Looks to the Moon!! in hunter's campaign whoops. they will die in 30 ish cycles,, maybe 28.

(i dont think ive said yet but its a headcanon of mine that scugs dont have gender, not like we do. so. they them for every scug. iterators however get that sweet sweet Gender and also neopronouns)

anyway yeah the Hearth is the Hunter campaign, or hard mode, of Little Gods and Passing Beasts rw au. even worse actually, as Hearth has Monks shit spear throws in addition to the 'everything hates you, specifically' of Hunter's campaign. on the bright side the food pip requirement looks more like Survivor's. also, theres a lotta vultures. a Very Big difference in Hearths campaign to Hunter's though is that the cycle limit is a hard limit. apparently in Hunter you can go below 0 cycles? i didnt know that. but thats not a thing with Hearth, you do all the everything in 29 cycles then permadie. cope the intro of Hearth actually places them close to RS, like how Hunter is placed in farm arrays not outskirts. if you successfully backtrack into RS she will give you five extra cycles like 5pebs does, but the trip might not actually be all that worth it cause i imagine Hearth starts juuust far enough that if you arent quick about it the five cycles you get will be negated as by the time you get back to where you started five cycles have already passed. maybe more. and thered be enemies in the way thatd kill you dead. anyway

the Hearths former slugcat colony is close by, right outside RSs retaining wall. some time before Hearths campaign, their little sibling had a hunt gone wrong. no scug died, but many were injured - the worst being Hearth themself - and the blame was put on their little sibling due to the unnecessary risks taken by them. they were exiled while Hearth was healing, unable to speak up in their defense. after Hearth deemed themself healed enough they left the colony in search of their little sibling. they didnt succeed, couldnt find them. time is running out. while exploring the area, Hearth managed to get into Rushing Streams's can. after receiving the Mark of Communication they were asked by a frantic, frazzled, so very regretful god to deliver a golden pearl to iterator Explosive Redamancy, who is nearby and will have the medical facilities that RS does not, and should be able to heal Hearth even in her disrepaired, fallen state. the Hearth suspects that an apology lies in the pearl, and suspects that ER will not be able to heal them. nonetheless, it was by kindness they earned their name, and it is kindness that defines them, and so with their remaining cycles they will deliver the pearl and expect nothing in return. it is only right. maybe, just maybe, if they are quick enough they can make it to the void sea they were told about, and wait for their little sibling there, at the end of everything

Welcome to the official ask blog for my (@angstmachine-rw) Disconnected AU!

I recommend that you read the accompanying fic first, as it provides some context for the story up to this point. This blog will be "serialized", meaning that the story will continue to play out as time goes on. Updates to the fic on AO3 will also continue, though for a time I will probably be doing some things with the focus, giving some unintroduced characters some time to shine.

The Current Story:

Looks to the Moon is living with a group of scavengers led by the chieftain Dark Spines Along Back. Artificer (known as Firemaker by the scavengers) is also there, having pushed their beef to the side after an altercation with Spines. The messengers that brought her back to life, Rivulet (aka Ruffles), Hunter (aka Spitfire), and Spearmaster have just left for Five Pebbles' can to get life-saving medicine for Spitfire and get Spearmaster's chest pearl removed.

Meanwhile, at the base of a spire in the nearby expanse, Gourmand's colony has to contend with Renegade*, a highly stubborn and dangerous god-machine of legend who harnesses electricity as a lethal weapon. She had gotten into a scrap with scouts of the colony which left a handful of slugcats and herself injured. Despite the altercation, Gourmand allows her to stay as long as she needs to in order to recover, pushing her gently to go to Looks to the Moon's domain. The two god-machines seem like they can help each other, after all...

i talk about cops through a movie for babies lens here because this is primarily a sonic blog and the discourse around the cops in the sonic movies specifically are what is relevant to this blog - it doesn't encompass my entire online or real life talk about police. i agree that talking about this just through the lens of baby movies isn't the most productive or respectful mode of speaking on this subject, especially as white person. i try to be even-handed and not limit these conversations to just cartoon hedgehogs, but it seems i've failed on some level or another to do that

i do engage in many more "real world" topics on my main blog without the fandom lens/framing (@taptrial2), but this blog has more followers than my main by a significant margin, so i can't expect you or anyone else to look at entirely seperate blogs when conversations are usually contained here

your experience with police and discrimination is something that i will never know the true depths of as a white person. i know people in this circle of tumblr specifically who have been victims of abuse from family members in the police, which is one of the many reasons i try to be vocal about this issue in particular

i personally don't believe that talking about cops in movies is unnecessary or irrelevant to the way film affects on the real world, however i most likely do have a lot of blind spots and i will admit i am not the best person to speak on this subject. i'm sorry that you don't feel comfortable in the sonic community on tumblr because of stuff like this and i apologize for overstepping.

dolochov would, of course, take on the role of gourmand. in a world where fousek, niče, and dolochov coexisted at the same time, dolochov was monk (fousek survivor, niče hunter), due to her kind nature. shes very cuddly and such... but shes also very strong! i call her dumb a lot, and, she is, but if someone knew how to craft a neuron, it'd be her.

only arthur and fousek left now. arthur, i think, could take on the role of rivulet. hes SO chatty. when he was in the tub i turned the water on and didnt even care. tho i call him dumb also, and he is, hes actually very smart! hes not afraid to get a bit violent, too. he's kind also, so i think he'd help moon..

ends up in rw/by fandom territory just because i saw the new v9 trailer and almost immediately comes across one of those incredibly cold takes where they basically just drink the show's poorly thought out koolaid about how terrible oz/pin supposedly is while also personally upholding sa/lem as their idea of a character who supposedly has the correct ideology and is just going about it wrong. like. i don't know how to explain to you that literally oz/pin's situation may as well ALSO be a curse and that he also can't really in good conscience just step back and let other people worry about all this while he's literally stuck in his endless bullshit divine errand with no good way out because some being that thinks it knows better just suddenly went against its own word about not reviving people to foist it upon him. literally nobody in his situation would really be doing much better imo. humans are fundamentally not mentally equipped or designed to be in his situation or mode of existence. and he full well knows that. its just. what else is he supposed to do??? like i will go so far as to agree that sa/lem is also in an unfair situation and that ultimately the gods are the truest bastards of the whole situation. but by god the excess unnecessary charity towards her at oz/pin's expense just does not sit right with me.

STRENGTH SOCIAL LINK: GET. I have zero opinion on these guys yet, I've known them for like 10 minutes. I have a scene with them later that's basically them asking if I like urban areas or rural more, so like. We're not dealing with a lot of depth yet.

Koromaru was Strength in P3P and was actually a very good one. Strength is infamously not about physical strength but emotional, particularly controlling the danger around you with personal fortitude. The de rigueur Strength symbolism is a woman and a lion with her calmly holding the lion in place, sometimes her hands on its mouth to prevent its attack.

Koromaru's S-Link was all about helping Koromaru act as the guardian of Iwatodai and particularly the area about the Naganaki Shrine, often assisting people who needed help. He's also very good at de-escalating situations. A very good boy and a very good Strength card.

So what we're looking for with the jocks here is an arc of emotional control and standing near something dangerous without flinching.

If you are expecting insight on the Aeon, I cannot help you. It's definitely not a standard card in RWS, and I think is an artefact of the Thoth deck.

Lemme google the card and just look at it.

Whoa wait. So Persona is playing fast and loose with the Arcana. Thoth is supposed to replace Strength with Lust and Justice to Adjustment. Aeon is supposed to replace Judgement, but P3P had Judgement. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW IF P4 DOES THE SAME, but I'm not googling that, it sounds like Hella Spoilers.

Anyway. Aeon. Has a lot of the same heralds as the penultimate step of the Fool's Journey, but while Judgement is often about An Event, the biblical shit of the trumpets and angels descending, all that shit, Aeon is a much more person climax, the cracking of the egg and the burst of new consciousness. The dark archway over the Aeon is Nuit, Nyx, the night. There's spiritual symbols in it, so it's sort of like a synthesis of the trials of Star-Moon-Sun. It's a bit reductive, maybe, but as someone who isn't a huge fan of Judgement because it's just really tied to Revelations christianity shit, Aeon is interesting.

Since I'm aware that Aigis basically takes over as MC if you play The Answer in P3P, the Aeon suits her astonishingly well, as her journey is a culmination that mimicks the MC's.

So, Marie is the Aeon, currently stuck in the blue velvet darkness of the liminal limo and due to come out into the light to synthesize the spiritual madness of the Moon with the hope of the Star and the clear vision of the Sun.

Maybe. I say this having not really known wtf Aeon was ten minutes ago.

RIGHT, saving Yukiko. I headed back into the TV on 4/21 and powered through some floors. Compared to Tartarus, this is easy-peasy.

Shadow Yukiko strikes me as very.... lazy. She was born into a destiny she doesn't want, but is also completely unwilling to push back against it. She's submissive to the desires of her family and the needs of the Amagi Inn, but under the surface is festering with frustration she won't voice.

I truly genuinely wonder if her family even has an inkling she's so unwilling to take on ownership of the inn, or if she's never told them. Like, I have no idea. Not that I think saying so would get her out of it, but it's sure Something to just... grow this dense ball of resentment in yourself without even cluing people in.

ANYWAY Chie is her prince. Yukiko wouldn't make a terrible Rose Bride, lmao.

Well. Given how Chie introduced Yukiko to Reverie and talks about her, I'm not sure Chie knows that Yukiko hates her destiny either. lmao girl you gotta fucking communicate like any of this at all to anyone.

Well, this one is less exciting. A powerful bird in an opulent cage with an open door and the lock clearly visible and undone. Yukiko, I would hazard, really enjoys being special, being essentially a noble of the town.

And she may have the power and opportunity to fly away from her cage, but beyond its light is a big unknown. It might not be as comfy. So, she wants the perks of being someone important but lashes out against the expectations that come with it.

I started to die in this fight and purposefully ate shit to get it over with faster so I could try again, but the game was like "want to retry?" and I was like "oh man what a nice QOL feature, yeah retry!" and it REVIVED EVERYONE TO MAX HP/SP BUT SHADOW YUKIKO WAS STILL AT LIKE 15% HP. which is.... not what I wanted. that's super weird, I just wanted a do-over.)

It sounds like it could be from the Tarot de Marseille, but I've never seen it before. (TdM was more game-y than other styles, similar to Lenormand, so you can more easily "play" it.)

ALRIGHT HERE WE GO INTO THE OC EXPLAINY ZONE YOU CAN ASK THEM ANYTHING TOO IN THE ASKS BOX

My first OC is 6 golden stars.

6 Golden Stars was an iterator who woke up in the 1st waking period of dry world. He adored scavs, took their RW DNA and placed them on dry world, got convinced that the oldest iterator (who was given the title "Head Iterator" by the ancients), Sunset Dunes (not my OC!) was hiding information from the iterator populace and sent an announcement where he was....

...sort of bullied in private....

Then started stealing void fluid to use for his tests because Dry World has none or its a very small amount deep down in the core. Void fluid is in wells near/on every iterator can. He did this with the Inspector Class units.

The investigator was an air attack unit, used for dropping charged siphoner/examiner eyes. Siphoners were used for stealing void fluid. Examiners were used for ground attack/defence.

Sifters were used to repair the holes Metal Eating Batflies (SD made) in his superstructure. This plan failed.

Observers were floating signs to tell you to fuck off.

Scrutinizor missiles were missiles launched by a turret on the can.

Now, the metal eating batflies were painful, so he attacks SD, collapsing/melting his superstructure with the Examiners Teslas. (he still survives). As he looses his forces, 6GS wants to make a weapon that would win the war. Right as he is about to make it, one of his legs collapses and that disrupts the effort, breaking it free.

(incase you are wondering why he can see the private messages, him collapsing made the system not recognize him as him for a second.)

The weapon was (god here we go) MIND CONTROL ROT. Its purpose was to keep SD and his buddies neutralised, but 6GS collapsed and set it free, mind controling HIM instead.

So everyone thinks 6GS is dead until he makes gibberish broadcasts to lure curious people in so their overseers can get rotted so then they can get rotted, because the rot wants to kill people.

Here comes Snow Reaches Soft Meadows (GOD THIS IMAGE IS SHIT HOW DID I MANAGE TO DRAW HIM SO BAD??????) (ONLY REFERENCE PICTURE OF OLD SNOW :sob:)

Snow was an iterator who wanted to explore 6GS dead corpse. Surprise surprise, he gets rotted, and now the rot has a host with a working factory.

Some time passes and an iterator by the name of Helix HNA (not my OC) makes a hypertumor to kill the rot. They are cured with some scars, 6GS is in shame, and quickly logs off the comms, while having occasional "seizures" where he thinks he is back in the rot again and immense pain and stuff. 6 golden stars is suffering, and thinks he deserved his collapse, so he wants noone to repair him.

Snow, on the other hand, continues on his work...

he has administrator status now.

Something i forgot to tell you: SRSM really liked spying, and keeping his ancient colony in check. He spied on them and crushed rebellions. One time, during the RW/DW indepedence war, he got to lead an entire faction and did horrible things.

He has that power back now.

As you would expect, he has gone full censory informationary 1984 mode.

He gives himself a new, upgraded puppet.

After some time, 6GS keeps speaking out and SRSM is very tired about that.

He factory resets him.

He fixes his can, gives him new clothes, new eyes, a backdoor that allows SRSM to survay him at all times and take control of him sometimes, and a wiped memory.

Under threat of losing his weekly meeting space, surly substance abuse counselor Sam Loudermilk (Ron Livingston) must try to make a connection with a young addict.

I first thought the flatmate was gonna be the ghost of an old friend, not really there. But multiple people interacted with him so that's out. He was a stereotypical asshole that will hopefully become more well-rounded as we watch. (sister recommended)

Eureka (rw) 2x13 A Night in Global Dynamics (s2 Finale)

A flesh eating virus has infected Global Dynamics, and the building goes into a security protocol that endangers everyone's lives.

I didn't remember Henry being evil but was still relieved that he wasn't helping Beverly and was using her to protect Kevin. Carter and Stark being reluctant besties was sweet. And ofc Jo saved the day because for a town full of geniuses, very few of them have any common sense lol.

12 - Fandom you’ve drawn the most for?

god it’s gotta be rain world huh? i mean it’s still mostly oc stuff that i draw and i’ve only doodled the canon characters like once (i do love them very very much tho 💖 it’s just hard to generate ideas about characters i don’t know). Runner up is probably hollow knight? again, also mostly ocs, and like half of it was your ocs sggsgdhhdhhd <3

17 - Favourite oc/sona drawing?

this is probably also that group pic with rw ocs or Lun’s duel (both cool lineless scenes that i think turned out rlly well with some fave ocs) but to pick something different, i really really like Raster’s ghost design :]

I used one flat colour and used opacity to create the illusion of tones, and then did some funky layer mode stuff on top and im so pleased with the result !!!

24 - What do you like most about your art style?

Ohhh this is a hard question? I mean i like my art style i have a lot of fun with it but i’m trying to find a thing that, when i look back on art i drew, makes me go “that. that thing i do really good. proud of that one thing”

y’know what actually, it’s probably my character designs! I have been told time and time again that i make really fuckin complex designs and it’s true sgbshbdbdhd but i love them <3 ! Especially happy with the human chars i’ve been designing recently, i think i’ve done pretty good at avoiding sameface issues! People were a struggle for a long time because i was an animal artist first but i’m now at the point where i can really have fun drawing them!

most of the human characters i’ve designed this year (+ adam, the dude with porcelain skin, who i didn’t design but really enjoy the art i did; & cori who had a mostly complete design already when i was asked to draw them. and also i designed cress prior to 2021 i think but didnt like the art enough and redid it), from approximately newest to oldest:

Also my most recent lineart style im very happy with, which you can see in two or three of these pictures with the chalky lines? Same brush i use for lineless and usually for colouring. I have newer examples but can’t post them yet, they are secret santa gifts that are still secret

Pop Culture Commentary

Thank you all for your contributions this week! I’m really proud with the way that people took from a variety of shows, books, movies and video games. Fun contests like this are interesting because I gotta let my guard down and not take things so seriously.

With that in mind, here we go!

@ace-hobo​ — Rouse the Oathbreakers

Great rare tribal card. I like how it’s fairly low-cost and is a flavor win plus a really fun niche tribal build-around. When you’re reanimating, use “return,” see Angel of Glory’s Rise. Additionally, if you’re using MSE, shift+enter will allow you to put the attribution underneath the quote.

@cas-420 — Left for Dead

As a spell by itself, I like how powerful it is. However, I’m not sure I understand the name as it relates to the card; I know you wanted a connection with the game, but I feel that the connection is tentative. “Last Stand” or something would have been more appropriate. I don’t think you need “All” in that second ability, and you can just steal Angel’s Grace wording for the other part. Fun Orzhov card!

@dabudder​ — The Heart of Etheria

I love this card. It tells a story about legendary creatures, it tells a story about sacrifice, and it’s, no pun intended, heartbreaking. “Heart” in “Heart counters” doesn’t need to be capitalized, but “return” does. I feel that for storytelling it could also work better if the trigger happened at the beginning of your end step.

@dimestoretajic​ — Shepard’s Charm

This is a weird build-around-me. I think that despite the gameplay being a little weird to say the least, you use colorless mana effectively to show artifacts as machines of their own in this world. You were right about missing “token.” It happens, no biggie. I have the feeling that running multiple copies of this is a bit much, considering the strength of “gain control of all permanents” that would eventually happen. Oh, God, copying this...

@donutwraith — Unorthodox Summon

I’m afraid without context, I don’t understand this card at all. What is “sem?” What clearance? Also, why “Gentle Giant?” I know it makes sense flavorfully, perhaps, but it’s weird as an actual card type. Zero mana flash enchantments are... Dangerous, mechanically. I can’t think of any ways that it would be broken off the top of my head, but I can think of several players who’d be chomping at the bit to play it.

@emmypupcake — Louisoix’s Final Sealing

Great flavor. Cool moment. Very overcosted. Six mana for a narrow removal spell like this... Well, I’d rather run a board-wipe or simply a two-mana card that does the exact same thing. For such a high cost and with the legendary restriction, in the future consider other cards and their impact that they have for that mana, then see what other powerful effect you could add.

@fractured-infinity​ — Preservation // Ruin // Harmony

Are these the names of actual characters and events in the book? Not sure how to feel about that. I like how Harmony can be “destroyed” by your opponents chipping away at their own resources. Watch out for run-on sentences in “Ruin” with that first ability. Without the book context, I think the names are kinda banal, but that’s just me being a pretentious douche canoe. I’m sure that the books make them more effective.

Genex-P — Soylent Green is People

Great flavor connection! Remember that the quote attribution needs to go on a different line, and that when making Food tokens they have reminder text instead of rules text, see Bake into a Pie. Also, remember, a COMMA after the G, and exile a human CARD. Gotta be specific about these things!

@ghost31415926535 — Siege of the White Lotus

Really interesting enchantment! I love how it rewards multicolor strategies and turns all your stuff into the Avatar in their own special way. Flavorfully, it’s been a while since I’ve watched AtlA but there are other people who can tell me whether or not this checks out. I’m a fan of the card in general. Just remember proper capitalization and punctuation. There may be an easier way of wording this all too, but I like how it reads.

@gollumni​ — Imperfect Clone

Darnit, Brian. Bryan? Whatevers. I love this flavor, especially in context. I’m thinking of different ways to word it. “Until end of turn, target creature you control has the same base power and toughness as target creature you don’t control.” IDK, this card’s fun.

@greensunzenith​ — The Culling of Straholme

I love this card, and the only thing that bugs me, the ONLY thing, is that I didn’t know if that first ability “works.” Aether Storm shows that it does, and I should have done more research. Call this one an honorary runner-up. It tells a fantastic story about the option of destruction followed by the inevitable turning. Man, yeah, whoever’s reading this, this card’s getting added to the runner’s up. It was a really tough series of choices this week.

@haru-n-harkel​ — Passing of the Matrix

What an interesting card! I’m not sure what the Matrix is, but this card lets me show that it’s a mark of leadership, that it makes a creature legendary flavorfully, and that it’s not resigned to one generation. Not bad! You don’t need “target” in the first line, and don’t forget that when you do a quote, the name goes on a separate line.

@hypexion​ — The Turning

Pretty sure there should be an emdash between 8 and WW, but I forget. Anyway, funky little card you got here. I’m not sure why it doesn’t have a mana cost flavorfully, but I get how it works mechanically. Good on you for the wording of the activated ability. I’m not sure how something “turning” begets the flavor of destruction, though? Also, yadda yadda quoter second line, you’ve heard me say it thrice up there.

@ignorantturtlegaming​ — Yoshi’s Adventure

Well if this ain’t a flavor win if I ever saw one! Dinos, eggs, and humans. Really funky stuff. Three wording things. One: The second ability should be something more like “Whenever a Human you control dies, sacrifice ~.” Two: You don’t need to “Sacrifice an Egg you control,” just “Sacrifice an Egg.” Three: It should be “”This creature deals 2 damage to any target.”” instead of just “deal.” Other than that, great first submission.

@illharg-the-rave-boar​ — Shutdown

Ah, sci-fi. One day we’ll get there in Magic. Anyway, this card! I think that you could have stapled the “End the turn” line to the previous one, but aside from that, I think this card is super cool, a good mythic for this day and age. Pretty fun in a midrange-control build. I know nothing about the game, but I like the feeling of a forced shutdown that you present. Probably the best example of the genre we could ask for.

@juggernaut-is-a-metalhead — Blood and Thunder

This is a weird heckin’ card. The name and flavor text feel really disconnected from the abilities, though, which is a shame because mechanically this is an insane card that could be very fun in the right deck. The flavor the abilities present of “the world is breaking around me but with enough power I turn into a leviathan” is really awesome.

@kavinika​ — Sadeas’s Betrayal

Let’s look at the card Sudden Disappearance. With that, I believe this spell could read “Exile all creatures you control.  Return the exiled cards to the battlefield under their owner's control at the beginning of the next end step. Then, destroy all creatures attacking a player or permanent other than you.” You don’t necessarily need the combat clause, but I understand how it could be useful to prevent just blinking. Maybe if it destroyed any number of target  attacking creatures?

@koth-of-the-hammerpants — Holistic Assassination

9/10, but 1. Enchantments don’t tap, and 2. This feels like it would be very easy to abuse without a higher cost for returning it. Flavor’s interesting, card plays great, it’s a pain in the butt. Very fun.

@mistershinyobject​ — Zulf’s Fate

Once again, you return creature cards from the graveyard to the battlefield. Wording aside, I really like the dichotomy of this card. It’s a gristly fate that you presented quite well. There’s not a lot to say because the card speaks for itself, and that’s a strength.

@misterstingyjack​ — Shared Demise

I don’t really like the wording on this, as interesting as the concept is. I feel like it’s a bit much for one chunk of text. Maybe “fate counters” could work here? Like, when ~ enters the battlefield, put a fate counter on target creature, whenever a creature with a fate counter leaves the battlefield sacrifice enchanted creature, and when enchanted creature leaves the battlefield the fate counter creatures are sacrificed? I hope that makes sense. It’s hard to feel “clean” with the wording you have here.

@nine-effing-hells​ — Hydraulic Salvation

Neat little name! I don’t think you need to add “if you do” to that second mode. And on a card like this, I wouldn’t add the flavor text. I really don’t think it’s strong enough to add anything to this card. Flavorful use of Miracle, though.

@piecesofliquid — Tragic Reunion

This is a really cool card. Wording seems a little off, but you used flavor effectively to bring back two dueling characters. “You and target opponent each return up to one creature card from your graveyards to the battlefield. Those creatures gain vigilance, haste, and “etc.”” Great use of dual flavor text, even though I can’t quite tell who’s saying what. I don’t watch the show, thpt.

@shakeszx — I Am Iron Man

I really like how we got two Iron Man submissions next to each other, lol. Two things: It should be “tap an UNTAPPED non-Legendary creature you control,” and you need a shuffle clause at the end of the whole thing. Great idea, funky flavor. Feels more like citizens summoning a legend, but I like the notion anyway. It’s very marvel. Could be RW.

@shootingstarhunter​ — Inevitable Ultimatum

Having watched the movie, this card would have made more sense if it was an additional cost to sacrifice the legendary creature and it just destroyed all nonland permanents you didn’t control. Also, the flavor text should be in quotes. Aside from that, I really love this card. It’s an ultimatum that feels like an ultimatum. It’s appropriately costed and at the right rarity. So there we go!

@snugz​ — Good King Moggle Mog XII

What a name. This is a frustrating and flavorfully annoying boss card that I can imagine an AI playing as kind of an Arena boss fight. Fourteen power for eight mana is... Well, it’s not the craziest thing Magic’s done in the past, but the fact that it repeats, man. 10/10 for cute and game capture feel.

@sorustyitshines — The World Eater’s Ascent

I get that it’s an epic card, but “can’t be countered” isn’t really in the BW pie. Regardless, it’s a powerful boardwipe that, uh, doesn’t destroy enchantments for some reason? Not sure why, maybe it’s an in-game thing. Anyway, fine Commander card, good Evil Rise kinda thing. Overall interesting, but not my favorite in terms of execution.

@starch255​ — Enter Star Wolf

“For each of them, create a token that’s a copy of that card, except...” I think is the right wording. At least that’s how I grok it. Funky little card! I love how you used black Vehicles to create the evil spaceship feel. It’s a good sci-fi trope to have vehicles. The “four” is also a nice touch.

@teaxch​ — Claudius’s Plan

Now ain’t this tragic. Interesting card! I like how it only lasts for a turn, giving your opponent one turn to have the deathtouch brigade. Not sure exactly how a poisoned chalice gives EVERYTHING deathtouch, but what the hell, it’s Shakespearian, everything’s tragic, right? I think this card is pretty cool, would make limited fun.

@thegreateyebrows​ — Khert Fire

Hm, that might have to be a replacement ability. “If a spell or ability would target a permanent or player, that spell targets a permanent or player chosen at random instead.” “Whenever a player casts a spell, if that spell has no target, Khert Fire deals 2 damage to that player.” It doesn’t really need vanishing. If there are any rules people out there, tell me if my wording is off.

@tmstage​ — Cage the Traveler

This probably should be a rare for how niche the hate is, like Blood Moon, but the ability certainly feels mythic. I like this card a lot. I’ve never played destiny, but this card gives me stakes. There’s a “traveler,” akin to a planeswalker, and there’s something sapping them of their power, a primary antagonist with a goal and a mysterious identity. Bam, established. Not a bad job.
