Uninterested
Request: Hey wassup may I request a Jinsoul x fem reader where the reader was super loving and caring in the relationship but they suddenly saw the "Let me introduce idols" ep 5 where Jinsoul said she likes someone who isn't really interested in her. This makes reader get hurt and act cold towards Jinsoul bc she's scared she'll leave her and Jinsoul gets confused. Angst and fluff please, thank you <3
Pairing: Jinsoul x Fem Reader
A/N I hope this is to your liking!

"Sol!"
You come bounding into your girlfriend's arms the moment you see her and she receives you with even more excitement. The usual ritual that the two of you fall into without fail. The massive hug you share is only matched by the passion in the kisses you share when you get to see each other. She doesn't complain when you come crashing into her full force or when you dote on her 24/7. In fact, Jinsoul surprises herself sometimes with how much she loves being loved by you so hard. Not once has she ever had to question your love for her, because you show it in everything you do.
When you pull back, it's just enough to look into her eyes, chin on her chest, and a smile on your face. The other BBC staff brought the girls a little late so you and the rest of the makeup and hair staff have to move quicker than usual. Luckily for you, there were only 6 out of the twelve girls today. Unfortunately for you that also meant you needed to cover 3 different faces in less time than usual, but you're a pro so it's all good. Today you came up with a plan of action to move quicker, today you were in charge of the unnie line in age order while your colleague covered Heejin, Hyejoo, and Yeojin.
"Hey to you too." Her smile gives you warmth as you completely pull away. Now that your moment was over, you put on your game face and looked around until you spotted Kahei.
"See you later babe, duty calls." You give her a pack on the cheek before making your way to a clearly tired Kahei and gently guiding her to your chair.
"Why are you two so grossly adorable?" Jinsol turns her head to see Hyejoo looking mildly disgusted before Sooyoung puts her in a headlock from behind.
"Oh don't be such a love hater Hyejoo. They're just the right amount of cute." Heejin comments before sitting in the other makeup artist's chair.
"Yeah, don't be like that to your unnie." Jinsol squishes her cheeks when Sooyoung lets her go with a flourish of laughter.
"Seriously though you guys can be a little gross, I think it's cute." Sooyoung comments.
She watches Jinsol look over at you with adoration. In her mind, there was just no reason for you to be so perfect for her. She constantly finds things to love about you like right now. The concentration that takes over your face and the sweet smile she can catch you giving her members while you do your damndest to make them look even better for the cameras, consistently reminds her of how deeply she loves you.
"She has no business being that pretty," Jinsol grumbles under her breath, but Sooyoung definitely hears it. She nudges her friend fondly and just goes off into a different conversation.
Time actually seems to fly by as you finish up Kahei, then Sooyoung. You and your co-worker go pretty much at the same pace so when Jinsol finally sits in your chair, Yeojin sits in hers at the same time. You don't speak to her right away, you just give her a small peck on the lips before you get started. Jinsol looks up at you and pouts, trying to guilt you into another kiss.
"What's the face for?" You stand back, head tilted to the side.
"You call that a kiss?" She reaches for your hips to bring you down on her lap but you gently smack her hands away with a serious expression.
"You'll get kisses after work. Right now I have a job to do so be a good girl and hold still." You turn to start grabbing the products you use for her and Jinsol has to resist the urge to protest because she knows you're right.
The entire time you do her makeup Jinsol's eyes hardly ever leave your face. Periodically, she'll pucker her lips in hopes of you giving in but you don't pay her any mind. She doesn't try to speak because of the look in your eye when she tries to flirt with you while you're working. When you finally finish and start to pack up your things Jinsol stands and pulls you into her arms. You never mind when she wants to display her affection for you, but the moment she tries to lean in you aren't having it.
"Jung Jinsol!" She startles back and loosens her grip on you just enough for you to duck out of her arms and glare at her. She looks at you dumbfounded.
"If you mess up my hard work before you even get on set, I'm not kissing you at all."
Your threat shakes her up just enough to have her sputtering but she doesn't have time to properly respond before they are called in for their interview. They have another event with the full group after this is over so you pack up your bags except for your pouch for touch-ups. For now, you just have to watch backstage with the other staff before it's time to meet up at the next location.
For the most part, you just sat and relaxed. The atmosphere was pretty chill until Jinsol said something that hurt your feelings.
"I think I like people who are not interested in me," Heejin speaks up.
"Oh, that's right!" Jinsol nods along.
"It's a little much when someone expresses interest first." Heejin continues.
"Right." You're a little shocked to see Jinsol nodding and responding in agreeance.
You've never heard her even allude to being overwhelmed by you, yet right now you're overthinking every move you've ever made. Was she just pretending to like you back this whole time? Or if not, will she grow tired of you? You shift uncomfortably in your seat and nonchalantly glance around.
No one else seems to notice your discomfort so you just sit quietly until it's time to go. When the members make their way back, you're all packed up and ready to go. Jinsol comes to you immediately, lips puckered and hands around your waist. When she leans in, all she's gets is your cheek.
Jinsol steps back and looks at you sideways but you're too busy grabbing your things to look at her.
"Baby? What's wrong?" Your girlfriend begins to worry when you don't answer or look at her. Her mind races as you leave for the next location with the other makeup artist.
"Baby?" She practically whimpers at you but you're already out of earshot. She turns around to see the others looking at her concerned. You couldn't really be mad about earlier right? She was only playing around but what else could you possibly be upset with her about?
"Maybe she's just not feeling well?" Yeojin chimes.
"Maybe." Jinsol doesn't know what else to say.
-------------------
When they arrive, you're already working on Chaewon. You're usually in charge of yyxy for ot12 events so Sooyoung and Hyejoo agree to try and figure out what's wrong with you. Jinsol on the other hand can't help the little feeling of jealousy growing inside of her while you giggle quietly with Chaewon. You hadn't even glanced her way when she came in but you looked up and smiled at Sooyoung and Hyejoo.
Deciding she had some time to spare before it was her to have her makeup redone, Jinsol slides up to you and asks what's wrong directly in your ear. You jump in surprise and turn your head only to realize just how close she is to your face. Seconds feel like minutes when you see her looking at your lips, and you almost kiss her. But then you remember your fears from earlier.
"Nothing, I'm fine." With that you turn back to Gowon, leaving Jinsol to pout at your side.
She leaves you alone for the rest of the day and is even more disheartened when Sooyoung and Hyejoo come back with nothing but shrugging shoulders. The hope that you'll be back to normal tomorrow stays with her but a week later and she's still confused. You never want to kiss or cuddle and when she tries you just avoid her. As a matter of fact, it feels like you're avoiding her period and it's making her upset.
It weighs on her mind until she can't take it anymore. She misses you and wants to understand how you're feeling so she calls you with a serious tone in her voice. It's not a request but a demand that you be home when she arrives at your apartment, so you are.
When she crosses the threshold you make no moves of intimacy towards her like you usually do and she huffs with frustration.
"Do you want to break up?" It's not the speech she had practiced and planned, in fact, it breaks her heart to even say. Her voice cracks but it seems to snap you out of whatever you were under.
"What? No!" Panic sets in so deeply, you feel it in your bones.
"Then why are you acting so weird Y/n? You just seem so uninterested lately." She gets worried when she sees the tears building in your eyes and the sniffles you let out.
"But I thought that's what you wanted. You said you like people that aren't interested in you, so I thought you might be getting tired of me."
At first, she's confused. When had she ever said that? It's clear that she said it because you look so sad just thinking about it. Then she thinks back to the first day you began acting differently and things start clicking into place.
"I didn't mean anything by that! I was just agreeing with Heekie because I know that's how she feels." Jinsol begins slowly closing the rather large gap of space you put between you. She moves as calmly as possible to give you time to back up if you want to, but she's really not sure her heart could take that.
"I love you and how you treat me. You have no idea how good it makes me feel when you get excited to see me. I love that you always want to show me love just like I do for you."
As she speaks and walks your head hangs low while tears spill silently down your beautiful face. When she's so close that her feet are right in front of your, Jinsol wraps you in her arms. It takes you a moment to reciprocate but you do. The hug you give back is so tight that it lets your girlfriend know very clearly how much you missed her. You're so warm that it brings tears to her eyes and soon she's crying with you.
"Please don't do this again. I thought you fell out of love with me." Jinsol's words were followed up with a gut-wrenching sobbing sound that made your own tears fall that much faster.
"I won't. I'm sorry baby." You whisper to her.
You continue to hold each other until you have just enough strength to lay down together on your futon. Jinsol is usually the big spoon but it was clear she needed to be held, so that's what you did. Before either of you know it, you're both knocked out. You're only awakened hours later by the call from Loona for Sol to come back to the dorm.

I’m Yours:
Charlie Gillespie x Reader
Chapter IV
Y/N is Kenny Ortega’s ‘niece’ after going through a rough breakup, Kenny decides to fly her over to stay with him, will her broken heart mend?
(Female Reader, NO SMUT, Romance, Friendship, THIS IS MY FIRST EVER FANFIC/IMAGINE, I hope it’s good, Kenny is lifelong family friend so reader calls him Uncle Kenny. I’m British so the writing is going to be British so like ‘mum’ not ‘mom’ yanno?)
TW- swearing. mentions of alcohol, drugs & divorce
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
Y/N
“Doll, you ready to go?” Kenny asked as he shrugged on his coat, we had been at Tori’s for a good three hours and I could see Kenny was getting tired and we did have a really long day tomorrow, I nodded at my uncle happily before bidding farewell to my new found friends. I found it quite strange as to how quickly they had befriended me and made me feel more than welcome- Charlie especially, I mean throughout the day he asked me if I was alright and he encouraged me to share my ideas with Uncle Kenny, it really was strange.
“See you tomorrow Y/n” Owen chirped, pulling me in for a quick hug, I was soon passed round through the group of friends each of them giving me a tight hug which I gladly reciprocated, I waved everyone a final goodbye before Kenny and I left Tori’s apartment and made our way back to the car.
As Uncle Kenny drove through the streets of Vancouver, I paid most attention to the lights displayed throughout, I watched as birds flew through the sky and listened to the soft sound of the radio, “you okay Y/n?” Uncle Kenny questioned,
“Hm?” I said, as the questioned tore me out of my unknown daydream, I turned to face my uncle Kenny and before he could repeat himself, my brain managed to process what he originally asked “oh oh yeah, I’m fine Uncle Kenny, just sight seeing” I laughed quietly,
“Okay, just making sure, I’m worried about you...” Kenny admitted, I had a feeling that he was but he just didn’t want to draw attention to me and my situation, I have always been very good at hiding my emotions it came from years and years of being told that my emotions and the way I felt weren’t ‘necessary’ and that I shouldn’t feel the way I did- in the end, I decided to no longer tell anyone my problems but deal with them myself, battling through the pain as a lone warrior, I didn’t even tell Kenny what was going on, I built up layers of walls around me to protect myself and make it seem like I was this strong, capable woman. “You’re only 19, Y/n, I know you’re strong but... I just want you to know that I am here should you ever need me” I nodded in response, worried that if I did speak, my voice would give way and I would be revealed as this weak character, I’ve already cried once today and I’m not planning on crying anymore, not in front of Kenny at least.
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
Kenny locked the door behind me as we both entered the apartment, “do you want a drink or anything Uncle Kenny?” I questioned as I made my way into the kitchen, opening the fridge and taking out the carton of orange juice,
“No you’re alright Star, I’m just going to head to bed, I’ll wake you up at 7 alright?” He assured me, I nodded as I sipped at my juice, I looked at the digital clock placed on the side- 12:00am, luckily I had sorted through all of my clothes before going to set and again before going to Tori’s because, quite honestly, I hadn’t the energy to do much at this point, I watched as my uncle wandered into his room, closing the door behind him. I let out a deep breath, the thoughts of a few nights ago coming back into my memory, replaying itself there, why wasn’t I good enough? I did absolutely everything I could for him... I loved him with everything I had... why wasn’t I good enough?
I kept asking myself, it was truly lost on me, I didn’t see myself as this perfect girl, this perfect girlfriend but I knew what I did for him. I was there for him when his dad spiralled, turning to alcoholism and drug abuse, I was there whenever he called, whenever he showed up randomly at my house at 4 in the morning crying and looking for a cuddle, I made sure to visit him mum every Tuesday evening for dinner because Zac wanted to move out once his parents split, deciding to live with his grandparents instead. We were even thinking about moving in together... well him moving in with me as I had already had my own place at 18. That boy was my entire world for 3 years and the fact that he could throw it all away so easily, really hurt me, and I don’t think it was anything that I could understand ever.
The thought alone caused my heart to feel crushed, it felt like Zac had a hold of my heart and whenever I thought about it, he just squeezed my heart as hard as he possibly could, it felt like a gut wrenching type of pain, I wiped away the tears that I didn’t even realise were spilling quickly out of my eyes. I cleared my throat and drank the rest of my juice before making my way to bed, I changed into my grey cable knit sweater and my plaid shorts and clambered into the large double bed, snuggling into the comfort that the bed brought me before I let sleep take over me.
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
“Rise and shine” Kenny said quietly into my bedroom, I groaned as I stretched in bed, “morning sleepyhead” he chuckled,
“Morning” I mumbled, scratching the back of my head, Kenny told me that we’d be leaving in 20 minutes, “okay, I’ll see you in 20” I smiled, sliding out of bed and heading into my closet, I grabbed my white tennis skirt, white shirt and dark blue sweater, I paired the outfit with white tennis socks and my white and blue Nike Jordan’s that Uncle Kenny bought me for Christmas. I placed my clothes on my bed and went for a quick shower, this time I dried my hair before chucking it up into a high ponytail, I brushed my teeth and did some light makeup again before changing and grabbing my phone off the side,
“Let’s go” I stated as I made my way over to Kenny,
“You look amazing” he smiled genuinely at me, I thanked him and we made our way back to the set of his new show.
“So... how did you sleep?” Kenny asked me,
“Oh really well thank you, that bed was huge, you could fit like five of me in there” I joked, just as my phone chimed, I looked down at the lit screen to see messages from the one person I didn’t want to hear from.
Zac- Hey, where are you? I came to your place to see you and you weren’t there...
I rolled my eyes and groaned internally before locking my phone and sinking into my seat, “what’s on your mind?” Uncle Kenny asked immediately, I swear it’s like this man lives in my brain. I turned my phone on vibrate just as another text came through,
“It’s nothing Uncle Kenny” I sighed, the man driving next to me simply hummed in response, he definitely didn’t believe me but I knew he wasn’t going to push for answers- he never did, he would always let me come to him if I needed and that was one of the things I loved most about him. I could feel my phone constantly vibrating in my hand whilst Kenny was driving, so I turned it on do not disturb just to try and escape it.
“Alright kiddo, we’ve arrived” Kenny said as he swiftly parked up, I went to unbuckle myself but Kenny stopped me, “you don’t have to tell me right now, but I am here, you know I won’t judge you like your parents” he explained, I sighed and leant over to rest my head on his arm,
“I know Uncle Kenny... it’s Zac, he texted me... I’m ignoring him though” I replied, he sighed and looked down at me, placing a kiss to the top of my head,
“You’re going to have to” Kenny started before I cut him off mid sentence,
“Message him at some point, I know I know” I sat back upright and unbuckled the seat before getting out the car, “come on” I sighed, putting back on my brave face before heading into the lot with Uncle Kenny in tow.
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
Charlie
“Y/n!” I heard Sav yell from across the lot, I turned to see Y/n walking towards us, her arms linked with Kenny’s as he was talking and joking with her, I watched as she let out a quick laugh before shaking her head, probably at some corny joke that Kenny told. “We’re matching!” Sav exclaimed as Y/n got closer,
“So we are!” Y/n giggled, “but don’t you have to be in your Carrie costume?” She questioned, pointing at the costume trailer just a way behind us,
“We are rehearsing Wow today in costume” Kenny announced, this prompted Sav to scrunch her face and turn on her heels, grabbing Tori by her upper arm as they both ran to the costume trailer, “those girls” Kenny laughed, shaking his head, “I’m going to get some breakfast, do you want anything Y/n?” The girl shook her head, “you have to eat Star, I’ll get you a croissant okay?”
“If I have to eat, can you get me some blueberry pancakes?” Y/n questioned innocently, smiling up at her ‘uncle.’ Kenny simply nodded and walked over to catering to grab him and Y/n some breakfast. “Hey” Y/n said as she took a step closer to me, I looked down at her and smiled,
“Hey” I mirrored, “sleep well last night?” I asked, the girl nodded and started to walk down the lot, I naturally started to follow her, not wanting the conversation to end,
“Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever slept in a bed that big before” she giggled, causing my heart to skip a beat slightly, “how about you? Did you sleep well?” She questioned, looking up at me with her beautiful y/e/c eyes.
“Oh yeah, Owen and I left Tori’s a little while after you and Ken left, we grabbed some food and then just crashed as soon as we got home” I said simply, just as I mentioned Owen I saw him come out of his trailer dressed as Alex,
“You, Charles. Have to be in costume” he stated, pointing at me, I rolled my eyes before he shoo’d me away, I nodded slightly at Y/n as a way to say goodbye and she saluted me slightly which caused me to laugh before jogging up to costume.
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
Y/N
“Why the long face?” Owen asked me as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, “wassup Buttercup?” I bit the inside of my cheek and looked up at the blonde boy,
“It’s my ex” I stated plainly, “he messaged me this morning and I just...” I trailed off, not really knowing what to say, was I ignoring Zac because I hated him, or was I ignoring him because I was worried that if I did text him back, I would fall for him all over again? You can’t get over someone that quickly, no matter how much they hurt you... right?
“Don’t know what to say to him?” Owen answered for me, “what did he say?” He asked, I daren’t look at my phone again because I knew that he had probably texted more so I tried to remember what I saw at quick glance.
“It was something about why I wasn’t home and where I was” I remembered, sitting down on the small couch in the resting tent, my back against the arm rest and my legs tucked up to my chest, Owen sat down, facing me and mirroring my position, “I just don’t see why I have to tell him that anymore... he’s my ex y’know?” I vented, leaning my head back and closing my eyes.
“Hey, you shouldn’t let him get to you like that, it’s not cool... look, I’m pretty sure we have a day off tomorrow, why don’t you come over to mine and Charlie’s place and we can watch movies and pig out?” Owen offered, I lifted my head back up and nodded, it didn’t sound like the worst idea, in fact, it sounded like the best thing for me, I mean karaoke last night helped me a lot so maybe just a chilled day would help too?
“Yeah that sounds amazing actually” I smiled.
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
“Okay you guys, Sav, Sacha, Tori, Mads and Jay you guys can all go home, thank you so much for your excellence today, you’re all amazing!” Uncle Kenny beamed with pride at his cast that he was dismissing for the day, we had just filmed 3 more scenes for the show and the cast had rehearsals for as many dances they could fit in today, the only thing left on the agenda was the hot dog scene, “now, I will see everyone at the next location? Y/n, you ready?” Kenny asked, I nodded as I felt a shiver run up my spine causing my body to visibly shake,
“Hey” I heard Charlie whisper, “you okay?” He questioned, staying within earshot of me,
“Yeah I’m good, just cold, I forgot a jacket and it was warm today... I kinda forgot how long today was” I laughed, slightly embarrassed about my sieve of a brain, although the presence of Charlie stood behind me seemed to keep me fairly warm, that is, until I felt him leave. I turned to see Owen looking behind him as Charlie darted off, “I’ll be one second” Charlie yelled loud enough for everyone to hear and wait for him.
“Where’s he going?” Jeremy asked, pointing behind him towards where Charlie had just disappeared to,
“I have... no idea” Owen sighed, shrugging his shoulders, “Y/n/n, do you know?” I shook my head,
“He just ran off, maybe he forgot something” I stated, just as Charlie came running back, handing me a brown corduroy jacket with a wool collar,
“Here, it has pockets too so you won’t have to keep holding your phone” he said, only slightly out of breath.
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
Charlie
Y/n gently took the jacket from me, “oh... thanks” she said as a red tint reached her cheeks, she shrugged the jacket on and I couldn’t help but smile at how it looked on her, on me, it fit perfectly but on Y/n, it nearly swamped her, the sleeves hung so low only her fingertips could be seen and the length of the jacket went just above where her skirt ended. She looked adorable.
“Yeah.. yeah anytime” I replied, Y/n placed her phone in her pocket and started to walk towards Kenny,
“Hey, I’ve gotta talk to my Uncle Kenny about some things for the hot dog scene, I had some ideas but I’ll see you on location okay?” She said, not just to me, but to Owen and Jeremy as well, all three of us nodded and joined together so we could all walk out of the lot,
“You like her...” Jeremy stated, Owen nudged him slightly and rolled his eyes,
“I made that observation last night!” He said, “but yeah, you totally like her... it’s obvious”
“I just gave her my jacket, she said she was cold, I would’ve done the same for anybody, like Mads” I defended, “she did look really cute in it though” I admitted, Owen agreed with me which caused me to look at him sceptically,
“Before you get jealous and ask me, no I don’t like her, she’s just a friend” he answered before I even had a chance to ask the question, “oh by the way, she was talking to me about her ex today, something about how he messaged her and she doesn’t know what to say to him, she seemed really down so I invited her to come over tomorrow” Owen explained,
“Oh really? Okay cool” was all I could say, Jeremy soon decided to change the subject to running lines as he could see that I was becoming nervous at the fact that Y/n was coming over, I had no idea why the thought of it had my heart racing and my mind scattered but it did, there was something about Y/n that I couldn’t quite put my finger on but whatever it was drove me crazy about her.
꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂
Y/N
We had just finished filming the final scene of the day- the hot dog scene and it was the longest scene ever, the amount of re-runs and developments on the scene was enough to drive anybody insane, I groaned slightly as I turned and sat on the seat that one of the crew members brought with them just as Kenny was wrapping the scene up. “Y/n, I’ve just got to do some paperwork and I’ll be right with you okay? I’m sure the boys will keep you company once they change” Kenny announced, to which I simply nodded, not having the energy to say anything or do anything else, I rubbed my eye as I pulled my phone out of Charlie’s jacket pocket, I looked down at the screen and saw the notification, I had 36 unread messages from Zac:
>Zac- hello? Y/n! Where are you?
>Zac- I’m worried about you...
>Zac- Y/n! Would you please just answer me...
>Zac- I went to the coffee shop, you weren’t there either, where have you run off to?
>Zac- look Y/n, I’m really sorry about what I did to you
>Zac- WTF! WHERE ARE YOU?!?
>Zac- you can’t possibly be giving me the silent treatment? Seriously.
>Zac- I didn’t realise you were so childish.
>Zac- I’m glad I cheated on you, you’re worthless
>Zac- wait no, I’m sorry I didn’t mean that I’m just worried about you.
The list went on and on, a mixture of emotions, I kept scrolling through the text screen until I saw the most recent text, delivered 1 minute ago,
>Zac- call me. Please.
I rolled my eyes, I couldn’t call him, I shouldn’t call him right? But alas, like muscle memory, I clicked on the call icon and there was his voice, “Y/n! Hey... how’re you?” All I did was sigh in response, I watched as the boys came out of the venue and into sight, they all waved at me before noticing I was on the phone, Owen and Jeremy dispersed whereas Charlie stayed, walking slowly towards me with a half-smile on his face, clearly worried about whether or not I wanted him to come closer.
“What do you want?” I said bluntly, “I’m not in the mood to hear your pathetic apologies Zac, you’re messages were ridiculous, you went from being apologetic to calling me worthless and saying that you were happy that you cheated on me!”
“Listen Y/n... I can’t explain” Zac began but I was in no mood to hear it,
“No you listen Zac, you don’t get to be sad, you don’t get to cry. You are the one who cheated remember? Or have you suddenly developed amnesia? You went behind my back and had this whole other relationship for 13 months... and on top of that, it was with Quinn! My best friend and you think I’m going to sit here and listen to your silly little apologies, no, you have another thing coming. We were together for 3 years and for a year of that you were with someone else, I was nothing but loyal to you, I was nothing but kind to you, I loved you so much and I thought that you would never hurt me, but I was wrong, you’re just a piece of shit Zac, you and Quinn deserve each other, you’re both snakes, you’re both pathetic and you both betrayed me. I dont want to hear from you again? Do I make myself clear?” I ranted down the phone, I never raised my voice, I kept calm, I wouldn’t let him know that he made me so angry that I wanted to scream and throw my phone into the road, no. I wouldn’t let him have that power over me.
“But Y/n- we’ve been through so much... Quinn doesn’t know me like you do... she’s not there for me like you do” Zac grovelled, I scoffed in response,
“Well isn’t that just a crying shame? You should’ve thought about that before you decided to go behind my back and fuck her, you should’ve thought about it before you decided to be unfaithful. Hey, I’ll make this easy for you, I’ll just block you on everything that way you have no way of contacting me. Goodbye Zac” I said as I abruptly hung up, giving Zac no chance to talk, I blocked his number and started to go through my social media, blocking him on everything that I had.
“Uh... you okay?” I heard a worried voice speak, I looked up to see those eyes that could only belong to Charlie, he tilted his head and looked at me with concern riddled all over his face, I placed my phone on my lap and rubbed my temples to try and reduce to incoming headache.
“Yeah... that was my ex” I stated the absolute obvious, unsure of what else to say, Charlie nodded and stuffed his hands in his pockets before taking the seat next to me, he didn’t ask me to go on and explain but I felt like I could talk to him and so I did “you probably heard but he cheated on me, with my best friend”
“Yeah... yeah I did hear, look, Y/n, I know it probably won’t mean much but he really doesn’t deserve you and he isn’t worth your tears” he said calmly, placing his thumb on my cheek and gently brushed away the tears that I had no idea were slowly falling from my eyes, “by the sounds of it, he sounds like a dick and you were way too good for him” I laughed in response, “I’m being serious, Y/n, you’re gorgeous and kind and funny and insanely talented! I know it’s hard but you shouldn’t let a guy like that get to you...”
“Yeah I know... but he and I were together for so long, it just makes me feel like everything was a lie y’know? And like I can’t truly be loved by anyone” I admitted, hearing this Charlie stood up in front of me and held his hands out, “what...?” I questioned, he beckoned me to stand up before pulling me in for a hug,
“You? You can’t truly be loved? Y/n you’re one of the most lovable people I’ve ever met, everyone loves you here... I know that’s not the type of love you meant but trust me on this okay? You can very easily be loved” I pulled out of the hug slightly and Charlie lightly placed his hands on my face, looking deep into my eyes, he smiled slightly to himself causing me to become shy and look down, Charlie used his index finger to lift my head back up by my chin ever so gently, “who wouldn’t want to fall in love with you?”

Let Me Help You
Prologue to ‘Expecting’
Summary: Erik and his girl out on a date and Erik’s being his usual freaky self. *Inspired by this picture*
Tumblr media
Warnings: cursing, some touchy feeling freaky shit😙
Word count: 2329
A/N: this is my first ever imagine, feel free to leave comments, things I should maybe work on, I appreciate it😙😙 also i used myself as inspiration for eriks girls so that’s where most of her appearance details came from 😭 Just another note, i edited this and replaced ‘Y/N’ with my name bc i want this to be apart of a series thingy im putting together.
                                ……………………………………...
“Come on girl, damn!” Erik shouted for the umpteenth time.
“I’m coming, shit! This room is a damn mess, I can’t find my jacket. Jesus!” Samantha yelled from their bedroom.
“Don’t give me attitude, little girl, that’s all your shit in there. I told you to stop buying shit you don't need.” he chided.
“Whatever! Big ass head,” she replied.
“I heard that!” he laughed, shaking his head.
Erik and his girl, Samantha, have been together for a little over 3 years. They met at a local nightclub in downtown Oakland. It was a Friday night, Samantha was out celebrating a friend's birthday while Erik and his boys were celebrating the end of a busy ass week. Erik scanned the bar while sipping on his drink of choice, Hennessy, when his gaze fell upon Samantha. She caught his eye, to say the least, mostly because of her tight, bright red mid-length dress that accentuated every dip and curve her shapely body had to offer. The slit of the dress just high enough to have Erik salivating at the sight of her soft, pillowy thighs.  Her dark, curly shoulder-length hair was fluffed to perfection and bounced with every step she made.
He was mesmerized, not wanting to look away. The more he stared the more he noticed about her, the snake eyes piercing that poked out whenever she licked her full lips, the butterfly tattoo on her left foot, her ass jiggling in that tight ass dress. ‘She definitely got no panties on’ he thought, biting his lip. His eyes scanned her body once more, making their way from her legs to her face just in time for them to lock eyes. She looked him up and down and shot him a smirk in which he reciprocated, flashing the golds in his mouth. She shook her head with a slight smile and continued her path to the bar. At that moment he knew, she was gonna be his even if he had to get on his knees and beg. Boy did she make him work for it.
Erik still thinks about it sometimes, how Samantha made him prove he really wanted to be with her and not just fuck her life up.
“I just wanna know if you're actually for real like you’re not gonna hit it and quit it. I don’t wanna have to go through that again.” Samantha confessed. She and Erik were sitting in his car, parked in the empty parking lot of Samantha’s favorite fast food joint.
“If I wasn't for real I wouldn't be here right now. I told you I'll do whatever to prove it to you. I just want to show you how a real man can take care of you. Don’t let past relationships block your blessings. Let me bless you, girl.” he finished, pinching her cheek. She smiled sweetly and leaned in for a kiss. Their lips crashed, moving in sync against each other. They pulled away, both sporting the cheesiest smiles. “Big ass head.” Erik laughed pushing Samantha’s head away.
“Hey! Rude.” Samantha scolded playfully.
Erik was scrolling through twitter laughing occasionally at some dumb tweets he saw when he heard footsteps descending from the staircase. He snapped his head towards the sound and saw his girl in all her glory. He looked her up and down and groaned internally. She wore black biker shorts that stopped in the middle of her thick thighs, a black spaghetti strap crop top, a jean jacket and a pair of red Jordan 1s. He gave her one more look before speaking, “You’re lucky you look so damn good or else I’d be telling you off ‘bout how long you took getting ready.” His eyes never left her as she walked up to him and put her hands on his chest. He couldn't resist the urge to reach around and grab a handful of her ass, groaning as he did so. “Damn, baby,” he shook his head and started placing sloppy kisses on her neck, “so soft.” He bit her neck, causing a fit of giggles to erupt from his girl.
“Okay stop, you be doing too much,” she moaned as he continued kissing and sucking on her neck, “we’ll never make it out the house at the rate you're going.” Samantha exclaimed.
“Aight aight, I’ll chill for now. But when we get back home your ass is gonna get it.” he finished giving her ass a hard smack.
“Ow! Babe!” Samantha yelped rubbing her butt to stop the stinging.
                                 ……………………………………...
A comfortable silence fell over the car as they listened to whatever song was on the radio. The pair were on their way to a new arcade that opened up in their area a few weeks ago. They had everything from pool tables, air hockey, old school arcade games, pinball machines, even TVs with a few different consoles, you name it. Samantha was the one who suggested it, she loved arcades. Erik took her to Dave and Buster’s for their first date, needless to say, that was one of the best dates Samantha’s ever had.
Samantha looked to the driver’s side admiring the man next to her. She was too lost in thought to notice the glance he threw her way. “What?” he questioned, smiling as Samantha snapped back to reality.
“Hm?” she hummed.
“What you looking at, girl?” he asked, looking at her once more.
“Oh, nothing.”  she grinned.
“Mmhm,” he replied playfully. She giggled and looked out her window.
The last 15 minutes of the car ride went by fast. They pulled up to the place, hearing the music already. Erik hopped out of the car and jogged to Samantha’s side to open her door. She got out and immediately grabbed Erik’s hand before walking the short distance to the arcade entrance. Grabbing the door handle, Erik guided Samantha into the arcade but not before giving her ass a tap. Samantha looked back flashing a sexy smile and a wink, Erik biting his lip in response.
The pair looked around the establishment in amazement, taking in all the different games scattered throughout the place. The arcade was lit by many bright and colorful neon signs on the wall. “Babe, this is so cool!” Samantha exclaimed as they walked up to the front desk. Erik smiled at her childlike demeanor. Erik’s eyes found the pool tables immediately, he was a pro at pool. Samantha, on the other hand, was not, and Erik couldn’t wait to whoop her ass in a couple of games. “Ooh girl, you ready to get your ass beat in pool?” he asked grabbing the back of Samantha’s neck. She rolled her eyes and muttered a ‘whatever’ as she removed his hand. “What’s up, guys! How are you tonight?” the employee at the front desk asked enthusiastically.
“Good” they both said in unison.
“Alright, guys its gonna be $8.50 per person per hour, and just letting you know we close in about two and a half hours,” she said.
“That’s fine,” Erik started, reaching into his pocket for his wallet, “we’ll pay for the two hours.” he finished handing the employee his card.
“Alright, you’re all set, have fun guys!”
“Thank you!” Samantha shouted over the loud music before running off further into the arcade. Erik laughed trying to keep up with his girl. He looked around trying to find games they can play while they wait for an open pool table. “Baby lets play this one,” Erik said pointing in the direction of a two-player shooting game, typical Erik.
“Its on baby boy.” Samantha smirked giving him a smack on his backside.
                                ……………………………………...
“Damn, why are you so good at every game? That’s not fair.” Samantha pouted looking up at Erik’s smiling face.
“I’m not good at every game, you just suck,” he whispered in her ear.
“Stop being mean, E.” she whined pushing him away.
“Okay okay I’m sorry, let’s go play a few rounds of pool while we still can.”
“You know I don’t know how to play pool.” Samantha groaned throwing her head back.
“I’ll teach you, baby girl, don’t worry.” Erik started setting up the game, placing the balls in the triangle. Samantha was busy picking a pool stick when Erik came up behind her and gripped her ass. “Boy back up,” she uttered trying not to let his wandering hands get to her.
“Oh I’m sorry I was trying to grab a pool stick,” he lied reaching around her and grabbing a stick, “all this ass was in my way, my bad.”
“Yeah okay, lying ass. Let’s hurry up and get this game over with, you know how you get when we play pool. You don’t ever shut up about how good you are, annoying as hell.” she grimaced in annoyance at Erik’s cocky smirk.
“I can’t help it ma. I’m just too good,” Erik circled around the table, “I’ll break.” He leaned over the edge of the table, pulled the pool stick back and hit the cue ball causing the colored balls to scatter around the table. He already got 2 balls in, “Alright I’ll play stripes, you play solids,” he said before moving to the other side of the table “go ahead ma.”  Samantha moved closer to the table and leaned over, holding the stick in her right hand. She got into position, angling her body so hopefully, she’ll get a ball in. She pulled the pool stick back but when she went to hit the cue ball, she missed. She groaned getting into position again, but she couldn’t get it right. “Ugh, I can’t hit it,” she exclaimed looking up at her man to find him smirking at her failed attempts.
“Let me help you.” he offered walking up to her right side. He showed her the correct way to hold the stick and hit the cue ball. “Alright, you got it?” he asked moving to her opposite side.
“Yeah, I think so,” Samantha hesitated, “alright let’s see.” she finished getting ready to hit the cue ball. Just as she was about to go for it, she felt a large hand roaming around her backside. She stopped her movements, looking back at the hand then looked up at the culprits face. They locked eyes and she raised a brow, his hands still roaming and gripping her soft flesh. “Wassup?” he questioned as if he was doing nothing wrong.
“Uhmm, do you mind?” she snorted.
“Nah, go ahead ma,” he answered, hands still wandering. She scoffed, shaking her head trying to ignore the man next to her. She aimed the stick once more, took a deep breath, and hit the cue ball. To her surprise, she actually got one of the solid balls in. Samantha’s jaw dropped in surprise and she did a little happy dance. Erik smiled and shook his head, “Look at you, see all you needed was a little motivation.” he said.
“You call that motivation, you perv?” Samantha asked raising her brows.
“You know you liked that shit.” Erik pulled Samantha closer to him and assaulted her neck with sloppy wet kisses.
“Erikkk, ewww my necks all wet,” she whined trying to push his head away.
“Chill girl,” he said in between kisses, “lemme mark my territory.” he started sucking extra hard on her neck.
“Boy, I am not your territory, back up before I put hands on you.” Samantha threatened playfully. Erik looked at her with a fake hurt expression and she smirked.
“You cold, ma,” he responded, wiping the imaginary tears in his eyes.
Samantha giggled before speaking, “Okay babe cmon, let’s finish before they close. I’m feeling real confident that imma beat you for once.” she smirked moving to the side as Erik got into position.
“Yeah okay, keep dreaming lil’ one,” he muttered, going his turn.
                                   ……………………………………...
“Oh em gee, I can’t believe I actually beat you for the first time,” Samantha babbled while Erik followed behind her, both of them walking through the parking lot headed towards Erik’s car. Erik rolled his eyes in annoyance, “You only won because I got the potted the 8 ball, if it wasn’t for that you’d be crying like you always do. You got lucky.” he spoke rolling his eyes.
“Lucky? Nah I didn’t get lucky,” she got on her tippy toes and leaned in close to his ear, “you just suck.” she gave him a quick peck on his cheek and continued her path to the car. She smiled and shook her head as she heard Erik behind her mocking her words.
“You’re such a baby, E. you can dish it but you can’t take it, shaking my damn head.” they stopped in front of the car and Samantha turned around to face Erik. He had a scowl on his face, his full bottom lip poking out.
“Aww my baby, come here pooh,” Erik walked into her open arms and she grabbed the sides of his face, “you know I love you, daddy.”
“You not acting like it.”
“I’ll make it up to you,” she said kissing on his jaw, her hands making their way down his body.
“How?” he asked, a slight smirk on his lips,
“Take me home and I’ll show you, baby.” she flashed an innocent smile, batting her eyelashes while rubbing on his dick.
“Get your ass in the car before I take you right here,” Erik warned looking at her with flared nostrils.
“Okay daddy,” she winked walking to the passenger side of the car, swaying her thick hips a little bit just to tease him. She got in, pulling the door closed behind her, Erik threw his head back, “What am I gonna do with this girl?’ he asked himself before smiling and getting in the car.

CHANCE ENCOUNTER//MARK TUAN X Y/N
Description: Walking into the night shift at the hospital proves to keep you on your toes. Nights are left to the universe so you can only hope that tonight will be decent. What happens when you find out that one of your patients is THE Mark Tuan from GOT7? how do you try to deal with the chaos erupting from this chance encounter? and how many times do you have to tell yourself that you love your job?
Genre: fluff, slight cringe
Pairing: Black Fem Reader x Mark Tuan (though I will say there isn’t much description of black characteristics)
Word count: 3.5K
Warning: explicit language, slight heavy kissing
A/n: the way I actually wrote this story initially I included my real name and the friend in the story is actually based off of my irl friend. When I was talking to her about the story she really doesn’t have a bias in Got7 (but still loves the group). So she texted me one of those rapid gifs and told me to take a screenshot and which ever member it was was who was going to be in the story (she wanted anyone but BB. Don’t worry she doesn’t hate him, but homie is a whole different level of crackhead lol). So I wrote about her and the winning member, but she told me not to tell her who it was until I was done writing her sections which honestly made it a lot of fun to write.

Chapter Seven
The conversation keeps proceeds further and constant laughter fills the room. The boys slowly traded places to get their makeup removed, get freshened up, and jump into some more comfier clothing. This meant that JB was all finished and traded places with Youngjae to get freshened up. JB took the seat that was once occupied by Youngjae that sat between Jackson and Jinyoung. He made brief eye contact with me, but then suddenly looked away. Now, I have a problem. Did I do something wrong? We had been talking for a while before now and nothing seemed off. Our conversations were great and he was honestly the second member I spoke to the most following Mark. The brief shock of being able to talk to my bias on a daily basis faded, but I couldn’t help growing a little more feelings for him. The feelings I had previously were from a fan to an idol, but now these feelings were more.
“Hey is there something wrong with JB” I lean over to whisper to Mark
“Nothing that I know, why?” he whispered back
“Well he’s been ignoring me ever since y/f/n and I showed up. I had been talking to him just as much as I have with you before being here and even on the stage he was really energetic and he saw that I was there and made the chance to interact...well kinda...from the stage. So now I’m just really confused if I did something wrong” I commented sadly.
“Maybe he realized how ugly you are up close” Mark sarcastically replied. The reply called for me to hit him on the shoulder and him faking like it hurt. We ended up both laughing at the ridiculousness of his reply. It really felt like we were true friends. While laughing my eyes wandered the room and for a slight second I saw JB give a slight glance towards Mark and I having a laughing fit, but then suddenly look away once he was caught. I mustered up the little courage I had and went to go kick Jackson out of his seat to the right of JB. Of course he looked at me with a pout on losing his seat, but then remembered who my bias was and just gave in.
“Hey” I looked to JB
“Oh, hey” he replied
“How are you? The concert was amazing you all did an amazing job...especially you” I shyly commented
“Really? Thank you! I was genuinely surprised to see you that close to the stage, but it was really cool seeing you in person instead of over facetime” he commented excitedly
“Ok, now I’m confused” I snap back
“W-what?” he looked frazzled
“Let’s go somewhere else to talk please” I sigh
“O-ok” he agreed. We both simultaneously get up and walk towards the door turning heads of staff, members, and y/f/n. y/f/n and I made eye contact and I “eye-splained” what I was doing. Well...hopefully that’s what came across, but she might be thinking we’re going somewhere more private to do the devil’s tango. JB and I leave the room and I search around for somewhere more private where we could talk. After looking around for a few more minutes, I found a backdoor that led to the outside back corner of the venue. I looked around making sure there weren’t any fans that happened to sneak around or anyone else of that matter. I put a little block to keep the door propped in case it’s locked from the outside and turn to JB.
“Ok did I do something wrong or say something wrong” I look to JB
“W-what do you mean?” he replies anxiously
“We’ve been talking perfectly fine before today and even at the concert you seemed perfectly fine. Even going so far as to look me dead in the eye during the chorus to ‘A’”
“Well, you see, I”
“Mark said it’s because you realized how ugly I was in real life, is that true?” I question nervously
“y/n, god no, it’s not that. I- was just taken aback when you came to the dressing room. It was the shock of seeing you in person for the first time. It had my mind backwards”
“I could understand that, sorry I gave you a heart attack” I laughed
“But you ignored me the whole time and avoided making eye contact like you were mad at me so please tell me if I did something wrong” I replied almost begging like.
“You did nothing wrong I swear. Avoiding you, I...I think my mind was made up. Well it was made up before, but seeing you in real life really just sealed it” he said nervously
“W-what did you make your mind up about?”
“My feelings towards you”
“JB, I-”
“y/n...I’ve liked you for so long. Might even say it was around the first time we ever talked, though I wasn’t sure of my feelings then. I just thought you were cute in the beginning” he said with scratching the back of his neck
“I can’t believe this...so during the concert when y’all were performing ‘A’ was that-”
“Yes, it was my confession to you. I’m actually kinda glad you caught that” he said with a nervous laughter
“But why did you glare at me back in the dressing room when you saw Mark and I laughing?”
“I was hesitant confessing to you from the stage because I thought you and Mark were close” he comments
“Of course Mark and I are close, you forget how we met. Even then I’m lucky to be close to you and all the boys”
“y/n that’s not what I meant and you know it. I thought Mark and you were in a secret relationship that he was even keeping away from us or that you had feelings for him or for each other...I don’t know”
“I know what you meant and Mark and I are really just friends. Sometimes I don’t know what goes through his head, but one thing is for sure, my feelings for him are simply amicable”
“So, where does that put me then” JB asks hopefully
“I...think I like you too”
“‘You think?’” he quirked an eyebrow
“My feelings are there for you, but I’m not sure if it’s from me just being a fan or it being more”
“So, does that mean there’s hope for me?”
“Honestly, I don’t think there’s much to hope seeing that my feelings feel like they run deep”
“So...can I?” he questions
“Can you what?”
“Kiss you,” he said. I was shocked. My brain seemed to send out signals before I fully understood what was being asked. I was partially halfway through a nod of my head giving him permission when he leaned down and kissed me. The kiss was soft almost like he wasn’t sure if I actually agreed. When he slowly started moving his lips I reciprocated and that’s when he knew that he didn’t imagine it.
The kiss got deeper and before I knew it our tongues were battling for dominance...he won. What felt like hours was really minutes and we separated to catch our breath. We stared longingly into each other’s eyes in total awe that what actually happened happened. No words were spoken for what felt like forever, but the silence wasn’t awkward. It revealed the true feelings that were never brought up during our long talks and laughing fits.
“Wow” the word that pierced the silence uttered by JB
“Is it safe for me to assume that you feel the same way?” He pondered
“JB if that didn’t prove it I don’t know how else to convince you” I laughed
“I mean, there is something else we could do...you know...just to make sure” he muttered. I thank the heavens that it was dark enough and that, for the millionth time, I was black so a blush wouldn’t be noticed. I look up to JB once more
“JB are you sure?” I ask. He takes a step closer, pinning me against the wall leaving no space for escape,
“Of course, that is if you want to. I don’t want to force you to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with” he says in a sweet voice
“I-I want to” is all I could reply. He leaned back in and our lips touched once more, but the feeling was different. It was like he was savoring every moment, but was holding himself back at the same time. This kiss got deeper and deeper and I slowly felt his hands reach to my chest.
‘Bbbzzzzzz’
‘Bbbzzzzzz’
‘Bbbzzzzzz’
Just like that, the moment was stopped. JB separated his lips from mine in order to answer his phone. I was a bit taken aback that everything was just halted by the vibrations of a cell phone, but I was grateful because I realized where we were and how much trouble we could’ve gotten in if anyone saw us. JB answers his phone with an almost breathless sadness,
“Hey wassup?” He answers. A muffled chattering can be heard from the caller but nothing I could make out.
“Oh, ok, we’re coming back right now” he replies and hangs up.
“What’s wrong?” I ask worriedly
“Nothing Mark was saying the manager was looking for us because we’re about to leave” he says
“Oh~ um ok” I sat a bit saddened. JB walks towards me and picks my chin up,
“Why so sad?” He asks caringly, but I have a feeling I saw a slight smirk.
“Um, nothing, nothing at all” I tried to move, but was kept on the wall.
“y/n, c’mon are you sad that we didn’t finish what we started” he asks slyly
“I- um” I panic. JB leans down by my ear, though unnecessary seeing no one else is around, whispers,
“Don’t worry we can finish later”
~Mark’s POV~
I’m laughing along to the story y/f/n is telling though it was similar to the ones before. To sum it up, y/n getting drunk and saying stupid shit. y/n leans over to me and questions why JB was ignoring her. Of course I didn’t realize this but as her...friend...I felt obligated to reply with something stupid. Of course that led to her hitting me on the shoulder, but it didn’t hurt. We start laughing and when I open my eyes for a moment I thought I saw JB glaring at me, I wonder why? Next thing I see is y/n kicking Jackson out of his seat and him of course looking mad, but budging anyways.
I keep my eyes on both y/n and JB as they’re making some obviously awkward conversation. Next thing I see is both of them getting up to leave and of course that didn’t go unnoticed. The room went slightly quiet, but neither of them turned around. After they left, I switched places with Yugyeom to get my makeup off and change into something comfortable. They both seem to have been gone for a while because I finished up and went to go sit back down. After sitting and enjoying more of y/f/n’s stories (which made me realize how much stupid stuff y/n has gone up too especially with y/f/n) I got up to use the bathroom.
“Yo where you going?” Jackson questions
“Need to pee, be back in a bit” I replied. Jackson shrugs his shoulders and as I leave he says to be safe. That idiot is exhausting sometimes. I leave the room and make my way to the bathroom. After relieving myself, I leave the bathroom, but something catches my eye. It was a cracked door. I walked towards the door and began to get worried that maybe a fan actually snuck in here. As I reached the ajar door, I heard a voice that sounded all too familiar,
“I know what you meant…” I hear y/n say and continue on. So, we really must be good friends in her eyes...funny. I know I shouldn’t be eavesdropping, but I can’t help it. I don’t know why I’m becoming so hopeful about anything. I don’t know what I’m expecting to hear, but I feel like I’ll know when I hear it. I keep on listening when I get a sudden text from the manager saying to meet back at the room because we need to plan out how we’re going to get the girls out of the building. I replied that I got it and that I would be back in a minute.
By the time I started paying attention to the children outside. Oh how I picked the worst time to listen back to the conversation. It was oddly quiet so I decided to take a peek through the cracked door. JB was kissing y/n, my...friend, and she was kissing him back. I really shouldn’t be surprised since I know JB is y/n’s bias and JB asked about her after the surprise facetime call, but why does it hurt to see her… with him? I divert my eyes from the scene outside and make my way back to the dressing area with everyone else. I made it a point to figure out my emotions enough to call JB (though I knew he was busy) so we could devise a plan to leave before walking in the room.
“What is going on with my feelings?” I mumble to myself.
 ~Y/N POV~
I’m dumbfounded. Utterly speechless and yet JB takes the chance to give me a last quick peck before grabbing my hand to walk inside. We separated hands once we saw a staff member coming and it didn't seem like she noticed. We walked side by side with our hands lightly grazing each other until we entered the dressing room. All heads turned as we walked in and faces full of suspicion. Before anyone could ask anything, the manager walked into the room in order to devise a plan on how y/f/n and I could meet back up with the boys. Leaving together could cause major issues and that’s something that is wanted to be avoided.
“So there’s still fans waiting outside to see the boys so we can’t let the girls leave with them” the manager says
“Sorry…” He shyly apologized
“Why apologize? We understand. If there is a side door we could go out of, we could do that...actually I think I might know one” I speak up. JB and I make slight eye contact and I turn away quickly. The interaction did not go unnoticed.
The manager nodded along and y/f/n and I made our exit. We said our goodbyes to the boys and made our way out. I pulled y/f/n towards the exit JB and I took earlier and stopped at the exit. I opened the door slightly and looked around to make sure there wasn’t anyone around. After I gave the coast clear, y/f/n and I walked out and headed towards my car. I get a message from Mark updating us on where to meet. I sent him a reply to confirm I understood. I turned to y/f/n,
“Mark messaged me and said some of the boys decided to head back to the hotel while some decided to go out to a restaurant” I mentioned to her.
“So who went where?” She asked nonchalantly. Oh ok, I see what’s going on here.
“Alright, spill the tea bitch” I said teasingly.
“What?”
“I already know you don’t have a bias in the group so there would be no point in asking who is going where. You would’ve probably just gone with me” I say tauntingly.
“So explain where you’re going?” She said with a smirk
“Wherever JB is” I reply shyly.
“Oooo so are YOU going to spill the tea then? What kind of conversation did y’all have out there?” she asks with a smirk
“Um well I confronted him about why he was avoiding me. Turned out he has feelings for me. He confessed to me during the concert-“ I confess
“Hold up, you didn’t tell me your mans was ignoring you and when did he confess to you during the concert?”
“Oh...that might’ve been Mark I told and do you remember that one part during ‘A’ where JB came to our side of the stage during the chorus? Well that was his confession. When we were talking he was scared he made a mistake because he thought Mark and I have feelings for each other but I convinced him it was completely amicable. So~”
“So~ what?” She side eyed
“I think we’re...you know...a thing” I say with my hands covering my face
“OOOHHHHH BBBIITTCCHHHH” she screamed
“Shhhhh shut up, you’re too loud” I said trying to cover her mouth. She starts laughing, but calms down after a while.
“Well congrats boo, you got yourself a mans and a FOINE one at that” she said laughingly
“Lol thanks, but now for you, I didn’t forget. Spill. The. Tea. Bitch” I demand laughingly
“Well, when I started dishing out your messy moments upon Mark’s request”
“You know I hate both of y’all for that right”
“Love you too bitch” y/f/n winked
“Anyways, I started to go on and on and we were all having a good time. The boys were switching out getting that all ‘boyfriend’ look...aka lookin foine in a pair of sweatpants” she added. I rolled my eyes, but agreed anyway.
“Well after you and JB left, Yugyeom came to sit beside me after switching out with Mark. I greeted him and he just smiled. I didn’t pay him too much mind until he tapped me on the shoulder. I looked at him curious and he asked me my age. It was cute...he was cute. He just seemed so shy, completely opposite of what he’s like on stage, around cameras, around his members, or even around other fans. So I told him my birth year and his ears got really red. He was shocked that I was older than he was. He couldn’t make eye contact with me for a little so, you know me, I decided to tease him a little every now and then. Well I guess my teasing got to him eventually because out of nowhere he grabbed my arm and looked me straight in the eye. He didn’t say anything just...stared. Bitch the goosebumps I felt were close to unmatched. Then he just let my arm go with a smirk and that was it. y/n now you know I’m not into younger guys, but genuinely this boy has me confused and I kinda want to figure him out, ya know?” she continued. At this point we were just sitting in my car talking, letting no stone go unturned about all the events of the night. Looks like we both found someone...funny.
“So you have the hots for the maknae huh?” I say teasingly
“Oh shut up” she replied with the roll of her eyes
“Like you seem to really have an eye for him though. He is taller than you and he is an amazing dancer and has a great personality. Though he is a crackhead most of the time. I mean, apart from trying to figure out what he’s about, why don’t you shoot your shot too?” I say meaningfully
“Ah~ I don’t know honestly”
“I mean what kind of harm would be done? He wouldn’t get your attention in the first place if he wasn’t curious about you now would he? And also, imagine actually dating him and I’m together with JB so~”
“So what?”
“Bitch we get our own personal Jus2 performance now wouldn’t we” I reply with a joking smirk
“Ooooo you right” she replies with a sudden understanding
“But honestly get to know him out of wanting to please, not just because of what I said as a joke” I say
“Yeah I know, he’s just really fascinating”
“Well there it is...and Yug is going back to the hotel by the way. Something about ordering food and just having a little self drinking time” I replied. Her eyes had a glint and I already knew her thoughts.
“Let me do you one better,” I continued. I get out my phone and open Kakao to Yug and mine’s chat.
“Yo fetus” I message
“y/n, I’m older than you, why can’t you treat me better?” he replies with a crying emote
“Because you’re a lovable crackhead that’s still the baby of the group hahaha”
“Hmph I hate you…”
“Well you won’t hate me after I tell you a certain someone was just talking about you” I reply with a smirk emote. It takes a little while for a reply, I guess he caught on.
“Oh…” is all he replies
“Well do you want me to give her your contact so you can keep talking? I’m not the type to give away contacts without asking permission”
“WAIT REALLY?!” he replies suddenly and excitedly
“Of course, so I’m taking that as a yes”
“Yes please” he replies. I look to y/f/n who is caught up in her social media feeds to notice what I had been up to. I send Yug’s profile to her and I know she received it by a slight gasp of ‘bitch’ coming from the passenger side. I turn to her,
“A Mr.Kim seemed a little excited to talk to you again” I sly
“Did he now? Well ok then...off we go”

I FOUND LOVE
Tumblr media
member: felix lee
genre: summer love au!
words: 3.0k
summary: summer love can hurt a lot in the end, but it’s also the most fun. heartbreaks are worth it when the future comes.
a/n: I named this au after oh my girl’s song “I found love”. it’s a good song I really like, check it out if you want to :) hope you enjoy the au!
you used to travel for a couple weeks, but not one month or so
just quick trips to breathe fresh air and know new places
this time, your aunt invited you to visit her during summer on sydney, australia, where she had been living for years now
you only visited her once, when you were younger, but you didn’t remember much
you packed up your stuff, clothes to spend the whole month and got into the plane
sydney was as beautiful as ever
on summer, the blue sea looked brighter and the sun shined strongly
your aunt came to pick you up at the airport and on your way home you payed attention to every single place trying to bring back memories
“I’m happy to be back”, you said to your aunt
“and we’re happy you’re finally back. how many years have been since you came here?”
“I don’t have an idea...”
your cousins were there too and they guided you to the guest room
it was pretty nice and you finally remembered the last you were there
the big window looked like the frame for that beautiful view
it was still morning, and you couldn’t sleep on the plane, so you just took a long nap to recover after the flight
“wakey, wakey”, your aunt said when you came downstairs
“I think I slept way too much”
it was about 4pm
“that’s okay. the kids are going out to see the sunset, why don’t you go too?”
“hm, nice! I’ll get ready”
“but eat first, ok? you’ve been sleeping for hours!”
you made a sandwich with anything you found on the fridge
and then you and your cousins left
you guys drove to a beach close by
the sky was so pretty, it was the first thing you noticed when you arrived there
it was a mix of orange, yellow, pink, and the sun was starting to set
the golden hour is a blessing and you didn’t notice how much you enjoyed the feeling of being sunkissed during that hour until that moment
your cousins found some of their friends and they went to talk to them
you didn’t care about being alone for a while because staying still, sitting down there, watching the sunset was enough
golden hour was definitely your favourite
the weather was good, so you just stood there, sitting on the sand
your eyes were closed, still you could see the brightness
but it suddenly became dark
did the sun set this fast?
you opened your eyes and there was someone standing right in front of you, looking at the sea, holding a surfboard
the first thing that came to your mind was stand up and sit somewhere else
but why? you were there first
the boy was talking to someone else, so you were kinda shy to ask him to move
“hey, excuse me”, where did the courage come from?
he turned to you, his friend too
he raised his eyebrows as if he was caught by surprise
“you guys are blocking the sun”
he looked at his friend and they giggled
“I’m sorry, I thought you wouldn’t mind”
you laughed, sarcastic, don’t giving him the attention he was seeking for
he moved to the side, with his friend
and both of them sat relatively close to you
you stood there undisturbed
but then your cousins came back
“we brought you ice cream, but it’s already starting to melt”, she said
“oh thanks!”
the surfboard guy and his friend looked at you guys and then your cousins smiled
“hey, felix and hyunjin!”, your other cousin said
“wassup, mate!”, felix and hyunjin got up and greeted them
you were there, sat on the sand, watching that scene from below
“y/n, this are felix and hyunjin”
you nodded, “hi, again”
“felix lives in our neighborhood”
“by the way, can I come home with you guys?”, he asked directly
felix sounded like he had familiarity with your cousins and it was reciprocal
“y/n is the one driving today”, your cousin said
felix looked at you
he was against the light the sun was shining behind him
his hair was some blondish red hair so the light fitted perfectly
“so, can I go with you guys?”, his accent was pretty strong
“of course”
“great, thanks”, he said to you and then turned to your cousins, “do you guys want to learn some surfing movements?”
you finished your melted ice cream while watching them
and then went to walk for a while
that beach was perfect
the skies, the sea, everything was beautiful and you finally felt it
you missed australia so much
when you finally got back, your cousins, the felix guy and the hyunjin one were all in a group of people talking and laughing
felix saw you from afar, since he was the one looking at you when you were approaching
it was already dark, but the beach wasn’t getting any less crowded
“do you wanna go home now, y/n?”, your cousin came to you
“I’m okay, if you guys want to keep on chatting, I’ll walk a little bit more”, you smiled at her
her brother and her were having a good time, so you didn’t want to be the annoying one on your first day there
“we’re okay, we’re all meeting tomorrow morning to surf”
“you’re invited too, y/n”, hyunjin said
not that you didn’t notice before, but he was very good looking
“I think I’ll pass”, you smiled
“are you scared of the waves, y/n?”, felix voice was deep but he was smiling
he didn’t look old at all, how did his voice sound like a grown up man?
“not at all, felix. are you willing to teach me?”
lol
didn’t know where that came from, but you said that
the other people around made some noise, making fun of him
“come tomorrow, then”, he said
“let’s go home, kiddos”, you took the car keys out of your pocket
it felt good to compete with him
even though you didn’t know if it was okay, since you both just met
but he didn’t seem annoyed at all
he played along very well
your triumphal exit would be perfect, but you forgot he was coming with you guys
and for some unknown reason
your sweet cousins sat on the back seats
so felix sat on the front with you
you weren’t uncomfortable, but there was some implicit pressure
he put the seat belt and looked at you, with a sassy cute smile
you looked away trying to concentrate
you had to pay special attention to the traffic, since sydney’s could be a little different
the route wasn’t long, tho, so in a couple minutes you were home without having to go through a lot of cars
“thanks, guys, see you tomorrow”, felix said when he jumped out of the car
your cousins said bye to him
then he looked at you
“goodbye, y/n. see you tomorrow?”
“that’s a good question”, you answered without a lot of enthusiasm
"I’m going, bye”, he pointed at his house
you just nodded and got into your aunt’s house
your summer just started and there was so much you were excited about
but at that moment, you just wanted to sit at the couch and watch some netflix with your family
ok, best night of sleep everrr
you slept like a baby and woke up in great mood
“good morning, sunshine”, your aunt said when you showed up at the kitchen
“morning”
“you look happy”
“I slept so well! that bed is seriously from heavens”
“I knew you’d like it”, she handed you some fruits and yogurt
“omg I thought I was late”, your cousin were still sleepy
“late for what, sweetie?”, your aunt asked her
“I’m going to the beach today”, she asked
“will your brother go with you? I’ll have to wake him up, then”
“yeah yeah, only this one here will stay home”, she pointed at you
“why don’t you go with them, y/n? when you came here for the first time, you even started to learn how to surf”
“are you serious? why don’t I remember this kind of stuff...”
“anyways, I’ll get ready and go”, your cousin said, mouth full of food
“okay, I’m coming with you”
she jumped in excitement and ran to her room
you weren’t even late, but almost everyone was already there when you guys arrived
the hyunjin guy, other people
and oh, of course, the felix one
you just didn’t want to look at him so he wouldn’t give you the “oh-oh, look who’s here!” look
plus, everyone had their own surfboard
except you, of course
they were already getting into the water and you just put your earphones to relax under the sun
a few minutes later, a soaked felix shows up by your side
you immediately take off your earphones
“so, did you come just to listen to music while we have fun?”
“excuse me? I’m also having fun”
“come on, y/n, let me teach you how to surf”, he offered his hand
“what?”, you laughed, “I wasn’t born for this”
“well, we all are. cause it’s about practice too”
you looked at him
“why do you care...”, you asked softly so it wouldn’t come out rude
he smiled
“cause you’re nice. and I like that”, he got up, “come on, let’s learn”
you could ignore and let him stand there
but you didn’t
cause deep down you wanted to go have fun with them
and if felix was willing to teach you, then why not?
so you grabbed his hand and let him bring you up
felix was nice
his big smile when you did the wrong thing made you smile too
oh and he had freckles
you didn’t notice before
he was handsome
there was something about him that exceeded the level of physical beauty
he was likeable and in a short amount of time you felt that
“oh yes, yes! you’re doing great!”, he said when you did it right for the first time
because of the incentive, you did it right again, and again...
“ok, you can go into the water already”
“what?”, you asked
“don’t you wanna try? oh, you don’t know how to swim?”, he seemed worried
“I swim, it’s just that I’m not confident about being on top of this”, you pointed to the surfboard
“come on, you’re good. I’m here with you, let’s go”
for a moment you even forgot the whole group that was also there
because felix was paying so much attention to you and so focused on teaching you that, for a moment, the beach was empty for you
but it was actually pretty crowded
you went to sydney to have fun, take a break from your busy life and relax
that’s why you were really enjoying it
you were out and about with your cousins
went shopping with your aunt
visited places around
and, of course, started to go surfing with your cousin’s crew
which included felix
the way he talked to you was different
but you couldn’t tell if you were misunderstanding
because he was so nice to everybody
he was always there to everyone
so maybe what he did to you was just him being himself?
it was confusing, but who cares
you’d be coming home in a couple weeks, after all
after you all hang out with the crew, you were driving home with your cousins and felix, who lived close by
your cousins quickly got out the car
but felix was still there, doing something on his phone
so you looked at him, waiting for him to leave
“we are already home”
“oh”, he looked around, “sorry”
you both took off the seat belt
he was already opening the door and then stopped
“y/n...”
dang it, what was it now...
“hm?”, you acted like you weren’t even paying attention
“do you wanna go out? like, with me?”
eh?
he was pretty straightforward
“where?”
what kind of answer is this???
“hm, I don’t know”, he smiled
for the first time he was shy
and that was cute
“okay”
“are you... accepting?”
you smiled
“yeah, let’s go anywhere”
his beautiful eyes expressed the feeling his lips couldn’t say
“tomorrow?”
you nodded
“see ya”, he got out the car
looking at yourself in the rearview mirror
you couldn’t say if it was the sunkissed skin
or the moment that just happened
but your cheeks were blushing
next day
you dressed up nicely, but not too much
it was a pretty sunny day
and very hot
felix told you to meet him in an ice cream shop close to the beach
you started to think it wasn’t a date cause you both didn’t even go together
but it somehow made you feel less nervous
the sun was shining so bright, everybody was having a nice time at the beach
when you caught sight of the ice cream shop, you started to walk towards there
the big glass wall definitely made felix see you
and you saw him too
you both couldn’t help but smile at the same time
ugh, his smile was the cutest!
the way his lips widened when he saw you
all his face was smiling and you felt yours heating up
maybe the weather, but maybe because of him
you got there and he came to you
“hey”, you said, sitting down
“hi, you look... gorgeous”, he looked at you
“don’t make me shy”, you glanced at him
“so, do you want ice cream?”
“yeah, definitely, it’s so hot outside”
“hmm... I have a place to show you. but if it’s too hot outside we can...”
“what? it’s not hot at all”, you joked
he laughed
whenever he laughed, your heart felt something
it was good to say something funny and make him smile
so you both bought your ice creams
getting out of the ice cream shop, the thermal shock was real
inside the shop was cool but outside it was very hot
you just kept walking while eating your melted ice cream
you two were walking and talking and observing the place
being with him felt light
you laughed easily and he had a nice way of speaking and noticing things
“so you’re going back in a few days, right?”
“it feels so close when you say 'few days’, but yes”, you looked down
“I’m sure we still have time left”, he let the words come out and posed there with his innocent face
you just wanted to hug him at that moment cause dang it
how could a boy look like an adult and a baby at the same time?
he really knew how to be cute when he wanted to
“don’t look at me like this, but of course I want to spend more time with you”, you said
nothing to lose here, right?
“we’re here”
finally found the place he wanted to show you
it was a more private part of the beach
some rocks around and waves crashing quietly
wow
the fresh air
you noticed felix getting closer, hands on his pocket, a little bit shy as you could tell
“why did you bring me here?”, you asked, turning to him
he looked at the horizon
“I want you to remember this when you go back home”
“this?”
“this place. and me.”
the wind hit your faces
your hair got messed up and he tried to take it out from your face so he could look at you completely
“you know what... meeting you was so unexpected. but it was the highlight of my trip”
he smiled
“it’s not like your going away tomorrow, but I wasn’t sure if we would have more time alone”, he said, “and I needed to spend time with you. only with you”
“and we’re here”
“yeah, we’re here”
your voices were getting lower as you got closer to each other
“y/n”
“yes?”
“can I...”, his fingers touched your cheeks, close to your lips
you didn’t wait
you just kissed him
his pink colored lips felt just like cherry
soft, sweet
you knew he waited for that by the way he kissed you
and of course, he knew how much you waited too
waiting until now to finally let the feelings come out could have been a waste of time, but not if you think of it as a beginning
it didn’t matter if you were going back home in a few days
you wouldn’t forget him
even if you didn’t feel the same when you visit sydney again
even if he didn’t
thinking about the future makes us all so anxious, so let it be
the world stopped for you two
time stopped for that moment
his little smiles while kissing you were obvious
you couldn’t help but do the same
the present with felix was your present
no need to think about how to deal with future
“does any other thing matter right now?”, he asked you
still very close
“no”, you smiled at him
“hey, y/n”, he stroked your hair, “I won’t forget this”
“what about this?”, you kissed his lips again
you both were too immersed in that kiss
you didn’t want to get out of your own little world in a special place in the middle of that beach
“be with me tomorrow”, he gave you a little kiss, “and after tomorrow”, another one
“yes”, you giggled
“hm... you taste like vanilla”
“it was just the ice cream”
“come on, it was good”
“ya, felix!”, you slapped his arm, joking
you both held hands and started to walk
letting the water reach your feet
and playing like two kids around there
“y/n”
“what?”
“catch me if you can”
“are you kidding?”
“catch me if you want a kiss”
“well, I won’t run after you”, you crossed your arms and acted as if you didn’t care
when he stopped running and came back to you, it was your chance
“you catch me!”, you started to run fast
he did the same so he caught you
by your waist
and he pulled you inside a hug where you could see his face so closely
and again, the end of summer break didn’t matter
it would come, but it didn’t matter
not at that moment
not when you were with felix

When She Sees Me
wassup we interrupt your regularly scheduled angst for a dose of maragon fluff have fun y’all hope you enjoy it it’s a little old so it’s not as good but i still like it!!!
trigger warnings- none that i can think of, but if anything here could count as a trigger please tell me!
Catherine had barely recognized her when they walked past each other in the hall. In fact, it took Anne calling out to Maria for her to recognize her.
“Yo, Maria, what’s with the new look?” Catherine turned around as Boleyn called out to her cru- friend, Catherine chasticised herself for a second, before stopping it; she knew that it wasn’t worth it, to ignore these feelings-, and yet it took her a little to actually spot her. Catherine frowned to herself as Boleyn and Maria started talking, well out of earshot- “new look” felt like an understatement, considering she looked like a new person entirely.
Her once long hair, with its red dyed tips, was now cut neatly around shoulder length. Her usual flannel-and-jeans combination had been switched for a light pink dress, and her beany was completely gone. Her make up had, as expected, also changed, from a usual black and dark grey color scheme to a gentle pink and red.
In other words, she was just like every other popular girl. And it’s not that she didn’t look pretty, she did, but she also looked… common. In which there was nothing wrong, but what made her, herself, was gone. Catherine was forced to wonder exactly where that had gone.
But it wasn’t until after classes that she got the chance to actually talk to her about it. She was in the auditorium, gathering her things after a Debate Club meeting, when she heard the door open. She looked up the rows of seats, only to see none other than Maria herself.
“Oh hey!” She called with her usual cheerful smile as she rushed down the stairs to meet her, and Catherine was glad to see she retained her usual excitement. She gave her a small smile and a wave in return. “We’ve barely talked today, I thought you were avoiding me.”
“Not at all. Sorry if it came across as such.” Catherine cleared up with a polite smile.
“No biggie!” Maria paused for a minute, and it was clear there was a new found tension in the air, something Catherine had trouble seeing through. “Um, what do you think? Of the, “new look,” as Anne puts it, I mean.” Maria giggled nervously.
“Well, it’s certainly different. More colourful, I suppose you could say. But it looks good on you.” Catherine replied as she closed her bag, watching Maria sit down beside the chair where it was.
“Does it fit me?” Maria asked, and at that Catherine found herself at an impasse. She could tell her the truth, that it really didn’t, but that would hurt her, and as much as usually Catherine wouldn’t care for that, with Maria, Catherine often found herself doing her best to not hurt her. Or she could lie and say it did, but that could lead to rumors, and the last thing Maria needed was the school’s gossipers after her.
“Well, it is weird seeing you outside your usual style, but it’s probably just a matter of time.” Catherine eventually replied, sitting beside her and putting her bag at her feet.
“Ah.” Maria replied, staring at her knees for a moment before looking back up. “You know, you can just tell me if you don’t like it. I want your honest opinion, not compliments, although I do appreciate those.” She continued with a soft laugh.
“Maria, I’m being honest. It’s not normal, but just because I’m not used to seeing you like this. Doesn’t mean it looks bad.” Catherine reinforced, but even she could tell Maria wasn’t buying it.
“Yeah. Right.” Maria chuckled dryly, then stood up. “Cath, if you’re gonna baby me, then you can cut that shit out right now, because I am not gonna put up with it.”
Catherine stared at her for a moment, then stood up as well. “Alright then. I think it looks terrible. Not the outfit itself, the outfit is good, but it looks terrible on you specifically.” She huffed softly. “Satisfied?”
Maria stared at her for a moment, then looked away, screwed her eyes shut, then opened them again and looked back up. “And why do you care, anyways? It’s not like it’s any of your business!”
“Oh for fu- Because this isn’t the Maria I know, and it certainly isn’t the one I fell in love with!” It was one of those times where, had Anne been there, Catherine was sure she’d murmur “Oooo, she angry…” to herself- something that happened fairly often when Catherine lost her control over what she said. Thankfully, Anne wasn’t there, because that little heat-of-the-moment confession would’ve earned her a week of teasing all on it’s own. Hell, it had been enough to silence the both of them.
“You- you’re in love with me?” Maria eventually whispered, and Catherine quickly turned around.
“I have to go.” She stated simply, but before she could grab her bag, Maria grabbed her wrist.
“No you don’t. You’re not avoiding your feelings this time, missy.” She stated calmly, more of an order than anything else, and although with anyone else she would have ignored them, she listened, sitting down where she had once been, with Maria sitting beside her shortly after.
“So, you love me?” Maria asked, leaning forward slightly and looking at her. Catherine nodded, still staring at the ground, and Maria glanced at the ground herself. “That’s kind of a sudden revelation. Nice to know I was right though.”
“Excuse me?” Catherine perked up at this, looking at her.
“Well, yeah. You act like you’re fine, and everyone else might think so too, but I’ve known you since kindergarten. I noticed.” Maria explained, then chuckled, a small blush crossing her cheeks. “To be honest, I’m glad to know it’s mutual.” She added quietly, barely a murmur yet louder than an explosion.
And by God did it feel like an explosion once Catherine processed those words. She likes me back. That was all she could think about, and so she made it a point of taking a second to recollect her thoughts.
“I understand if you don’t want to be in a relationship though.” Maria added. “Sometimes you’re just, not ready.” “No, no, I do, it’s just-” Catherine sighed softly, fingers tapping rhythmically on the armrest of her seat. “I’ve never been in a relationship before. Besides Henry, but- he doesn’t really count. And I don’t want to make things awkward.” She eventually muttered. If she couldn’t speak to Maria about her insecurities, she couldn’t tell anyone. But she could speak to her, and she did. For Maria’s sake, as well as her own.
“Well, neither have I. We can just, go for it. See where it gets us. And if you wanna stop, we can. All you gotta do is talk to me.” Maria suggested, and Catherine smiled gently at her.
“Well, I suppose you’re right.” She murmured, and Maria perked up at this. She leaned over to give her a hug, which Catherine gladly reciprocated, and even after pulling away they stayed close to each other, like there was something else to be talked about.
Catherine cupped her cheek, running her thumb down to join with the rest of her fingers. “Can I, um…”
Maria laughed at her hesitation, then nodded. “Go ahead, you big dork.”
“Am not.” She mumbled in reply, before gently pulling her in for a kiss.
It was light. As she expected, for some reason. And calm. It sent a bunch of emotions sparking inside of Catherine’s mind, but she decided to ignore them for the time being and focus on the beautiful girl sitting in front of her, kissing her.
Maria was the first to pull away, albeit reluctantly. “That was… wow.”
“Agreed.” Catherine murmured. And then she sighed. “So, what are we?”
Maria hesitated, looking away for a moment. “I’d… like to be able to call you my girlfriend, if that’s alright with you.”
Catherine giggled, which happened rarely, all things considered, so Maria staring didn’t faze her much. “That was going to be my suggestion, so I am perfectly fine with that.”
Maria laughed, then hugged her again, resting her head on her chest. “So, we’re dating?” Catherine nodded, and Maria smiled contently and snuggled closer. “‘Dating’. I like the sound of it.”
Catherine looked at her fondly. She’d been scared of letting her in, of letting Maria see her for who she was- just a mess barely contained behind a well practiced facade. But it had gone well. She was happy about that, as much as she wasn’t one for outwardly show it.
“This style was Anne’s idea, you know?” Catherine tilted her head slightly, and Maria giggled- Jesus, she sounded adorable. “Yeah- she said it’d get you to notice me. I’m going back to my usual style tomorrow though. Kind of sucks that I have to let my hair grow again, but I like it like this as well.”
“You could’ve just said something, you know?”
“Ah, yes, because Miss Catherine “Was About To Leave After Confessing To Me” of Aragon would listen.” Maria replied sarcastically, then sighed. “But in all seriousness, I was… scared. That you’d think I’m not good enough, not pretty enough, not mature enough. Just, not enough in general. I was scared of what you actually think when you saw me.”
Oh. Well, that was something. “Mi princesa, you need not worry yourself over that. You’re more than enough for me, because you’re you. We’re polar opposites, we help balance each other out. That’s a good thing.”
Maria looked up, then just smiled and snuggled closer. “Muchas gracias, mi cielo.” Catherine smiled softly at the pet name- it meant “my heaven,” if memory served her right. She held her tighter, taking a glance at her wrist to check the time before deciding that heading home could wait a little longer, especially now that test season was over.
“De nada, mi sirenita.”

Things Overheard
So the other day when I asked for Alyanette prompts and got some (this encompasses 2 of the 3 I got- the third I will work on this week!) I loved my responses quite a lot and went a lil overboard. So I wrote a 10k one-shot! It’s a little too long for my tastes to post on tumblr, so I’ll post the first little snippet here under the cut. COME READ THE STORY ON AO3.
"No, Alya could never have scheduled falling in love with Marinette, even if she tried living by a schedule. She couldn’t schedule it because she didn’t fall in love any one day, any one moment. It wove its way into her life far more subtly than their fast friendship had; her feelings developed from friendship to more through sleepovers and conversations and jokes and over cantaloupe. .... With each and every fragment of Marinette’s soul, with each day Alya knew her, she fell more in love."
Alya is in love with her straight best friend and has long accepted that's just the way things are- she's in love with Marinette, and Marinette will never reciprocate. At least, that's what Alya thought, until she overhears Marinette talking to Chat Noir on one of his midnight visits.
Apparently, Marinette has some secrets she's left unsaid around Alya. And maybe her friend isn’t as straight as she thought.
Written from combined tumblr prompts from @druidofhibernia and @megatraven.
Marinette’s hair was so soft against Alya’s face. Sure, it tickled a little, but Alya could deal with the minor discomfort to stay in this position. She was curled up on her family’s couch, the end of ‘Legally Blonde’ playing on the TV in English, Marinette practically sitting in her lap, although they had the entire couch available. Marinette had told Alya -frequently - how comfortable she was and insisted on cuddling close. It was comments like those and moments like these that pretty much guaranteed Alya wasn’t going to go on a diet any time soon.
As the movie credits rolled, Marinette turned her head upwards, blue eyes staring up at Alya. “Hey, Alya? I have to tell you something…” Marinette started, hesitance in her voice.
Alya looked down and felt the familiar sensation of a tightened throat whenever their faces were this close. “Yeah, girl? Wassup?”
“It’s about...um...feelings.”
Aw, shit. One of those conversations. Alya sighed and adjusted her position, sitting up a bit more and distancing herself just a few more centimeters. Marinette always felt so deeply, so honestly...she had a lot of feelings and needed to process them a lot. It was inspiring and endearing and only occasionally painful. But Alya thought she might know where this conversation was going. So she let a smirk crawl up her cheeks and used that extra space to bop Marinette’s nose. Like her nose was a button, a small flush appeared on her cheeks. “Feelings, huh? More thoughts on this Adrien stuff?”
“Um… kind of?” Marinette said, hesitantly. She sat up as well, very interested in her fingers all of a sudden. “I mean, I think I really, really am over him now.”
Now that Marinette was no longer leaning against her chest, Alya crossed her arms. “Are you sure? I mean, you’ve been trying to get over him since we started Première this fall. Remember the incident with the handkerchief?”
Marinette shook her head. “This isn’t like that. I’m not going to fall back for him and lose all my progress, I know it. Because…” Marinette gulped hard, looking around the room. And suddenly, Alya’s defenses dropped just a little. This was nervous Marinette, when she wasn’t sure how someone important was going to react to something important. She was timid, she was submissive, she was worried about what Alya would think. And Alya knew, like she always did, that no matter what Marinette revealed, it would just be one more revelation of a piece of Marinette she loved. “Because I know I like someone else more than him now.”
Alya’s eyes went wide. “More than Adrien?”
Marinette’s eyes met Alya’s for one flash, then she nodded and swallowed thickly. “Way more.”
“So, not a Luka thing…”
“No, this is different. It feels different.”
So then, who was he? Alya leaned back in the couch, biting her lip as she considered all the boys Marinette knew. “Is it Nino?” Alya asked, “Is that why you’re so weird about this? Because you know I wouldn’t mind, girl. I mean, it’s not like I still like him,” Alya laughed, nudging Marinette playfully. “He’s not exactly my type anymore. And he was damn supportive when I came out, so like, you’ve got my blessing.”
“It’s not Nino,” Marinette sighed. She pulled her knees up to her chest, forming a wall between the two friends.
“But it’s someone we know, right? I mean, if you like him more than Adrien, he has to be.”
Marinette groaned and scratched at her collar. “Yeah...but…”
“Wait. Wait a minute! I know who it is!” Alya leaned forwards, tickling Marinette’s sides. “I know who you like!” Marinette squealed and giggled, swatting away Alya’s hands. “I know who you like!” she repeated in a sing-song voice.
“Alya, Alya stop!” Marinette cried out. Obediently, Alya pulled away, still laughing. When the laughter of the girls settled into quiet giggles under the music of the movie credits, Marinette said in just over a whisper, “Do you really know?”
“Of course I do,” Alya said sweetly, watching intently as Marinette’s blue eyes widened. “You can’t hide things from me and my journalistic intuition, Marinette. You like Chat Noir!”
“Chat Noir?”
“Don’t deny it, girl! I caught you two last week. Hell, I have half a mind to think you’re dating.”
“And I told you, what you saw wasn’t what you thought it was,” Marinette denied, crossing her arms. Her wide blue eyes looked faraway now, a pout on her lips.
“So you weren’t alone on your balcony together at midnight?”
“We were, but-”
“And you weren’t talking and messing around as if you meet with him all the time?”
“Well, we do, but-”
“And I didn’t catch him stroking your hair and trying to flirt with you?”
“He did, but-”
Alya smiled wide, shaking her head. “And isn’t Chat Noir almost exactly your type? Tall? Handsome? Good hair? Brave, charming, chiseled jaw, charismatic, rougeish?”
“Rougeish? Rougeish isn’t my type,” Marinette denied.
“I’m pretty sure rougeish is every straight girl’s type,” Alya countered.
“And how would you know that?!”
“I know things!” Alya laughed. She flashed a hand at the television. “I watch movies, I read books, I have friends. I spend most of my life with you: I think I know your type!”
Marinette’s laugh died on her lips. “I’m not sure you do,” she said quietly, looking away from Alya.
Alya reached out and touched Marinette’s shoulder. She had talked with Chat enough to know that he was a good guy, that he had friends he cared about, and that he and Marinette would get along just fine. So she said, “Hey, if anyone on the streets is going to catch Chat Noir’s eye, it would be you.”
“Alya, I told you. That isn’t it. We’re just friends,” Marinette denied.
“And you can’t fall for a friend?”
Big blue eyes met Alya’s hazel ones, staring intently. “No, that’s not what I meant. Of course you can fall for a friend.” A shiver ran down Alya’s spine and she had to tear her eyes away first. If anyone here knew what it meant to be in love with a friend, it was her. “Look…” Marinette sighed. “Let’s talk about this later.”
“You mean when you’re ready to admit that there’s more going on between you and Cat Boy?”
“Sure, whatever.” Marinette stood up and Alya could see frustration tensing her muscles. But Marinette stretched, sighed, and looked ready to try and get her mind off of things. “It’s still early. Come on- let’s write our review of the movie for Mrs. Smith before we forget all the English stuff.”
“God, you’re so boring and responsible,” Alya pouted. Marinette offered her a hand and Alya took it, following her friend to grab their laptops and write. Then maybe, they could get back to that position on the couch and Alya could pretend the something Marinette had for someone...was for her.

This is so much fun, I swear before Jesus! As a big family person myself, writing about the reader’s family is cathartic. Mainly because families spill the tea in my stories more than the main character ever will 😙🤣
Boop.
It’s easy to get caught up with Erik, to be swept up in his energy. Although you’d tried to maintain a ‘slow and steady wins the race’ mentality when you’d agreed to be his girl, somehow, someway, the two of y’all just dived headfirst into a relationship.
More often than not, you ended up staying the night over at his crib and you didn’t always use the excuse of wanting to play video games to go see him. He surprised you by how affectionate and touchy-feely he is, though you tried to get used to it and reciprocate in kind, you had been on your own for a good stretch and some habits are hard to break. It didn’t irritate him (so much) anymore and he even took it with good grace, seeming to make it his mission to wrap an arm around your waist that more often, kiss the back of your neck, or pull you into his lap, etc.
Nadia noticed the change in y’all dynamic and while she said that she approved, there was the feeling that she was distancing herself from you, which hurt, if you were being honest, since the two of y’all had hit it off instantly and been flatmates for over two years.
However, you weren’t the type to beg anyone to be friends with you if they didn’t want to.
The independent streak that your mother had nurtured in you your whole life wasn’t disappearing anytime soon, if at all, and occasionally, it clashed with Erik’s habit of spoiling you with too much of, well, just about everything: clothes, shoes, hair, nails, etc. Hell, he had paid off your portion of the rent for six months (you’d managed to talk him out of paying off the entire year just barely). While you would like to say that you were happy, and most of the time you truly are, you couldn’t quite shake the feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop.
“Girl, you stupid.” Breanna, your older cousin, stated bluntly. “This nigga is payin’ bills, showering you with gifts, and, wait, is the dick good?”
You swirled the spoon in the bowl of ice cream, unable to meet her eyes. “So good.”
“Did you hit ya head or somethin’? I should walk out of this cafe right now. You called me alllllll the way out here with a SOS text message and I’m thinkin’ it’s a serious situation.” Giving you the stink eye, she stabbed her slice of pie viciously. “Bitch, you is living the dream.”
“It is a serious situation.” Ignoring her ‘girl, stop it!’ look, you purse your lips, “Like, I don’t know where he works, what he does for a living. He told me a little bit about his childhood, but...”
“Y/N, baby cousin, I love you like a sister, and because I care about you so much, I’m going to say something that might hurt your feelings.” Breanna comments, putting down her fork.
“Oh, damn. Lay it on me then, cuz.”
“Your current boo is not your stank ass ex, Mitchell. Girl, you need to celebrate, apparently yo pussy so good, you got a hotep willing to be a househusband. I mean, damn. Give me lessons!” Expressively, she gesticulated as her voice gained an octave. Customers glanced in y’all direction and you laughed nervously before glaring at her. “Sorry, sorry.” Breanna apologized, tone lowering again. “Does he know about Mitchell?”
“Can we change the subject from that whack ass nigga?” You complain.
Mitchell Sanders had been your high school sweetheart and the two of y’all had dated a year and a half through college. During the final year of your relationship, he had been increasingly short tempered and critical of everything about you. While you were young, dumb and in love, you weren’t too sprung that you didn’t love your melanin skin and his passive-aggressive, caustic comments about ‘if you were a little lighter...’ only frustrated and depressed you enough to eventually dump his ass. Not even two months later, he started dating Cassandra Wynters, a preppy white soccer player. Last you’d heard about the happy couple, they’d been racing for the nearest courthouse as she was pregnant.
“No, because that nigga got yo silly-dilly ass thinkin’ that yo future baby daddy is a no good asshole wit a white girlfriend on the side.”
“Oh God. You know what? I’ma head on out of here.” You try to flag down the waiter, only Breanna kicks you in the shin. “Ow, bitch! Mercy!” You hiss through your teeth. “The hell?”
"You such a baby.” She rolled her eyes. “Sit wit me for a few extra minutes before I gotta go back home.” Breanna instructed sternly, in the way that only family members really could command somebody to do anything. “This the only time I get some personal time away from Miguel and Tiana.”
“Oooh, how are your kids?” You pick up your spoon, the melted sweet dripping off the end and back into the bowl.
Snorting, her tone is fond as she says, “Bad as hell as usual. Dre’s watching them right now so it’s all good. They always behave for they daddy.” Mushy expression changing quickly, she pointed a finger at you accusingly, “Girl, don’t even try and change the subject, though! You need to communicate with ya man so that he can address these issues early in the relationship. I will not stand by and let you sabotage yourself because you scared that you feelin’ this dude a little too much.”
“Whatever, Bre. I’m done talkin’ about this for today.”
Even though you said that, it lingered at the back of your mind the rest of the day. Work was routine so you didn’t mess up due to inattentiveness, thank goodness, and you couldn’t talk to Nadia since right now the two of y’all were in some strange type of friendship/flatmate limbo.
"Wassup?” That’s the greeting Erik gave you before giving you a peck on the lips. “...Ay, you good?” He asked, pulling back a little to scrutinize you carefully.
‘Fuck, he’s figured it out!’ Reaching a hand up, you place it against the nape of his neck, leaning in for another quick kiss. “Mm, better now. I mean, heh, why wouldn’t I be?”
Score one for being overcompensating.
Eyebrows raising, for a heart stopping moment you thought he’d call you out on your bullshit, but Erik just shook his head. “...Okay. Good day at work then. I can work wit that. I’m sayin’ though, you wanted to check out that restaurant on McMillan and 4th West Ave? I made a reservation if you still wanna go...?”
“The restaurant with the skyline view of the city and that famous seafood chef that cooks his food fresh every day?” Eyes lighting up, you launch yourself into his arms and he gripped the back of your thighs, lifting you. “Yes, yes, yes! Please!” Hands framing his face, you kissed him again, this time more intently, feeling his fingers squeezing your thighs. “And afterwards we can come back here. You let me say thank you again, properly?I might even get on my knees.”
Erik set you down on your feet. Bodies brushing up against each other, there’s no mistaking the feeling of him being half hard. “Don’t start that shit. Teasing a nigga before we go out in public.” Popping you on the ass, he snorted at the squeal you let out. “Hurry up. That reservation at seven thirty.”
You gaped at him momentarily, turning to leave, “Why didn’t you say that at first?!”
“I’m tellin’ you now!”
Last minute as it was, the two of y’all showed up literally dressed to slay. All eyes were on the both of you. The question in all of those pale faces were ‘How can these negroes afford to eat here?’, if not phrased exactly like that, the point still stood.
Yet you couldn’t bring yourself to care for once.
It didn’t matter how Erik knew the chef personally and that they shook hands as if old friends, or how the table he’d booked was strategically placed right near the area where the chef worked and you wouldn’t miss a thing while he cooked.
For tonight, you had decided to let those fears and anxieties go. To enjoy this date with ya man.
Then the weirdest thing happened.
“Y/N?” A nasally, high pitched voice called. "Oh my God, Y/N! Hey, hi!” Waving excitedly is a slightly plump, but cute waitress. Handing off a tray of drinks to another waiter, she hurried over to the table. “It’s been so long.”
“Uhh, baby?” Erik is understandably confused and so are you.
“I’m sorry. Do I...know you?”
“Oh! Oh, duh!” Slapping her forehead, she went through a quick demonstration of your alma mater’s hand sign. “It’s me! Cassandra!” She added, when it became clear that you were still drawing a blank.
“O-Ooooh, Cas. Wooooow, girl. Hey.” Your greeting lacked enthusiasm and Erik raised an eyebrow at you. You valiantly ignored this as you grasped for something nice to say. “Lookin’ good, girl. Shoot, I ain’t even recognize you.”
“It’s okay.” Heavily, she dropped into a seat next to Erik and yourself after grabbing a chair from another table. “I know I put on a few pounds since college and I cut my hair.”
“Nooo!” Waving your hands frantically, you shake your head, “It’s not that. It’s just...I thought you’d be on TV, living your dream as a soccer player and everything.” Erik ‘coughed’ into his fist. “Sorry! Cassandra, this is my man, Erik. Baby, this is Cassandra Wynters.”
He ignored her outstretched hand. “And we on a date. So...maybe get back to your job?”
As if you’d only just recognized her uniform, you gasped, hoping it’s believable. “Oh damn! I didn’t mean to take up all your time with my chit-chatting. I don’t want you to get in trouble, and we are on a date, so... Rain check. I’ll have the, um, maitre d’ give you my contact info.”
Cheeks flushed, she raised slowly from her position, “Right. So sorry, that was rude and inappropriate, my just running over here.” Laughing awkwardly, a little piggish snort escaped and you sipped at your drink to avoid laughing in her face. “I’ll catch you later then.”
“Yep. Ta-ta!” Dismissing her, you turn your full attention onto Erik once again, relaxing only when she walked away.
“That musta felt good, huh?” Erik is excellent at reading your body language and cues. You grin evilly and he snorted. “I can’t believe she just ran her ass over here like y’all was in a crowded subway station or something.”
Your shake your head and thank the waiter who refills the glasses while another takes the extra chair away again. “Some people have no home training!” You state in your best posh voice.
Placing a hand over his chest, he played along, effecting a ‘shocked’ tone, “Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave?”
It was very likely that y’all made all those white folks big mad with how y’all were laughing and carrying on. Enjoying the food and each other’s company. And when it came time to leave, Erik’s hand on your waist is a warm comfort as you catch sight of Cassandra being scolded by the maitre d’, or her boss, or whoever, at the corner of your eye. For a brief moment, the two of you stare at each other and you’re the first to look away, tilting your head up to kiss at Erik’s jaw, an action that caused him to startle briefly before he captured your lips in a kiss that toed the line between being indecent and sweet.
Maybe its God, or karma, or something else telling you to stop questioning every single thing about the mystery surrounding this man, that when it was time to know, he would tell you. To enjoy being the central focus of someone’s attention and who actually, truly, wants to be with you and only you. That everything would work out. Whatever the lesson to be learned here, the thought, ‘I am so blessed.’ Kept reverberating through your brain on a loop. And yeah, you gave that dimple cheeked fool some road head while on the way back to his crib.
Can you really be blamed?

Random Natsu Pairings: Natsu x Juvia - No-No Thoughts
Juvia frowned as she threw the covers off her nubile body. That had to be the third night in a row where she had pleasant dreams featuring... him... If it'd only happened once, it would've been a phenomenon. A mere bump on her road to gaining Gray-sama's affections. Twice could be written off as coincidence. But three times...?
"Juvia is starting to see a pattern..." The Water mage scowled as she idly posed in front of her full-length body mirror. While her trench coat did much to hide her voluptuous curves, her nightgown failed to conceal them. Juvia had no confidence issues when it came to the looks department; she knew she could attract practically any man, if she dressed any less modestly... But... She didn't want just any man. Juvia pouted, as the target of her affections knew what she looked like under the coat, and still he didn't reciprocate, at least from what Juvia could tell. Sighing, she mumbled, "Gray-sama doesn't give Juvia the time of day."
And yet, that man... the one who was starting to usurp her Gray-sama...
"Lookin' good, Juvia! You should wear the coat less often!"
Juvia's cheeks became rosy as her mind recalled not only his words, but that big, infectious grin of his as he said them so shamelessly. They went on one job together, all because the other members of Team Natsu had gone on other jobs that day, and he already warmed her from her head to her toes in a profound mix of embarrassment and gratitude. Being so forward and honest, it came so naturally to the pink-headed Dragon Slayer, Juvia found it so... refreshing. Like, it wasn't as if people were usually dishonest with her, or avoided her or anything... But it was rare, so very rare for a man to compliment her so innocently, without any sort of perversion in his eyes. Merely honest admiration.
... Huh. Put like that, it's little wonder she had a romantic dream or two about Natsu Dragneel. And the strangest part was that they didn't seem as... cheesy as the ones she usually had about Gray-sama. They were more... natural. He was excitable and still destructive, but there was also a passionate loyalty as they stared into one another's eyes.
Steam erupted from Juvia's ears as she recalled last night's dream so vividly. Her face had gone completely red, and she wanted for nothing more than to melt into the floor and disappear for even thinking of taking down a poster or two of her Gray-sama...
"JUVIA DOES NOT THINK OF NATSU-SAN THAT WAY!!!" Juvia shrieked at herself in the mirror and panted as she slowly calmed down. Throwing one last suspicious glance at her reflection - she would not be having any more of those thoughts, if she had anything to say about it - Juvia went about picking out her clothes for the day. 'Hmm. Juvia hasn't worn that one dress for a while, not since Gray-sama and the others returned from Edolas... Perhaps Natsu-san has a point about Juvia wearing that trench coat so much. It can get a bit stuffy, too.'
..... Juvia, Juvia, Juvia... you poor, conflicted girl.
~*~
"Hnnn. What do you think, Happy? There ain't much up here today, is there?" Natsu scratched his head as he and his companion surveyed the request board. Sometimes there was just slow days, and this was one of 'em.
"Aye!" Happy agreed somewhat sullenly. Natsu crossed his arms and tilted his head as he contemplated taking the 'protection detail' job. Sure, it was on a train, which he absolutely loathed, but it sounded like the most exciting out of everything else here.
"I wish Erza stuck around so we could do an S-Class job or somethin'...." The Dragon Slayer grumbled. But no, he knew exactly why she wasn't hanging around the Guild right now; Crime Sorciere was in town, and that meant a lot of her time was spent with that guy...
Yeah, Natsu still didn't like him. Not one bit. But as much as he wanted to, he couldn't keep her away from the Blueberry. Dismissing his aggravated his thoughts on the Heavenly Body Magic user when he felt a tap on his shoulder, Natsu turned around and instantly brightened when he saw Juvia standing there.
"Hey, Juvia! Wassup? I figured with everyone out, you'd gone with the Stripper, or Wendy 'n Gajeel." Not that Natsu was displeased to see her, far from it. And Juvia could tell that by locking eyes with him.
"Yes, Juvia woke up late..." Juvia stuck out her tongue bashfully and giggled. She didn't miss Natsu briefly looking her up and down.
"Decided to ditch the coat again, eh?"
Juvia felt her heart skip a beat as she was shown that grin again. Deep down, she knew that she'd only changed up her wardrobe for the day to get Natsu to compliment her again, but it was still sooo nice to be on the receiving end of that big-hearted, carefree grin.
"Y-Yes... Juvia was feeling a bit stuffy today..." Juvia squeaked out, averting her gaze as color rose to her cheeks again.
"Well, ya look great to me!" Natsu laughed lightly, and Juvia found her eyes transfixed on his every word and action. Why hadn't she noticed how... attractive he looked before? Okay, sure, she had a thing for Gray-sama, and Natsu-san was his rival, but she never realized how at ease she could be around him. How comfortable he made her feel.
.... Then again, being a Fire Dragon Slayer, perhaps it was natural for him to be warm and sunny.
Seeming to reach a decision, Juvia pulled a flier out from her pocket and extended it to him.
"I-If you haven't picked out a job yet, Natsu-san, Juvia was wondering if you wanted to go on this one? Juvia picked it out last night, and was thinking it might be nice to go on another job with Natsu-san." Nervously, she waved her hands at seeing his eyes widen, taking that as a possible bad sign. "O-O-Only if you want to!"
Natsu looked at the job description a few moments longer before staring up at Juvia with a few tears pricking at his eyes. Juvia felt more ashamed, but then out of the blue, Natsu swept her up in an enthusiastic hug, making the Water mage flush a deep red again.
"You're the best, Juvia! All these other jobs looked like crud, but then ya come through with a job, exterminating a volcano demon! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" Natsu grinned from ear-to-ear and hugged the stuffing out of Juvia. Maybe today wouldn't be so boring!
Juvia, meanwhile, was still reeling from the small rollercoaster Natsu put her through. She recovered quickly enough, and patted him on the back consolingly, if only to get him to let up on the hug so that the blood would stop rushing to her face.
"Juvia is happy to make Natsu-san's day, but could Natsu-san let Juvia go now?" Juvia squeaked as more 'no-no thoughts' crept into her mind, the longer Natsu kept embracing her. How Natsu-san could fluster her so easily, she would never know...
Eventually, Natsu released her and took a few steps back, still grinning like a loon. Then, as if a lightbulb flashed over his head, the Dragon Slayer dug around in his pocket before offering... something in his extended hand.
"I dunno if you collect stuff to remember Quests, but I do, and I figured you might want somethin' to remember our first mission together a few days ago. I mean, it's just a piece of the dam that we fixed, but what's important is the memory, right?" Natsu explained with a smile as Juvia looked lost. Almost reverently, the Water mage accepted the gift from Natsu and returned his smile with an even bigger one.
"Juvia is happy to accept this memento, Natsu-san!" It was starting to hurt her cheeks to smile so much, but Juvia honestly couldn't care less. So what if she was accepting a chunk of cement wall? Natsu-san was being very thoughtful in sharing a tradition he personally followed whenever he went out on a job, and Juvia was touched that he wanted to share it with her. Juvia would most certainly be looking for some memento to remember this second mission by, and all further missions taken with Natsu-san.
... If Juvia registered her decision to only keep mementoes of jobs taken with Natsu, she didn't berate herself about it. Juvia almost wished Gray-sama had Natsu-san's personality, but then it wouldn't be unique to Natsu-san anymore. And for some odd reason, Juvia liked it that way. Natsu-san was Natsu-san; he embodied his element - warmth, passion, and loyalty.
Suddenly, those 'no-no thoughts' were starting to become 'yes-yes thoughts'...
