megan thee stallion is the perfect example of unbothered energy. nicki has repeatedly vagueposted about her, gone on unhinged rants about her, gone so far as to mention her dead mother (such a classless low blow), threatened her on live, and has now released the tackiest diss track in history. and what has megan done? literally nothing. she straight up ignored her, aside from that one ig story where she posted herself laughing (which was perfect btw). she is the epitome of “i will not dignify that w a response.” i love it.

this new era/comeback feels very much like dan is trying to rebuild his relationship with content creation and fandom. this isn’t like a new revelation but i’m thinking ab it so walk with me

dan has mentioned how hard it is for him to post on his own because he tends to take things too seriously or want them to be perfect. but i think that during his hiatus and having his little serious tour and his little fake talk show, it was A Lot and it was really good, just a lot on him. I think he’s been able to find the joy of making calm casual content rather than something huge and amazing. i think it’s allotted him the opportunity to interact with his fans more too in a way that he’s never really gotten to— between being in the closet and trying not to reveal to much about himself and his attempt at making perfect or profound content. now he’s out, he can talk about his real life and connect with the audience through that but also it makes being silly and casual SO much easier. there’s nothing to hide, so we don’t need to be as a serious anymore.

but even in finally finding the enjoyment in this chill content, he is able to express himself creatively through this tour. it’s a huge project that both dan and phil are majorly excited about, and i think it’s because of this new relationship they’ve formed with us and their careers. they’re not (for lack of better term) afraid of us anymore, they’re excited to tell us their secrets that they couldn’t before and confront our dumb conspiracies. i feel like the new era is built around comfort and love and it’s really nice to see that they feel that way with us, but also that they can feel it for themselves and within their lives. it’s just nice.
