bloom" Venusaur - That's a good point, I might also propose "Blossom" as it's very similar and is a name I've seen more people use. Something something it has a Bulbasaur blossoming into its own person when it decided to go with her
"Bubbles" Wartortle - You're completely right. She would pick basic bitch names and then get so defensive if anyone said they were dumb. Bubbles is perfect for this guy
— drew —
I actually think he would give them nicknames, but they be very elitist nicknames in a way. Like, he would put so much effort into them. Every name would have three meanings. He thinks he's so smart. His Pokemon deserve the best.
"Midnight" Absol - I think you're definitely on the right track here, I think it's name would definitely be based around its backstory and how he got it and he did get it during night time. Also the whole idea of midnight being an ominous hour. I think it probably would have a little more finesse given drew, so I'll brainstorm it.
Edit: Something like "Howl"? I'm not sure if I want to go with that specifically, but I do like how he met it in the fanfic and howling is ominous + Howl is a real name that creates intrigue
"Breeze" Butterfree - I've always liked the idea (even before the fanfic included it) that Solidad gave Drew this Butterfree, and Breeze definitely sounds like a name she would pick. STAYING WITH THIS ONE
"Emerald" Flygon - I actually think this name works really well, it is very true that it is green, but also in emerald is a precious gem and he's using this thing for contests. It's also a Pokemon he put a lot of work into raising behind the scenes, so precious and rare like a gemstone.
Edit: Emerald is a great name, but what about Ruby? He got it specifically for his fight with May, she has associations with the color red, and it keeps all of the same benefits as the name Emerald would. Flygon even have red parts on them!
"Skyler" Masquerain - THIS ONE JUST SOUNDS RIGHT TO ME having them both have pokemon that are named the same thing would be hilarious though
"Rosa" Roserade - I WAS SO INTIMIDATED TRYING TO NAME THIS ONE AND THEN YOU JUST GOT IT COMPLETELY RIGHT FIRST TIME round of applause here. I didn't want to change it too much because "Let's go, Roselia" and other takes are so good like it just rolls off the tongue perfectly for him YOU DID IT YOU GOT THE PERFECT NAME
So right now we have
May's team:
"Firestorm" the Blaziken
"Chomper" the Munchlax
"Kitty" the Skitty
"Blossom" the Venusaur
"Bubbles" the Wartortle
Drew's team:
"Rosa" the Roserade
"Skyler" the Masquerain
"Ruby" the Flygon
"Howl" the Absol
"Breeze" the Butterfree
and then I'm not settled on Beautifly or Eevee. THANK YOU SO MUCH THOUGH I WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN ANYWHERE NEAR HERE WITHOUT U 💞💞💞
In the Pokémon anime the characters don't give their Pokémon nicknames, because that makes it easier for the audience to remember the name of the species,
HOWEVER
if May and Drew did name their Pokémon, what do you think they'd name them?
