He just wants to be heard, no sympathy necessary, no fawning over the way he sheds the skin he used to wear when he felt like happiness was millions of miles away. He just wants to be listened to. To Saeyoung, it’s the ultimate show of trust to admit to all the things he regrets, let them spill out like word vomit and not have to worry about the consequences. He doesn’t need you to understand, and knows you likely can’t given the specifics of his life’s course thus far, but knowing that you’re keen on carrying the burden with him is such an insurmountable feeling of relief. this is entirely self indulgent LMAO but here's how the characters would be @ the eras tour.

zen would love the concert. while he may not listen to all of her music, he very much enjoyed the entire set and especially loved how happy you were to be there. probably wouldn't join in on any of the chants or trade any bracelets, but instead looks at you with a smile every time you do. definitely takes a lot of pictures of you, and taylor, and then the both of you because your matching outfits are just the cutest. his favorite era would either be lover-- he can't help but look at you throughout the entirety of lover-- or 1989, because the visuals and the sound just completely enrapture him.

yoosung would just be happy to be there! knows her earlier stuff, but doesn't really know anything beyond 1989. goes feral over the fearless era, and screams almost as loud as you along to love story. if there's a proposal at your concert, you can bet he'd be crying while witnessing it-- and also a little jealous that he didn't think of the same idea. poor boy almost dies during vigilante shit-- his face is redder than a tomato and he chokes on his spit as he tries to look anywhere but the stage. you take many photos of this.

saeran absolutely refuses to go with you at first. attending a three and a half hour concert with thousands of people attending sounds like his own personal hell, but when you go to ask saeyoung to accompany you, saeran finally relents. "fine!" he'll grumble, "no need to ask my idiot brother. i'll go with you." you...hadn't suggested that to make him change his mind, but. a win is a win! he doesn't do any of the chants or any of the bracelets, and doesn't dress up. (or, at least, he doesn't wear anything he wouldn't usually wear, but. it's looks pretty reputation era, so you're happy.) despite his grumbling and his anxiety, saeran really did love seeing you so happy and carefree. is surprised by how much he enjoyed the reputation era, and ignores your smug look as he adds the songs to his playlist later on. refuses to take any pictures or videos, and will only be in a few for you.

A/N: the amount of pain and angst this man specifically has gone through is unbearable, out of all of the RFA members him and seven had it worst (my opinion). Anyways some happy hc because i think he deserves to be happy

After everything was resolved between Saeran and Saeyoung (which mind you took a while) the three of you decided to move and leave behind Saeyoung’s bunker, a place you had called home for the last six months

the reason for this choice was quite simple; a reminder of what was.

the twins didn’t need a reminder of everything that had happened over the course of time anymore than they needed the unpleasant memories. So they left.

The house which saeran and you moved to is a beautiful cottage, with a small farm attached. Saeran spends most of his days attending to the livestock and garden he grows, don’t worry though he definitely doesn’t neglect you (whether saeyoung came or not is up to you)

Saeran spends his days down in the dirt, very literally. As he’s all hands and knees and very much determined the best plants are grown from intense love and care

other than gardening and farming Saeran’s other past times are reading. He doesn’t have a particularly favourite genre but loves a good book with a happy ending. He reads all the books he can possibly get his hands on, very much including children books and fantasy novels. He was deprived of imagination when he was small so now he allows himself to indulge in it as he’s free to do

Saeran spends as much time with Saeyoung as he does his garden. This is mostly because Saeyoung is always around helping out on the farm, trying after years of being seperated to bond with his brother. Saeran deeply appreciates Saeyoung doing this as he knows being outside is something out of a comfort zone for Saeyoung (with unpleasant memories still always fresh Saeyoung feels safest behind a desk and screen).

Saeran is actually afraid of the dark so hopefully you don’t mind but he keeps a little nightlight by his bed side, it’s actually a cat and can change all sort of colours. It was invented by Saeyoung no doubt. Saeran treasures it with his whole heart.

Everytime you and Saeran go shopping he always collects a little toy, his inner child never had so much as a teddy bear so when he sees something he likes he gets it. Of course he asks you if he even should or if that’s silly, but naturally you insist that it’ll help heal his inner child.

Everytime Saeran sees you he gives you a kiss. On the forehead, cheek, neck, shoulder or lips it really doesn’t matter. He feels like giving you a kiss each time you see one another. It grounds him, reminds him that even though he has nightmares this, with you, is real.

Which means he ends up kissing you very often; you’re watching tv and he comes in from the garden. A kiss. You’re making dinner together and you go to the toilet, come back, a kiss. it doesn’t matter how much time apart you’ve spent. He just has to give you a kiss.

Now as mentioned before he does get nightmares and unfortunately they’re quite often, gently shake him awake if you hear him crying out in his sleep and murmur that it���ll be okay. He’ll hold you without saying anything until he drifts off again. Over time they fade away as he heals.

{suggestive} each time the two of you make love, and yes it’s 100% love making, saeran makes it his duty to tend to you. Running a soft, warm cloth over your body as you come down from your high. fixing your sweaty hair out of your face before heading off to fetch you some water and maybe a snack if you’re hungry. He treasures you and shows you that every way possible.

Saeran is a very tactile person. He went so long without physical touch that now he has yours he won’t let it go, ever. Has a hand on you, hovering about you or grabbing you every time he’s around. It’s probably another form of grounding for him, especially in crowded places where he feels very out of place and anxious.

Saeran 100% has hands on you everytime you kiss as well. and i mean everytime.

Work wise neither you nor saeran probably need to work as saeyoung has a lot of money and sold multiple cars to give saeran money. (he confirms at one point the gathering of cars was for his family)

However, Saeran never got to experience normal work and pay and so he does in fact work for awhile. He stays on with Jumin even after Jumin got elected and worked as part of a security team for a few months. But when you guys moved to the cottage/ farm he quit his job to focus on his life with you and Saeyoung. He just wanted a little bit of normalcy to feel complete.

One thing that doesn’t sit right with him no matter how much time has gone by is being out and about in a normal shop with normal people. It just never feels quite normal. He will of course insist on coming with you anytime you want to go shopping but other than that he doesn’t express any interest in exploring things like the cinema or public pools. Public places with so many people make him uncomfortable, especially with the way he’s recognised now because of the debacle with his dad.

Saeran devotes everything he has to you, that fact does not change no matter how much time passes. Every choice he makes is with you in mind, despite the fact you trying to dissuade him in order for him to form his own choices. But they are still his own decisions that he was free to make, he didn’t decide these things because he felt indebted to you but rather because he simply adores you and that was what he wanted to do to show you.

Quality time: Although he does have a lot to do at work, he’s very efficient with his time and usually doesn’t have much to do with documents once he leaves the company building. He’ll spend the rest of his evening with you, and he usually likes to just relax and enjoy the calm between the two of you, but if you have any particular activities in mind he’s willing to do whatever you’d like. For example, an evening picnic in a field and then staying out until it’s dark to do some stargazing, even if he does end up sacrificing an hour or two or sleep, it’s all worth it to him. The fact that you’re so willing to accept and love him even after learning everything about his past and his complicated feelings already feels like a lot to him. Gift giving: Zen is by no means affluent, but he tries to get you little trinkets here and there that reminded him of you or that you saw while out on a date. He wants to be able to spoil you, but because of his financial situation he can’t exactly give you everything he’d like to, but he tries to compensate for that by just giving you thoughtful gifts here and there to show that he actually pays attention to your likes and interests. For example, I think he’d buy you some cute little hair accessories or small colourful bracelets on your first date. Or if you were to mention that there’s a book series you’re particularly into and aren’t able to find a copy of the next one, he’d do everything he can to get it for you so you can continue to enjoy your hobby without frustration. 

Physical touch: Despite his ability to talk smoothly and charm people with words, Zen enjoys the simplicity in giving physical affection, and letting his actions do the talking. He’s particularly fond of holding you in his lap and resting his head in the gap between your neck and shoulder and just enjoying the silence that way, though he also really enjoys when you start talking about whatever is on your mind while absentmindedly carding your fingers through his hair. He also enjoys cuddling after going through both of your skincare routines at night, with him sitting up against the headboard and your back leaning against his chest.

Acts of service: Because of how busy he is with work, he doesn’t do a great job of taking care of himself. Doing little things like buying extra groceries to fill his practically empty fridge really brightens his mood. Cooking something for him every once in a while is also another good example, because despite his strict diet to make sure he stays healthy while also looking good for any role, he can never refuse a meal you’ve gone through all the work of preparing, especially since it was made with him in mind and clearly made with love.

Words of affirmation: Due to his appearance when he was younger, he never received many compliments from his parents (since they were worried he’d become too confident and stray from the path they wanted for him), whether on his appearance or just in general. Acts of service: Despite how overworked she already is, she does her best to show you that she can still balance a relationship and work. Housework is usually done together, but when she has time, she’ll take it upon herself cook food for the two of you if she notices you’re stressed or aren’t feeling up to it. She’ll also make you breakfast in bed if you’re not feeling well, something warm and healthy to help you recover quickly. Despite how willing she is to do all this for you, however, it’s important to make sure she doesn’t overwork herself at home like she is at work.

Physical touch: She likes more subtle ways of showing you her affection in public, like linking arms or pinkies while you’re both out, or adjusting your clothes (like scarves or shirts). Jaehee enjoys being able to be affectionate with you while still being modest in public, so she never goes overboard, like giving mouth kisses where people can see you. Though in the case of you two opening a café together, she becomes more relaxed with it (though still not too much), like giving forehead kisses in the café, but only when there aren’t too many people inside. At home however, she really likes cuddling, especially in the colder weather, and likes cuddling under the blankets with your head on her shoulder while watching TV.

Her aura is much livelier because she gets to do what she loves without stressing constantly, and she gets to do it with the person she loves most.

Words of affirmation: With how immature he tends to act in the chat rooms, Yoosung is much more troubled than he lets the rest of the RFA know. The others tend to either minimize his anger and frustration or simply tell him to calm down, which does absolutely nothing for him but make him feel worse. Your presence and comfort are a breath of fresh air for him, and he really wants someone to help him feel that his emotions are valid. Reassuring him that he’s not wrong for wanting to know more about what happened to his cousin, and that getting upset when things are hidden from him is completely reasonable, and already helps Yoosung feel a lot better.

Physical touch: Yoosung is very touchy once he gets comfortable in the relationship, though he tries to hold back in case he comes across as being too clingy. He’s very proud to be in a relationship with you, so he loves holding hands while you’re out so that people know you two are together. He also loves when you touch his hair, as it really helps him relax. Sometimes he’ll ask you to help him dye his roots once his natural colour starts to show again, or for you to help him adjust his hair clips even though he could do it himself, he likes the proximity, even if it doesn’t last for very long.

Just like the robot cat he made while at the apartment with you, he’ll often make things related to cats or other cute animals.

Physical touch: Considering his job and his abusive childhood along with the amount of time he’s spent alone working for the agency, he hasn’t really gotten much gentle physical touch for most of his life. You’d likely have to take it a bit slow at first, but he quickly gets used to it. Seven really likes full hugs that last for a long time (and he’ll often joke about just never letting you go) and when you give him forehead kisses while laying down together.

If he notices you seem tired, he’ll offer to run you a bath or take over doing the dishes that night. While it is very sweet of him, it’s important to make sure he knows he’s very important to you regardless of how useless he may think he is.

Physical touch: Though he struggles to initiate physical contact on his own, he really appreciates and enjoys when you do it, and while he may be a bit apprehensive at first out of fear of bothering you at first, he quickly relaxes when you hold him. Yoosung: I think you'd notice him in history class, he would be so flabbergasted by the events that the teacher is talking about. Would and will raise his hand just to say that it's horrible. No shit Sherlock. Would hang out with Saeran and scold Saeyoung for startling him, and pair up with Saeran during P.E. I think he would be in the exact middle between being popular and going unnoticed. Like, people notice him when he's with his popular friends but I don't think they will notice him for HIM. Would get a couple of girls having a crush on him but no fangirls

Zen: In the school cafeteria. He would be SURROUNDED. Like you couldn't even see him with all the girls and boys around him. Would start a food fight and everyone else but him would get into trouble. He's that kid that every female teacher loves so much that it starts to feel illegal. He seems like those people who never eat school lunches despite being in the cafeteria, but I think everyone would let him be because you do not wanna get beef with his fangirls.

707/Saeyoung: IN MATH CLASS. I CANNOT SAY IT ENOUGH IN MATH CLASS. He would correct the teacher so much that the teacher hates him for it. But nobody can deny that he's a genius. Would crack a few jokes during class which would make the teacher hate him even more but I don't think he cares. Would give Zen the idea to start a food fight and then run away so that he doesn't get in trouble. He would be very very popular because of being a class clown and Zen's friend, on top of being charismatic and handsome.

Jumin: In foreign literature class. He's one of those ib student, and probably gets the best grades. Wouldn't eat in the cafeteria bc bro's too good for that, no but I feel like he would be this kid with a hundred intolerance and allergy. Very serious to the point where it's annoying. Always gets picked in group projects tho because he will get the best grade and everybody knows that. His father probably donates a LOT to the school. He's pretty popular amongst the girls because he's quite handsome and stupidly rich, so he's got a good amount of fangirls around the school. The boys make fun of him for being stuck-up tho.

Rika: You'd probably find her in the library helping the librarian or doing extra work in the classroom. She's the perfect pretty girl. If a cat infiltrates the school, will pet it and defend it from those weird ass people that wanna hit it. Would get the best grades and I feel like she would take latin as an option (worst choice of life btw). She would be fairly popular amongst the student body because of her very very popular friends. Will get a burnout in the middle of the year and maybe quit school for a bit.

Saeran: Behind a tree reading. I think he would be an ib student too and for that reason would have a lot of books to read. And since he doesn't wanna hang out with Saeyoung to avoid getting in trouble, he would read those books at school. Will still be targeted by Saeyoung for pranks tho, but nothing mean just annoying enough to make Saeran go away with a big loud huff. He wouldn't eat in the cafeteria but he would still get his plate and then go to his tree again. Basically if you wanna find him he'll be next to his tree lmao. He's a hot topic at school because he's very calm and shy on top of being very pretty, so people think he's mysterious yk yk. Probably has a group of fangirls he's unaware of.

＃ SAEYOUNG (707) !! ♡

When the song changes to one with a smoother tempo and the lights in the party hall dim quite a bit, there's a notable shift in the general mood. Saeyoung seems relaxed for the first time, as if he's finally come to the conclusion that he's under no obligation to make himself miserable all the time to repay for sins he never willingly committed. To your slight embarrassment, he catches you staring up at him, admiring the way his glasses reflect the soft, yellow lights and the way his brightly colored hair curls ever so slightly at the tips.

You can't see it at the moment, but you have a feeling he's blushing. A bashful smile tugs at his lips, though he does his best to stifle it.

". . . Would you like to dance?" You ask, —pulling something out of nowhere in order to simmer both of your high-strung emotions down.

Saeyoung seems a bit taken aback by the request at first, but doesn't appear to be off-put by it. If he were to mask his feelings and revert back to the man you met in the chatroom originally, he'd have done some silly dance move in hopes of making you laugh. If he were to revert to being Luciel, the boy with too many emotions built up inside of him to count, he'd have denied you the opportunity to have even asked that comfortably in the first place.

But this, —this is Saeyoung. A little bit of Seven, a little bit of Luciel. Someone with layers and intricate parts. Someone strong-willed, but also someone sensitive. Someone painfully insecure at times who has sought strength in your light, and within his own.

"Sure," he gives you a gentle smile, offering his hand to you, "let's dance."

This is his equilibrium.

He has two left feet and it's obvious, but you don't mention it, and he knows you don't really care in the first place. You didn't ask to dance with him in order to put on any kind of spectacular performance. . . You asked to dance with him because it felt right, and you wanted him to pull you closer.

And you certainly got your wish. Your head is resting along his shoulder and his hands are hooked under your arms, fingers curving around your shoulders. You can feel the way he breathes, soft and slow in this moment with you, his heart beating a little quicker than it normally would. He smells of cologne with a tinge of sweetness, likely from his favorite snack. His scent is comforting, and it completely wipes away any lingering worries about what anyone else thinks of you being here with him.

Saeyoung is so warm. 

Like beaming sunlight after a night of torrential storms. Like a steaming cup of hot chocolate on a freezing winter’s day.

"I'm still having a hard time believing that all of this isn't a dream," he admits, voice softer than you've ever heard it before. "Out of all the people in the world. . . Out of all the people in the RFA. . . I just can't believe you picked me."

"I do care about everyone in the RFA, of course," you acknowledge, "but with you, it's just different. You're the only person I've ever met that's made me feel like this."

The only person I've ever met that's made my heart race quite this horribly; as if my chest is in hyperdrive. The only person that's ever yearned to accept me for all the things I am and will never prove to be.

His grip softens a bit on your shoulders, as if realizing that he doesn’t need to keep you locked in his embrace. You’d come to it willingly. . . You’ll seek him not out of obligation, not because you want him for something he’d be hard pressed to give. But simply because you love him, and you care. . . And that’s all Saeyoung could ever ask for.

＃ SAERAN (RAY) !! ♡

Saeran doesn’t seem fond of the idea at first. When you ask, his nose scrunches up a little, as if reflexively disgusted by the thought of it. But before he denies your request, he takes a moment to ponder on the prospect. He does love you, and of that he’s sure, but being touched, being loved, accepting adoration and affection. . . Yeah, those things haven’t quite been settled yet. Far from it, in fact. But the waver in his pale mint irises assures you that he’s not opposed to the idea of dancing with you in particular. No, it’s not that at all.

It’s just the idea of being so close to someone, letting someone else see him in a position that could even be so much as interpreted as vulnerable, is a hard scenario to swallow.

“Sorry,” you apologize softly, voice barely above a whisper, “maybe I shouldn’t have asked right now.”

He pauses, lips parting ever so slightly as if he has something to say but isn’t sure what that something is just yet. After a few seconds pass, he utters: “No, no. . . It’s not that.”

Saeran pauses again, searching for the proper way to turn his thoughts and feelings into words that you can understand. In times like these, he wishes you could just slither in through his ear and live inside his brain; hear all his thoughts instead of him having to try and water them down and push out to relay them to you coherently. There are also times where he wishes you could just crawl inside him, rest between his ribs and listen to the beat of his heart; —the one that hammers away for you.

“I’d like to,” he concludes, tacking on: “but let's stay over here in the corner.”

You nod. After all, it’s not like you’d asked to dance with him to show him off to everyone at the party. You really don’t feel as if you need to prove anything at all to anyone else. As long as Saeran knows you care for him and would hold his hand through the fiery pits of hell, you really don’t care who else supports or believes in your relationship. They aren’t the ones that matter here.

When his arms encircle your waist, a smile tugs uncontrollably at your lips. Saeran actively avoids eye contact, feeling overwhelmed by the intensity of it. You don’t try to force it for the sake of some picture-perfect romance movie moment. Nothing displayed up on a silver screen could ever compare to the reality of this; —Saeran’s sloppy footwork, awkward hands, and the warmth of his body seeping into yours.

“You’re so gentle,” you mumble quietly, so much so that it almost slips him by.

He’s a bit confused by that. Out of all the ways you could describe him, gentle doesn’t seem to be one he’s ever felt accurately depicted him. Weak might be better, in his opinion. . . Foolish, gullible, —fragile, even.

But he knows you’re not insulting him. You’re pointing out something you love about him. Something he himself hates. Although, it's hard to hate that side of himself when you seem to love it so fondly. It’s hard to hate any side of himself when he’s with you.

Saeran doesn’t say much in the time between the first and second slow songs of the night. His silence is steeped in comfort, —the kind that he’s never felt before. As time all but stands still for the both of you, he gradually allows himself to get closer, allows his walls to come down little by little. Still not much one for direct eye contact in moments like these, Saeran closes his eyes when he rests his forehead gingerly against your own. 

“I love you,” you tell him tentatively.

He says nothing in response, —but he doesn’t need to. The way his grip tightens against your upper hip says it all.

＃ JIHYUN (V) !! ♡

Jihyun is by no means a stranger to slow dancing. Though he’s far from an expert, he likes to think he knows his way around a few basic steps well enough to not completely embarrass himself. So, when you ask him to dance with you at the party, he has no reason in particular to deny you. He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t nervous about it, though.

His hands know well to mind the appropriate distance between certain areas of your body, and Jihyun spares no exception in being sure you’re as comfortable as can be. He’s so light-handed you even have to reassure him that he’s allowed to be firm and expressive.

“You don’t need to keep your distance,” you say, “—if it’s for my sake, I appreciate the thought, but it’s really not necessary.”

He swallows, but his palm readjusts to lay flat against the curve of your side. Jihyun is many things, and gentle is one of them. Both because it seems to simply be in his nature, and because he worries often that pressing too roughly against things he deeply cares for will render him alone, lost at sea once again. And if he lost you after everything it’s taken for him to be able to call you his, he’s not sure what he’d do with himself in the wake of it.

“I want to be close to you,” you add, “—if that’s what you want too, of course.”

“It is,” Jihyun quickly assures you, “so much so that it pulls at my heart until I’m not sure I can even stand it anymore.”

Of all people, Jihyun knows what it’s like to love, to give it all, and to be left with nothing in return. While he once hollowed himself out for the sake of someone who couldn’t love anyone more than her own shadow, —you are eons different in the best, most positive ways.

In a way, Jihyun feels as if this closeness depollutes him, and makes him cleaner by the second.

As if everything has settled around him for the first time in what feels like forever, and he no longer has to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders alone. . . Because you’re there to uphold it with him.

The soft, sweet, melodic song playing throughout the party hall continues on, and as it does, Jihyun finds himself naturally relaxing into your warmth until one hand is planted firmly along your side and the other has laced your fingers with his. Your heart melts with every humble brush of his fingertips. As you rest your head near the crook of his neck, you can smell his expensive cologne. It’s warm-toned and almost soothing in nature, —a gift from Jumin, no doubt.

“I prefer simple things like this more than anything,” Jihyun confesses. “I’ve never been one for fancy restaurants or designer shops. I like this much better. . . The two of us sharing a moment together, and that being good enough.”

“More than anything, I just like to see you happy,” you mumble in reply.

And it’s true. Nothing in the world beats the heart-fluttering feeling that Jihyun’s smile invokes from you.

“It’s easier to be happy when you’re here,” he answers. “There’s no pressure, no expectations. . . You’re not looking to gain anything from me. You’ve seen every inch of my soul, have borne witness to all my sins, and yet here you are. . . Loving me. Holding me. . . As if I genuinely deserve it, even though I don’t.”

“You do deserve it, Jihyun,” you whisper.

And I’ll be right here by your side until you believe it yourself.
