In a merged world of Remnant and Earth-16, Icicle Jr managed to regained memories of a previous reality. While he overheard about a serum capable of mutating living beings, like the creatures of Grimm, he planned to steal some of the serum to impress his father, Icicle Sr. But on the way to S.T.A.R Labs, he ran into Emerald Sustrai, who apparently got there first to steal the serum.

He fought her to get the serum, but due to Emerald's intelligence and skill of combat, Icicle began to have a crush on the thief and offers to become her partner in crime. Only to be shut down when Emerald rejected him. And saw Mercury meeting up with Emerald. Jealous of Mercury, Icicle Jr. teams up with the two in order to impress Emerald.
