So my headcanon is that Lance has a "locked in" voice.

When you hear his normal voice you know its safe to play and joke around, the situation is not that dire, but the locked in voice is the kind of voice you hear telling you "you have ten seconds to stop this shit and you are already at seven" and your monkey brain tells you, you need to listen or else !!!

when pro-ship wasn't cutting it, pro-fic was a good step in the right direction to better convey the scope of the position, but i think the scope is part of the problem. Antis have blown the scale of the disagreement so far out of proportion, that to them it has little to do with *fandom* and more to do with (who they perceive to be) *real-life predators.* In a hurry to defend ourselves we've fallen into their trap by chasing the shifting goalposts.

We shouldn't be discussing things like propaganda, grooming, cults, laws, child abuse, paraphiles, and the ethics of incest each and every goddamn day. Sure, those things deserve to be discussed, but *it should have stayed outside the scope of the original problem.* None of those topics had any relevance to the central dogma of pro-ship.

It was ship and let ship. It was not starting witchhunts over fanworks. It was not calling fans criminals for liking icky stuff.

When antis badger you about things beyond the scope of pro-fiction, resist the temptation to argue any points. Don't bother. Be adamant that you will not engage.

I'm sure this kind of provocative tactic has a name, but it escapes me. It is designed to be unwinnable. Be prepared for them to try to exploit your refusal to answer. They *will* ask you shit like "Are you a pedophile?" and then run around screaming "you're not denying it!! look everyone you're a pedo!! just say no are you afraid or something you pedo!!" when you respond with silence. Block, mute, delete replies, report, do everything in your power to silence them.

An interaction that made me turbo pissed at the time but is goddamn hilarious in hindsight is the time I encountered a turbo homophobic Voltron fan. This chick was writing think pieces on how insinuating Keith is gay or ace is blasphemy and actually he’s drowning in pussy.

Like… did we watch the same show??? He never once shows interest in women but takes psychic damage from Lance not remembering their bonding moment and eye fucks James every chance he gets. That is not heterosexual behavior and the fact that someone is so homophobic that they genuinely think Keith was meant to be straight and was fucking every woman he sees off screen is so funny to me. Like she was genuinely convinced the show implied he was out here impregnating people. That man’s canon sexuality is anything-but-straight.

I asked this in my favorite system discord server and then decided I might as well ask here as well.

Systems, when your brain introjects a fictive, what kinds of things does it focus on? What does it consider important, and what does it not bother with?

For us, the brain tends to focus on the name, physical characteristics, the personality traits it considers important, and sometimes mannerisms. Conversely, it often plays fast and loose with history, background, identity, and relationships.

I'm an introject of Keith from Voltron, but only in the very cursory, loose sense of those words. I have minimal attachment to canon and to the events that occurred in the actual media.

And I'm curious how other systems experience introjects? (If you kin a fictional character and want to answer, feel free. The more, the merrier.)
